Parks & Nature
You can walk from the condo through Enchantment Park down through the appx 2 miles of waterfront trails into town. If the weather is nice I highly recommend doing this while you're in town! Beautiful views, lots of friendly faces, bird watching, sandy beach spots, 2 playgrounds, skate park, bike park, softball fields.
To get there from the condo: Head down through the Icicle Inn parking lot by walking where the fence breaks between Alpen Rose's and the Wangan condos' back fence. Walk towards the front of Icicle Inn and look to the right for the little break in the fence that will put you on Joseph St. Take a right and follow the road as it bends to the left. You'll see signs on the right for Enchantment Park. Walk down the walking path and then you'll be overlooking the new Bike and Skate park. Walk past the bike park and between the two softball fields. Then you're in the park! When you see the river, take a left and be on the lookout for paths down to the sand. There are several. If you're up for continuing to walk and get to the bridge, cross it and you'll be on Blackbird Island! The beach right after the bridge we call Hot Sands. It stays sunny the latest and is super shallow and calm so you will have no worries about the current.
