Croissants - this is the only place in Geneva I have found that they serve decent quality. Also nice place to hang out (free wifi - I think for 30 min). Important, service is very slow! - but this means you can also hang out there as much as you like. Open almost every day and suitable for any time of day

This Halle is open regularly. Saturdays it spills out onto the street to one of my favorite Geneva markets. If you don't mind a glass of wine late morning, grab yourself a selection of breads, cheese and cold cuts and take yourself to the stall that sells wine - take a glass (or bottle), ask for a board & knife and sit with the locals (of all generations) doing the same

In summer a must simply because of the location. Lounge about, dive into the lake from the height of your choice, and fun for people watching. In winter, the fondue is really the best (you must book - snug up with wood fire and warm yourself from from the inside with cheesy goodness at the same time. Note, all year round the food is good and affordable.
