We liked it so much we re-booked for a second night.

I had contacted host in weeks leading up to stay. He kept me informed and made sure I knew the arrangements to get the key. Everything went smoothly. There was a tray of cereals and fresh bread, drinks etc. and also a new pack of butter in the fridge with milk and orange juice. The room was just as in picture. A very convenient location for a wedding event at Elmore Court. We didn't explore the area but the canal side looked lovely.

Dave was a great host, accommodating and a pleasure to chat to. His place had everything we might have needed including a very well stocked kitchen he was happy to let us use. I would definitely stay again if I came back to the area.

Dave's house is the perfect place to do an Airbnb stay. The attention to detail was superb. The tumble dryer was life saver. Dave is a very great host and I recommend him.

When we arrived, the place looked great. It was very welcoming and even some fresh milk in the fridge for us. We were there less than 24 hours but we had a good stay and everything in the house is well thought out and it is clear a lot of love goes into it!

It was a last minute booking, very quick to respond and invite us into their beautiful home. It felt like a little holiday in the house, great place to chill. Certainly will book again in the future.

This was my first Airbnb experience, so was not sure what to expect. I have to say that Jayne was very organised and accommodation, not to mention very friendly. The flat was in perfect order when we arrived and clearly Jayne takes pride in both her home and providing people with a really warm experience. Jayne met us at the prearranged time, to hand over the keys. Her house was very welcoming, she even left us some tea, coffe, biscuits and chocolate! The bed was comfy, the shower was excellent, and the whole house was very clean. It was a much better experience all-round than staying in a hotel and if I need to stay near Gloucester again I'd happily go back. Oh, and the wifi was handy :)

The description of the location is underestimated, it is a very serene setting, with beautiful views from the room and nice country walks around the canal. Tony is very hospitable, and will welcome you with a hot drink and some engaging conversation of his interesting past. The room is fantastic, a really comfortable bed, and brand new shower room. It has nice sheets, towels and shower gel. Great views from the room and I had a fanatic sleep probably due to how quiet it is outside. Tony lays on a good breakfast, from cereal, fruit to the house special omelette. It was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay again.

We spent a week at Tony's. The bedroom overlooking the canal is really sweet. It is clean, wifi great, breakfast is plentiful and filling with his signature omelette. Check in is easy. Lots to see and do in this area.

Tricia and Richard are amazingly friendly and really made us feel at home. It is really nice to share travel experiences with them because they travel a lot as well. They prepared a breakfast with fresh fruit and we were invited for dinner at a (low!) additional charge. Tricia is a great cook! Would definately go here again.

We had a lovely time with Tricia and Richard in Quedgeley. The room and private bathroom were immaculate and much nicer than most hotels I have stayed in! Breakfast was great and they were very flexible with timings. They were friendly and welcoming and gave good recommendations for thing to do/places to eat in the local area.

Tricia and Richard are very welcoming and excellent hosts. This was my first time using airbnb, I was working at the Cheltenham Festival and I couldn't have found a better place to stay at. The room and private bathroom were nicer and cleaner than most hotels I stayed in. My bedroom also had a kettle, tea and coffee as well as a telly. They let me use their printer to print out my hotel reservation receipt which was really kind of them. I am definitely returning in 2017!

Tricia and her partner are extremely lovely and welcoming. The room is lovely and spacious with a private bathroom and towels too! The house is at a great location, less than 5 min walk from Asda and Tesco. Parking is right in front of the house. The best part is basic breakfast i.e. cereal is included in the rent and additional breakfast such as omelette is available at a small cost. It's so convenient to have breakfast ready in the morning especially when you have a long day ahead of you. I highly recommend stay here.

We were made to feel extremely welcome, Tricia and Richard were incredibly friendly, exceptional hosts and genuinely couldn't do enough for us. The room and bathroom was fantastic; super clean, comfortable, relaxing, breakfast was fab. Tricia and Richard were excellent hosts, and made me feel at home straight away. The room itself is very nice, and I don't think I could have asked for more. One point to note: Make sure you read Tricia's instructions on how to get to the house. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps will take you to the wrong side of some railings, and the street layout is confusing if you're not used to it.

What a lovely, welcoming and homely place to stay. Julie and Peter were the most delightful hosts and their house really is a home away from home. The breakfast was great and is taken in the guests' sitting room with stunning views of the rolling countryside towards Gloucester Cathedral.

My husband and I had the most wonderful stay. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. The setting is so peaceful and utterly picturesque. Very comfortable, pretty room inside a stunning house. And a wonderful cooked breakfast to top it off!! We felt so well looked after and look forward to our next visit!

Oakle House is just beautiful - located in a wonderful and peaceful setting, easy to find and perfect for us - we were attending a wedding at Elmore Court. Julie was helpful in the booking process and we were absolutely delighted when we arrived to be offered tea and a delicious snack! We were left to get settled before heading out for the evening, but Julie made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room itself was lively - very clean and a comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom with shower. We were so impressed with the breakfast - I opted for some toast, cereal and fruit, and my partner had a cooked breakfast which he said was absolutely delicious. Julie and her husband went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay - my only disappointment was that we didn't stay for longer! Thank you for your hospitality!

Spot on. This was perfect for me, only a couple of minutes on foot to the train station. The communication through the whole process was excellent . Amanda and her husband were both lovely and made me feel welcome. The room was immaculate with a Nice big comfy bed. An added bonus was having my own personal shower. Amanda and her husband Paul are excellent hosts and made me feel very welcome. Their home is conveniently located for the train and bus stations and it is just a short walk to the city centre. In spite of the central location the area is quiet and the house has a beautiful garden at the back. I can definitely recommend it as a good place to stay.

Kathy was very friendly from the first and communication was excellent. We felt very welcome in Kathy's home and the loft room is lovely, bright and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the house is located next to a beautiful park, there are also shops and restaurants within walking distance so all very convenient. We stayed 3 nights and were very happy with our stay.

Very friendly hosts. Room is cozy and was very clean. There was a pitcher of water waiting for us on the bedside table as well as a basket with towels, shampoo, and even spare toothbrushes, which was a nice touch. Pinetum Cedar Barn is a great place in a wonderful location. We woke up to the sound of owls and we spotted deer just outside the barn. It is a perfect base for exploring the Forest of Dean and is only a few minutes from Gloucester. David was very welcoming and friendly, and gave us some great tips about where to eat and places to visit. We would highly recommend visiting.

The Pinetum Cedar Barn was a lovely quaint getaway and as lovely as the pictures looked. We had a great weekend relaxing and enjoying the areas around Gloucester, would certainly recommend to our friends and family! David and Carol were lovely hosts, very helpful and happy to help with local tips.

David was very prompt in making contact after the online booking. He was friendly and informative and provided everything needed so we had a smooth arrival. He also provided contact information in case we needed anything during our stay. Which we didn't as the space was so well cared for and tended that we didn't need anything during the trip. The Cedar Barn was simply lovely. Flowers on the table, a really nice atmosphere and very well cared for. We had a lovely stay, wandered the grounds and used it as a base to access the Forest of Dean easily. David popped in on our last day to check how the stay had been so we felt very well hosted. I would recommend the Pinetum Cedar Barn to anyone looking for a quiet space to rest, relax and enjoy the area from.

We had an amazing time at Cedar Barn. The location is just stunning, the barn is very clean and with pretty much everything you could need and David and his wife were so friendly and full of advice of what to do in the surrounding areas. I don't think this place can be beat on location... your own private forest! We took our pooch with us and she loved the woodland walks right from the front door. We visited some fab places nearby including Hay-on-Wye, Symonds Yat Rock and Goodrich Castle and there are lots of nice pubs nearby.

David was very welcoming and showed us around the place, which was very new and clean. There was a beautiful footpath near the property, which was a pleasure to walk around in. I would highly recommend this place and would visit again in the near future.

David welcomed us and showed us around the lodge making sure we knew how everything worked. His knowledge on the pubs and places to eat was brilliant, and even gave us advice on walks in the Cotswolds. All round a really enjoyable weekend.

We were warmly greeted on arrival by Rachael, the directions were accurate. We was shown our room and facilities and they we clean and comfortable. The location was great for us as we travelled around the area to see the local sights. Overall great value and lovely hosts.

Leading up to my arrival I was in contact several times with Rachel and DAVID which promised a warm and friendly greeting, and that is exactly how it was. David had moved hid car out of the drive to allow me safe and convenient parking, the outside light was left on to make finding the house much easier. From the start nothing was too much for my hosts (and Bella the dog) and I felt at home instantly. What an exceptional lucky choice this turned out to be for immediately I was wrapped up in the warmth and comfort of their family home and I was made to feel I was one of the family.

Rachael and David were super hosts . We arrived very late 1am and they had both waited up for us and Bella the dog which I thought was super!!! The fruit salad was amazing. Looking forward to staying again for Cheltenham races !!! Thanks you

The breakfast selection was amazing and abundant. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Every day our daughter would ask to go home to Miss Rachael. We hope to visit again and highly recommend their hospitality.

Val & Sandra truly made me feel at home in their home. The bedroom is spacious, spotless, quiet, fresh; the bed is sooo comfy with snuggly warm bed linen; the bathroom was sparkling clean with a fabulous shower (great water pressure and reliable temperature). I forgot a few items at home and Val kindly provided them for me. Subtle attention to detail with hotel-type shower gel, shampoo etc, and fresh bottles of water in the bedroom. I needed for nothing! We stayed with Val and Sandra for a couple of nights. They are both very welcoming and friendly, as is their gorgeous dog Bella! The room is lovely - very comfortable bed and nicely decorated. There were lots of nice touches - having bottled water in the room and some toiletries provided was very helpful and Val even made sure there was a fan in our room for the night as it was quite warm! The house is in a quiet location with easy parking and is handy both in being so close to the M5 and also for being close by to Gloucester Quays. If you stay we'd recommend paying the quays a visit!

Val and Sandra are very kind, friendly but also reserved people. Their home is really modern, comfortable, clean and tidy. You feel like to be in a hotel, but with the warm you can find in your home more. I loved the garden, the breakfast and any help Val gave me, included her looking after my child. This was a great stay for us. The room (& home!) was perfect with a provided tray of water. We had a great time with the hosts & enjoyed sharing our stories with them (and a mutual shared interest in astronomy!). Of the six places we stayed during our tour of southern England, they had by far the most convenient parking for our car. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding. You have got to check out Bella's football talent - very entertaining. They were also very helpful in suggesting sights to see along our journey.

Val and her partner are excellent hosts. The whole place is very clean and the bed comfortable. The room has a small tv with a bunch of streaming channels available. Speedy wifi and continental breakfast included. I would highly recommend it over a hotel and will be looking to stay there when I'm in Cheltenham.

The information pamphlets kept in the room were very helpful. We had no issues coming and going, as we pleased. This is a very old house under reconstruction with an interesting history which the hosts share in their information notebook. It is not fancy, but quiet, and Suzanne was very friendly and helpful. Make sure you write down the actual address so GPS can get you to the exact location.

Highly recommended! First time with airbnb, we honestly didn't expect much. Its our first visit to the area and didn't know our directions but Suzanne was very kind to pick us up. And she even provided us breakfast to make us felt welcome.

Beautiful lodge tucked away in the hills with stunning views over the valley. Ideal base for walking and exploring the area. Lodge was very clean, comfortable and suited family of 3 plus dog. Homemade ginger biscuits were a treat!

The house is situated in a quiet part of Gloucester within walking distance of the town and attactions. Its about a 10 mins walk to the cathedral, shops and places to wat and drink. A15 mins walk takes you too the quay, where you will find resturants, bars and cinema. You are also within drives of other attactions and you have the river walks to explore.

We stayed here for 3 nights for the gold cup! House was located perfectly to get to Cheltenham and also to explore Gloucester. We arrived late the first night and Louise was more than helpful even drawing us maps to get us to the race course on time!! Room was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend!

Great location, very close to the bus and train stations. We were in and out for a flying visit, but the room was perfect, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! The hosts were also very accommodating of our late check-in and early start - we felt very welcome and would highly recommend a stay here! (Also their cat was super friendly which is always a bonus!)

We really enjoyed staying here. We were given lots of privacy, and I knew that if I had any questions I could ask. We walked into Gloucester and got the bus to Cheltenham very easily. Lovely place and great location.

The Applestore is a little piece of heaven to stay in! Situated on a farm in a very quiet setting yet close to the main roads and local attractions. We were delighted to wake up to see the horses and chickens grazing in the surrounding orchards. The property itself is superb decorated throughout with a very well equipped kitchen, ample seating and dining spaces and a lovely little private garden with a magnolia tree. The upstairs is more spacious than the photos with the main bedroom having plenty of drawers and a lovely wardrobe. The second bedroom is just off of the main bedroom and also has access to the bathroom through a connecting door and although small was still a decent sized single bedroom. There is a trundle underneath the bed but the main bedroom would also have easily fitted a single blow up and/or a travel cot. The bathroom is lovely and had toiletries and a kit full of first aid essentials and other bits and pieces. The bedding and towels were gorgeous and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in other my own! Morag was a great host and left a little welcome hamper full of local produce and eggs from her farm. Although the Apple store is attached to her home it felt very private and when we did see Morag and her family they were very friendly and welcoming. We had a wonderful weekend at the Apple Store and really did switch off and leave the hustle and bustle of London totally behind - we will be back regularly. Until we buy our own farm anyway!!

We were very comfortable at the Apple Store. Immaculate, beautifully decorated and ideal for us with our two small children. It was the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful countryside. We'd happily book to stay here again.

We really enjoyed the Apple Store. It's a small easy place, full of charm, new interior, and set in a wonderful location. The cottage is located on a remote farm surrounded by fruit orchards, which offer easy access to the Severn River and a 2--3 mile walk to a local pub. The nearby farm animals provided consistent entertainment for the kids, and we all enjoyed being so far from a busy road. It works nicely for a couple or small family, if you can manage with a small second bedroom. It was well priced, well equipped and worked perfectly for a 2-day stopover en-route to Shropshire but we could have stayed longer as there is so much to do in the area. We would happily return. Morag is an easy-going, friendly and professional host. Arrangements were handled smoothly and topped off with a welcome basket full of local organic foods from the orchards and nearby farms.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by Terry and Gill and right away invited for coffee / tea. We found a marvelous clean room / kitchen / bathroom, even had our own entrance to the room from outside. Unfortunately we couldn't see them next morning before we left, but who knows, we may see each other again during another U.K. holiday. We would recommend the address certainly to friends as well.
