Food Scene

Sequoia Diner is a lovely local diner which serves delicious breakfast, lunch, and everything in between. Locals tip: they only serve chicken and waffles on Sundays and it's totally worth the trip. When going on a weekend it's best to walk down there, put your name in and then wander into the local shops while you wait for a table to become ready.

Parks & Nature

Joaquin Miller is a large park with tons of hiking trails that pass between grasslands, redwoods, and manicured parkland. Most of the trails are great for easy walking and don't require any technical skill.

Essentials

There are two Farmer Joe's. The one within walking distance to our house was the original and it's pretty small. It's perfect to grab one or two things, but if you want to do any substantial shopping, I recommend going to the larger one on Macarthur and Lincoln Avenue.
