Restaurant Picks

Bristol is a fantastic city if you like to eat. Here are a few of our favourite restaurant picks!
Everyone is welcome in a Lounge, so we look after every taste from fresh, zingy salads to massive burgers with all the trimmings. We spend a lot of time working on exciting new dishes but we’ll always be somewhere you can go for classic British food like a cracking bacon butty too. We’re proud that our gluten free and vegan menus are not second best; we take pride in making sure they are packed with plenty of interesting, satisfying dishes just like our other menus. Last, but not least, we know that if mum and dad are going to enjoy themselves, then the kids need to be happy. Our proper kids’ menu features healthy, indulgent and fun dishes too. https://thelounges.co.uk/food-drink/

WELCOME ..to the best burgers in Bristol! Since opening in August 2009, The Burger Joint has earned a reputation for creating and cooking Bristol’s best gourmet burgers, including vegetarian and vegan burgers, made to order using our unique ‘Build a Burger’ menu. Bristol’s original gourmet burger restaurant, The Burger Joint’s unique combination of quality and value have made us a firm favourite with Bristolians. We’re serious about food, and want everything here to be the highest standard and best quality – burgers, sides, salads and drinks. We’re convinced that you’ll agree that the quality and value are outstanding – others clearly do, and over the years we’ve consistently been judged not only the best burgers in Bristol but also amongst the best gourmet burger restaurants in the country – most recently in the Daily Telegraph’s review of burger restaurants where we were selected as one of the 4 best outside London.

Step on board the most extraordinary time-machine. Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great ocean liner, Bristol’s no.1 attraction and one of the UK’s top ten museums (TripAdvisor 2017-18). The brainchild of our most famous honorary Bristolian, Isambard Kingdom Brunel; this iconic steam ship is the heart of a multi-award winning visitor attraction. Rescued from rust and wreckage in 1970, and since lovingly restored to her Victorian hey-day, a visit to the SS Great Britain allows you to step back in time and explore true stories from the opulent First-Class to the cramped and quarrelsome Steerage. Each kitchen and cabin, dining room and doctor’s surgery emanates authentic sounds and smells which bring the ship and its history to life. So much more than a dusty old museum, this is a living and breathing, atmospheric experience.
