We had a warm welcome from Michael and his family. The house is easy findable and only a short drive from Lucca. Inside is everything you need. The weather was not good enough for a swim, but there is a pool and a lovely sitting area! We had to leave quite early to catch our flight, but that was no problem at all for Michael.

The house has the typical Tuscany flair. It was not the cleanest but it was acceptable. The people in the neighborhood were very friendly and talkative, but they speak only Italian. We never met Michael and also the communication with him was not too easy. His mother Elena speaks only a little English, but gives her best to make your stay as good as possible!

really good appartment at 8 km from lucca so really access with the car , the mum Elena was really nice ! and with disponibility ! the house was big and there are 2 bed really good :) I recommend it !!

Small and cosy house in the countryside above Lucca, great location and very peaceful. One let down is that the pool and garden is shared - but in terms of value for money, the house is very good. Also breakfast was not included, though is noted on listing. And washing machine is available - for €10, not what we needed after camping for a week :(

Lovely stay - very traditional. Very kind and welcoming. Didn't mind that we where late arriving. Clean, tidy, good kitchen with milk, water and coffee.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis chez Patrizia. L'appartement est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et soins avec le souci du détail. Fidèle aux photos. Nous étions surpris à notre arrivée : l'appartement se situe au sous sol mais vite oublié car nous prenions nos repas sur la terrasse donnant sur son magnifique et agréable jardin. (Très bien entretenu comme le reste de la propriété ). A casa di Patty où comment se sentir chez soi en Italie! Merci beaucoup à Patty et sa famille. Dernière chose très importante: les pâtisseries de Patrizia sont de vrais délices!!! Grazie mille Patty!

La casa di Patty è completamente ristrutturata, ben arredata, pulitissima e dotata di tutti i comfort buona anche per lunghi periodi. Ci sono tutte le stoviglie per mangiare. L'accoglienza è stata calorosa e ci ha fatto sentire come a casa nostra. La signora Patrizia ha anche preparato una squisita torta per la prima colazione. È stata un'esperienza fantastica, torneremo volentieri.

Il soggiorno a casa di Patty è stato davvero confortevole. la casa è bellissima e pulitissima, appena arrivati siamo subito stati a nostro agio, grazie alla calorosa accoglienza e cordialità. il soggiorno è consigliatissimo.

Martina's house is really lovely and comfortable and we had a great time staying there. The back garden with the pool amongst the flowers and beautiful outdoor living areas was a gorgeous place to relax after a long day exploring! There is nothing to complain about-the rooms and living area are very nice and comfortable,the coffee was awesome! And martina is very lovely,friendly and hospitable! I had great fun trying to learn Italian talking to her! would love to stay again and will definitely recommend to all!

We had a fantastic and unforgettable summer vacation in Martina’s house. Martina and his husband was very nice and kind. She was very polite and friendly with us. The apartment was beautiful, nice, modern and clean. It was enough comfortable for 5 people. The swimming pool is very clean and the temperature of the water was absolutely proper. The garden was especially beautiful with fruit trees, flowers (petunias) and delicious tomatoes. It was a great pleasure to meet them and to visit they apartment. Wir haben uns bei Martina sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Wohnung ist hervoragend ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Auch der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und gepflegt. Martina und ihr Mann sind sehr diskret, aber immer da, falls man etwas braucht. San Martino eignet sich bestens für Ausflüge zu den "Highlights" der Toskana, auch der Strand ist gut erreichbar. Wir waren mit unserer 2-jährigen Tochter da; sie hat sich wie zuhause gefühlt (auch Babybett und Kinderstuhl waren vorhanden). Wir würden wieder kommen!

Het verblijf was tiptop in orde, alles was aanwezig wat je nodig hebt zelfs handdoeken en (URL HIDDEN) een dagje weg was het heerlijk om in het zwembad te plonsen in de zeer mooie tuin.Martina verwelkomde ons hartelijk. Op 30meter van het huis is er een supermarkt en op 20 meter een bankautomaat.Het vervlijf is goed gelegen op Lucca Pisa Carrara en Firenze te bezoeken. NAar het strand is het een halfuurtje rijden. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Martina. La maison était très propre et idéalement située pour visiter la Toscane et les 5 terres. Je conseille cet endroit même si je trouve cela vraiment dommage que nous ayons dû payer l'eau, l'électricité et le gaz à la fin du séjour en plus du prix de la location. Cela n'était pas indiqué.

We had such a beautiful trip to Tuscany, thanks to our wonderful choice of accommodation! Lella gave us all a very warm welcome in to her families beautiful Tuscan home, where we enjoyed every minute of our time cooking, reading, and drinking fine regional Tuscan wines. Lella is a great host and gave us plenty of tips of what to see around the region, as well as offering cooking classes! Our small group were given the rare chance to learn some traditional style home cooking, and enjoy a 3 course meal of home-made pasta, antipasti and a very special Dolce. ;) We are looking forward to our next visit... hopefully sooner, rather than later!! The place is exquisite and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. The hosts started taking care of us even before we arrived by warming the house up nicely. The spaces, we occupied two of them, were more pleasant than described; comfortable beds, a large kitchen in the bigger unit, and absolutely fantastic views. The scenery is really special with a panorama over a valley with several picturesque villages along the bottom. At the top of a hill nearby there is a church that was destroyed by bombing in WWII. Lella and Piero were truly excellent hosts; helpful when asked but completely discreet. We felt totally comfortable with them and will try and go back again at the first opportunity.

Lella was a conscientious and gracious host. We had never been to Italy nor do we speak Italian, but Lella's hospitality and dedication made us feel welcome and, as our week passed, all too quickly, as a part of her extended family. Lella's son, who was to act as our driver in and around Aquilea and Lucca with day trips to Florence and Pisa, agreed to pick us up at the Rome airport and act as our driver in Rome for several days. He, like Lella, was conscientious and truly interested in making our stay special and was our guide in Rome and in Tuscany. Without Lella and her son, our trip would not have been as rich and rewarding as it turned out to be. We consider Lella and her husband and son our friends, having discussed many topics, including cultural similarities and differences, politics, food, and families. We plan to stay in touch with each other by e-mail and mail, and we are already planning to return in the future. We thought that our stay here would be very nice, but we were overwhelmed by this truly wonderful and meaningful experience.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at Lella's place. The house was perfect for a relaxing holiday- the views were beautiful, it was quiet and peaceful, and Lella and her husband were gracious and accommodating hosts. The apartment was clean and included everything we needed. We took the cooking class from Lella, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! I would recommend this place to anyone, and we hope to return someday.

Nice B&B! Beautiful apartments, private little terrace in beautiful surroundings. You have to drive quite far uphill (do some grocery shopping before you go there) but then you have a great view. I you want to have dinner over there ask in advance, it's not always possible. But when it is possible it tastes great (Breakfast was not available).

À notre arrivée nous avons trouvé une corbeille de fruit et une bouteille de vin. Un petit fond de cuisine aussi : sel poivre huile vinaigre. L'appartement était conforme à la description. Il y avait meme des commodités en plus du type machine à laver et deuxième toilette.serviette de toilette et de piscine sont fournis ainsi que les draps. L' appartement est bien placé, un peu à l l'écart de la ville mais pas trop loin. Calme si ce n'est les coqs qui chantent le matin ! Monica a toujours été dispo pour répondre à nos questions pour nous aider à visiter. Tres bonne adresse.

We spend a week at the Villa Sardini and enjoyed it very much. Appartments are furnished and decorated in a very tasty way. Hosts are very helpful and friendly. The pool is awesome.

Magnifique localisation. Accueil très sympathique mais peut être ensuite parfois difficulté à rencontrer quelqu'un (pour changer serviettes de bain etc...). Manque de clarté quant aux changements de draps et serviettes de bain. Infrastructure moderne et équipement de grande qualité. Seul bémol: manque un aspirateur et présence de poussière sur le sol dès l'arrivée (mais nous sommes très attachés à la propreté). La piscine est réellement un plus. Cela reste une très belle expérience à recommander. Bon rapport qualité prix.

It was such a cosy, basic and typical Italian house with a stunning view. Absolutely amazing! The communication with Susi was fine. The communication with the keyholder was hard because they couldn't speak a word in English. Well we used our hands to communicate ;) The perfect place to refresh far away from the daily hustle somewhere in the off of Tuscany.

Very nice and quite place with a lovely terrace and beautiful view, placed in the middle of the forest on a hillside, where we “slowed down” and enjoyed our vacation. Nice pool - it was perfect for our 5 years old son. Friendly owners that that left the garden and pool area for our full disposal. Recommend it for relaxing and enjoying time with the family.

The lovely people who live there and welcome us where very kind and helpfull! They leave you alone, but are there for you if you need something. Very, very Nice!

We loved our stay in this Tuscan retreat. The view from the house is beautiful and its great being away from the town but still close enough to pop in if needed. We miss our dips in the pool and bbq's as the sun goes down.

We loved this place! Marco's relatives and downstairs residents Filippo and Silvia were very welcoming and pleasant to talk to. Our family came here for the weekend during our longer stay in Florence, and we wish we could have stayed longer. The space was very comfortable, even though it is on the top level of the house, opening all of the windows was no problem as there was almost no mosquito in sight (not something I can say the same about Florence!). The view from the terrace on top of the house is wonderful, as the surroundings are very beautiful - from the nearby church to the surrounding mountains. The kitchen is also well-equipped with plenty of nice cookware and accessories should you be interested to prepare any meals there. Our children also really enjoyed playing on the nearby playground. The place is only about 15-20 minutes drive from Lucca, and 50 minutes from the sea in Viareggio. A great place to stay if you are considering either of these destinations.

We fell in love immediately with this wonderful and lovely apartment. It is so pretty located, from the terrace you have a stunning view and you can feel the typical Tuscany flair. Apartment is clean, big enough for a family, pretty and completely furnished and cosy... we just love it!!!!!!! :) Silvia and Filippo were so sweet and always helpful, it was all perfect for us. L'accueil des parents de Marco était très sympathique, le village est assez calme, et la terrasse sur le toit idéale pour le soir!

Wir ( ( 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder 10 und 12 J. waren im Sommer 2016 für 2 Wochen bei Marco und es war fantastisch. Ein schönes altes Haus mit passenden Möbel, eine schöne Dachterrasse mit tollen Ausblick, aufmerksame und nette Vermieter (vielen Dank für den Wein und das Gemüse aus dem Garten). Es hat uns sehr gefallen und wir würden jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen

Nous avons eu un bon séjour à la Fattoria 1700. C'est un joli appartement situé sous les toits dans la rue centrale à San Martino In Freddana-monsagr, Toscana, Italia. Rosana, Giuseppe et Alessandro nous ont très bien accueilli. A l'arrivée nous avons reçu une petite bouteille de vin blanc et un gâteau maison. Durant toute la semaine de notre séjour ils ont toujours été disponibles pour répondre à nos questions ou nous suggérer des visites à faire. La région est magnifique avec ses paysages (mer, campagne et montagne) et ses villes remplies d'histoire (Lucca, Firenze et Pisa). La Toscane est merveilleuse. Nous recommandons chaleureusement l'endroit. It is a lovely apartment located in the attic in the central street in San Martino In Freddana-monsagr, Toscana, Italia. Rosana, Giuseppe and Alessandro have welcomed us very well. On arrival we received a small bottle of white wine and a homemade cake. Throughout the week of our stay they were always available to answer our questions or suggest visits to make. The area is magifique with its landscapes (sea, countryside and mountains) and its cities full of history (Lucca, Florence and Pisa). Tuscany is wonderful. We definitely recommend the place. What a fantastic holiday we have just had at Francos beautiful home. The villas view from the balcony was to die for. We stayed here for 8 days with our three children and we all loved it. It's a 10mins drive to lucca which is beautiful with plenty of culture and shopping. The villa is set up in the olive groves which was very peaceful but you do need a car. The villa itself is very well equipped and all the beds were very comfortable. Our children loved the pool which was much needed in italys heat this time of year. Franco was very helpful and spoke very good English so he could help you with anything you needed to know. No fault of the villas but remember you are surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees so the mosquito are everywhere!! so take traps and repellents etc. If you want a chilled out relaxing villa this is the place for you. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. Thank you again Franco.

It was a very nice stay in the beautiful house in the hills near Lucca. A lot of privacy. Bedrooms in the Upper floor. One big bed and balcony with great view. Kitchen well equipped. Outside there was even a big chimney with barbeque, built by Franco himself. We were very positiveley surprised by the quality of the house. And of Franco's and Irenes friendly manner. The clean outdoor-pool helped a lot during these hot days. Very hospitable hosts who gave very good tips for discovering the seaside and Toscana. If you want to relax, to enjoy Mountains and beach, near the beautiful City of Lucca and Pisa or Florene, this is the perfect Place for you.

Der Empfang und die Betreuung waren sehr herzlich und aufmerksam. Mariella und Gino waren permanent für uns da. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Haushälfte war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Man hat gemerkt, dass sie sich freuen uns zu beherbergen. Einziger negativer Punkt war die Lage bezüglich Distanz zum Dorfzentrum (2 km den Berg rauf auf einer schmalen Strasse).

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben; sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns gut erholt, sehr wohlgefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Die Ankunft war trotz Sprachbarrieren sehr herzlich. Wir wurden zu Beginn mit kleinen toskanischen Schmankerln auf den Urlaub eingestimmt! Wenn man die Seele baumeln lassen möchte ist man in diesem Haus bestens aufgehoben. Sehr schöne Landschaft und wirklich überaus nette und bemühte Gastgeber!!!
