Christopher is an excellent host. The room is quite spacious, although the shared bathroom is relatively small. House rules and check-in/check-out instructions are very thorough, and we showed up with a good idea of what to expect. There is plenty of parking space in front of and adjacent to the house. The location is close to the freeway, and getting around is convenient if you have a car. Downsides were that this is an older house, and has poor thermal and sound insulation. Cleanliness of the room upon arrival was also less than ideal, as the floor, cabinets, and corners were quite dusty and the ceiling of the bathroom had spiderwebs. However, Christopher let us borrow his vacuum cleaner and it was okay once we did some light cleaning. This is not a good place if you expect hotel-level service and cleanliness, but is a good value otherwise.

Christopher was a great host and encouraged us to meet the other guests through a dinner he organised in the house. It was lovely and we have made soms new friends with whom we will definitely keep in touch. Thanks Chris, we had a great stay!

Wan Wen's mini studio is a lovely, quiet space. It was comfortable & clean. The microwave, hot water pot & mini fridge enabled me to eat-in. Within walking distance you can find coffee, restaurants & groceries. A great space in a great location. I will definitely stay there again.

Helen's place is very well positioned close to Highway 101, and it's a straight shot down University Ave to Palo Alto and Stanford. The small house in her back yard is self-contained and a parking space is provided on the drive. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, etc. The only downside is slightly patchy wifi coverage.

The place was absolutely great. It was clean, quite and with a nice kitchenette. The location is 10 minutes from Stanford. Helen was responsive, and overall it was a great experience! I’ll definitely stay here next time! P.S. The room has a nice bookshelf too! I read Solaris there (not sufficiently better than the movie)

A very convenient and charming place to stay in Palo Alto. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. Perfect location - easy access from the highway and pretty much down the street from Stanford. Helen was the perfect host and responded to my questions promptly. Check- in and check-out were very easy. I wish we’d stayed long enough to enjoy the charming patio. Next time!

This space was so cute and I loved how many different products there were in the bathroom! We did have some trouble figuring out how to turn the heat but we eventually figured it out--though I'm sure we would have gotten it earlier if we had remembered to ask! Helen was a great host! Helen’s place was cozy and lovely. Lots of windows and light, and a nice little patio and garden to look out on. It was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed, a perfect spot for my quick visit down to Mountain View.

This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Palo Alto. The bed is comfortable ; the kitchen, while tiny, has everything you could need; and the location is great- quiet yet convenient! It was nice to be able to walk to the coffee shop, the great local bagel shop and the grocery store just around the corner. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting PA.

A sweet tiny house located close to everything in Palo Alto and Mountain View.

I love this tiny home! It is super clean and stylish. The layout is amazing with tons of storage for such a small place. Everything is perfect. The location is excellent with easy access to the freeway yet in a quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood shopping center is within walking distance. You will find a market, Starbucks and a few other shops just around the corner. Everything was perfect. Christine was communicative and equipped the space with nice extras. I had a great time staying at Christopher's place. This is a big house that can often have lots of people living there. However, I did not find this to be an issue and I actually really enjoyed meeting everyone and spending time with them (lots of interesting people!). Chris was very friendly and provided lots of little "extras" such as basic laundry and cooking supplies. I also really appreciated how easy it was to communicate with Chris. I reccomend this place to anyone looking for short or longer-term accommodations, and I would stay here again in the future if needed.

Wan’s place is comfortable, very quiet and so easy! It’s very simple and it’s all I need. There’s walking to many restaurants and shops… Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Safeway, Whole Foods, Starbucks, Veggie grill... Also right on the main bus line, easy to get to Palo Alto and up and down the north south corridor. Easy to check in and out, and very pleasant person to deal with.

I was stuck without a room for two nights the last week of my contract and needed a crash pad ASAP. I found Kathy's place and messaged her through the app about the availability and she was very accommodating and welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfy. I even passed out after work without turning off the bedside lamp!

Nice home with a great living room, laundry room, a big kitchen, fridge space, you will share the house with other guests as there are 4 rooms, you will also find a market and restaurants 10 minutes walking.

The place is beautiful and located in safe and residential area. Zhen responds to a message or call promptly, and all the guests in the house were discent.

Place was good, got everything you need. It has 2 lamps inside the bedroom (not too much light though, good for a chill night). Bathroom has everything you need and they provide earplugs (never needed it though). Good location and plenty of street parking. I couldn't open the windows blinds though, not sure why. But I was never home in the morning anyway so wasn't a big deal.

Simple, clean, good location, reasonable price. Be careful of uneven pavers in driveway. I stepped into one when checking out with a heavy backpack on and have been laid up 4 days now. It’s easy to not see the holes because you don’t expect to have such an uneven surface. Otherwise nice place to stay.

Our stay at Carol’s place was wonderful! She was timely in her responses, very welcoming, and made us feel at home. I loved the eclectic style of the house, filled with many books, art pieces, and colors! The bed was comfortable and the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom had everything we needed. She also has a few dogs and cats that were friendly. I would stay here again!

She gave us very detail and useful suggestions for restaurants and travel routes , all are useful tips! You're sleeping in a living room. Two others occupy the apartment, sleeping in their own bedrooms. For the value, though, it can't be beat. It's a perfect place to stay for a single traveler looking for a place to sleep.

Eddie's place is a great price for palo alto. keep in mind you are sleeping in the living room, but he is very curtious to not bother you or be loud or be going in and out a lot. eddie is probably the best air bnb host I have ever had and gave me a lot of local tips on food, places to go, and helping me with a lot of transportation troubles. all in all if you are fine with sleeping in a living room, you will find his place to be a great deal with a great host.

Communication was great, the space was clean and bigger than I anticipated, the onsite carport was an added bonus as I had not originally planned on renting a vehicle. The extra amenities for his guests such as snacks and beverages was a nice touch. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Price seems consistent with neighborhood....hosts reliability and communication was excellent, neighbors and location were quiet, quiet back porch is a nice amenity and on-site easy parking for a small-mid size car works well. There is easy biking access to downtown and Stanford from Craig's accommodations. Craig's accommodation was comfortable, efficient and worked very well as a home base while touring in the Palo Alto/ Stanford area.

The apartment is lovely - on the second floor, so 2 flights of steps. Hardwood floors give it a very warm feeling and the lighting is very bright. Kitchen is a full kitchen, so cooking was very easy. I love the bathroom - the tiles were of a Art Nuevo pattern.

The place is well located, we were in town for business and found the space perfect for working with no distractions.

I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again! The living spaces are clean, the condo has a modern interior design. The Nest thermostat was very useful when the weather got colder. They included a water boiler and coffee maker, which was very thoughtful. Other guests were respectful, and each individual room having an electronic door lock was very useful. Check in instructions were very clear, and the hosts were very responsive to my questions. Thank you :)

This accommodation was located in a quiet pleasant neighborhood. Easy walking distance to a Starbucks to start off your morning. Clean and had a great shower! Small unit but very nice, private outdoor area which allows you to expand outside for more room. I sat outside with my computer on several occasions to work in pleasant February weather. Liling was an excellent hostess who was communicative and delivered many small, thoughtful touches. She left us chocolates for Valentines Day which were much appreciated!

This is a basic, but comfortable granny flat, around the back of the main house, very close to the centre of Palo Alto. It suited my needs exactly.

Fantastic location — quick walk to restaurants and shops (loved the cute cafe on the corner). Checkin was easy, and Jacob was super quick to respond to questions. I really appreciated the water cooler as well!

We had a wonderful time staying at Jacob's place. It is just as described, a comfortable and clean room in a great location with all the basics. Jacob made the whole experience extremely convenient and easy-- from proactively sending us check-in information to honestly the easiest check-out procedure I have seen from an airbnb. We would definitely stay here again. This is in the description, but just a brief reminder for other potential guests there is no microwave/cooking so plan to eat at the multitude of nearby restaurants in walking distance. The shower is wonderful and gets very hot, the bed is on the firm side and very comfortable.

The stay was amazing! Chris is a wonderful and kind host. He was always available when I had a question and he really cares about the well-being of his guests. He cleans the common areas very frequently, so the place is clean and tidy. I am not the person who usually enjoys sharing an apartment, but in this place, so many interesting and inspiring people gather. So what I believed to be a disadvantage at first turned out to be what makes the place truly awesome and unique. Chris cooked for us once a month (something that I’ve never experienced in an AirBnB before) and these house dinners were always great fun! The neighborhood is not as good as in Palo Alto, but I personally did not feel unsafe. I will miss this place a lot and would definitely come back!

Great stay, great location. The home is close to everything Mountain View has to offer. The space is large and comfortable, the bed was nice. I was in town for a business trip and the place was a good value for this location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Nina’s. We found the space comfortable with added touches ( some stocked supplies like teas, etc) that made us feel at home. The suite was a short walk to Castro Street for morning coffee and breakfast. In the other direction, it’s a short jog to get to the beautiful Steven Creek Trail. Check in was easy. Nina was quick to respond to questions. Looking forward to staying at Nina’s in future trips to Mountain View!

Stayed here for two days. Communication was excellent. It was a room in a house with two airbnb bedrooms. It had its own bathroom and was sparkling clean. Entrance was easy and there is a kitchen and living room that can be used by guests. Will stay here again, if I can, if I go back to Palo Alto.

Highly recommend Patrick and Cathy’s place for a place to get a great night’s rest. It was very clean, the shower was amazing and they even left some snacks. Will definitely be staying there again when I need a place to rest my head nearby my office.

I stayed at Patrick and Cathy’s place for about 4 weeks and it truly felt like home away from home. Everything was precisely as described including all the extra finishes. Patrick was also very responsive. This home is conveniently located near the interstate which makes for an easy commute. The bathroom in the master suite will make it so hard to leave! Overall, good experience and I would stay again.

Good location. Accessible to Super Markets, SAFEWAY, Walgreens and CVS. Walkable to CalTRain station, California Avenue, by 15 minutes.

Will and his wife Alex were lovely to stay with. The space was bright and airy and also cozy! Parking was plentiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable!

Will and Alexia have a beautiful home in a great residential area of Palo Alto. The guest room is perfectly situated and was a quiet place to return to after a busy day. The house itself is spacious and Alexia shared their great assortment of coffee and tea. Will and Alexia's dog and cat were very sweet and didn't pose any problems at all. Overall, a great place to stay for a few nights!

This is without a doubt my best experience on Airbnb - and I’ve had a lot of fantastic ones. Everything was on point as one could expect, and at the same time you felt like you were at home - not a one-room hotel as in some other places. Will and Alex were the best hosts one could wish for, the room was fantastic and they had really made an effort to make my stay enjoyable. I won’t just come back: I won’t stay anywhere else, the next time I’m in Palo Alto.

Amazing hosts, exceeded all my expectations. Not only was the room in great condition, but the hospitality was phenomenal. Possibly one of the best stays I've had in a long time.

Will and Alex are very good. This folklore is probably the warmest place I live in the United States. I sleep very well every night.
