We really enjoyed our stay at Sue's, it is a lovely secluded spot with all comforts - Mark and Sue are excellent hosts and you'll feel very welcomed. To be noted that there is only a microwave for cooking so make sure you've eaten or you got something cooked already.

Sue and Mark were wonderful hosts, and the room we stayed in was very cosy and welcoming, surrounded by stunning wild hills and trees, there is a real sense of magic and peace that takes over you when you are here. Sue and Mark have a splice of paradise within the national park; it is lovely of them to share their space with others, and we cannot recommend it enough! Some of the quietest and darkest nights' sleep I have ever had, and a pleasure to wake up to the vista of wide open space and wildlife. A treat for any outdoorsy human-- I would certainly return :)

I could not recommend Sue and Mark’s little slice of Snowdonia heaven more highly. Attentive, discreet, quite rightly very proud of their creation and extremely stylish. Any writer, Thinker or person requiring headspace to clear the mind and think clearly could not wish for a better environment , views or hosts.

Beautiful, comfortable and great location. Great hosts and the accomodation exceeded all expectations. We stayed here in march and was very warm and cosy with the log burner inside and fire outside. A great expierence, would highly reccommend. Pro's - Great Location - Stunning countryside - The hut is right next to lake - Great hosts - Power USB and lights from solar panel - Provided Matresses - Very Clean - Lots to do like biking, boating, hiking etc - Not the usual Snowden business - The feeling of complete seclusion and privacy - Bathroom (with very good shower) and kitchen is a pro! We had an amazing stay at the cabin and enjoyed every second it was lovely and warm and facilities that made cooking very easy! Lovely, can’t wait to return!

Beautiful setting, the photos don’t do it justice. Loved the atmospheric nuclear power station too! The hut got warm with the fire on despite snow on the mountains outside, futons made a comfy bed and showers were warm. Claire was very welcoming and dinner suggestions were delicious! This stunning lodge is everything you could imagine and more. We had an excellent time and the view of the lake gave us the perfect quiet break. The cabin was equipped with comfy camp beds and even a place to charge phones, really thoughtful. Look forward to staying again.

A really really lovely trip. We endured storm Dennis and felt safe and secure in the cabin. Clare made sure we had everything we would possibly need and was a great host. We had a great trip and felt very welcome and would love to return, especially in the summer. Highly recommended.

Beautiful apartment , fantastic hosts, everything you need in a base to explore Snowdonia . A real gem of a place ( eat at the Grapes hotel if you want to eat out , just a tip 😉) will use again when we are next there .

This place is “wow”. Nicely decorated and very warm. You have a full kitchen with a shop about 10 minutes walk so no need to lug food around. You have private entrance, off road parking, WiFi, TV with sky, and the view when waking up is amazing! Very close to Snowdon so great for three peaks challenge. You need to stay for more then a day to appreciate the place.

Spacious, beautifully decorated apartment located at the lower level of the host's home. The area round is spectacular and the little kitty is super friendly. There are plenty amenities- towels, coffee, sugar a well stocked kitchen with utensils. We had a wonderful stay here

Very lovely place. Great point for tours in Snowdonia and very well equipped. It was quite complicated for us to find the place since we got there by night and navigation was bit difficult for us.

Nice comfortable spacious cabin, good location for Snowdonia (a must visit!) and Barmouth (another must visit!) and Portmeirion (definitely visit!). Easy access for car, onsite shop with guides and maps, nice and quiet, wifi and telly (but who goes on holiday to watch telly?), all the comforts of home right between gorgeous mountains and beaches. Will definitely be coming back!

Sue's log cabin has everything what you need to stay and enjoy mother nature. Quiet place, stunning views and is located nearly in the middle of Snowdonia, so it's close everywhere.

Isabel's is a great stay for a family weekend get-away. It's central to Snowdonia's wide open spaces, adrenaline activities at Zip World, various places to eat within 20mins drive. If it hadn't beed for the great guide books we wouldn't have ended up at Portmerion on a glorious Autumn weekend. The cottage is comfortable, warm and cosy. Isabel is helpful and patient at communicating to get the stay off to an easy start.

We were looking forward to a little break away in a cabin. We did not expect how perfect this place would be. Situated in the stunning surroundings of Snowdonia Nation Park, the log cabin was cosy, warm and beautifully presented with the fireplace turned on especially for our arrival time. Carol was an outstanding host, answering questions about the area before the stay and giving us thoughtful touches (as we were visiting for a birthday) and a care package upon arrival. We are already planning our return!

This is a lovely cabin situated in an outstanding area of natural beauty. Carol was an excellent host, fabulous communication and incredibly thoughtful. The cabin is very cosy with a lovely fire. It is a bit of a drive to nearby supermarkets so make sure you come prepared. The lake is stunning and so are the surrounding woods. A lovely rural bolt hole!

Carol is a super host! The directions given made it easy. Carol made sure the cabin was pre heated, left is a personal card and some basics for us to start our stay. It’s clean, tidy, the attention to detail,.... I truly recommend staying here. It’s everything you want for a time away.

Carol made our time here very special - gave us loads of finishing touches for one of our birthdays. The cabin is perfect and cosy - we wanted to stay a lot longer. Highly recommend! We will be back

Great host and beautiful cabin.

Carol’s place was perfectly cozy for two of us, we had a lovely stay. The host provided an abundance of snacks, fridge stocked with milk and butter, and a lovely bottle of red wine on our arrival. Thank you Carol for your thoughtful touches. There was no WiFi but we had data so no problem. Snowdonia is absolutely beautiful!

If you could give more then 5 stars I would have done. Every comment you read about Carol and her beautiful log cabin on here is true and more, could not believe the special touches. We gave stayed in a few cabins on this site so obviously we love the area however there will be only 1 cabin we will be booking with in future. Thank you Carol for providing us with beautiful accommodation and all those special extras, food, drink card etc xx

We loved our stay at Sue’s cabin. The surroundings were extremely beautiful and serene. The cabin was cute and cozy. All heaters worked really well. We had a tiny issue with the smoke-alarm when we were cooking, but Sue was very helpful over e-mail.

Fabulous setting and lovely cottage

The cottage is in a very beautiful location - a perfect base for hiking and cycling. We cooked our own dinner most days, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we might want. A really comfortable and cosy place to stay, even in late October. Would love to come back!

Lovely cozy cabin to stay away from the busy city. Easy to describe as your home away from home. We made all our meals with what’s provided in their kitchen. It was cold during the first few hours, but additional heaters were provided. We will definitely book this place again if going back to Wales.

Absolutely brilliant. Booked very late! Was a rush weekend away with the misses and we had a wonderful time. Place was easy to find and let our selves in. The cabin is very nicely sorted with everything you need and it plenty warm enough. Great little book inside with lots of local attractions. Coming from a City, this was a nice relaxing get away!

The cabin is a perfect place to stay at in Snowdonia. Communication with the host was quick and clear, Andy has answered all my questions promptly and sent additional information by email with all details we needed for our stay. The cabin is well equipped, has a good size bathroom and spacious main room with the kitchen. We had to take our own bed linen and towels, but Andy has informed us about this in advance, so it was absolutely fine. I definitely recommend this place if you are planning to visit North Wales!

A beautiful location, with incredible views that stretch on for miles and miles. Despite being in a holiday village you feel right in the middle of nature, I think the local birds and other wildlife help with that. The log cabin has everything you need and the owners have kindly supplied a pretty varied selection of dvds in case you want to spend some time relaxing inside. For my partner and I, this log cabin facilitated the perfect getaway and I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Perfect cosy cabin in the heart of Snowdonia, just what we were looking for! Short driving distance to small villages with nice pubs. Close by to various places of interest. We visited Portmeirion, walking trails, and Mount Snowdon during our 2 night stay. The cabin is equipped with pretty much everything you need and more! Communication with the hosts was great beforehand. We loved our stay!

A lovely cottage in the middle of picturesque fields. We had a trip to Portmerion and went mountain bike cycling at the snowdon national park. There is also a slate mine a short walk away.

Very basic place in a great location. You basically get what you pay for. The check out was at 10AM, which didn't allow us to rest properly on Sunday. Decent place if you want to go on the cheap.

Wonderful stay. Ideal location to explore beautiful snowdonia and only a 45 minute drive from mount Snowdon. Very spacious house, fit 6 of us comfortably. Great value for money.

Hugh's place is situated in a nice and cosy area near Porthmadog which is conveniently near the National Parks' trail. The house itself is spacious, clean and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Will defo book again if we return to Porthmadog :)

Hugh's place is a lovely cottage, a good place to stay when holidaying around Snowdonia. It has everything needed in the kitchen (well stocked with dishes, pots pans, cutlery, etc.) and rooms are very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nice place. Near a nice, small town (15 minutes south). Cottage itself was clean and secure, if a little cold (it was quite cold out, so this is to be expected). Space heaters and an extra blanket did the trick!

A beautiful cabin in the middle of the mountains. The cabin is spacious, clean and comfortable. Chelsea responded to messages straight away both before arrival and during our stay. The area is beyond beautiful! Lots of windy roads but are all well signposted. We would definitely come back again!

Perfect little cabin for four people. Excellent location with views in Snowdonia. Steve is a very thoughtful host who left the place very clean and stocked with all the basics (milk, sugar, salt, spices) and much more. Upon arrival we were greeted with a candle and bottle of wine with four glasses. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a base in Snowdonia. And I would recommend to Steve that he double his prices!!

Me and my family stayed at this cabin for school break and we absolutely loved it. Located in the quiet lodge park with everything you need for a peaceful break. The house was clean and so cozy. We were very lucky with the weather, it was sunny all three days in a row, and kids played in the huge playground one minute walk from our cabin. Really enjoyed spending evenings on the sofa and watch TV or read books with the glass of wine. We would definitely recommend it to others. The scenery of the mountains nearby is stunning! Could not get my eyes off them while driving through them. Also, there is a nearby town (Dolgellau) which has Huge Co-Op supermarket, nice restaurants and bars. It’s only 17 minutes drive from the lodge park. I will definitely come back there again one day!

Lovely cosy cabin in the perfect location. Close to great waterfall walks, beaches and towns. Absolutely pitch black at night! The Stars were amazing! All rooms clean and beds are comfortable 😊 bathroom and shower were great. Kitchen also really clean and plenty of utensils. Will be coming back for sure!

This is an awesome place out in the northern welsh countryside. This forest lodge is practically off the grid without sacrificing on modern conveniences. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some nature, peace and quiet. A great value for money too!

Absolutely beautiful stay. Lovely setting. After breakfast we sat outside with a cup of coffee looking out at the outstanding view and watching the birds, chickens and geese. Mark and Sue made us feel really at home. Really convenient for the white water centre. Would definitely stay again.

Sue and Mark offer a peaceful and idyllic stay off the beaten track and are wonderful hosts. The bedroom was very comfortable and met our needs. The lounge overlooks the hills and you can see birds feeding at the bird table outside of the window. Breakfast was superb! a great choice on offer. We loved our previous stay and enjoyed this one just as much.

Great place to stay in for a trip to North Wales- good location not too far from the main points of interest. Very helpful hosts providing tips and directions allong with a hearty breakfast. Also particular helpful getting us out of the car park when surrounded by sheep! 🐑🐑🐑

Sue and Mark have a wonderful lodge in an unique location, where you can disconnect from the modern life. The surroundings are stunning especially on a sunny day. They will give you directions to get anywhere, it's amazing! The place is very clean and you'll have everything you might need, including a fresh and delicious breakfast cooked by them! This is one of the most special Airbnbs I've stayed at. The location is stunning and it provides a perfect cosy place to disconnect and enjoy some walks straight out the front door. Sue and Mark were wonderful hosts, being both warm and friendly whilst still proving guests their own space to enjoy the peace and quiet of the setting. You won't miss the WiFi, just take a good book and enjoy. I hope to return and introduce others to hidden gem!

What an incredible weekend away and we're delighted that we chose this cabin... It's clean, quirky, had games and DVD's, and all the amenities we needed. Even though the weather was cold, the cabin was cosy at night with heaters on, blinds down and lamps on 💕 The stars at night were awesome! Just a perfect family getaway... So peaceful.

Great cabin! We had a wonderful weekend of walking so was nice to come back to somewhere cosy & warm. Louise responded very quickly with some great recommendations including the Precipice Walk in Dolgellau - beautiful autumnal colours! Would definitely come back again.

Had a fabulous few days at Bryan Gwyn. Clare and Gwyn were fantastic hosts and very welcoming. Travelling in storm Dennis we were very appreciative of the fires being lite for our arrival and the 5 children we had with us loved sleeping in the upstairs space at the top of the house. It is an ideal house for families and dogs that like the outdoors....... we will be back for more blustery adventures and nights in around the fire 🔥

The listing really does not do this place justice. 8 of us stayed here, 4 couples and we were delighted with the beautiful house - from the well equipped kitchen, the games (dining) table and the comfy beds. Clare and Bryn were lovely hosts and made everything really easy. The house is full of character and family mementos and was just a lovely, welcoming place to stay. We walked alpacas on a local farm, walked around the reservoir, climbed Snowdon, visited Harlech castle and beach, and visited black rock sands - in short, it was the perfect house in the perfect location and we hope to return again. Thank you!

The stay was extremely fun, great value for money. Superb location, 50min drive to snowdon, 20/30 to everything else which was great! The location served us well as a couple, definitely a great retreat. Would recommend for families too. The lodge had some great touches which were very appreciated!

Perfect location, quiet and cosy. Had a wonderful stay, climbed Snowdon, did lots of exploring and had a lovely, quiet place to head back to and recharge! Have returned home much more relaxed!

Fantastic lodge in Snowdonia! Immaculately clean and extremely cosy and warm, it was a lovely post Xmas break in north wales. Suzanne was a great host, really clear and prompt communications, could not have been more helpful! We would definitely return x

This is situated in a quiet and great location close to fantastic beautiful surroundings. In addition the chalet is right next to the children’s play area of the park so great for the kids to run off and play for a bit. The main room of the chalet is cosy and modern. Bedrooms are a little on small size but more than adequate. Dog friendly too as most places seem to be in Wales even though we didn’t have a dog!

The cabin definitely outweighed our expectations, it was lovely and clean, cosy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful holiday in Wales. We especially loved the little extra touches like the welcome package and tips on places to go and visit

This is a great cabin and is in a nice quiet serene area. I loved how it looked and that the cabin had amenities for dogs! It was a decent distance from mount snowdon so great for hiking. Beware if you plan to drink, everywhere you need to go needs to be driven to Haha, we ended up just cooking food in a couple of nights.

Suzanne’s place far exceeded our expectations. On arrival Suzanne gave us early checkin and a welcome package - which consisted of breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, milk and welsh scones. The lodge itself is very clean and peaceful. It is about a 30 minute drive from Porthmadog and about 45 from a good starting route to climb Snowdon. It is hooked up with Sky so we managed to watch Game of Thrones as well! A rare, peaceful gem. We hope to return in the future!

Lovely cabin in an ideal location that allows easy access to explore. Kids loved it and grandparents shattered after a few days of exploring. Would love to go back.

The cabin was absolutely immaculate, fantastic location,everuthing you cpuld want was there and some great places to eat locally too. Highly recommend a stay, we will definately use again.
