Places to stay in Scotland
Oak panelled walls, wooden window shutters, and warm parquet floors surround you. Choose from hundreds of books and read in a secret bed box behind floor-to-ceiling shelves. Family portraits and heirlooms happily coexist with works of modern art.
Romantic and stylish apartment, It's the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh from. I've already had some great people come and stay, so I welcome you to my home. Edinburgh castle is a short walk away from the apartment, and the National Gallery, St Giles Cathedral, National Museum of Scotland are all close by. My apartment is on the fourth floor of an 18th Century tenement with views on to the historic Royal Mile. With all mod cons and a unique location, this is the perfect apartment to have as a base while you explore Edinburgh. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak panelled walls and parquet flooring, mixed with family portraits, antiques and works of art, but also all the modern comforts of a home. It is on the fourth floor and is reached by a spiral staircase (76 steps in all!) For our American cousins that's a walkup :-) There is no elevator. The apartment is South facing and full of light by day. The hall has a cupboard to hang clothes/store shoes etc. There is also an ironing board/iron and a hair dryer kept here as well. The bathroom has a bath and a shower, there is always hot water and plenty of towels for you to have. Then through the main door off the hall, is the open plan living space. Five full height original Georgian sash windows face you as you walk into the space. Floor to ceiling book cases and a large period fireplace with French empire over-mantle mirror. There is free wifi throughout the apartment, also a big collection of fiction/history/cookery/poetry/art/design books to while away the time with and I have a music/radio player with an eclectic choice of C.Ds. Plus cards and board games. A large kitchen space with character and all the modern cons - toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, induction hob etc. However I don't own a microwave. There is a washing machine and there is washing liquid capsules for it under the sink, just put one of these inside the washing machine drum and close the door and turn to what ever setting you want. I do not have a dryer (it's not that typical here in Scotland/Europe) what I do have is a clothes horses which you can hang your clothes on. Their kept folded up in the hall cupboard. I hate staying in apartments on holiday where there aren't even any basics to cook with like salt and olive oil, so the kitchen is stocked with all the usual larder fare to help yourself to if you're cooking in. Plus coffee and all sorts of teas. I also have an honesty bar if you want to finish off with a drink or two after a long day of walking around town. By the windows is the generous dining space with oak dinning table and six chairs. The bed is a unique 'bedbox chamber' made from architectural salvaged fitted Scottish 18th/19th century carved oak. A floor to ceiling hidden panelled door lets you into this cosy space with reading lights on the headboard and it is fitted out with a British king size mattress - width 150cm and length 200cm, white cotton sheets, pillows and duvet. Mary Queen of Scots would feel quite at home sleeping in it! The living room area of the apartment is tucked at the West side of the room and has two good size sofas, reading lamps and is perfect to socialize in and also have quiet time with a good book. I hope to hear from you. I'm more than happy to answer any questions or give advice about Edinburgh/restaurants/bars etc All the best Calim
Edinburgh is beautiful and historic. This apartment is in the oldest part of the city, close to the castle. Museums, restaurants, and good coffee shops are really close by, as are the train station and airport links.
  • Staying here was a dream! I had everything I needed and Calim was super friendly and helpful. The highlight of my stay had to be those windows and the glooorious morning light - especially when the light shone through the chandelier and the room was filled with baby rainbows! I felt so comfortable here and would stay again in a heartbeat.

  • I had a wonderful few days stay at Calim's place; it truly felt like a home from home. Centrally located, comfortable, beautifully decorated with small touches and kindnesses that really lifted this above your average rental. His recommendations for places to visit, eat and drink, or just take in the atmosphere helped make sure that my first trip to Edinburgh definitely won't be my last.

  • Absolutely amazing stay, like stepping back through time! Fantastic location and the decor was amazing. So much attention to detail and so many thoughtful extra touches! We will 100% be back!

  • My favorite place I’ve stayed with Airbnb so far! The entire apartment was full of charm and character. Such thoughtful details, easy communication and beautiful location. Loved watching snow fall over Royal Mile from the warmth of the cozy couch with a book in hand! Calim was an amazing host and made everything super easy.

  • The apartment is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly want or need! Calim is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome and looked after. I am so looking forward to visiting Edinburgh and staying in this apartment again in the future. Highly recommend!

  • Everything about our stay at Calim’s dreamy place was exceptional. He has gone above and beyond to consider all the details to make sure your stay is perfect- before and during you’re stay. I loved opening my eyes each morning to the magnificent paintings, the chandelier and the sounds of bag pipes from the street. Hours passed one evening whilst flicking through Calim’s vast bookshelves with the Robert’s radio going in the background. Just perfect.

    Lydia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This space could be your vacation! Arrive - make a wonderful coffee or pour a glass of wine - curl up in one of the two beautiful couches... and choose a book or many! The view from the multiple windows is stunning! And the artwork! This apartment rises to the top of my list as one of the most inspiring spaces I have stayed in! It is stunning! Location could not be better - Edinburgh is a beautiful city and will be right out your doorstep if you are lucky enough to stay here! Enjoy!

  • Incredible stay in the heart of the Royal Mile. Calim went above and beyond to make my three days in Edinburgh comfortable and secure -- including some fantastic recommendations of local eateries and attractions. Cannot recommend highly enough!

A cosy bright apartment, centrally located in the heart of old historic Edinburgh beneath the castle. All the main tourist and festival attractions are within walking distance: the Castle, the Royal Mile, National Museum, National Gallery, Princes street and much more. Free wi-fi is available.
The apartment is in a fabulous central location just up from the vibrant Grassmarket. There is no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. During the festival and Hogmanay you may hear the military tattoo and fireworks as well as see them! The apartment is accessed on street level through a secure gate with just a few steps up onto the balcony landing from where you gain entry. Perfect for 2 but can accommodate 4 with the double sofa bed in the lounge. There is also a single fold out bed. The apartment would be an ideal base for a city break, family fun or a romantic getaway as well as the business traveller. The lounge is bright and airy with a sofa bed and two armchairs, a small dining table and seating for four ( more fold away chairs are in a cupboard). There is a flat screen TV with freeview and built in DVD player as well as CD player. Free wi-fi. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk is provided to help you settle in. Directly opposite the apartment there is a friendly breakfast cafe that also serves delicious lunches and teas. There is parking in metered pay bays close to the apartment and they are free from 18.30 each night until 08.30 in the morning and from 18.30 on Saturday night through to 08.00 Monday morning. During the day you can pay to park in these bays (free Sunday) or use the multi story car park nearby on Castle Terrace/King Stables Road. The Grassmarket is in the historic centre of Edinburgh and is home to numerous bistros, cafes, Scottish pubs and specialist shops selling antiques, books, cashmere, clothes and much more. Restaurants in the pedestrianised areas allow for al fresco eating and drinking within the proximity of the castle with festival and tourist venues all around. The area is steeped in history. Public hangings were held here and it was the haunting ground of the famous body snatchers Burke and Hare. During the summer the place comes alive with street performers, musicians and special events. A quick stroll will take you up to the Royal Mile and the Castle or along to Princes street through its lovely gardens. Other places within walking distance: Whisky Heritage Centre Camera Obscura Gladstones Land National Museum of Scotland Holyrood Palace National Galleries Usher Hall Traverse Theatre Royal Lyceum Festival Hub Fringe Box Office Check in is from 3pm but where work commitments and other bookings allow earlier times may be possible.
The apartment is situated in The Old Town and is a great base from which to explore its historic streets.
  • Cannot rate this place highly enough. Located in the Grassmarket, 5 mins walk from everywhere, but in a lovely, quiet off-road location. Charlotte was a superb host and left some very welcome touches such as fresh bread, eggs and milk. The apartment itself has everything you need, is cosy, warm and super comfortable, with the most incredible view of the castle. We will certainly be back.

AirShip 2 is an iconic, insulated aluminum pod designed by Roderick James with views of the Sound of Mull from dragonfly windows. Airship002 is comfortable, quirky and cool. It does not pretend to be a five star hotel. The reviews tell the story.
The kitchen has a toaster, electric kettle, tefal halogen hob, combination oven/microwave. All pots and pans, plates, glasses ,cutlery provided. All you will need to bring is your food. worth stocking up on your way in as Lochaline is the nearest place to shop which is 8 miles away.
The AirShip is situated in a beautiful, secluded position on a four-acre site. Stunning views reach across the Sound of Mull towards Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and out to sea toward Ardnamurchan Point.

  • The Airship 002 is everything the photos portray it to be. We happened to stay there a stormy weekend in February and were more than happy to hibernate in such a beautiful place. The windows really make you feel like you’re in the landscape and every aspect of the design works seamlessly. I’d recommend it to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat.

Authentic medieval mini castle with roaring log fires and all modern comforts. In beautiful countryside on the River Tweed. Ideal for exploring the Scottish Borders. Biking at Glentress 5 minutes; Edinburgh 45 minutes; Peebles nearby. Heavenly walks.
Enjoy staying in a cosy, romantic miniature castle with all the luxuries of the 21st century. There is a luxurious double bed on the top floor and a possible 2 extra single beds in the Sitting Room.
The rolling hills and romantic valleys of Peebleshire are some of the loveliest in the land. World class Glentress is nearby for keen mountain bikers and Peebles is full of charm, with an award winning chocolatier and plenty of interesting shops.
  • Well, how to begin! Barns Tower is amazing! The history is well worth reading, as well. The place is exceptionally clean and tidy. What a wonderful experience to stay in such an old building with so much character. The personal touches - bread, milk, eggs, butter, cereal, and fruit were so nice to have. For us, the location was perfect as we hiked the Tweed Path and other areas in and around Peebles. A definite "must stay" when visiting the area. Even if you are not, it would be worth going out of your way to stay in this incredible place. Thank you, Lulu! We absolutely loved your place...

    Catherine2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wee treasure. We had a wonderful time and loved the environment with the river and abandonned railway. The castle was very clean and comfortable.

  • Everything was perfect: a warm welcome with touches of attention, perfectly clean places, heated rooms, complete kitchen equipment, sufficient bathroom linen, etc. It was a magical stay in a tower steeped in history in the Scottish countryside. The walks in the surrounding countryside are superb: fields, woods and river ... and Lulu offered us a private tour of the Neidpath Castle: exceptional! One of our best AirBNB experiences

    Fabienne2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic castle! Absolutely brilliant! Lovingly restored to an exceptional standard, warm and cosy - you'll not want to leave!

    Justyn2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing find! A gorgeous ‘castle’ set on the grounds with other properties, we felt incredibly grand entering to stay. The gate and door were so much fun and the history of the castle was explained once inside. Impeccably clean and great cooking facilities, this cosy accommodation is a must stay and with the novelty of the spiral staircase, spacious rooms and considerate additions of food in the fridge, it was certainly hard to leave after our three nights.

    Madeleine2020-01-07T00:00:00Z

The hosts were welcoming and had prepared instructions and handy tips for every event making the stay very easy. The location is ideal for walking and exploring ! Will definitely be returning :)

    Amy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at the Bothy was truly a wonderful. Beautifully situated in woods surrounded by the sounds of nature. It was a perfect time to switch off. Merlin et al made for the perfect hosts - warm, informative and responsive. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower (exhilarating!!), burning the log fire, and the morning birds! I will certainly be returning, and highly recommend this experience!

  • Second visit to the bothy and it was just as relaxing as the first visit. It’s a perfect environment to switch off and forget the rest of the world. Especially useful on Friday 31st Jan @11pm.... 🙃 the space was perfect and it’s something I recommend everyone visit. I convinced my partner to use the outside shower and she loved it. Success!

The apartment is very cosy, calm and close to the city centre. With it's simple interior and beautiful views of the courtyard, it is the perfect location to really experience Edinburgh and it's history
Dean Village is a tourist attraction in itself, a hidden village within the busy city of Edinburgh. It contains a mixture of 16th, 17th and 18th century architecture and is the perfect place to find peace while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. It is also close to the Water of Leith which you can walk along, enjoying nature and guiding you to the nearby bars, shops and cafes located in Stockbridge.

  • We spent two nights in the treehouse and loved every minute of it. Despite menacing weather from Storm Dennis, we still managed to have the log burner on both nights for a few hours and enjoyed the lovely tranquil surroundings. The treehouse has everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, the space was very clean, breakfast was perfect and the personal touches made it special. We walked to Drymen on our first day and had a great lunch at the Clachan Inn. Thanks Katrina, we’ll be back.

Welcome HOME! This is a double room (ensuite toilet & shower) in a 2 bedroom apartment. Guests have access to well-equipped kitchen and specious living room. Location is Centre of Glasgow. Only 10 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station, across river Clyde. Easy access by bus, subway and trains. Area is residential, quiet and safe. Grocery store and supermarket right outside the building. Secure underground basement car park on property, available for free on request.
The apartment is located on the south side of the river in an area zoned for development and is linked to the city centre via the 'Tradeston Bridge'. The apartment block is relatively new and in a quiet area despite being very close to all main transport links. 'Glasgow Central Station' is about 10 minutes walk over the River Clyde. 'Buchanan Bus Station' is about 20 minutes walk. Entertainment complex 'Springfield Quay', aka "The Quay” is five minutes away on the riverside. The Buchanan Street, the street with shops and tourist attractions is 10 minutes away or you can take the bus or Glasgow Subway (underground) to visit landmarks like the Kelvingrove Art Galleries, the Botanic Gardens in the West End or historic Glasgow Green and the nearby Merchant City.
  • Amazing host, amazing place. Loved everything about my experience here. Really hope to stay here again whenever I'm in Glasgow. Everything is as advertised and the reviews I read were accurate.

  • Fabulous place in easy reach of the centre. Ryan couldn’t have been more helpful. Definitely recommend.

  • A nice clean and spacious room, very comfy bed and good ensuite with a nice shower. The room faced a quiet inner courtyard. The other guest was very quiet so didn't disturb us at all. It was nice to have so many thoughtful touches included, like a hairdryer, lots of info about Glasgow, and cereals and toast for breakfast. Ryan was really friendly and waited to meet us even though we didnt arrive until around 1030.

    Owen2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly, clean, 10minutes by feet to center of Glasgow. Ryan took much time to explain many things. I will recommend it!

    Dieter2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan was an extremely welcoming and informative host. Responses from him were really quick. Ryan's place was very clean and as described. Check in was easy and quick - I cannot find fault! Ryan's place was more than accommodating, will stay again.

Right next to the shore - along which you can walk to the local Inn. Simple, spacious and basic. This bothy is our former home decluttered. One large, light open-plan room. Small range & wood-burner provides heating and hot water. Composting toilet.
This is an old stone building with a more recent stone end built by my brother Donald Icky Maclachlan - stonemason. It is very basic but it does have double glazing. The track down into the bay at Camuslusta is very steep. Although some people can find this a bit daunting, the track has a fairly good surface and all the residents of Camuslusta drive normal cars up and down it daily. The front door of the bothy practically opens onto the beach. Although the track to our house runs between the bothy and the shore. You can watch the gannets, gulls, herons, oyster-catchers, seals and occasionally an otter from the front door or through the windows. With views over to the uninhabited headland opposite, out to the little islands at the head of the bay, or of the shipping crossing the Minch between us and the Outer Isles. The bothy has one large, light and spacious, open-plan living, kitchen, sleeping room. The bothy offers flexible sleeping arrangements - there is a double bed and also a 1930's sofa bed which is probably not that comfortable. Depending on what is required - I can also make up another single bed or another double. Get in touch if you would like to have the sofabed and the two double beds - this is possible. The kitchen is very basic. One step up from camping - it's inside, and there's a sink and a fridge. It has a small wood-burning range which heats the water and also two-ring gas stove for quick cooking. The bothy has basics like an electric kettle, electric toaster, pans, plates glasses and cutlery. We provide basics like milk, oatmeal for porridge (and a recipe), tea, coffee, olive oil for cooking, salt, pepper. At the moment - guests can use the bathroom in our house for a shower. We have towels - not necessarily the fluffiest ever, but fine. As guests you will have the option of using a simple composting toilet outside (until the new grander composting toilet is built) or the toilet in the house. Our house is a short distance along the track and the bathroom is in the extension by the front door. There is a telly but it only plays videos. There are a few videos in the cupboard - a small but varied collection. Do not expect this bothy to be immaculate - it is a more than a little worn around the edges - but it is a beautiful space in an amazing spot.
The view changes with the weather - very atmospheric moody windy wild wet days and then you wake up to the clear beauty of a sunny day - looking across the still loch to the unpopulated peninsula opposite. Just step outside and you can wander along the shore towards the village, to the pub (the Stein Inn) or the small craft shop. You can book a boat trip out from the jetty at Stein. Stein is roughly a twenty minute walk. Or you can walk the other way to find some peace and quiet. The Stein Inn serves food and there is also a small seafood restaurant (for which you probably need to book) - if walking to Stein, you can also walk around the road, which takes a bit longer. Or you can drive.
  • Brilliant hosts and beautiful location. A dream trip for both of us

    Ruairi2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Brigid place is a little touch of Heaven. It’s locked away in a quiet wee corner of Skye and if you want absolute peace and quiet, Go There! Brigid is a fantastic host who explains everything then leaves you to get on with your stay, but if you need anything, she’ll definitely help you without hesitation. A true gem of a find.

    David2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant Bothy that’ll give you that calm Skye experience without going full on camping! Would definitely recommend and Brigid is super helpful !

    Nick2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect wee spot right by the ocean for a quiet and very affordable break away, close to Portree for all the main shops and supplies if needed too. Great host that was a lot of help and also very generous with help and advice, well worth listening too. Would have already booked another trip if it wasn’t so far booked up lol, honestly didn’t want to leave. Great place

    David2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Hello, not amazing views. Very nice atmosphere. Brigid very helpful. I would definitely recommend.

    Ewa2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the Bothy. The location was perfect, cozy, relaxing and just what we needed. Thanks to Bridgid for being such a Great host. Would definitely recommend and stay at this location again.

    Roxanne2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The wee bothy has what you need. We were only there 2 nights, which was a pity, could happily stayed for longer. The views are simply amazing! Brigid was great, maintained contact throughout and advised beforehand that there was a slight issue with the track, but it wasn’t an issue for us. We will return to Skye for sure and would happily stay here again :)

    Laura2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Brigid is a guest at the smallest care for his guests and very accommodating. It's a perfect accommodation to relax and enjoy this beautiful nature. I recommend !

  • Amazing cottage for a lovely couples getaway! Didn’t realise how close the river was behind, stunning walks right on your doorstep here. Local corner shop 50 yards away was convenient, and Carlisle restaurants aren’t far away at all. Can’t fault anything about this place.

Sit outside watching the waves with a cosy fire on chilly evenings. Climb the oak library ladder and drift off to sleep to the sound of the sea. Curl up next to the log burner with a good book, or stroll along the beach to spot seabirds and seals.
A welcoming and cosy atmosphere awaits, with a log burning stove, tasteful and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen area is well equipped with 2 burner induction hob, combi microwave oven for baking, cooking and grilling and under counter fridge/freezer. Eat at the dining table which seats four while enjoying the sea view. The comfortable king size bed is on the mezzanine level accessed by a library ladder which conveniently slides away when not in use. There is a spacious shower room with heated towel rail and sliding oak barn door. Fast WiFi, Bluetooth speaker and digital radio included. Outside, the private terrace has comfortable reclining chairs, a dining set, bbq and fire pit and of course the stunning view! The cottage sits in the large garden of the main house which is divided into upper and lower apartments. The lower flat is listed on airbnb as Beach Cottage. Both properties have separate street and beach access and the right side of the garden is for the use of the lower flat while the left is for the Weaver’s Cottage. There is a shared utility shed with washing machine and dryer.
Explore the beaches and coastal path and breathe the fresh, salty air. The adventurous can try the chain walk en route to Elie, or take the coastal path, have lunch at the 19th Hole pub, and get the bus back. Climb Largo Law for some stunning views.

This is such a great little find, from cuddling up in front of the fire to watching beautiful sunrises from the bottom of your own wee garden as the waves crash against the shore you even have your own private gate onto the beach. • Zoe and Stephen are great hosts. They allow you to relax and enjoy your stay without bombarding you with loads of really particular rules while at their place. Also, their communication is great, they respond quickly and are readily available should you need anything. As for the place itself, it sits in a quiet part of the city, though plenty of independent restaurants as well as a supermarket are just a stones throw away.

Gaze out across the rooftops from this bright upstairs flat. The space features a unique mix of antique and modern furnishings, an open-plan living area, a large skylight, a cosy minimalist kitchen, and pops of colour throughout.
My apartment is on the top floor of an 18th Century tenement. With all mod cons and a unique location, this is the perfect apartment to have as a base while you explore Edinburgh. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak parquet flooring, wooden window shutters in the bedroom and a mix of contemporary and antique furniture throughout. It is on the fifth floor and is reached by a spiral turnpike staircase (102 steps in all!) For our American cousins that's a walkup :-) There is NO LIFT/ELEVATOR so if you have very large/heavy luggage or struggle with stairs this isn't the place for you to stay and I'd advise booking a ground floor apartment. Edinburgh in general, never caught up with installing lifts in its buildings. The apartment is at the end of the row and South facing, so gets lots of light throughout the day. The apartment has cupboard space for your luggage and places to hang clothes/store shoes etc. There is also an ironing board/iron. The bathroom has a shower, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/toothpaste. There is always plenty of towels for you to have. The hairdryer is kept in the cupboard under the sink. I don't own a TV.... but there is free wifi throughout the apartment. I've a big collection of fiction/history/cookery/poetry/art/photography books to while away the time with. I also have a music/radio player with an eclectic choice of C.Ds. Plus cards and board games. A large kitchen space with character and all the modern cons - toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, induction hob etc. There is no microwave. There is a washing machine and there is washing liquid capsules for it under the sink, just put one of these inside the washing machine drum and close the door and turn to what ever setting you want. I do not have a dryer (it's not that typical here in Scotland/Europe) what I do have is a clothes horse which you can hang your clothes on. It's kept folded up in the hall cupboard. I hate staying in apartments on holiday where there aren't even any basics to cook with like salt and olive oil, so the kitchen is stocked with all the usual larder fare to help yourself to if you're cooking in. Plus coffee and all sorts of teas. There is a dinning table and chairs. The bedroom is tucked off the hall and has reading lights and a comfortable British king size mattress width 150cm X length 200cm, with white cotton sheets, pillows and duvet. The living room area of the apartment is at the front with lots of light and a good view of the Old College dome. • Look no more. This is THE place.

  • It was a beautiful apartment in a very central location. The apartment was very clean and tidy, it had great decor and many thoughtful touches. I would happily return in the future.

  • A gem of an apartment, perfectly positioned to explore the beautiful Edinburgh. Calim couldn’t have been a more thoughtful and accommodating host for our stay, with the most amazing final touches. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable and cosy place to chill out after a long day exploring!

  • Hosts don’t get better than Calim and I’m yet to find a more comfortable and stylish apartment to stay in. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again.

    Anna2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure for us to live there. It was clean, well furnished and there have never been so many extras anywhere else. Just a great host. We would come back anytime if we were allowed to.

    Felix2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best Airbnb I have stayed in. The location was perfect and the decor within the home was beautiful, stylish, and comfortable. But what really made this Airbnb so special was the extra accommodations Calim made as a host. When bad weather was on the horizon before my trip, Calim called me to let me know of any potential train cancellations and offered to postpone my stay in Edinburgh. He even found me places around London that I could lodge in for one more evening due to the last minute weather crisis. Then when I actually arrived the next day, Calim had shortbread prepared for me and opera playing on the stereo. He was also available whenever I had any questions about the city — whether it be food or activity recommendations as well as general city questions. Truly an amazing host and would absolutely stay in this place again.

    Claire2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic apartment in such a great location. The apartment is incredibly decorated with a lot of thoughtful touches provided by Calim. We will definitely be back!

  • Vicki and daisy are amazing hosts and their place is just perfect. It’s by far the best air b&b I’ve stayed in. The location is ideal to discover the region: lochs, mountains, rivers... and Glasgow is not very far. Vicki has turned the old mill cottage into a cosy, high-standard place with every attention you need.

    Céline2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic stay at the Old Mill cottage. Vicki is the perfect host and her house is warm and welcoming, we really felt at home. Vicki gave us great tips on where to explore and places to eat. The cottage is set in a great location with plenty to do and see nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.! Thanks again Vicki

    Judith2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki provides excellent instructions on how to get to her home so, if you're thinking about just using a map - don't! It is very easy to find if you follow her directions. Once I arrived she was there to greet me and show me around her home, which is breathtaking! The bedroom was super cozy and warm with plenty of hot water bottles if needed. She also put a pitcher of water and glass by the bed, which was lovely. The common area has a lot of natural light and warm blankets to curl up on a couch with. The deck was very spacious with great seating opportunities and the sound of the creek is wonderful. The bathroom was incredible. I loved the size of the tub and the soaps she provided. I enjoyed a nice cup of tea in the bath after getting back from a long day out. Vicki's daughter is great. She's very talkative and funny and you can tell she's grown up interacting with many guests in her home. The cat is very sweet and fluffy. They also have chickens and a cockerel, which I loved. I only stayed one night and woke up to breakfast on the kitchen counter. There was plenty of options and it was such a grand touch not having to leave to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend a stay at Vicki's place if you're looking to explore Loch Lommond, or even just looking to get away. The home and the home's family are wonderful!

Perfect seclusion for self-isolation. Big reductions for longer bookings. Serene rustic-chic. Heated floors. Stunning, quirky & sophisticated. Quietly thrilling. Tiny bedroom in tower with double bed & garden view. Pull-out sofa-bed downstairs (115cms w. mattress). Ground-floor bathroom. Bespoke kitchen beneath mezzanine. Lit cavern under sturdy glass floor-panel. Tranquil private scented garden terrace. Skillfully designed, this is a bright captivating treasure. Central heating. Wood-burner. Free parking.
This small stone cottage, that was once a home for pigeons, is self-contained. It is historically fascinating and architecturally intriguing with stone doorways, beautiful old wood beams and wooden steps. Within an extensive mature walled garden, a stone path leads under a rose-arch to the quaint 1600s cottage. A glass front door opens into an enchanting calm atmosphere. Beneath part of the floor, under sturdy glass, an ancient vaulted cavern can be glimpsed below. Above, in the tower, is a tiny loft bedroom with a double bed, Egyptian cotton sheets, and a window overlooking the private garden. Illuminated ancient nesting boxes line the walls. It is quiet. Next, on the ground floor, is a bright sitting/ dining room with original stone walls, a high ceiling and skylights. Beneath a small mezzanine is the neat bespoke L-shaped kitchen, rustic-style, with a fridge, 2-ring gas hob, microwave and convection oven, kettle and toaster. Counter-tops and the table are made from slabs of a cedar tree that once grew in the garden. The building is 2.4m wide. The wood-burning stove is opposite a pull-out sofa-bed (115cms wide mattress), and the whole ground floor has underfloor heating as well as gas central heating. The wood-lined bathroom, with a luxuriously large wet-room style shower, has a skylight with views of apple tree branches. A chunk of cedar wood, with the bark retained, contains the basin. Skilfully designed, this is a captivating little treasure. It is an extraordinary and rare delight that will enchant guests.
Secluded and away from crowds. One parking space for an ordinary sized car. Long or high vehicles will not fit because there is a very sharp left turn at the entrance and overhanging branches.
  • Sarah's Dovecot is beautiful and also much more spacious than we first expected. The bedroom at the top of the Dovecot is perfectly cosy and if you leave the blinds open you can see the moonlight come in onto the sloping ceiling. The whole place feels very private even though it was a short walk into the city centre. The bathroom is warm and the underfloor heating very luxurious, especially since we stayed in February. There was a log burner but it was so cosy we didn't need to light this. I would recommend the Dovecot for anyone who wants to stay somewhere that feel special and unique. Sarah was very polite and helpful and a great host.

  • This is an absolutely stunning cottage in the heart of Edinburgh. Within walking distance of the Old and New Town, it is easy to get to everything you will need for a very enjoyable stay. And for those of you who are not as familiar with the area, the owner does an amazing job of providing information on restaurants, attractions, etc. From the spacious shower to the heated floors to the fireplace and the loft bed, everything has been meticulously thought and offered. It was quite windy and rainy during our visit, but we stayed snug and warm in the dovecot. An amazing place and highly recommended!

    Jennifer2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a special little place in a great location - in a large private garden yet minutes from great cafes and access to the city. We adored the cottage - a complete one off and what I think Airbnb is really all about. Highly recommended as a romantic bolt hole for couples - but we actually had our son too and it had plenty comfy space for us all. Loved it.

  • What incredible peace! The yurt was beautiful, and cosy warm, even on a snowy night in February. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast, and we had a super weekend. Thank you! Also thanks for the tip of a great route to drive to explore the island!

  • The yert was fantastic!!! It has such good character and is very cleann in a fantastic location. It was a quite noisy in the night but we were staying during Storm Dennis. Hosts therefore let us stay in the cottage for our second night which was also incredible! Brilliant hosts and a brilliant experience, would highly recommend

    Sam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great find and thoughtful host couldn’t recommend more

    Rowan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is great just above Tobermory and below a castle. The yurt is super cute, just as pictured, located on a dairy farm. You have a legit shower and bathroom not too far away. The 2 heaters in the yurt aren't drawing enough power, so it will get cold at night. The firewood was damp so we couldn't get a fire roaring. There was a storm outside during our stay, which sounded really cool, and the yurt held up great. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, and you will likely get to see baby coos

    Chip2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location! Extremely cozy and fun place to stay, even in the winter. It's a quick drive from Tobermory and everyone at the farm was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend it!

    Mark2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great glamping experience, the yurt had almost everything we needed. We went in January and with 2 heaters and a fire going we had no issues with the cold! Great location, only a 5 minute drive into Tobermory. The cheese farm/shop was great too, would love to see the cafe open in the summer.

    Samantha2020-01-18T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely place to stay, very cosy with everything you could need. The cottage has amazing views, and we loved watching Anita and Bruce's dogs playing outside. Bruce was very helpful when it snowed the morning we were due to leave, dug our car out and advised us on the safest road to take to the main road. We will definitely be back in the better weather!

  • My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Butterfly Cottage. We were visiting during Storm Dennis but it was still stunning in the snow! Anita and Bruce gave us tips on walks we could do near by and we were happy enough to sit and enjoy the cottage when the weather was really nasty! Perfect location, perfect hosts, perfect place to stay! Thanks both :)

  • Another visit to the beautiful Butterfly Cottage. Perfect in every way. Snug and cosy for our snowy stay. Thank you both for being perfect hosts and thanks to Bruce for providing a spade to help dig our car out of the snow...although we did not want to leave. See you again.

  • Something we looked out for when choosing a air BnB was being able to get to it without a car yet still being in the depths of nature ! Which is definitely possible through bus + taxi! Its even a magical stay even when all there is is chilling inside of the yurt during a storm! All you need is friends, wine and games! We thoroughly enjoyed cooking and dancing in the yurt, would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Alison is the most loveliest host, thank you !xxx

The outdoor hut tub is definitely worth the effort, it’s lovely and cosy in a tranquil setting. We weren’t very lucky with the weather but it didn’t hamper our trip and on the final night we had clear skies. We’ve never seen so many stars. Lovely welcoming host. We’ll definitely return.

  • We had a beautiful stay in the yurt. Warm welcome. Excellent fun setting up the hot tub. Relaxation and bliss at its best.

  • A friend and I had a lovely stay in the yurt, was nice and cozy and we had a great time in the hot tub. Even had some clear skies for stargazing 😊

  • An incredible spot to get away from it all - a cosy rural spot perfect for chilling out and some spectacular landscapes. Couldn't have asked for a more amazing time, from the sunsets/rises to the amazing hot tub and the sustainability of the whole yurt. All topped up with excellent hosts. An all round spectacular few days, wish it could have been longer! Thank you Alison and Brett!

Nestled in the Cairngorms National Park, The Steading (Scottish for converted Barn) was recently converted to a high standard. It provides a spacious, light and cosy cottage base with which to explore the local area. Extremely warm, with fabulous fire in the lounge and sky lights in all the rooms. The cottage provides easy access to mountain biking, Hill walking and climbing. The views of the National Park are stunning and the local countryside is home to many moorland birds and wildlife.
  • A beautiful cottage in the most incredible setting. We were lucky enough to have snow throughout our stay. The cottage has every amenity you can think of, even some cooking oil, salt and pepper. It really was a lovely cosy stay for a winter getaway

  • I got this stay for my mum and dad to celebrate my mums 50th and she was amazing by it. She has always wanted to spend her 50th someone snowy and beautiful and she got exactly that. They drove all the way from the south west but would do it again! The pictures and videos she sent of their trip here looked amazing! It has made me and my husband want to book now!

  • Gary's apartment is really good, the price / quality ratio is excellent. Gary will be able to advise you for your stay in Glasgow! And the apartment is very easy to access from the center.

    Jeanne2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • That’s a very nice place. Gray is so friendly. The room is clean and has warm, cosy feel. I highly recommend it.

  • A great flat, comfy room with everything you need for a good night's rest.

    Ben2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gary was a very gracious host. He has plenty of info for places to visit in Glasgow, including maps and tour books. Everything is very well organized, labeled and clean! The shower was perfect and the pillows were the most comfortable pillows ever. Wish we had more time to chat with him as he seems like a very interesting guy who has also traveled quite a bit. Would recommend!

    Jessica2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing spot, Gary was really friendly, we didn’t see him much, there was not a spec of dirt anywhere super close to subway, couldn’t recommend enough

    Shauna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gary’s place was lovely and clean, had all the necessities and was perfectly placed for our night out at the O2. Gary was very hospitable and was a great host. Thank you!

    Jordan 'Ditsy'2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Gary's place was great. Gary is really helpful and the flat is perfectly organised for hosting Airbnb guests. In the flat you always find useful information, and there is everything you need for a short stay, including a huge selection of Teas and cereals for breakfast. The location is ok, 25 minutes walking to the city center (subway and bus station at 3 minutes distance). I would completely recommend Gary's place to anyone who wants to visit Glasgow.

    Matteo2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gary's place was perfect. We couldn't think of anything that we missed or what could have been better. There even were adapters for our power plugs! He was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He knew a couple of places we had to visit during our short stay in Glasgow. If we would ever travel to Glasgow again and Gary's place is available we would happily book again.

  • Lovely cosy cottage, perfect location for Loch Lomond and surrounds, friendly helpful hosts.

    Jamie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Michael and Nolwenn's cosy cabin. As a non-driver it was wonderful to find a peaceful place to stay within easy reach of beautiful scenery yet right next to the train station and close to local amenities. Michael kindly met us from the station and helped us with our bags but it was so close - just across the road! We walked to the loch and went to the Sea Life and Birds of Prey centres. It was February so the weather wasn't great and sadly we couldn't make use of the pretty deck and gardens, but the cabin was toasty warm and there were plenty of board games, books and DVDs to keep us entertained. In fact, this is the best-equipped self-catering accommodation I've ever stayed in. Michael and Nolwenn have thought of everything, especially in the kitchen: as well as all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you'd need to cook, they provide tea, coffee, oil, sauces, salt, pepper, herbs and spices, even foil to wrap sandwiches in for picnics. These are the little things you often end up wastefully buying and leaving behind when you are self-catering and travelling by public transport. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy, the bed comfy, communication clear and efficient. An exemplary Airbnb experience!

    Emily2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Nolwenn were lovely hosts! The place is every bit as cosy as it looks, located very close to Loch Lomond (the cottage has direct access to a riverside path that leads you to the Loch!) and Michael and Nolwenn gave us lots of useful information which we took advantage of during our stay! Would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Loch Lomond area.

  • Fabulous accommodation, fabulous hosts, would definitely return

    Jen2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Nolwenn are extremely kind hosts, full of useful tips of the area. The cottage is conveniently just a few minutes walk from the train depot, with plenty of privacy and a view of the river. Great place to spend a few nights away.

    David2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This magical oasis hidden on the River Leven banks of Balloch, is not to be missed. Within the first few moments into the cabin you already feel right at home, with a cosy aesthetic and some of the comfiest sheets we had ever slept in. The surrounding garden is genuinely the most magical area you will ever find yourself. Your inner child will be filled with wonder and adventure as you meander your way around its twists and turns. Waking up to a cuppa on the balcony is the ideal way to start your day and as you watch the sun peak through the trees you’ll realise that you never want to leave. Fisherwood Cottage is absolutely stunning and we can guarantee that it’s the best way to see Balloch.

    Tom2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cosy, well equipped little cottage! We had a lovely time here. Michael and Nolwenn have put a lot of work into making sure that guests are comfortable, including a really detailed and easy to read handbook about the cottage and the local area.

  • Michael and Nolwenn’s place is very comfortable and cozy and perfect for a romantic getaway! They have loads of helpful guides and tips on what to do whilst you are there. The Bothy is a self-contained wooden cabin on the edge of our own woodland at West Cottage and Stables, nestling in the heart of Glen Lyon and at the beginning of many excellent walks and cycle rides. There's a double bed, extra bed, luxury bathroom, and wood burning stove. Most guests choose self-catering (there's a hob, fridge, and everything you need to cook with) at our base price. We can provide breakfast (£7.50 per person) and/or a dinner (£20 per person) if you'd prefer.
It's a cosy single-room cabin set up for self catering with small loft space, and a luxurious shower room and toilet. There's a wood-burning stove for heat and a small kitchen area. The floor is stone and the walls are wooden. There is a bed and a comfortable sofa bed for children or if you'd prefer a twin setup too.
We are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains. You will see red squirrels, deer, many birds, hedgehogs. A stream runs down the side of the property and if it's hot you can have a dip. Have a look at PH15 2PL on G. Earth and you'll see what we mean. From the Bothy you have the woods on one side, a view up the Glen to the east on the other. Come in Spring and enjoy the bluebells and baby birds. Or summer, for swimming in the Invervar Burn and the drone of bees. Or Autumn, for wild mushrooms and the colours of the trees all down the Glen. Or winter, for snowy walks and cosy fires and perhaps a wee dram...
  • Great place and location. Would definitely recommend

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely charming little cabin getaway! Exactly what my partner and I wanted. This Bothy is in a stunning location with lots of walking straight out the door. The space was cosy and comfortable, and has everything you need to cook! We didn’t even use the stove.. opting to cook on the wood stove top instead! Wished we had stayed longer!

    Annabel2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a fantastic stay in the Bothey. The place is set with mountains either side which make for amazing views. We took a walk straight to the back of the woods on the property. From there we ended up a couple of mountains with unbelievable views down the Glen. The Bothey itself is small but very cosy. The wood burner soon gets the place very warm. I would definitely come stay again. Tim and Judy are as relaxed hosts as you can get and made us fee very welcome from the moment we arrived. So if you're looking for a remote hidden gem, this is the place.

    Sam2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy was exactly what we expected, cosy, clean and away from all modern technology. Would recommend Tim and Judy as hosts - Brilliant, will definitely stay again.

  • Great little bothy in an amazing location. Tim was really helpful and quick to reply when we were having issues getting there due to a storm. He had the fire going on arrival so it was lovely and warm and he also gave us some freshly baked bread. It was snowing when we were there which made it even more picturesque. It's quite isolated which was perfect for us but make sure you arrived stocked up for a few days!

    Abigail2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a wonderful place to stay! The location is perfect, lovely and peaceful. Tim and Judy we’re fantastic hosts - even presenting us with some freshly baked bread on arrival. The cabin is fare enough from the house to feel private, and has wonderful views of the surrounding hills. Lovely and clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The kitchen is equipped for you to fully self cater and contains a microwave, a fridge and two electric hobs. There is also a kettle , toaster and a cafetière for coffee. You will not however find an oven, a grill or a freezer. We want to make you aware of this so you can plan your shopping. There is a small ice box which would fit one or two items only. Adjacent to the bothy you will find a raised deck area with a wood fired hot tub lit with fairy lights and optional insect screening. Also you can enjoy dining out at a table with two chairs and a bbq. A selection of wetsuits are available to borrow should you wish to swim in the sea at the bottom of the croft.
Glasnakille is a spectacular secluded village in South Skye with commanding views over Loch Slapin towards the Sleat Peninsula. There are also views of the small isles of Eigg and Rum nearby. `The mountains of knoydart can be seen in the distance. There are very quiet roads on which it is possible to walk or jog. You can walk the coastal path to Kilmarie which then takes you into Camasunary bay and the heart of the Cuillin . It is possible to have a quiet stroll or a big adventure without even taking the car. However Elgol is a five minute drive away with its famous boat trips to Loch Coruisk. Stunning views of the Cuillin can be seen along with walks to Prince Charlie's cave and amazing honeycomb cliffs near the pier. Glasnakille is home of spar cave, a 50metre long cave which can only be accessed at low tide. It has a fascinating flowstone staircase contained within it. Our nearest supermarket is 15 miles away. The co operative supermarket in Broadford is open till ten pm. This is also where you will find a 24 hour petrol station. However our area is remote and peaceful and there are no shops or restaurants or pubs within walking distance. We believe this just adds to its charm however. Bookings can be made for evening meals at Coruisk house in Elgol but these need to be made well in advance.
  • The bothy is a beautiful, quaint and cosy space situated in a remote yet accessible location. The surrounding scenery and trails are breathtaking and the wood burning stove and hot tub made this an unforgettable stay. James was quick to respond to any questions and was extremely friendly and inviting. Highly recommended.

  • Great place to stay! Lovely views and plenty of local walks near, very peaceful and relaxing. Was good to have the log burner with the cold weather would definately go back.

  • The bothy is in a lovely remote part of Skye. Very cosy. James really went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. 😊 thanks!

  • Fantastic place to stay!

  • A beautifully cosy space perfectly suited to an island adventure on stunning Skye. Would definitely book again 😊

  • A fantastic, secluded place to stay in an out of the way place with lovely scenery. Log burner was lovely after being out in the rain all day! James was a great host and very friendly, his directions were easy to follow and we found it with no problem. Go well prepared and stock up with food, nearest shops are 30 mins away in winter months! Would recommend for a restful, away from it all, few days.

    Jane2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • James's place was wonderful. We wanted peace and quiet and that was exactly what we got. We arrived in the dark so didn't see much of the view from the drive down. But the following day was a real treat! The directions to the Bothy were clear and precise and we found it in the dark with very little trouble. Logs and kindling were plentiful, so each evening we had a fire and heated up the hot tub twice. The shower and toilet were very clean and only a short walk away from the Bothy. A great place to stay, fantastic location and well worth the drive from the village.

  • Situated in a beautiful area and super quirky inside. Great place to come to get away from it all for a few days. Will be back again soon. Maybe have a few more cooking utensils in the kitchen but that’s just a minor thing. This place is truly stunning and is a real home away from home.

A large double room in our beautiful old (1824) townhouse, in the centre of historic Stirling. Stirling Castle is 10 minutes walk away; the rail & bus stations are 5 minutes. A help-yourself breakfast is provided in the room. On-street car parking.
The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a double bed, sofa, coffee table, books, board games and dvds (and a dvd player). There is wireless internet. Bread, fruit, cereal, porridge, yoghurt, tea and coffee are provided so you can help yourself to breakfast. There's a fridge, toaster, and kettle in the room.
Stirling is a great place to stay, and our house is right in the heart of it. You can visit Stirling Castle (recently voted best visitor attraction in Scotland!) and wander round the fascinating old town, with many buildings dating back to the 1500s. The Wallace Monument is just across the valley - in fact you can see it from the kitchen window! The best Indian restaurant in Stirling (Green Gates) is 20 seconds away, with other pubs and restaurants nearby. Stirling is great for shopping, with lots of independent shops and all the big high street names. The beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs national park is a 30 minute drive away.
  • Rosa & Greg were superb hosts. Great spot in town with a short walk to everything. Thoroughly recommend!

  • I highly recomment Rosa and Gregs place. The location is perfect - you can walk to the town, to the castle, to the train and bus station very fast. The studio is part of the accommodation provided at Uvie Farm: you might see Highland Cattle outside your window and wild red deer across the river, and you can walk round the farm or find instant access to the hills. It's a really cosy self-contained little appartment with its own kitchen and showerroom. It's on a working farm breeding pedigree Highland Cattle in the stunning Spey Valley (part of Cairngorms National Park). Grid Reference NN 794909 Grid Reference (6 figure) NN670947
The studio is small and cosy (about 5m x 3m) and packs a big punch for a small space: hardwood furniture and worktops, induction hobs and microwave, showerroom, washing machine, exclusive wi-fi & home cinema. For anyone who enjoys a spot of nesting, away from the pressures of domestic life!
Newtonmore is only 4 miles away with an A road link to the farm but when you're (URL HIDDEN) feels like you are hidden away among mountain pasture and animals, and truth is ...a short walk and you can be !
  • Simply my favorite

    文龙2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you love Highland Cows, that’s the best place for you. So comfy and decorated with... cows :) The studio has everything you need to spend some time and stay really warm. Lovely

    Alessandra2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was so wonderfull time at Roy's farm. The studio had everything what we need (mainly great kitchen equipment). Roy gave us very useful advices, lent us equipment for our trip to mountains and showed us the farm and cows. We are so glad for this Highlands experience. Roy and Nicola are very kind people and I recomend this place to everyone! Thank u so much, hope to be back soon.

    Jakub2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy little studio in beautiful countryside, and the cows were very sweet! Roy and Nicola were very helpful and quick to respond to questions. Recommended for a peaceful few days with stunning walks nearby

  • Had such a fun time visiting the farm and meeting the cows. we hired a car and drove up from Inverness airport which took about an hour. The farm is surrounded by beautiful scenery in every direction. We went for a hike just over the road whilst it was snowing which was loads of fun. Also drove to Loch Laggen (about 30 min drive) and Ben Nevis (50 min). The studio was simple, warm and had everything we needed, including bread, milk, oats and jam! If you need anything, there’s a co-op down the road (5-10mins). Each day we put on our wellies/boots and got out in fields. Spent a lot of time stroking/scratching the hairy cows! They are amazing creatures, and so well looked after by Roy and the work away team. They roam around freely all day and night as they please across huge land. We even got to see and stroke a week old baby. In summary, highly recommend. Hope to go back again! Cheers Roy!

  • Booked for the second part of our road trip for my boyfriends 30th, for its location, amenities, and the sure chance of seeing a highland up and close, this place is a gem and i can not rate this stuido enough!! For a small space it is packed with useful and essential features! On arrival, (which was very late) we got greeted by roy on his bridge, then we entered the cutest little place. The underfloor heating was lovley, the projector is such a great idea! There was even a washing machine! The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials and easy to use! Very happy to have the fresh milk, tea, sugar bread and oats :) The bed was comfy, and it had enough lamps for different lighting, which i love! BUT the main highlight has to be the actully farm and time you get to spend with roy, nicola, the people volunteering and the wonderful cows of all ages 🐮 we got up at 7am every morning to go out and bottle feed nicky, we got to hand feed lala, meet big dougie the bull! And as an extra special surprise when we returned back to the farm on 24/01/2020, jonnys day of birth, mini moo had been born that very same day! Can not wait to return in the future!! Highly highly recommend!

  • Having travelled around the world I have never come across such a unique place. Firstly the scenery is breath taking, located in a valley with different colours and terrains scattered across as far as the eye can see. Secondly the architecture of the house is spectacular. I came up with a bog group of 11 uni mates and had the best time, especially enhanced by “Roy’s Airbnb experience” of the farm where we learned about local history and his life as a farmer. If you’re looking for a unique, comfortable experience that will stay with you a good long while, choose this place.

  • Wow ! what’s an amazing apartment ! David really has got this Airbnb business nailed ! David communicated excellently Throughout our stay and provided us a with an effortless check in procedure. Tea , coffee milk and some delicious biscuits thrown in for good measure ! The apartment was amazing , spotlessly clean and very Comfy and cosy. Location was good and was very quiet in the evenings , no issues whatsoever. This apartment is a real home from home. I Will definitely make this my number 1 stay when I am in Edinburgh. Thanks again David look forward to staying again in the future.
