Lovely stay. I was a bit nervous because I was traveling by myself and am not fluent in Spanish, but I felt safe and welcomed. Edwin was nice enough to pick me up and drop me off at the end of my stay which was great so I didn't have to worry about getting a taxi. Breakfast everyday was a traditional breakfast that was delicious, and it was a really great way to get the full country experience. Even had filtered water available so I could fill my water bottle for the day's excursions. The walking tour of downtown was very interesting, and we got to see quite a bit. I also booked some tours through Edwin of the Mayan ruins and the Route de las Flores, both were amazing and well worth the price. Edwin is very knowledgeable of El Salvador and is a great resource for trip planning, and making sure you see the best of El Salvador. The garden in the middle of the house is nice place to read a book, if you have some down time between travels. Also you must try the pupusas, they are delightful! I highly recommend, for my first airBnB experience I don't think it could have gone better.

An absolutely lovely stay. Edwin is super nice and incredibly helpful. His knowledge of the area allowed us to even better our visit to the country. The place was exactly what you would expect and I felt right at home.

Edwin and family was amazing! The whole family was in town for our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with them! The breakfasts in the mornings were fabulous! Our first night there we enjoyed a family meal of pupusas and had great conversation. We felt so at home here. The garden out back was incredibly beautiful and a great place to unwind. We also took a city tour with Edwin which was enlightening and educational. Edwin's brother-in-law also had some first had experiences to share with us from the civil war which was a pleasure. We would stay here again next time we are in San Salvador. The location was close to the market and everything you'd need. Edwin's friend Erwin picked us up from the bus stop and brought us to the house. Erwin was wonderful also! If you are coming to San Salvador... this is the place to be. Thanks so much to Edwin, family, and Erwin. You were all truly a delight!

I had an amazing time at Edwin's house. Him and his family are very nice and helpful with everything we need. The neighborhood is nice and one of his collaborators took us to visit the city center once he was away. Great experience!

Edwin and his mother were wonderful hosts! The house is in a safe area and the room is big. We got a really nice salvadorian breakfast aswell. The best thing about staying with Edwin is Edwin himself. He is a wonderful host and is eager to help as much as possible with informations about the country or even driving us around! I had an amazing experience with Edwin. To start, we had arranged to meet at the airport. Due to immigration, I was an hour late. Not once did Edwin complain about this and I really appreciated his effort to help me feel safe at 1AM in San Salvador. In terms of lodging, the room was large and the bed was comfortable. For the cost, everything made sense. I was actually surprised how breakfast was provided the next morning which was very delicious. Ultimately, I would recommend Edwin to anybody. He made me feel safe in a foreign country where I do not speak the native language. Second, his place was comfortable for the price I was paying.

As all the other visitors said place, food and atmosphere is great and there is no doubt about it. What I can add, is that everytime I visit a new country my opinion and view on it is based on the people I encounter. Thanks to Edwin I loved El Salvador above all other Centro-american countries and enjoyed it safely even though I always took the most basic local transport and sometimes hanged out alone in the evening.

It is quiet, a pet that was my priority to travel with my furry friend away, has basic facilities (bathroom, kitchen, fridge and bed) with a lovely garden, freezing weather and proximity to restaurants and bars. The place is very safe, even though the vehicle is left out, neighbors and close to the area are honored. The house itself is very clean, insects colo expected in any mountain house but could find no insects inside it. An ideal place to relax.

Quiet location. The house is exactly like the pictures. It contains all the basic amenities (beds, bathroom with heating, kitchen, refrigerator, full vajia). Cabin very clean with a beautiful garden. heladido climate quite rich. It is close to several restaurants. the vehicle is left outside the house but the place is quite safe. 20 minutes nearest gas station and supermarket. Excellent place to get away from the craziness of the city and relax in an environment free of technology. very professional and friendly host. Recommended for couples or families who want a quiet stay.

Carlos is a very kind and helpful person. The condo we had rented was not available due to the fact that the remodel was still in process. To help us, Carlos moved in to his condo and let us stay in his house. His house was lovely, but was a little difficult to find. But as helpful as Carlos is, he made sure to meet us in a place that was easy to find, and then drove us to his home. Carlos is a very nice and accommodating host. I definitely would recommend renting from him.

Carlos made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. It was really nice to have an entire home for me and my husband, after many days travelling and staying in hostels or rentting only badrooms. We were the first guests in this house and everithing was new, the bed was confortable and the wifi and cable TV worked perfectly. We also had a great time going out to eat pupusas with Carlos! Carlos, thank you for everything! Hope to see you in Brazil one day :)

We did not stay at the apartment we reserved but at a different apartment owned by the host. We appreciate him finding an alternate placement and we think the new apartment has great potential.

Very secure. Everybody seem to know the street where it is located at. Very close to multiples where I did some shopping . Carlos was nice enough to drop me off on my way to work. I only stay here one night but i would have stayed longer if I didn't have more plans.

I went for work but took my small family of three with me. Simply the best Airbnb that I have stayed in. Beautiful place, clean, comfortable, practical, very well equipped: any amenity you can ask for you have it there. The place is even better than the pics and Gina is a great hostess, nice and thoughtful. I am so happy and I will stay there every time I can. I highly recommend this place. We had such a wonderful time at Gina's place! She was accommodating, kind and made us feel at home. The place was impeccable! The pictures honestly don't do it justice. The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen (no oven but that's ok), fridge, coffee maker and complimentary coffee. Spacious bathroom, cozy front yard and more. A/C, Wifi, and Cable TV as well! The location is unbeatable! So close from malls, zona Rosa and lots of places to see. Walking distance to a couple of cool spots (Parque Bicentenario, a great place for a morning jog, and Laca Laca).

Gina greeted with much appreciation. The house very nice and super comfortable. The location is perfect as it is close to Multiplaza and Gran Vía with its restaurants and cinemas. Our experience was very good and we would stay. I loved the house. Gina was very welcoming and pleasant. Her home is beautiful and very comfy. The location is perfect as there are two shopping centers With various restaurants just a few minutes away from the home. We had a great experience and would stay again.

This tranquil place was the perfect stay in San Salvador. Gina is so sweet and wonderful! Communication was great and her English is very good. She was concerned with how I was getting on and came to check on me halfway. Check-in and out was very smooth and we shared lovely stories. There were some goodies in the refrigerator and bottled water which was much appreciated. The flat itself is very spacious. The internet speed is good, the air-con is great, and the decor is bright and organic. The little courtyard has flowers and seating so taking coffee in the morning listening to the birds was therapeutic. The neighbourhood is safe and secure, I did not feel unsafe at any time. There is a guard around and the street is pretty residential. One street over is a plaza with some restaurants (a good stir-fry takeaway and Mexican food). The grocer is about a ten minute walk. Just across the street is Bicentennial Park which is wonderful to visit. All in all, I hope to stay here or with Gina the next time I am in El Salvador!

This has been our best experience in AIRBNB. Gina is an amazing hostess, always concerned about our comfort and attentive to detail. The apartment is new, very nice, very safe, well located, clean and comfortable. I totally recommend it for anyone passing through El Salvador!

Its a great place, small but very well done. The room was amazing. the complementary breakfast was good. They offer for a small fee a personal taxi/driver. I think very convenient, I used it and the driver was very nice and respectful. Overall, I think is a great place and I will stay again when I travel to El Salvador.

The location is great. Its like a provate home in a residential area that was converted to a small b&b. Breakast selection is great. Always hot breakfast and afternoon tea or coffee. Susana and the staff are very acomoodating. Communication was great always getting quick responses, even late at night. They also offer great travel services on site including tours, car rental, and transportation. The place met my needs and I was able to relax during my stay. Location is right accross from the sheraton and walking distance to great restaurants and cafes. Bus stations are also walking distance. Will come back again.

Excellent experience, outstanding staff, rich breakfast, clean room and bathroom. From the first night they were very attentive to me and my companions, they made us feel at home.

I Really enjoyed my stay. It's nicely located near popular restaurants, some nightlife and You will be in one of the most secured neighborhoods of San Salvador. Everyone was very friendly from the owner to the Security guards. The staff is very attentive and service oriented. The hospitality and the attention to detail makes it easy to recommend Susan's place. The room was better than some hotels I've stayed before, It's well kept and comfortable. I will , without a doubt come back and stay at Susan's place, you should very much consider doing the same.

I thorougly enjoyed my stay, everything was clean and new, had privacy but felt while I could count on the help of people in the house, I liked that it had private security and all necessary services without any complicación.- attention at breakfast was great even showed me they had shuttle but did not get to use it. The location was me like a glove and I had an event at the Sheraton hotel was right across from my hotel.

It was pleasure to stay in Susana's place. They gave me a ride from/to the airport on time, room was the same as stated, breatfast was yummy, tour was great. Her place is right in front of Sheraton hotel which has big red sign so that I was able to easily find our place after dinner. I was a bit worried about safety in El Salvador but seems the area is ok. Regarding tour, weather was not that good during my stay so I told her I just wanted to see Iglesia El Rosario. Her father drove a car during the tour and explained many things to me - not only for the Church, nature of buildings that we passed by, what happened in the past in these areas and etc. I really felt his kindness and was very grateful.

It is a welcoming and safe, very central, very attentive hostess would definitely recommend, my experience was extraordinary.

Honestly I will try a hostel next time because I'm used to traveling more independently and I felt I was somewhat at the mercy of an overeager driver whose car needed a new radiator the say I wanted to go to the city center, but as it was my first day in a city with a crime reputation like this I thought at first I'd want my hand held. Instead i wished I could get a second opinion and talk to other travelers about what's safe to do and what's not, get a more adventurous perspective. Also I couldn't get a straight answer about rates before I got in the driver's car the first time and felt a bit like I was signing a blank check. But in the end the price was fair, and Loida generously drove me some places when he wasn't available. What I can't deny is the incredible generosity and hospitality of Loida and her family. If you can do a better job than I did of learning how to navigate the city by bus or if you don't mind hiring a driver for hours at a time I would highly recommend staying here.

I've stayed  at about 30 airbnbs in the past 18 months.This was perhaps the friendliest kindest family I've stayed with. Loida her husband and 9 year old son greeted me on New Years Day like I was familia they made me feel so welcome .Their gated neighborhood  is high end for Central (URL HIDDEN) upstairs bedroom has a window facing east and I witnessed one of the most spectacular sunrises in my life,its on Instagram under oregonspud.Happy 2017 Amigos. Oh..their little dog is adorable too.

Loida and her family made us feel at home. We were able to share beautiful moments with the whole family and were always there to lend a hand in what we needed. They even took us to the beach of Cobanos so we can make Snorkel! Thank you all for making us spend such a nice stay, miss. Highly recommended!

Living room and the room is large and the kitchen was also easy to use. Mario will come out late this morning and in late evening we used almost the entire house. In a large supermarket near the house you can buy the necessary goods. Centro until you can easily go on foot to take the bus in front 30 minutes from the house.

It was very nice place to stay .. very private and safe ! I highly recommend it if you travel to El Salvador.

Cinco Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful. Every detail was considered. We immediately felt comfortable and relaxed.
