The apartment was really clean, the bed and pillows really comfortable. The area is quiet and you could walk late around and still feel safe. You do have bus stations and train stations near you which was very convenient for us, since we went to Manhattan almost everyday. Totally recommend this place and the host, Vanesa and her mother Dorina were wonderful and really quick repliers.

One of the best AirBNB experiences I've ever had. Carlos was so accommodating; We had all sorts of weird requests and they were all met with such genuine kindness and eagerness to help. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. Fairly close to a few subway stations. We loved the location. It definitely shows that Carlos and Yvette are passionate about hospitality and they will do everything to make sure your stay with them is perfect. Don't hesitate to book!

What a great and fantastic hosts, Carlos and his wife was really really really kind to us they make us very welcome to their home. The room we stayed in was the best of all the airbnb we stayed so far . Carlo's Airbnb is within walking distance of subway access making your travel to other boroughs very easy. Nearby are many restaurants (a few of which I had the pleasure to try) and an amazing Asian bakery. Inside Carlo's place itself your stay will be on the third floor of his home (not handicap friendly), but Carlos is great at assisting you with your luggage up to your room. If it is your first time he will give you the "grand tour", and if a repeat visit he will review anything you may have forgotten such as his keys and locks in and out of his house. Centralized to all 3 rooms is a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster (make sure you hit the cancel button not to break it!), and small dining table. Carlos provides coffee and tea with sugar and some other things as well. The bathroom is just next to the kitchen. Everything is kept very clean and if you need anything Carlos is just a call away. This is the second time I have stayed here, just a different room. Maybe next time I'll try out the third room!

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every single moment. So grateful we met such wonderful hosts, Carlos and Yvette. They were incredibly nice, I loved the room, and everything was super clean. I didn't expect the amenities, but they kindly prepared shampoo and conditioner, towels, first-aid kit, you name it. The kitchen also had everything I need.

Carlos’s house was better than expected. Our flight was delayed and due that we arrive later but that wasn’t a problem for Carlos’s wife, she was waiting us to give us a warm welcome. We spent 6 night sleeping like angels (the king size bed was very comfortable) Carlos and his wife gave us lot of amenities and was worried for any detail. The room is like as you see in pictures, has a lot of space to put all your luggage and things without problems. They offer a kitchen with lot of amenities to use. The location is also excellent, located between 2/3 metro station and only 30 min to Manhattan. The neighborhood is in majority latin with many options to eat or buy whatever and you feel safer. For sure I’ll recommend Carlos’s house and we’ll repeat if we come to NY again.

Cute little place and very convenient. We were able to leave the rental car on the street the whole time we were there and took public transportation everywhere.

Really nice place to stay, everything was spotless clean. Really nice personal touches as snack and coffee, washing machine and dryer for free ( really helpful if you don’t want to carry to much clothes with you). Place is on nice street we felt really safe there. Lot’s of shops around and easy to get around.

Maggie’s place was a great value for what it was. It is very small and private because it is an entire room but also it is part of an apartment style building so you can hear when people enter and also footsteps upstairs at times, private space but keep that in mind. The entire space is very small so keep that in mind also. About a 15 minute walk to the closest train station and then an hour subway ride usually into the city if you’re planning to do tourist attractions.

Great room and location. Danielle is very responsive and clear with her communication and the check in and check out process is very easy. The room was very clean and welcoming with little to no noise. Neighborhood was better than I expected and easy to catch a cab if you’re going to/from LaGuardia airport.

Fernando is a fantastically personable and professional. The space is as pictured and located very close to major roads and loaded with many of the features you would find in your own home. Definitely worth staying here.

Fernando is a wonderfully communicative host who has put a lot of thoughts into what his guests might appreciate and/or need while they are away from home (e.g. soda, water, snacks, full sized shampoo and conditioner, shaving cream, rubber bands, razor, Kleenex, etc.) He is also friendly and very responsive to some minor issues that came up during my stay. The apartment is spacious, clean and well-kept, and wonderfully warm after 20 degree weather. There are places at both ends of the apartment that are obviously used for private storage and not meant for guests so you'll see some clutter. Lastly, the stairs leading down to the place are narrow and the floor is uneven in some spots.

Very nice basement apartment with all the amenities including a Keurig and provided snacks and refreshments. Comfortable beds and cozy living area with a large TV and plenty of seating. Very easy unit access and fast check in process with the host - highly recommended!

Fernando was a great host! Highly recommend his place. It’s a six minute walk to the nearest subway station. Fernando answered all of our tourist questions and was very helpful. He keeps water and soda in the fridge and little snacks on the table along with two coffee machines, plates, cups, and utensils. Bathroom was also well stocked with bath and hygiene products. The place was very clean and organized. Fernando let us check in early and allowed us to leave our bags after check out because we had a late flight back home. Overall, our experience was very positive and I highly recommend him and his place.

I had never been to New York before this trip and really did not know what the expect. But, this house definitely made me feel like home in the big Apple. The apartments has a real fresh, modern style that was set up really nice. The subway station was also around the corner that will take you up and down the heart of manhattan. The area also has plenty of delicious inexpensive food places. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends

My husband and I stayed at Carlos’ place for 7 nights in the end of December 2019. The room, bathroom, and kitchen are sparkly clean. The kitchen is also fully equipped, so we were cooking breakfasts and dinners every day. Carlos also kindly provides coffee, tea, spices, shampoos, toothbrushes, and all other useful little things so you don't have to care about that. The location is also great - there are several subway stations nearby and it takes around 25 minutes to get to the midtown Manhattan. There is also a decent supermarket nearby. Carlos is a very hospitable host and we have enjoyed our stay a lot. This accommodation provides a very good value for money. I would definitely recommend it. We had an excellent stay in Carlos's home. The place was spotless and Carlos and Yvette were very welcoming and helpful. We felt like at home. The place is perfect for location and stay for NYC. The subway is very very close within a few seconds walk. The apartment is sparkling clean, full of amenities that you can freely use, a great shower and even aircon in the rooms. The check in and out process is also very easy. Great place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miras apartment! It was in a great location very close to the subway station with a super cute coffee and book shop right down the street and across from an organic market where we bought food to make breakfast in her cute little kitchen. All of the guests were super nice and respectful. We would love to come stay again on our next NYC trip!

This place is amazing, really centric in the Brooklyn area. Its a comfortable, accessible and beautiful place. I arrive earlier than expected and they were able to let leave my things safe inside the apartment.

Check-In was super convenient. Location is close to the subway, which makes it easy to go to Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan and other sights. Definitely recommended!

Very pleasant, tidy, and quiet place. Stayed here for one night while travelling in America over the holidays.

Its a very nice room on an apartment with more rooms all listed on airbnb. We had a minor issue on arrival as room was not ready (because a previos guest had made a mess, not their fault) but they really worked it out great to try and solve it and at the end we wished it had been free more nights because the location was super nice, easy to get on the subway and very quick answers from the co host. I definetly recomend it and will be back when im in NY!

It was nice staying at Sonia's. The room is clean and you have shops and transport nearby which gives you easy access to the center.

I had a lovely stay at Sonias place. She made me feel welcome, the place was as described and everything was super clean. Quiet flatmates and a good neighborhood.

Sonia's place is spotlessly clean! The kitchen is well sized with all the amenities needed. The room itself is spacious for a single room with a very comfortable bed. The TV in the room has loads of channels as well as access to your Netflix. Sonia's place is well located in Queens. It's no longer than a 15 minute walk from Fresh Pond Street subway station. From there you can catch the M train which can get you to midtown Manhattan in just under 50 minutes. I only had two brief encounters with Sonia (Check-in and check-out) due to my constant sightseeing throughout the week. She seems to be a very warm helpful person. And gave me advice on the best way to get to JFK from her place. I have read many reviews which mention how nice and helpful she is. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect place to stay for solo travelers

It was my first time in NYC area and I found this great room offered in Queens. Carlos and his wife Yvette are very friendly and can give you lots of recommendations. Even before I arrived Carlos sent me instructions of how to get to this place best from the airport which was very detailled and well-thought (so that even without the need to online navigation one can find the place). Besides the VERY WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY HOSTS, there are so many little things that contribute to making this place at Carlos' so special and wonderful: there is a kitchen you can use, with utensils and plates, fridge, oven, microwave, coffee machine, tea,.. . In the room there were towels (large and small), shampoo, toothbrush+paste, first aid kit available, TV... Everything is decorated so well, there are paintings in the room, the bed was comfortable, a desk on which one can study on, and everything was very clean. Sometimes Yvette takes several times a day care that the whole place is clean and all little details are just about perfect (like napkins refilled in the kitchen). The house is located near the subway stations and easy to walk there and there are many asian shops and restaurants closeby. (for anyone interested: It takes about half an hour to get to Times Square.) There is a clean bathroom on each floor which one shares with the other guests on the floor (same as with the kitchen). In the bathroom every room has some space to put cosmetics inside. It was a great stay at Carlos' place and I can highly recommend it to anyone searching and I'd love to revisit this place whenever I'm back in the area ;)

Carlos sure knows what it means to be a great host. Both Carlos and his wife were fabulous and the room and other areas where the guests were able to use were extremely clean. Will stay again if I need to!

First Airbnb experience and it was fantastic. Great location (safe, quiet and near to trains/metro). Nice quiet room, with all you need. The place is absolutely clean and spotless. Carlos and his wife are lovely people, always helping when you need them. Summary: for the price you pay at Carlos place you definitely do never get any compareable room in a hostel or hotel here in New York (or even anywhere else). I stayed here for two weeks while working in Maspeth. This is my favorite airbnb I've stayed at yet. Carlos and Yvette were great hosts. Very accommodating and quick to respond. Getting to Carlos and Yvette's house was like getting to my own home. From the first moment they did everything possible to make me feel that way. Their concern for all the details, from recommending places to eat or make the purchase to provide an adapter for the plug or provide towels and hygiene products, demonstrates their commitment to the service they offer. The room was simply perfect, with the necessary privacy and all the amenities. In addition, I was fortunate to agree in the house with other charming Airbnb guests, a French couple and a father and son from Ecuador, all of them respectful and friendly. Therefore, I recommend 100% the house of Carlos and Yvette in Queens, with numerous subway options, and in just 20 minutes they take you to Manhattan. The neighborhood also offers thousands of alternatives to eat at affordable prices. Not forgetting that I felt safe at all times, and that one day I left home at 5 in the morning. Without a doubt, choosing Carlos and Yvette's house was a success. I will repeat when I return to NY. Thanks for everything.

The space was larger than I thought, so it was easy to stay and the location was great. The center of Manhattan was less than 20 minutes away by subway and the subway station was a 5-6 minute walk away. It's a great place to stay for a long time because there's a big supermarket nearby and no washing machine. Good value for money.

We had a pleasant stay in the apartment of Fernando. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, there is a good connection to the metro (to Manhattan) and you have everything nearby; supermarket, pizza, mcdo, ... The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures, there were no surprises. The room is separated from the seat by a door with glass, in the summer this can provide a lot of light in the early hours. We have had no problem with it. Fernando was very clear in his communication and was always available in case of questions. This apartment is recommended for travelers who do not want to stay in the bustle of Manhattan but want to stay in a quiet and pleasant place.

Everything was convenient. Giovanni gave us an extra set of keys because me and my friend wanted to do different things while in New York. There's a little store less than a block away to get some groceries and cook. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. I feel like I got the true Brooklyn experience. The bed was extremely comfortable and the TV had Netflix. I would definitely return for a longer stay! Giovanni was extremely helpful as well with suggestions on where to go and what to do!

Giovanni was a gracious host and great conversationalist. He shared some much appreciated tips on things to do in the area.

Giovanni’s place was very clean, very comfortable, and perfectly located only a few blocks from the subway (to get to midtown only took maybe forty minutes, sometimes less). Giovanni was a great host, very communicative and kind, and frankly the value for money was astonishing. Would absolutely go again. The Xmas decorations were a lovely touch.

Giovanni's place was perfect for our weekend trip to Brooklyn. It was spacious and located near the C-train which, as Giovanni says, will take you just about everywhere you want to go. It was really kind of Giovanni to let us check in early so that we could drop our bags and start exploring. We'd definitely return for another stay.

This place was comfortable for our family of 6, which included 4 teenagers. Giovanni thought of everything. The kitchen really has everything you need to make a meal while staying there. We cooked breakfast every morning before heading out. The Subway station is a quick and easy walk. It was so nice to come back and chill out (warm up) after spending all day in the city!

Very nice and clean apartment. The kitchen is well equipped and the private bathroom is very comfortable. The bed is very soft, which is not for everyone. We haven't seen Chelsea very often, but she was very friendly and always helpful. The location is as described, you need something to reach Midtown. However, the connection with the metro is easy.

This house was exactly as showed here. Everything was ready for us, and check in and communication was super easy. The bed and shower were great. It was great to feel part of the neighborhood. 10/12minuteswalk To the subway. We would stay here again if coming back to NY!

The home space was open, well accommodated to the season, and fit our needs. The location is away from the downtown/midtown areas, but transportation was easily accessible and nearby if needed. There are also stores nearby if you need something.

This was a great stay! Super easy to get to as subway station isn't far at all and proved to be a really good location for exploring NYC. I felt safe on my own and found the neighbourhood quiet - there's a really good cafe a short walk away. Really good value and most of the time, I had the space to myself. It’s good value for the location and time spent there. Just be sure to establish communication with other people staying there and be considerate. The people staying in the other room hogged the bathroom all night and also knocked over my toothbrush and the brush head was detached, something you physically have to do, doesn’t happen accidentally. So I don’t know what that was about, but I would say to avoid that, just store your stuff in the private room the whole time. It has a lock. Overall, nice stay. Close to the subways! Hosts are very nice and respond quickly.

Absolutely the best location. The building is extremely quiet. Expect some big city noise but it did not bother me in the least (I’m an incredibly light sleeper). The double curtains helped for a rest sleep and the beds are very comfortable. Communication was extremely quick. They even held our luggage after check-out so we could explore the city longer. 10/10 recommend and plan to stay again.

West Village is a special place in NYC and being able to stay in such amazing surroundings was great. When you come back after a day in NYC to a quiet place (yes, I was there on the weekend), it is very restful. Amazing places to eat and be entertained are everywhere. It has a small neighborhood feel.

Briehan’s place was very cute and had a fantastic location to many bars and dining spots. Loved this apartment, would like to stay here again.

Perfect accommodation for visiting New York! Next to the metro (line 2/5) perfect for visiting all of New York (45min to go to Colombia University). The host is very attentive to our stay and the accommodation very comfortable.

Awesome host! Jason is quick with replies and is very accommodating. The subway is super close which is nice but keep in mind you’ll be ~45 min out from the city. Other than that this is great place to lay your head.

Here's what you can expect; a great place, period. It was really clean when we went. It was more spacious than what Jason's pictures depict. Man, it was just an overall great experience. Just note; the Beverly Road Station is really only minutes away. However, if most of your trip revolves around places in Manhattan, expect a 30-40 minute trek back.

I had a 6 hour night layover in New York and didnt want to spend it trying to sleep in the airport. The place was clean and easy to get to. Gary gave easy to follow instructions and had foodstuffs as well as coffee and tea available. It was an enjoyable place to just crash and relax.

Solid Place

The price is very good no problem getting there from the airport there is a lots of shopping area and place to eat if wants to eat out very quiet place to sleep and parking for your car you will enjoy this place

Gary’s place was super easy to get too from the Airport and with a coded entry to the apartment it was a breeze. The bed was comfy and exactly what we needed after spending all day in airplanes from Morocco. Just like the description it was quiet and cozy. Thanks for letting us crash for the night!

We really enjoyed our stay with Marc and Carol. They both are delightful hosts and had so many suggestions for us first timers to NYC. We were given a guide ahead of time of so many things to do, places to see, and places to eat. Check in was super easy and a bit early, which didn’t seem to be a problem at all this particular day. Marc gave a short tutorial showing us how to get in the building and how to use the elevator. It was great not to have to navigate stairs with suitcases. The apartment was spacious and spotless and we had access to everything we needed. Having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already there for us to use was nice. Especially since you don’t have to pack it in your suitcase, which makes it a bit lighter for the airport. We didn’t use the kitchen much as we didn’t want to cook for ourselves, but it seemed to have everything you’d need if you did decide to cook. The internet was great and there were lots of choices for tv streaming services. After a long day of walking outside in the cold, it was nice to get back, curl up on the sofa with lots of pillows, have a nice fire in the fireplace, and watch a little tv. Only bad thing was that we didn’t have enough time to see and do all the things we wanted. Well, that means we’ll need to come back and we will have this fantastic place to stay!

This place is AMAZING - the pictures don’t do it justice (the tub is a jacuzzi!)!! Carol and Marc were consummate hosts, their hospitality generous without being intrusive. The location is so close to the subway, we were able to easily travel throughout the city with no trouble at all, and the area was and felt safe at all times. We can’t wait to return to the city and spend more time there!!! Thank you 😊

Ahhhhh :) what an amazing way to experience NYC. Firstly entering the apartment via an elevator set the mood immediately for the most new yorky stay ever! The apartment is amazing, all the beds all comfy, the shower lush, and the location brilliant. So much quieter than staying Central, which we loved. But not far away from anything! Close to subway and bus stops. And if you are tired (or have tired kids who don’t want to walk after you’ve been to the theatre) an Uber doesn’t break the bank to here either. Marc is just the sweetest gentleman and Carol is just lovely. Felt safe, felt welcome. Thank you guys :) I hope our paths cross again. Big loves xx

I had a wonderful time here. Everything was immaculate, I don't know how they keep the place so clean. The bedroom maximizes use of space without making you feel cramped. The bathroom was clean and accessible at all times of day/night. As a guest you're welcome to use the kitchen/dining area for coffee/tea in the morning. Also, if you buy food you are welcome to prepare/cook it in the kitchen if you wish. I didn't take that opportunity but, it's available. The hospitality is unparalleled; you are no more than a text or quick conversation away from having any questions answered about the city and what to do while you're there. Also, if you like dogs then you picked the perfect place. There are 3 dogs in the home that couldn't be happier to meet new people. They made a great stay even greater!

Sara was an exceptional host. Everything exceeded my expectations. Sara was very helpful providing tips to get around the city and it was a huge help to make mine and my boyfriends weekend get away more enjoyable. We had plenty of privacy and felt very comfortable during our stay.

This was an excellent place to stay at! A quick 5 minute walk to the train station to go into the city. Geri was very accommodating in helping us get checked in sooner than expected as we arrived early Friday morning. Mira's apartment is a nice and cozy place. Small but sufficient and very clean. Located near grocery stores, a 24/7 deli, and a few different restaurants/cafes this was a great stay! Catching the train and bus was super easy and even with the cold temperatures our trip to NY was amazing. There are other guests as well in the apartment so just keep in mind that you'll be sharing the space. However my girlfriend and I used the apartment mainly to rest up and shower. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Highly recommend staying here as it's in a great part of Brooklyn, is nice and clean, and is a great bang for your buck!

Fernando was a great host. Nothing negative to say. It was my first experience with Airbnb and it was amazing. Appartement is exactly as described. Clean, spacious, good location. Kitchen is perfect for cooking at home. All the things you need. 5 min walk to next subway station, groceries, fast food to Times Square, Central Park around 15-20 min Downtown takes a little bit longer ( around 30 min) but still great location! The bed was a little bit small but still comfy and good for two people. All in all perfect! Definitely worth the money!

Jonathan is very easy to deal with. Very accommodating and his place is awesome! Will surely stay again in his water cottage whenever we’re in NY.

The photos seemed almost too good to be true, but they are EXACTLY what you get when you arrive at Jonathan’s property. Everything about the cottage was perfect. The heat was turned up before I arrived (since outside it was quite cold!) and I had no issues staying warm. Both the loft bedroom and the downstairs one were just as pictured, and came equipped with the ear plugs others have mentioned. (I’m usually super sensitive to noise and actually didn’t have a problem with it when I was there, which was a nice surprise.) The bathtub, which I was very excited to try out, does take a bit of time to fill, but it was well worth the wait. I’m already daydreaming about moving somewhere with a bathroom like that! All of the design touches were well-appreciated, as were the labels on each light switch telling you which lights they activated. That was especially helpful when it came time to check out.

We loved Jonathan’s space as getaway from the city. It was easily accessible but also felt like a true vacation. The apartment was beautiful and had all of the necessary amenities. Looking forward to staying again.

The environment is really good, the house design and features are also very good, the landlord couple communicates well, and the location is a little bit biased, which is more suitable for driving by themselves.

This home was lovely and exactly as pictured. I'm from NY and we visit family about twice a year and my husband insists we stay here whenever we come back. Jonathan was great at communicating. House was immaculate and comfortable. We only noticed the airplanes one night and it wasn't anything to prevent sleep. There is no oven, so if you plan on baking anything be aware of that. The only small issue we had was adjusting the water temperature in the shower, but we figured out the right spot for the knobs. Thanks, Jonathan!!
