We had a wonderful stay at Carol's place. The house and the view are amazing, the location is unmatched, you can't be closer to the sea! The town and the surrounding seashore are lovely and we had a nice walk starting from the house. Our only regret is to have arrived 15 minutes too late to really enjoy the sunset from the terrace. Carol and Roy were very friendly and welcoming hosts. We spent one week in Cape Town area and this was definitely our best experience. Enjoy!

Great location for a weekend getaway.

It was a pleasure to stay with Carol and Roy. The location of the house was just amazing, the view kept us mesmerized and the space was well organised with a great big kitchen, three comfortable rooms and bathrooms, and a deck that is great for a braai and wine. Carol went beyond expectations in making us feel comfortable, she even went out looking for Easter eggs for our kids. We definitely will be back again.

Such kind and generous hospitality we have never before encountered! We arrived at this beautiful home and were met by Piet and Petro, Conrad's parents. Petro had set a beautiful table and provided us with a delicious finger lunch and champagne and had also packed the fridge with everything for a full breakfast for the next day as well as salads, drinks and wine! Wow, we were amazed and so appreciative of this incredible kindness. The house was immaculately clean and tidy and very comfortable. The uninterrupted sea views were mesmerizing and we had the most wonderful stay. We can highly recommend this wonderful home and generous hosts and we can't wait to go back!

The house is in a fantastic location right on the coastline looking over a beautiful rocky bay, with mountains in the back garden! The location is quiet, peaceful and dramatic, and the house itself is fitted out to a very high quality throughout. Piet and Petro are wonderfully warm and welcoming, and were extremely helpful during our stay. A very easy-to-give 5-stars. Highly recommended.

Great location, however, the area can get very windy so come prepared. We enjoyed our stay regardless.

We were made exceedingly welcome with a great welcome pack and full explanations of the features of the property. We were given advice on places to visit and experience. The house was beautifully presented throughout with, unique in our experience, an indoor brai (BBQ) as well as an outdoor one. The top floor terrace affords fabulous views of the sea and the surrounding area and spectacular night skies. Like many places in South Africa security is a serious issue in respect of people and animals, baboons are frequently seen in the area and can come close to the house. However the house has a very sophisticated alarm system so we felt very secure and relaxed. The property is ideal for those seeking a device free holiday as there is currently no t.v. or wifi. Rooi Els is a small community with a nice local pub offering a good choice of meals and we felt like friends by the time we left. There is also a small shop selling essentials +. Pringle Bay is only a 10 minute drive away and whilst also quite small offers a range of shops and places to eat and a big sandy beach. We stayed for 5 days, just the two of us, but there is ample room for more as described by the owner, and is clearly designed for larger parties.

Beautiful position and the perfect getaway holiday house.

We stayed in "Oystercatchers" for two weeks over the end-of-year holidays. We were delighted by the fabulous location, scenic views, easy access to the beach and the general facilities and comfort of the house. This was ideal for us (2 families) for a relaxed, no-fuss holiday. The house was clean and tidy, and upon arrival we were well briefed on how to make most of our stay. The owners were well organised in all aspects. Although the house has been well "lived in" with some rustic furniture, all bedrooms had comfortable beds with reasonably new bed linen and nice towels. One of our highlights was the outside shower - Lovely hot water to wash off the salt after a swim in the sea or a run on the beach. Lovely braai facilities and large pots if you are preparing crayfish! We would definitely consider this house for future holidays!

We spent a fantastic long weekend at this amazing beach house. Perfectly situated right on the stunning Rooi Els beach – we spent our evenings sipping wine on the lawn watching the sunset over Cape Town, spent our days exploring the nearby Hemel en Aarde Valley, Pringle Bay and Betty's Bay and woke up in the mornings to the most phenomenal ocean view from the master bedroom. The family holiday home had everything we needed and we felt perfectly safe and our belongings secure. Host Wendy was responsive and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to make the most of our stay. Definitely a must for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some of what the beautiful Cape has to offer!

The description is a perfect fit. The location is ideal, beautiful view and the garden is great for kids. We especially enjoyed the outside shower, many fridges, ice machine and the pool table. Ken, our host, was very engaging and sent us a helpful list of house rules ahead of our stay. The house offers everything one could possibly need for a great family holiday.

We had a fantastic time at Andre and Johline's beautiful and unique home. They were warm and welcoming on arrival and ran through everything with us. It was the perfect spot for some much needed relaxation and family time. Our favourite thing was sitting on the deck watching the whales and incredible sunsets.

It was a pleasure dealing with Andre and Johline. We were greeted warmly by their daughter and son in law who showed us around and made sure we know how everything works. The house is absolutely stunning, as are the views and the setting. It is very well equipped with everything you might need. There are lots of space to relax and I would say it's a perfect choice for couples or famlies wanting to go on holiday together. We enjoyed the indoor braai very much. You have views of the ocen from every room, even the main en-suite. There is just too much about this special home to mention. I also appreciated the fresh milk left for us in the fridge. Thank you Andre & Johline and to Clinton too.

A fantastic weekend in a well equipped house. The hosts were very friendly and available to deal with any issues. A great place for a quiet getaway in a piece of unspoiled nature.

Andre was warm and welcoming on arrival. The house is absolutely lovely. It is big and interesting and full of little design surprises. You can either find a quiet space and read a book or be social in the very generous lounge/dining room/kitchen/deck area from which the view is beautiful. The house is very well equipped, we loved it and I look forward to staying there again. The area is great for walking and cycling.

A comfortable house, close to the beach (and to the pub!) Ideal for families. Would be great if wifi could be provided in future. Communication with Gordon was great!

What a stunning location to get out of the bustle of Cape Town with friends. Beautiful house, spectacular view of the ocean and fantastic braai area;)

WOW. That was the word that we used the most during our stay, 2 couples of friends in this amazing beach house. Rooi Els is a tiny tiny place with nothing to do besides staying at a place like this, luxurious villa just on the rocky waterfront. Eva's house is without any question the best in the area, with a perfect isolated location with 180 degrees of sea view. Come prepared to BBQ and relax and stay in as the sea is stormy and not so much to bath in it, or there's lots of attractions in the area. Didn’t meet Eva but the communication with her was smooth and accurate. During our stay Yani and Paul looked after us so well, and we couldn’t ask for a better experience. Defiantly a place to come back to.

We would not have booked this house for a private family holiday if we knew that we had to share the house with the housekeeper. The housekeeper stayed at the end of the house with open access at anytime. There should have been more detail communication regarding the arrangements with the housekeeper.

Location Location Location. We very much enjoyed our stay in Rooi-els at Eva's house. Paul the manager and Yoli (housekeeper who resides in her own part of the house) could not have been more welcoming. Once we figured out that we needed to use the upstairs bedroom we got sorted right away. The location is magnificent - the rocky beach abuts the lawn and we spent hours scrambling over the rocks with the kids. And more hours staring at the waves crashing to shore. Eva was very helpful when we rang her up to solicit some advice for the next leg of our trip and followed up with her connections. We appreciated her help! The kitchen was nicer than others we had used at other stays and was fully equipped with plenty of pots, utensils, plates and even spices and other essentials like garbage bags and paper towels. The well maintained dishwasher and washer/dryer were a relief. The house's simple, mainly white, decor lines a long wall of windows facing the ocean for wave watching and whale spotting. The downstairs bedrooms all face the gorgeous hills. We highly recommend this one.

We stayed two nights in Evas beautiful house. Must be one of the best in Rooi Els. Awesome views of the ocean from panorama windows along the long house was the main take. We really enjoyed that. The interior was well thought out and the design features were tastefully done with simplistic elegance. The maid was very helpful and both check in and check out was flawless as was the communication with Eva who mad us feel welcome in her fantastic home.

We stayed at your lovely beach house from 30 Dec to 2 Jan. However, I would just like to point out a few grievances: •We were told check in was 3pm which already seemed quite late. We arrived 15:30 and Yonela was still busy cleaning. She only left 16:30pm. I can’t fault her – she was the perfect host. It could well be that the previous occupants checked out late. •Could of done with a bit more info about the house – Wifi password , what to do with bin bags etc Do you not have a manual ? •We had to dry all the towels in the tumbledryer as they were still wet (from the previous wash) •After having had a long, hot drive, we all walked around barefoot, but after a few minutes, we noticed our feet were pitch black – so not sure the tiled floors had been mopped. •The guest loo had not been cleaned at all and the cistern was still covered in dust and grime and was without loo roll. •No blinds in any of the bathrooms. We had to use our sarongs to drape over the windows when showering which were in full view of other houses and the guy next door was looking around with his binoculars - ladies not happy. •No bins in the bathrooms for empty loo rolls, other discarded toiletries etc •As it was pretty hot, you would assume there would be fans in the room? Nope. •The blinds in the double room were faulty and did not close properly and it was very bright early mornings. •Only one pillow ! Very average bedding quality. •The fridge was full of food and all the freezer compartments were all full. We had to ask the housekeeper to remove some off the goods in the freezer so that we could store our meat. •We eventually had to move all the existing food into one compartment of the fridge, so that we could put our perishables and condiments etc in the other sections. •We were 6 people, yet the outside sofas only had seating for 4. There were no loungers? As well as only four large wine glasses. •The outside braai was in a very obscure place. To pay almost R5k per night all in you would expect a first class retreat. We are blessed in SA to have many wonderful places to stay. To charge a premium price it has to excel and apart from the view which you can’t fault it the rest left us feeling overcharged. A cleaning service charge of R1700 was outrageous for two maids working for 4h max – alongside the offer of the additional room for $100 a night, that appeared to be included when we first booked.

Eva has a lovely home along the water. There are small, mildly challenging to walk cliffs, that separate the ocean from the property. The long, clear glass windows give you a perfect view outside. The interior is clean and cozy. There are many seating areas, so you have multiple places to read a book or have a chat with friends. There is wifi, and it's a decent speed. There is a slight stretch of dirt road before you arrive to the location. My small car handled it fine, but it did worry me a bit.

Fantastic experience. Great service from the host. Amazing house, in an amazing location. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time as a family in Nicolene's home - grandparents, parents, kids, dogs and all! The proximity to the beach is fabulous, and the river was a great and safe swimming option for the kids. We'll miss the gorgeous views but definitely plan on coming back soon!

We had such a special time at Nicolene's house in Pringle Bay. This was a very meaningful family gathering for us and the comfort of the house (complete with tasteful decor, comfy sofas, many candles which lit up our evenings, very well stocked kitchen...) and the beauty of the view from that balcony, were the perfect setting for us to celebrate our family and mark this special occasion. Thank you Nicolene for being so thoughtful and flexible around our family needs and for making sure our stay was truly memorable. We put our trust in you for this special occasion and we were rewarded with a gift which we will treasure for ever. TL/DR: this is probably the best house in Pringle Bay

A wonderful house that suits a large family with young or teenage children. Located across from the beach, we couldn't have asked for more!

A very well equipped and comfortable house with stunning beach and sea views - the covered upstairs deck is perfect for whale watching, sundowners and a BBQ.

Six of us spent two glorious weeks at this fabulous beachside house in Pringle Bay. It is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There is plenty of space inside for everything although, to be honest, we spent most of the time on the very spacious upstairs balcony marvelling at the wonderful sunsets and watching the activity in the bay. We were even lucky enough to spot some whales in the bay right in front of us early one morning. Most days we had breakfast at the Simply coffee shop in Pringle Bays little town centre...delicious and such good value it was not worth the bother or effort of cooking for ourselves. We also enjoyed a couple of wonderful evening meals at the 365 restaurant in town. A fish and chip supper from Hake Away while watching the sunset from the balcony is also highly recommended. The only thing to be aware of is if there is a mixture of late and early rises (as there was with our group) is that being a mostly upside down house it can disturb the people sleeping in the downstairs bedrooms when there are people moving around upstairs but this certainly wouldn't stop me from recommending this wonderful house as a fabulous place to stay for a very relaxing holiday.

Crowded house was as amazing as we had hoped. The house is beautiful and has all the things one would need for a weekend away! We loved every second! Walk to the beach, braai, bird watching and relaxing!

We had an amazing stay at Crowded House, the house is set in a beautiful garden with amazing mountain views and it's an easy walk to the beach and the town centre. The house itself is large and very cozy with a log fire and plenty of games to keep the kids occupied on chilly nights. Lindsay was super helpful and made the whole process seamless. Definitely one of the best spots to stay if you want to make the most of what stunning Pringle Bay has to offer!

Great spot in Pringle Bay! Family & pet friendly which was perfect for us. Loved the eclectic decor and spent most of our time playing scrabble and drinking red wine in front of the cosy fireplace! The beach is a few minutes walk from the house which is super convenient! Would definitely recommending staying at the Crowded House.

This beautifully, eclectically decorated house is walking distance to the Pringle Bay beach and lagoon, the location is brilliant. We felt the kitchen needed some new pots, pans and replacement of basic utencils. Bedrooms are gorgeously decorated and bedding also beautiful.

Lindsay was an awesome host. She communicated well and made us feel very welcome. The place itself was great. Well located for awesome beach walks, and perfectly suited for a lazy weekend of relaxing and cooking. Another bonus is that it's pet friendly. Highly recommend it.

A home away from home! Well postioned as close to lagoon and beach. We really enjoyed the garden- kids paradise. House is well equiped and has awesome feel to it. Loved the decor too. Definitely staying there again.

Windbreak is in beautiful spot in Pringle Bay with a great view over the beach and mountains. Set up well with all the basics and very comfortable. Easy walk down to the beach. A little better set up for summer rather than winter - as a big storm blew in while we were there and there isn't any heating. A fireplace would have been nice! Theresa was very helpful, especially letting us check out a little later on the day we were leaving, and making sure we had the electricity meter all topped up before it ran short.

We had a stunning and fabulous stay at Windbreak. It is a superb location and the kids loved the beautiful sea view and the marvellous beach. The house is simple but perfectly equipped. Thank you Teresa for the prompt communication.

What a fantastic find! We had such a fantastic holiday at Windbreak. The location was outstanding. The house was neat and clean and extremely comfortable. Theresa made us feel right at home and was incredibly welcoming. Can't recommend this gem enough! Thank you!

What a slice of heaven! The house was perfect for our needs. It was simply and tastefully decorated and every room had the most gorgeous view! The living area seemed small when we arrived but it was actually perfect for all of us and we spent days on the veranda and evenings in the lounge and kitchen area. Everyone commented that the beds were really comfy and they slept like babies! I was worried that 7 adults using one loo and shower would be a mess but we managed perfectly for the 3 days. The short walk/drive to the beach was no problem for us as being higher up on the hill gave us the most glorious view of the ocean and beach, we could see Simon's Town when it was clear! The space was tranquil and the bird life awesome! We did a tour with Brian: (URL HIDDEN) which was awesome as he took us around the area looking for all the Cape-based birds we don't get in Gauteng. Thank you Theresa and Paul for making us feel welcome and sharing your special place with us! We will be back!

This is a great little holiday cottage gem in Pringle Bay, the views are incredible and it's a short 8min walk to the beach. It's at the river end of the beach so even when the sea is rough you can swim in the river and the kids can play in the sand. There is a couple of shops and restaurants nearby although everything closes early in the evening so beware. We got caught short with no toilet paper!
