Bryn Gwyn was exactly as I thought it would be! It was in a fab location perfect for what we wanted. There were 12 of us and we found that there was plenty of room for us all. Clare's description of the house was very accurate. We loved our weekend. Thank you Clare

This is a lovely home from home, very spacious, homely and full of character. The kitchen is well equipped which was important as we were cooking Christmas dinner for 10 people. At times we had 8 people all participating in the preparing, joking and laughing in the kitchen while cooking the meals. There was ample space for all. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, views from all the rooms were amazing, we watched some wonderful sunsets and my niece loved feeding the chickens and collecting the eggs. Her omelettes were therefore extra special . In the preparation the host answered all our questions and gave ample information on the house and surrounding areas We had a lovely chilled time and would definitely go back. Many thanks Sandra

We stayed at Clare's place as a group of 9 in middle January. We had a great time although the weather was not very friendly it was absolutely freezing. The house is well equipped and very spacious. The cat is adorable although she scratched a few of us :)

This house is truly stunning and it is impossible to capture the beauty of this tranquil spot through photos, the views from some of the bedrooms over the lake are unrivalled for this part of Snowdonia and I've stayed in lots of lovely places around this area. Inside the house is very tastefully furnished with lovely original Victorian / Edwardian features especially the encaustic tiles in the hallways. Only downsides were the top room - no blinds or curtains which was tough for those sleeping in there to enjoy a relaxing morning, and also the strict controls on heating, switched off after 10pm after which the place is very cold (we were there mid February)...we spent a lot of money on firewood to keep warm but I it contributed to the experience...Overall I would highly recommend this place especially for a summer holiday, I'd love to come back and sit by the lake.

Bryn Gwyn was such a lovely house to stay in for a weekend away from London. The house is situated among beautiful fields and a river. Clare was a very helpful host and provided all the necessary amenities. The house itself is larger than expected. It is full of beautiful and eclectic art, as well as an extremely impressive book collection! The house can comfortably fit 8-10 people and with the addition of the attic lounge/bed area makes it a perfect space to relax with a group of friends. The kitchen was large and well equip and made 3 people cooking 3 separate meals at the same time very easy. I highly recommend Bryn Gwyn!

The house we stayed was situated in a very beautiful location in the village with lake view , the house was traditional and was impressive with loads of wall pics , good kitchen and daisy the cat was very cute , the neighbourhood was very friendly , the local shop have everything we need all basics covered , they were very friendly ... We had a lovely time as a family at Clares home. Suited our needs perfectly, we spent most of the time we were home sat around the kitchen table. Beautiful views of the lake from the house, and location was great for Snowdon. Communication with Clare was fab before, during and after our stay.

This was an absolutely fantastic stay in an incredible space full of character and was perfect for our large family get together (7 adults,1 baby).The communication before and during or stay was good and made for an easy booking and planning.Our family got to spend time together comfortably and in such a beautiful setting.Thank you heaps and we would love to stay again if you'll have us!!!Highly recommend.

Sam was a very informative host. All details supplied were completely accurate and her little cottage was a great base. The pictures dont do the place justice. The local pub Cross Foxes is only a 1 minute walk from the cottage and the locals are very friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again for sure. Thanks Sam

If you are looking for quiet place to relax this cottage will not disappoint you. Sam was extremely helpful, organised our stay on one day notice. Cottage was warm and we really enjoyed sitting in front of fireplace. Safe and family friendly. Our 10 month old and 6 years old were never bored there with lots of games and dvd's giving us some time to sit down and enjoy too. Perfect! Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying at Hugh`s house very much. It`s situated within Snowdonia National Park with easy access to many attraction including Snowdon itself. The house is basic , but equipped extremely well with anything you can possibly want during your stay, especially kitchen. We had a big party of 8 people and it did not feel small at all. everyone really enjoyed the pool table that was there. Unfortunately we were not able to use the central heating , but Hugh provided electrical heaters for us. Hugh was very understanding and helpful and allowed us to change the booking at shortnoticewhen when one of our children was sick and we were unable to travel on the initially planned day. We would definitely recommend Hugh`s place if you travelling with kids.

The cottage was amazing. Kitchen was very well equipped. Hugh has been really responsive throughout our stay, and has kindly allowed us to check in early, and check out late (which was particularly helpful, as we were able to sleep in after a long day of hike at Snowdon). Thumbs up to the fact that towels are provided! It might be slightly inconvenient without a car. Public transport seems limited. We started our hike at Pen-Y-pass and it was about an hour drive from the cottage.

The host, Hugh, was wonderfully kind and generous and you couldn't ask for a better host.

The house is in Snowdonia. The space is cosy and homely. There were 5 of us and the space was very comfortable. Check in is easy as the key is left in a safe next to the front door. We stayed here for the WRC wales rally and location was good for that.

We had so much fun at the cabin, The whole place had more to offer than we ever thought! board games, TV, Showering facilities and a full range of kitchen facilities, fresh towels,bedding and toiletries we really felt at home. Location was perfect and 30 minutes away from multiple holiday resorts. the decking is west facing giving you a perfect sun trap all day. Weve made many memories staying here and will 100% come back.

Beautiful, scenic and home from home - what more could you want!. You can feel a real personal touch which makes it nice and cosy. Lots of great things to do in the area and nice and quiet in the winter!. So little light pollution that one night we were even able to see the milkyway.

The Log cabin is situated on a large site but in quite a remote area. You do need a car to get around. Louise has the cabin well stocked with lots of games, books and DVD's in the cabin if the weather is not good and it is a good place to see the stars at night.

This was our first airbnb stay and it was fab. Louise's cabin was everything we needed, comfortable, stylish, gorgeous deck just lovely. She made arriving and leaving super easy and left us really clear instructions for the cabin which were useful. We seriously underestimated the amount of stuff to do locally so we may be heading back soon! A few notes, the nearest supermarket is 25mins drive so if you plan to cook in the cabin stock up before you go, there is a shop on site which is as normal for these places slightly overpriced and a little sparse, good enough for milk and bread though. In terms of eating out there is one pub in walking distance which is ok, great views if you have the weather to sit outside but otherwise fairly average. Also the pics on the holiday parks own website make it seem like the cabins are really spread out. Don't get me wrong they're not crammed together but we had some particularly nosey neighbors so when we sat out on the terrace we felt very overlooked with them twitching their net curtains every 5 minutes. Otherwise a Fantastic trip, we didn't want to leave! Hopefully will be back soon x

Our stay in Wales was wonderful as was the accommodation. Everything that we needed was available at Louise's cabin and this helped to ensure that we had a relaxing break. Plenty to do in the surrounding area but for the most part we enjoyed the relaxation and opportunity to switch off that the cabin offered. Louise e-mailed beforehand to let us know that the cabin was ready for our visit and to make contact if we needed anything (which we didn't because everything was perfect).

Fantastic couple who are very friendly and hospitable. Great breakfast and service in a very comfortable lodge with amazing views from the breakfast table.

You won't regret booking with Mark and Sue. They're the ultimate hosts and their home is a spectacular base for seeing beautiful Snowdonia.

I loved my stay at Nant Dhu. Sue and Mark were great hosts; very friendly and highly knowledgeable about the local area. The room was newly finished so very clean and shiny, a comfy bed and plenty of space for my belongings. It's a lovely location which feels completely cut off from the real world. The view from the breakfast table is absolutely stunning- little lambs bouncing around on the hillside. There's homemade honey with breakfast. Homemade honey. I would definitely stay here again just for the amazing honey. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the world, I'd definitely visit again.

The room and all the house were clean, tidy, warm and cosy. We were really surprised that we can order a breakfast from a menu. The breakfast was delicious and is served in a dinning room that has a great view over the nearby fields and mountain. We have never been served such a breakfast when being on B & B! The nearby area was full of sheep and their little ones. We had lots of questions to the hosts about the way farming is done in the area. We were really surprised how naturally and organic things are organized. We learned a lot about the way sheep are grown, also we talked about bees. The honey that the hosts are producing has unbelievably delicious taste. The house itself is located in the middle of the mountain. We like mountains and we were very happy to find out that there are such a beautiful places in UK! We asked the hosts for directions to nearby interesting places to visit. Sue is very good at giving directions. She is making them with the exact distances and very good description of the points where you should change direction. Following her instructions we were able to find the house without any problem. When leaving, she gave us instructions how to reach Snowdon peak. We will definitely visit the area and the house again! Next time not only for one night, but for much more!

A fantastic location, we really enjoyed ourselves. Make sure to prepare your own bedding and towels if you're travelling through. Claire was a wonderful host, and provided us with guidance and insight into the area.

This is an amazing location for anyone who like a beautiful view and to be close to nature. The cabin is exactly as it looks in the photographs; clean, sleeps four adults easily, warm enough (with the log burner if needed). But for us where we slept was not our main reason for stopping here. The view from the cabin is fabulous! You look out across a lake and feel like there is no-one around for miles. My husband, whose face was a picture when we pulled up, immediately got out his binoculars and managed to see 41 different species of birds in the 18 hours we were there. The fire pit was such fun to sit around and we barbecued and toasted marshmallows to our hearts content. I don't like to return to places but this is one place I will be returning to without a doubt. Probably the most unique stay I've had. A 500 year old farmhouse in the middle of the mountains, it really was like going back in time! Not sure it quite what you'd want for a holiday but a good experience. The room was old, Welsh and quaint and the Jason the host was very accommodating. Bathroom was shared amongst others which was fine but not the cleanest. Back in time is all that comes to mind!!

This place is a little hidden away retreat with lots of surprises. It is surrounded by amazing views ( try and get there for sunset, the sun can be see setting on the sea and between the hills..). the farmhouse is very old with lots of history , with a open fire place and wooden beams in the ceiling. The Hosts have also got some interesting stories to tell about the history of this 16th century building , which make it even more interesting. Very comfortable . a experience that will stay with us.

Quiet, out of the way, and surprisingly warm on a cold night. Jason's spot is located on a beautiful farm in Wales, close to many outdoor attractions in Snowdonia. He was a great host, and the ancient home was awesome.

Our little annex was exactly what we needed: warm, private, comfy and cosy - I got a bit lost finding the place late at night, and a little muddy on the way up the drive, but that's to be expected in a little mountainside, countryside getaway. My dog was welcome and happy, and the room was lovely. Thank you so much, Jason!

Very central to all the attractions. Basic style but all you needed. Good shower, well equipped kitchen and enough space for the two of us and our two dogs. Parking was easy on the road out the front and dog walking straight from the house. Neighbourhood friendly and we had the best sunny weather. So a great little last minute trip away! Everything was neat and tidy when we entered. The place is warm and cosy and the house manual is detailed and helpful. We had a bit of trouble locating the house but managed to find it after asking some local people. It's a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it to other people.

Justin's home in Ffestiniog is warm and easy to manage. He has left plenty of instructions for using the larger appliances and electronics. We did not meet him, but he patiently answered all our questions promptly by email. The town itself is quintesentially Snowdonian and has gorgeous landscape views with minimal effort. Everything we needed was there, even a small shop just half a block away. Would definitely recommend!

The location is very good with nice views. It was easy to find parking space in front of the house. The house has everything you need and more (TV, games, washing and drying machine, toiletries, book with instructions...). It was carefully renovated and fully decorated.

The house was clean and rooms were comfortable too. We felt at home, we fully used the kitchen area too. We All loved our stay at the house and would definately book with Justin in the future.

Louise's house was perfectly clean, and so nicely decorated. Charming! We spent three nights in Snowdonia park and it was great to have a cozy place to rest each evening after all our hiking.

The cottage was fabulous and exactly what we needed for the weekend. It was cosy and comfortable with a lovely log burner and heaters which took the chill out of the evenings, and was beautifully decorated with elegant touches like quality sheets and furniture. The rooms are very generous- much bigger than we thought. It was clean and tidy with a large selection of books and DVDs to browse, and the kitchen had all modern conveniences. The location couldn't have been better- in the heart of stunning Snowdonia, just 3 miles or so from Blaenau FFestiniog and with a wide range of activities at Llechwedd slate caverns about 5 minutes drive away. Just around the corner from the cottage we found a general shop and had a lovely meal at the friendly Pengwern Arms. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Overall a good experience. The cottage was clean and comfortable, everything was in good conditions. You can feel at home after spending five minutes in it! Though the hosts are not there, they made it easy and simple for the guests to understand how everything works. We just had some problems finding some stuff but Louise answered our email really fast.

Very warm

The cottage was great. It has been decorated to a high standard and was spotless when we arrived. It is surprisingly large and comfortably slept all 5 of us which made it fantastic value. There is parking directly outside and I found it one of the few areas of our trip that we all had mobile signal. The cottage is situated in a small village within easy reach of everything we needed. Louise was very attentive and helpful from the moment we made are booking right through to leaving. I was particularly impressed with the house manual, It gave us detailed instruction on everything from turning the Now TV box on to starting the log fire. I have recommended the cottage to friends and family and would definitely stay again.

There were four of us (two couples) staying in the house in Ffestiniog. We booked very last minute and appreciate Louise for accommodating us. We didn't meet Louise in person but she was very responsive to our queries. The house itself was nice, it was cosy having a wood fire, and the rooms were nice. The situation with the electricity and hot water system were not the most straight forward but were fine once you understand how they work. The village was pretty and we enjoyed walking around- we would recommend the walk to the falls. Also a good base for visiting North Wales. There were lots of books and games, so imagine it would be great for families. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

A lovely well equipped cottage, ideal for a family weekend exploring Snowdonia. A great central location to use as a base for climbing both Snowdon and Cadair Idris. Nice and spacious inside, so unlike many character stone cottages of this type, was not bumping my head on low doors! Thanks for having us.

Pandy is a beautiful character cottage in gorgeous and peaceful Welsh countryside. It is a rural retreat in every sense - a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The cottage is well equipped and has lovely furniture and period features. Sitting by the log burner in the evening while enjoying the views of the local hills was a real treat. The cottage is handily placed for Snowdonia and the beautiful coastline of the Llyn Peninsula. But you don't really need to drive anywhere with scenic walks along the river right on your doorstep. Or just sit in the beautiful gardens and enjoy the fresh air! A stunning place to stay at any time of year. Niall is a great host and went out of his way to make sure everything was in place ahead of our trip. Questions were answered quickly and detailed instructions and directions to the cottage were provided. One of the best places on air bnb to stay in North Wales.

Pandy is a beautiful house in a gorgeous setting. We were so impressed with the house itself, which is stylishly decorated and has all mod-cons. It was also impeccably clean. The views from the house are breath-taking, particularly towards the mountains, and we felt so spoilt to have the river and many great walks right on the doorstep. The hosts were very quick to respond to queries and check-in was smooth. I wouldn't hesitate to book Pandy again for a stay in North Wales. Highly recommended.

The bell tent was kitted out simply but with everything we needed. Perfect location for exploring north Wales and enjoying beautiful scenery

Great picturesque and peaceful setting, facilities were clean, we hired the Bell tent which was cosy and had all you needed to cook for yourself and tea/coffee provided. Other reviews have commented about the road although the top field is by a road it is not a busy one so didn't disturb us at all. Great place I would recommend to friends!

We enjoyed our glamping trip. We had a poshest tent on site & lit up during the night time too. Very comfy beds, cooking hob and all pots available. Truly enjoyed our stay. We struggled for 2hrs finding the place since we didnt have a full postcode from airbnb. We couldnt reach site on the phone & we didnt have 3G to write airbnb messages. Host extremely quick to respond airbnb messages.

We had a such a great time! The tent as exactly as advertised and very clean. The site was well kept and the bathrooms in great working order. It was a beautiful stay. The close proximity to the road caused noises from the cars passing by and there were sheep calls frequently but nothing we couldn't sleep through. Plenty of room for activities, and bbq. Neighbouring visitors were very respectful of noise level. Close driving to all small towns, within 8 minutes of grocery store, beautiful walks in the area.

One of the best weekends we have ever had. The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Only a 30 min drive to snowdon mountain which was super convenient. The owners were helpful with everything- very accommodating. The tent also had everything one would need. (We did bring our own heater which was needed) We really have nothing negative to say. Scenery was breathtaking. Great great great weekend !

This is a lovely big tent and was fine for 4 of us. The beds were decent, easy access to electricity to use stove and kettle. All kitchen utensils were included. It rained a lot when we were there and there was no leaking at all. However, it did feel damp inside. Campsite is small and quiet. Simple check in process and easy stay overall.
