This place is great value for money. You are tucked away with amazing views as well as being right under Mt Wellington. But at the same time you are only 10 min drive from Hobart. It is the perfect location and the place itself was so cozy with a beautiful view from your bed. The host, Mieke was also very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend.

An absolute must! Close to the CBD and all amenities, with everything you need within easy reach! Lovely private property, with great views of the city! We also had a wonderful opportunity to chat with Mieke, who gave us some lovely tips for places to see in the Huon Valley & Bruny Island. Would definitely recommend to friends!

We have enjoyed our stay at Mieke's. The place has all the creature comfort we needed: very comfortable bed for a restful sleep, silence, fully equipped kitchen (no microwave oven, but it was not missed), clean bathroom amenities, and a warm welcome. We will certainly stay here again when we visit Hobart again. Next time, we'll make the best of our stay and take on the walking tracks of Mount Wellington!

Lovely drive to the location, great location South of Hobart. Gorgeous scenery set at the lower end of Mt Wellington. Very cozy place. Enjoyed the ease and comfort of our stay. Especially loved the sandstone mosaic shower! Excellent all of the above, highly recommend!

Frankie’s place is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle. It was so cute and quirky, with amazing design touches throughout. We loved snuggling up by the fire with the many blankets available and enjoying the complimentary bottle of wine! A great spot to base yourself to explore the many amazing hikes in the area. Can’t recommend enough.

Frankie’s home was absolutely beautiful! Very stylish with a lot of thoughtful touches. Watching the sunset from the front room and balcony with the wine she left for us was the perfect way to end the evening. Loved being able to have a fire as well. Would highly recommend!!

Taranna is a lovely location, very convenient to anywhere you might want to go on the Tasman Peninsula, and has a pleasant small-scale feel. The shack is just across the road from the jetty and bay, nice for a stroll. The shack is very much as advertised and shown in photos, relaxing to hang out in, spacious, and sitting on the front deck in good weather is very pleasant.

Frankie’s place is a good base to explore the Tasman Peninsula. It is a funky design with a fabulous deck for relaxing with a drink.

Amazing inspiring shack!! The decoration is awesome, Frankie is very nice! We had a great stay. Just if you are sensitive to noise like me, bring your earplugs as it's on the highway (there is not so many traffic though) :) We will come back!!

A one of a kind experience!! Loved monty’s hideaway and the beautiful grounds it is situated on. Great quiet location about 20mins easy walk into city.

I loved staying at the Hideaway! The space is though fully designed and presented with underfloor heating, a large rain shower head, and the open roof which was brilliant. The location is an easy walk to the city, Salamanca and Sandy Bay, making many good cafes within walking distance. The list of recommended places to try was also appreciated!

I can’t say enough good things about my stay at the Hideaway. I was blessed with amazing weather, so got to experience the stars at night and glorious blue sky in the morning. Everything was super clean and I really loved the shower too!! Would definitely stay again.

This place is amazing! If you've seen Netflix's Tiny House Nation and enjoyed it, this will be right up your street. With the added bonus of a large bathroom and rain shower. Would 100% stay again. The retractable roof is dreamy!

Monty’s Hideaway was a great space for us (a couple) to stay for two nights. It was just as described and we loved the opening roof (unfortunately both nights were cloudy). We enjoyed sitting on the deck to relax after a hard day of sightseeing. The sleek and modern bathroom made mornings less of a chore!

Very groovy little space in a gorgeous neighbourhood.

This was one of my favourite Airbnb experiences ever! The removable ceiling was incredible and being able to watch stars from the bed was so unique and something that I will never forget. The container is has many beautiful touches. I highly recommend this accommodation and I would love to come back and stay again.

If we could give the Container more than 5 stars we would. It was an absolutely perfect getaway & allowed us to feel completely and utterly relaxed. There are so many activities to do at the container & a beautiful walk that you can do on the property too. The homemade bread and fresh free range eggs were absolutely amazing. We will be back!

Our first trip to Tassie and we used the Container as our home for the first three nights. A magical place with magnificent views and amazing architecture and personal touches. Funky, fun and a fantastic location. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

Sarah's place is amazing. From the moment you step into the cottage, you know you are in for a real treat. The level of care and thought put into selecting each piece of furnishing is astounding. The cottage even smells good! We enjoyed having a stroll along the bay, feeding the ducks out front and chilling, gazing at the ever-changing weather outside through the large windows. The cottage even has it's own Spotify playlist to set the mood! Highly recommended!

We loved our stay. Braye gave us our privacy but answered any messages promptly. The indoor space was super comfortable with some really good design ideas, but it's the outdoor deck with cedar hot tub, fire pit and sauna down amongst the gum trees overlooking the water where we spent most of our time. Just pick up some groceries at Hill Street Grocer at Blackmans Bay on the way from Hobart, settle in and enjoy the peace.

This place is paradise! A beautiful location, stunning views, with stylish architecture that respects the landscape. The sauna and hot tub were sublime. The steps down to the water front are a nice touch! Perfect hosts who have thought of everything to make your stay comfy and chilled. A very hard place to leave. We hope to come back again!

Amazing place, really beautiful, clean and peaceful. The wildlife in the garden is stunning. You have little touch a love all around the house and that make all the difference.

It is a warm and lovely 3-level hostel located in Hobart. There are supermarket and restaurants nearby so we don't need to worry for meals. The house is built alongside the hills so you would see a lot of wallabies at your backyard just as elle said. Elle has prepared a bowl of carrots for us to play with the wallabies which is fun. She has also prepared more than enough cooking utensils to let us enjoy cooking with fresh Tasmania food. There are also sweet notes to tell you how to ooerate the electrical appliances in the house. She has also dropped down trip advice and parking suggedtion in Hobart which helps us a lot. Nontheless there is also a stove for us to play with at night. It is a 10/10 hostel in Tasmania. I would definitely recommend other to visit!

Elle’s place is the best in our Aus trip! Out Tassie journey started from being Welcomed by our fiendly neighbours- lovely wallabies! We can meet and feed them everyday in Elle’s Garden. Elle is very caring and we can see many details from what she prepared for us in the house, eg. welcoming note, carrots for wallabies, well equipped kitchen and bathroom... We definitely recommend you to stay here if you have chance to travel Tassie❤️

It is a unique space, filled with a million thoughtful personal touches and a garden full of pademelons to come home to each evening.

Elle’s place was excellent, from the super helpful notes/instructions around the house to the beautiful location from which to enjoy the views and visits of the pademelons. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay, making use of the nearby Hobart Rivulet trail to walk to the CBD or Cascade Brewery.

It was wonderful to have the chance to stay here. The location was perfect for us to relax, enjoy the beautiful views and wildlife. The home is a very short distance from the city and makes all of the surrounding areas of interest very accessible, including food shopping. The home was a delight, we loved the quirky nature of the home and the description of the steps is very much appropriate. All the basics were there to allow us to enjoy our holiday with ease. The home is so comfortable, spotlessly clean and was fun to stay in. The large windows made watching Mt Wellington and surrounding landscape at sunset a great added bonus. Booking and checking in could not have been easier! Everything was quick and straight forward. Checking out was also lovely and simple. Lesley was such a wonderful host and the property was amazing! Even with the rain the room was very comfortable and cozy (heated blanket and fireplace!) and I had a great stay! I highly recommend staying here!

Highly recommended in many areas. A warm attentive host. A dream place if you love the peace, nature and animals. The wallabies literally come to your window. Very good price / quality. Cozy cottage with an incredible view even from your bed. Holiday with an incredible home feeling ideal for relaxing and recharging the batteries.

This place is amazing for a retreat in the nature (but still close enough to the city if needed), especially if you are an animal lover. Lesley is super friendly and helpful for everything necessary. Highly recommended!

Lesley’s place was awesome! If I would have known we would have loved it so much we would have stayed another night or two!! I’d definitely stay again if I returned to the Hobart area. It’s exactly as described on her listing. Our favorites were the views, the friendly mini-horse and the wood burning fire!

Sheepwash Bay is a secluded gem of a place that makes you want to give up city life and hitch a shack on paddock somewhere. The experience John and jenene have designed is so authentic and special. With little touches like fresh bread in the morning, access to their veggie garden and eggs to morning hugs from their dog Mikey. The shack is beautifully designed, very clean, warm and well equipped. This is the perfect off the grid weekend away, could not recommend more.

The perfect hideaway to relax and recharge on Bruny Island. Beautiful surroundings and the cabin is cozy, inviting and well-equipped with everything we needed, along with a number of thoughtful touches throughout. A true gem and we hope to return one day!

The Shack is a charming space in an amazing location. We had dinner as we watched the sun set over Sheepwash Bay, and picked fresh vegetables for our breakfast in the morning. Can't wait to visit again!

Situated directly opposite the water, made for an amazing entry at sunset. Just sat by the window watching the world go by. The cottage made for an enjoyable stay, would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

My partner and I had such a lovely, cosy stay here! The views were beautiful, it was conveniently located (we loved having the Rosevears Hotel next door for dinner - and yet, no noticeable noise!) - and easy to visit many local attractions. We had a great stay at Liz and Alex’s. It was beautifully designed. We loved the large glass door that could pivot on its hinges out onto the courtyard. Whilst its in the heart of Hobart it felt like we were miles away from town. It has the benefits of convenience paired with being quiet and tranquil. Only thing I’d say is just the lighting at night isn’t that bright for cooking. Perfect for a couple’s getaway! 👌

What a lovely place to escape everyday life and experience a farm stay! We were surprised by how much space we had in the cottage and it was very comfortable to relax in after a big day of canyoning at Cradle Mountain. We enjoyed meeting the animals and walking around the beautiful property and we were very grateful for the breakfast provisions including eggs and delicious orange juice and mustn't forget to mention the port! So good!

Cute little place by the sea that my partner and I stayed at for one night. Ross was a lovely host, coming and helping us get the fire started after our long day of driving. Highlights were the hanging lounge in the backyard, which we could have both sat in forever (it was so comfy!), and the fire pit which was so nice to sit by in the evening. It was great to have all the amenities too, as we could cook and do laundry very easily. Would recommend!

Ross and Janice's place is absolutely gorgious. The cottage is really comfortable and clean and all needed is available. The close access to the beach is so nice. We came with two children of 7 and 8 and for us it was the ideal spot. The kids enjoyed climbing on the rocks and playing on the beach and all of us had a wonderful and relaxing time.

We loved our stay at the little pod on the hill. It was so peaceful and the views were great. Close enough to Hobart, lots of wildlife around and very quiet to recharge those batteries. Very cosy place and we’d definitely stay again.

A beautiful home, nestled near Hobart in the hills. It feels like a beautiful farm stay, but still so close to the city. It was cold weather when we visited, but we arrived to a warm, heated home and wonderful views. Will absolutely be back!

Clare's place is amazing for someone who want a chill eco-friendly place with a stunning view and nature around. I recommend it warmly and I could definitly have stayed there longer than one night.

It was an amazing experience living in Vanilla pod, very clean and maintained and loved to see how you are saving water and how beautifully environment friendly this place is.

We had a wonderful stay at Hobart Hideaway Pods. The view was spectacular! Clare was an excellent host who was a breeze to communicate with and provided us with excellent information about the local area.

Quaint little cottage, we took our little dog and we all enjoyed our stay! Netflix and Amazon Prime were an added bonus. Perfect for a night or two away, handy to watch football, short drive to city etc. comfy bed, washing machine and even had Doritos and Chocolates on our pillows. Well priced, very tidy, lovely. We’ll be back!!!

Nice place to stay, grate hospitality

We didnt get to stay long but we wish we did! There were fancy snacks waiting for us after a long day, a comfy bed and everything we could have hoped for! The facilities were clean and practical, and they were very accomodating to our needs. I recommend this place for anyone who has to stay around Launceston!

This place is where the old meets new, classic meets modern. We loved the character of the house and generous space. The location was absolutely outstanding. So close to lots of attractions, hospitals, shops, parks and cafes. A very relaxing place to come back after exploring the area. Would definitely recommend it.

Staying here is like staying at your own place. Frederic is keen to make your stay confortable in permanently wondering if you got all what you need. We had a very nice diner that was prepared by himself (he is a former restaurant owner) very well cooked with fresh local products and accompanied with a glass of very good Tasmania wine. The property is conveniently located a drive away from Cradle Mountain (other nice spots closer if you don't want to drive there). So in conclusion if you are looking for a place to feel home in a stunning environment with a very nice host this place is for you. But watch out reservation ahead is required!

This place is one of the genuine finds of Air BnB and I can’t recommend it enough! The property is located not far from Cradle Mountain and is stunningly beautiful in its own right. There are farm animals as well as some local natives that come down to say hello. Dom was friendly and professional, greeting us on arrival and showing us around. We also took Dom up on his offer of cooking and it was one of the best meals I’ve eaten in my life.

Beautiful location with outstanding view of Mt Roland and lots of native wildlife!

The view from the deck is absolutely spectacular. You get to look at Mt. Roland in all its glory - changing constantly throughout the day. The dining table is set up so that you even get to watch the mountain while enjoying your meals. Eclectically decorated, the house was very clean, with good quality sheets and towels. Very comfortable bed. The king bed faces the mountain. Amazing to wake up to that view. Nice to have a BBQ. Communications were excellent. It is a country property, so there is a bit of drive to town and local attractions. However, we loved having the privacy and felt like we had it all to ourselves. Lots of local wildlife to enjoy and of course the 2 horses and 3 sheep. Highly recommend.

Nothing but great things to say about this AirBnB! A quirky colourful space with huge comfortable beds, the best views in town and plenty of wildlife added in for free. Do yourself a favour and request Dom to cook you dinner - not only do you not have to leave the property, but sharing a memorable meal while drinking in the spectacular views of Mount Roland will ensure a stay you wont forget.

Beautifully decorated reminese of a bygone era colours of cottage blended so well together, love the little touches of leadlight glass and Art Deco, topped off with a heavenly view of the mountain yes it’s definitely a little garden of eden.

Anthony and Leeroy's space is lovely. So stylish and cozy. A basement unit that still feels airy and bright! The fresh bread was a lovely tough, as were the eggs. The garden was beautiful and I wish we had more time to enjoy it. As a basement unit it did have a bit of noise from movement upstairs but it didn't affect our stay. We stayed overnight after finishing the Overland Track and before driving to Hobart . I couldn't have been happier with this absolutely wonderful little place in its gorgeous garden and with the attention to making our stay so homely. Fresh baked bread and eggs ! We had a lovely stay at Anthony’s place. The space was very stylish and clean. The garden is really peaceful and beautiful and they shared some of its produce with us. A highlight was that our little dog had a secure yard to play in and loved the company of Bam and August the two resident dogs. Check in was smooth and we had everything we needed. Beautiful views from the deck, lounge and bedroom and lovely spotlessly clean house, with a bath big enough for two in the bedroom. We also had nightly visits from a couple of Wallabies which was delightful. A perfect couples escape.

I can only confirm everyone else's positive reviews and to add that the walk to the pub was the nicest I can remember.....and I have walked a few in my 60+ years!

Amazing place to stay to get a way from the world for a bit! We were 2 teenage girls who just finished the overland track and caught the only bus to nubeena from Hobart (there is one a day). We got around quite easily by hitchhiking with some lovely travellers (we did the cape Raoul walking track with a lovely couple who picked us up and they even dropped us back right outside the front door of sunhouse). Very beautifully curated interior and loved having a bath under the stars. There is even fruit and herbs to pick from garden! Can’t recommend enough!!

Had an excellent stay here. The house is small but beautifully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed playing board games by the fire and the outdoor bathtub was very relaxing.

The Gregan Retreat was the perfect weekend away for two new Tasmanians. Location is brilliant only 1.5hrs north of Hobart, 20mins for Swansea (for the all important coffee) and about 1hr 15mins to the start of the Winglass Bay walk. The cottage was clean, very comfy, kitchen for cooking and a beautiful veranda to sit and read while looking over the river and grape vines. A short walk to a white sand beach (with some pretty decent surf while we were there). Katherine and her mother Jane were brilliant with communication, and while we kept to ourselves, the offers of wine tasting and local knowledge is a really nice touch. I would have no trouble recommending this little cottage as your east coast launch pad.

Staying at Lisdillon was a great experience! The cottage is cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Definitely try the Pinot Noir - the best I’ve had in Tassie so far!!

Very cute cottage on a cute little farm. You are quite removed from everything which is what we were looking for. There is no WiFi but we had fine cell reception. Plus we were looking to disconnect a bit anyhow so this place was everything we wanted. Katherine was gone but her mother was around to facilitate anything we needed; the two of them were both super fast to respond to anything we asked about. I would definitely stay here again!

A beautiful, serene place to explore. The beach was gorgeous at sunrise. The small cottage gave us a peaceful environment to enjoy each other’s company.

A wonderful stay in a truly unique location. A great spot for cutting off from the world and kicking back. Good base for trips out but retreating back for a glass of wine on the veranda. Perfect!

An amazing gorgeous oasis of calm. Luckily we were able to arrive in the light, as it was a bit tricky to locate,....but once installed, we were so delighted to call the Gregan Retreat our home. Tim put some logs in the wood burner, we had a bottle of Bundeburg Australian rum and two hot scallop pies from the local bakery and sat on the porch, watching a full moon rise over the distant hills and listening to the night sounds. The electric blanket made our cosy bedroom even more idyllic. The shower, towels, kitchen supplies made for a wonderful stay. A morning stroll down to the waves was delightful. We had a great stay at the bungalow. Anita and Marcus were very accommodating to us campers treating ourselves for a few days. It’s in a great location, not far out of the city itself and also quite close to surf beaches. Great coffee at the shops the next street over! Cosy stay! We recommend for any couple! Ba War Japanese restaurant in Hobart was also amazing for anyone who likes Japanese haha

Perfect little bungalow, 15 minute drive from the city with major supermarket close by. Small but cosy, Very clean and had basic cooking essentials (portable electric stove/microwave/fridge etc). Host is very friendly!

The Little Beach House in Howrah was clean, cosy and comfortable with thoughtful touches. A great location with little Howrah beach a short walk away and lots of lovely places to eat if your not wanting to stay in the city itself. A little gem!

The view is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. The bathroom feels like a spa, and the bed is incredibly comfortable with great linens. The little kitchenette has everything you could possibly need.

Me and my girlfriend loved every minute of our stay. Glenys has thought of every little detail both in and outside of the house. The views from bed, shower and living room were spectacular and we loved being able to sit inside and watch the surfers all day. This is a special home. As soon as you walk in the door you feel relaxed and happy. The owners have gone above and beyond to create a beautiful, comfortable and unique space. You will want for nothing, lots of little details have been thoughtfully catered for. A real gem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didnt want to leave. There was plenty of things to occupy ourselves; books, games, movies/netfix etc , sport equipment and surf gear for adults and children. The views of the ocean are amazing. The ocean sea breeze is so refreshing. The beds were next level of snuggly, warm comfort..like a fluffy cloud. We were grateful to have such a wonderful haven to stay on our trip in Tasmania

If you’re contemplating booking this accommodation, look no further. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and a wonderful base if you’re doing anything in Hobart, Port Arthur or surrounding areas. The house is just as you’d imagine it and Glenys was great at communicating all the details you’d need to navigate the towns nearby, pickup supplies and check in with ease. Waking up to the sunset in bed and 180 degree ocean views from every room was beyond amazing. Watching the sunset, people surfing and wallaby’s hop past the back fence whilst enjoying a fire with wine and cheese is an experience we will never ever forgot. This home has a lot of love in it, expressed in every detail. We cannot wait to come back again...and again...and again. You can’t go past this place! And if you’re lucky you will get a visit from Dobby the adorable cat from next door.

We stayed for 5 nights. We really enjoyed our stay. Craig was very kind and also helpful with advice. The accommodation itself is self contained and is within a very large garden in a very quiet rural setting. Everything was good.

We had a great time staying at Craig and Adam's guest cottage. We looked for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable accommodation that is a little outside of Hobart, yet not too far away to visit Mona, Hobart and the surroundings for a few days. Craig and Adam's place ticked all these boxes, so we were very happy that we found this! Craig and Adam are very friendly, everything is easy and uncomplicated. This is the vantage house down in the hill nearby Mt. Wellington. Have to say, the view from the house is spectacular, we catch a glimpse of Hobart, which is fantastic. When we checked in, Mark told us the brief of the house style and showed us around. It was a charming experience and gave our road trip a friendly pried in Tassie.

A great mountain retreat surrounded by ferns and some signs of wildlife, with a comfortable shared living space and a cosy room. Great facilities and inclusions. The parking space can be a bit tight and the local wildlife may nibble on any plants you leave near your vehicle, but it is a beautiful space for contemplation and reflection!

The house and the decoration is very lovely and the bathroom is the best with a view and light wonderful. The climatisation of the house is not fine( thermal inertia ), very hot by day and cold by night, in spite of there is a air conditioning intne living room.
