Bonnie’s little boat house is so cute and cozy. Although we didn’t meet with Bonnie at check in, Neal was super kind and helpful. He brought us so water since there is no running water on the boat house. This was helpful do we could cook and clean. This lil getaway is perfect for 2 people and super romantic! Thanks again Bonnie!

Bonnie was a great passionate host! She was very welcoming and accommodating. I recommend The River Den to anyone who wants to spend some time in nature, off the grid. The view is spectacular and the location is very calm and relaxing. We will surely be back in the Summer!

As expected this is a house boat in the winter! So as long as you stay on top of stocking the fire and expect to be a wee bit chilly in the morning, this is an adorable retreat! Close to Wakefield, Chelsea, gorgeous views and comfortable bed! Would absolutely recommend Bonnie’s river den.

Bonnie's place was excellent. The little boat had everything we needed, extra blankets, Cooler, propane stove, coffee maker. They were able to accomdate us for an early check in. It was only ten minutes to the nordik spa, minutes away from the little town of Wakefield.

Amazing place to relax and have fun. We went during the winter but we saw last summer what this cabin can be during that season. We rented both Bonnie’s cabins so far and it was great. Very Clean, they explain everything. Parking close, calm, beautiful.

This is a great spot! We had a bachelorette party here with 14 ladies over a weekend and had a blast. There is plenty of room to sleep, large communal areas, an awesome massage chair for your use, and a hottub to relax in outside. There was parking for 6 cars (two in the garage) which was convenient. We had no issues with the neighbours, even though we were in the hottub until the late hours (chatting quietly). The host responded quickly to any requests, and check-in and check-out was easy. We would have appreciated more towels in the bathrooms, and maybe a pre-clean of the hottub, but otherwise we give this place two thumbs up!

Loved it! My boyfriend and I decided to spend the weekend there to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The place is really cute and you can access it via a little walk in the woods! Carolyn wasn’t there when we arrived but she made made sure that we would have everything we needed. She was easy to reach and answered all our questions. She even lent us her sled to move our heavier stuff around. Great hosts, great little cabin, great spot..!

We had such a great time at this little cabin, wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is very well stocked and has everything you need. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

This place was unreal. The location is within 10 - 15 minutes of downtown Ottawa but somehow you feel like you're in the middle of the woods right off the river. The view from the cabin itself was great. No matter what corner you looked out, there was nothing but trees with guided pathways from your parking spot or to the water. There was a firepit and barbecue outside within 10 feet of the wood supply and a few Muskoka chairs to chill out. The electricity is solar, and we had no issues charging multiple phones at once and had the exterior lights on for about 4-5 hours (we left them on by mistake). Only then did they start to flicker because of the lack of power. Inside the cabin there's a few board games, pots, pans, etc. If you're not an environmental junky then I might recommend bringing paper plates which you could use as fire kindling. We ended up boiling water which took about 5-10 minutes per use (which we didn't mind doing). She leaves you with a good supply of butane to run the portable stove, but no propane for the BBQ outside. All in all, this is an unreal place to chill for a weekend. You can easily sit back and relax with your favorite people, or even work using your phone's internet (LTE ran flawlessly). Carolyn was great. I noticed there was only 1 set of snowshoes, and without asking she brought a second. You're crazy if you don't like this place.

As I sit down after several days of reflections and recollections, I look upon this journey with great fondness for this lovely little cabin in the woods. As the snow was falling from the sky and we were warm in the cabin, we were able to marvel in amazement at the beauty of nature. But actually, this place is great and there are many special touches around the winterized cabin; snow shoes, plenty of firewood, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very comfortable bed.

This is a little piece of off-the-grid heaven. Nestled in a mature forest with a beautiful winding path through the woods down to a private little gem of a cabin.

We had the Leap Year celebration that we were dreaming of at Marc André's cozy cabin. As others have commented, it is even better than the pictures. I wish that we could have stayed longer! If you are visiting or working in the Ottawa area and want to unplug for a while, this place is pure genius.

Beautiful inside and out. The perfect way to enjoy a below freezing day: by the fire, in a mostly glass house, with no tv, Bose sound, soaking up the flora and fauna while lingering over brunch with the ones you love. Comfort. h y g g e

I just want to take this opportunity to share my experience at your cabin. My husband surprised me by booking your cabin for a St. Valentin getaway. I wasn't expecting this at all. WOW! What a great place you have! I was speechless! Your cabin is absolutely gorgeous, clean, inviting and for me very romantic. Your cabin shouted peace, tranquility & serenity. Waking up & having a coffee and watching the blue jays flying around. No Internet or television was a great getaway to unplugged and recharged with my husband. It was really peaceful! We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit by talking and laughing together. Not to mention the inside fireplace that made your place warm and cozy. You have thought of every little detail. Had such a lovely time visiting Wakefield, Quebec. The wood burning fireplace in the house made it so warm and cozy! Wonderful amenities, such as the BBQ which we used every night. The house was extremely clean and we received prompt responses from the host. I would highly recommend visiting, and while you’re there you must visit the Nordik Spa!

Really loved our stay. The cottage was sparking clean, well organized and many thoughtful touches. Lots of really great hikes near by and we were lucky enough to get fresh snowfall and enjoy the outdoors. Really appreciate the views, the wood burning fireplace and the easy to use kitchen. We travel a lot and this was by far the top rated place we have been to. Would love to stay again!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Made pour over coffee and a fire in the wood stove every morning. Enjoyed blue jays, turkey, deer and a fresh coat of snow all from the coziness of the cabin view. Had plenty of time to relax and also enjoyed snowboarding and ice skating all within a short drive of the Wakefield area. Highly recommend 🙌🏼

Absolutely loved Jozef's chalet. It's a quiet area, but right down the street from the Eidelweiss Ski area. Old-School-Canadiana ski chalet with a modern updated kitchen. Wish I stayed longer! Absolutely recommend.

We loved Jozef’s space! The chalet is decorated beautifully; the wood burning fireplace was one of our favourite features. The chalet is located in a beautiful area, very close to Edelweiss ski hill and Gatineau Park for winter activities.

This was our third stay at Jozef’s beautiful cabin. We had our kids (3 and 2) in tow and they loved the space and the twin beds in the lower level. We appreciated the amenities and thoughtful touches, such as the kids dishes and cutlery in the kitchen. The location is amazing - just a short walk down the road to get to lovely Edelweiss Ski Resort. We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely return!

Cozy Bear cabin is fantastic! It has become our yearly tradition to escape to the cabin every year for our anniversary. It has become our sanctuary away from home. We love our time spent there. Kim and Scott are great hosts.

A cozy and secluded cabin next to Lac Gauvreau, perfect for a romantic getaway. We stayed four nights and went cross-country skiing during the day in Gatineau Park. We particularly loved the hot tub and fireplace. Kim and Scott were model hosts, even coming over personally to help us out with a couple requests, and generously greeting us with a bottle of sparkling wine. The kitchen is fully equipped and the king size bed is very comfortable. As it is a cabin, be aware that there is no wifi, and the water from the lake is for showers, dishes, etc only - however, drinking water is provided. It is not a large cabin so I would not recommend more than two people, especially if you have equipment and clothes for outdoor activities. Overall we loved the experience and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a spot that is rustic yet very comfortable and accessible, located next door to beautiful Gatineau Park.

Kim and Scott's cabin is exactly as listed. It's super cosy and was the perfect amount of space for my fiancee and I along with our dog Winston. We spent one of our days at Nordik Spa which is just a 25 minute drive from the cabin. Walking along the icy, snow covered lake in the early mornings was the perfect way to start our days too. Definitely recommend this lovely little cabin for a weekend getaway!

This cabin is the perfect escape! Hidden in the trees, a perfect view of the lake (sunset side). Hot tub is warm and clean, cabin is rustic and cozy. It is perfect and will become a regular getaway for me!

The perfect place for a romantic getaway. The cabin is situated at the end of a street and is totally private. The interior is great and we felt directly at home. We also appreciated the big terrace with the hot tub and the direct access to the lake. We spent great Christmas days at the Lake Gauverau!

I loved to stay at Julie's place, the apartment is so cozy and it has and excellent location, nearby many places in Gatineau and very close to Ottawa! The neighbourhood is so nice. The apartment was very clean when we received it and full equipped, it is like it is shown in the pictures, so beautiful! Julie and his husband were so kind, always available when we had a request or a question! I really loved to stay in this apartment for a month, I totally recommend it!! The hosts were great and very flexible. I arrived late in the evening but Julie was there to give me a tour around the apartment, she helped me when the airline company lost my luggage, and when i forgot some of my stuff there, she had no problem telling me that she will send me what i forgot. The apartment was exactly as described and very well connected to the Gatineau side but also to Ottawa. Definitely recommended. Thank you to the hosts!

Manon was an excellent communicator the entire time. Check in was easy and apartment was sparkling clean! We were just looking for a place to crash, so we felt the overall value was great. As listed in the ad, quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. This was not an issue and the house was very quiet for sleeping. What was not accurately described was the walls between the apartment and house are very thin. I heard someone putting a cup in the microwave and all normal conversations travel through the walls. Overall, still a great value and place to stay in Ottawa and Manon is accommodating.

I cannot say enough good things about Manon! She is a wonderful host and a wonderful person! I can guarantee her space is exactly as advertised and she will go out of her way to make you feel welcome. As a new transfer to this city and a first time user of AirBnB, Manon made me feel welcome and offered me anything and everything to make my experience of her city more comfortable and enjoyable. Manon is the best of both worlds: if you’re more introverted she will never intrude on you. If you’re more extroverted she will invite you into her world. Her home is immaculately clean, located convenient to transportation and shops, and also in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle. Even if you are focusing your time in downtown Ottawa (as I was), it’s not a bad transit trip with a nearby bus route and free transfers between STO and OCT (Manon is also an excellent guide on this!). It always takes me a bit to get used to new people and big personalities, but you won’t regret taking a rental with Manon.

This AirBnB is well worth it's value. The host was extremely friendly and fast to respond to questions. You get access to a side door with a key so it's easy to leave/enter without having to disturb others. The location is around a 20 minute drive from Parliament Hill. In the mornings there's a chance there may not be any Uber/Lyft cars near by, so just be ready to wait an extra 10 minutes (my first Uber came instantly, the second one I had to wait an extra 5 minutes). The kitchen/shower water gets hot really fast so just be a bit careful when operating the faucets. Overall a great stay and I will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Nice clean place in the heart of the city. Quiet and easy parking.

My husband and I loved staying at Stefania's place. It was very clean and easy to walk to food and skating. We liked that there was clearly labeled parking and the check in was fast and simple. Even though it was really cold during our stay the apartment stayed nice and warm with no drafts. Every appliance I needed each morning to make my tea and English muffin was there, and it was such a short walk to the grocery store! No driving needed.

Stefania’s place offered an excellent location for us to spend a few very short days in Ottawa in winter. The place was clean and exactly as advertised. Was in walking distance of everything we wanted to see - except the Canadian Tire Centre, but that’s another story - and was warm oasis in a winter wonderland. Thanks, Stefania!

The location is very good, close to everything and with a bus stop aside. The apartment is spacious and ideal for to long stays. Julie is always on the lookout and if you need something related to the place her response is very fast.

Camille and I spent 4 months at Julie and Richard's place. We felt like home. As part of our university exchange with UQO, the location could not be more perfect with the same distance between the two campuses. The accommodation is perfectly served by buses to move in Gatineau but also to Ottawa, with stops at 30metre from the door (ideal during a severe winter). The special mention is for Richard and Julie. Guests always present and available in case of problems! The least is the lack of insulation, so you can hear the neighbors live. In case of big inconvenience, it is possible to contact Julie and Richard who know perfectly how to be spokesperson and you bring a solution. I recommend this accommodation, very well equipped with good value for money!

A great location and fantastic host. Communication was prompt and accurate. Indoor parking is quite small so no large SUV’s will fit. But plenty of street parking near by. Lots of bars, coffee shops and Byward market within a short walk. Street volume can be a bit loud throughout the night, so a very light sleeper may have a hard time, But we were completely fine. Cute little space, very comfortable and was exactly what we we were looking for. Would rent this unit again in the future for sure!

Very central. I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. Also not far from the train station. They added some nice touches to make me feel welcome and the place was spotless.

The whole experience we had living here was beyond what we could imagine. The treatment and respect of the host with us was impeccable from the beginning. The place was super clean and organized. The bed is extremely comfortable and the space inside the room is great. The kitchen is excellent! We love to cook and found everything we needed to prepare our meals. As we came to study, the office table next to the window was very helpful. And speaking of the window, the view from the living room is beautiful! We were amazed by the region and the location is perfect for a walk after a busy day.

Mack’s place was true to the description. Even a lot bigger than I expected. The place was clean, had everything we needed including washer & dryer. Communication with Mack was very simple & he responded in a timely manner. Would highly recommend his place to all my friends and family.

Wow. Just wow. This is my first ever rental and the bar has been set high. The place was immaculate and well maintained. It’s in a great location and Mack was great! He stocked the fridge for us with lots of treats, milk, eggs and drinks. There was also a large bowl of fresh fruit. Like really? This place is fantastic, book it if you can.

Great crash pad, great location (10 min walk to parliament hill and frequent buses to Byward market which is a bit further but still only about 20 mins walk). Plenty of places to eat nearby as well. Clean and convenient :)

Good place to stay if you're looking to spend a night in Ottawa. Only thing we would have liked is if the stairs to the rooms were cleared correctly. There were ice formed on the stairs which made it a little bit trickier to go up and down. Parking lot was a little tight with the three spots as well.

Great place to stay if you are on a budget - minutes away from Parliament Hill, Byward Market and city attractions. Qubec side of Ottawa is anyway more chic to stay in. The shower just needs to be a bit bigger for larger people like me and have a continuous & not fluctuating supply of hot water.

Amélie was very very communicative and accommodating. Everything was exactly as described. The apartment itself is on the second floor and the street number is not visible from the street level. Amélie mentioned this in her communication to me, but I was still a little fuzzy on the information - so just know that if you see a plot where the apartment should be, you're in the right place. Inside, the apartment was clean and welcoming. We had some issues with my timing, but they were easily addressed and I was able to check in/out without any trouble. I'd definitely stay here again

Ben is an amazing host! His place was exactly as I expected. It was also very clean. Ben was very quick to respond and to accommodate to all our needs. It’s a convenient place to stay if you’re looking to visit downtown Ottawa or even the parliament, as it’s a 12 min drive to downtown. If you’re even looking to be in Gatineau, it’s a great place as well, good value for money. Again, the cleanliness was astounding. I would definitely recommend staying here.

This was actually one of my favourite stays. My boyfriend and I were on our way to Quebec and decided to stay for one night in Ottawa. The airbnb itself isn't anything fancy but it has a very homie touch to it which we loved. The place was very clean, right downtown, and easy to check in. It is very close to all the attractions. Matias also had a booklet of where to go for food, bars, attractions etc, which I thought was very was thoughtful especially for people that never been to the city. Matias was also very quick to respond at any time. 100% recommend.

Matias is a very nice host and his place has a super convenient location. Very walking-friendly - around ten minutes’ walk to the capital. Besides, the room is stylish and impressive. I do enjoy my stay here in Ottawa!

Helens apartment is well located for a visit to Ottawa. We love the neighborhood. It’s a pleasant walk to everything. Helen provides all the touches one needs to be comfortable away from home. This was our second visit and we’ll be back!

This Airbnb is a hidden gem in Ottawa. The basement apartment was very modern and stylish with everything you need for two people. The location is amazing, you can walk to the rideau canal, and many restaurants and bars. Would highly suggest this space for a couples getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at Helen's place. We were in town for five days to experience Winterlude and we enjoyed every moment. The apartment was clean, inviting and offered everything we could want including great water pressure in the shower. We were able to walk to all local attractions including Rideau Canal, Sparks st, Parliament Hill, multiple museums, Byward Market and Jaques Cartier Park. There are plenty of shops and restaurants on Bank St and Elgin St, both of which are only a block away from Helen's place. We would definitely stay there again.

The place was perfect for what I needed. It has a nice comfortable bed, big TV with Netflix and good wifi. No kitchen but the location is so central you can get food in steps. Very cozy during the winter, excellent value overall. I would definitely stay again.

The stay was cozy! Perfect for a night or 2 but after a while I could see it getting a little claustrophobic. Overall a very nice experience and would recommend for a couple of people.

If you're looking for a clean place to stay for a busy trip in Ottawa, this is perfect. It is quite small (or "cozy") with low ceilings, so if you're over 6 ft you will have to duck for the doorways. However if all you need it for is a place to sleep, it's great. It's clean, easy check in, excellent location. Would stay here again.

Very nice and clean loft apartment with a separate entrance that makes it feel like your own. My girlfriend and I along with our dog stayed here for a few weeks and absolutely loved it. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Johanne provided us with some breakfast food for our first morning. Very welcomed touched. The apt. Is well stocked with kitchen and food essentials. Easy to prepare home cooked meals. The Murphy bed is extremely comfy, outstanding Nano gel mattress. The space is very clean, modern and elegant, but spacious and comfortable at the same time. Bikes are provided and path down to the Ottawa River trail down the street. Great dog trails, quiet area,also there are two convenience stores + Tim Hortons hop and a skip away by foot. Shopping/restaurants 10 min drive. Downtown Ottawa about 15 minutes. We would stay again. Our dog loved too!

Nice place

I live in gatineau, it was my wedding and needed my family and me to have our own place before the wedding. Im excited to tell you the following: As shown in the picture! amenities far exceed other airbnbs such as the two bikes you can use! the guitar! The oversized room! the place was clean! the host is friendly and lives on site! The bed was comfy! a few minutes on the bike to the Ottawa river! Overall one of the best if not the best place to stay in Gatineau. If you want feel like your getting your money's worth look no further than the loft ensoleillé!

Great place when good host.

Our stay here was great, Ben was quick with all responses to any questions we had, he even offered suggestions for restaurants and cabs. His condo is in a great location. Only issue we had was the bedroom being freezing so bring extra blankets!!

It was a business stay and we needed a place to stay that was in a central location and close to some places to eat for the night. The parking spot was great along with the quick answers to our questions. Thanks for being a great host.

It is in center of the Downtown.. byward , us embassy are just 5-10 mins walk. Good place to explore downtown. Gianvito is very nice person, he is very quick in responding our queries. His kitchen has all utensils for cooking..over all it is a good stay.

Andres and Raquel's apartment is ideally located for exploring the city on foot. On site, the information is available everywhere, just read. For those most sensitive to noise, the room overlooks a more or less sound street depending on road traffic, but the area is quiet. The mattress may seem too soft for some. If you wish to visit Ottawa, you can therefore easily stay in this accommodation.

Your stay at this Airbnb was great. It was extremely clean and the location was great. You share bathroom kitchen ad living room with other people, but it doesn’t get chaotic, because everything is structured nice. Andres is a great host and really nice. He lives in the same Apartment and is always there, if you have questions. All in all we had a great stay.

Would recommend the place for future guests. Good location: 15 minutes by foot to Ottawa Bus Central, 15 minutes to Lyon Subway station. The space is very relaxing, with Spanish vibes and amazing texts about love.

Andrew took the comfort of each and every guest staying at the house seriously and was very courteous. Anything we needed he provided, however he was respectful and gave us a good amount of privacy. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfy beds. Was about a 3 minute walk away from some great restaurants, stores and bus stops, would recommend Elgin Street Diner. Great host, would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at Andres and Raquels place. Everything was clean, the suite was large and everything was very well organized. The check in was easy and some tourist informations were prepared for us. We met Andres who was very kind and gave us nice recommendations on things to eat or to see. We reached everything by walking even though the bus stop was in front of the door. We would surely recommend the place for anyone visiting Ottawa :)

Loved the place. Great spacing, set-up and amenities. I have no complaints. However future guests should bear in mind that you have to climb a steep flight of stairs to reach ur room which is a hassle for people carrying heavy bags or who are disabled.

Spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom, conveniently located close to downtown area (approx. 8 min drive). Great value for money! The space had its own mini fridge and table, and we also had access to the common kitchen. Parking space is also available behind the building. Street parking is free on weekends.
