Places to stay in San Francisco
The suite is conveniently located steps away from major bus lines and minutes from some of the best SF has to offer!! Located in sunny Silver Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco only a ten minute cab ride to the airport and ten more to the heart of the city. Close aproximity to freeways keeps cab ride fares low!
Enjoy your very own newly rennovated private suite. The suite is bright and airy. There's a quaint kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities to make a great meal (e.g. coffee maker, burner top, and toaster oven). A built-in table with swivel bar stools is across the way for a cozy sit down dining experience. The suite is outfitted with a queen Tempurpedic mattress for optimal sleeping comfortability. There is also a sofa which can be converted to a bed. I provide all the linens for the bed as well as the sofa sleeper. I have a flat screen Tv that can be connected to the internet with the use of your laptop. I do not have cable Tv. The bathroom is tucked behind a barn door for complete privacy. There's a frameless standing shower big enough for 2 people, vanity with plenty of counter space, and large walk-in closet. I provide hand soap, blow dryer, towels, and toilet paper. I believe you will really enjoy the space that I have created. Happy travels!
  • I can't get over how nice this studio was! Beautiful decorations, central location, great amenities, perfectly clean, amazing host! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in San Francisco and would definitely stay there myself again. Thanks, Lauren!

  • Loved staying here, such a beautiful place. The location wasn't the best and you can hear every footstep from above. But the pictures perfectly describe it.

  • Lauren is an excellent hostess . She always attention to us very friendly and kind. We arrived late and she was waiting for us. The place is like the photos, clean, beautiful , comfortable, excellent. It has everything you need. The house isn't in downtown or in the touristic places, but In the corner of the house is the bus stop . Its about 4 minutes in bus to Courtland Ave, you can found variety of delicious restaurants. Its an excelente place to stay in San Francisco. It was my first time using Airbnd and it was excellent. I recommend this place 100% Thank you Lauren!

  • Great place, close enough to downtown which is only a $10 dollar Lyft or Uber ride. Really modern and clean. Will definitely recommend to others

    Konner 2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very clean and stylish, with everything you need provided. The neighborhood was kind of hard to navigate through and a little shady but the place itself was great! Thank you again.

  • Fantastic value, wonderful garden and quick Uber into the City. Do recommend.

  • Very nice and clean space, ideally for two people. Satisfied with my stay there!

    Angeline2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot. We thought it would be closer to City than it was, but it had everything we needed.

You'll love this listing w/ your breathtaking balcony! Comes w/ 2 rooms, personal massage chair, memory foam mattresses, TV w/ free Netflix, Prime Video, & Disney+, full kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove/oven), 2 bathrooms (shared w/ other guests), free/easy street parking, easy access from SFO (14min drive) & downtown SF (15min drive, 3min walk to T Muni line to downtown). The smaller second room (w/ full bed) is connected to and accessed through larger front room (w/ queen & twin bed & futon).
All of the beds are memory foam and very comfortable! Please note that while your rooms are 100% private with a lock on it that only you will have, you will be sharing the kitchen and two bathrooms with three other Airbnb rooms. This is part of the fun though as you can meet different people from around the world who are staying here with you. Access to the kitchen and bathrooms is usually fine as most people spend the majority of their time out and about in the city, but sometimes during peak travel times you may feel the house being a little more full. So to be very clear, you will see several other Airbnb guests in the home who are living close to you (the nature of such a dense city as San Francisco) and sharing the kitchen and bathrooms, but as you can see in the reviews that my guests have loved their time here as people are usually very friendly and respectful. You're two bedrooms are connected, and you will need to go through one to get to the other from the balcony or to the kitchen and bathrooms (as seen in the pictures). So these are not two fully separate bedrooms. You also have a space heater in your room so that you can control your temperature. Whether you are coming in the summer or the winter, you will enjoy the weather here in San Francisco as it is usually between 60 and 75 degrees, making your balcony a very enjoyable experience all year round. There is nothing better than after a day of enjoying the sites to be able to come back and sit under the stars and see the beautiful views of SF on a back deck! We live in one of the best areas in San Francisco for parking. Most places you'll need to pay for parking or drive around for a while looking, but on my block there is free parking and you'll usually be able to park right by my house. The only time it'll be a little harder is late at night but even then you should be able to find a spot within a block or two.
Your stay will be in the Bayview District. It's a historic community with a lot of amazing character and people. You can look up more info online if you'd like to learn more.
  • Convenient location to the airport and City by car.

    Kirsten2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a decent place considering the San Francisco prices. The room was good but sharing the floor and bathroom with guests may not be for everyone

    Sultan2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, communication was quick and easy and they are very hospitable, great spot to be considering it's nestled in such a big and busy city.

  • My friends and I had a great stay here! The place was clean and comfortable. Nothing bad to say :)

    Joan2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sean's place is exactly how you see it in his photos. Sean was nice and very responsive to messages. We had a 3 bed room which opens on to the balcony- it was a very tiny balcony which shares with another room. 2 of the 3 beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean with reliable hot water with good pressure, one has a spa bath. Sean told us about an hour before he knew we were arriving that there were to be some renovations between our room and the tiny room between the balcony to add more beds. It was annoying when we found out because we were driving and couldn't do much, but it didn't end up bothering us because he made sure the workers came after we left the house and they were gone when we got home. The neighborhood is a little run down, it doesn't have all the typical beautiful buildings, we had to drive around to see them. There is free off street parking. San Fran was pretty expensive for accommodation so it was an inexpensive place to put our heads, we didn't spend much time in the house. We didn't use the kitchen at all but it was available and was quite big. Sean has asked me to give all 5 stars to keep a super host status, I have given 5 stars because the accommodation matches what the pictures show and is accurate to the description.

    Sarah2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • T'en minutes from downtown. Parking is abundant

    Ruben2019-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • I really appreciated all the help and support Sean provided during our stay. He was very attentive, clear in instructions and fast to respond — even though we communicated only via messaging! While Sean’s place is a bit further away from the city, it’s only about a $5-10 Uber Pool ride away.

  • It seems far from the hub of the city but it’s only a 20 minute bus ride for $3! Amazing value for one of the most expensive places in America. Guests in other rooms were super nice too.

    Natalie2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • I really liked the kitchen facility. Room no. 2 alloted to me is adequte for a single occupancy. This room lacks a wardrobe to keep your clothing. Christina is a nice host and responds well when contacted. Guests must memorise the lock code as without it you may get locked out. The house is neat and tidy.

  • Budi has been great with us. A real guide who gives advices and takes Time to explain you what to see in SF. A perfect Host! And the room we stay in was big and clean. The location of the home is pretty convenient. I recommend

    Sonia2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent value. Lovely people share this home and everybody is gracious and helpful. The kitchen has everything you need and there are multiple markets within walking distance. The garden is beautiful full of flowers and greenery. The hospitality is a wonderful welcome to SF.

    Brian2015-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Budi was a very gracious host. The room was clean and he even provided some snacks and bottled water.

    Damien2016-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Budi's place is located in a nice spot. Real close to the golden gate park and other sight seeing places. This was my first airbnb where I stayed in room while other residents lived there. They were extremely accommodating and I didn't even feel like anyone is there. If you like coffee or tea they usually had that ready to go in the morning. Really sweet of them. The room I stayed in was spacious and has a warm feel to it and the memory foam mattress was perfect for coming back to after venturing around San Fransisco. All in all for the cost its extremely worth it.

    Michael2018-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. The location is perfect to explore San Francisco by foot/bike/bus. Budi is a very friendly host and the private room was nice. Definitely would do it again.

    Dirk2016-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Quite clean place to stay, very easy to check in and out, would recommend this for a convenient place to stay for a short time.

    Sean2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Budi's communication was EXCELLENT. The room was bigger than I had expected and the bed was extremely comfortable. Two bus lines pretty much visible from the front door making transportation around the city very easy. Would absolutely stay again!

    Kaylee2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Budi was amazing with us! Although we didn't have the time to talk much we really felt like home Thank you again for your hospitality and hopefully we will be back in San Francisco soon!

Imagine falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. This clean, quiet garden apartment is perfect for the nature loving city dweller. Steps from the beach, Golden Gate Park, the Zoo and more. Ample street parking and MUNI train 2 blocks away.
Private in-law apartment offering 2 beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable rooms. The bedroom includes a queen bed with crisp linens a down comforter, warm wool rug, beautiful art and closet and dresser for your belongings. The second room is a living space with a couch that converts to a full bed, a separate comfortable reading chair and lamp. The 42" flat screen is equipped with Apple TV and high speed wireless internet. The kitchenette is fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes. A microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, 5 cup coffee maker, electric induction counter top range and small fridge complete the kitchen and make it operational for light cooking. Complimentary coffee, tea and a bottle of wine offered to all guests. The private bathroom is small but bright and clean with shower over tub, complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The private garden has a bistro table making it a perfect spot for morning coffee while listening to the waves and surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. Ample, free street parking available in the neighborhood.
The "outerlands" as this area of the city used to be called is where nature meets urban, widely and wonderfully. Families, surfers, artists, hipsters, techies and eccentrics come together to create a multicultural neighborhood that is dominated by the ocean and the sky! Really I think the Sunset District is San Francisco's best kept secret. It is clean and safe and quiet at night. You are about a half hour from the hustle and bustle of downtown (by car or public transport). Out here the streets are wider, the backyards bigger, and free parking is easy to find. People who like the outdoors love the location, especially for surfing, jogging, cycling, and hiking. Typically the Sunset can be foggy in June and July, but is clear and beautiful most of the rest of the year. Fall is stellar. Yearly temperatures hover in the 60-65 degrees. Golden Gate Park is only 4 blocks north and is filled with absolutely everything you can imagine: free concerts, archery ranges, entertainment pools, beautiful gardens, a bison paddock, polo field, duck ponds, and everything that you could possibly imagine! Including, The Academy of Science Museum, De Young art museum, and Japanese Tea Garden, The Arboretum and Conservatory of Flowers, plus great hiking, running and biking trails. We're also a popular destination for marathon participants and concert-goers, with events nearby like Bay to Breakers, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, and Outside Lands. There is a beautiful 5 mile walking path directly across from my home. It spans from Sloat Blvd. to the Cliff House/Sutro Baths. Popular restaurants include: Thanh Long, Outerlands, Cliff House, Beach Chalet & Brewery, Celia's Mexican Restaurant, Sunset Reservoir Brewery Company, Devils Teeth Bakery, Andy Town Coffee shop, Java Beach Café and many more. Great choice of shops selling locally made surfboards, jewelry and art... The Last Straw, San Franpsyco apparel, Establish and The General Store just to name a few.
  • This home is beautiful and located right across the street from the beach. Heather puts a lot of attention and detail into her home to make it perfect for her guests!

    Tiffany2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Although lovely, the pictures do not do Heathers place justice. It was perfectly appointed, clean and located in a fantastic setting...truly right across from the ocean. I am, admittedly, kind of a mattress and linen snob. I know it doesn't make sense for Airbnb owners to invest a huge amount in these areas, as they likely need to be replaced often, but that mattress sure hit the spot. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Heather!

    Nancy2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Exactly as it was in the pictures. Nice quiet area and easy to get into the city. Would definitely recommend. Heather was a great host. Friendly and always willing to help with any questions.

    Bethan2016-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • My best friend and I stayed here for a super quick girls weekend and it was the PERFECT location - literally steps away from an amazing beach. Heather was prompt with communication and gave us TONS of great recos for the area. This place is a beautiful gem, I highly recommend it.

    Brandi2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our four day three night stay was absolutely fantastic! Everything about the apartment met or exceeded our expectations. The bedroom area was comfortable and the bed was perfect. Off the bedroom area you exited glass sliders to your private patio, lush with flowers. The bathroom has a wonderful shower and fully stocked. In the living/ kitchen area there is ample space to prepare freshly ground and brewed coffee, while then relaxing on the couch to watch the news. Literally across the street is the beach, ideal for strolls or taking in the sunset. You are a very short ride to the SF Zoo, Golden Gate Park, Cliff House. Within a short walk are some incredible eateries and coffee shops. The host has fully appointed the apartment, respects your privacy and has lots of reference material and personal tips. I would definitely return. This place is fantastic!

    Dave2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Heather’s place was so clean and home away from home. It was easy to park (which we were nervous about) and it was steps away from the stunning beach! There was a cute little coffee shop two blocks down that we enjoyed walking to. We were still technically in the city, but definitely in the quieter and homier area. Highly suggest Heather’s place again. Great little touches too. Everything you ever needed!!

    Melissa2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Heather's great place! Perfect location for taking the N-Judah train to embarcadero and Bay 2 Breakers, and really easy to walk home after the race ( well, shuffle may be a better word!) super clean, cozy and comfortable. Great hot water in the shower. We want to come back next year!

My home is a sunny, 3-story Victorian house in the center of San Francisco, in a tranquil neighborhood called Noe Valley. We have many nearby restaurants and shops. I'm one mile from the heart of Mission District, one hill away from The Castro, and it's easy to take the streetcar to Union Square and The Embarcadero. Your bedroom has a queen-sized bed and shares a bathroom with other guests. Free street parking available with some restrictions. SF Short-Term Rental Reg #STR1278
The available bedroom has wood floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light. It has one queen-sized bed and comes with towels and bedding.
My neighborhood is called Noe Valley and it is known for its sunshine and peaceful atmosphere. It is a short walk from my house to the Mission District, which has some of the best restaurants in the city and much more nightlife.
  • The house is beautiful, clean and the host is nice. However it is more of a hostel rather than Airbnb place. There are simply too many guests staying in the house, with four bedrooms rented our. So, very often you have to wait for the toilet and bathroom in the mornings&evenings.

    Emilia Elizabeth2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great space!

    Rachel2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing victorian house and host Maria. Big, clean and confortable room and shared bathroom. Quiet neighborhood. We really enjoy our stay. We move with Uber all over the city and was easy and pretty cheap.

    Estela2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's place looks better that in the photographs posted on the site. It's tastefully decorated and welcoming. The location is ideal - a quiet area which is in walking distance to may areas of interest in the city. Although we spent there one night only we enjoyed our stay very much and will go back when we have the opportunity to visit San Francisco again.

    David2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Maria's was great! We couldn't get there until late, but the ease of check-in made it seem like a breeze. The house is gorgeous and even though you're renting just a room, it still feels really private! She even gave us a gift certificate for coffee and breakfast at the corner coffee house. I highly recommend!

    Jessica2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Maria can be one of the best hostesses ever. She is super kind and really makes you feel welcomed. ,We visited at 31th of oktober and she generously shared some costumes with us so that we could join the fun on 24th Street. Thank you Maria for an amazing experience!

Enjoy a victorian garden getaway with your own secluded private bedroom with integrated bathroom in a Garden Victorian in Glen Park. Relax or sit outside at the patio table and admire the garden. Bedroom is completely private and faces the back yard with private entrance. 5 blocks from the Glen Park BART Station. Street parking is easy in the neighborhood, you can park all day long. Street cleaning is every other week and on different sides of the street,
The rental is a private bedroom with an integrated bathroom that faces the backyard garden of the Victorian home. There is a separate entrance to the backyard to access the bedroom so you have all the privacy you could want. Glen Park/Sunnyside is a quiet residential neighborhood in San Francisco. Glen Park has a cute village feel and has some great restaurants and shops. Since it is just a few BART stops (or a 5-10 minute drive) from downtown and the more crowded parts of San Francisco, it provides a tranquil refuge for your stay.
  • Super comfortable place to stay, easy to get around.

    Vincent2017-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was very cozy, and the gardens we're beautiful! It was the perfect spot to relax after visiting in the city all day. It felt like we were in our own private world!

    Elysia2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Chip and Eddie were great hosts. In the beginning I was a little worried that the place would be too small but honestly it was perfect for just us two. It included everything, they honestly do put a lot of thought into accommodating their guests and that’s a great touch. Of course since we got in after a delayed flight the coffee and snack basket was a score. We sure did appreciate that. We met Chip as we were checking in and throughout our stay both Eddie and Chip were available with quick responses for any questions we had. It was also a great location just a short walking distance from the BART station and that’s how we got around everywhere in the city. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place! Thank you Chip and Eddie for the wonderful hospitality! Eliza & Javy

    Eliza2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Eddie’s little cottage. The location was convenient and the cottage had all the essentials + some snacks! It’s a -10 min walk to coffee shop. Eddie was very accommodating and responded quickly. We would stay here again!

    Jessie2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Eddie's place is really beautiful. The thoughtful touches, including shampoo/conditioner, shave gel, extra towels, straight iron, snacks, and water, exceeded our expectations and help to make our stay extra comfortable. The space itself, as well as the patio and garden, are really charming. We wished we could have stayed longer!

    Jennifer2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful retreat in San Francisco! The hosts were more than gracious, even surprising us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our engagement! Highly recommended!

  • Great location and even though it’s a small cottage it was bigger then my hotel room in union square. Check in was easy and the garden was chill. I ate some of the snacks they left out and I must say that ramen came in clutch. Thanks guys.

This is a tiny hostel in a house! Since we opened in 2014 we've had: - more than 4,000 guests - countless friendships! - multiple marriages from guests meeting here This is the place for you if you love: - meeting people from all over the world - making new friends - going on adventures in our pretty city - chill vibes (e.g. 420 friendly) - dogs (we have a pup!) and don't mind: - sharing space with others (4 per room)
I just asked some of our guests how to describe this space and they said: "Cozy", "Homey", "Welcoming", and "Respectful". There's a comfy living room with board games and guitars! Also, two bathrooms with hair dryers and plenty of towels
We're in the best part of the Mission with a rock climbing gym, incredible food, and the best coffee, all under a 5 minute walk. We're happy to show you the best local hangouts, bars, etc.
  • Zain n Duncan n Simon were amazing hosts. The stay was very comfortable. The rooms, bathroom n kitchen were neat n clean... The best part was.... In the 5 days I stayed there, I met people from all over the world.... what more can I say!! A definite recommendation!! It is an experience in itself in San Francisco!!!

  • I stay here for two nights. Everything was ok for me.

    Jennifer2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place definitely lived up to my expectations based on the previous reviews! I didn't get the chance to meet Zain, but Duncan was nice and informative. There's always people dropping by, and music playing yet it's still a nice chill atmosphere with generally great vibes. Perfect location with much to do within walking distance. If you're considering venturing out it's still a great location, with my longest commute being about 35 mins (Sausalito). As a first time solo female traveler I always felt comfortable, and most if not all the other guests I met were also solo travelers. You'll get to meet some nice people and possibly even explore the city together. If you're anything like me, introverted, shy, and wanting to push yourself outside of your comfort zone this is a great place to accomplish that. This was my first AirBnB experience and the only problem I find myself having is wondering if my future experiences will live up to this one.

    Myrsha2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Zain and Duncan embody the home sharing spirit with their strong desire to not only provide a space to sleep, but a magical experience. I was lucky enough to arrive on the night of their house warming party, and they and all their incredible friends made me feel like just another member of the gang. Not only was everyone smart, funny, and open-hearted but there was also a live band that played from the loft area. If you want to feel like you've been living in the Mission for years, I couldn't recommend the Treat Street Clubhouse more highly.

    Shane2015-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time- comfortable bed, plenty of space, clean (especially the bathroom) and the location was great. Having a washer on the premises was another perk- I just wish I didn't bring my own towel because they had loads of clean ones to use! Generous and welcoming hosts that I'd recommend to anyone- thank you for letting me stay!

Your own private room and bathroom just for your group. House is on a big hill with a great view. Plenty of 72-hour free parking in front. Free maps, breakfast food and advice about what to do in San Francisco. As part of the booking procedure, my house rules require you send me this sentence via the Airbnb message thread: "Kevin, I have read your listing and house rules carefully and I agree to follow what you wrote." If you don't, you forfeit your reservation and money.
This room can fit 8 people. Nobody else will stay in your room other than people in your group. The bunk bed sleeps two, the two full size beds sleep four, and two more can sleep on the floor on two twin size mattresses. There is a private bathroom with a shower stall attached to this room. Please read my house rules before you book and the day before your arrival, as there are extra charges for not adhering to some of the rules. I strive for transparency here, and the rules are reasonable and for your benefit. If you incur an extra charge, such as for early or late arrival and/or scheduling, for laundry service or to store your luggage, I give you weeks to pay and never demand it at once. Don't be intimidated as the rules help almost everyone have a delightful stay, as you can see in the reviews. I charge $20 extra for the following: asking me if you may, telling me you will or actually arriving early, or late before midnight. If you ask, I will say yes, so please don't ask, especially since asking itself triggers the charge, because I change my plans immediately upon someone asking, in anticipation they will arrive outside free check in hours. Instead, tell me your arrival plans and I will make them work. If you ask, I will simply say "Yes" anyway, so there is no need to ask. Of course, you do need to tell me when you are coming. Please do not just show up early or late without warning. This home is in effect a hostel because I host simultaneous groups of guests in multiple rooms. You must write your legal full name, including any middle name(s) in an Airbnb message to me before you arrive, and you must show me your Government issued identification that shows the same name to me that you wrote in the message, and they must exactly match as when you buy an airplane ticket. You must not park on my block until 3 minutes before check in, because I need to observe where you park to be sure it's in front of my house and not in front of the house of someone else. I can't believe I need to say it, but no matter how much you need to go, do not urinate outdoors, particularly in the bushes or behind your car. Come in the house and use the toilet. This is an issue of great importance, and if you pee outside, you lose your reservation and your money, as the neighbors will complain if they see you urinate. Yes, this has happened more than once, and I cover this in the house rules. But since many guests never read the house rules, I am putting it up front near the top of my listing so everyone will know that if anyone in your group pees (or poops or vomits) outside that the entire group can't stay or continue their stay here. This is a peaceful, quiet and safe neighborhood, and my neighbors are understandably protective of their street. Airbnb displays my reviews written in your language first, so by looking at the default display of reviews, you will not get a complete picture of how many international guests stay here. Here is a link where you can see all my reviews in chronological order: https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/4921. As of July 2019 I have hosted guests from 72 countries. My house rules require that you use only the Airbnb messaging system to communicate electronically with me, so only book here if you will carry a phone with data and the Airbnb app at all times, as you may not use SMS Text or voice mail to communicate with me. Of course you may call, but I only pick up calls I recognize, so you must tell me to put your name into my phone when you book if you anticipate you will call me. If you don't, I will not answer as I have had my phone number for decades and I get so many spam calls I just don't answer or listen to voice mails from numbers I don't recognize. About 99% of my guests never call me or use SMS Texts with me, and I am trying to get that percentage to 100%. This detached house was built in 1958 and has five bedrooms and is located on a huge hill near Twin Peaks and Golden Gate Park. I offer up to five bedrooms simultaneously on Airbnb and elsewhere so there will be other guests here during your stay, possibly more than two dozen. The house has deferred maintenance, is tired, old, mostly original from 1958, and in some small areas needs maintenance at once. Do not book here if this will bother you at all. If you make a mistake and book this room and only discover the condition when you check in, then you must keep quiet about your mistake and make no mention of any distasteful quality of my home in a review, because I warned you up front and told you that you may not stay here. People stay here for my exceptionally warm welcome, my helpful tourist advice, to meet my amazing toddler, to meet my amazing other guests and to feel safe because I live here and enforce the rules so people have a wonderful experience, which you can learn about from my reviews. If you complain in a review about anything I disclose in this listing, I will alert Airbnb, as it is a house rule violation to do so, and house rules are binding on guests just like laws are binding. The penalty for you for publicly disparaging my home is far more severe than you might expect, and I will leave it at that. Please stay elsewhere if you expect a 5 star home, as it's a 3 star property but with a 5 star host providing 5 star service in a 5 star location in a 5 star city. Airbnb requires the account holder to sleep at listings each night, so you must use your own account to book your stay here or at any Airbnb worldwide. If the account holder is not here, nobody else can be here either, even a spouse. See the numbered house rules for details. Airbnb reservations are not transferrable. Think of an Airbnb reservation like you would an airplane ticket in that the names must agree. Never share access to your Airbnb account for traveling. There is plenty of free 72-hour parking in front of my house on the street, but not inside the house as the check box I checked suggests. You are welcome to make use of my personal kitchen. There is a large living room with a large dining room table you can eat or work at. There is a deck out back that has a fabulous view of wooded hills, but it's for our dog Angel, not guests. The nearest house out back is a block away, so you feel like you are living in a forest. Your cleaning fee of $10 covers the cleaning of your room and bathroom, and nothing else. Your use of my kitchen and living room is conditioned on you agreeing that you are sharing my home and I clean my home less often and with less care than I clean your room. In other words, expect a cleanliness level of about an 8 out of 10 for your room but only a 5 out of 10 for the common areas. It's a constant job for me to keep the common areas clean because of how many people reside here simultaneously. If you enter the kitchen when there are five other guests cooking, of course it will be a mess, but that does not mean my home is undesirable. In fact, it's the huge number of guests that stay here that makes it so fun and exciting. I host numerous travelers a year here. Before you criticize my housekeeping, please consider how you would keep your home clean if you this many people living with you yearly. I work hard and this is a warm, safe and charming home that thousands of guests love. Angel, our Border Collie dog, will bark a lot and be very excited to see you, so your group may not stay here if you or anyone in your group discloses they are fearful of dogs. My wife and I have a toddler, so I have disabled the front stove burners, leaving just three working burners for all to share. I don't want my daughter reaching up and grabbing a hot pan that could kill or maim her, so that's why the burners are out of service until perhaps 2020. I provide one bath towel per person per stay and also sheets and blankets. There are two five-foot-wide closets. I don't provide wash cloths in the bathroom, but you can get your own wash cloths by the sink in the kitchen. I don't provide hand towels, so expect to dry your hands on your bath towel. If you want to cook while you're here, you can store food in the mini refrigerator dedicated to your room. You may not store food or eat in your room. Please drink only water in your room. You have no access to a freezer as the mini fridge is all refrigerator. The closest underground Municipal Railway (MUNI) station is Forest Hill. You can walk there in 15 minutes. The 36 MUNI bus stops there and will take you to and from the house. The bus stop is right in front of the house. This bus is lightly used and only comes every 30 minutes, so many prefer to walk to the station. Uber and Lyft are affordable in San Francisco, and many of my guests bypass public transit entirely in favor of ride sharing services. The house is centrally located near the geographic center of San Francisco, but it is not close to bars, shops, tourist spots, nightlife or anything other than private residences and hiking. That means this location is unusually quiet and even peaceful for a busy city like San Francisco. I provide extensive breakfast ingredients, so you can cook breakfast free of charge, which can save you a lot of money versus eating out. You can make yourself a second or third breakfast for lunch or dinner, but I would like you to leave some money in the refrigerator if you do. Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 7:00. I ask that you whisper quietly after 22:00, and not watch any movies without earphones. Please don’t move around much or pack your bags during quiet time. You should also not plan to sleep soundly past 7:00 if you stay here. When a dozen or two dozen people start walking around, cooking breakfast, showering and talking with each other, the house is full of energy and can be very noisy. I provide earplugs to help you sleep even if others are snoring. The floors squeak, the plumbing groans, the walls are scuffed, the kitchen is 60 years old, the shower tiles are permanently stained... in other words, the house is old, tired and dilapidated, even though this is a million dollar house. Sometimes we get ants or mice indoors because the house is inside an actual forest filled with wild animals like racoons, coyotes, skunks, mice and hawks. Mice and ants sometimes come indoors, but a sighting is very rare. If such proximity to nature will disturb you then you must not book here, and if you do, you may not complain about it in a review, as I have warned you. Don't stay here if you want to feel like you are staying at a five star hotel. Yes, my listing has five stars or close to it, but that's more about my hospitality and enthusiasm for meeting people than the physical surroundings. I charge a cleaning fee of only $10, so don't expect five star hotel levels of cleanliness. I am booked nearly every night in every room, so there is rarely time for a deep cleaning. The public areas are less likely to be clean than your room and bathroom because my wife and I are raising a toddler, so expect the clutter, dust, dirt, sloppiness, imperfection and chaos that comes with raising a daughter while also hosting over 1,000 Airbnb guests a year. If you expect or desire true cleanliness, I respectfully invite and absolutely require you to stay somewhere else. Remember, a Border Collie dog lives here and she sheds fur constantly. I only promise to vacuum the common areas on days when guests check in, which is frequently. But on my days off, dust and hair will accumulate. You will encounter dog hair here, there's no possible way to keep the house hair free. I pick off any hair I find, but again, you only are paying $10 per stay for cleaning, so this is not the Ritz. By booking here, you agree to leave a review and star rating that reflects the peculiarities of the Airbnb platform, and if you don't agree, you cannot stay here. Airbnb follows the lead of Uber in that both require very, very high ratings to be a part of the platforms. Airbnb requires hosts maintain a 4.7 rating out of 5 stars to be a host. I have read that Uber makes the same demands of its drivers. Since a host can't be a 4 star host or a 3 star host or a 2 star host or a 1 star host, guests are put in the position of leaving a 5 star rating for every host they like well enough not to vote to remove from Airbnb. I will expect a 5 star rating from you if your experience is how I describe it will be in this listing. If you give any less, you are in effect attempting to fire me and deprive me of my income. This is a crazy system I know, and it's relatively new to Airbnb. For years, there was no published lower limit to how badly a host could be reviewed but remain a host. Please read and have everyone in your party read my house rules before you book and the day before your arrival, as there are extra charges for not adhering to some of the rules. Safety note: On October 31, 2019 I read a disturbing news article from Vice, a major news website in the United States, entitled "I Accidentally Uncovered a Nationwide Scam on Airbnb." The scam is as follows: A few minutes before check in, the host telephones the guest and says the unit is uninhabitable due to a prior guest's behavior (ie plugged up the toilet, flooding the place). The scammer offers to accommodate the guest in another listing the scammer operates. The scammer gets the guest to agree to modify the reservation officially on Airbnb to the new listing. Then, the new place turns out to be unacceptable, often with rodents and general uncleanliness. But the guest is stuck because they agreed to the change and since the scammer communicated by telephone, there is no written record in the Airbnb message thread for a Case Manager at Airbnb to review. When the guest asks Airbnb for a refund, often nothing can be done, or only a partial refund is given. To avoid being scammed, as soon as a potential host tells you the original booked place is not available for any reason, ask the host to write out the issue in the Airbnb message thread. Then end the phone call and immediately telephone Airbnb. They are always open, even on holidays and even late at night. Explain what happened and ask Airbnb to help you find a new Airbnb to stay at. Don't accept any help from the scammer, and certainly don't cancel your reservation yourself. Any cancellation must be done by the host or by Airbnb so you don't suffer the potentially 100% cost penalty for cancelling yourself. Never believe a host that promises to refund you money. Once a host starts with a scam, as quickly as possible, stop talking and ask the host to only write to you via the Airbnb message thread. No emails, no SMS texts and no phone calls, because Airbnb can't see such communications. I suggest you read the article I referenced. I am writing this warning because such scammers are a threat to the platform, and I hate to learn that anyone is cheated. Remember, on Airbnb, a host can use any name, and Airbnb allows and supports this practice. A host can use your name if they like. So, if you are scammed, the name you see on the profile is nearly certainly not the name of the actual person that scammed you. Please be careful out there. If this worries you, please telephone Airbnb to discuss how to protect yourself. Only two or three of my guests have been scammed by other hosts, that I know about, so the likelihood is low, but still, please be safe.
  • Kevin and his 20 month y.o. daughter Yivin are wonderful host. Nice location with a good neighborhoods.

  • Kevin’s place is a great place to stay if you travel to San Francisco. Kevin is very kind and helpful. His house is clean and has a good location. The neighborhood is great and safe.

  • Kevin made us feel very welcome from the start and actually spent time on giving us tips of what not to miss and what to avoid in the city. He was accurate in every single thing. The room was as shown on photo. Also very very warm at night, heating worked perfectly, cozy, house is in great location, nice environment.Great original San Francisco experience !

  • Kevin's home was amazing - my colleague and I really felt like at home there. Kevin was a great host - he took the time to advise us about things to see and to do in San Francisco so we felt like locals. He was very welcoming and accommodating, even did laundry for us! Breakfast was also provided, which was a nice surprise at Airbnb. Kevin's house is a quiet house, but there are possibilities to interact with him and his girlfriend as well as other Airbnb guests - a truly international environment, but you can still have your privacy if you wish. Everything was really smooth - from late check-in to accessing the house on a daily basis. Public transportation is within walking distance and really easy to reach. Kevin's house was really a home away from home and we loved staying there!

    Ieva2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Technically the second time I stayed at Kevin's house. He is a great host and this room is probably the best he offers as both the room and bathroom are private. If you are looking for a place to stay in SF and don't mind being in Twin Peaks, then book while you can! Also props for the breakfast, better than most hotels.

This is a nice room in a four bedroom house in the Mission District. It has a very comfy queen sized bed, plus an extra bed/chair can be pull out for extra guest. There is a swing, huge windows that face the street, fast internet connection, Smart TV and access to a drum set that you can use during your stay. You also would have access to our unit downstairs with an extra kitchen and bathroom/shower and the chance to meet fellow travelers.
The house sits right next to the oldest standing house in San Francisco, our house is about the same age, with its quirks and weird architectural design. It might not be fancy but has a lot of character and charm. There is a toilet/sink room and a separate shower room with an extra sink, a large kitchen and laundry area in the back.
The house is located just one block away from all the fun of 24th st. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, galleries, markets and street art around. The Mission is one of the districts that offers more fun in San Francisco, there are plenty of restaurants, galleries, coffee shops, bars and clubs to visit. Lots of parks too: Potrero Del Sol park, Garfield Square and Precita Park are just a short walk away. ~~PARKING INFORMATION~~ There is no private parking in this building, only street parking. San Francisco has one of highest real estate prices in the country (or world) which makes private parkings a luxury that not too many residents enjoy. If you are bringing a car into the city (not recommended unless you are doing road trips outside) please plan ahead and be aware that traffic, driving directions and parking in the city might be a hassle, especially if you are not familiar with local traffic and parking rules. Your car might be parked free in most streets around the house but pay attention to the posted parking restrictions, time limits, cleaning days, red or yellow zones, blocking driveways etc. This rules are enforced and fines are very expensive. The closest private garage is by SF General Hospital (about 2 blocks away) On 24th st between Utah and San Bruno fares are about $15/night.
  • Affordable and a nice place as well. Definitely recommend

  • Leon and Maria were very chill hosts who made me feel right at home, awesome area to stay as well, lots of Latino culture and great tacos.

    Toby2019-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay. The room was a fun place to be with the drum set and many other instruments. Also having a skateboard swing in the room was very unique and fun . I would stay here again. Beats a boring hotel room.

  • So fantastic drum set room

    Matsuike2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you're on a budget and don't plan to spend a ton of time in the room, this is a fine place. Fine but not particularly special or nice. Felt way more like a hostel than a $100+ a night space. Not gross, but not particularly clean and sparkling. Kitchen in particular was very much a place I did not want to use based on cleanliness. But for the neighborhood it's probably a good deal and we had a great time in the City.

    Stephanie2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Leon’s place was perfect for our single night in the city! Great space for creatives who like to be surrounded by inspiration. We had no problem finding street parking. The place was clean and Leon is wonderful with timely communication.

    Maleia2018-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lion's place is within walking distance to BART, just over 10 minutes and then about 10 minutes to the city. The room is as described, some street noise but it wasn't bothersome. It was a self check in and out process. There is another room being rented as well but you have a lock on your door, which I didn't worry about using. The room was clean but other areas were a bit dusty. This place is good if your trying to watch your dollars. Cool and grungy area to explore.

  • Great place, great host. I am on school San Franciscan (no, really. I grew up there), and it was just what I wanted. Reasonably priced, near a gaggle of great old school restaurants and shops, near to GGP. Berto was fantastic. Really accommodating, and super helpful.

    Austin2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Location was convenient, not too far from a number of restaurants and a 15 min walk from the closest bart station. Room is small, poorly decorated, with limited furniture space for clothes (I had 10 days worth of clothes that wouldnt fit), curtains are very thin and light would easily go through, there was dust inside all the drawers, and on the wall corners including spider webs. The room temperature was very cold, sheets were overly used. The toilet was just fine, shower as well with towel provided

    Sacha2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Decent enough place; diminished for me some by faint aroma of weed inside, plus noise from neighbors though the closed window late at night - but maybe those are a given in the city these days.

This home has a nice sized private bedroom with a queen sized futon mattress for 1 guest and shared use of the breakfast nook located in the kitchen area which can be used for office or eating or relaxing. The back of the home where the bedroom is located is very private and quiet. The kitchen is shared and lightly used. The bathroom is shared and has a full bath and shower for your use. Laundry facility is 4 blocks away. This home is centrally located in the Sunset District in between the hustling and bustling restaurants and bars of inner sunsets 9th Ave. to the east and the Ocean with its beautiful beaches and sightseeing to the west. It is a 4 block walk to Golden Gate Park and a 3 block walk to the N Judah metro which will take you to downtown S.F. in 30m, or to the ocean in 10m. There are restaurants, bars and markets within blocks of walking distance and the 9th Ave corridor is only a 10m metro ride or a nice brisk walk along the Irving Street commercial corridor. Close to the Ocean and blocks from Golden Gate Park. Quiet neighborhood. Easy transportation.
  • We had a great time staying at Allen's place. It is bright, clean, conveniently located (great coffee places like DRIP'D and a variety of breakfast diners a few tram stops from the house, 15 minutes to downtown). Allen gave us helpful advise on where to go, yet we hardly ever saw him, so we mostly had the whole place to ourselves: with kitchen, bathroom and everything to recharge and relax after a long day of climbing San Francisco hills :-) The Internet connection would sometimes drop for a while or get really slow, which is not an issue for most people, but as I work during travels, I noticed. I hope Allen fixes that in the future. To summarize: great place, highly recommended.

    Artur2013-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved staying with Allen. Like the listing says, this is a very private space in the back of the house. Allen wasn't around too much but when he was home was very enjoyable to talk with and get to know. As a San Francisco native, Allen knows the city well! His house is located very close to the N train, Golden Gate Park, and restaurants and everything was clean and private.

    Jennifer2014-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very private room in the back of the house and the bathroom is next to our bedroom. The room is big and clean, very nice. The house is situated in a quiet area but 5 mins walk to N to go to downtown, very convenient. We arrived late because of delayed flight due to Chicago control tower fire and Allen waited us patiently and told us where to have dinner. We enjoyed our stay in SFO.

  • Great host, great location, great experience. Shame we didn't get to see more of him but overall he was very accommodating. Would highly reccommend Allen's space.

  • Allen is a very nice guy. He provided a very lovely house for my friend and me. San Francisco impressed me very much. I love this wonderful place.

    Rachel2015-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Allen's room was clean and the neighborhood is quiet and easy to park in. Allen was a great host. He answered our questions and also allowed us our privacy. He went out of his way to be accomodating. I would definitely stay here again!

    Rebecca2013-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was great to meet Allen and stay at his home, he is a great host and an experienced traveller, and helped us a lot in our days in San Francisco. The house is spacious and clean, the room is big, the neigborhood is quiet and safe, and I parked in front of the door every day. It's a free parking area, indeed a great value if you arrive by car. In only 2 blocks you will find the METRO, and you can go to the Pacific Ocean in a few minutes and to downtow in ~ 1/2 hour. Allen is a nice person, we talked a lot and about common interests and he made my wife and I feel like if we were in a friend's house. Strongly recommended!! Thank you Allen once again.

    Nacho2014-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Allen was a great host. We felt very home at his nice house and he was allways helpful to give us all the Information we needed. Its very close to the Ocean Beach and to the tram to downtown. We can really recommend this place.

  • Beautifully renovated room in a wonderful neighborhood. Jeffery was very friendly and attentive when we arrived and made sure that our stay was pleasant. We were impressed by the attention to detail throughout our stay. Would love to come back when we have more time to explore the area!

  • Really beautiful room in a lovely historic house, beautifully updated. Very clean hip decor, super modern bathroom. I think the ceiling must be 14 feet high! We loved it. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating with our special requests. Cool neighborhood, we'd love to stay there again.

You'll love this listing! It has three full beds (each with memory foam mattresses), personal massage chair, couch, space heater & fan, & large flat screen TV w/ complimentary Netflix, Prime Video, & Disney+. You have total usage of the kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, microwave, etc.) and two full bathrooms (shared w/ other guests). Easy, key-less self check-in. You'll have free/easy street parking, be a quick 14 min drive from SFO & downtown, 3 min walk to T train (which goes directly downtown).
Please note that while your room is 100% private with a lock on it that only you will have, you will be sharing the kitchen and two bathrooms with three other Airbnb rooms. Your large room has a lot of space! As mentioned earlier, all of the full beds have a memory foam mattress on it to make your stay very comfortable. You also have a space heater in your room so that you can control your temperature.
  • Sean's place is a great affordale option located very close to public transportation and has free parking! Selah was the one who checked in me and my friends and was very nice and accomadating bringing up an extra air mattres. I was very impressed with the amount of privacy I felt like we had considering there were groups of air bnb people in the other rooms and Sean's family downstairs, but at the same time Iif we had any questions they were around to answer! Thanks again guys :)

    Danielle2017-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable place to stay , parking is available and the host is great too .

    Eugene2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • It's a pretty lovely and cozy place. We got two heaters which is really useful in the cold SF night. It's pretty convenient for parking, too. But if you don't drive a car, it seems not that safe to walk in that zone. In all, it is a really wonderful staying in Sean's place.

    Jianxing2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is more like a youth hostel than a private home being hosted by a couple. No dedicated parking on the street, uncomfortable feel, doors have padlocks on the outside... crazy... We arrived late and decided to leave as it did not feel comfortable or safe. Very disappointing experience!

    Sean2018-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome bathroom and shower experience with comfy beds. The neighborhood seems a little rough around the edges but the affordability certainly makes up for it.

    Doug2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Really comfy and welcoming stay here! Super close to bayview park which had insanely beautiful views and outside of downtown enough to uber there to explore the city. The room has 3 big and extremely comfortable beds! Perfect if you’re trying to find something reasonable and nice. Thank you Sean and Selah for being so kind and chill! We appreciate you =)

    Gurneet2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fabulous time at Room 5! Loved the location! I took one of the bikes all over the city. The small room was cozy, perfect for just one person, and I loved the claw-foot tub in the bathroom. Josh was so friendly and helpful! I would certainly stay here again next time I come to visit.

    Pippin2013-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great if you just need a place to sleep at night! Easy check-in and check-out.

    Ashley2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location is absolutely fantastic. Close to Golden Gate Park and walking distance to all the shops at Haight. Josh is also a fantastic host and very responsive to emails and messages! While the room is quite well lit, the house is quite dark and when I checked in the bathroom had an odour. The room is quite small and would be best suited to someone just requiring a place to stay overnight as there’s no common area eg living room to hang out. Microwave, fridge and disposable utensils and cups provided but no area to do food prep - but being close to Haight St there’s heaps of food options around. Hope this helps!

    Dyan2017-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect with a local/organic grocery store nearby, good cafes and restaurants, great access to the Golden Gate Park, and two close bus lines to downtown. The room was small, but it had everything that I needed and was very comfortable. Instructions from Josh made everything run smoothly.

    John2016-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Josh was very good and prompt with communicating over email. Nearly all was clear form his introductory email, which contained good tips on travel from airport to the house. Room 5 is a tiny room, but perfect for my needs. I would stay there again. It was a good base for exploring the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is about 20-30 min away by bus from the Market Street, so its not right downtown, but with good bus and trolly system - its not a problem. A lot of piercing and tatoo places on the nearby Haight steet. Good breakfast cafe on Oak/Broderick - 10 min walk away. I felt safe in the evening, though I was trying to be back in by 10 PM. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

Relax in this quaint gem that has been renovated with privacy and luxury in mind. Carefully selected decor and amenities lend an elegant yet classic look to the space. Explore the surrounding area, head to the beach, or visit Golden Gate Park nearby.
Oh... and did I mention the location? Nestled in the trendy Outer Sunset District you will find maximum convenience. Here for a conference or special event? Runner? Cyclist? Surfer? Need to park a car? Out on vacation? There's a little something for everyone. The N-Judah MUNI line runs a quarter block from the unit. Close enough to get out and go and just far enough where you won't hear it. It will take you across the whole city through downtown/financial district/AT&T Park. Less than five minutes' walk to the west you're at Ocean Beach or north you're in Golden Gate Park. Outer Sunset has become quite its own identity over the years. Trendy restaurants sit next to old school hole-in-the-wall spots that have stood the test of time. I'm a third generation San Franciscan and have lived all over the city and I must say Outer Sunset has more of a district pride feel than anywhere I've lived. Feel free to reach out during your stay if you need anything or want some recommendations. Amenities: Private entrance Free Street parking WIFI Queen sized memory foam bed - blow-up mattress available on request Couch Washer/Dryer Extra sheets and blankets Smart 55-Inch Samsung TV where you can log in and watch your favorite Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO shows Modern Bathroom - Body Soap, Shampoo, Hair Dryer, Towels, Iron Full Kitchen - microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee machine, garbage disposal, feel free to ask if there's anything you need that's not in stock Welcome Book with local recommendations, public transportation tips, running routes Close to unique stores, killer coffee spots, amazing food Close to the beach, Golden Gate Park, Lands End, the Zoo Quick public transportation to the center of the city 20-30 minute drive from SFO Pleasantly accommodates two with a max of three people Feel free to reach out if you need anything or if I can make your stay more pleasant. I'm new at this so any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy San Francisco while you're here... I'm utterly biased but I do think it's one of the greatest cities we have! Thanks, Tyler
Nestled in the trendy Outer Sunset District, this spot offers maximum convenience. Whether you're a runner, cyclist, surfer, in town for a conference or special event, or just visiting, there's a little something for everyone.
  • Super modern and comfortable space! Good communication and easy check in. We had everything we needed and more with the extra towels and blankets. Also very clean!! Thank you Tyler.

  • Wonderful place! Well appointed and decorated. Very comfortable bed (which is something you don't often get in an AirBnb). Lots of supplies (glassware, mugs, cutlery, coffee, etc.). Access to laundry is a great plus! Check-in instructions were very clear and local tips paid off big time!!! Would highly recommend this place to others. Thank you Tyler.

    Amjad2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a great place to stay at in San Fran! Tyler is a great host and reply to questions in very timely manner. It is a little further away from Downtown SF but it's a very quiet neighborhood. Tyler's place is very convenient, there's a 7/11 and small grocery store right down the street and parking was easy to find as well. Would definitely recommend!

Downstairs unit/private entrance Bright downstairs unit with master bedroom & living room or bedroom-you choose. Private entrance. Private bath. Fridge, but no kitchen. High-speed Wi-Fi, & antenna TV. Perfect for larger groups & can sleep 5. Parking is FREE in the neighborhood & the home is located in the transitioning, yet up and coming Portola Valley neighborhood, which is a short 21 minute Uber ride to downtown, 17 minutes from the airport & just 16 minutes from the new Chase Center!
This is a private unit downstairs, with private entrance. It has a Large California King Size Bed, spacious private living suite which we consider the second bedroom with a sleeper sofa and private bath (no cooking facilities). XBox 1 complete with games, and Netflix. Easy access to highway, public transportation and quiet neighborhood with amazing view from the front street make this a great place to stay! Please note: My family and I live in the upstairs unit, despite our best our best efforts to walk quietly you can still hear footsteps. Parking is free in the neighborhood, which is located on a hill, so parking might be tricky for some. Please no smoking and no parties and ask that things quiet down at 11:30pm. Please note: Heating is connected to upstairs unit so you'll need to contact host if you need it warmer or cooler.
The house has an amazing view and is located on a hill. San Bruno Ave is 3 blocks away and has a great selection of restaurants and coffee shops. Free parking in the neighborhood but is more difficult to find a spot after 8pm. You might have to circle the block to find a spot.
  • Very well-kept, spacious.

  • Clint's place was great! We had a wonderful time while there. The place is sparkling clean and very comfortable. It has a homey feeling to it with snacks/coffee and nice touches. And the bed was so nice! The location is good. We had a car so did not mind being 15-20 min away from downtown area. Overall we loved it and would definitely stay again!

  • Its a very nicely remodeled place. It is spacious and has great little amenties. The bed is very good as well.

  • Clint is a fantastic host! Any time I needed something (heat, food recommendation, other) he responded quickly. Amenities included snacks, ear plugs, coffee & tea, microwave and a refrigerator. Linens were fresh and bed firm but comfortable. Check in and out were a breeze. 4 out of 5 stars because- noise issues from upstairs; and though the bus pickup is just a 5 minute walk, that part of the neighborhood was sketchy. We used Lyft the entire time and it was about a $9 ride to the city. FYI their house is on a rather steep hill, but it is of course SF.

    Becca2018-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great amenities for the space - a big king bed, multiple sofas, air mattress, Xbox / Netflix, coffee machine, and some provided snacks. Definitely felt like a great home base to come back to after spending the day in other parts of the city.

    Kyle2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the space. The beds, couches, bedding, and towels were very comfortable. The hosts were amicable and stocked up the space well. We didn't have to ask for any accomodations. We were wary of the footsteps and/or upstairs sounds other people mentioned, but it wasn't too bad for us. Great place!

    Frannie2018-07-02T00:00:00Z

I have hosted on Airbnb for about 1 year and it has been an AMAZING experience. You can expect a relaxing atmosphere and all the support you'll need to have a great stay. The room is private, but the apartment is shared with myself and my roommate.
Little Hollywood was once known for the number of hollywood actors that had vacation homes in the neighborhood and the southern California like architecture. Up the street are a number of restaurants for a variety of tastes. Around the corner from the house is the Caltrain Station and Muni lines (4 min. walk). We also have easy access to Highway 101 and 280. We are also minutes from popular areas such as the Mission, Soma, Union Square, and Fisherman's Wharf. Our easy highway access also provides for seamless transit to areas such as the marina and golden gate.
  • If you are looking for a nice and clean place, Emanuel's place is for you. It was centrally located for our needs and just a perfect stay overall.

  • Berto was a very friendly host with fast responses when communicating through messages. I like the location of the house which just right next to gg park, the room was large and quite. Ive enjoyed my stay and happy to have discovered cool places of this part of the Sunset.

  • The host was very nice and replied right away all the time. The surrounding was nice, right next to he golden gate park. It took a little longer to the center of San Francisco (e.g. pier 39) but was okay.

    Hannah2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • He was very nice and welcoming. The neighborhood seems nice and safe.

  • Big room, good spot to get around San Fran. A window was broken in the bathroom when we arrived but the owner is aware and it wasn't a problem. Berto is friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations/made sure we had what we needed.

Each room has plenty of sunlight and equipped with a queen size bed. The shared area of kitchen and living room are spacious. It is a great home base for any visitor to San Francisco. We are close to Walgreen's, Safeway, shops, banks, restaurants !
We are between Excelsior and Mission Terrace. You can find everything in Mission street: grocery stores, restaurants, bars, banks etc. If you want to stay in a place like home, we are the one you will like. Mission Terrace 's Walk Score is 84.

  • Kenix has a great place, comfortable, clean and organized, even though it's not so close from the center, it is well located, with public transport really close. Kenix quickly answered all our questions and even helped us with our laundry! We would definitely come back!

    Ricardo2016-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • We came from SFO International to Kenix public transport without any problems and stayed for a couple of nights for sightseeing. Kenix place was 100% as described. Cozy, clean, very convenient, close to the city (easy to access via muni & bart) and with all needed comfort. She is a very friendly and kind host. Although we had no need to take her advice there was always someone in the house to answer questions. We totally recommend staying at Kenix' place!

My home is a sunny, Victorian house in the center of San Francisco, in a tranquil neighborhood called Noe Valley. We have many nearby restaurants and shops. I'm one mile from the heart of Mission District, one hill away from The Castro, and it's easy to take the streetcar to Union Square and The Embarcadero. Your small bedroom has a full-sized bed, a private toilet, and shares a bathroom with other guests. Free street parking available with some restrictions. SF Short-Term Rental Reg #STR1278
My house is on a corner, with Southern exposure along the length of the house, so it gets lots of lovely sunshine.
Noe Valley is in the geographic center of San Francisco, and is tranquil, relatively sunny (for SF!), and has a plethora of Victorian houses. It's not known for its night-life, but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within several blocks of my place.
  • Maria's house is terrific: clean, attractive, quiet, well appointed & well located, and she mades a strong effort to provide travelers w/ a great, self-sufficient experience at a great value. The communication, via email & also via bulletin boards & placards around the house, is rare & appreciated.

    Michael2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I did not have the pleasure of meeting Maria, but she was very accomidating and kind! The house is beautiful and clean. The room was the perfect size! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

    Amanda2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Maria has a beutiful home that's cozy and clean. She did an excellent job of making me feel at home. I even had some fresh flowers on the night stand when I arrived.

    Ben2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, very easy & flexible checkin, and safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay again on my next trip to SF.

    Dianna2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Maria's place is beautiful! The house is full with details and beautiful art and plants. The garden room is small but cozy and has the private access to the garden which adds a cute green outdoor space to it (we would have spent more time there but were mostly out exploring the city). The J is very close and Mission is at walkable distance for multiple dinner options and drinks. Is true what you read about SF, is expensive and you see many homeless people but Maria's neighborhood is safe and you can find good and cheap bakeries and places to eat. Her place was the best option for our last 2 days visiting CA. Muchas gracias Maria.

The home owner is automatically notified (via the internet) whenever a guest enters or exits the home. Will, the home owner, is usually around on weekends and evenings. He works in the city Monday through Friday. Will is usually available in person, by phone or via text for questions regarding the city, directions, the Bay Area in general, restaurant or entertainment recommendations, places to go, or anything else you may need. Will's brother, Carlos, is a home most of the time. It should be noted that Carlos is slightly autistic; however, he functions at a high level. We are centrally situated in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood with close access to a variety of areas you might want to visit want in SF. Within minutes by foot or by mass transit, there are many great spots with amazing food, such as: Glen Park, Ocean Avenue, Noe Valley, West Portal, and the Mission. Within a few blocks of our home there is nearby access to three forms of public transit to downtown or SFO airport (via the Mission Street MUNI Bus System, the San Jose Avenue MUNI Light Rail System, and the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) System. • It is the pleasant to live at Will and Carlos's house. It is in a quite neighourhood and it takes 10 minutes' work to the train station. The stay is comfortable and I feel I have good privacy although the bathroom is shared. worth to stay.

    Pu2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Will's place was great. We never met Will (we like to sleep in) but Carlos was nice and very helpful. We found the proximity to the transit and subway convenient. We also enjoyed the location seeing as it is close to the mission neighbourhood. Go there and get a burrito at the famous La Taqueria. The place was perfectly clean and well organized - couldn't have imagined cleaner.

    David2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying with Will and Carlos. We didn't get to meet Will, but Carlos was around to answer questions and show us their place. Using public transportation, it took us about 45 to 50 minutes to get to the downtown area. The closest Muni station didn't have a vending machine to get tickets, though, so the first day we had some difficulties to find a place that sells them. Other than that it was perfect. Thanks you, Will and Carlos, for your hospitality!

  • Location was so perfect for us. Surprisingly closer to our son's place, restaurants, beaches, stores, etc than we initially thought. Parking was no problem and most of the time it was right across the street. Area is relatively quiet, has some street noise, very private, safe and had its own entrance which was a plus! Landy was so hospitable and left us a nice assortment of breakfast treats, filtered water and coffee. We asked for extra pillows and she brought them. She went above and beyond to make our time there so nice. We had an enjoyable stay! Thanks Landy!!

    Debi2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Landy's for 5 nights and truly enjoyed our time. The description is accurate in terms of location-it's in a quiet residential neighborhood close to the water and we found a variety of ways into the more central areas of SF including using Uber, riding bikes and driving in. We also spent a day at Golden Gate Park which is walkable. There was an array of thoughtful amenities in the room including some food, drinks, and toiletries. There is some noise from the main house but at expected times and we did not find it disruptive. We had a great stay.

    Caitlin2017-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with a walking trail nearby that leads to a beautiful view of the water and Golden Gate Bridge. The court yard with its private entrance was charming and peaceful. Restaurants, coffee houses and bakeries are just a few blocks away on Balboa Blvd . We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated all the thoughtful amenities provided by Landy.

    Olga2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cozy retreat, and Landy is an excellent host! Easy walking distance to Lands End and Cliff House. I'd love to visit again!

    Virginia2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a lovely stay here for our anniversary weekend away! It took us just over 10 minutes to walk to the Sutro Bath ruins to begin our incredible 5 mile hike down the Gold Coast! We highly recommend the hike if you love breathtaking views! I have some dietary restrictions so I brought a lot of my own food and we had everything we needed to eat in the room -- a spacious table, large fridge, toaster oven, utensils, plates, cutting boards, etc! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Landy!

    Annika2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Landy’s place was spacious, stylish, private, and comfortable. She included many nice touches like guidebooks and treats that made the guest suite feel like a hotel! Everything we needed was in the room and it felt very private and safe. She was even able to have the room ready extra early for us, which was a huge bonus. Parking was very easy on the street, and the house is a short drive to any touristy areas you might want to see. I would highly recommend staying here!

    Carly2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding nice place, perfect located and super to be. We had a great time, went jogging in the park right next to the place. Also perfect with a car with lots of parking in front of the house. Landy is also very nice and the room was loaded with wonderful amenities.

  • Very clean and adorable place!

    Reed2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Even though the place is not directly in the heart of San Francisco everything was easy to reach via Muni or other public transportation. If you like to go to the beach, Ocean Beach is not far away and you could walk there. I walked nearly everything from their apartment. It was awesome that the place has two bathrooms so at least one is always free to use. Furthermore the bathrooms as well as the room itself were really clean and tidy. The room included towels to use as well as a TV with Netflix. So even on a rainy day you could watch some series until the rain ends and head to San Francisco. Check-in and communication was easy and very fast. Responses from Daniel were always very fast and included every information needed. I would go there again if I come back to San Francisco!

My classic Victorian house is perfectly located in SoMa! A central neighborhood where the MOSCONE center, Downtown, Civic Center BART, Breweries, Coffee Roasters, Nightclubs & delicious Restaurants are all just 5 - 15 mins walking distance, making it the perfect place for either buisness or adventure travelers! The house was recently remodeled and it has plenty of natural light. This is a calm and quiet place where you can rest, relax and enjoy my daily aromatherapy :D
YOUR ROOM: • This beautiful room has a full-size bed, super comfortable soft cotton bedsheets, a desk, a closet with hangers and a small dresser, a heater, a fan, a full body mirror behind the door and a 'Homedics' sound canceling machine. Even though THIS ROOM IS SMALL (please don't book it if this is a problem for you) and its window faces the inside of the house (the window faces the staircase, so there isn't much natural lighting but no privacy issues whatsoever), it has been well equipped to bring you all the amenities needed to make your stay as pleasant as possible. • If you are arriving before 3PM, No problem, you may use the GARAGE TO DROP YOUR BELONGINGS until anytime after 3PM check-in. And if you want to leave your luggage after 10AM check-out, feel free to leave it in the garage for as long as you need as well :) • SELF CHECK-IN after 3pm is absolutely available. You don't need to wait for me to get inside the house. ** Go to Airbnb WEBSITE to find the DOORS CODES. You can also find them on the app under check-in instructions closer to your arrival day (no cell data needed). ** Please make yourself comfortable and at home. I'll happily give you a house tour if you want once I see you. • Once you are inside the house, look for the door that has your name on it :) • If you are a LIGHT-SLEEPER, I recommend you to bring ear-plugs. The house is old so the insulation isn't the best. • Also, even though the house was recently remodeled, there are a few original parts that were kept, such as the door knobs. This means that the DOOR ONLY LOCK FROM THE INSIDE. And even though there will be 3 other guests staying at the house, they will all be highly verified and evaluated by AirBnB registration policies. Please no that I have never had any issues with security. • There are 2 WiFi PORTS so you will have access throughout the house!
    • SoMa's multifaceted character brings together all sorts of people. Tech-savvy entrepreneurs rub elbows with well-read bohemian types, and museum curators share the sidewalks with ill-groomed individuals. • Most of the action can be found at: MOSCONE CENTER, SF MOMA and Yerba Buena gardens, Giants ballpark. SoMa, as it's known, sounds a little like a SoHo wannabe, and it does have a strong downtown vibe. Restaurants, Hip bars, clubs, and specialty coffee cafes are all around. • There is something I will like to bring up before any surprises. San Francisco is sadly recognized by the large amount of HOMELESS on the streets. And even though 95% of them are harmless it is important to consider and acknowledge that this is a major problem ALL OVER THE CITY. If you want more information regarding this issue there's plenty of material on the Internet that you can read about it. And if I can give you an advice about this matter, it would be to avoid the tenderloin, 5th, 6th and market streets on late hours (even thought during the 4 years I've been living in the city nothing bad has ever happened to me BUT, it's good to let you know so you don't feel insecure while walking around). The only thing I can promise you is that I'll try my best to keep the house clean and quiet so you can relax, rest and enjoy it.
  • A very convenient and cozy place with a very hospitable host. Highly recommended.

    Jason2019-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for those who are open to sharing community space with others from various walks of life. Very cozy, clean and with more comfort than you’d see at most hotels! Maria is very kind and her pup was fun to play with! Take a walk to Sight Glass coffee shop nearby in the mornings while there. Most amenities are within walking/a short Uber ride.

    Nancy2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved staying at Maria’s. She was so hospitable and you can tell she cares about her guests.

    Ashley2018-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Maria Jose’s place was wonderful. She has four rooms available to different people and to me, this runs so many risks of things going wrong: dirty, sterile, disorganized, noisy etc. It was none of those things. Super clean, super cozy, super well organized. Things were thoughtfully laid out with nice touches that showed great understanding of what travellers need while still maintaining a personal touch. It felt like an actual home, which I appreciate!! My only problem was the corner of the bed in this small room, which I was warned about (so no fault of Maria’s!) and still kept bashing my shin on it! Would absolutely recommend.

    Karen2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s is such a great place to stay with good amenities especially kitchen and dining. It’s very close to the bart station so that you don’t need to take another public transportation to get there. I really liked being there, highly recommended!

  • Michael & Vernon were friendly, accommodating and very quick to reply to any queries and messages. The room was immaculate with fresh bedding and towels provided, we had everything we needed during our stay! The house is in a good location too, the city is easily accessible with Uber and Lyft. Would definitely recommend visiting the Bare Bottle brewing company just around the corner!

  • Beautiful home with a spacious room that was nicely decoreted! A quite backyard was connected to the room making it a bit more luxurious. We got our own key to the House and could come and go when we wanted. The bathroom was clean and a wonderful morninglight from the roof window. Every morning Michael would serve us breakfast and was really good host! We highly recomend a stay at Micheal's! He is a great guy!

  • Excellent room and amenities. The room was spacious and felt private. It was at the top of a very old winding staircase for those with mobility issues. Mary was an excellent host very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely stay again if in town. Thanks much!

  • Really nice room. Absolutely great location. Close to Cablecar stop and within minutes to shopping and restaurant at union square. Friendly host and very helpful. She also offered some breakfast. No problems with the shared bathroom. 100% satisfaction.

  • I had the best time staying at this place. We had wonderful amenities and timing was very flexible. Will definitely come back to San Fran and stay here again. The host and her family is so welcoming!

    May2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: Mary is really nice and accommodating; place is sparkling clean; location is good, short walk to downtown, but far enough away from the bad areas Cons: the shared bathroom situation is a bit awkward - two rooms have access to the bathroom via doors in their respective rooms, so you have to remember to unlock the other person's door to the bathroom every time you are done using the batheoom; my room happened to be on the top floor - the steps are steep so if you have a lot of luggage it might be hard; when I visited SF, they were struck with an unexpected heat wave - the top floor gets really hot with little airflow and no AC. Mary provides a fan, but even then the room at night is about 5-10 degrees warmer than the outside temperature, so it was very uncomfortable to sleep in. This heat wave does not occur often so I guess I might have gotten unlucky

    Samantha2019-06-12T00:00:00Z

You'll love this listing w/ your breathtaking balcony! Comes w/ 2 rooms, memory foam mattresses, personal massage chair, TV w/ free Netflix, Prime Video, & Disney+, full kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove/oven), 2 bathrooms (shared w/ other guests), free/easy street parking, easy access from SFO (14min drive) & to downtown SF (15min drive, 3min walk to T Muni line to downtown). The smaller second room (w/ full bed) is connected to and accessed through larger front room (w/ queen & twin loft bed).
  • Very good place! Everything clean and the location is easy to get public transports!

  • This place is AMAZING!!! Located in a central part of the city. Be warned, you are sharing a house with other guests but we made some great Danish friends. Someone left a mess in the bathroom but the hosts quickly came and cleaned it up. This was my first time staying in a shared home but really enjoyed myself. Thank you Sean and Vanessa!!!

This is a nice little room in a four bedroom house in the Mission District. It has a very comfy full (double) sized bed and lots of storage. A big window with lots of natural light. Fast internet connection and access to a cool rooftop.
You also would have access to our unit downstairs with an extra kitchen and bathroom/shower and the chance to meet fellow travelers.
The closest private garage is by SF General Hospital (about 2 blocks away) On 24th st. between Utah and San Bruno fares are about $15/night.
  • It was a nice little room and great for a one night stay like I had. It’s really close to the hospital which is where I parked my car for the night.

    Nishok2018-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay the night

    Koen2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The place is in a very walkable location from the BART. The place is off the main road, so shouldn't have been noisy but someone was doing laundry late. Not that big of a deal. Careful if you try going on the roof, lots of death opportunities there, but fine if you are prepared.

    Kyle2019-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Leon's place is in a wonderful location. The house is very cute and the rooftop is awesome. Not the place to stay if you're looking for privacy but overall a great place!

We have a charming, 2 bedroom 1 bath Victorian home high on a hill with sweeping views, a garden and a deck. There’s free on street parking and a bus stop is less than a 2 minute walk away at the corner. Downtown is about 30 minutes by public transportation.
You have your own bedroom with a comfortable double bed (smaller than a queen size bed) and you share the single bathroom with us. You’re invited to sit out on the deck and soak up the view whenever the weather permits. You're also welcome to light use of the kitchen. Additionally: We provide a simple make-your-own breakfast such as fruit and granola. Feel free to store additional breakfast items in our refrigerator. Safeway and Whole Foods Markets are both nearby popular places to purchase groceries. Most of our guests opt for one of several incredible breakfast options nearby. We always have coffee and tea available for you. My husband and I are welcoming, friendly hosts, happy to help you find your way around. I am a yoga teacher and body movement therapist, and my husband is a mortgage broker. Although we both have active lives, we enjoy meeting and interacting with our guests. At the same time we know that you have your own plans and priorities, and we want to respect your alone time and privacy. We live in a great part of San Francisco. The air is fresh, the people are friendly and we're close to great dining and neighborhood shopping. 24th Street in "downtown" Noe Valley is one of the most delightful neighborhoods in San Francisco. It's like being in a small town in the midst of a big city. We are in a great location for walking, driving, and taking public transportation. Walking: We're a 10 min. walk downhill to 24th St., the trendy, shopping and dining street of Noe Valley; a 5 minute walk uphill to Safeway supermarket, Walgreens pharmacy, post office, and a few eateries Some of our more ambitious guests walk to nearby neighborhoods including the Castro, the Mission, and Glen Park. We are on a steep hill, so be prepared, especially on the way back! Remember, you can always hop on the bus! Public Transportation: Our house is close to several bus lines: the 35, 24, and 52 lines are all a short walk from our house. The 35 is particularly close, a leisurely one minute and ten second walk from our house to the bus stop. (Yes, we timed it!) The 35 will take you to "downtown" Noe Valley and the Castro within minutes. At the Castro St. Station you can connect to many other lines that will easily take you downtown and beyond. The 35 will also take you to the Glen Park BART station. The 24 and 52 are both within 5 minutes of our house and will take you to many other neighborhoods as well as to other lines that will connect you to the entire city and to BART. We're happy to assist you with bus schedules and answer your questions as best we can. All of this information can be found online, too. One other popular option is to take the J-Church streetcar to downtown. It's a 10 minute walk downhill from our house to the 27th St. stop. This tram goes mainly above ground and offers interesting and lovely views of different neighborhoods and Dolores Park along the way. Driving: We're in a terrific location for those of you who are driving. Parking on street near our house is easy and free (unlike many parts of San Francisco). Our house is on a steep street, but most guests park in front of our house or within a few houses of ours. Occasionally a guest will park down the hill or on the nearest cross street as it is flatter, after first dropping their bags off. Three important things to know about parking (we'll help you with all of them!): 1) Be careful not to block anybody's driveway. 2) Be sure to "curb" your wheels on hills like ours. 3) Pay attention to the parking signs. We are convenient to other San Francisco neighborhoods as well as to highways that will get you to anywhere in the Bay Area including Berkeley, Oakland, Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Marin County, Point Reyes National Seashore, Sonoma County and Napa Valley wineries, and more. Taxi: Taxi rides are easy to arrange and very affordable. Choose from traditional taxis to services like Lyft and Uber to get around town! Having a smart phone for maps, transportation schedules, and mapping is a real convenience, although not a necessity. We have wireless internet to assist in your searches. The telephone number in our listing does not accept texts as it is a home phone so feel free to call and leave a voice message or use email. If you need to text do so to Ed’s cell which we'll provide once your reservation is confirmed.

  • Ed & Judy are a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome and are always willing to answer any questions you may have. Their house has a very relaxed vibe and warmth about it, also the view is amazing from their terrace. Noe valley where the house is situated is a quiet and peaceful area with plenty of places to eat just a few streets down on 24th. Ed and Judy can tell you where just about every cuisine you can think of is situated in the area which we found very helpful. If your in the San Francisco area and want a nice peaceful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but close enough to easily commute in on the buses and metro this place is definitely ideal. Not to mention that Judy and Ed are very friendly and helpful people who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. I definitely recommend this place, it's great and we had a great time in San Francisco. Thanks again to both of you for having us, we really appreciate it :-) Acacia & Dan

The house is cozy and the view.. The view is awesome. The only downside is that we didn't stay longer. We definetly hope to come back some time.

  • Judy and Ed were two of the most welcoming people we have ever met. They gave us great tips for exploring San Francisco and seem to genuinely love helping their guests get to know the city. The trip would not have been the same without such kind hosts, thank you for a fantastic weekend!

  • everything is walkable distance, if you don't mind walking about an hour... there is a lots of cool cafes and places around, my favourite is Loundre, which is couple of blocks from there. the place on it's own is an art, loved it! it's really cool place to hang out, you meet a lots of people. I would definitely recommend this place :)

  • While it was not the cleanest place I have ever been in, what can you expect from a Hostel that always has people in it and this place always has people for good reason. It's becaue it is great, great hosts, good people and a fantastic area.

    Michael2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Will absolutely consider this place for future trips to SF. Great place if you don't mind having around a lot of people. Crazy place, but organization (check-in, checkout, etc) is very streamlined.

    Fabian2017-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent for the gregarious and adventurous!

    Timothy2017-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Zain and Duncan's place was more than what I expected. If you are expecting to stay at a hostel then expect there to be many different people and interactions each day. Zain and Duncan weren't always there to give you tips on where to go and what to do, but that makes the hostel even better. Though Zain and Duncan aren't there to completely check you in some of the hostel mates might be there to show you the ropes on checking in. There's very helpful things (white boards, things on the refrigerator, a huge map on their wall) placed around the house that can help with finding out things to do, eat see and visit. The place is located in a very walkable area to all your desires, and if something seems to far taking a Uber or Lyft was pretty cheap. There is also a place a block away from their place called TimBuk2 that provides free bikes to anyone, as long as you just leave some information down and return it by 6 (discovered this talking to one of my hostel-mates). Please consider that this is a hostel where you will be sharing bunk beds with someone, if you require peace and quite when you are sleeping or some sort of privacy reconsider somewhere else or ear plugs. In my bag I had a laptop and a very expensive camera that I left in my bunk unattended hours out of the day and nothing was missing. This place is a great place to meet new people, and interact with many different people from all over the world. I can't think of any issues while staying here, besides me being concerned of waking up my roommates when I came home late... but then again they knew what they signed up for.

    Dominick2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival from SFO airport via Lyft Zain ran out to greet me and helped me move all of my stuff in. He then proceeded to offer me all the liquor, food, weed, and beer my heart desired. Extremely friendly. Had a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Zain!

    Alex2015-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Nice guys, chill vibe and relaxed location.

    Sille2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • I only spent a weekend at the Treehouse, but by the end I wished I had spent much much longer. Zain and Duncan create an incredibly welcoming atmosphere, and I had just as much fun staying in getting to know everyone as I did exploring the city. I couldn't have asked for a better first Airbnb experience or weekend in San Francisco, and I'll definitely be coming back.
