The place was quirky and weird and wonderful and Ali and Mikey were amazing hosts that gave us great advise on where to hike and even loaned us a pair of snowshoes. Incredible time in the mountains at their place!

Great place to stay!

Me and two other friends were the first ones to stay at Alison's new AirBnB. Ali and Mike have a beautiful and COZY spot located close to Redstone and Avalanche Hot Springs. Musical instruments, plants, good coffee, good people. Also, good lighting throughout the house and outside by the hot tub. I could LIVE HERE!

This was, without exaggeration, one of the most magical places either one of us has ever been. The land itself—nestled amongst breathtaking views, blanketed in wildflowers, held in silence broken only by birds or leaves in the breeze—is more than reason enough to come here. The caretaker Jim was incredibly warm and helpful whilst maintaining a respectful distance and allowing us to really soak in the peace of where we were. The house is more beautiful than even the photographs can convey. It's hard to imagine wanting to come inside from the beauty of the natural world around it, but when you do you're met with coziness and comfort just as lovely. High-beamed ceilings, huge windows, beautiful touches in every corner, and everything you could possibly need for a luxurious, relaxing, invigorating holiday. We will definitely be coming back here, hopefully for a longer stay, and maybe with a couple friends. Oh, and the Slow Groovin' BBQ less than half a mile away is out of this world. Thank you Jim for being so welcoming and helpful, and we look forward to the next time.

What a great relaxing and beautiful spot! Jim was great to meet and talk with. The house is very comfortable and welcoming. We loved the porch and the heaters were great to turn on for chilly evenings. Saw a moose from the property and a few deer. Would love to return and spend more time in Marble. Frederico was great to deal with and very accommodating.

This is an amazing property; it is the kind of place that makes you realize using AirBNB is such a privilege. If you want to get away to a beautiful setting, amazing home, and lovely mountain climate then this is your chance. We had a wonderful time at this location. Jim the caretaker was attentive and just a genuinely nice person. We saw deer and humming birds every day sitting on the amazing porch with world-class views. We would recommend long hikes, mountain bikes rides at the Price creek area (30 mins away near Carbondale), fly fishing the local lakes or crystal river depending on the water flow, and renting ATVs and going up to Crystal Mill. Have your mountain adventures then come back to paradise. It is better than the pictures.

We spent a long Labor Day Weekend at Eric’s off-grid home and couldn't have picked a better place. It was the perfect antidote to our busy life. As soon as we arrived we felt transported to a rustic Colorado mountain town. Situated just above the wonderful small town of Marble via a beautiful well maintained dirt road, the views are absolutely stunning. The space itself is beautifully designed and furnished – and it’s clear much thought was put into the home while maximizing the indoor/outdoor vibe. Equipped with all the creature comforts, the house is down right warm and welcoming(URL HIDDEN)Eric was also an ideal host making the experience seamless. He supplied a very useful guidebook to the house as well as some local sites – and was readily available when we had a question. Overall, it's hard to imagine regretting a stay at Eric’s home and trip to Marble – just wish we had stayed longer.

Everything about Eric's cabin was PERFECT. If you're looking for a real getaway vacation/trip, I definitely recommend this place. The view is absolutely astonishing - you need to check it out at sunrise. Pictures don't do justice. Eric made both check-in and -out very easy and responded to any of our questions pretty much right away. Would love to go back in the future.

Special place - wonderful views!

There's no words to really describe how amazing the location of this cabin is with its view to the mountain side and the lake. The view was worth once in a lifetime. Plus an awesome BBQ place down the road The host was wonderful. A lot of very helpful directions and instructions. Eric was easily available by phone and sms and just wonderful warm host that made our stay so much more welcomed.

Eric was a great host checking in on how our experience was. The house was clean and the views were breathtaking. I just wish I could have stayed there longer.

Allan and Morgan were awesome hosts! They are warm and friendly, I can only recommend them 100%. Their house sits right next to a river which makes for a very relaxing stay in the mountains. Allan even let me take his car into town when I needed it. Great guy.

Allan and Morgan are very friendly hosts. We arrived quite late but luckily that was not a problem Allan made us delicious coffee and fresh ( duck!) eggs in the morning. We had a nice chat and they gave us great recommendations on where to go next during our road trip. The house is very cosy and at a beautiful location. The room has a very comfy large bed and we slept well because of the river sounds through the windows. There is a private bathroom as well. All in all a short but great stay!

Allan's place was fantastic. It was a perfect getaway from the noises of the city and is situated ideally on the Crystal River. It's close to a lot of great attractions. Hiking, fishing, hot springs, and downtown Carbondale are all a short car ride away.

Staying at Allan's was great! I got in pretty late and he was very accommodating even though he was getting up early. The house was beautiful, right by the river, and they had oatmeal waiting for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend staying in this unique house.

Allan and Morgan were the best part of my stay. They are warm, gracious, interesting, and accommodating. They provided great dinner conversation, morning coffee, a mountain bike to use, hiking suggestions. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay with them if I'm in the aspen area again.

We had a really great time at Allan's place. It's a beautiful spot and a great house. Close enough to Carbondale that we could get to and from the festival easily but far enough out that we felt like we were in the country. The hosts made us feel super comfortable before the they headed out for a camping trip. Mega recommended.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! So cheerful and cozy and very clean. The yard had a trickling stream that I fell asleep listening to in her hammock. The hostess was very kind and answered all my questions and we ended up chatting for a half hour. All in all the perfect mountaintop getaway.

Candace's tucked away mountain retreat is everything you've ever wanted and more. Located at the base of Mt. Sopris, this apartment in a beautiful wood home accommodates up to 4 comfortably. The bedrooms are cozy (note that the windows overlook onto the property. You will see COWS!), the kitchen has a great layout and everything you need to cook, and the bathroom is more than adequate. I wish I had more time to explore the surroundings, but what I saw was breathtaking.

The lock off downstairs apartment was perfect for what we needed. It was great to be able to bring our puppies with us and she was a great host. The backyard is so pretty and the views are wonderful. She does have several sections of her house for rent so there were a good amount of people on the compound, but there was never any issues with noise besides the normal walking around above us. We would recommend this location for someone looking to get away from it all and relax. Thank you!

Candace was a great host, and her home in the Basalt back country is beautiful. It's a secluded, lovely spot to take in the mountains.

We loved Candace. She made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The house was very clean and comfortable. The washer and dryer was helpful. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps took us right to her doorstep. We will definitely stay here again if were near Aspen.

THE GOOD STUFF: (could go on even more!) MAGICAL slice of mountain heaven! Instantly taken aback by the glittering aspens waving in the breeze, the expansive yard with a trickling brook and pond all with bench swing overlooking the pond. Nestled between sylvan shade, the hammock beckoned and was my prime perch. Another love seat faces the pond and was also a great spot for sipping coffee in the golden mountain morning light. I have spent time in several mountain areas with locals in Colorado and this place is especially enchanting. Inside, the attention to color, creativity and nooks for reading, sitting, and chatting were charming. LARGE window let in an abundance of natural light on all sides and made this space glow. We used the grill both nights we were there, Candace was very helpful in letting us have access to this on her upstairs balcony. My husband and our friends felt at home instantly. We were greeted by both of her friendly dogs right away. The photos and listing were extremely accurate. Great map and directions made finding the place very easy. Candace was extremely welcoming as were her renters on the property. Candace also showed us her glamping site that she finished literally hours after we arrived. SO COOL! Rick offered us some great insight to the hiking access and let us borrow his map of the area, which we were super appreciative! This was perfect for hiking Mt. Sopris the next day and taking in Lake Dinkle on paddle board rentals from Basalt. The hike is accessible from her back yard or driving up to the trail head. We chose to drive so we could check out the lake prior to paddle boarding in the afternoon. The hike on Mt. Sopris is rated as green-very beautiful and shady in most spots in the morning. Great hike for beginners, families. Lake Dinkle is a local's lake, so we felt spoiled getting to enjoy it for the afternoon. About 12-15 people spread about fishing, kayaking, picnicking on the small mountain lake, but plenty of lake to explore and paddle around. TO IMPROVE: Screens on the crank windows in the bedrooms. However, there were an unusual amount of flies outside-very atypical for Colorado. We had bug bracelets and OFF! lanterns we lit by the front door outside built in bench-worked great! Garbage disposal and microwave would be good, but not huge priority. The kitchen needed either some nonstick pans or cooking spray-be sure to bring cooking spray if you are an egg person :) Also, some kitchen towels and pot holders would be great. MINOR details that I think any sane person can overlook given how fantastic the rental and Candace are. We would have loved to chat more with Candace on our last night-we were wiped from a full day in altitude, sun, and water.

Deb gave us a nice clean room to stay in with a comfortable bed. She was accommodating to our very late arrival. Since I didn't get in until 2 am there wasn't much interaction but I did pop out to say goodbye in the morning and her and her husband were both very friendly.

Deb was fantastic! She was so welcoming and made our stay so easy. Her home was cozy and clean - a relaxing retreat for sure! The location is beautiful and so close to so many activities. We would have loved to stay longer!

The location is perfect (gorgeous views), and the room and bathroom are very nice and comfortable. But the highlights are the hosts - Deb and Todd are down to earth, warm, gracious people, and isn't that the perk of airbnb - a brief but profound connection with wonderful people? Deb was incredibly responsive and helpful in helping me find the Airbnb, which was cozy and wonderful. They sectioned off the part of the house with the bedroom and bathroom, which makes it feel very private.

Both Deb and Todd are a gem of a person. Deb welcomed us very warmly and helped us in all possible ways to reach the property. The property is at a really really beautiful location and the room is amazing.(Cozy and Comfortable) Just perfect place away from the crowds of city and in the center of nature. Deb and Todd are wonderful hosts. We had a great time in Carbondale. Room and bathroom is excellent, nicely furnished, great shower. Deb is really taking care of you, just as she does for her husband and al the rescued animals in and around the house. The house has plenty of room, a marvelous view on the valley, and the kitchen is very nice. They let you free to use their kitchen and garden and so on. They are so sweet! Carbondale is a nice historic village and we made several nice trips during the three days we stayed there. We went to Marble, rented an ATV and drove to the Crystal River Mill, which gave us the most beautiful pictures of our holiday. We had nice dinners in historic Redstone, first in the Inn and on another day in the Crystal River Cafe. We went to Aspen and the Maroon Bell Lake area where we hiked. And on the third day we took the West Elk loop to Crested Butte, also a historic village, and hiked the Three Lakes trail starting at the Lost Lake horse campsite. Really beautiful. And there is a lot more to do in this area of Colorado. so we'll be back!

Deb and her husband Todd were super friendly and helpful hosts (as well as their 3 little dogs, Wego, Molly and Diva)! They made us feel like we were staying with family while we were at their house. Deb also has 4 sweet horses on her property that she let us give treats to, which was so nice! The room was clean and cozy, with its own entrance from the backyard and an individual thermostat. The town is small and lovely, and makes a great getaway from the city. It's also conveniently close to Glenwood Springs. We will definitely stay with Deb and Todd again the next time we are in Carbondale! Thanks for a great weekend! :)

This IS the place! Breathtaking, scenic views of Capitol Mountain paired with Deb and Todd's warmth, hospitality and beautiful home. My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying with Deb and Todd on our way to Snowmass, CO for a Ragnar Race. From the moment we arrived we felt like a favored, distant relative. Deb recommended a number of excellent Carbondale destinations customized to our liking including hikes, events, and local restaurants with fresh, flavorful meals featuring locally-sourced ingredients. A warm, comfy bed inside and millions of stars outside--truly, we felt blessed for the experience, and can't wait to schedule a return trip!

What a wonderful home away from home! The scenery is straight out of some romance novel. The snow literally blanketed the mountains with the hush of the winter's peace. The windows will make daydreamers out of even the most focused of souls. The beds make you wish the night was longer and no matter how long you stay, this place leaves you wishing that you had more time to explore. Get out of the cities and head to the majestic mountains for the first glimpse of what heaven on earth would be.

This is an amazing house and very clean and fun

Our host was wonderful. We were in town for a couple of days for our wedding with both of our families. Candace left sticky notes on each door suggesting how best to split up the 6 rooms we had reserved between all of us. It was really helpful and thoughtful of her. Candace's home is beautiful and her dogs are so sweet. Everything was just as described and we didn't have any issues.

Candace was from the beginning a very dedicated hostess. With informative travel documents their great ranch is fairly easy to find. The location is a dream - in the midst of nature, yet only 15 minutes drive from the highway (basalt). The house is very tastefully decorated and offering all the amenities. Should it be lacking something I'm sure that Candace has a solution. A whole blood Gastgeberin- I highly recommend this hotel highly enough ...

I stayed at Candaces place in Basalt Co by Aspen in Sept 2015 - Two things were made the stay very positive - One she is centrally located in north central Colorado - From her place one can get to the Aspen area and good hiking and dining options - and one can go south for hiking into the Elk Mountains - There is good shopping and eating close to her place in the towns of Basalt and Carbondale. Secondly she does have a nice large house with a large open living area upstairs which is very nice for sitting and viewing the mountains which are unusually close right outside her window. I would visit Candace again and recommend staying with her if you plan to visit north central Colorado and the Aspen area . Thank you Candace.

We came as a group of 8 people to experience skiing in Colorado. The house is more beautiful then the pictures show it and very welcoming. We all fit in perfectly with a lot of space and felt right at home. Candace is a very sweet and respectful host. She was there for all our needs and was quick to respond to anything we needed. Overall an amazing experience

This was my very first experience with AirBNB. Here are my thoughts Pros: Candice was very nice and easy to work with. The home was nice and had an amazing view. The inside of her home was amazing, plenty of space with a good atmosphere. Great for big groups since there are many bedrooms available. Cons: She does rent out the bottom floor and there are no locks to separate you from the other guest who book the "apartment" area. Also, the master bedroom fireplace turns on by itself. I didn't know that so I was creeped out when I saw it turn on at 2:30am.

Deb And Tood are the Best! We came to Aspen to shoot the x games, the closest we could get a place was Carbondale, busy weekend!! it was the best thing that happen to us! Easy access for everything (car&bus) beautiful scenery! We had our own entrance, House is amazing! We had to use their house to host the show! It was hard to pass on! We felt like we were family, I definitely be back with my girl and kids! Working never felt better!!

Deb's Prince Creek Master suite was perfect for two nights while we were visiting family in Carbondale. It's very close to town and extremely comfortable. Big bathroom, big closet, king-sized bed. Deb gave good directions and was very responsive. We'd stay there again.

Our stay was great! Deb and her husband were very accommodating. The room was clean, nice and private (on the opposite side of the house from where the hosts' room is located). We could come and go as we pleased from a separate entrance. The hosts were very nice to talk to and they gave us great restaurant suggestions as well as ideas of places to hike. There are plenty of places to hike just up the road from their house and the drive into Carbondale is very short. They were very accommodating to our two dogs and one-year-old that accompanied us on this trip.
