Seven of us spent a weekend at Cail's place for my mom's 80th birthday weekend. She lives in West Haven, so this was a good location for us. This second floor apartment is accessed by a set of stairs, and what a wonderful surprise as we exited into the living space. It's charming, fun, nicely renovated, beautifully decorated and fresh-looking. The five 20-somethings in the group were particularly impressed with the decor and style. It was VERY clean. Cail is a prompt and friendly communicator. The deck out back is large and looks out over a large well-kept yard. I would stay here again in a heartbeat when we come to visit my mom. Great place!! Highly Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Cail's place. It was renovated, super comfortable and had everything we needed to feel at home. It was close to the Beardsley Zoo and Eisenhower playground for our young kids. It was a wonderful weekend getaway!

This place was great - we travel frequently but this one our first airbnb and it was the best! the property was just renovated and done well - it was contemporary, clean lines, and very classy design and layout. Loved the deck with chairs and umbrella - it was great at the end of the day we went to the beach (very close) took a day at the mystic aquarium (fun) did not make it into NYC on the train but it was very easy if we were not so lazy. We had an amazing time here. The place is great, the pool is amazing, and their dog is adorable. I found the hosts to be a bit fussy, and honestly kind of rude at times. Right now they are trying to charge me $100 as an afterthought because there were two of us. This is the first time I'm hearing about this charge which is strange considering I booked well in advance. A little overpriced but we had a great time.

The house is absolutely beautiful and very nice if you are planning for a short trip:)! We drove from New York city and the location wasn't difficult to find! Very convenient that we ordered Planet pizza for dinner and we loved it! also we saw the best sunset ever and view from the pool is WOW! My dog Oliver loves here as well! Pat and Gabe are also a very great host they even provided us Ice cream sandwiches and S'mores at night! Love it and great experience ever! Thank you guys!

This was a lovely, peaceful, quiet and clean place to stay for a couple of nights while my son was at a day soccer camp in a nearby town. We took advantage of the pool a couple of times, and joined by their super-friendly dog at one point, which was fun. The apartment was very nicely appointed, with a lot of extras in the kitchen, which was helpful, as we did a little cooking, It was also nice and cool! We were there during a heat wave, and it was perfectly comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here, particularly if you need to be close to New Haven (about 20 minutes). Mike made sure I had everything I needed in my room. Soap, towels, bedding, offered space in the refrigerator and laundry as well. It was my first Airbnb stay so I was a little nervous as to what to expect, but the family was very friendly and gave me my privacy. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

1. The room and bathroom are on different floors. So it gets a bit awkward to walk through the living room and kitchen when the family is around. Also inconvenient. 2. The accommodation is a 15 minute DRIVE from Yale (about 5-6 km). So if you dont have a car be prepared to uber (USD 10+). Else the bus stop is down the street. Will take about an hour with the bus. But apart from that, i had a great time. Mike and his family are very friendly and helpful and its great value for money.

House was very cozy and Dan was a great host. 10 min to downtown and feee parking in the back of the house. Communication was good and he was very accommodating.

We had a lovely family weekend in Dan's apartment. It is conveniently located, comfortable and communication with Dan was excellent. We particularly liked receiving a detailed message with plenty of recommendations before we arrived.

Anne & Dana are excellent hosts! The apartment was adorable, quiet, & very clean. The coffee, tea, water, milk, lemonade, & OJ was a nice touch. Loved kayaking & the pool area! Great location to stroll on sidewalk to Gulf Beach from the house. We hiked on the sandbar to Charles Island it was a great experience. There were also good restaurants to choose from.

The apartments are cosy and comfortable, very well maintained and flawlessly clean. Its description and images precisely corresponds to our actual experience. We enjoyed our stay very much, it was really like staying at a resort. Excellent clean swimming pool. Kayaking and puddle board were great fun for our family. All amenities are in place for a comfortable stay. Location is great: easily accessible from New York by train, beautiful views from the windows, excellent beaches and parks and a lot of interesting places to visit nearby. And excellent communications with the hosts. We came after long exhausting flight from abroad. Anne met us at the train station and even bought some food for supper and breakfest, gave us a lift to the shopping mall, rent-a-car, to the state park... Dear Anne, thank you very much for your help and hospitality, you are one of the best host we've ever met!

Sherry was very attentive and kind. I came from out of state and she allowed my friend to look at the space on my behalf before I arrived.

The property was just as advertised and provided a homely and quiet environment for our short stay. We arrived in early evening and was pleased to see some snacks and drinks put in by the host which became our breakfast the next day. All requests and enquiries were promptly addressed by our host. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Sherry was fast to respond and available when needed. The home was clean and had all basic necessities. I would note that the king size bed is very high; not congruent for toddlers or aging adults. We may also suggest better lighting; bath towels were very nice. It was a great location and loved the Deja Brew coffee house down the street.

Sherry was great at being in touch before we arrived and providing detailed and helpful information. everything was as she promised. We ended up adding a guest to our party and Sherry was terrific about providing options for accommodating us. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. We appreciated the comfort of returning to a home Instead of to a Hotel at the end of Long conference days!

Sherry is a very sweet host! She left drinks, snacks, and water which was much appreciated on a hot day. The place is bigger than I expected to be and in a very safe location in New Haven. We felt safe! Parking is street parking, signs say resident but sherry advise its not enforced and it was true I did not get ticketed but she did offer a parking tag if i wanted. Check in/out times were flexible. There's a full kitchen with everything you need to make meals. Beds are very comfy, spacious and in the master bedroom theres a small patio! I only wish the TV was bigger but that wasnt a big deal. There was a cute welcome card that had wifi details and overall the host was very responsive and easy to reach when needed!!

Overall our stay at Sherry's place was okay but nothing we would really recommend to friends or family to stay at. Sherry had arranged for plenty of beverages and towels to be there in order to cope with the heat which was a nice gesture.

We came in for baseball games at Yale field and Sherry's is only minutes from there as well as the campus and surrounding area.Comfortable and clean. Met our needs. Sherry was very accomodating with our check- in time when we arrived earlier than expected!

Mehran was great and accommodating. His brothers were also friendly. I did not get to interact a lot because I was out late most of the days. However, the place was what I needed for the week, close proximity to downtown by car, open street parking, and comfy bed. Mehran also provided new bed sheets and towel. Thanks.

This place is very spacious with two huge bedroom and one common room (with a small fridge, microwave, and oven). Mike is very accommodating and welcoming, especially when my friends and I arrived without telling him beforehand. However, because we did not tell him the time we arrived, the apartment was extremely cold and Mike only turned the heater on when we arrived. And we had problem with the thermostat. It never could go higher than 66 even when we set the temperature as 80 or even 90. And at night it dropped back to 55 and we was freezing even after layering up! May be we just moved from a hotter place, so we could not stand that coldness in New Haven.. Butthe biggest problem was that it seemed like Mike entered our room to set the thermostat back to 60 when we were outside! I think it was unacceptable to enter the apartment when the guests were staying in and I hope it would never happen again.

The apartment is very nice and very close to Yale Med and about 15 minute walk to main campus. Clean and nice for overnight stay like I did! The area seems a bit rundown, but the apartment building has locks and I did not have any trouble walking back and forth! Mike is very nice and flexible to meet me whenever I got into town and helpful in providing directions and suggestions with quick responses! Thank you Mike!

If you are on a budget this is a good place to stay. The neighbourhood is a bit 'dodgy' (rehab centre at the end of the street), but I did not feel unsafe. When I read the reviews I became quite worried about cleanliness, but the linen was clean, the kitchen utensils too. However, the fridge and the bathroom could do with a good scrubbing as does the floor!

This apartment (or dorm? not sure what to call it exactly, but I'll stick with "apartment") is located in a rundown-looking neighborhood in New Haven, but was itself an all right place for four people to crash for a night. The apartment has two separate bedrooms, and a common area, and one bathroom. Sparsely furnished but functional and clean. The rooms are spacious and fairly comfortable. Microwave and small fridge were included as well. And there's a couch. The feel of the place is an office converted into an apartment. Mike was very responsive to questions and provided clear instructions on where to park and how to get in. The problem was getting the thermostat to work. We troubleshooted a bit with Mike, but it just didn't work in the end, which left the place feeling cold (around 61 degrees F). We were fine after layering up our clothes and tucking ourselves in, but if it were any colder, we would've seen this as a major problem.

Mike is a great host. The place has plenty of space. Would recommend.

Mike is very quick about responding to messages and requests for bookings. Although this was greatly appreciated unfortunately our stay at his place was anything but pleasant. The apartment did not seem to have been cleaned with dirty half full glasses, used stained linens, an inch of dust covered the floor and there were bugs in the bathroom. The location felt very unsafe and the building itself didn't feel very secure. I would not recommend this place.

Mike was really thoughtful and always made sure we got everything that we needed because we were bringing an infant & a dog. We also told him that we were checking in late and he prepared the sofa bed before we got there. Checking in was so smooth. The house is exactly as advertised and it is so close to Yale University. Awesome place and very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely come back here if ever we come visit to New Haven.

The house was beautiful. The kitchen does not have too much available, however Mike is willing to lend you anything you need. Beds were comfortable, yard was pleasant. Off street parking is also nice, however the driveway is pretty steep and I suggest backing in because it can be a little tight. Definitely not a problem though. The television setup doesn't really work as Vizio claims so I would suggest bringing a laptop to hook up to the hdmi cable. There is a park around the corner that has great amenities, skatepark, dog park, wooded trails, etc. It's really a pleasant getaway from NYC.

Mike's place is great. Close to the CT Open and was accessible to some nice cafes. I would stay again if I were to go again.

Quaint apartment right in Westville Center - walking distance to banks, PO, shops, art galleries, park and farmers' market. Having laundry access and off-street parking was a life-saver for us (have a toddler) while we stayed.

Imran was a friendly and helpful host. The place was comfortable and within walking distance of Yale University and plenty of great restaraunt options in New Haven. Would highly recommend Imran's place to other travellers.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. All of the amenities were so cozy and I can't stop thinking about Dominic's beautiful collection of house plants! Dominic is a gracious host and is quite knowledgeable about the New Haven area. The free street parking and closeness to Yale made this a perfect spot for our trip. When we first arrived, Dominic's neighbor told us that she "wished" she lived in his apartment. We agree!!

Stayed 5 nights with my wife, and for our purposes it was perfect. Not sure how close public transportation is, but it would be a long walk into New Haven. We had a car so that was not an issue. Neighborhood was quiet and well lit. Room was clean, limited amenities and basic furniture, bed a little springy, wifi was good, no television, and there was an iron and board. It was per the description, no surprises, and was what we wanted for our stay.

It's a beautiful residential neighborhood, decent value. Space looked clean but upon a closer look it definitely needs just needs a professional cleaning. I stayed 4 days, and only one experienced relentless noise coming from the main house that persisted into the deep hours of the night, I have sent Lawrence a message but there was no response. But over all I give it OK
