If you want to get out of Eastsound this is a really unique place with outstanding food. It's an old mansion that you can walk around in and explore before or after a meal. There is often live music in the lounge. There is also a small marina adjacent as well.

My new favorite place for a quick breakfast or lunch sandwich. Very very good, plus tasty and unique coffee blends.

Personally I'm a big fan of their pizza, which is great because it's the only pizza place in Eastsound. There is another pizza restaurant in Deer Harbor but I have not tried it.

300 degree views of the San Juan archipelago on top. You can drive up all the way or hike up from a lower point. I definitely recommend if you like great views!

This is where you go for whale watching tours. I've been on one and they basically go way out to wherever the orcas are that day and yes you will see a pack of orcas unless you're extremely unlucky. It is really fun to watch them.

Parks & Nature
The south trailhead offers a fairly short hike to amazing views to the south. The north trailhead is steeper and potentially longer if you go all the way out to turtlehead, but also offers views towards Eastsound and also Waldron Island to the west at shorter distances.

Lots of great trails here. You can rent small boats to paddle out in at Cascade Lake, which is also a nice place for a picnic.

You can actually take a small ferry from the north side of the island to this remote destination. I have never taken the ferry, but I have kayaked here and it's pretty neat. There are tons of seals, sea lions, and otters lounging around the shores. The seagull picture in the master bedroom was taken here.

Yes there is a golf course here. I wouldn't say it's the best course ever made, but it's not bad either... and it's a golf course on Orcas Island. Was not crowded at all when I've been here.

There are tennis and pickle ball courts here that you can play at. There is also a great dog park.
