Great spot to crash. Downtown SD. Near everything and just a unique opportunity. Felt like we were in a dream and we were 10years again. Everything we needed we had and some. Host was very generous and accommodating. Would stay again 10/10

Sami is a great host. He responds immediately to questions or issues. Couldn’t be better. The apartment is very comfortable and attractively furnished. Excellent location: 2 blocks from India Street, Little Italy’s Main Street. Bed is very comfortable. I’d stay again in a heart beat.

I would highly recommend this place if you are willing to explore the heart and the soul of San Diego. Place itself is very stylish and comfortable to live but location is making it perfect both for short holiday stay and for a long business trips.

Fantastic location in Little Italy with some great restaurants and coffee spots within walking distance. Very comfy apartment with good amenities. Parking was easy enough most days, at worst we parked 3-4 blocks away. Awesome communication from host with some great local recommendations.

I had a great time staying here! The place is very comfortable and spacious, and it has a fun, charming décor. Check-in was incredibly easy thanks to a keypad lock on the door. It was a short taxi ride from the airport to get there. It’s within 10 minutes walking distance from a big Walmart for groceries, and an excellent Japanese restaurant for ramen (which I went to twice 😅). Communication was quick and easy with René. All good stuff. I’d highly recommend staying here!

The building is very interesting and parking is easy to find. The shower is not the best I experienced but is able to use. The location is amazing just a few minutes by car to the waterfront and Rene provided very good suggestions for food and attractions all around San Diego.

Really cute and quirky space. Felt like the perfect amount of space for me and my best friend. Attic loft was great. Heating takes a while for water and the heater, but Rene let us know beforehand. Lots of street parking. Really easy check in! Thanks for having us!

A+ place! 2 mins away from the bay and 5 mins away from the ocean. Prefect for one couple and possibly a small child, good size couch. You are close to EVERYTHING. And the ability for us to cook saved us $$$. In addition the ability to do laundry on site was awesome because we had already sent 3 days in LAS VEGAS and had a fair amount of dirty laundry. Which in turn let us pack lighter overall. Clean, cozy, very reasonable pricing. We will be back.

Great location close to everything

This is a lovely space above a garage. We loved the architecture, the open airy feeling and we liked being up high so we could keep the curtains open. The kitchen is tiny but well stocked except the refrigerator is not full-sized but like what you find in a hotel room. It is a great location. It is close to the bay and the ocean.

Great studio style unit in a quiet location, perfect for a couple's getaway.

I came down to Mission Beach to race in the annual Hanohano Huki Ocean Challenge which takes place in Bonita Cove Park, just a short walk from Laura and Rob’s beautiful studio. The location was perfect and it was really nice having my own off-street parking space as I had a lot of things to unload and also a paddleboard on my car. The studio has a unique design that is very warm and inviting, tropical-like and similar to something you would find in Polynesia or Bali. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower had good hot water flow. The small kitchen has nearly everything you need to make simple meals and the WiFi service was fast. Though I never met the hosts in person, Laura and Rob were always available and answered whatever questions I had. I would recommend their space for a single person or couple looking to get away for a few days and wanting to stay in a unique property in a great location.

If this place is available, grab it!!! It's so magical and absolutely Zen. Anything I could possibly want was right there for me to use. They are quick to respond with any questions and gave plenty of suggestions on where to eat. The staircase up to the unit is spiral so careful if you have big bulky/heavy luggage. Otherwise it was nice to get laundry done right on the premises, was also nice to have off street parking. Even loved the shower, lol. So. So. Magical.

This place is so beautiful! Right by the beach too, actually it’s walking distance from a lot of things! There’s a park and restaurants around and those were nice to look at and visit. The space was so nice and clean, only complaint is that is was really cold even with the heater on, almost freezing sometimes, so make sure to bring some long pants to sleep in! They offer a parking space which is helpful too. Would stay here again the place is beautiful and it was super easy to check in and out.

Our weekend getaway at the Hobbit House was fabulous! The location couldn't have been better. It was a stone's throw away from the beach, local restaurants and amenities. The house itself was cozy and tucked away so you were never bothered during the night. Kristy was very responsive and reached out several times to make sure our stay with her was as comfortable as possible. I would definitely recommend staying with her if you have the chance!

This backyard bungalow was perfect for our trip to San Diego. It was so close to everything we wanted or needed; the cute little OB strip full of cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as the beach! Kristy was also very attentive and quick to answer any questions or concerns we had, thanks again!

Kristy's hobbit hole was a great experience! We loved being able to tuck away from the street into a unique space both inside and out. There were so many little keepsakes around and stylish touches that kept us interested while we were there. The location was perfect too, right next to OB and the beaches... It couldn't get much better. The only downside was having the airplanes overhead in the morning, but that's near impossible to avoid for the area.

We loved staying at Kristy's place. It has a very homey feel, with artwork and decorations and cookware and everything you'd need to be comfortable. The location was prime, check in and out was a breeze, highly recommend!

This place is a gem. It's within walking distance to the beach, many restaurants and local attractions. We had a mid-sized SUV and parking was totally fine. This place is clean with a lot of greens around the house. Kristy is a super nice lady and she responses very quickly. We had no issues at all during our stay and will definitely come back in the future.

Great location, great stay and great communication. We enjoyed our stay! Free parking on the street was very easy to find. The whole place was immaculate and we felt very comfortable. Bed is comfortable and plenty of space to put our belongings. We ate breakfast at a place up the street that we walked too called Hiddle which was amazing! I highly recommend this place.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting San Diego. It is super clean, cozy, has character, is in a quiet neighborhood with easy street parking, is convenient to anything you would possibly want to do in town, and the bed is so comfortable! No complaints here.

Best AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at. What an amazing place! We had a fantastic stay. The place is stylish and very well decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and communication with Chuck and Yvonne was great. The place is on a quiet street with free/ample parking yet only three blocks away from great restaurants and bars. If we’re in San Diego, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Overall, it was a GREAT experience!!! A very peaceful and friendly environment! Ashley, the helper of Michael was very friendly and available and has great stories to tell! She’s a sweetheart :) don’t compare this place to a hotel, because it’s not. But it exceeded my expectations and definitely doesn’t deserve the bad reviews it’s been given. The treehouse DID have hot water and the sound of the airplanes wasn’t bad at all. It’s very cozy and is personal and private! They do rent out other spaces in the house because it’s a Victorian house with lots of rooms. It may sound like a turn off, but you rarely see anyone else walking around and it doesn’t disturb the peace. There’s padlocks on all of the doors and rooms and is very safe. We loved how we could come back the same day we checked out since we were hanging out in SD the rest of the day. GREAT location! Walking distance to coffee shops, breweries, and restaurants ! Definitely a great experience and we will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Michael and Ashley! 🥰🥰🥰

GREAT Location, within walking distance of most of the Gaslamp district. Safe, underground parking. Electric grill on outside balcony-- so much fun!

Where do I begin?? First, Jennifer was a fabulous hostess. She was very quick to respond and a total pleasure to deal with. Her condo was spotless and exactly as advertised (maybe even better than advertised!!) The location is in the heart of the Gaslamp. We walked to the baseball game, all the tourist sites and attractions. The building was great! The pool and gym was terrific and the lobby is very cool. We also liked the security, both in the building and also in the garage. We had coffee on the balcony every morning and watched SD wake up. The unit was so comfortable and well appointed. Also loved having a full size washer. We were so sad to leave but plan on definitely coming back next year for a longer stay. Thank you Jennifer for a GREAT experience!!

Very nice condo right in the center of Downtown, modern and nicely furbished, loved it. Lots of shopping, nice restaurants and nightlife (some noise there in the evenings and nights but nothing some earplugs couldn't help with) I felt safe being alone. Jennifer is a wonderful host, very reactif and helpful if necessary. Had a great time. Recommend it highly.

Gilda's place was the nicest we stayed in our trip in California. It was very clean, quiet and well located in San Diego. Gilda answered quickly our messages and her indications were very clear. We recommand her place.

Gilda's place was so cozy and comfortable. We were able to cook breakfast and eat it on the little balcony. We were able to stay in bed and watch movies and shows on TV. The place was clean and in a very nice neighborhood with stores near by. You can also see and hear planes descending from the air nearby but the noise didn't bother us at all. Parking was good on the street but we parked in the underground garage.

Gilda’s place was clean, quiet, and resembled the pictures perfectly. One of the reason that would keep me coming back is LOCATION. Convenient, safe, and close to downtown.

This Airbnb was amazing! The style was very close to a hotel, just super clean and had everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay in SD. We watched so many YouTube videos on your Firestick, great addition! If you are attending a concert at the Viejas Arena venue, this place is perfect! Only a 15-minute drive! My stay was EXCELLENT! Gilda thought of everything to make me feel at home. Her place was spotless, comfortable, excellently priced and located near all of what San Diego has to offer. If traveling to SD, I highly recommend this rental!

Tara's place is very easy to find and conveniently located in Ocean Beach. The rooms were tastefullly & simply decorated. There were so many thoughtful touches that we greatly appreciated. Everything is labeled and easy to find. I wish all Airbnbs would do this! The beds were super cozy, and I slept soundly every night. Although we had access to the large kitchen, we didn't need it. A small fridge and microwave are provided as well as electric kettle, coffee pot, and French press. There is a cooler of fresh drinking water provided also. Tara is easy to communicate with and quickly responds to messages. I would love to stay here again!

The space was exactly as advertised and was in a perfect location. Very private despite sharing the property with others. The host was also right on the property which was very convenient. Luckily I didn’t need any help while there. She had everything I needed in the space. I would stay again!

Great place and great experience. It is very close to the airport and so the planes that go over head are loud. But we were given white noise machines, so the host really did everything they could for a great stay. Would recommend it, very nice!

Really unique and chic space. Old home, but comfortable bed, linens. Loved the feel of being in that 100-year old place. Shared dorm type facility, but separate rooms. Outdoor shower was unique. View is amazing. Location was awesome. No problem with parking. Michael is sort of obsessive about over communicating, which is good— there’s no way to go wrong.

Super cool place with tons of eclectic touches. I spent the morning doing some work in one of the gardens, which was a perfect space to relax and get some work done. Room was cozy, although outdoor shower water was cold, so I was not able to take advantage of it. Also in a great location that is close and walkable to everything. Would definitely stay there again!

Nice place to stay

A definite gem in the heart of Balboa Park area, able to easily walk to the market or restaurant and of course to the park! Place was so cozy and private with easy access to all amenities. Stair way up to the loft is quite narrow but sturdy so no worries from my experience just for others to be aware of! Overall, great stay I’d come back for sure!

Michael does a great job of being honest about his space. The home is located in a walkable distance to a lot of great San Diego areas. Each room offers a uniquely different type of space. The decor is unique and very thoughtfully arranged. Fountains indoors and out offer a nice calming sound of moving water. The outside spaces on the property provide a comfortable refuge (surrounded by plants) even with the highway and airport in close proximity. I stayed in the loft space and as described the stairway was narrow. Michael does a very good job of being honest about the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-stocked with tools for preparing meals- very helpful!

We wanted to explore San Diego and some nearby towns, and just needed a place to crash at night. This was a good choice for us on a budget. If I could redo I would've chosen another room instead of the attic loft as it felt a little cramped. The house inside and out in general was pretty cool and decorative. Great communication with the owner.

A cute home right near Oceanside beach and a block away from so many cute restaurants and healthy little food spots. I walked to the beach in about 10-minutes. I seriously can’t complain. This home is clearly designed to be an Airbnb, she has everything labeled and cubbies for each room. The only thing I would note is that it is right on the road so if you’re a light sleeper just bring some ear plugs because it is noisy and sometimes there are horns, etc. but totally worth it for the location. She also has a noise maker in case that helps you too!

Tara's place is perfect for visiting the OB. The beach, pier, biking path, and restaurants are within walking distance, less than 15-20 min. Stayed 3 nights and walked or biked my entire stay. Self check in, complimentary coffee/tea/toiletries and free use of the bike cruiser was a plus. Be aware that traffic can be heavy on West Point Loma Blvd and it's easy to miss the Air bnb after you pass or turn off of Sunset Cliff Blvd so plan accordingly. Otherwise, I highly recommend Tara's place for the full OB experience.

Nice private space on a quiet street. There was a full kitchen with utensils, kitchen pans, even condiments available. The filtered water cooler was a nice touch as well. Occasional foot steps heard above, but really wasn’t bothersome. The bikes come with locks for using them all day! Excellent location and would stay again.

This was perfect for a couples getaway in PB. The bikes were in great shape and were awesome to run up and down the beach with. Luis provides locks so you can keep them safe when you bike to lunch. The house is nicely situated near everything you need. It was clean and cozy. I loved the outdoor space for reading in the morning as the sun heated up. Location was quiet - I never heard a thing at night

Price is right for fantastic location in the center of mission beach. Simple place for a weekend trip. Older fixed up unit with nice touches. Not luxurious, but does the job if you are mostly out and about enjoying the beach/bay and just need a place to crash. We have large suv so we love the parking provided.

This place is so cool and stylish, I love the reserved parking spot right next to the front door. I felt like a high roller right in the middle of the action with what felt like my own personal crosswalk to the beach. You have everything you need and simple check let’s you get straight to having fun!

We crashed here for a night during a whirlwind trip to San Diego. It was clean and simple, close to the beach, and super convenient. I wish we researched where to eat because our dinner in the area was meh. Overall, great stay.

Loved the Airbnb. It’s a stylish studio and has everything. Doesn’t have a TV but you don’t really need one when you’re next to the beach & the bay. There’s lot to do in the area. Also Jenny was very responsive when I messaged her if I could do a early check in!

It's a great beach. The room has free parking, which is very convenient. The only problem is that it's almost like a motel, and we feel the noise of cars all night and couples making love from next door. This is embarrassing! The noise kept me awake all night. But on the bright side, the room was beautiful and well equipped. The superb views on the beach are worth having.

Brett’s place is honestly such a gem in the heart of San Diego. The studio is very spacious and well-kept. The place had stainless steel appliances and a beautiful bathroom. Brett the host is very detail-oriented and provided so much including towels and cleaning supplies. Hands down the best 3 month stay I’ve had!

My stay at Brett's place was for 4 months and I had a wonderful experience living in North Park. His place felt like home for 4 months and we had everything we needed. His place was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I to live in comfortably. Brett was quick to respond to my messages and was prompt to assist with anything regarding his space. The neighborhood is safe, peaceful and quiet, which is a huge plus. I 100% recommend this space for a quick weekend stay and/or a longer stay. Location is perfect: clean, safe and close to everything. Condo and complex are nice too. Condo has top notch shower system so it's a big plus for those who likes European style shower. Brett is extremely organized and detail oriented person. Everything has it's own label in his place, we found that system very helpful. Highly recommended!

Being within walking distance to Sunset Cliffs and ocean Beach also Mission Beach this location if you wanna be in heart and center of San Diego. You got your own private Bed & Bathroom nice and quiet room to sleep in at night I highly recommend this place place for a visit in beautiful San Diego.

Tara's place is uniquely designed to provide a private stay and a great value for anyone visiting ocean beach. I traveled there on business for 4 days in a row and can honestly say I felt like I was in a hotel Room with regards to the privacy and respect there of. Never met Tara in my life but I'm all about value and this delivered cost effective value! Loved the bike angle and used it alot. Thanks Tara!

The room is much better than in photography: it is spacious and clean. The location of the accommodation is perfect for enjoying the local animation of Ocean Beach, and for going for a bike ride (they are included). I recommand it !

Tara is a careful host, she marked almost everything which is convenient for you to find it. And write down important information in the instruction manual for your understanding. You can park your car at the yard, and it's easy to find the location by the Google navigation. And it is also very close to the San Diego Sea World. The room is faced to the giant green field with nice view. It's highly recommended.

I stayed at the garden studio unit for two nights - a very nice place, quiet with a VERY comfortable bed and bedding which I really appreciate especially at the end of a longer trip. Everything that I needed for a short stay was there, and I did use the beach towels to get out to the beach. Communication was perfect and the directions to access the secluded unit were detailed. Perfect location for the spots that I wanted to visit - mainly Hillcrest and Balboa Park. If I'm back in SD I would definitely stay here again.

This is our third time staying with Wolf, and our first in the garden studio. I really can't say enough about the space (garden and tower)! The studio is adorable, quiet, peaceful, and close to a ton of great breweries, restaurants, and shops. The space has a stovetop, a fridge, and utensils for easy meals/snacks. Wolf is really great about communication and gives great recommendations if you need any ideas. Check-in and check-out is a breeze (uses a lockbox system), which is great if you have an early or late flight or have a flexible ETA. We'll definitely be back, and would highly, highly recommend the space for sure!

This space is absolutely stunning. It’s so clean, so modern, and so quiet and relaxing. It’s the perfect escape, and definitely great for a small getaway with friends. Pedro is an excellent host because he’s amazing at communication. Anytime I had a question, he responded very quickly. I felt very welcomed and accommodated. I definitely recommend this space! :)

I just needed a private space to sleep and shower that was proximal to downtown. I didnt need over the top amenities or fancy touches. For the price I paid, I got exactly what I asked for. And the wifi was fast. For anyone looking for basic accommodations and budget friendly pricing, I would recommend this place.

Nico’s place is well described in his detailed listing description. The neighborhood is as described: a colorful working class culture with a mixture of business (pawn shops, barbers, beauty parlors, recycling centers, salvage yards, diners) & private residences. He has artfully created a little oasis in his spot, privately tucked behind the main house, with creative use of materials and plants to create a garden maze of RV lodgings behind a facade of cladding to create a more structural feel. We had a pleasant 1 night visit. Something to note: hot tub hours end quite early (9 pm), & as the hot tub takes a while to heat up, use should be planned well ahead of time to avoid missing out.

I would have given more than five starts for value for this place! Loved the outdoor area and stylish walkways! I felt comfortable in the little trailer :) cute vintage sink, clean, and I didn’t mind the squeeze into the hot shower. The area is not dangerous. Yes, it’s near downtown and you might encounter harmless homeless people but I felt safe. Cute local shops in walking distance. Close to freeways and access to anywhere in SD. Can’t find anywhere in San Diego for this price and privacy!

Love love my private RV Airbnb! Super convenient and private! I work from home so the space, WiFi and quietness is exactly what I was looking for! Nico is awesome in responding and was super helpful! I love the area as being close to downtown! Checking in system is super smooth and organized it’s so impressive.. signs all around to guide to your unit, love it! It is absolutely safe in there too neighborhood residents are so nice, but if your picky and sketchy around just basic low income humans, then don’t stay here cuz you won’t like it! I loved the privacy of this stand alone unit. The owners were quick with responding and friendly to any questions of mine. Great light came in the window. Nice outdoor seating and tables. Bed was comfortable. Shower had good pressure. Clean, fresh place. Great value. Nice walk to the beach. Easy to walk to Starbucks, Trader Joe's and all the fun stuff in the area. Highly recommend you stay here!

Isabel’s place is very private and quiet. The rental was comfortable and very clean. It is a 7 minute drive to the pier and very close to Pacific Beach restaurants and activities. I would recommend staying here.

Took a weekend trip to San Diego, and Isabel’s place was fantastic. Location was perfect, as we were able to get to all restaurants/attractions in PB in a short ride. Isabel’s communication was almost immediate, and she offered plenty of options for dining, sight seeing, etc during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great location and value! Access and check-in was so easy and there is plenty of street parking. This is a very spacious studio; bed is comfy; plenty of bedding and pillows; beautiful garden and use of the roof top patio with views of the ocean, downtown and Mission Bay. We could walk to dinner, shopping, coffee shops, and the beach. Isabel was a gracious host and made sure our stay was comfortable.

This was a great space for us to explore the area. Nice having the larger bed, super comfy too. Only thing to note for parents is that it was too cold for our son with only the space heater in the winter. For us adults it was ok and definitely would not an issue most of the time due to the temperate California weather, but worth sharing. Otherwise it's a fantastic place!

This place is AMAZING. The only unfortunate thing was one of the room the celling fan and light didn’t work but otherwise, everything else was great. Check in was super easy and so was checking out. You have your own driveway to park in so it was super easy. Kinda far away from major stuff in San Diego but that’s my fault for not checking. The price definitely made up for it and the host was really genuine. The towels were provided. The beds were really soft. Even the shampoo and condition were great. I will stay here again the next time I come to San Diego for sure.

We enjoyed our stay in Chula Vista very much. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Bryan was very responsive and helpful. The snacks and waters were a nice added touch too!!

All the reviews you've read are pretty accurate and on point. Bryan is definitely an awesome host. Before and during our trip he was extremely friendly and helpful. Bryan made it very easy to check in and check out. We actually arrived in San Diego around 8:30am. Bryan was great enough to let us use his garage to store our luggage before the 4pm check in. All we had to do was let him know when we arrived and he was able to remotely open and close his garage door for us. This was my family's first time using an AirBnb and my two sons (14 and 11) were not too thrilled about "living in someone else's house." Afterwards they agreed it was definitely way better than being crammed into a hotel room. It's small and cozy and we all still had room to spread around and not bump into each other. The beds and pillow were, oh my gosh, so comfortable. After a day out exploring San Diego, we all crashed so easily. The location of the house is on a somewhat busy street and could be a little difficult to get in and out of the driveway. But we really didn't have any problems. We didn't back up the car into the driveway like Bryan had suggested and when we would reverse out, it was fine. You just have to wait a bit and the lights turn red and the road is clear to back out. I would say the area is not much of a scenic/vacationey place but we didn't pick it for that reason. The price for the place was great, the decor, size and so many positive reviews helped to make the decision to choose this place.

This place was "as advertised" and more. Clean, bright, very well cared for. Bed were really comfortable. Although there isn't a kitchen coffee and snacks were available, including bottle water by the bedside and cokes in the fridge. Convenient to SD yet out of the hustle. We would readily stay here again.

Absolutely loved staying at Michelle’s place! My friend and I were in town for a quick jaunt and we were delighted at the coziness & comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had all that we needed. The location is perfect, just a 20 minute walk to the Gaslamp Quarter and a great price value for the location. I’ll definitely stay here next time i’m in the area

Stephanie and Nathan have an incredibly insta-worthy Airbnb! Before arrival, they sent over an amazing list of food and local recommendations. There were also so many thoughtful touches, from the local coffee available in the home, cozy blankets and the Malin & Goetz soaps. The sunsets and views are also magical. I highly recommend their place! I hope to come again soon.

We stayed in SD for Super Bowl and my birthday. The location was perfect as we walked everywhere easily. The Apartment was spacious and immaculate. Perfect outdoor areas for hanging out and enjoying the great view. The five floor walk up is no joke but got used to it by day 2. Hosts were easy to reach and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

We made a last minute trip to Little Italy and came across Stephanie and Nathan’s place. So happy we decided on this and not a generic hotel. We were able to walk to delicious eateries, cute boutiques, and fun night clubs. The Farmers’ Market on Saturday was also within walking distance and filled with great finds and delicious food. We really enjoyed their ‘slice’ of Little Italy. Thanks so much.

The view was AMAZING. Nothing like waking up to a gorgeous view of San Diego. The loft was the perfect size for the 2 of us. Don’t forget to go on their rooftop lounging area. So beautiful and relaxing. Even though the loft didn’t come with a parking spot, street parking was still surprisingly available. The only thing I wish was different was the check in time was earlier than 4 pm.

Silver's condo is in a great location to get to everything in the Gaslamp district and close to Balboa Gardens (and the zoo). It was clean and exactly as described in the listing and pictures. I highly recommend Jeff's place it was neat, accessible, inexpensive, and very quiet. In just an 8 minute walk you can walk to a liquor store, kebab restaurant, and a clothing shop.
