A beautiful tiny cabin on the water. Was very clean and Cindy was always available if we needed anything. Would love to go in the summer as well!

The Boathouse was an amazing little getaway from the city. Not much around was open which we expected in the middle of winter. We had such a lovely chat with our hosts who had lots of local activity recommendations which we really enjoyed.

A beautiful home over a lake that is bar none one of the greatest views to wake up too.

Cindy was the best host! She responded very quickly to all and any of our needs. She also let us borrow snowshoes and games. The boathouse is the most beautiful little cabin we've ever stayed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

The Boathouse is such a treasure! I am so grateful that I found this cottage for a solo retreat. This was my first time at Golden Lake and this will not be my last. If you are looking for a place to rejuvenate, write, work on a creative project, reflect or take a break from urban living, this is the perfect spot. This is exactly what I was able to do during my stay at the Boathouse. Some of my highlights: waking up to the sun, seeing the sunset, chats with Cindy, visiting and eating at the Cottage Cup! The Boathouse is so beautiful and their are unique touches in and out. The bed was super comfy as well! Cindy is such a beautiful host, who made me feel so comfortable and was quick to reply to my messages. She lives across the street, which was very convenient. She provided suggestions during my stay and even provided an extra lamp for my writing at night. On my last day, I wasn’t ready to leave, and I was able to book another cottage at Greystone with Cindy. So grateful that I spent an extra day here. I will definitely be back! :)

Absolutely great spot!

This place is such a hidden gem! So much nostalgia everywhere you looked. Great place for unwinding even in the winter. It was crazy windy out at night so using the outdoor kitchen (bbq and Coleman stove didn't work out well for us) so my tip is bring foods that can be reheated in a microwave or fit in the toaster oven, if you're visiting in the winter. Neighbour is cool guy too if you get the chance to chat with him. We will definitely book here again!

Laura is a great host. Quick and kind communication. Understanding as we had to change our trip date. The cabin was stocked with fire wood and all the amenities that are promised in the listing. Our only issue was that the door was a bit hard to lock so we had to push a luggage against it to ensure it stayed shut since we stayed on a windy night.

A great experience. Wear layers at night if you are staying during the winter.

The Glamping Nook offers a wonderful retreat. I found a cozy fire waiting for me when I arrived on a sunny but cold winter day, and plenty of wood to keep me warm throughout the night. Loved the style of the cabin, its peace and simplicity. Laura is an excellent communicator and was cheerfully accommodating when I requested to come early, which was much appreciated.

What an amazing little hidden gem. Perfect spot for a couple looking to unplug from our Daly lives. The record player was a great touch. And all the trinkets books are enough to keep you entertained. Basic kitchen so be prepared to bring microwaveable or pre made food. I’d recommend the nook to anyone looking to unwind for an evening

We loved the heck out of the Nook! It’s a cozy little treasure trove of awesomeness. Perfect for a winter night away. Zero complaints given. Seriously, we loved every little bit of the experience. (Even peeing in the outhouse.) :)

Great, cozy place for a couples getaway. The cabin was gorgeous, clean and decorated beautifully! Very quiet and peaceful in the winter, with a beautiful view of the sunset over the frozen Golden Lake. Cindy was a wonderful host and gave us some good recommendations for food and activities around. She let us borrow some snow shoes and skates to use on the property which was very convenient. Overall, definitely recommend staying at any of Cindys properties.

Stephen’s cabin was the perfect winter weekend getaway. The space was warm, inviting and incredibly clean. From snowshoeing on the lake, toasty fires in the wood stove and a visit to Silent Lake Provincial Park to walk some of their beautiful trails, this cabin gave us the relaxing, unplugged weekend we were looking for. Stephen was an excellent host, with thoughtful touches and quick responses, he made this experience one that we’ll definitely repeat.

Stephen’s place is absolutely amazing! He thought of everything and anything that’s needed. His home is well equipped with thoughtful touches ranging from a welcome note to a first aid kit! He even had a binder with clear instructions and tips for local hangouts! Overall, his quick responses were impressive and I will definitely head back to Stephen’s cottage in the summer time!

I spent an amazing weekend in this cozy cabin with a group of friends. It was very clean and comfortable on a nice property overlooking the lake. With a wood burning stove in the living room area, as well as heating, we were very warm through the snowstorm. This place is beautiful in the winter, and we hope to come back and stay sometime this summer. Stephen was very helpful before and during our stay, with prompt and thorough responses. Everything was as described, and the cabin had many thoughtful touches and provided everything we could have needed. The cabin sleeps around 6 people, and would work for a family or group of friends. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing getaway in nature.

The place was absolutely breathtaking and Stephen was an amazing host. He was easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable about the home, property, and area. We didn’t know it was possible to make so many memories in one stay but there was just so many things to do !

Wonderful place for a winter getaway with our 15 month old son and two labs. Old cottage feel with modern amenities. Stephen was a great host and responded quickly to all of our inquiries. We all had a great time and hope to be back again next year.

This cabin really takes you back in time and the way it was restored is really impressive. There is so much land to explore, even in winter, you never get bored snowshoeing around. As for accommodation, the king bed in the loft was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, with everything you need for cooking ans baking. The bathroom was clean. The wi-fi was really good, we also had access to Netflix and a bunch of DVD's. The communication with Margret was flawless, she responded quickly and gave us great directions to get to the cabin. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, I really recommend this place for a nice getaway.

Great cabin in a beautiful location

Magret's cabin was excellent and we had an amazing time staying there. The photos of the cabin don't do it justice. There was a fire going when we arrived and a welcome gift with a note, which were all lovely touches. We used the snowshoes to walk the trails and see the beautiful landscape. Magret's local tips were spot on and we ended up at food less travelled twice! Loved staying here!

Just spent a lovely weekend at this cabin and it was absolutely spectacular. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to spend our Valentine's/Family Day long weekend. Everything about it was perfect. From the location, wonderful hosts, to the cabin itself and all the well thought out details. Already planning to book this gem again in the summer! Can't say enough good things about this place, highly recommend it!

If you are looking for a weekend getaway, and some time getting back to nature while being close to some great restaurants and sites...this is without a doubt you place. The cabin was absolutely perfect. A couple of days "roughing it" in the heart of Winter, snow falling, tucked away from the main house so there was a ton of privacy. A day filled with snow shoeing, hiking and exploring the grounds. Very convenient location, within 10 minutes of a large assortment of excellent restaurants, and about 15 - 20 minutes from the spa at Millcroft. Probably one of the 2-day getaways within an hours drive from the GTA!

This was a great stay for my lady and I on our anniversary. The mood was chill and the land was soothing and relaxing. We took full ads vantage of the hot tub and pool. I’m not much of a pool guy, but seeing the swimming area was enough to make me want to jump in. We visited the nearby conservation area for more outdoor hiking, but even walking the land around the boxcar was enough to get a dose of fresh air. We are seriously considering coming during the warmer months to take full advantage of what this booking has to offer.

Great place to get out of the city and get back to nature and relax. Great for two. A little cozy for four in the winter, but still great if you’re close friends or family. Loved our stay.

Wow! Beautiful spot. It was stunning in winter, so I can only imagine the beauty of the summer in this location. Thoughtful touches throughout the boxcar, including fresh flowers. The pool and jacuzzi is where we liked to spend our time. I met Lucy and her husband and they were so lovely! Great communicators. Recommend this beautiful, relaxing spot to anyone looking to get away and recharge!

Exactly what we were looking for! Perfect place to get away and unwind. Really enjoyed the trails on the property, great for doing xcountry ski laps. The views onto Nottawasaga river are beautiful, especially with the gazebo overlooking the ravine. The hot tub is a great place to enjoy the sunsets. The boxcar itself is unique, well furnished and cozy. If you want a unique place to relax, this airbnb stay is a top contender.

Wonderful winter retreat!

Golshan’s place was an absolute dream. From the moment we walked in and smelled the soothing firewood to the last morning, when we finished up some of her great books, the overall experience may be the best we’ve ever had at an Air BnB. This place is a true oasis. Big windows, great books, a stellar view. If you’re looking to unplug and be in the moment, the Here & Now is the perfect spot. And we don’t use that word lightly. The bed was soft and the room nice and dark, the kitchen was big and well-equipped, the decor was thoughtful and — for us — deeply resonant. We share Golshan’s taste, from the Kehinde Wiley coffee table book to the 90s-centric DVD collection to the awesome little library of books. Even the Rumi poem in the bathroom is one of our favourites. The fireplace was an especially unique touch and made our winter getaway so deliciously cozy. My wife kept saying things like, “oh my god, these mugs! Oh my god, this book! Oh my god, this view!” We were absolutely thrilled and, though we’ve never booked an Air BnB twice, we’re already planning to come back. Thank you, Golshan, for sharing your little slice of heaven!

Golshan's cottage - The Here and Now PEC - is beautiful and very peaceful. We visited in winter 2020 with our 7 month old daughter and felt like you could very easily spend most of your PEC visit here - looking out at the view over the water from several of the different cozy seating areas. In fact, we did spend hours and hours during our baby's naps reading and drinking coffee on the daybed. If we'd visited in summer, I can imagine us doing the same thing, but with the overhead fans on and the windows open. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows and the rooms are dark for sleeping. The water pressure is great and the washroom was warm (which is really nice when you get out of the shower in the morning). 10/10 I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Golshan's place was cozy, beautiful, clean, easy to find your away around, and located in a prime spot in PEC. As a host she is super friendly and responsive , as we needed her assistance with something late one night and she was still available to help us out. She really cares about the comfort of her guests and it really shows. Also, the house is very chic, beautifully decorated , and comes filled with all the necessities plus all entertainment you could ask for, classic games, movies, books , all that make for a perfect little getaway!

This was our second time staying at Golshan’s place, and we just loved it once again! It’s our favourite winter getaway - so close to great trails and super cozy. One recommendation I can give is to bring your own tea towels because only one is provided and more are needed for drying hands and dishes each day.

Perfection!! The accommodations were very clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts were gracious and added so may wonderful little touches. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. We had an amazing time!

The Nook is magical! From the minute you pull up to the yellow door you can feel that you are at a special place. We felt immediately at home and comfortable in the open space. The living area with comfy couches & bohemian pillows is where we spent a majority of our relaxation and reading time. The fireplace and the windows that open onto a glorious lake view for sunrise is inspirational to wake up to. The loft bedroom has a comfortable and luxurious mattress with many pillows and a down duvet. Blessed with a couple of cloudless nights the stars put on a show from the hot tub. We took the opportunity to book the sauna and are so happy we did. It’s more than just a relaxing night or two away and more like a spa weekend. By chance we got to meet and talk to Greg a bit about the construction of the Nook and all the obvious love and care that went into design and renovation. We are so impressed that such a vision was brought to reality by Melissa and Greg! Thank you!

This Place is Gorgeous! I planned my surprised proposal here and my fiancé fell in love as soon as she stepped inside! Its a gorgeous place, with beautiful views, nice decorations, clean comfy beda and sofas, and relaxing ambience. I loved it and im so happy I chose this place for our special night! Couldnt be any better! Its a magical place that we will always remember and love!

Aplers place was awesome, it has a grest view of the city, located close to so many things, free parking which is hard to find in toronto and the Building itself was also great, i left my keys in the door and luckily they were still there in the morning ! Definitely recommend his place !

This location in Toronto is PERFECT! Great view, super close to all things we were interested in seeing and a block away from a Sobey's, which is a fantastic grocery store. The only thing we wish we knew about previous to going was that the mattress was really firm. It was actually shockingly firm. I guess some people like that sort of thing, but we are more into a squishier (word?) mattress. We ended up purchasing a mattress pillow top because we knew we wouldn't be able to sleep well for the rest of our stay and everything was fine. Alper responds quickly and was very helpful with a TV issue we had (one of the clickers was under the couch, which we found and everything worked fine after that). All in all we would rent this space again (which we probably will in the summer to go to a Blue Jays game), but we'll bring our pillow topper with us!

Tracey and Brandon have such a special place in the north! We love hiking the surrounding forests, curling up by the fire and just enjoying some peace and quiet. Highly recommend booking this rustic cabin!!!

A cute cozy space to unwind. Lots of interesting books. Kitchen staples were great. Even had a fresh loaf of bread, eggs and milk for me. I understand that most that most people probably don't come alone, and look to get out and explore. For me it was alone time and down time and wish there was a bit of a bigger TV to watch movies on. It is clearly communicated in the description of the cabin about the iron in the water issue. But the degree of it was a little surprising. Alternate water was provided in their defense. Maybe a filtration system would be a good idea. Maybe it's just the chef in me that was a little put off by it. All in all a great secluded space that I definitely enjoyed and would book again with.

Prepare yourself for a stay in a cute little cabin in a cute little town. The scenery is wonderful, there's hiking trails, forests, lakes, etc all around you. Going into town is nice for a quick bite, and locals are very friendly. Tracey and Brandon have carefully decorated and ensured no detail gets missed, which leaves you feeling cozy and right at home. I cannot wait to book with them again! Ps, if you stay on Friday/Saturday, be sure to check out zhers bakery! Amish baking at its finest!!!

We were celebrating our 7 year anniversary and it was by far our best anniversary, thanks to this cottage! It is just so thoughtfully made and has all the amenities that are needed. Its better to get all supplies with oneself before going as you would not want to leave the place and go anywhere else. Look at any window and you will get breathtaking views of the forest behind and the fact that it was snowing, it made the whole place look like a winter wonderland straight out of a fairytale dream. The place also has a cabin trail which is a nice outdoor activity which we went for. The place also has a nice sitting area where you can just sit and chill while you have such an amazing view. I would definitely want to go back again!!

Great weekend getaway, far enough away, but close enough to home. We loved the peacefulness of the cabin, and the hosts were fantastic! We loved the quiet winter cabin, but would definitely like to go back in nicer weather to enjoy the outdoor seating! It was so great that we could bring our dog, too! He loved the river and trails!

This is a homely, well appointed cabin, set beside the Credit River. Inside there is electric thermostatic heating, and many useful items provided, along with antiques to recall some local history. It makes an excellent base for hiking the many woodland trails in the vicinity.

We had a lovely little mini-vacation here! Close to Toronto, and yet it really felt like we got away. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We came prepared with foods we could reheat in the kitchenette, and for one of our meals we visited a local restaurant (included in the cabin is a booklet of information with all kinds of great tips about places to visit, as well as local history). Not only are the surrounding conservation areas beautiful and great to visit, but the property itself has some really lovely trails, complete with lots of seating areas along the river and in the forest so you can just sit and enjoy. :) Winter was a beautiful season to visit, and I bet other seasons are just as lovely in totally different ways. We'll have to come back!

Charlene and Brad are excellent hosts and great people! Both the River Cabin and Lake view cottage, which are in separate area's of the property, have spectacular views, are secluded and beautiful! You will have total privacy and feel like you are the only ones around as well as the ability to enjoy the space and your time there with the added comfort of knowing there is someone just a short scenic hike away if need be. With all the near by hiking trails and lake, we had plenty to keep us entertained and the cabin was a cosy, warm and romantic get away that we much needed. The fire place was already lit for us when we arrived and everything was clean and cosy. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend and be back again! Thank you!

We both enjoyed the fact that everything we wanted to see was close enough for us to walk to in regards to attractions or even grabbing a bite to eat. Loved it! My boyfriend and I decided to spend the weekend there to celebrate our 5th anniversary. The place is really cute and you can access it via a little walk in the woods! Carolyn wasn’t there when we arrived but she made made sure that we would have everything we needed. She was easy to reach and answered all our questions. She even lent us her sled to move our heavier stuff around. Great hosts, great little cabin, great spot..!

We had such a great time at this little cabin, wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is very well stocked and has everything you need. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

This place was unreal. The location is within 10 - 15 minutes of downtown Ottawa but somehow you feel like you're in the middle of the woods right off the river. The view from the cabin itself was great. No matter what corner you looked out, there was nothing but trees with guided pathways from your parking spot or to the water. There was a firepit and barbecue outside within 10 feet of the wood supply and a few Muskoka chairs to chill out. The electricity is solar, and we had no issues charging multiple phones at once and had the exterior lights on for about 4-5 hours (we left them on by mistake). Only then did they start to flicker because of the lack of power. Inside the cabin there's a few board games, pots, pans, etc. If you're not an environmental junky then I might recommend bringing paper plates which you could use as fire kindling. We ended up boiling water which took about 5-10 minutes per use (which we didn't mind doing). She leaves you with a good supply of butane to run the portable stove, but no propane for the BBQ outside. All in all, this is an unreal place to chill for a weekend. You can easily sit back and relax with your favorite people, or even work using your phone's internet (LTE ran flawlessly). Carolyn was great. I noticed there was only 1 set of snowshoes, and without asking she brought a second. You're crazy if you don't like this place.

As I sit down after several days of reflections and recollections, I look upon this journey with great fondness for this lovely little cabin in the woods. As the snow was falling from the sky and we were warm in the cabin, we were able to marvel in amazement at the beauty of nature. But actually, this place is great and there are many special touches around the winterized cabin; snow shoes, plenty of firewood, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very comfortable bed.

This is a little piece of off-the-grid heaven. Nestled in a mature forest with a beautiful winding path through the woods down to a private little gem of a cabin.

Me and my 5 friends came for a winter escape and it was amazing!! We had 2 Americans come and experience snow for the first time and it was so perfect for location and accommodation!! This was my second trip to Ping and Lauras lovely cottage. It is a wonderful place to go away with family and friends to relax. This cottage is ideal for the winter months with the large indoor fireplace, hot tub, and relaxing sauna. Ping and Laura are always so quick to answer any questions.

Sparkling clean, and absolutely stellar communication from the host. The environment itself is also spectacular in the winter, very beautiful. The amenities are great, but check with owner that all of them are actually available.

A beautiful spot on a picturesque lake! We came as an extended family for our Christmas vacation and we enjoyed our time here. The hot tub and sauna were our favourite part :) Ping went above and beyond to help us when the wifi wasn’t working and we really appreciated her quick communication.

We had the Leap Year celebration that we were dreaming of at Marc André's cozy cabin. As others have commented, it is even better than the pictures. I wish that we could have stayed longer! If you are visiting or working in the Ottawa area and want to unplug for a while, this place is pure genius.

What a great place you have! I was speechless! Your cabin is absolutely gorgeous, clean, inviting and for me very romantic. Your cabin shouted peace, tranquility & serenity. Waking up & having a coffee and watching the blue jays flying around. No Internet or television was a great getaway to unplugged and recharged with my husband. It was really peaceful! Had such a lovely time visiting Wakefield, Quebec. The wood burning fireplace in the house made it so warm and cozy! Wonderful amenities, such as the BBQ which we used every night. The house was extremely clean and we received prompt responses from the host. I would highly recommend visiting, and while you’re there you must visit the Nordik Spa!

Really loved our stay. The cottage was sparking clean, well organized and many thoughtful touches. Lots of really great hikes near by and we were lucky enough to get fresh snowfall and enjoy the outdoors. Really appreciate the views, the wood burning fireplace and the easy to use kitchen. We travel a lot and this was by far the top rated place we have been to. Would love to stay again!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Made pour over coffee and a fire in the wood stove every morning. Enjoyed blue jays, turkey, deer and a fresh coat of snow all from the coziness of the cabin view. Had plenty of time to relax and also enjoyed snowboarding and ice skating all within a short drive of the Wakefield area. Highly recommend 🙌🏼

The Hinter Cabin was the perfect place for my family to unwind together. The picturesque setting captures all of nature beautifully. The cabin includes sustainability touches, such as planting 10 trees with bookings as well as using bulk refill products to reduce plastic waste, touches a eco conscious family were delighted with. We would definitely recommend!

What a great weekend we had at Hintercabin. The beds were comfortable, the view was spectacular and it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything is exactly as described. Everything you could possibly need is within a short drive. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Be prepared to relax because there is no TV, but there is plenty to do to keep you occupied.

Hintercabin is such a beautiful spot for a getaway from busy life. We came for a few days to unplug and we definitely got that chance! This place is AMAZING! Right on the water and super cozy in the winter, we can’t imagine how fun it would be in the summer with all the water toys. The view is gorgeous and the location is amazing. Quick responses and thoughtful hosts. We found the bedrooms were not as toasty as the main room during the evening, even with the fireplace roaring, but nothing unbearable. My husband actually liked that because he prefers it cooler when he sleeps. Overall we loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Loved our stay!! We celebrated our anniversary here, and it was the perfect Hideaway! Literally right in town, but you'd never know it, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but super close to anything you may need. We enjoyed exploring Shade's Mills Park and then going out for dinner in downtown Cambridge. Julia was an awesome host, down to the very last detail. It was perfect!! We couldn't be happier with our stay!

Wonderful place to stay...spent 3 nights there on a mini retreat. Had quiet and privacy and the lake to wonder along and into the conservation area with hiking trails, beautiful trees and river. Plenty of space inside The Hideaway, was very clean, free snacks and teas. Plenty of helpful advice and information for exploring the area and Julia was very quick to respond to my communications and also flexible with my check in and out times, which was very much appreciated. Very comfortable and cozy and outdoor sitting area on a hill overlooking the lake. I would highly recommend staying here! It had everything I needed and more!

Fernwood’s tiny cabin was absolutely beautiful and nothing short of cozy! Perfect spot to disconnect from the world and connect with the one you love. The snowfall was a perfect touch to our stay and made our evening and morning view wonderful... nothing like waking up to a bunch of deer crossing. Couldn’t of asked for a better stay, I can’t wait to come back in the summer time! Celia and Ron are very sweet and will make you feel at home, they are wonderful hosts!

Andrew’s place is a great place to go and enjoy his rustic cabin. It was very peaceful this time of year. We loved walking on his property, enjoying the scenery and the river which flows in front of the cabin. The bed was comfortable and the wood burning stove made it cozy warm. You can always use the heaters provided if you don’t want to put on a fire. Andrew was there to answer any questions we had also. We would definitely recommend his place.

Cozy log cabin was perfect for a city getaway for 2. The wood stove heated the place wonderfully in -30C temperature. The kitchen was exceptionally stocked with pots, pans and cutlery (more than I expected) and the place was incredibly clean. The overall location was great, quite close to hiking trails in the Madawaska valley. It was less private than I expected (could see other properties and the host home out our window), but overall still a great stay! Would recommend.

A lovely rustic cabin. Perfect for a small group (3 - 4). The location for winter activities is endless. With so many trails to explore on the property and the surrounding parks near by. The river is very picturesque if you like to take photos. We really enjoyed our snowy hikes. and the backroads to Round Land Center offer a ton of scenery as well as antiquing if you are into that.

I spent three nights at the Whispering River working on a writing project. The space is tranquil, open, and inspiring and I was able to get some really great work done while there. During my breaks I went on walks along the river with my dog Humber and Brenda recommended some excellent trails/Provincial Parks nearby for some more long-distance mid-day walk. My dog Humber was equally pleased by those! Overall it was a great experience and lovely space and I definitely would recommend it to folks - and I hope to book again some time in the future.

Amazing place, Brenda is an amazing host as well. We came down from our apartment expecting a nice quiet time and even though we had some weather and car troubles, Brenda went out of her way to help us get to her location and get safely home. I’ve never experienced such top in class hospitality and I would recommend this place to anyone. Not just for the views but for the fact that you will experience an amazingly personalized time.

Such a beautiful, peaceful setting. There are many things to do around the area (and Brenda can tell you about them all!) or you can just enjoy the quiet forest and watch the river flow. The Studio is a lovely space, and cozy in the winter. The heated floors are fantastic! Hopefully I can return another time and experience a different season.

Great apartment. Renata was a great host very clear and detailed communication. We asked for an early check in and late check out both were no trouble which made our stay extra special. The apartment was spotless and the views amazing. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

Great location And the awesome view of the hostel is awesome. The CN Tower is right in front and the view of Lake Ontario is amazing. The view from the property is better than the tower. The accommodations are clean and simple, with coffee, plenty of amenities, and cleaning and laundry. There is a designated free parking lot.

Apartment was perfect! The view and location was amazing.. check in and check out was super easy and Renata was easy to contact and met all of our needs. The apartment had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice weekend get away.

This place is better than you expect. The view is everything, along with the decor and design— this stay feels very upscale. We had coffee in the morning from what was provided in the condo. In addition, the location is so prime, there’s a Tim hortons walking distance. Really the location could not be better. I will say finding the parking garage and the parking spot was not the easiest upon check in, especially if you’re from the states, our parking garages are a little different. But Renata sent detailed instructions that I’d be sure to follow upon check in to make it as easy as possible. Definitely will be back, this condo and host are awesome!

Fab place to stay even in the depths of winter! Very easy walk to the GO train if you don’t have a car. Was lovey to stay outside the city but was very easy to get into the city. Paul even picked us up from the train station which was very handy as it was snowing and we had our luggage. Would highly recommend staying here! And only image how lovely it’ll be stay in the warmer months.

Magnificent chalet in all simplicity. We had a great weekend where we were able to enjoy the serenity of nature and the kindness of our hosts Ian and Suzanne. A real joy to live in this cocoon for a weekend and to be able to feast on farm products.

We had a lovely time at the cabin. It was well represented by the pics: huge windows looking over a quiet forested area. Cozy interior layout with a loft for sleeping and a wood burning stove for heating and cooking. Loads of chopped wood was provided as was ice for the cooler. Stove was lit and warm on arrival and easy to keep going. The outhouse was clean but ever-so freezing in February. The farm is legit and the wooded area is beautiful. There’s also a pair of very large, very friendly dogs who know no end to a game of fetch. 10/10. Not your typical cottage stay which is exactly what we were looking for.

Max is super easy to communicate with and was very flexible. Due to a flight delay I didn't get to stay at his place, but all our communication surrounding my arrival and shifting of plans was quick, easy, and super understanding.

Oliver and Frank are fantastic hosts who go the extra mile for their guests. While the space itself was stunning and filled with such charm, their hospitality took the experience even further. Frank was so attentive and responsive, even dropping off some oil when we couldn't find it in the house. We loved the privacy of the property and, for the first time, it genuinely felt like a romantic getaway. Perfect way to spend our anniversary. The treehouse itself felt more like a "tiny home" as my understanding of a treehouse is a house atop trees. Nevertheless, it was enchanting (and better than the pictures!) and we'd love to go back and experience what it has to offer in the summer. Frank was also gracious to allow early check in and check out since there weren't any guests staying before and after us - if that isn't 20/10 hospitality I don't know what is!

We loved it so much the first time had to go back this time! Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! Love the cedar treehouse!

Frank and Oliver were very accommodating about our stay. Even with the 2-night minimum, my wife and I only wanted to stay 1 night this weekend and they made it work, so that was above and beyond. Frank allowed us to do an early check in as noone stayed the night before us, and when we got to their complex, he personally escorted us through what seems to be acres of land and forest, until we got to their treehouse. The treehouse had everything you'd expect out of your childhood treehouse, except that it had a fireplace, shower and toilet, heater, pots and pans, sound system -- everything that you need to never have to leave the treehouse. It was very cozy. The stairs lead you from the first floor, to the living room/kitchen and all the way to the top level which is the bed. It really brings out your 5-year-old self being in that treehouse. Outside is a gorgeous view and it's own challenge for exploration, though we didn't get to do it as much as we wanted to. But they provided snowshoes for you to wander off into their hiking trails. At night, there's a stargazing opportunity if you're into long exposure photography. You can also drive for about 15 minutes to Port Perry to have dinner or get groceries or explore the town itself. All in all, it was a fantastic getaway not too far from Toronto, and would love to go back in the summer to see the difference. Frank was even generous enough to offer a late checkout since noone else was checking in after us, but we couldn't stay :(. Ps: as a tip, bring external chargers for your phones when you're in bed and not want to get up because it's too cozy.

Lawrene and Harry are wonderful hosts, great to communicate with, extremely accomodating, and both lovely individuals. They made our stay pleasant and easy! This location is stunning. A treehouse, suspended over a river, surrounded by forests and fields. Walking up to the house feels like you are passing through 4 different fairy tale locations. While it does get quite muddy down there, the walk is pleasant and the scenery is great. Lawrene and Harry have left so many nice touches at the cabin, it feels very homey despite its small size. Very cozy little cabin! Everything you would need was provided! Lots of board games to play! The place was simply perfect, the wood stove kept us very warm, we had a great night sleep. We’ll definitely be back to this perfect spot in the summer months

Amazing place to stay! One of a kind experience!

Lawrene’s treehouse was a one of a kind experience. The treehouse is very cozy, even in -20, the wood stove heats it up in no time. Lawrene was very quick to respond to our request for extra wood on our second day. The site is picturesque and entirely secluded. The outhouse was very clean. Highly recommend this experience.

A wonderful getaway. Everything was as described. Sleeping bag was a great suggestion for winter guests. Lawrene was fantastic in responding to us and making us feel welcomed. She was super accommodating to reschedule our trip last minute when the initial date showed a forecast of heavy rain and flooding. She even ensured that we weren’t charged for the new rate. Now that we have experienced the winter wonderland, we are very much looking forward to a summer time experience! Things we would do differently when we return: make sure our dog has conquered his fear for bridge and steep stairs lol would pack lighter so less trips carrying things back/forth to the car (about 1km per description) - and more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery! Love the riverbank right next to the treehouse. The treehouse was small but nice and cozy for two. Bandaids, books, games, tea/instant coffee and extra tap water for emergency was a thoughtful touch. You will be completely off grid and not see a single soul during the stay - it’s fantastic. Thank you, Lawrene and Harry. - Rebecca and David

All the reviews for this place are very accurate! Much better then expected, has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful off grid stay. I had something come up and Lawrene was very accommodating with me showing up a day later. I will definitely be back in the summer. Thanks again

A memorable and unique experience. Had such an amazing time in the treehouse and enjoyed the warm breakfast at the farmhouse in the morning. A great place to stay and get away for a bit. A childhood dream come true!

Lawrene is wonderful! This was my second stay. Unfortunately flooding made staying in the treehouse difficult but Lawrene was very accommodating and we ended up having a lovely time anyways. I hope to be back again!
