“The is only one Air Force Academy in the United States and it's only a few minuets down the road. Don't miss the opportunity to visit and take a self guided tour of this prestige school. The Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The Visitor Center does not accept reservations for guided tours. All visitors will be required to show their driver’s license to the guard and expect to have their vehicle inspected and/or other random security measures prior to entering the Academy.”

“Nice gift shop of Air Force clothing and AF logo knick knacks. Lovely chapel... but closed for renovations this year (2019)... May be able to view it from outside depending on how much they've roped off.”

“The Cadet Chapel is both the most recognizable building at the United States Air Force Academy and the most visited man-made tourist attraction in Colorado. This aluminum, glass and steel structure features 17 spires that shoot 150 feet into the sky. It is considered among the most beautiful examples of modern American academic architecture. You'll need to access the academy from the North Gate entrance with a valid ID for all that are travelling. ”
