They are very kind. Stay there means to live a very and real local life experience. And Munroe Island is a wonderful place. Still untouched from the horde of travelers!
We spent 2 pleasant and telaxing days at this place. Our room in a cottage was clean, spacious with private bathroom. Family is amazing, welcoming and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. The indian food they prepare is very tasty.
Very nice place with lovely family and tasty home food.
I would certainly reinforce the comments of Wim. This was a lovely stay with lovely people. Going out in the canoe with Ranjith before dawn, moving quietly along the narrow channels as the light increased and arriving at the lake as a fiery red sun erupted over the trees was magic and peaceful. His knowledge of the history, the birds and all of the activities being carried out - mud digging, dyke building, fishing, fish farming etc was fascinating. It was not clear but they seem to include breakfast and will cook lunch and/or dinner on request. There isn't really any alternative for dinner around there, but that is no hardship as the food cooked by Meenu was very good and very reasonable. The noise from the temple can go on a bit but hey this is India. All in all highly recommended.
We really enjoyed staying at Renjith's homestay on Munroe island! The live right by the canal surrounded by greenery and kind neighbours. We enjoyed great dinners and especially the beautiful canal trip early in the morning. Warm recommendations!
Owner have heartwarming hospitality, humility, and good consideration. I enjoyed Munroe Island nature, lifestyle. The most amazing experience is Clam(shell) Curry ! In the morning, I saw owner take in the river, where positioned front of house. I was very surprised how near the river and their life. Most delicious meals in 9days of India trip. Creak cruise(extra charge) is beautiful and quiet. I saw Kingfisher near by house. That scene will continue to strike many tourists. The cottage is narrow but sufficient. NO AC but have powerful fun. I met big spider in the shower room. I was terribly, That's evidence of nature rich !
The Abode is a home-stay, nestled among the hills and tastefully furnished, with spacious bedrooms and kitchen facility, pampers you with hospitality and stunning views of the surounding hills. My place is close to many tourist attractions. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups
There are 2 independent floors available. One floor is available for Rs. 4500/ night and the other floor at Rs. 3000/ night. Both floors have 2 bedrooms.
Mr. Benny was very friendly and helpful. It was great stay for our family....
Nice and clean place. Very scenic overlooking the hills. Please communicate with the owner upfront on the facilities like kitchen and bookings.
