Places to stay in Texas
Book a couple of nights with us and experience glamping in the Texas hill country! With a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, basic kitchen, queen bed, wifi, TV, small library of western movies, and 10 beautiful creekside acres, this trailer is a hit no matter what the season or the weather. Our retro Airstream has been featured in many Texas travel lists and magazine articles (Southern Living, Apt Therapy, Dallas Morning News, The Sun (UK), Outside Magazine and more). Come stay a spell...
Do you ever daydream about jumping in a travel trailer and heading west? Are you enamored with the vintage style of a bygone era? Do you enjoy camping, but secretly wish you had a real bed, wifi and a bathroom? If so, the Dixie Daisy is for you! This cute Airstream trailer has been completely renovated with a retro twist. It’s the perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, yet equipped with the conveniences of home. Grill up a yummy dinner with your honey and dine al fresco on the large deck, take a morning stroll along the creek, turn on the string lights for some mood lighting, take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy your morning shower under the trees in the private, spacious outdoor shower (room for two!), and end your day relaxing by the fire with an ice cold beer. This is the life! The Dixie Daisy provides all the comforts of home in one cute, cozy package. The antique iron bedframe holds a queen mattress, the bathroom has a small interior shower and a real toilet, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils, and alongside the deck is a charcoal grill and fire bowl for your night-time fire. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs in the fridge (as long as the chickens keep up) and local organic coffee. They also strive to make this property as green as possible by using environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent, providing recycled paper products and full recycling, using low-wattage light bulbs, and more. This cozy retreat is nestled in an elm grove along the banks of Smith Creek on 10 beautiful acres shared with the owners. You’ll really feel like you’ve escaped to nature, yet the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley are only 3 miles down the road. It’s the best of both worlds! So, what are you waiting for? The Dixie Daisy is the unique getaway you’ve been dreaming of. We are confident that it will exceed your expectations! Pet policy: Pets are allowed for a fee of $50 per pet, and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended that they be crated and that they remain on leash when wandering the property if they might be inclined to chase a child, cat, or chicken or wander off. Thanks for understanding! Single night bookings: We have a two night minimum, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are happy to accept a single night booking for an additional $25. Just shoot us a message with your date and we'll go from there.
Wimberley is a lovely little town full of unique shops, swimming holes, and friendly folks. We think you'll love your visit here!
  • Can’t say enough about this little place. The outdoor area is amazing and so relaxing. Everything you need. The bed is super comfortable one of the best Airbnb we’ve slept in. Close to town. Very private. Loved the property and fresh eggs.

  • This was our second time staying here and we will be coming back again and again! Amazing amenities and hospitality. The property is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place to disconnect from the day to day and reconnect with your loved one.

  • We had such a great time staying at Jennifer and Gregory’s! Such a fun and unique experience that we would recommend to anyone!

    Vanessa2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with thoughtful touches and in a great location. Peaceful property close to Wimberley.

    Andrea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We can't say enough fabulous things about the Dixie Daisy- our only complaint is that we should have booked at least another night, if not two. The setting was idyllic and felt super secluded despite being so close to everything. From the little touches like farm fresh eggs from their "egg-centric" hens, to the gorgeous jewel of a hot tub, - we just couldn't get enough! We got to see a little snow, too (from the shelter of our heated bed). We will definitley be returning!

    Anna2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, loved everything about it!

    Edgar2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place has a very quaint atmosphere and the quite surrounding helps you to unwind and the hot tub was a plus.

    Mercedes2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The little Airstream trailer takes you back to a more simpler time. The decor is so cute. The details of everything were great and definitely a unique experience!

  • Donna's place was wonderful! Really one of the most well-appointed places we've stayed. So many thoughtful details, and notes around the place. The bed was excellent! It was also very quiet and dark at night (great for sleeping!), but your path in and out is very well lit! SO many little extras, I think if there were something someone may have forgotten, Donna had it covered! The area of town is very beautiful, and was very close to the entertainment we came to Houston for.

    Laura2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We travel frequently to Houston and this is our new favorite place. It is in a great location, stylishly furnished, spacious and sparkling. Donna is a great communicator and super host. We hope to find Donna's place available again for future trips!

    Jennifer2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely experience at Donna’s place. Very beautiful and comfortable space. Super cozy, clean and convenient. USB ports on the nightstand for easy charging, an assortment of toiletries. Sound machine for sleepy time. Ceiling fan to stay cool. Personal temperature control. Nice bathtub. Very good stay!

Porch Light Hospitality presents, The Pumphouse. Built in 1933, the original pump house was a windmill fed water storage tank for the main house and a working farm. Tastefully remodeled in 2013, the Pumphouse takes you back as you enter through the original "Basse" rock tank house. The industrial feel of galvanized pipes and cement floors are carefully balanced with a cozy living room and plush king size bed. The bathroom boasts a jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. The relaxing feel flows to the private outdoor courtyard with private hot tub, outdoor shower, television. You will make memories here that are unforgettable. Book today.
The pump house is an old water tank that was converted to a guest house. We tried to keep the industrial elements but add the soft touches to make it interesting but super comfy.
We are about one mile to Main Street. There are local taxis and Uber if you prefer not to drive.
  • Super cool place. Very clean and modern. Nice touches throughout. Great bed and bathroom. Highly recommend.

    Bryan2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The pump house was a great place to spend our anniversary weekend. The amenities are great especially the outdoor hot tub. The hammock is best to lay in the morning while the birds are chirping. We love the location because it’s away from all the traffic but still convenient to everything. You will not be disappointed.

    Antonio2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a quiet retreat for two. Love the hot tub, fire pit and view of the stary night sky.

    Kayleigh2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place!! We had such a great time.

    Taylor2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip to the Pump House was lovely! We loved all the small touches that made staying there a good experience. They provided local fresh ground coffee with cream and sugar/sweeteners, a list of local points of interest, an umbrella (which was nice because it rained the whole time), basic toiletries, a fire pit starter log, a couple of bottles of water, and a welcome letter. We felt so comfortable in the space because it had a small seating area and large king bed with plenty of pillows and blankets to be snuggled up by the gas fire place in the bedroom. The hot tub was perfect for 2 (though a few of the jets were not functioning). The property manager said they would address that maintenance need for future guests. We loved the shower in the bathroom, and the overall rustic decor of the facility. Street parking was abundant and the area was very quiet. For the two of us, it was a perfect amount of space. The only thing I didn't notice in the pictures prior to the visit was that there is not really a space to hang up clothing aside from a few hooks on the wall in the bedroom and in the bathroom. There isn't a closet with hangers if that is something that you feel like you need. This would not deter us from going back again. I should also note that we had to change our dates due to a scheduling conflict and the owners worked with us to make that adjustment easily, and with quick, professional communication. We can't wait to return to the property again in the fall!

    Stacey2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing! My wife and I highly recommend staying here. It was the perfect getaway for us.

Come to stay in our charming backyard tiny house! It comes equipped with a queen size bed, tv, dining/work station, coffee machine & mini fridge. The bathroom has a sink, shower, self contained eco-friendly toilet and bath supplies including a hair dryer. Our location is very centralized so you can get anywhere in Austin easily. It's only a 12 minute drive to downtown (25 minutes in rush hour)! Why stay in a boring hotel when you can have your own private house for a fraction of the price?
This tiny house is perfect for a short getaway for one or two people.
We're located on a small street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Within walking distance- Some great Asian and Mexican restaurants as well as a Target and bus station. There are tons of restaurants near by- Ramen Tatsu-ya, Stiles Switch BBQ, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Baby Greens, Hanabi Sushi, Tam Deli & Cafe, Royal Jelly, El Nuevo Mexico, Chago's, Pint House Pizza, Torchies- the list goes on and on. Other attractions close by include Capitol City Comedy Club, Top Golf, Alamo Drafthouse, Pinballz old school arcade, Ikea and the Domain restaurants & shopping.

My cabin is a hidden gem in Urbandale, a neighborhood only 15 minutes from downtown that's filled with unique architecture, old trees, and multicultural flavor. Crafted from pine felled and hand-planed in Boone, NC, the cabin has a wonderful smell and unique aesthetic. It's like a woodcutter's home deep in the woods, yet sits safely in my verdant backyard. Covered parking is removed from the road and secure. Already booked or need more space? Check out my Airstream!
This microhouse is one-of-a-kind, crafted by a true artisan. Its decor was collected over years of careful selection. Strong A/C and heat emit from the same window unit. The definition of cozy! One of the best glamping spots in Texas, according to TravelPirates, one of the coolest Airbnbs in Dallas, according to the Dallas Observer, and the most wish-listed Airbnb in Dallas according to Dallas Business Journal.
White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum, The Great Trinity Forest, Trinity Audubon Center, and Oak Cliff are also nearby.
  • What a wonderful space. The handcrafted cabin constructed from reclaimed materials gives the space a comfortable rustic charm. The shower was the best. Definitely recommend this space. It's just far enough from downtown that you don't feel like your in the city.... yet downtown is an easy $12 uber ride away.

    Matt2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed just a night for my husband's birthday, and we'll definitely come back again!!! It's like a beautiful cabin I've been dreaming. My dog was so happy to stay too. Thank you Grady for being very nice to us.

  • Great hospitality, feels like a country side get away in the heart of Dallas.

    Jake2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little cabin. Perfect for a weekend get away!

    Jasmine2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was exactly as pictured and we had a lovely time. Grady has a beautiful property and it was a unique experience. Grady has thought of everything in there and this stay was one of our favourite ever.

    Ted2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay. The cabin was cozy and comfortable in a beautiful setting. We liked that it was a short drive to catch our flight at Dallas/Love Field airport.

    Kristin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • It is a quiet get away right in the middle of the big city. Technically the Cabin is in the guys backyard but it's soo spacious you don't really notice it too much. The cabin feels very authentic, like something right out of the 1800's, with some modern touches.

    Clinton2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we live on a HUGE lot so close to the city center. It's like having a piece of the country in town.
  • Clean and quaint. Must stay place.

  • I loved the unique experience of staying in an old airstream! From the time we arrived little Reggie the cat was more than happy to escort us to our front door which was so cute! Loved the little mini neighborhood feel of the backyard - a little mercantile shop for treats during your stay, all of the other animals on site, and the strings of lights which guided your way home if you were coming home late from dinner or in town after sunset. Would highly recommend staying and would love to get the chance to meet Marcella next time. Her story and little family album in the AirBnB were the perfect touch.

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such an idyllic space!! Absolutely magical. Wish we had more time to spend here but thoroughly enjoyed our short visit!

    Phillip & Annie2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute airstream, perfect size and great for animal lovers. Loved hanging out with the cat Reggie and seeing the other farm animals. Marcy is so nice and a great hostess!

    Erin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A truly wonderful little sanctuary. The animals were all fantastic! Marcella did an excellent job creating a space I could escape to. Highly recommend!

If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk, - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam). If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece - La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town). - Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food - Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House.
The guesthouse is in the gentrifying East Side neighborhood. It's a wonderful, artsy, quirky place in the heart of the East Side entertainment district. There are countless restauraunts, food trucks, bars, and even four breweries within walking distance. Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trail are just a couple blocks away. The Convention Center is minutes away and all of downtown is easily accessible by e-scooter, e-bike, and rideshare. We are just 10 minutes from the airport.
  • Great, accommodating hosts. Check-in and out was a breeze and the home is in a convenient location within walking distance or quick car rides to all over Austin. If in the area, would highly recommend staying here.

  • The Tiny House is very cozy & trendy. The bed was sooo comfortable making it hard to start my days :) Anna & Chad were very thoughtful and communicated well & quickly. It was easy to get in and out of the Tiny House. My fur babies also enjoyed staying there. Will definitely stay there again.

    Mónica2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little place. Hosts are wonderful, and they give you tons of privacy. As a private person, I really appreciated this. If you reach out, they respond quickly and can accommodate your needs. Cute little area in East Austin away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet and heard birds chirping in the mornings. Peaceful place to get away.

    Kimberly2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Anna And Chad were great hosts. No issues communicating with them

    Tim2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house in the heart of Austin with all the amenities. The hosts go above and beyond by providing snacks, toiletries, and easily accessible instructions throughout the house. Highly recommended.

  • Cute little house, great for us and our baby, the hosts even provide us a travel crib for her.

    Bonnie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little place and Anna and Chad made the tiny home feel very cozy and put together ! Toiletries, towels, and snacks were provided which was super convenient! It rained while we were there and an umbrella was provided too, thank goodness because we forgot ours! Anna and Chad were readily available but gave us our privacy as well! The location was great and in a safe neighborhood as well! Definitely would stay here again :) Thank you Anna and Chad !

    Chelsea2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I am so happy to have found this jewel of a place to stay when I need it. The overall feeling was one of comfort, simplicity, cool character, and thoughtfulness - can't think of one thing that I needed - they thought of it all. Very private yet homey, especially since you can hear the 2 chickens for a few minutes in the mornings - I loved that. I met Chad and his 2 children and dogs, and had a great conversation about Air BnB. Everything was spotless, and instructions were clear. I look forward to returning!

Central East Austin is a diverse, eclectic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood!
  • This was my second stay at Julie and Pete’s place. It is immaculate; the beds are super comfortable, the bathroom is lovely and all the soap products are made with lavender! It is in a nice neighborhood and just a walk away from Lady Bird Lake. The hosts are incredibly responsive and attentive. I will plan my next trip to Austin around the availability of this sweet little home away from home. Thank you, Julie and Pete!

A remote, off-grid adobe dome, powered by solar power, and near Big Bend National Park.
UPDATE: Last minute availability from March 27th through 29th and April 1st through April 4th due to cancelations from COVID-19 travel restrictions. The Dome remains available as a refuge during these strange times, through we do recommend travelers to bring their own groceries to cook in, as we don't know what will be open and what won't. The hiking trails in Big Bend are open, but the facilities in the park are limited. Please practice the recommended social distancing measures to protect yourselves and our community. Thanks to HGTV for taking an interest and for featuring the Dome on "Mighty Tiny Houses". I've had the fortune of hosting many incredible guests from around the world who have met the challenge of off grid living in the desert of Far West Texas, whether it be for one night, a week, or a month. Though the dome does offer one night rentals, I do urge you to stay at least 2 nights to really settle into off-grid life. It also makes the cleaning fee more justifiable to you. The dome makes a good base for daily trips to different sites, towns, and hikes around the Big Bend Region. Also, I'd like to mention, if it is not already implied, that as a host I subscribe to Airbnb's Community Commitment and nondiscrimination policy which states... " We believe that no matter who you are, where you are from, or where you travel, you should be able to belong in the Airbnb community. By joining this community, you commit to treat all fellow members of this community, regardless of race, religion, national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age, with respect, and without judgment or bias." And now back to our regular scheduled program... The Off Grid Dome shelter is accepting rental guests to share the off-grid experience, and to also help fund this project and future projects . The dome is a very remote and unique space in the desert near Big Bend National Park. The dome rests in an isolated but easily accessible off-grid setting in one of the few remaining territories under a dark sky ordinance, which offers unmatched views of the night sky, and a completely unobstructed view of a horizon that delivers truly majestic sunrises and sunsets. Though the dome is isolated, the entrance to Big Bend National Park is just a 25 minute drive and the historic Terlingua Ghost town about the same. The dome is an earthen structure, with a cob (adobe) barrier to provide shelter from the desert elements such as heat, cold, winds, and rain. The small but functional dome kitchen provides a two burner propane stove and oven, as well as a refrigerator that is powered by solar power. In fact, all power to the dome comes directly from a modest solar energy system and will power phones, laptops, and lights, but not much more (no hair dryers for instance). The kitchen sink pumps water from a small rain collection cistern and thus I ask guests to be very strategic with water use. Guests are recommended to bring one's own drinking water, although backup bottled water is provided onsite as a backup at cost. The Dome bed sleeps two comfortably. Linens, pillows, and a blanket (and a duvet in colder months are provided for the main bed. The pallet couch does sleep a third person quite comfortably, but guests must bring their own linens or sleeping bag (and pillow) for a third guest. In hotter months, a fan is provided, and the nature of the thick adobe provides a buffer against the Summer temps (with limitations). The wrap around windows provides a good cross breeze and fresh air when needed. In cooler months, a small propane heater is provided for a little extra boost, as well as clean linens and a duvet cover. The dome and linens will not be cleaned during your stay. There is no flush toilet, and so you must be comfortable using a composting toilet that is in a separate, and private outhouse next to the dome. There is no shower on site, but I can give you recommendations for $2 coin showers in town. Or you can try an outdoor solar bag shower on the property. There is wifi on site. The property is very accessible by road, with only the last mile being on a gravel road in good condition. Read house rules to learn about amenities. SUMMERTIME DISCLAIMER (June through September): The Summer can get hot here in the desert and while the adobe dome gives a good buffer against the outside elements, there is no AC in the dome, just a fan. There are also perimeter windows to entice a night breeze. Also, bugs and other desert creatures tend to culminate in the Summer months. Don’t be surprised if you encounter a scorpion or black widow spider and don’t be frightened either as they are relatively harmless and non-threatening. I do have the dome on a somewhat forgiving 5 night out cancelation policy during off-peak periods and so if the 10 day forecast looks too scary for you, you can cancel without penalty. Many say that Summer is their favorite time of the year out here. But it all depends on one's heat tolerance. Looking forward to hearing from you and even more so, to hosting you out here in the magnificence of the Big Bend. Guest Access A private earth-built dome, parking, wifi, a kitchen, kitchen supplies, and a composting toilet. Looking forward to hearing from you and even more so, to hosting you out here in the magnificence of the Big Bend.
The only amenities that the dome is in walking distance to are the natural features of the Chihuahuan desert, spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and one of the best locations in the world to see the unobstructed night sky. A large grocery store called "The Cottonwood" with everything from organics to vices is in Study Butte and is about 20 minutes away by car. They are open until 9 PM. The entrance to the National Park is about 25 minutes away, and the Chisos Mountains in the National Park takes about an hour. There are some great trails up there. If you like hot springs, there is a great one near Rio Grande Village in the National Park. It is a good way to rest the muscles after a good day hike. Give yourself an hour and a half to get back to the dome from the hot springs. Terlingua Ghost Town has a great restaurant called the Starlight Theatre. There is music there almost every night. The closest restaurant to the dome is called Tivos. It has great authentic Mexican food and I think is only open Thursday through Saturday nights. Service can take awhile because they make everything from scratch. You are welcome to try an outdoor solar shower at the dome, but your best bet are the showers up at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge (13 miles up the road from the dome), or the $2 coin showers in Study Butte at the Big Bend Motor Inn. The $2 showers are on your way to and from the National Park and there are multiple showers. The Terlingua Ranch Lodge has a great swimming pool that costs $5 per car, which includes a bath house with showers as well. Bring your own towel.
  • Loved our stay here! Will definitely check it out again sometime.

    Allie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great experience for our family. Unique , cozy, serene, and the night sky was breathtaking. We would love to come back some day.

  • Loved the experience !

    Nancy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Trevor’s place was great. Stunning views outside and relaxing and romantic inside. I would love to go back!

    Drew2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Trevor’s Dome is phenomenal! I’ve never felt so at home in a place that by most accounts should feel like the wilderness. It was an awe inspiring experience that will linger in my memories for a lifetime. The beauty out there can only be understood first hand. There are no words... Just go! The Domes living conditions are ample, you have everything that you need to be safe and take care of yourself minus food (obviously) so bring food. The Dome’s location is perfect not to far from the park, but just far enough from civilization for that true off-grid experience. The only thing you need to prepare yourself for is the toilet and shower situation but as long as you don’t mind driving there are places to shower within 15 minutes of the dome, and they’re not hard to find, but I actually enjoyed the feeling of air drying after a cold bag shower in the desert! If you have a little dog fight in you, and you can handle it, it’s actually super refreshing when you dry! (even though I couldn’t feel my feet afterwards haha.) Ultimately what it comes down to is The Dome is an incredible experience for anyone willing to put them selves out there a little bit, and it’s not by much, I promise, you get back so much more than you give out there.. It changes you for the better. This trip will re-balance your soul, and bring you back to center. It is the ultimate peace. So don’t think too much about it, just do it, it’s worth so it.

    Justin2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The room was immaculate, the directions to get there were perfect, the personal touch of communication was great as well. We had a seamless experience at the dome and cannot recommend it enough. The sky was beautiful, the room was warm in the colder month we attended in, the amenities were all very useful and it really felt like every need was accounted for! Just make sure if you're reading this and it sells you on going to respect the property and the environment you'll be visiting! It's too beautiful not to!

    Dakota2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute unique little get away. Easy for my small small to get to on the off road. Not hard to find either. Dirt roads were safe for my tires. Go back the same way you came from when going to park. Google maps will take you about 1.5 m rougher way to the park. Saw Trevor's note about it later lol. The dome was warm and cozy with the heater. Cooked food that I brought. Just kept my cold items in an ice chest as the fridge is not as cold bc it is solar powered. I had an awesome stay! Felt safe and excluded, didnt see any snakes or spiders, didnt hear coyotes. Just a few months, nothing I cant handle (: would recommend to others.

    Justine2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Dome was truly an experience! We unfortunately didn’t get to spend too much time in the dome aside from sleeping, but it was wonderful when we were there! The view of the night sky will leave you in awe, while the coziness inside will make you want to stay forever. Will be back!

  • I’m not one for words, especially when I’m left speechless, thanks to an amazing experience such as the one we had staying here. We got in a little later than expected. Check in was smooth and easy. The first thing we noticed - the home was immaculate. Then we see a cute little personal note, INSTANTLY making us feel at home (as a matter of fact, everyday we were out and about, when we we’re done with our day, we’d catch each other saying “Lets go home”). We felt comfortable in no time. Again, everything in the home was immaculate. Fresh linens. Fresh towels. Clean kitchen. Spotless bathroom. The whole nine yards. Extremely comfortable. The place was clean, cozy, intimate, private, and perfect. We loved a it and can’t wait to be back. With just a short little drive to all the Magnolia attractions and other cool little spots, this is the place to stay to make the experience that much better. Whoever stays here WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Guys, thank you. Til next time :-)

“Perfect for social distancing!” - a recent HoneyTree guest. The Sycamore is a treehouse-inspired luxury getaway overlooking the Palo Alto creek. It is the ideal place for your visit to the Texas Hill Country. Only three feet off the ground on one side makes the treehouse very accessible, but steep creek bank gives the impression of perching high in the branches. The treehouses at HoneyTree Farm are secluded and quiet, but conveniently located only 8 minutes from Main Street Fredericksburg.
Perched on a bluff with a beautiful view of nature, and only 8 minutes from Main Street, the Sycamore cabin is tucked among sturdy live oaks, native pecans and wild willow trees. From the deck guests have a clear view of the sycamores lining the banks of the gurgling Palo Alto creek. Huge windows let in lots of light and natural beauty - and the lofted bedroom has spectacular views. The HoneyTree bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and full size soak tub, the kitchen is well-appointed with cooktop, apt size fridge and freezer, microwave and Keurig, cookware, etc. Babies and small children are welcome! Please let us know if you require sheets for the couch or would like to use our twin padded Coleman cot. Bring your own Pack-n-Play :) Please contact us with any special requests and will be happy to accommodate whenever possible.
About two miles north of Fredericksburg city limit, our beautiful slice of Texas awaits your visit.
  • Beautiful cabin in the woods near Fredericksburg. My husband and I stayed for two amazing nights. It’s in a great location - 10mins drive from town (for restaurants, supermarket etc) but so secluded and quiet. It’s been beautifully designed and appointed - so many thoughtful touches and we had everything we needed for a two night stay. Cabin was warm, bed comfortable and everything you need in bathroom and kitchen. The sunrise was lovely and we enjoyed the local wildlife - particularly the deer. We’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s now around the world and we both agreed this is one of our favourites - just very unusual, a traditional setting but with a modern design and thoughtful touches. Jacob - thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

    Donna2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse is so cozy and quiet and has amazing views from both inside the house and outside on the deck! We really enjoyed the short nature walk around the property each morning. Me and my husband truly enjoyed our weekend here and would definitely book again!

  • Gorgeous place! Super clean! A wonderful experience!

    Michael2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time during our stay here! The cabin is a quick drive into town, but you still feel secluded! We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine at sunset on the gorgeous patio. The house was also incredibly comfortable while still maintaining the authentic feeling of staying in the Hill country. Jacob was friendly and responded quickly to our questions. I can say it's one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at. Highly, highly recommend! Would love to come back!

    Chance2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jacob's place is beautifully designed and finished, with lots of really nice touches and details throughout. It was the perfect base from which to explore Fredericksburg and the surrounding area, and a lovely space to just relax in. Jacob was a perfect host and gave us lots of great recommendations for places to visit, eat, and drink; we had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Fredericksburg.

    Marc2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jacob's place was amazing and the craftsmanship was superb. It's only a short hop to town yet has cozy, secluded feel. We loved seeing deer in the morning from bed. We're already telling our friends about the place.

  • The Helm was a perfect stay for our group of 4. We were visiting Waco and found this place to be close and affordable. The place was nicely appointed and the design was well thought out. We were very comfortable here. Although it’s a container home, it has plenty of large windows and didn’t seem at all “tiny.” It had more than enough room, and the decor was modern farmhouse. It was located with other tiny homes in a cute little park setting. It felt safe and quaint. Everything we needed was provided. We would definitely recommend staying here. It was lovely.

    Kris2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Helm was seriously the perfect addition to our girls trip. Four of us stayed comfortably and the other three ladies were just as excited/pleased with this 2 story tiny container home as I was! We thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd story patio and the beds were very comfortable. The location was convenient to all things Waco and the hosts were great with communication. Check in/out was extremely easy! Stop debating and book this place now! You won’t regret it!

    Jamie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking. Super cool, unique and well-thought out container home. It is a beautiful place with everything you need for a great stay.

    Kyle2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! Clayton was very accommodating when we had a small issue. The Helm is beautiful, decor, cleanliness, comfortable, all amenities where met. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back!

    Michelle2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is very nice and cute. Our family really enjoy our stay. Will stay here again if we visit Waco next time. :)

  • We can’t wait to go back! We loved our first tiny home stay and it might be the best way to vacation. There are several houses on the property and I’d be happy staying in any of them. Great hosts and lovely home. Wish it was closer to town but the privacy and open area was relaxing. We sat on the deck and looked at the stars. Definitely recommend. :-)

    Amy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! The hosts were super friendly and made sure you had everything you needed. Check in/out was super simple, and the location was great. The decor was beyond cute and even better the beds were very comfortable. Such a unique place - highly recommend!

  • This house was so cute! It is about 8 miles from downtown (a quick easy drive). It had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 4 people. Loved the detail given to understand the heat and TV. It was a cold evening and we were able to get things in order very quickly after a long day. The Helm was beautifully decorated as well!

Cozy backyard cabin with a minimal kitchen, maximum cool. There is one queen size bed in the loft , a fold out couch in the living room. And a cot in the shed. The yard is fenced off from the main house with its own entry gate on the side street. Small animals ok, no attack dogs, under 20 pounds.
At the entrance there is a good size deck with a table and two chairs and a chaise lounge. The great room is the main living space. The bathroom with a no curb shower is at the back off the living room. The mini kitchen is to the right of the living room. There is a small step down, so watch your step. The loft stairs are a bit steep , just to the right at entry . Tall people watch your head as you enter the loft.
Quickie Pickie is the de facto meetup spot. Great mochas! The Ironworks BBQ is a good substitute while Franklins BBQ while it is getting rebuilt. Justine’s is great food, as is Magnolia.
  • great place to stay!!

    Lizette2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy walk to downtown or anywhere on the east side. Free parking, nice and clean, and bikes available to use. I recommend Jake's place.

    Mike2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really appreciate the kind and quick help when I had questions. The thoughtful touches - my favorite Yogi tea, simple breakfast items (cereal, milk, good coffee) were great additions. I really appreciate having a hair dryer and toiletries available. French press for coffee? Bonus points for the host!! I love the neighborhood and eclectic, diverse, artsy experience. I loved the easy access to information about local places to visit in the neighborhood. Directions were simple. Place is sparkling clean and the bed is super-comfy. Five stars for Jake, Janice and other hosts here. Highly recommend.

    Gwen2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and so clean. Be careful with the ceiling!

    Jackie2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. My wife and i stayed here while exploring Austin for a few days and so glad we did. The house itself has anything you’d need to make your stay comfortable with plenty of outside space for lounging. The location is really ideal, with some of the East sides best restaurants, bars, and shops a short walk. We will def be staying here next time we’re in town

    Gregory2020-02-12T00:00:00Z

This log cabin sits on a beautiful piece of the Hill Country. Smith Creek meanders through the 10 acres that Jen and Gregory share with their guests, who rave about their scenic nature walks, relaxing hot tub soaks, or night time fireside chats.
Three Graces Cabin is a true retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet only minutes from the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley. This romantic one bedroom cabin is nestled in an idyllic grove of oaks and cedar trees along the banks of Smith Creek. The cabin is situated on a private section of 10 gorgeous Hill Country acres that are shared with the owners. Take a stroll along the creek, watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire pit, view the stars from the deluxe hot tub, have a picnic in the tree house, get cozy with your honey alongside the old fashioned wood-burning stove, and feel the stress of your daily life melt away. In Greek mythology, the Three Graces are the Goddesses of Joy, Charm, and Beauty, three virtues that embody the spirit of Three Graces Cabin. Here you get the privacy and serenity of a country cabin with the amenities of modern life, including wifi. The cedar canopy bed and much of the furniture in Three Graces was designed and constructed by the owner, a professional woodworker. Every detail was selected to complement the rustic furnishings with a modern twist. At Three Graces the owners are environmentally conscious. They offer full recycling, use environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent, provide recycled paper products, offer a reverse-osmosis filtration system to eliminate the need for bottled water, and landscape with native low-water plants. We are confident that Three Graces Cabin will exceed your expectations. Just read some of the comments from the previous guests. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs from their hens in the fridge (when the chickens can keep up) and local, organic coffee. You won’t want to leave Three Graces, but you can always come back for another visit! Note: We have a two night minimum policy, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are willing to accept single night bookings for an additional $25. Pet policy: Pets allowed at $50 per pet and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended at the cabin that they be crated and that they remain on leash while on our property if they might be inclined to chase a cat, chicken or child. Thanks!
Wimberley is a charming town with great little shops, tasty restaurants, some of the best natural swimming holes in the state and scenic wineries. Come stay a spell...

  • Great romantic cabin to spend weekend !

    Olga2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very clean cabin and a very nice hot tub with everything secluded and the hosts were nice enough to put eggs in the fridge fresh from they're farm. They also have a nice little creek running through the property.

    Nick2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome 👏

    Mehmet Ali2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was my perfect kind of getaway. Enough privacy to get away, but still close to local shopping and grocery store. The porch was so pleasant to sit and read in the rocking chairs. The hot tub at night is a must. Turn out all of the lights and look up to gaze at the stars. It was beautiful and had been a long time since I’d seen the stars that bright. Our Golden Retriever loved the stay as well. We took her to walk the trails at Blue Hole and look forward to swimming there in the summer. We had such a lovely trip here.

Come experience this completely remolded shotgun house along the Trinity River. This Historic area of Dallas originally settled by Freed Slaves is 1.5 miles from Downtown. I designed this space with AirBnb travelers in mind as I am a frequent AirBnb guest. You have private access to your studio space. Queen size bed. Small kitchenette. High speed wifi. Smart TV. And a fantastic, spacious bathroom. The backyard deck is just outside your door. You have one the best downtown views in the city.
I provide Coffee roasted at local roaster/coffee shop that is about a mile away (Its a great spot to hang out and meet interesting locals :) look it up Full City Rooster.
This neighborhood is in transition. It is sandwiched by 2 of the hottest neighborhoods on town, Bishop Arts and the Cedars. It is about 1 mile in either direction to get to these trendy area and about 1.5 miles into downtown. You also easy access to Cowboys and Rangers stadiums and Six Flags.
  • Cute little studio apartment. The decor is amazing. Great use of color especially in a small space. The view from the deck is stunning. At night, the neighborhood was so quite we could here the nearby frogs from the deck.

  • Super cute Airbnb, it was clean and you get everything you need.

    Samy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place for a great price! Stefan is a great host and we felt very welcomed and taken care of! Really quiet location that's tucked out of the way. It seems a little sketchy at first but I wouldn't worry about the location. The place itself was clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. The shower temperature was a little low and it was hard not to get water all over the bathroom, but it wasn't too big of an issue. Overall, it was a great experience!

    Grady2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! Cute studio close to downtown. Easy check in, clean, cozy, and inexpensive!

    Julissa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay close to downtown! (Cheap Uber ride too!) The host was very hospitable, he has a very nice tenant next door that came over to introduce herself, wished me a happy birthday and offered to help if we needed anything. We didn’t see much of her after that, and we appreciated the privacy with also knowing there was someone close by to help if we needed anything. Definitely recommend and would stay at this location again!

Our cozy cottage located in our backyard garden is your own private oasis. Queen bed, hardwood floors, walk-in shower, high-speed internet, and a 1/2 acre lot right outside your door--complete with chickens, goats, bunnies, a duck and the cutest (and feistiest) pot-belly pig in Austin.
This fantastic backyard garden oasis has been completely remodeled and is available for rent by the night. Hardwood floors, AC unit, heater, queen-size bed with a fluffy duvet. Fully equipped bathroom with walk-in shower and a large closet. Small refrigerator and microwave for your convenience. Coffee pot and toaster oven. Free Wi-Fi! Enjoy a private entrance onto our beautiful 1/2 acre lot. Take in the fresh air while sitting in the Adirondack Chairs right outside your door or spend the day reveling in all that Austin has to offer. We are 3 1/2 miles from downtown Austin and the U.T. campus. There is a bus stop just a short walk up the street. Check-out time is 11:00 am and check-in time is after 2:00 pm. No minimum stay. Also available for rent by the month. Please look at calendar carefully as rates are subject to increase during festivals and other high traffic times (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc.) Price increases are reflected on the calendar! If you have animal allergies, this is NOT the place for you. Please take time to look at the pictures. We have a lot of animals on our property. We think of this as a huge plus, but allergy sufferers will most likely feel otherwise.
What do we love most about our neighborhood? The fact that we have a HUGE lot so close to downtown. It's like having a little bit of the country in the city.
  • The garden cottage is a total dream, really calm and relaxing space, very comfy bed, great shower and actually bigger than it looks in the photos. Marcella’s garden and animals (and family) are a total delight and you feel so welcome. Thank you, would love to stay again!

    Kirsten2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella's property is essentially a mini urban farm. Sleeping in a cabin amidst pigs and chickens is very charming (at least to me!), and there's a little on-site shed which is a snack store stocked with everything from sparkling water to popcorn. This stay is in a location that's best if you have a car as there is essentially nothing within walking distance.

    Anisse2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Cottage and it was an amazing experience! Marcella and her family are super welcoming and the property is beautiful! This is the perfect place for those who are looking for an authentic Austin experience!

    Arik2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Marcella’s garden cottage was the best experience I’ve ever had with airbnb. The most beautiful space with the most thoughtful touches, you can just feel the love in every corner! If I’m ever back in Austin this is the only place I’d go.

    Sarah2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place and great surprise! With friendly animals as well

    Kevin2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella’s place is absolutely wonderful. We just wanted to get away and spend some time together. Although the weather was not ideal, we were able to stay cozy in the cottage and whenever the rain broke, we played with the animals. This was a healing vacation for us and staying with Marcella made all the difference.

    Kim2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marcella's homestead is so adorable ! We didn't get the chance to really meet her and her family but based on the notes written in the notebook in our room, we know we missed out. It was so cool seeing a little mini farm in the middle of Austin. It is definitely a bit of a drive to get into downtown (about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic) but we didn't mind. Just a heads up to anyone who is planning on ubering everywhere. We would definitely recommend Marcella's home to anyone looking to experience Austin in a little different of a way.

    Holly2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cottage on a great property. We especially enjoyed the farm animals and the self-serve store for snacks and drinks! The cottage is full of quirky decorations and was very comfortable! Although not in the center of Austin, it was very easy to get anywhere within 15 minutes. Highly recommended if you prefer a stay off the beaten path!

  • The host is very nice and quick to communicate. The place is clean and nice. It has an American-Japanese mixed style. We really enjoyed the stay and will come back in the future.

  • Andrea's place was very nice and quiet. I enjoyed the interior design of the home and backyard. The amenities in the room were great. I would stay here again next time I visit the city.

    James2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea was an amazing host! The communication she offered along with the cleanliness of the room was wonderful! My Fiancé and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!

  • 10/10 recommend! There’s an incredible patio where you can take a coffee and enjoy the outdoors: there’s lots of natural lighting both in the room and in the upstairs “lounge” area. Very easy to get in and you have your own parking spot in the driveway. Very cozy! Great hospitality and communication as well

    Mary2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, spacious and easy communication with host. Would stay here again!

    Diana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea's place was beautiful as described. It was very neat, stylish and she responded in a timely manner. There are robes available for the guests. This is the best airbnb I have used so far!

Step up the crafted wooden outdoor staircase and into a home full of vintage character and charm. Our little loft is nestled up in the trees for a private and relaxing stay. Unwinding after an adventurous day around town or staycation it up.
The studio is located in a quiet neighborhood with great restaurants, shops and grocery stores within walking distance. It is just far enough to escape the noise of downtown and close enough to enjoy all Austin has to offer in a matter of minutes.
  • Great location! Nice home in a walkable area, great value for the price. Thanks

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment that was well decorated and cozy. Hostess went above and beyond to provide various amenities such as coffee, cereal, toiletries, etc. Great stay, and would love to do it again.

    Joe2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute place, clean and well stocked! Would stay here again a heartbeat.

    Diana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet little apartment, great location. We really enjoyed our stay. We were impressed at how many little comforts there were--food, toiletries, etc.

    Cassie2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I wanted to stay longer. I specifically liked how thought out the layout is. It is not a big place, but it has everything you would need, and it is more convenient than a bigger house would have been. There were plenty of extra snacks and drinks in the fridge. The bathroom is very clean and modern. The outside porch is cosy. Kitchen is equipped with everything to cook a meal.

    Mikhail2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I would absolutely stay here again! The loft was comfy and cute, with more than enough amenities. From the cereal and milk in the fridge, to the dry shampoo in the bathroom, I felt like all my bases were covered, thanks to the foresight of the host. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels. The desk even had tape, paper and post its! The porch on the side of the house was gorgeous and great for enjoying a cup of tea in the evening or coffee in the morning. The location was central for what I was doing, and close to plenty of restaurants. Parking was easy, check in was hassle-free, and the price was affordable. I did message the host twice to inquire about early check in and having a package delivered, and never got a response, which is whatever. I usually value my privacy and don’t require interaction with the host, these were just unique circumstances. Other than that, absolutely perfect experience!

    Kjersti2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great location. Would stay again.

    David & Margie2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing well curated space! Everything about Zoe's unit was on point. The decor is fun, eclectic & on trend for this space. The little extras - coffee, creamer, snacks and toiletries are so thoughtful and just added to the warmth. Also, the terrace was perfect for a morning coffee! Walking around the neighborhood, we were able to find a few gems- Back Lot for an Old Fashion, Spider House for a patio beer & El Patio for some old school Mexican, all within a short walk! I will definitely be looking for a reason to come back to Austin & stay at Zoe's place!

Porch Light Hospitality presents The Hideaway. Built in 2016, The Hideaway presents the best in modern farmhouse design with the charm of rustic barn wood and contemporary furnishings. Envisioned as a couples retreat, the quietness and quaintness that will help you relax and renew. It boasts a large walk in shower and jetted bathtub, king size bed, and spacious living room. The outdoor courtyard will amaze you with a gas fireplace, television, hot tub, and outdoor shower.
  • The Gathering is the way you do Fredericksburg! Every picture was true to description and even better in person. We enjoyed nature, the fireplace, the hot tub at night, and the place was a perfect place to call “home” as we explored Fredricksburg. We studied The Scoop and the recommended spots from the hosts (they give a great local inside scoop to what’s best to visit) and we almost hit every one of them. Big fans of Otto’s Emma & Ollie (get the tomato toast), warehouse and Vaudeville Bistro. We will be coming back and we will be checking months in advance to make sure we can enjoy the Gathering again.

    Kurt2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay (looks just like the photos suggest!) and especially enjoyed the “welcome” pamphlet that gave suggestions on restaurants, wineries, etc. We ended up trying a few new places we had never been before, and have found our new favorite winery (Signor Vineyards). It was also so nice to watch the sunset overlooking the field behind The Gathering. Thank you for providing a quiet, peaceful retreat for the weekend. We would love to come back in the future!

    Kelly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed in The Hideaway for one night, and we had such a nice stay. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and this one was one of the best. There was so much space and we loved the indoor/outdoor living area. Absolutely recommend this Airbnb for your stay in Fredericksburg.

    Amanda2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb’s my husband and I have ever stayed in. I loved that you could watch TV while in the hot tub, so cool! The only minor thing I’d recommend is that you bring beach towels with you. We only received 4 towels for 2 people staying 2 nights. That would be fine normally except when you consider the hot tub usage.

    Jennie2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Modern decor with great amenities! The indoor/outdoor fireplace was fantastic. We didn’t get to use the hot tub but it was nice to know we had the option :o) Roomy and spacious. Loved our little staycation!

    Chelsea2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved our stay! We really liked that it was close to town, but far enough to have that “get away” feel.

    Sabrina2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The best little gem in Fredericksburg! I will be looking to book again!

The German Schmear Cottage is tucked away on a quiet street in the Mountainview area. It is centrally located (HEB, Target, and Starbucks are right down the road) and only 10-15 minutes from downtown, the Silos, and Baylor. Once a detached garage, this 400 square foot space is now a cozy, modern living space and is on the property of the main German Schmear (fixer upper) house, which is also a vacation rental. See pictures for more detailed information about the tiny house.
This newly renovated tiny house offers a quaint living space, kitchen, full bathroom, large closet, and a lofted sleeping space. Refer to the pictures to see the staircase that leads to the loft, in which there is a queen mattress. The couch folds out into a queen size bed. The cozy kitchen provides a full refrigerator, a stove, a microwave, a coffee maker, coffee, a toaster, and an electric stove (no dishwasher). The full bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, cotton swabs, cotton pads, and a hair dryer. The cafe lights create the perfect ambiance for the outdoor living area.
The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful. It is a great area to go on walks. To respect our kind neighbors, we just ask that you keep the noise down outside after 9:00pm.
  • Our experience at The German Schmear Cottage was absolutely over the top! We loved staying here. Everything was amazing! We would definitely recommend this charming cottage for your visit to Waco!

  • We were very pleased with our stay at Jeff and Sara’s tiny home. We loved our stylish space and felt very safe with the location. Having our own backyard made it enjoyable for us to sit out back and enjoy some of the nicer weather we got in Texas. Thank you Jeff and Sara for being such great hosts. We had a fantastic weekend in Waco and can’t wait to come back in the near future!

Please contact us for new long term discounts for monthly stays! Welcome to our studio in the heart of Hyde Park! Our private studio is located in our backyard with parking in front of our house. You can walk to Hyde Park Village, the Triangle or North Loop and it is minutes to downtown and UT.
Our private studio offers convenient access to everything you want to do in Austin. It is small (approximately 220 square feet, like a small hotel room) but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with charm (and everything you need for a great stay). The studio is located in the backyard of our house (private fenced yard, side entrance) and is separate from the main house, although it shares an insulated wall with a home office, typically in use from 9-5. Also included are WiFi, and smart TV (no cable, but Netflix account pre logged in.) The studio has a brand new queen sized bed. Due to its limited size, we do not allow the studio to be used by more than 2 full-sized adults. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave. Additionally, all of the windows have window coverings for privacy, though the top windows are uncovered for natural light . As we are located in the middle of a historic residential community (and love our neighbors and this is our backyard), keeping outdoor noise down is critical. If you're a fan of blaring music and doing beer bongs, you're in the wrong place. The studio is located near several bus stops in a safe neighborhood that is very safe to walk in. Thanks for checking us out! Property is available only on long term month-to-month basis.
Our beautiful and friendly neighborhood is one of the oldest in Austin. It is full of tree lined streets with eclectic homes. You can walk to local coffee shops, restaurants or Shipe Park for a picnic or swim (in the summer time)!

A locally well known modern small house featured in the Houston Architectural Guide, this house is a compact two story situated in a lush garden setting. It is located inside Loop 610, in a transitional neighborhood about a mile south of the University of Houston and within a few miles of Downtown, The Medical Center, and the Museum District. Nearest light rail stop is a 12 minute walk. YMCA, Library, and Grocery shopping all within a mile. The house is not available for parties.
This building is now about 20 years old, but is well known in the Houston architectural community as a little design gem, and has been widely published and featured on several HGTV shows.
This is a transitional neighborhood undergoing redevelopment with new large housing blocks, infill housing, and revamped basic shopping. The neighborhood affords easy and relatively quick access to main freeways Loop 610, I-45, and 288.
  • Cute house with nice garden in the middle of a suburb.

  • Really nice and spacious. Flexible host.

    Mason2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I HIGHLY recommend the place. Even though it's a tiny home, the place is very open and spacious; I never felt cramped at all. The style of the place was very cute and the outside is extremely beautiful. I was able to check in and out very smoothly and it's very peaceful. I will definitely stay at this place again <3

    Haley2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Anne's home is truly delightful. An experience not to be missed. Constructed largely from concrete glass and metal, it has a distinctly European feel and a sense of permanence that is often missing from typical wood-framed structures. The home is complete with all facilities required for any length of stay, including a firm bed, which is sadly rare in most homes.

    Kerith2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, stylish touches! Would stay here again.

    Jared2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s guest house could be considered a medium sized tiny house. Very modern and unique in design, but more spacious than what comes to mind when you think “tiny house”. It was an absolute pleasure. Very clean, extremely pleasant and very close to downtown Houston.

    Drew2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Anne’s place is awesome. Described perfectly but a lot more little surprises once you actually explore the space. The bed was comfy, space was generally clean and host was responsive. Would definitely book here again!

  • I lived here for 3 months for a school internship, and I believe I have been their longest staying guest. I loved every part of my stay and getting to know everyone and the area. The camper is cozy and cute and has everything you need. The porch is really nice to hang out on, and the hot tub is wonderful as well. Everyone was super helpful and nice, and if I ever needed anything, they always took care of me. I became friend's with their son and we would hang out often. I would always recommend the camper to anyone and get the wonderful experience that I had here. It was a truly special place to get to spend a few months at.

Definitely recommend and would come back in a heart beat!

  • My wife and I came to Fredricksburg to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. I can't say enough great things about our stay at Mary's place! If you're planning to stay in Fredricksburg, try your best to stay here. Very private, close to main street, 25 minutes from enchanted rock (an incredibly scenic drive), and an incredible morning view filled with deer. There are so many great places within 5 minutes. We had such a great time, we ended up booking an extra day. Our 2 pups loved everything as well. We Can't wait to come back!

I have over 1,250+ positive reviews for all my three listings & have been a super host for the last 4 years. I do my best to maintain this and for you to have a superb stay :)
200 sq. ft. Casita. It features, WiFi, TV with Netflix, comfortable futon that turns into a full size/queen size bed, work space, dinning area, kitchen & bathroom. This is a tiny house, so 1-2 travelers is the max. No pets. It is very cozy! Oh, there is a fire pit & back patio that you have access to as well.
I live in a neighborhood, a place where people walk their dogs, greet you, interact with you, and make you feel part of the community. There are a variety of restaurants with a 1 mile radius (mexican, pizza, great burgers, vietnamese, chinese, korean, and japanese).
  • Hands down one of the coziest stays I have had. I love El Paso so much and this little casita is the perfect representation of what this city is. Thank You!

  • Victor's casita was a breath of fresh air after 8 hours on the road! The space was comfortable, cozy, and very stylishly decorated. Little touches like coffee, tea, and cereal for our morning improved our experience greatly. All in all a great value for our short stay in El Paso.

  • This was a cool little gem. Exactly what I was looking for - very close to Franklin mountain trails for my trail runs and almost immediate access to highway. 10 minutes to job site! As Victor explained, quiet and safe neighborhood. Lots of great tips in Host package. Super satisfied with this find.

  • I can't say enough about Victor's place. It was a home away from home. I was there a month and It had everything I could possibly need. The special touch in decor made it feel cozy with an El Paso flare. Victor was always available if I had any questions. I recommend this gem and will definitely stay there again if I have the opportunity.

Sharon was very kind to let me leave my luggage for a while after check out time (10 am) so that I could collect them after my interview.

At the tip top of the Texas hill country, the Birdhouse offers endless views from the bedroom balcony while providing a rustic feel with modern amenities. It is the perfect spot to feel both lost and found all at once.
To access the Birdhouse, you must climb the stairs up to a platform in a neighboring tree and then walk the cable bridge directly into the second floor bedroom. Down the cedar stairway is the main floor with a kitchenette and bathroom. Settle onto the balcony and enjoy the majesty of a Texas sunset. Surrounded by cedar and hardwoods, you are guaranteed a concert from our local birds and maybe even a gobble from the wild turkeys. Deer, jack rabbits, horses and some cows may also pay you a visit. The Birdhouse is furnished with electricity, hot water and air conditioning. Outlets upstairs include USB ports for charging your devices. A small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave can be found in the kitchenette. There is no TV or Internet so bring a book or maybe just good company! The following will also be provided with your stay: Bed linens and pillows (Queen size memory foam bed) Towels Shampoo/Conditioner Body wash/Soap Glasses, utensils and plates. Some snacks and drinks
Our property is located among other large acreage properties in a rural area.
  • If you’re looking for a peaceful or romantic getaway this place is perfect! We came here to celebrate our new lives as newlyweds and had so much fun. If you get the opportunity to meet their fur babies, Twinkie and Ace, I hope you jump at it because they were super adorable! We definitely want to come back to check out the nest and the la tour house!

  • This Airbnb is phenomenal! My husband and I chose it for a quick 24 hr getaway and we wish we would have booked it for longer! WOW! The Birdhouse is stunning, the location was peaceful and Glen Rose is adorable! I think our favorite part was standing out on the balcony looking at the Texas night sky and the millions of stars you could see for miles. It was exactly what we needed and such a great value for what you get! We WILL be back!

  • Fantastic, beautiful, and just the best.

    Rebecca2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I genuinely enjoyed our stay. It's not a typical place to book. It has a lot of character. Great for people who just want to relax and get away from normal life. When we stayed, there was no WiFi, which we preferred since it helped us disconnect from everything even more. Highly recommend!
