  • Marie was an excellent host and extremely considerate of our time and needs.

    Jathusan2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • I would have given this spot a 6 out of 5 stars if it was possible. There is a certain magic and charm within the four walls of this space that cannot be just simply stated or replicated. Marie's unique talent has filled this space with little treasures that it becomes more than just a stay in a hard loft, but as if you're in an adventure, continually discovering little details that keep you captivated from the moment you enter, till the time you leave. Thank you Marie for sharing this gem.

    Antonio2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely beautiful and Marie was very accommodating. We had gotten into town a little early but we were able to keep our bags in the room while Marie finished getting it ready. Really great areas to explore nearby, wonderful view and the place itself was so stunning and unique!

  • Tara's flat was perfect for my stay in Toronto. She had it ready and clean for me, and she was very flexible with my check in and out times. Although she wasn't in the flat, she made sure my stay was comfortable even from far away. Her flat is just what you see in the pics and it's very easy to walk and commute from it.

    Valeria2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great experience staying at this place. Tara was very quick to respond to any inquiries and was very easy to coordinate with. The apartment is in a great location in downtown, with everything within walking distance. Furniture and amenities are modern and the place was clean and well kept. Massive balcony also. The bedroom has big windows and the bed had fresh clean sheets upon my arrival. Overall it was a great experience!

  • Kat is an excellent & attentive host. She made sure everything that I needed was accessible. Check in was smooth as she met with me a little before check in time, great with punctuality. The condo has a great view, with a nice modern look & was up kept and clean. The condo access is exclusive giving you a great sense of safety and privacy. My guest and I love to cook so we had access to the kitchen. Cooking there was a pleasure. Overall a great stay that I will keep on my favourites list.

    Hector2018-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable bed, nice building ina great location.

    David2018-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • A communicative host. They were able to accommodate me on extremely short notice when my other Airbnb reservation canceled just before my train departure. Host was also very patient in waiting for my arrival as I had difficulties navigating the city when I got to Toronto. The apartment had a great view and was within minutes of my conference location. I never had a problem walking to anything in the city or finding what I needed. Thank you again for making sure I had a place to stay when I arrived in Toronto.

    Chelsea2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • My experience was not great. The fridge had rotten food and apartment had a foul food odour for all 3 days during my stay. I did not buy food for myself since I was afraid of what actually was in the fridge......When they did come in to clean the fridge (not a good cleaning job and fix TV and internet, they left the door of the apartment unlocked. All my work, computer & camera etc... in the apartment. They didn't even notify that did not lock the apartment, I guess they did not have an extra key since their lock/unlock is done via cell and it could not connect via their internet within the apartment since internet was not working. Totally irresponsible! TV did not work at all and internet did not work all the time. Location is great and easy (streetcar, metro, bus and train terminals) access to main downtown and walking distance to Bishop Island airport terminal. Lots of light and a nice apartment. Close walk to waterfront promenade.

  • Stay was perfect, no issues to report and all was as expected! Thank you for the hospitality!

    Tyler2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine and Greg made me feel very welcome into their home. I was welcomed with a mug of tea and an assortment of cookies. The house and my room were very pristine and well kept, exactly as portrayed in the pictures. I was even provided for towels, a robe, and supplies ranging from toothbrush and body wash to tissues and oatmeal. My hosts were patient with me, advising and guiding me on things to do around the city. They celebrated with me on the success of my exams. All in all, I truly enjoyed my first trip to Toronto and most importantly, my first booking on airbnb because of Elaine and Greg's hospitality. Many thanks

    Ana2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • I spent an awesome time with Greg and Elaine at Toronto. The place is very well designed as well as very comfortable. You will also get the best tea ever. The other guests I met were friendly and we had nice talks about there experiences. If you are looking for a beautiful and comfortable spot with people to meet and good advices about the city, this is the place where you should go.

    Thomas2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Elaine and Greg was such wonderful experience! They are such gracious and warm hosts and they immediately made me feel at home. Their house is in a part of town that makes you feel part of the city, near coffee shops and a nice little breakfast eatery just a few minutes walk from their home. Elaine has created this awesome walking tour of Toronto, and she one of the most interesting and amazing people I've met and it was lovely to get to drink tea with her and talk about the world, traveling and life. If you stay here, it's very likely that Elaine and Greg will become your new friends.

  • The space was very neat and tidy and had everything we needed. I stayed a night with my husband and found it to be spacious and in a great neighbourhood. One of the best Airbnbs we have stayed at.

    Shana2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kate & Mike's place was very clean and conveniently located. On our last night, parked in the street a few houses down, we forgot the car unlocked, the sunroof open all the way, and windows completely down - not one item was missing or moved. This says a lot to me about the neighborhood. A+

    Ludovic2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved your place. Had everything we needed, comfortable, stylish and homey. Enjoyed the neighbourhood and local restaurants.

    Lisa2018-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. Super comfy bed. Cozy and warm.

    Rachelle2018-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. We really enjoyed our entire stay in Toronto, and wandered all over the city, but the highlights definitely include drinking wine on the back porch and exploring the area right around Kate's place. The apartment is beautifully designed and extremely clean, and the bed was very very comfortable. We'll be back!

    Claire2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was perfect for our three day stay in Toronto. Even though Kate and Mike were unable to greet us when we got there our arrival could not have gone smoother! The whole thing was very stress-free. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and has a dangerously comfortable bed. There was a great cafe across the street where we got breakfast every morning and everything else we needed was close by.

    Claire2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kate’s place was both cozy and stylish, making it the perfect weekend getaway. Thank you for sharing your space with us and being great hosts!

You can really walk anywhere from the studio, or take a short taxi ride, but the place itself honestly the makes it hard to leave because it's so nice. Ivana was also a super great host. Any questions were immediately answered. She definitely made our stay very easy and comfortable. If I am ever back in Toronto, I will surly stay here again!

  • Fun, stylish space. Walking distance to everything!! Great communication with the hosts. The only issue we had was - we had to wait until someone who lived in the building (not the hosts) to let us in. And even then, they were a little skeptical as to letting some strangers in.

    Sara2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, just a 5-10min walk from Union Station, incredible (night) view, fast WiFi (just check the login/pw before you go - we forgot and had to go hunt for a hotspot), and usually a very quick response from the host when contacted. All in all a great experience, 9/10.

  • This is a great flat. Less then a 10 minute walk from the Via Rail Station, connected to the path. Air Canada Centre is less then a 5 minute walk, if that. Grocery store near by. If you are travelling on business, everything downtown is within walking distance. Coming in from both airports is also easy. The apartment is a perfect size, with lots of natural light. The Kitchen has everything you need to warm up food, or cook whip up something for breakfast. The bed is comfy and I love waking up to natural light. The apartment is spotless and simple. Great art work. Its quiet and a relaxing place. Highly recommend Johnny & Alex's place. Pool was closed during my stay but would have loved to enjoy the pool at the end of the day. Next time.

Cozy Private bedroom just for you in the heart of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods Toronto has to offer, Little Italy. 5 mins short walk to Bathurst subway station which takes you anywhere in the city. This lively neighborhood is packed with trattorias, trendy restaurants, cafés, pool halls and some of the best bars in town. It's sidewalks are humming with activity on weekends, especially when the weather turns cozy, with locals and visitors alike sipping espresso on outdoor patios.
We share this lovely home with guests from all over the world. When you see another fellow guest, smile and say "hi". Nothing completes an adventure like new friends. In your home, you will find your very own private room, a relaxing lounging area that you meet other beautiful people like yourself, a fully equipped kitchen to show off those pan tosses, and plenty washrooms so you will never have to wait a second on those urgent moments. All of our common spaces (Lounge, kitchen and washrooms) are cleaned daily by our awesome staffs to ensure your comfort.
Although Little Italy is now demographically more of a mix, the atmosphere is still very much Italian. The Italian trattorias, known for their family-style, casual dining, are as much about the social atmosphere as the food itself. If you’re not that hungry, but still craving good company, head to one of the traditional Italian coffee shops or billiard halls. These “social clubs” are filled with conversation, laughter and many passionate discussions about soccer. And your visit would not be complete without a bite or a sip at Café Diplomatico. This popular destination has become a Toronto institution for coffee lovers. Affectionately referred to as “The Dip” by locals, the café is often used as a set by filmmakers. There might be a line-up just to get a seat, but the savoury Italian dishes, reasonable prices and people-watching opportunities make it well worth the wait. Quoted from TorontO.
  • Pictures can be a little misleading on how the room really looks but overall nice stay for an overnight trip. The bed sheets had some coffee stains and the door can be difficult to lock. Host was very responsive and check-in was easy. The house’s location is ideal and is just a short minute walk away from Bathurst station.

    Valeria2019-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, was in the room on the bottom floor so it is noisy when guest are coming in and out. I am a light sleeper, I was aware but it didn't bother me. Everything was spotless and had everything you need. Would highly recommend, great location. Walk able to Bloor where there are many places to eat and shop. Good price too.

  • When we checked in someone else was in our room who had not checked out and had taken the keys. We waited an hour and someone came by but we had to leave our bags in the common area while someone else was going to come and clean. Very unprofessional. Meghan2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • the house is quite old, so it is very noisy at night This room is in the living room so we can hear everything when someone enters the room The first night we can barely sleep because of the noise We tried to contact the management to see if we can get a room change but we got no response in general fair price and good location, not super clean earplugs are strongly recommended

  • We had a short but a great experience at Josh's place! Starting with Josh and his mother being very kind and helpful with my girlfriend and me. The place was fresh and clean, exceeding all our expectations for a basement, it was spacious and very cozy!

  • Very clean and tidy apartment with all you should need. Lovely large bathroom with separate walk-in shower and bath, towels, essentials provided. Comfortable lounge with kitchenette and all mod cons i.e. fridge, cooker, microwave, toaster. Communication was good. 10 min walk to Christie station so easy access East/West and then to transfer stations for North/South. Quiet area. Would stay here again.

    Christine2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Josh's place. The place is about 8 mins from two subway stops and the area is great for restaurants and bars. It was clean, comfortable and well furnished. Josh and his family made us feel welcome. We would happily stay again.

    Karan2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! We had the complete basement for us, fully equipped. We parked the car in the street and purchased the weekly parking ticket online (roughly 25$). Place was well located, quiet, clean and josh was a great host. Highly recommend this place for your stay in Toronto!

  • Awesome place to stay! Sparkling clean, close to downtown, check in was a breeze.

  • Spent a very comfortable 11 nights at this spacious basement apartment. Great location and amenities, convenient check in process and Josh is a very responsive host! This was our second stay here and we'd definitely stay again on our next visit :)

  • Josh’s flat is an ideal accommodation for a short stay in Toronto. The flat was close to subway stops, shops and restaurants. Although we didn’t see josh, his family were really welcoming and lovely to chat to. Check in was simple as they left the key in a locked box and we let ourselves in. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

    Chris2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We really had a great stay in Toronto. Not only because of the awesome city but also because of the great hospitality of Josh. He helped us out a lot which I am really grateful for. I can just recommend staying with him. Its a beautiful apartment situated in a beautiful and quiet area. 10 mins walk to the next main food street (in particular Korean food) and the closest metro station. I would definitely stay with him again.

  • Lina and Paul were amazing! The basement apartment is fully self-contained and we had everything we needed, and it afforded us the privacy we were after, as we were applying for jobs and looking for longer-term accommodation. We didn't have a car, but the GO station was ten minutes walk, and the bus stop less than five, and it didn't worry us at all. Lina and Paul went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and we appreciate it so much, thank you. We'll always remember our stay - not only because our first snow experience was at their place :)

    Hannah2014-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lina and Paul were super welcoming! Their place is super accessible and they were really easy to communicate with. The apartment is well equipped with all the essentials and it is super clean. They have a great entertainment system where you can watch movies and TV shows in case you are looking to have a night-in.

  • We had a lovely stay in the poolside appartment. Thanks Paul for all the information and thank you Lina for helping us out when we got lost ;) we loved the pool and the quiet neighbourhood. Definitley recommend this home to stay in Torronto, good Downtown acces by GO train.

    Lisbeth2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lina and Paul were so nice. The room was amazing and the area was fantastic! We loved getting to meet the guests staying in their other room as well. The back patio was lovely, and while it’s a little bit of a drive to downtown Toronto it was a really nice area and not a bad commute at all.

    James2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is wonderful close to the train station in an excellent neighborhood. Lina and Paul are fantastic hosts. they are warm and gave us great info and ideas to help organize our trip. Wish we could have stayed longer longer ! Definitely would stay there again !

  • We were very lucky Lina & Paul's place was available for us! Quick to respond, kind and flexible, and the studio flat is lovely, perfect for single travelers & couples. Very good location. I only wish we were able to stay a bit longer to enjoy the beautiful pool & backyard area. :)

    Jazmyn2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Paul and Lina were fantastic. They were very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions we had. They offered several suggestions for getting around, places to see and ways to save money. The house is not in the city, which I liked, but it is only a couple minutes from the GO Train which is really convenient for getting into the city. I would highly recommend staying with them. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay with them again if we were in that area again.

    Elijah2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lina and Paul were such a great pleasure to have as a host. Their place is absolutely beautiful and they had great communication. The pictures posted are accurate and the bed was so comfy you didnt even want to leave it. We will definitely be staying here again whenever we are in Toronto again.

    Julie2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lina and Paul were SUPER hosts! We felt welcomed and pampered from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It was like visiting family! The apartment was perfect with enough room to stretch out and feel at home...then you step out the door and into the pool! Far enough away from Toronto for peace and quiet, but close enough to zip downtown for the Blue Jays game. Don't know how our stay could have been better!

Welcome! My place is close to The Hogtown Vegan, Bloor St, Korea Town, TTC, Parks, Dufferin Mall & The Comedy Club, liquor store and oh so much more. You’ll love my place because of the light from the deck, the comfy bed, the cozy coolness and, in the warm weather, the back deck. My place is good for couples & solo adventurers. The apartment is on the second floor of a relatively quiet 3 floor house. Not suitable for families with children.
Close to subway (5 minute walk) In the heart of Little Portugal, close to Little Italy and Korea Town. In the summer months my gorgeous back deck comes to leafy life.
Quiet area transitioning to a trendy hipster hive.
  • Fantastic place and host. Located in a great area- close to great restaurants, bars, the subway, shops, etc. Rolyn is an amazing host. Very responsive to messages and provided all the info we needed about the apartment and the house. Had everything we needed! Another indication of how he clearly cares about the apartment-he was finishing up some repairs as we arrived. Didn't get to use the deck as it was raining when we stayed there but would have loved to. If we'd had more time there, the collection of DVDs would have been perfect for a rainy night in. And the disco ball is awesome!!! Highly recommended!!!

    Rebecca2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a really great stay! Easy check-in, great communication, and clean. Would definitely recommend Rolyn's place!

  • Very attractive funky eclectic decor. Lots of personality which I enjoyed. Great bathtub! Many amenities. Walk from subway and view from deck will be very nice in better weather. Icy sidewalks were tricky pulling a wheeled suitcase. Would definitely stay again.

  • This place is extremely clean and perfect if you're looking for a place to crash while in Toronto. The bed was comfortable and the apartment has everything you need. That said, it's not in the best of neighbourhoods and doesn't necessarily give a feeling of "home" if you're looking for an extended stay.

    Dan2018-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Basic place to stay in a great location.

    Martin2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Baaaaaaaaad. I booked the unit for 2 days. But, I was not able to stay more then 30 mins!!!! It was the worst room I have ever had!! Very dirty and terrifying!! There is giant machine for central heating system in the bed room behind the door!!!. Everything is very dirty and old. It doesn’t look like the pictures at alllll ( floor, towel: washroom)It was dumb and awful.

    Daisy2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Just like the description said, the condo has a perfect location, 15 minutes walk to Eaton center, which is the biggest shopping mall in the city. the condo was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the sofa bed was not in a good condition. It could not be opened flat. It still folded a little bit after we opened it and tried to make it into a bed. We had three people, so we needed the sofa bed, and my friend who slept on the sofa bed was not happy about it. Besides, in the bed room, there's a space like a den, there's a huge machine in it. It turned out to be the A/C of the whole floor. It made super loud noise every 10 minutes day and night. And it could not be turned off. I was waken up by the noise several times during the nights and could not sleep well. When I said it loud, I meant it, I felt I was sleeping in a busy factory.....

  • The place is lovely,it provides all the things we need.David reply to our questions really fast. However, the location was not that nice. Some people staring at us in front of the door when we come home late at night. And people throwing party at next door, which is kinda noisy.

  • Great downtown Toronto flat. Fantastic price, but think about the fact that you'll need to pay between $20-27CAD for parking. It is conveniently just across the street tho, so that's nice! Overall, very happy with our stay!

  • Staying here was one of the best Airbnb experiences for me. Spacious clean room, comfy bed, huge bathroom and dressing area. The team responded quickly, check in/check out is super smooth. The shared kitchen and luggage locker are great bonus. The cleaning lady is very thorough, she’s also very nice and friendly. Highly recommend!

  • David's location is in the city centre and the room is very nice and private with a great hot tub.

    Faris2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Myself, wife and best friend stayed at this location for three nights. We were all very disappointed. First off the location was not ideal, as it was kind of remote and seemed unsafe. We were all uncomfortable walking in the dark there. Additionally, we were surprised as the place was not up to our standards of cleanliness. There was a lot of dirt and grime on the window seals and the shower was quite old and appeared dirty. One of our biggest concerns was a lack of towels. We were only allotted one towel each for our stay, which was problematic as there were no facecloths or towels to dry your hands. When we requested another towel we were told it was not possible. Overall we were not happy with our stay.

    Travis2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fine and as described/shown in the pictures. A nice and big room with a big private bathroom and even a balcony (facing the backyard, but still nice). David was very nice and there were no problems checking in/out or parking the car in the garage.

It was super easy to get around the city as the location was basically within a 5-10 minute drive from Torontos top tourist spots ! Adeel was a great host as well and was always ready to answer and questions I had throughout the stay! Cant wait to come back!

  • The house was in a really nice and convenient area downtown, close to the many of the main attractions in Toronto! The listing was accurate, my room was as pictured, and the house was clean and tidy. I only met Greg, and Ruby when I checked in, who were very welcoming and friendly (as well as their kitty!) throughout my stay. Being able to check in anytime was much appreciated. Also got to meet new people from around the world who shared a room with me or lived in the same house, (there were a few of us) which was a bonus! Would love to stay here again when next in Toronto! :)

  • The place was absolutely amazing. To be honest I wish I could have spent one entire day just staying in the house as it was beautiful with plenty of books to read with the sun shining through the window. Safe neighborhood, quick and easy access to TTC streetcars and subways. You're basically in the heart of Toronto. I would stay again whenever I visit Toronto.

Come spend a night in this beautiful loft with a retro twist in the heart of Downtown Toronto. 5 mins walk to Queen Subway Stroll through famous landmarks such as the Dundas Sq. and Eaton Centre. Glimpse into Toronto’s past through the revitalized St. Lawrence Market, popular among shoppers and photographers. The charming Distillery District has become a destination unto itself with corky Victorian shops hinting an industrial twist. Vibrant nightlife alongside of Queen and Church street
In your home, you will find your very own cozy bed room, a clean private washroom, a fully equipped kitchen to show off those pan tosses, and a lounging area with additional sofa bed.
We are located right on the dividing line of Old Town and Church-Yonge Corridor and enjoy the best of both worlds. Old Town is a mishmash of restored historic attractions and trendy new developments. Farther east, the historic Distillery District is one of Toronto's hottest entertainment destinations. It's filled with restored Victorian-era factories that house contemporary galleries, bustling pubs, and chic restaurants. - quoted from fodor's travel Church-Yonge Corridor is famous for its unique diversity. It is home to Toronto's most vibrant LGBT community, hosting parade during the summertime. You can experience the concerts, parades, discussion panels, exhibits, and more during this week-long celebration.
  • I would not suggest this place in the winter, the heating is set very low I thought the windows were open or the heater was broken. There is also no heat settings available in the room and after emailing the host, they said it was "set to the highest possible temperature". With the thin blankets provided, it was kind of an uncomfortable stay, but for such a cheap price in the heart of downtown, it depends on what kind of stay you want. It has all the necessities you need for your stay such as towels, soap, and a kitchen. I would also suggest to not drink their water as it tastes weird even after boiling it with the water boiler they provide. Not bad though, stayed here in the summer and it was great, but winter? not so much. It was very cold, but thank god it wasn't below -10 degrees this December. Highly recommend this place in warmer season as it's a clean and well-kept place though!

  • Do you enjoy a host that uses bots to provide vague and incorrect responses? Being given the wrong entry codes for midnight arrivals? Do you get joy from experiencing the not-so-dulcet-tones of your neighbour’s every move? Experience their laughs, cries, use of water and entry and exit at every moment of your stay! Add the sounds of traffic and construction to round out the sensory experience. If so, this Airbnb is for you!

  • Great, clean, simple apartment very conveniently located. If you want to tour downtown Toronto on foot and on a budget, this place is a no brainer. Very helpful host as well. I made dinner from groceries I bought at St. Lawrence Market, a short walk to the south. Enjoyable stay.

  • I highly recommend staying with David if you visit Toronto. His place is very close to everything, walking distance to all the spots in downtown. Dealing with David was very easy and very responsive! The place is very clean and very equiped with kitchen gear. If I was to go back to Toronto again, I will definitely stay with David!

    Jennifer2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • David was very quick to respond and answer any questions I had! The space is clean and simple. Great if you're staying for a bit! Very close to the Eaton Centre and downtown as well!

    Kevin2017-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The property is nice and clean, and close to the Eaton Centre. It was easy to find and quiet at night. Absolutely no problems, would stay here again.

  • My host was professional yet friendly. It was clear that this was a business but I loved the way that it was handled. I love a space with privacy because it feels like home but the host and is assistant were very accessible. Instructions for entry when arriving were clear and they also contact you with exit instructions. I was very pleased

  • Second time staying at this location and I definitely recommend it. Perfect location, great communication with the host, and overall an amazing space.

Flexible check in/out, staying with me in top floor (24 stairs up) 40 year old sunny townhouse complex: 650 square feet electric heating. 8 mins from downtown by 24 hour transit/bike; 25 mins walk). A few small shops/restaurants nearby: sushi, greek, ethiopian, breakfast. lgbt positive. I cherish guests' suggestions. Corktown neighbourhood is east of downtown, slowly growing, eclectic, working class and safe. Parking is behind the complex just 50 metres away. Anything you need, just ask!
Welcome to Corktown district in Toronto (Downtown East). Nice, residential street but so close to the action and pulse of the city. Easy key access upon arrival for confirmed guests. Come and share my space in Toronto. I am a non-smoker. If you wish to smoke, only outside on the patio/balcony. My calendar is always current, even if it appears as "last update x days ago" which means I most likely have had no changes in that period. Wake up ready to start your day with fresh, hot coffee and the newspaper! My house is a mixture of Spanish, Mediterranean and Latin. Yes, I love the sun THAT MUCH! 10 minutes to centre of town or less! And a bike is included!!!! I speak English fluently and French (not fluent). In my kitchen is a plaque "mi casa es su casa". GUESTS (there are no strangers for they are only people whom you have not yet met). HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE HOUSE. Cook, relax, watch tv, put on some music, dance, LIVE!!! Lounge, dining area, patio, etc. QUICK TIPS: Canadians pay a lot for internet and cellular services. If planning to use your phone here, ensure that you request a roaming package from your carrier before arriving. I also have a laptop in the living area with a guest account if required for email, etc. MONEY AND CREDIT CARDS US dollars accepted everywhere. we do not use the penny so items are rounded up or down. Contact your credit card issuer before arriving to advise when you will be using your card in Canada. SPEED LIMITS ON ROADS Our roads are in KILOMETERS and not miles so 60 km = 35 miles, 80km = 50 miles and 100km = 60miles on the freeways. SALES TAXES Our tax rate is 13% and not included in anything except cigarettes, gas and alcohol at a store. food at a grocery store is not taxable. of course, junk food is taxable. LOCATION: Subway less than 10 minutes away. Grab a day pass for $11.50 approx and traverse the city. You may purchase at the drugstore on the corner. It's good for two people on a holiday of a Sunday. Toronto Transit Commission provides our transit system. To arrive by airport, train, etc please see the directions and house rules sections (for confirmed guests). About 10 minutes taxi from the bus station and train station. Very gay-friendly area!! Close to funky Leslieville and Riverside (10 minutes east on foot over the bridge); enjoy many unique, small businesses in those areas. Cabbagetown and Distillery 5-10 minutes away, northwest southwest, respectively; the gay village "Church Wellesley" 10 minutes away. Top floor of a sunny townhouse complex, 30 seconds from 24 hour transit. West-facing bedrooms; 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, garden patio with east sun and lots of plants! It is about 27 steps up inside the house to the top floor (self-contained entry to the house). Great downstairs neighbours and in the complex. Front shared garden. Hardwood floors, wood furniture, cotton slipcovers, cotton rugs in case you have allergies. YOUR PRIVATE SPACE: Private bedroom with double bed (super comfortable) full linens, towels, shower supplies, soap, toothpaste, etc...hey, we all forget something when traveling, it seems. There is also a single inflatable bed in the room for your use. Room size: About 120 square feet / 12 metres squared. Lots of hot water and long showers are not an issue at all! Speaking of showers, the North American standard is a lever which controls hot and cold water (we seldom have two water taps in the shower). Just turn it to the left for hot water. Make yourself comfortable, put your feet up after a fun-filled day and relax. Individual heating controls are on the walls of each room. Air Conditioning is through high-power portable units - just ask and it can be hooked up in a couple minutes. WIFI thoughout the house Digital TV with many channels (in a few languages) in living room - tv/dvd for the bedroom available - just ask! THE APARTMENT (includes full usage): -Full Kitchen - food negotiable; coffee, tea, fruits, etc aways available -Dishwasher -Washer -Filtered Water -Microwave The Dining Room / Living Area: Comfortable dining chairs and table with extension leaf for more space as required. Sink into the sofa as you browse through television, watch a movie or use the stereo...just turn on the power bar beside the tv in the armoire. I have computer speakers to use the tv for better sound, the laptop for radio, music, etc. The balcony/patio: Lots of east sun for morning coffee, breakfast, sunny and warm at lunchtime so grab a bite and a beverage, beer/wine/cocktails mid-day, etc. BBQ Grill also. 78 square feet / 7 metres squared. Lattice privacy walls and decking (nice and warm) with lots of plants. An oasis in the heart of downtown! Two great male felines, Smudge and Pudge, on premise just waiting for your affection - they also love to snuggle in bed and are very social. Smoking outside only. No other pets, please. PARKING There is free parking on one side street directly opposite the house. On our street, free between 10am - midnight so street permit parking is available if there are no 24 hour free spaces on above side street (normally lots of room) a better idea. Parking in the back lot behind the house is available. Parking is in the back lot past the second row of townhouses...make a right into the second lot past the playground and the top right-hand spots 21 or 22 should be fine. Just put a note in windshield that it is superintendent approved. We can discuss. THOUGHTS TO PONDER: It's your experience so decide where your interests lie. Cultural, theatre, shopping, nightclubs, pubs, bars, people watching, nature, cycling, sports? If you need an itinerary, let me know and I can indeed assist. Sample sights to experience: Indoor Public Swimming Pool Just a few minutes walk north is a FREE new public pool with lockers, changerooms, showers, etc. Bring your swimwear. Ice Skating Outdoor ice skating on a public rink at City Hall (Bay and Queen West - 10 mins away). Biking Biking trails in the Don Valley are 2 minutes away and a great way to get some exercise car-free! Many bike lanes in the city on main streets. Cabbagetown has the largest amount of Victorian Houses outside of San Francisco . The 65 Parliament bus will take you there in 7 minutes or a 10 - 15 minute walk. Distillery District is just south on the Parliament line and an exciting attraction set in a former whiskey plant; cobblestone streets, coffee shops, shopping, theatre, etc. Ripley's Aquarium is a new addition to Toronto and costs $30 to visit. It's located near Rogers Centre and the CN Tower. Allow about 2 hours to visit. This is 15 minutes northwest. Just a few subway stops away and a quick bus or streetcar ride or bike..... Liberty Village is 20 - 25 minutes west and an urban village. Lots of shops on King and Queen West. Niagara Falls is 90 minutes by car or two hours on train for $20 each way approx. • Another great stay with Sean! Return guests -- what better way to show how much we enjoy our stays and visiting wit Sean!

    Joe2012-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended for those who like laid back and unfussy. Easy access to public transit. Sean is a model host--generous with his time, helpful, kind, considerate and thoughtful. Oh, and fun too. Room & bed comfortable, clean and quiet. If you're a cat lover, you will instantly fall in love with Smudge, the talking feline. I will definitely revisit Sean's place in future.

  • We stayed here at this awesome apartment from May 20-22nd, and it was a pleasure meeting Sean and his sweet cats. Apartment is clean, organized, and has everything you need. Great environment to be in! If you need any suggestions on places to go to, then Sean is definitely the one to ask because he knows his city! Would totally recommend this place to anybody.

  • Sean was waiting when I arrived and was most welcoming, attentive and tried to anticipate my questions and wishes. The description was accurate. The bed is wonderful and the room was clean and pleasant. The neighbourhood seemed funky and interesting and is wonderfully situated to downtown with a 24 hour service trolley stop a half a block away.

  • Our time at Sean's was everything we hoped for and more. An experienced and relaxed host who made us feel so welcome. Great location for the city. Thoroughly recommended.

  • Sean was extremely accommodating and welcoming. He allowed me to check in early, grab one of the bikes and head out for a tour of the Don Valley Trail system. He was knowledgeable about the best bike routes, taking the bike on the subway and provided a helmet, lights and a lock (allowing me to bike after dark). The room and house were clean - the bed very comfortable. The house was perfectly located for exploring Toronto. Sean was an excellent communicator - responding quickly to my emails.

    Sabine2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing, friendly host. Relaxed atmosphere and Sean is very helpful and just a really nice person to share with. Will be staying here again.

    Catherine2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great, clean place with accurate pictures. Convenient location with transit nearby and groceries right around the corner. The bed is supportive and firm. Check in is super convenient and host was very friendly. One small comment is that the heat is strong and automatic when it’s under 18 degrees outside. We were able to get a draft going with the two open windows and a fan to help counter that. It likely isn’t an issue in the summer or winter but the automatic heat wasn’t the best for a beautiful spring day of 15 degrees. You could also run the AC at the same time if the breeze isn’t enough.

  • In regards to the actual apartment itself, it was a great space that more than comfortably fit everyone in my group (a group of 4), and had a great view. There was a bit of difficulty with actually getting into the building, with a faulty code, but the inconvenience was not too large and Brad, the Owner, was very timely and polite in offering his assistance. Overall a great stay

  • Our stay in this unit was okay. We just ran into a couple inconveniences. The toilet broke before we arrived and had to manually flush for the first night and next morning. PaperBox responded and came and fixed the next morning which was great. The outside door ran out of batteries and we were locked out for part of the evening until people upstairs came to get us. We had to leave the keys in the lockbox because there were 4 of us staying there and were not always together. There was no hot water on the Sunday morning for showers. Overall the location is great, close to everything and quiet, and the stay wasn't terrible! PaperBox responded when we messaged which was great. It just seems the things that happened need to be apart of regular maintenance! 3/5 stars.

    Brett2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great location. Would have been 5/5 however there is loud construction going on in the basement of the building that started at 8am. Likely not an issue if you're staying on the weekend.

  • Great spot! Run like a hostel which was fun to meet the people coming and going. Phenomenal, fully stocked kitchen! Wifi didn't really work in the room though.

  • The room is clean, big, and pleasant, and both the bed and the sofa bed are comfortable. The house is quite pretty and well-located. Keep in mind though that a lot of people stay in this house, and while the hosts are very good about reminding people to be quiet, there's often a little bit of noise in the house.

    Jiali2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is definitely a very bare bones place. There is no one living in it, so it’s lacking many creature comforts of AirBnb’s that have a lived in feel. There is no tv. The apartment doesn’t feel quite finished; there are some exposed pipes. I found it strange that there was a locked (what appeared to be) closet in the listing. Make sure to bring your own wash cloth if you stay here. There were 2 towels provided, along with a bath mat. One of the Windows was surrounded by foil, I think to help insulated but there definitely was still a draft coming in through it. The thermostat was in a locked plastic box, so you could not adjust temperature. In general, it got the job done for my needs while I was in town for business and really just needed somewhere to drop my bags and sleep. The value was good for what I got.

This is a lovely private room with two twin beds, in a beautiful 1890's Victorian townhome that is located in one of the major up and coming neighbourhoods in the city and walking distance to all downtown attractions. We have four guest bedrooms, Which offers a great opportunity to meet and chat with other people from all over the world.
This is a lovely private room with two twin beds. Our home is a beautifully renovated 1890's Victorian town home. We are located downtown on the Lower East Side in one of the major up and coming neighbourhoods in the city and walking distance to all downtown attractions and amenities.
The Lower East Side is a beautiful downtown neighbourhood. You can walk or take short transit rides to the Eaton Centre, The Toronto Convention Centre, The Art Gallery of Ontario, Kensington Market, Chinatown, The Royal Ontario Museum, The Hockey Hall of Fame, The CN Tower, Bata Shoe Museum, Dundas Square, Distillery District, The Toronto Island Ferry, City Hall, The Theatre District, and so much more.
  • Me and my wife had a cozy time for 2 nights in this place. The front street and the area around Moss park might be a bit scary walking at night but it was close enough from downtown Toronto and public transport so I can say here would be a good choice to stay in Toronto!

    Kento2015-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine and Greg are exceptional hosts! Their home is very comfortable and clean, they made me feel like part of the family (although I know they would respect my privacy if I needed it) and the location is very convenient to downtown Toronto. They are located in a neighborhood that is a mix of older and newer renovations. I felt safe and relaxed walking there. I would stay with them again many times over!

  • It was great to stay~

    Andy2015-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Instructions and information about the room and how to get there were very good. The room, with 2 single beds, was quite small for two persons with luggage. It is however no problem to use the rest of the house which is very spacious. And the beds were very comfortable! During our stay one bathroom was being renovated which made it a bit crowed because all guests and the family had to use only one. By now they will have the other bathroom in use again. The location is fine: it is a quiet neighbourhood and the connection to down town Toronto with public transport by streetcar is very easy. During our two day-visit, there were many guests that came and went.

  • A great place to stay for me and my friend attending the Blue Jays game. Quick walk to downtown and we felt very welcome in their house!

  • Elaine & Greg are warm, welcoming and wonderful. Every creature comfort is thought of - even umbrellas at the door for a rainy day. Room is always clean and home is exactly as it appears in photos. Looking forward to booking again. Home is close to the streetcars and grocery stores. Corktown, Lesliville, and downtown Toronto at the Eaton centre is under a 10 minute walk.

  • The apartment was exactly as I expected it: clean, comfortable, and cozy. The Check-in information/ process simple and easy. There is a parking lot right accross the building and its rates are: $18 from 5am till 7pm and $7 from 7pm till 5am (weekdays). So the parking hours are a bit tricky; I recommend using the parking lot till 7pm and then parking the car on the street and paying for 2 hours (6$). Street parkings are free from 9pm till 8am, and you can easily find a spot. Repeat the process the next day. I only have two recommendations for the host: find out where is the hair dryer (because I couldn't find it though I searched the whole apartment) and provide more blankets. Thanks for hosting my friend and I, David!

    Imad2016-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about David's place was perfect! The location was amazing, the apartment was perfectly clean and beautiful! I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to friends! Communication with David was perfect! Someone always got back to me when I had a question and check it was super easy! I would stay at David's again in a heart beat!

  • The first thing that drew me to his location was the price of course. Then the photos of the place drew my eye further. Though this is the only reason this isn't a five star review. Now I used this space as a photography spot rather than a "hotel" use and the photos made the venue seem far larger than it actually was. The power of photography lol. But other than that I was pleased with everything.

    Nykalaus2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was well placed and had all the basic requirements we were looking for as a base to explore the city of Toronto. Some of the fit and finish feels temporary, so not a luxurious stay, but that was ideal for what we needed. The shower was good and facilities were clean. Check in was easy. The problem arose when we looked to turn the air con off overnight. The controls were locked in a plastic box and the only way to change the settings was to contact the host. It was noisy and I can't sleep with air con on without it drying out my nose and waking up feeling terrible. The host is a 3rd party agency so they weren't aware of the situation meaning they were having to get in touch with the landlord and I think that message ended up being lost in translation. Rather than turning the air con off for us, they set it to 23.5 degrees, so to add to the noise, it was now very hot. I sent a couple more messages, but it seemed everyone had gone to bed. After a night of barely any sleep and an aggravated head cold, I woke up in the morning and sent a message to request a temperature of 21 degrees during the day and all off at night or we would have to move out. Unfortunately when we returned that evening the room was still at 23.5 degrees. We booked another hotel and moved out immediately. It was inconvenient to have to contact the host to change the air con, but if requests were followed it wouldn't have been the end of the world, but the whole communication was terrible right through to the very end. Initially we were told there would be no refund, we then spoke to airbnb who resolved the situation for us. In short, if you could just control the air con it would have been a great place for what we needed, but poor hosting ruined the place for us and ended up costing a nights sleep and money for a new place.

My place is located in the heart of TO downtown. In a unique place logistically speaking. It only takes 3-5 min (on the bus) to get to nearest subway st. My place is close to Greek Town, Cabbage town, Gay Village. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business traveller. Thera are plenty of affordable take out places&restaurants and a grocery store Food Basic in front of the building. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the people. Powerful Fan.

  • Maxes place was as advertiesed, quiet, hassle free and at a good location. The kitchen could be a bit cleaner and a bit better stacked. Cooking is not alowed which is ok (loads of food places around) but there where no bowls for cereal or glases for a simple breakfast.

  • The stay at Max's was great. The place was perfect: great location, perfectly clean. Check-in and check-out were nicely handled. The room is as described, bed is confortable and the room is big enough. The only thing that I was missing was a bit of conversation.

    Céline2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Max's place was very clean and in a good location. Max was helpful and communicated clearly. There is a bus stop right outside but I didn't use it, instead we used the subway. The Castle Frank station is about an eight minute walk away and I highly recommend using it to get into downtown and the museums. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance in cabbagetown. If you need to park your car somewhere like I did, there are a couple of Green P lots nearby where you can pay to park overnight.

Bright and airy garden level studio near Roncesvalles, High Park, Parkdale, West Queen West, the lakeshore and its bike paths, and across from St Joseph's Hospital. Your perfect home base for experiencing the city's hidden gems like a local. Right in the center of two of Toronto's most eclectic neighbourhoods, you'll be walking distance to some of the most unique and highly rated restaurants, cafes and shopping in the city. Public transit is at the corner, 15 mins from tourist hotspots.
The apartment is a nanny suite on the basement level of our home. It has all the amenities you need for a cozy stay - a queen sized bed, full bathroom with shower stall, and a mini kitchen with small fridge, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and kettle (no stove or oven). Suites at the Howard Johnson on the corner rent for $150/night. This is a steal of a deal for the location!
  • These hosts are fantastic and I'd stay at any of their locations! The only thing with this space is that it's a basement so the ceilings are very low. I'm short so it didn't matter, but my guest was pretty tall and the shower only came up to her chest. It's also a basement so if you're loud or mind people walking above you, it might not be the place for you. However, if you're flexible and laid back. It was perfect. And next to High Park which was really nice to run in.

  • Michael and Carole's place is located a little ways outside the Toronto CBD, however is very accessible by public transport to get to all the sights you need to see in Toronto. Michael provides fantastic local tips of what to see and do and where to eat if you're not sure (strongly recommend going a little bit fancy at The Ace - the peanut butter icebox pie is divine). The space itself is quite small, as a solo traveller I recommend it, however if you are over 5'5" or so you might knock your head on the low ceiling! It's a very trendy space and cozy - warm in the fall when I stayed. Although it is a basement apartment, to me it felt basically soundproof, I didn't hear anything except a creak in the floor here and there from upstairs and there's no traffic sounds! The hospital is right across the street, so you do hear some ambulances coming and going, but it seems intermittent and isn't an issue. You're just two blocks away from trendy Roncesvalles Avenue, lined with plenty of fantastic places to eat - Ed's Scoops is great for dessert! The only thing to note is the apartment only has a mini kitchen. It does not have stove or an oven. There is a fridge, a kettle,

  • The space of the room in the photo shows quite bigger that reality, the floors are not as shown in the photo, it’s old and scratched out, to get from the entrance to the apartment there is a very narrow and hard to climb staircases.

  • I love the setup of this place as it gives you a feeling of home away from your actual home. I would definitely suggest booking this loft over their other postings as its more cozier, as I personally booked an Airbnb with them last year and it was freezing upstairs. The place supplies you with the basic necessities that are required for everyday living. The host was a great communicator and was able to answer all questions immediately. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely book this place again.

  • Only thing I can think of for a change would be to add a small tv for nightly entertainment and blinds at the front due to a lot of foot traffic out front being able to see inside. Other than that the home was a great place to spend the night.

  • Studio Urban was pretty good. We had to check-in earlier while there was a person cleaning, but that was fine by us. My first impression of the place was clean and well layed out. Bathroom was clean, too. Just FYI, it is a low ceiling apartment. Couple of suggestions would be to give hangers for guests, little coat rack for the door area, and towel/clothes hangers in the bathroom. There were 6 people staying over but no where to put our belongings, so it got messy really fast. Wifi was available but couldn't use it at all because it was so week. Linens and smelled and felt clean, but we found a lot of permanent stains on them. But overall, seamless check-in.

The one bedroom queen size bed is very clean and family oriented. The Home is located just off of the main street giving it much privacy and quiet. There are Cafes, Bakery and family run Restaurants in the neighbourhood. You also have convenient stores and Malls around the area. We also have transit near by and Dovercourt Park is located across the street from the home. The room can have a double occupancy but at an extra cost of $20 a night.
The space is a very good size lots of windows and very cozy. Please no eating in room we have a beautiful table in the kitchen your more than welcome to eat there.Keeps the place nice and tidy.
  • Marta is a super friendly host who really cares about your staying experience. She loves sharing her thoughts and experiences and makes food/tea for you. Marta takes very good care of her house and it is the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever been to. The place is fairly accessible with bus stops just a few mins away. There are buses that bring you to the subway station in 5 mins. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and will come back for sure if I’m visiting Toronto again.

  • Marta and Lou are incredible hosts. They made me feel at home during my stay in Toronto, helping me out with local tips and advice. Marta cooks an amazing breakfast and the house is stylish and clean. They are also very funny and genuine. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

  • Marta & Lou are some of the best people I have ever met. My boyfriend and I stayed with them for a few days and they welcomed us with their whole heart. They are both so easy to talk to and so relatable. They made our trip so much better and their Airbnb is so much lovelier than I expected from pictures. Marta pays attention to every detail; she had everything set up for us ahead of time and had brochures for us that really came in handy! She is all about providing a relaxing stay for us and she is incredible. The room was SO clean and cozy! They have a beautiful home and I loved being there. The both of them felt like family and we spoke for hours as if we knew each other for years. I could not have imagined visiting Toronto without them and I will certainly stay with them again when we revisit Toronto.

  • This airbnb will be the best one you will ever find. The house is very well located and the room is so beautiful! I loved the bed and the oppurtunity to have my own bathroom. Besides, Marta and Lou are probably the best hosts ever. This will be a second home for you! It is a very clean place and Marta will do anything for you to feel good. For instance, she cooks so good and is always ready to share everything with her guests. There are no words needed anymore! Thank you so much for having me!

  • A little difficult to understand at the arriving (1h in front of the door without nobody which open the door) but finally very good adress with nice people

  • It was a really nice stay at Peggy's house. The room included everything I needed and was neat. I really appreciated the conversations I had with her and the huge of recommendations she gave me to explore Toronto. She and her mother are kind and respectful, which makes it much more homy even for a short stay. The location of the house is close to the subway as well as to the bus stations. Thus it is easy to go around and in addition to that really quite. I enjoyed it al lot and can recommend it to anyone!

  • Peggy was a super friendly and helpful host. She gave me a real local experience and was very welcoming. The house is in a fantastic location and good value for money.

  • What a fantastic location. Bloor St. is right behind you, so there are tons of good restaurants nearby. Ossington and College street are a short, pleasant walk away. There are many great bars and restaurants within walking distance that way. Tons of stuff to do! The house itself is simple, but has everything you need (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom) and everything is kept very clean :) Peggy is a great host and will be available to message you back at any time. We had a good stay here :)

  • Staying at Peggy's was better than expected, clean, safe and comfortable. Felt like home :) The location is very convenient in the city, also nearby are many amenities (pharmacy, cafes, inexpensive restos, library, subway station, etc). For me, this was a great place to stay in my budget. Thanks!

  • Peggy and her mom are kind and very polite. The place is very nice and well located, near the subway, grocery stores and lots of places. The room is good for two persons, not three.
