Julia welcomed us with personal touches and the most comfortable bed. After a long day of driving, it was just what we needed. It was a beautiful location and lovely to wake up to Julia’s flowers.

Julia's studio is perfect for 2. With its own entrance and outdoor seating, it is private and cozy. There is a parking space steps from the studio, which is rare. The shower and fridge are outdoors, which adds to the unique touch of the studio space. Even though Julia was feeling unwell, she went above and beyond when we had an unexpected issue arise. Would definitely recommend her place!

We are so grateful we got to experience Julia’s space in our short time in Santa Barbara. It’s super cozy with many thoughtful touches, Would highly recommend! Location is great, outdoor shower is refreshing and the space is so wonderfully decorated with much intention.

Leo & Daniela’s place is cozy and in a really great location! It was a quick uber to bars and restaurants. We had a group of 10 girls (which we managed with the air mattress, couch, and pull-out) but I’d say the home suits 6-8 more comfortably. Regardless, we had an awesome time. Great open living room and kitchen, as well as an adorable back patio with an avocado tree. Bring your own toiletries! Thanks for having us Leo!

Great Host and Great Place

Charming house with a beautiful back patio, kitchen, and common spaces. The upstairs bedroom is a shared space. Hosts were very responsive and nice. Great location in terms of proximity to state street and only a 5 minute Uber to the beach. The appliances were great. Highly recommend.

Comfortable stay with a nice kitchen and backyard outdoor space to use. We loved being able to walk to State St. You can tell that Leo and Daniela have put a lot of love into the place.

We enjoyed our time here! Nestled in a perfect location, we were able to walk to the beach within 10 minutes. The place itself was immaculate and comfortable. While we didn't cook during our stay, the kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to prepare a meal. The yard allowed us to enjoy morning coffee in a lovely patch of sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful option when visiting SB. Private cottage a short walk away from beautiful Butterfly Beach and great restaurants and bars. Easy access to coastline drive or the 101 into SB. Cottage is nicely appointed and comfortable for a couple or two traveling companions- I Most highly recommend Jennifer’s cottage.

This cottage is truly special, offering a private and beautifully furnished home-away-from-home. I have had a bad experience with AirBNB in the Santa Barbara area, so was a little nervous. But Jennifer was very responsive and clear in her communication, and when we arrived, everything about the cottage exceeded my expectations. It has its own kitchen, which is well-stocked, and even a small fenced-in yard with lounge chairs, a table and chairs, and a BBQ grill. The bed was super comfortable, and everything really was sparkling clean. I hope to return someday!

Absolutely amazing house in SB. Great location, good value for the amount of space, and Rachael was very responsive and accommodating. We actually had to park early while the cleaning was happening and the cleaner was super nice and through as well. We used the hot tub and really enjoyed every minute! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The pictures of La Maison do not do it justice! It comfortably slept all 12 of us, and had space for all of us to sit down for meals together. The location can’t be beat. Wine tasting, shopping, and eating are less than a 20 minute walk from place. Thank you so much Rachael for a great stay!

Very satisfied, especially clean and tidy. There are also many children's toys, and some communication problems I showed when I booked, and one person actually moved in. After eight people communicated clearly, they were perfectly resolved.

Rachael was very welcoming and check-in was incredibly smooth. She made sure we had everything we needed well before our stay. There is plenty of room and the home is very clean. The true highlight of this place is that EVERYTHING is within walking distance. My group took the train up from Orange County and we did not need an Uber/Lyft ride for anything.

If you're looking for a place close to downtown SB but somewhat removed in a quiet neighborhood then this is it! Being located next to the preserve offered great views as well as many running routes. Seamless check in with Marie's husband. We traveled with our toddler and they were gracious enough to provide a PNP. Accommodations were exactly as described. Everything was very clean and bed was comfortable. Kitchen had all you needed although we only used the fridge and cutting board. Daily cleaning was available if desired. Marie and her husband were quick to respond to texts. They let us use their washer/dryer and even folded the clothes! Marie also provided fresh strawberries to share :-) They were the best Airbnb hosts we have had so far!

Such a cute little place near everything you need including a hike to see some of the most beautiful sunsets.

My stay at Marie’s home was delightful. She communicated the things I needed to know. It is a beautiful private space, with all of the amenities that one could need.

This is what an AirBnB should be, beautiful home, lovely neighborhood. We went for hiking and birds and were very happy. Recommend Douglas Nature Reserve, the beach, Coal Oil Point, Rattlesnake Canyon. Pay attention to the tides>

This lovely, clean suite is exactly as posted. Quiet, close to great beach walks and in a safe neighbourhood. We loved our stay with Marie, who was polite and helpful.

Sparkling clean place at a great price! This was exactly what my wife and I wanted as we made our way down through California for a PCH drive for our baby moon. Jennifer’s place is absolutely beautiful. Her welcoming energy is great which makes the place even better. Her recommendations for places to visit were spot on. The glass cottage was amazing. Waking up to the sound of woodpeckers and birds was delightful as was falling asleep under the stars while listening to frogs and toads made my heart happy. Everything was just so wonderful. The photos of the restroom gave it no justice as it was extremely cute and private. This is a great place for any couple or for someone who just wants to get away from the city and enjoy some tranquility. There’s so many great things about this place but you’ll have to visit to enjoy them yourself. 😊

What a wonderful place to stay. A unique experience in nature.

Oh everything was quite excellent. It's a really unique place, with the mirrors on the outside reflecting the world and the glass panels on the wall opposite the foot of the bed looking out into lovely nature. We didn't both to close the curtains because we enjoyed looking out so much. Jennifer was super friendly and very quick to reply and answer questions. Her directions may seem lengthy, but once you see what she is describing it's easy as can be. We'd very much stay again if the opportunity presents itself. The pictures do tell the full story. Serene and really quiet at night. Enjoyed it immensely!

What a fabulous Gem!! Tucked into a canyon in the hills above Santa Barbara is the Glass House, surrounded by sycamore trees. Getting there with Jennifer’s instructions was super easy, the hot tub and outdoor showers were amazing. It’s just such a great place to stay, so close to town that you could get dinner but then return to a place of quiet serenity. We will totally be back. It was amazing!

My boyfriend and I decided to take a weekend trip to Ventura for my birthday and M’Lou’s place was perfect for us! Check in was a breeze and M’Lou was very helpful and communicative. The place itself is in a quiet part of Ventura, but only a short drive to Main St and the beach. The detached guesthouse was nice and cozy with awesome amenities that made our stay so fun and relaxing!

This place is great. The space is used well so that you have everything you need in a small stay-over place. I spent 3 nights here and appreciated the local suggestions for food and activities. Very warm, private space.

M'Lou's place is compact but nicely arranged, well equipped and visually appealing. Also, it's not too far from the beaches and downtown area. Check-in/check-out was easy and the communication was very good. I recommend M'Lou's place.

I often have to travel to the Ventura Avenue neighborhood for family reasons and this is by far my favorite place to stay. Clean, completely quiet and private, all the comforts of home. Always nice personal touches such as fresh fruit or perhaps a bottle of wine or something else interesting in the fridge. M’Lou is an excellent hostess with very quick responses. The cottage is nice and warm and snug during cooler weather but never stuffy. I highly recommend this for a solo traveler or a couple who are staying in the Ventura area.

This place is super cute, clean, quaint cottage. It was very easy to check-in, no issues with wifi, has a fully stocked kitchen, wonderful heater, quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend if you're visiting SB for the first time!

Great location. Close to State Street where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. About one mile from The Funk Zone, where we enjoyed spending our time. So many awesome wineries and fantastic restaurants. Our favorites were Oreana and Pali Wineries. Test Pilot for cocktails. The Lark for dinner. The cottage was really comfortable, clean, and adorable. We enjoyed the comfy bed, nice living room, and kitchen. The kitchen had all the amenities you’d need. Marry was a great host and communication was good.

Had a wonderful stay at Marry’s place! The location could not have been better. We were so close to the action of downtown Santa Barbara and still felt like we were tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The place was immaculate and cozy! Arlene's house is up the hill, in beautiful surroundings and with great views of the mountains. I stayed for 3 months and she really made me feel at home and welcome. It is not the most modern house, but it has lots of character. Stay here if you're looking for a homy place!

Arlenes home is quite a unique beauty, nestled in hills with beautiful views of the surrounding area and with a fantastic garden overlooking the mountains. I loved going out every day to admire a wonderful mix of plants and to observe an active and diverse bird population :) Arlene was super friendly and lives an inspiring and interesting life, full of vibrant dance classes and humanitarianism at multiple levels. Her home is perfect for the open minded traveler curious for a unique and interesting experience around people living lives of truth. Thank you Arlene for being an accommodating host!!

I haven't left Arlene's but had switched from one room to another in order to extend my stay. Everything I said in an earlier review is still true. It's magical here and under 20 minutes to most places including the beach. For me it's the best of both World's. Arlene is a wonderful host that I now consider a treasured friend.

I had wonderful 4.5 weeks at Arlene’s place and her pictures her gave me the right impressions on what to expect. I travelled on my own and this place was perfect for this: Arlene is very welcoming and I even had a nice roommate who rented the other room. So I never felt lonely on my vacation. I loved the views, the garden and all those little chipmunks and sometimes deer that you could see around the garden - as well as Arlene’s two dogs. Arlene’s place is very nice with a lot of little details like a billion little lights outside that you can admire during the dark. If you like a rest during the day you can sit on the front deck and relax. I did not rent a car and if you want to relax in Santa Barbara this is not necessary. I totally loved walking down the hill (to the „Old mission“) and did this almost every day. Sometimes I even walked until I reached downtown. In total I walked a lot and found this very nice and relaxing. You can take the waterfront shuttle once you reach the Arlington theatre and get a lift for 0.50 USD up and down State St. Otherwise I used Lyft and Uber for reaching my destinations (mostly about 10 USD/ride for reaching destinations in Santa Barbara). I would always go back if I came again to Santa Barbara!!

Arlene was such a sweet and kind host. She makes sure that you are comfortable and that everything you need is taken care of. The view from the house is beautiful and the area is very peaceful. I truly enjoyed my stay at this awesome house.

Arlene's place is on the quiet side of the hills above the city giving a rural feel with mountain views but still close enough to downtown, a ten minute drive away. I liked to sit on the deck in the garden drinking a coffee while reading or taking in the panorama. Arlene herself is very friendly and always ready to chat or help her guests. The rooms are probably best suited for travelers staying longer term, weeks or months rather than days.

The place was clean, in a convenient location, and accommodated all of our needs during our one night stay. Quick and easy check in and communication with George. There was some stomping and noise from above in the early evening and in the morning, but that couldn’t be helped and didn’t bother us too much. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

The place was so nice to just relax in and very cozy. The host was definitely one of the best parts with getting back to me fast and giving many options for my fiance and I to do, it really made our stay even better i would really love to stay here again.

Marry's place was simply fabulous!! The cottage house was private, very clean, and extremely cozy. Check in was effortless becuase Marry sends you the door passcode just before your check-in time. Enjoyed my stay. This was my first Airbnb and as my first it was great. It's small and cozy. And everything was walking distance from downtown. I did no driving what so ever as I spent my time in downtown during my stay.

First, very comfortable bed! Definitely bigger space than I have imagined. It was an ideal location that was near everything. Still managed to give guest privacy for being on the same lot as the owner. It was a lovely stay and would recommend it.

A totally awesome deal for the price! The blinds are wood so sleeping in through early morning light is do-able and the bed is just unbelievably comfortable! Clean, cozy and stocked with all the basics. Highly recommended!

It’s close to downtown and amtrak station.

Stayed in the Earth room for one night. The room was pleasant and had plenty of space for one or two people. Good location and a pretty quiet neighborhood. The walls are pretty thin so I could hear the guests in the room over but it wasn’t too loud and I was able to get a good nights sleep. I very much enjoyed my stay.

I had some issues due to sensitivities to smells. The products in the space are very scented / they have an air freshener running constantly putting floral aroma into everything. Just removing the origin unfortunately didn't fully resolve the issue since it was already seeped in, but Nelly was very, very responsive. She even washed all of the bedding and towels again to make subsequent nights more comfortable for us. I'd say if you're the type of person that gets headaches from car air-fresheners I'd mention this to Daniel & Nelly _before_ staying here, however everything else was near perfect. Very clean and good attention to detail. I'd consider staying again if we could reduce the floral scent before arriving.

And just a quick Uber ride to the Funk Zone. There are 2 parking spaces in the driveway and plenty of street parking. Emma responded quickly to my emails and instructions were easy to follow. This is a very nice, compact apartment in the back of a house near downtown Santa Barbara. Just a few blocks from State Street, near restaurants, a nice market, etc. but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Nice porch, views of the mountains from the kitchen. Everything is well appointed, and compact but well organized, a bit like quarters in a a well-designed boat. Worked perfectly for me and my wife for a five day long weekend combined with work trip. Our son was there for a few days using the pull out, which worked well, but as the host says if there is more than a couple, this would be best for family or close friends, and/or when spending most of the time out and active (which is the natural mode in Santa Barbara). On the whole, a great place, Michael was friendly, helpful and communicative, and I would highly recommend. Hoping to return on another trip.

Johnathon's place has great amenities for a single or couple. The bedroom and shared bathroom are immaculate. It also features a great back yard with a jacuzzi, fireplace peaceful sitting area, parking and located in a great centrally located neighborhood. I enjoyed Karen and John's hospitality. You can't go wrong with this AirB&B pick!

John was a fantastic host. He made us feel very welcome. His house is only a couple blocks from downtown SB and we could borrow bikes to get around. The backyard was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The value for his place is especially great.

A beautifully furnished, comfortable room in an equally lovely house just a stone's throw from the top of Santa Barbara's main shopping and restaurant street. The beach is a 5-10 minute cycle or a 15 minute walk, and their is easy parking outside! John was extremely attentive and was waiting to wave us into our parking space as we arrived. Excellent communications throughout and the room itself was so comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, many thanks both!

Very good value for money and clean. In addition, the accommodation was functional (microwave, hotplates, pots ...). It is not very far from a bus stop which provides direct access to the center of Santa Barbara for people without a car. The accommodation was not huge but more than enough for 2 people, the size is similar to the size of hotel rooms. Very good experience overall and consistent with the promises made in the announcement.

Perfect place for comfortable rest and sleep after being out and about all day. Great food options across the street and within short walking distance. No need to drive away for diner into downtown (which, granted, would only be a 5-7 minute drive). Keurig is a nice touch for the first morning coffee, nearby Trader Joe’s der me up for breakfast and the small kitchen had everything needed. I will look to come back again if available.

This adobe style home is perfectly located to walk to great coffee shops, restaurants, bars and the greater downtown area. Close to the freeway, to access all that Santa Barbara has to offer. The studio itself has everything you could need in the kitchen, and the bathroom is stocked thoughtfully. I found the bed to be particularly comfortable, and the big window was a great place to see the sunset over the garden outside. I had a great stay and would choose it again.

Incredible location. Local spots walking distance. Short drive into downtown and the harbor. Friendly atmosphere. Good for the traveling surfer too.

Location was a few blocks from State St, and right down the road from our favorite pub in town. Convenience store a few feet away was perfect for that late night snack or beverage. Beautiful, quite neighborhood. Because of the prime location, we didn't need our car all weekend. It was lovely for the both of us, and made for a relaxing weekend in Santa Barbara.

Staying at Marry's place was amazing! Great location, super easy parking and clean. Loved the panelled floors. Before booking I'd been a bit worried whether there would be too much noise from the 101 or even the street but it wasn't an issue at all. One note - there's no plates or utensils, so bring those if you need them. If ever staying downtown again this is definitely on my list!

Host was amazing! Loved the communication and response time. The room itself is cozy. Within minutes of local entertainment and around the corner is a liquor store. Loved the room and location would stay again.

Outstanding location, only a ten minute walk to downtown or twenty minute walk to Stearns Wharf and the beach. The house was in a quiet area and the A/C was nice to have as well.

Had a great stay at Marry’s! Check in/out was easily done on our own and Marry was quick to reply to my messages. The space is just what you need for a couple nights and the bed was very comfortable.

Mary’s place is stylish and clean with a modern remodel. Half a mile from state and seconds away from a quiet corner store. Great stay. Would love to come back again.

Cute private studio not far from downtown Santa Barbara (<10mins). There's coffee, lots of extra blankets, and a space heater. The space was clean and pretty spacious. The TV has Netflix and a bunch of other ways to watch shows. Overall, it was a nice spot to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone!

I would recommend Yesenia’s place. It’s a quiet neighborhood but not too far from the city. Very clean and provided an abundance of towels and extra blankets. The outside space was nice and big. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Yesenia and Alex.

I was just crashing for a night with an unpredictable arrival time so check in by lockbox was a plus. The space was just a small room, but nicely decorated. The bed was super comfortable. I was only there for 12 hours, but it did the trick. Just note that given the other rooms are also for guests, the bathroom availability may be unpredictable.

Lorena's place is the perfect studio for a stay in Santa Barbara. It is on a nice quiet street, but is close to everywhere you need to go. The bed is very comfortable, nice big TV, tons of closet space, and it was nice having the small fridge/freezer and kitchen sink. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

Great place to stay! Super close to everything in Santa Barbara! The only cons was that the Internet was a little slow, so for people looking to get work done in the space be prepared to be patient. Also, the walls are very thin, so you might here the children next door running around a bit. Overall, it was an amazing experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Bright place in a cute neighborhood. It had everything we needed and more. The bed was perfectly comfy for a good night sleep and there's a stylish table and chairs for enjoying a glass of wine or morning coffee. The parking was perfect, inside the complex and convenient. Cheerful bathroom with nice rug and towels and a window in the shower with a view a big oak tree.

If you have work or some kind of business in Santa Barbara or Montecito, Adrian’s Cozy Room is perfect. The room is small and not overtly amentitized, which is all you want when you have to be gone all day, sometimes long day, and have no time to enjoy amenities (like nice view, outdoor patio for morning coffee, fully stocked kitchen) that you have to pay for but haven’t the time to use. I appreciate the comfortable bed and roomy ensuite bathroom, both sparkling clean. It’s quiet at night and I get good refreshing sleep, the bathroom has a great shower and a good mirror over the sink. There are electrical outlets where you need them for phone charging near the bed and in the bathroom as well for hair dryer etc. all very handy. Definitely I will stay again.

The drive to Santa Barbara was already over 7pm. The room was temporarily booked. The landlord quickly confirmed it, thank you very much! The rooms were as described, clean and quiet, the quilts were warm and they slept well. There is a small garden next to the house, where you can drink tea and bask in the sun, giving a 5-star praise.
