Barbara's place is lovely, it's in a great location with beautiful views of the lake. We were travelling with our one year old and arrived to a portacot set up and high chair ready at the table, we didn't even request these so it was such a lovely surprise that Barbara had these ready knowing we were travelling with a toddler. The place was roomy and clean with lots of local tips, we would definitely stay again!

The property is well organised and complete with all the amenities required. This included a baby changing area outside the bathroom. From the property it takes nearly an hour to walk into the centre of Rotorua to visit the thermal park and restaurants. Barbara was away during our stay, however she had arranged for her friend to greet us and to provide us with any help that we needed upon arrival. This was incredibly kind of her and greatly appreciated. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Rotorua.

A very clean well appointed and organised Airbnb space. It was in a lovely location in a quiet road, although a little away from the centre of town. Parking in Rotorua is plentiful so getting downtown to the restaurants, the sightseeing spots and the night street market was not a problem. I would stay here again if in Rotorua again.

Staying at Johns place was truly great. John is such a fantastic host. He has the best ideas and advices for activities in the area. His place is lovely and everything is tidy, clean and comfortable. If you're around Rotorua you should stay at John's.

Loved staying here in town. The perfect location if you are staying for a few days and want to see a lot of the area. It was easy to find, easy to park on the street, and the check in was easy as well. The hosts were incredibly gracious. We had the chance to meet Anthony and his son and talk to them about the culture, the history, the location activities, and about the landscapes. They were very sweet and thoughtful. Hinemoa had a large amount of travel brochures and pamphlets for us to read. This was a nice touch and helped us plan our time. The tiny kitchen had everything that we needed for breakfasts and snacks and light cooking. The bedrooms were some of the softest beds that I have ever slept on at a B&B. The green space in her backyard was enjoyable and we loved the little visit by the kitten and dog that they had. We enjoyed every bit of the trip! Great visit.

Very good hostel and host Answer your questions promptly It's not mentioned in the introduction, but there's an electric mat in the bed so you can't feel cold in bed. It was so satisfying that I was lucky to have stayed at this house in Rotorua. The only downside is that It's about 4km from the city. If you don't think there are any tourists coming to Rotorua by public transport, I think 4km is not a long distance by car. I was much more satisfied than I expected.

A lovely, cosy and comfortable chalet in a peaceful and quiet location. Spotlessly clean. Hinemoa was a pleasure to deal with and communication prompt and efficient.

Communication was great from booking. Property was easy to find and was very comfortable and homely. We were 3 adults and had plenty of space and everything we needed. Would certainly recommend!

This was our first stay in NZ, and it was such a delight! We definitely experienced the kiwi hospitality we had heard about! It was nice to do our laundry here. The space is artfully styled & had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfy, and there were extra blankets. It was really nice that we could not smell the sulfur of Rotorua inside the space! We really loved it overall!

Staying with Gaelyn in her nice, cozy home was wonderful. It was the perfect place for relaxing and resting after several days with long distance drives and loads of activities. The breakfast was certainly one of the best that I was ever offered in an Airbnb, consisting of different types of muesli/cornflakes, yoghurt, fruit salad as well as a rich assortment of jams and spreads to put on toast. A side note for animal lovers: Be prepared to share the house with Autumn, Gaelyn's shy, but very sweet cat, who sometimes meowed quite a bit, although that never bothered my girlfriend nor me.

The location is amazing as it’s close to a lot of the main attractions! Gaelyn was really lovely and ensured we had a comfortable stay. She also gave us some great recommendations before we head off to discover Rotorua! Would definitely recommend staying here.

First of all Lynette is an amazing host. The room is very comfortable and stylish, with lots of books and brochures, and it has a separate entrance - still the kitchen and the bathroom are just a door away. The house has all amenities you might need during your stay, also two very friendly cats. The house is sparkling clean. You can park in the garden. All attractions are a short ride away. Never stayed in such a comfortable airbnb especially for this price. Would 100% recommend staying there. Thank you.

Accommodation is near town centre but really quiet. There are two lovely cats. Lynnette provided toast, cereals as well as hot drinks for breakfast. She is a lovely host.

Lynette is a lovely host and makes sure her guests are comfortable any time. Cute cats and a well equipped kitchen, a sunny patio and a comfy bed. Bus stop just at the letter box: runs every 30min straight to the iSite - careful about check-out because it leaves shortly before 10 and otherwise will have you waiting half an hour!

The petite pod was wonderful, very clean, cosey and pretty. Communication was great and Matthew greeted us and checked us in. The fluffy grey kitty was an extra bonus and very friendly! We love kitty cuddles and the fresh coffee was a lovely touch. There is also a wee ginger kitty on site too. I would recommend this accommodation and would happily stay again.

Super cute “tiny house” style space! The bed is very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. My husband is a tall guy and he fit just fine! The included breakfast was a nice amenity, and there was a small table and chairs outside perfect for enjoying the New Zealand weather with a cup of tea. If you are interested in tiny house living near all the fun stuff in Rotorua, definitely stay here!

Lovely little space with everything you need and a hot tub! Lovely and clean. Short walk to the town with shopping, food and a cinema. We only stopped over one night on our way through but could easily have stayed there longer. Although it's a pod it has everything you need and there are some basics too including cereal, milk, tea and coffee. Easy check in and a lovely welcome from Matthew and a good bye from Tracey. I would highly recommend.

The "petite pod" was just what we needed for our quick stay in Rotorua! It's a cozy little room behind the house, but they've made the absolute most of the space, and the location was very convenient to drive to local attractions (check out the "Hot And Cold" hot springs/geysers!) and to walk into town/dinner. Matthew and Tracey were communicative and accommodating and made everything very easy!

Great central spot in Rotorua. A short drive to the main area with all the restaurants but very close to Red woods and other restaurants. The room was beautifully designed and just what we needed for a few days. Thankful for the tea, milk, cookies and water that were provided.

Chloe was a great host and on hand to give any help or advise. The loft is spacious and well equipped with a comfortable bed. It was a lovely place to stay.

Our visit to Rotorua was made immensely better because of Chloe’s superb tips and guidance on where to go and what to do. We so enjoyed talking with the family; that’s why we stay in AirBnb’s - to meet and chat with locals. The place was very quiet and we slept well. The shower was great with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The location was excellent. We took a very long walk in the nearby redwood forest. So peaceful! We would stay there again.

Chloe and Andy were excellent hosts, going above and beyond in helping us out with local tips, and even doing a load of washing for us. We had a fab time in Rotorua and the apartment is well-located near the redwoods and lots of nice places to walk. We enjoyed a trail-run round the blue lake which is only about a 10 min drive away. Was great to have a hot plate so we could do a bit of cooking as well.

This studio is in a great location on the edge of town right next to the amazing Redwoods and on the road out to the lakes swimming, boating and walking areas. Yet it’s in easy walking distance to local shops and cafés. It’s a great base for exploring this lovely area as well as being quiet and comfortable, with good facilities for cooking if you want to self-cater.

Perfect location if you want to walk to the Redwoods, and if you have a car then it's a short couple of minutes drive to downtown. The streets in this area are quiet and the hosts were welcoming.

Chloe was very helpful in proving us with what to do around Rotorua, they made us feel very welcome and were so friendly.

We had a great stay at Chloe’s and Andy’s place (total 3 nights). They are lovely hosts and took good care of us throughout our stay. Their hospitality is impeccable. The communication was excellent and they responded to us immediately for any requests. The property: - living area is spacious - kitchen is slightly tight but is well equiped (including a hot plate which allows for cooking). The kitchen also has a skylight! - bed is very comfortable; linens are crisp and clean - the bathroom and the toilet could be updated but did not cause us any concerns/issues. The bathroom does not have a plug so hair drying/straightening has to be done in the hallway (where a mirror is provided so it was ok for us) - location is great Overall, good value for money. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely quaint room with everything you need. Shane and Jules are very accomodating and are available to assist whenever possible. If you’re planning on running the Tarawera Ultra, this house is only 500 metres away from the starting point Te Puia (depending on race).

The cottage is a really nice place to enjoy your time Rotorua. It is pretty close to both Maori Villages and the Thermal Reserve. For all the other activities you'll find some information in the cottage. Shane&Jules have been very friendly and communicated well. The cottage has all you need to spend some great days in Rotorura. There even were some cold drinks in the fridge and cereals/toast for breakfast. I definitely recommend this place for your vacation.

Perfect location, gorgeous studio, superb stay. The room blew me away with how stylishly decorated it was, it had a lovely little nook sorrounded by windows where we would drink our coffee with breakfast in the morning and watch the birds. Plenty of privacy, but we were still able to chat with Shane and Julia a couple times. They had great suggestions for what to do around town. Overall really lovely experience.

Very quiet, very close to the city center, pleasant house

Leigh is a great host, she was very welcoming and gave us a lot of tips on what to see and where to go. She even picked us up from the bus station (twice) - thank you again for that! Her place is cosy, with lots of pretty details and Oreo is such a friendly cat. We can only recommend staying with her while visiting Rotorua.

Matthew and Kelly have obviously put a lot of thought into all the little touches that make a stay special. Like the chocolates and snacks on arrival, having a mixture of drinks the in the fridge for guests, tea and coffee available, lots of spare toiletries etc. It is those extra little touches that set this place apart.

What an amazing stay! The only downside was that we didn’t stay longer. Carole and Ian were wonderful hosts, who offered great suggestions for dining and activities. They were available when needed and respected our privacy. The space was sparkling clean and modern. Also very close to Rotorua! A 5 min drive to restaurants. The outdoor patio was very special- a little oasis with beautiful plants and the sounds of birds- a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Charlie the Cat is the welcome wagon and he is so adorable. Secret Garden is a beautiful house. Even though kitchen is not part of the house, Carole politely accepted our request to heat our food. Very close to the blue green Lake circuit

The home garden is so well decorated! There is a key in the key box and separate toilet so you can relax comfortably from the host. Welcome food (simple fruit and snacks) was good too! 5 minutes by car from Redwood, 12 minutes to city center and quiet in quiet residential area. I think I'll go here again if I go back to Rotorua

Greg was a nice host, his apartment was spacious and very well equipped. The bed was very comfy too. Good value for money! You do need a car there as it’s a little way from the centre of town. Thanks for hosting us.

Greg & Lily’s place was perfect for our quick stop in Rotorua. It was just as we expected - clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The thoughtful touches were so sweet - fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, bread and jams. Most Airbnb rentals in the states don’t actually provide breakfast, so it was such a nice surprise that Greg & Lily did. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks again!

Had a fantastic stay at On The Point while visiting Rotorua. The communication from the host was fantastic and the information provided on arrival was full of great tips which we made the most of. The views from this accommodation are amazing and the place is spotless inside, including the travel cot which was so handy. We’d highly recommend staying here. We absolutely loved it.

We just had a great 2 night stay at Mary's lovely home in Rotorua. Great place and great location. Mary and her daughter made us feel at home from the start and we really enjoyed our short stay with them. Their house and the independent unit we stayed was just gorgeous....a home from home!!

Lovely clean place. Interesting personal touches. Good cooking facilities. Also washer and dryer. Everything you could need. Highly recommend for any couple. No 9 bus goes close. About 25 minutes walk of $7 in an Uber. Very handy for main highway and easy to find.

We had a lovely time at Daniel’s place. Clean and stylish apartment that made us feel like home. Daniel was very good at communicating with us and left us a lot of tips and activities to do in the area. We’ll definitely recommend his place to everyone that visit Rotorua.

Dan’s place is exceptional in every way. We knew it looked good in the pictures, but those don’t even do it justice. If you’re looking for an Airbnb in Rotorua, this is the place to stay! It’s about a fifteen minute walk to the main part of Rotorua, and about 5 minutes from K-Mart. This was easily the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Thanks again, Dan!

This is an excellent Airbnb, the location on a quiet street but close to everything with parking included. The decor is lovely, and we appreciated all the small details. New Zealand toiletry products, more than two towels ( and they were fluffy), fresh fruit, coffee, milk etc. Daniel you’ve spoiled us for the next 5 Airbnbs we’re staying in on this trip. Also the bed was super comfy, really important in an Airbnb. We highly recommend this Airbnb.

Daniel's place was fantastic to stay at! The place was incredibly clean, well put together, cozy, and outfitted with everything we needed. He even included some nice soap/shampoo that was in a nice little basket in the bathroom. And Daniel was an incredible host. We didn't get the chance to meet him in person (timing didn't work out), but he was an incredible host over the app. He was extremely attentive, had very fast responses, and gave us great recommendations for places to go and places to eat that made our stay better. Highly recommend staying here.

Daniel’s place was exactly as described. Very clean, stylish and functional space. Some nice touches like the guide book, coffee and milk and fruit provided. Having a covered parking spot was also a great addition. Would recommend to anyone travelling to the Rotorua area.

John’s place was very clean and had the basic amenities required! It is also located opposite a countdown supermarket and near to town. Would recommend this place!

While we didn't have any in person interaction, John was very responsive via text and let us know that we could come well before check-in time (due to another Airbnb-er leaving early), which was really nice. The place was clean, and had a fan which was a nice surprise. We had everything that we needed in our own little private part of the home. Also, parking was super easy, and having a grocery store across the street was really convenient.

John's small but very well equipped apartment is very centrally located with very good connections to shopping and tourist attractions. We particularly appreciated the privacy offered. Thank you very much for that!

Great hosts and great house. Manita is very friendly and was always available if we had questions. Everything is organised very well - it’s possible to self check-in and the kitchen was easy to navigate, as everything is labelled. We had a great stay and got to meet and chat with people who stayed in other rooms. I would recommend this place.

Manita & Edwin is a very friendly host. We stayed for two days and had a good time. The house was clean and tidy, the living room was spacious and bright, and the room was airy. We share the living room, kitchen and bathroom with other guests, and everything is in order. It was a great stay experience!

Manita & Edwin are very nice people, Manita is really the organizer and all the rules are very well posted and very clear. No surprises and Manita has a bubbling personality. Nice place to stay😊

Manita and Edwin’s place is so lovely and charming! Seeing all their travels on the wall is so sweet. They have notes all around the house to help you out and a beautiful kitchen with lots of kitchen tools for you to use if you’re making your own food like we were. Their home is beautiful and clean and not far from everything in Rotorua. We would definitely stay here again if we are passing through once more. Highly recommend!

I only stay here for one night, and we got here very late, so I didn’t see the host. The room is clean and big. Just the bed is a little bit soft for Chinese.

We had a very nice stay at Jeffery and Vicki's place. They were great hosts with us, very caring with our little kids and even allowing us to use the kitchen when needed. The place is very clean and cosy and the patio with garden is also very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend a stay at Jeffery's place!

We loved our stay at Phil and Melva’s place! The retreat was comfortable and very clean. We loved taking out the kayaks on the river for a quick paddle!

We had a wonderful time at Melva’s place. The unit was well stocked with kitchen supplies and even had a knife sharpener (having sharp knives at the air bnb is a rare luxury). We really loved the outdoor areas and the trail by the creek. They provided excellent instructions and a helpful list of things to do in the area. The only inconvenient piece is the layout, the only bathroom is located in a bathroom. It’s also a hard place to take a nap, possibly sleep in the very back bedroom but the other areas are just highly used. Overall it was a very relaxing place to stay. I would highly recommend to others!

Great place, very clean and comfortable, with all necessary aspects to make your say delightful! We certainly enjoyed grilling our dinner 😊 The house is a bit outside Rotorua, in a quiet neigborhood (a major advantage for us but it requires you have a car) and is next to a stream roaming with fish (bring your own equipment). The owners provide precise and comprehensible instructions, which made it very easy to make ourselves comfortable in no time. We highly recommend it 😊

We had a great time in Phil and Melva's house! Access to the lake with kayaks is a real plus. The garden and the terrace are very pleasant and the bedding comfortable. I recommend !

Great hosts! The room was sweet with a view of the garden and lakeside. We took the kayaks out for a paddle with the swans. Great tips from our host about places to see and loads of brochures to plan our time in the area. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the 'Honeymoon Suite' which had its own private entrance and opened onto a lovely garden with direct access to the lake. We enjoyed borrowing the hosts kayaks. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The room had its own small fridge which was useful but we could also use the hosts kitchen. Breakfast was provided and was good, plenty to keep us going. Etty was very welcoming and helpful.

My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon suite for one night and wished we had been able to stay longer. The back yard is so peaceful, and the house is an easy drive to town center. Stephen and Etty were very hospitable and helpful with local tips. Highly recommend!

The honeymoon suite is the lower level of the house. It does connect to the rest of the house but it also has its own entrance and bathroom which is nice. They provided milk, tea, and coffee for us as well as many breakfast options. They also had many brochures for nearby things to do. One of my favorite parts was standing out by the water with my coffee and taking in the gorgeous views of the lake and their garden areas.

An immaculate property on the lake. Every amenity you can imagine with all the special touches such as fresh flowers and fruit. Coffees, teas, with both fresh heavy and light creams were supplied. A package of local delicious chocolate bars were in the frig. Linda is delightful and very quick to respond to any needs. The kayaks were a blast but be safe and don’t take them too far off shore. We got to know some of the neighbors and they were all most helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay at the lakes, it was very comfortable. We also had some lovely visitors (ducks) . Would recommend the lakes for a peaceful place to come and escape and relax with fun things to do an easy drive away.
