If you want to go to Disney but don't have the money or time to enter the actual parks check out Disney Springs. Since the revamping occurred a few years back DS has become a true blue destination for those craving that Disney experience. Sooooo many choices of where to go to shop, dine or just wander happily! Disney Springs is located in the Disney World resort area, which is about a 1.5-2 hour drive from St. Pete, depending on traffic. Try a Sunday for a more relaxed traveling experience.

Our top Seafood pick. Prepare yourself for a lovely meal with excellent service on an incredible waterfront setting. We love the early bird special which runs late afternoon to early evening. Inside and outside seating. Seafood and steaks, great soups and salads. Wine cellar and 10+ bar seating. Our fav selections: the School of Fish dish and the lobster bisque soup. $$-$$$$

The oldest Spanish restaurant in the United States! We highly recommend visiting the original location in Ybor City, Tampa, not only for the magnificent architecture and decoration but for the flamenco dancers that entertaining the diners! There are several other locations in Clearwater and Sarastoa to name a few. Each location has the same menu. The entire menu is incredible and 100% delectable...it really is a hard choice of what to order. However their famous Mojito drink is a must try!! $$-$$$$

Arrive early to get a seat at this tiny, upscale restaurant. Amazing quality of meat, chicken and seafood dishes. Sometimes choices are limited and sell out fast which only lends to the unique overall nature of this place. Romantic yet unstuffy.

Neighborhoods

The Old N.E. is a historic neighborhood on the east side of St. Pete. It is a stone's throw from downtown St. Pete and is a charming place to take a drive, stroll, or bike ride through. Many, many historic homes have placards and you will also find the historic Vinoy Hotel perched on the edge of the neighborhood. Close to the water, one can traverse the historic brick streets with a camera and blissfully take photos of lush gardens, neighborhood cats, and rambling abodes. After hop over to bustling 4th Street, which parallels the Old N.E., to find plenty of restaurants, shops and anything else one could ever need , including another recommendation of ours - the Sunken Gardens.
