Best Breakfast in Kailua town!
I Love the banana pancakes, and the Mokapu omelet is delicious!
This a great breakfast place. I love their banana pancakes and Omelets. The price is very reasonable and you get the large portions you need for a full day on the Island. One great benefit is that if they are crowded it is a very short walk to Kalapawai Cafe. Which brings me to my next favorite place: Macadamia Muffins!!

Another great breakfast place in Kailua. The Crepes are delicious: Breakfast Crepes and Dessert Crepes. Ask for the gluten-free ones, too!

There are actually two Kailua locations. One on the North end of Kailua Beach Park and the other in Kailua Town just as you enter Kailua from the Pali Highway on the North side of the road. They have the best muffins I have ever tasted! Get them before your excursions. The burgers are excellent.

Buzz Lanikai is a great place to eat after a long day at the beach. It is directly across from Kailua Beach Park. It's a little place, However, the food is quite good and the staff is awesome. You can meet many Kailua and Lanikai locals here. If you like ice cream pies, they are very good.
Parking is very limited in their lot, but there is ample parking across the street at the Beach Park. (Don't leave valuables in your car.)

Hibachi is not a restaurant, however, you can get some of the best ready to grill shish-kabobs and poke on the island. They cook quickly and make it really nice for a relaxing evening.

To purchase great organic food for the Vitamix, or whatever, Down to Earth is the place. I like to support them because they were here long before Whole Foods and cost less. They just opened a brand new location on 573 Kailua Road and it is open from 6:30AM to 10PM.
