Things to Do

This paved trail is easily accessible from the guest house. It can be found on the map included here. To access it, turn right on Shady Lane coming out of our driveway. Walk to the corner and turn left on Eastus. Follow Eastus all the way down the hill and you’ll see the trail across the street. Follow it in either direction, but know that it’s not yet looped, so you’ll have to turn around to get home.

The Dallas Streetcar line runs between Union Station in Downtown Dallas and the Bishop Arts District. It runs daily between 5:30 a.m. and midnight with trains operating every 20 minutes. It’s free of charge to ride. To get on at the Bishop Arts District, navigate to “The Local Oak” and park either along the street or in the large garage near the streetcar stop. Get off at Union Station to be within walking distance of Pioneer Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum. You can locate the streetcar on our map included here.
