Cannot speak highly enough of this place. The view can’t be captured in photos, you won’t want to leave the house. We stayed for a week and I think I spent 75% of the time just staring at the view. It’s also great that you can sit inside even on a cool day and bake in the sunshine if you’d like. Or curl up and watch a movie or TV, with all the options available. The grounds leading up to the home exceeded expectations, it’s a super lush garden complete with a koi pond. Really tranquil and beautiful. Can’t wait to come back. The nearby area is also great, of course, it’s Malibu. David & Ling’s local recommendations are great - additionally we liked Zuma beach if you’re looking for an easy access, low key beach. Point Dume was also beautiful, and we saw whales swimming by right off the coastline (thanks for the suggestion David & Ling). Food wise - The Reel Inn was awesome for fresh local fish. And the Marmalade Cafe near the Whole Foods (north on the PCH about 10 min) was great for a greasy spoon, whatever you’re in the mood for meal. The shopping center that Whole Foods is in is also great if you want to stroll around and do some shopping. A couple tips: the road to the place is windy! Just be prepared mentally for that, ha. It’s beautiful but takes some getting used to. The place does get hot during the day if you leave all the blinds open fully (even in Feb!). Take advantage of the fans and crack the windows + run the fans starting early in the morning to keep it comfortable. Lastly, this was not an issue for my husband and I, but note that the bathroom is an en-suite with just a curtain for a door and the walls don’t meet the ceiling. It’s a lovely bathroom, but if you’re a new couple or at all coy about bathroom stuff .. I might try to rent the upstairs unit of this home instead!

David and Ling’s place was great! The views were stunning and the property awesome. The hosts were very responsive and provided an easy check in with great recommendations. It was nicely stocked, providing citrus on the property for our margaritas 😀 I’d just mention that there is a home/apartment that is above the unit and at times you can hear. Other than that, great stay!

A respite for the mind, body and soul on every level. Waking to the sunrise over the canyon, breathing in the fresh air as it drifted into the house, hearing the birds and watching them play in the fruit trees, short strolls to spectacular sunsets, and staring at the stars each night from the patio all brought such peace and calm. This house is a true gem; you won’t want to leave... One heads up: you may loose cell service as you go up the mountain to get to the house, but just follow David and Ling’s directions and you’ll get there with no problems. The WiFi at the house worked great (and our cell service returned as we neared the house). David and Ling also provided great tips on where to go and what to do and were very easy to reach in planning our trip. Very happy with our stay. Hope to be back soon!

Amazing place with spectacular view.

A great experience!

Stunning AAA location and the most beautiful garden with trickling running water and fish too! If you would like solitude nestled in nature, hearing all but the wind blow gently through the mountains and the birds and crickets chirping, this is the place for you. But what makes it even more spectacular is that great food - Whole Foods, Malibu Country Mart, Malibu Pier Cafe, Nobu to name just a few (all of which are lovingly put together as notes by the hosts) - are just a few minutes drive away. Ling and David were such lovely hosts, very warm and welcoming and super quick to respond. Easiest check-in yet, the place is clean and the design and amenities are super nice a well. The space is just perfect in size, very spacious and has a real home feel to it. Thank you Ling and David for a most wonderful experience!

This property was like a little slice of heaven, the views, vegetation and privacy were so nourishing. The road is a bit windy and narrow but once you drive it a few times you get used to it. Grateful for my time here + look forward to returning.

This cottage was so lovely. Check in was smooth, and the the cottage was so cute and comfortable, with nice touches, ie. art work, and sky lights. The bed was comfy and the sheets were nice cotton. the garden is beautiful. A great location, and on a quiet, tree lined street with nice houses. We really enjoyed our stay, and communication with the hosts was great and always prompt. We will definitely try to book again, when we return to the area.

This is an adorable little cottage in a quiet part of town. We were glad we chose to stay a nicer area a little farther from the beach. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

This is my favorite airbnb I've stayed at! The little patio area is so cute and green and sunny! Everything was super clean and there was plenty of water, coffee, shampoo, body wash, etc. The instructions were great - I was only staying for a day so ai didn't get to say hi or thank you to the hosts in person but I am so grateful. It was also very easy to uber to the airport from there - only cost me about $10!

Great decor and a decent location. Everything was as expected, which made for a pleasant stay. Street parking can be a little crowded, but that goes for all of LA area.

This is a very unique property with lots of interesting décor touches. It's very private, with a couple of lovely sitting spaces. Some sound was heard occasionally from the main house, but this was not problematic at all. The location is phenomenal to Abbot-Kinney Road, and it's an easy scooter ride (or 15 minute walk) to the beach. Bed was comfortable. Décor could use some freshening up with a new coat of paint and more lighting is needed outside as it's dark coming in. This spot is a great find though, and I would stay again.

Steve’s Airbnb is a beautiful, cozy place to stay. I’ll echo other reviews in noting that it is small, but it was plenty of room for me. It’s stylish, considered and provided easy access to all parts of LA. I really enjoyed being there.

Perfect space for a single traveler or a couple. This was our second stay at Steve’s place. It’s small but mighty. Steve has everything you could ever need. I appreciated the clothing steamer, it came in handy. Such a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and so convenient to walk to restaurants and shops. There is street parking available but we opted to take Lyft everywhere and a car was always available within 2 minutes. I would stay here again for sure.

This guest house was a little gem. The location couldn’t be better a block away from the main Larchmont strip. It was also very well-appointed - the design level was high - warm and celebrated california culture.

Wonderful location, close to Abbot Kinney & Rose Ave. Both streets filled with lovely restaurants, shopping, grocery stores (Erewhon & Whole Foods) etc. The space was very clean with a super comfy bed - highly recommended.

Simple place in the middle of a really nice area of LA. I recommend it if you’re looking for a no frills spot close to the beach.

Great place, would happily stay again

This is a catch! Absolutely stunning and well cared for. It’s the first time I’ve rented an Airbnb and knew exactly the type of people the owners were. The guest house was full of love and made u feel at home instantly! I plan on making this one a mainstay when in the area for sure!

This place was so cute! We loved the location, the decor and the welcoming host. We spent a lovely morning drinking tea by the pool, slept soundly in the comfy bed, and appreciated the kitchen stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. Would absolutely stay there again!

My boyfriend and I LOVED this air bnb. So cute and cozy and perfect for two people. Neighborhood is very safe- young couples walking around with strollers. Bed is very big and comfortable. Street parking is a bit limited but we always found a spot. We had our privacy which was great and we felt very at home. Would definitely return!

We stayed an extra eight days, 15 days in all. Very comfortable and well designed living space in back of the main house, with a sitting area by the pool. Hosts were warm and helpful!

Todd's place is in a wonderful location by the beach in Santa Monica and 5 min drive from downtown. I stayed here for a quick day trip to and from LAX. The room and bathroom is spacious and sparkly clean. Todd is very responsive and accommodating for checking in and out. I strongly recommend the place for anyone passing through West LA.

The bed is super comfortable, all of the linens were high quality and lovely, and the entire space inside and out was brimming with taste and character. Jana is an amazing host and her retreat is special. My wife and I stayed for 12 days and loved every minute of it. Jana went out of her way to make us feel at home even though she was under the weather. Location was great and we had everything we could need within a short walk. Highly recommended but book early as lots of people want to stay with a Jana!

Nice place and good value

The place was perfectly located in a good neighbourhood and in a close proximity to the beach and Santa Monica pier. We loved it! It was easy to check in and the room had all the necessities. The only thing it was a bit noisy in the mornings and the bathroom could use some renovation. But those are minor things and we enjoyed our stay! Thank you for the hospitality! 5 stars :)

Aron and his girlfriend was very kind. Wifi was a bit slow. I was able to use the washing machine and dryer for free.

It was a really nice stay at Arons place! It is located in a good neighborhood where it is very quiet. It is within 15min to Venice beach per car. So the room and the Location were perfect! Aron was very helpful, always answering quickly and in general a very good host! Really recommend him and his place.

The place was cosy and the hosts we're super nice! A bit of breakfast included is always a nice addition. Parking available and public transport to Santa Monica pier and Downtown LA is walking distance away. Would stay again!

We stayed only one night, arrived at 10 pm and had to leave again before 8 am the next morning. As we left we were a little sad, that we couldn‘t stay any longer. The house is unique, stylish, clean and we felt very welcomed and comfortable. Nika is very friendly and the communication prior to our stay was very good. We will surely Come back.

Nika and Austin were great hosts, really friendly and made us feel welcome in their home. Communication was great throughout the trip, and it was great to be able to make use of the kitchen as well as the washer/dryer. The house itself feels like a proper beach house and the location is great. Probably one of the best value places you will find in Venice, definitely recommend!

Location is very close to the beach and beach boardwalk. We used the courtesy bikes to bike the boardwalk. The bikes aren't new, but they are serviceable and it saved us renting bikes.

Nika's place is very comfortable with lovely clean bedrooms, comfortable beds, clean bathroom. You are invited to share the house and common areas with Nika and Austin and their lovely dog. This can be busy but feels very homely. The house is well situated and within easy walk of Venice beach and cafes. Amazing hospitality.

A great place to stay in L.A. - a very comfy bed, good communication and in and excellent location very close to the beach. We enjoyed meeting Carthage the dog and Austin was very welcoming when we arrived late from our flight. Most appreciated.

Great place in Venice

Jeff’s place is better than I expected has a real nice artistic California feel. Also very close to where you want to be in Santa Monica and easy to get to Venice also. Check in was super easy and so was Parking!

The location of Jeff’s place is amazing. Close to beach and Santa Monica Main Street with lots of great restaurants and shopping. Jeff was great to work with!

The room was very clean, comfortable and just as described. Melissa was also super accomodating and friendly. There were two other air bnb rooms attached to the same house, so there were several other people coming and going. This didn’t affect our stay at all, we just didn’t realise that would be the case.

Great place to see Venice beach! You can walk there in 20 min if you wish as well!

I stayed at Melissa’s for one evening to explore Venice and Santa Monica. Her house is well located and easy to get to from LAX. The room was clean and confortable and very sunny in the morning. Melissa was very helpful with her suggestions and helped with storing my luggage until the evening, I highly recommend her place!

My sister and I stayed at Valerie’s for one night and had a great experience. The home is clean and modern. Communication and check-in/out was very easy. Would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

This place was great!! I’d definitely stay here again. Communication and check in were easy. Tons of parking available and the room was quite comfortable and spacious for 2 people. The only thing to note is that the hosts were not staying in the home — instead we shared the property with one other Airbnb couple. This was totally fine with us, just something to note!

I don't even know where to start! Blair was so kind, welcoming and well-mannered! This place highly surpassed all the other places we stayed at in LA. It is so tastefully decorated, clean and cozy at the same time. The bedroom is arranged exactly how mine is at home so it literally fell like a home away from home! My 2 night stop in Santa Monica, during my road trip to California, was the one I liked the most and I wish I had stayed there longer. I loved the fact that the hosts let us have the independence to pretend it was home. The guest house is detached from their house and I really felt at home. The location is exceptional, we were close to everything we wanted to visit. And to go to the beach we used electric bikes! Really great. Parking on the street was very easy and free. The bathroom was very small and the hot water was barely 5 minutes long, but all the positives quickly made me forget that. The decoration is great, it was very fun to be able to eat sushi in the apartment with Netflix, like at home

A great beachfront property, five minutes from Santa Monica Pier and about ten minutes from the center of Santa Monica! It could not be more central - even if the traffic on Palisades Beach Road had to be taken into account. A very friendly, helpful host, who promptly and reliably answered all questions and gave good advice. Any time!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is awesome, on the beach, with great amenities like the outdoor kitchen and hot tub. The apartment itself is on the smaller side (typical studio) but is perfect for 1-2 people. It was very clean and cute. Andrew was great with communication, getting back to me very fast and answering all my questions. The only tricky thing was parking. There are a couple spots right behind the house off the pch, but theses were hard to come by sometimes. There is overnight parking within a 10 minute walk, but it did add up quickly as I used my car a lot. Andrew was great with providing information on different places to park though. All in all I would definitely stay here again as it’s walking distance to everything (the beach, the pier, 3rd street promenade etc.)!!

Excellent place. The location is incredible, the other guests were a ton of fun to get to know and hang out with on the large shared patio, and my unit itself was spectacular. For real, I could not be happier with my experience here, and I wish I could’ve stayed even longer.

This is a great little space in a great location. If you're looking for a cozy place to stay, with quick access to the beach, shops, or dining, Tomoko's place is a great value. If traveling with with two or more you'll need more space but, if you're traveling alone, this should be just fine. Communication and hospitality is excellent.

Heather’s place is such a nice and hidden little getaway! I went with a friend and my dog, and we had a great time. We booked our reservation super last minute, and Heather was very accommodating and even sent me a bunch of recommendations of things to do for the night I was there.

Maddy & John’s guest house is straight out of a movie. It’s the perfect creative retreat. Everything you could ever want is there. It’s cozy, safe, and so cute. It looks like what you imagine a cottage in Ireland to look like. I would definitely stay again!

My GF and I enjoyed our stay at Madeleines. Was very nice of her to leave a bottle of wine and some cheese & crackers. She was extra helpful letting us leave our bags while we explored LA on our last afternoon. Would definitely come back

Madeleine's guest house is a perfect place to stay in Venice. It's quiet and clean and she provides everything one might need while traveling. We were greeted right away with a bottle of wine and some snacks (which we devoured), and really enjoyed the location on the walking paths and the short walk to shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Next time we're in Venice we will definitely be staying here if it's available!

Our stay went very well in the guesthouse, all the equipment is at the top, the location is great, close to restaurants, places to live, the beach. Ideal to stay as a couple and enjoy LA in excellent conditions. Even Parker his car is easy in the adjacent streets. Thank you to our hosts for their hospitality and kindness.

Margi is the most wonderful host with a really lovely home. I can not fault a thing. Her hospitality is second to none and she has thought of everything to make your stay just right. Great location, within walking distance from the beach. Santa Monica is a lovely area and I’m so glad I chose to stay there. If you have the chance, chose to stay with Margi!!

Margi’s home is a great space for access to the beaches and an easy Uber to the airport. She was happy to chat about restaurants and events and the history of the city! I would be glad to stay with her again.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to the Santa Monica beach area in part because of this clean perfectly located place, thanks to Andrew, who is truly a super host.

This place was absolutely amazing. It’s right on the beach. A two minute walk to the Santa Monica pier and five minute walk to the promenade that has some of the best restaurants that Santa Monica has to offer. Also has some of the best shopping that LA has including the Nike outlet store! I got to meet some really cool people because of the location you have your privacy and walk right out the back gate and everyone’s hanging out on the beach so it’s really easy to meet new people. Everyone is on vacation so everyone is in a really good mood. I kept the door unlocked for majority of my stay because everyone is friendly and there are cameras installed for your protection. Oh! I almost forgot to mention there is a really big jacuzzi that’s easy to use and works very well. Andrew was our host and gave us our privacy. I had a couple questions when I first moved in and he responded within minutes. I would recommend this place to my mother! Thank you Andrew for such awesome experience and memories! I could go on and on but if you are looking for a getaway this is it!

Living on the beach is seriously a dream come true

Andrew is a fabulous, communicative and helpful host - and his place is right on the boardwalk of Santa Monica, so what more could you ask for! The outdoor kitchen area was so great, the unit is cute and it opens directly to the boardwalk/sand very close to the pier. Walking distance to SO MUCH! Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay, highly recommend if you get the opportunity!

We had the most amazing time at this property, it was comfortable in a perfect location for everything we needed, no need for a car as everything within walking distance and if really needed Uber is fantastic here. The hospitality was way above expectations with immediate response to any queries and Louisa the housekeeper was so lovely and helpful. We felt so welcome and looked after and we definitely hope to come and stay again. Cannot recommend this more, it was a trip that will stay forever in our minds.

Amazing place! The location is the best in Santa Monica. Easy access to everything Santa Monica has to offer. The common area is fantastic, and everything is kept very clean. This is my third year visiting, and I can’t wait to return next year and enjoy more gorgeous sunsets from the sun porch!

Apartment is small but has everything you need for a lovely stay by the beach. We have stayed there twice now so that says it all! Host was extremely helpful and fast responding to queries. The location is wonderful and the sunsets magnificent!

We stayed for just over a month and had a wonderful time. The property was very clean and well equipped- from cleaning products, dust buster and a fully functioning kitchen. All of this made looking after our 2 year old far easier. Location is perfect too. You are right on the doorstep of Abbot Kinney and a short walk to Santa Monica beach where there is a great playpark looking out onto the beach. Would happily stay again.

This is your perfect Venice Stay! A charming house with own parking space and garden in the heart of Venice. We loved it! The apartment is furnished very stylish and tasteful. We loved the kitchen, the big fridge and the comfy Bed :) we stayed with a Baby and felt very at home. Is is though a lively neighbourhood, just typically Venice... i would book again!

Denise was a great host, with a quick response and great comminication. All of the period was easy and well-going. House has a great location, a few blocks to beach and very close to santa monica. Very clean and well furnished. Great for four person to live. Neighborhod is also very safe and secure during day and night time. Safe to walk around. Also few minutes to aboud kinney. Easy to reach to supermarkets and shops around. Great location for short and long stays. İ definetely recoment this house and Denise. And hope to be there soon.

Great Location! Free Parking. Steps from the Pier. Clean and functional space. Middle of everything. Didn’t have to take my car out much while I was here except for work!

The apt has an amazing location, 10min walking from the beach. I really appreciated the private parking, the silence during night time and the size of the apt that is bigger than average and it can easily welcome 4 people. Highly recommended.

Nice stay for my days in Santa Monica

It’s pretty nice considering it’s a converted windowless garage! Comes with everything you need (just wish it had a mini fridge) and you can’t beat the value for the location. Andy was very responsive and I appreciated him letting us checkout later.

French: Ryan is a great host, very available and accommodating. If you are looking for a place to experience the bohemian life of Venice, this is the place We pass architecture etc ... We don't come here for that. We go down the street and we find ourselves at the beach, incredible atmosphere. You may have read almost everywhere the presence of homeless, it is part of life (unfortunately) and they are not mean, each makes his life and nobody annoys anyone. My partner did her jogging alone without feeling insecure. On the weekend, on the other hand, in the evening it's a bit more hectic. Alcohol and drugs help, we must be more vigilant. (It's not worse than in Paris) Regarding parking, follow Ryan's advice, do not keep anywhere, you can also leave your car in the parking lot in front of the Main Street pharmacy, it's $ 10 a day and free from 6 p.m., homeless people park there to sleep in their cars, do not let anything appear and it will be fine. Do not hesitate to book with Ryan, you will not be disappointed. English: Ryan is a great host, nice person and always keen to help. If you're looking to experience the bohemian way of life in Venice, this is the right place! You might read in internet that Venice is full of homeless, you shouldn't be afraid, they are people as well and not aggressiv at all, everyone mind his own business, my fiancee ran (training) on the broadwalk without feeling insecure. Listen to Ryan's advice about parking and read the signs. Do not hesitate to book at Ryan's place, as I said, if you're looking to feel the Californian way of life, you won't regret it. Had a fantastic time at Ryan’s place! Got to experience Venice Beach like a true local! Wish I could have stayed longer. Very convenient location. We did park a little ways away but honestly was a nonissue. Can’t wait to come back! Host was very accommodating and answered all our questions no matter how small!

Ryan's place was just as it is listed. We had a fantastic time in LA with the apartment being just a short walk from the beach, shopping, restaurants, and beautiful views. Ryan was responsive to messages I sent prior to my stay, and the instructions given were straightforward and easy to follow. Ten out of ten would recommend!

Perfect location to see everything in Venice and Santa Monica!

This is in an unbeatable location a block off the beach (but crucially far enough away to escape the hubbub and get a great night’s sleep). And we slept excellently - comfy bed and pillows. The flat is plenty spacious enough for two people travelling together and we enjoyed use of the smart TV and lounge space, from which you can see the beach and watch the sun set! Ryan’s online guide book is really helpful and it’s an easy walk from the flat to some great restaurants/the canals/Abbot Kinney. Don’t be put off by the fact there’s no lift - we weren’t exactly travelling light but it’s only two flights of stairs which are wide and not at all steep. The flat was clean and tidy, with a good shower, nice towels/linens and a coffee machine. Ryan was a perfect host - he communicated well, accommodated our request to leave bags late on our check out day and made check in super easy and straight forward. Couldn’t fault him! Would definitely return here next time we are in LA!

Ryan’s place was exactly as pictured in the ad! Perfect studio apartment for a couple. Just a block away from the beach, the location was damn near perfect. Parking was confusing at first, but we got the hang of it quickly; parking is confusing in LA, period!! lol. Ryan answered all questions and concerns almost immediately. Bed was super comfy, as was the couch. Would definitely stay again in a future visit to Venice Beach! ~

I had a great time staying at Jami's. She was extremely thoughtful in her setup of the guest house. This place has almost every amenity I could have thought of. Check in and check out was private and easy. I ended up walking to work most days and loved the surrounding area.

Lovely, cozy escape in the Venice/Santa Monica area. We spent the weekend here to get some sunshine and surf, and this guesthouse was a comfortable home base. Jami was very warm and super responsive. Excellent location only 5-10 mins drive from the beach. Lots of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Will be back!

The place was very clean and spacious. Jami is very nice! She offered plenty of informational items for things to do around the city, and even had bikes that we could use at our leisure!

This place is perfectly located! I was a solo traveler, and it is such a nice little studio, absolutely perfect for what I needed. It’s about a 15 minute bike ride through the beautiful town and neighborhoods to the beach. Its really close to some neat cafes, and Jami thoughtfully has a binder with her recommendations, and everything that’s close by! The garden was lovely, and Jami was so kind to provide a bike for me to borrow. If you’re planning on traveling by yourself, I highly recommend staying here, you feel safe and independent, but if you get in a pinch and need anything, Jami is right there. I absolutely would stay there again!

One of our favourite Airbnbs that my husband and I have stayed at. We used the space as a launch pad for exploring LA over a few days in January. The space is very thoughtfully and deliberately designed, and a pleasure to be in. The kitchen has all the basics we could ask for. On street parking was always available.

We loved this charming little house with many original artworks and retro-style furnitures. All the setups, location, room atmosphere made us feel like being a little hideout we would have visited often for contemplating and rejuvenating. P. S. The garden was gorgeous!

Our stay at Anna's place was lovely! She let us keep our luggages in the living room as we arrived earlier than the check-in time, which was really helpful for us. Room was clean and luminous.
