A new restaurant that is a bit more expensive, but the food is well worth it. It's not usually that busy since there is a lot of construction around and not a lot of parking available. This makes walking from my house the ideal plan.
There is also a great beer bar associated with the restaurant called Madison Tap.

The most Wisconsin restaurant around. Awesome food, great drinks, great prices. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This is a "must do" if it's your first time in Madison.
