This is an awesome place to stay to enjoy the surrounding beauty of the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. Very close to awesome hikes, kayaking, bird watching, and fishing and not too far away from New Smyrna Beach, which is a great little beach town. There was a separate room to store gear and the upstairs apartment had everything I needed for my weeks stay. Gary and Gay were awesome hosts and even greeted us with fresh baked cookies!

Beautifully decorated and the "extras" were great!

Gary and Gay gave us a very warm welcome and have a beautiful place which was even greater than discribed. They did a wonferful job with the seasonal decoration and gave the room a very lovingly christmas cheer. Such a shame we could only spend one night there, but we would come back there anytime.

A beautifully restored home that's just far enough off US-1 to be nice and quiet. I think Gay & Gary have thought of just about everything to make the stay easy and pleasant. Gay also made us the best cookies we'd had in long time.

We had an wonderful weekend in Gary's and Gay's studio. The place is very welcoming and cozy. The unit has everything you need, from linens and towels to basic hygiene items. The reception was very welcoming, we had homemade cookies "delicious by the way" coming out of the over. They were very kind and attentive showing the details of the property. For sure you can feel and see that Gary and Gay dedicates lots of love and attention to this family place.

Gary and Gay made us feel very welcome from the moment that we arrived in their cozy little place. Though our arrival was later than we had mentioned, they still took the time to show us around the place and answered any questions that we could've possibly had. The place was very clean and anything you needed to make dinner if you were staying in like we did was available. There was even complimentary fresh baked cookies on the counter for us. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here if in the area again.

It is so quiet here. So relaxing and peaceful. My boys loved going to the pier which is steps away from the cabin. My husband was in fishing heaven. We will definitely be back. And Kelly was so sweet she even took a pic of my lil guys giving her a thumbs up when the caught there first fish.

The cottage was clean and exactly what we had in mind for our weekend of fishing and relaxing. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We saw a ton of manatees in the water which was awesome! Would def recommend this cabin to friends and would love to come back again, maybe with the kids.

The campground is wonderful because the area itself is secluded while still being 10 minutes away from grocery stores, food, etc. The cabin was very clean and perfectly comfortable for sleeping and relaxing but the campground itself is so beautiful that you won't want to stay inside much. The cabin has a microwave, charcoal grill, and fridge so I would definitely bring some food so you won't have to venture off of the property if you don't want to. All of the neighbors are incredibly friendly and welcoming but you can definitely have your space if you want. Plenty of places for outdoor exploration and walking. Kelly was an absolute champion of a host and accommodated our late check in and also allowed us to stay a bit longer since we had to check in late due to work. She even went so far as to decorate the room for Valentine's Day for the stay. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay but especially the hosts. We plan on staying here frequently to get away! This is absolutely worth the money.

If a weekend to Mosquito Lagoon is in your future consider Indian Mound Fishcamp as your place to stay. Nice and clean accommodations with on site boat launch, no charge boat slips and on site bait shop makes this place a great value!!

This cabin was so cozy and perfect for our trip. We were here in April and the water is right outside where we saw tons of dolphins and manatees everyday!!! There is a dock you can fish off of and everyone was super nice. It was a nice peaceful get away, and we had an amazing adventure.

Just came back from the stay at Adams Eves and wanted to tell you that I had a great time. Arrived late upon check in and the hosts were still up and welcomed me with open arms. What ever you needed they bent over backwards to get it. I can say that if you are in the neighborhood don't miss this one. With the meals and fireside chats it doesn't get much better than this. Pam and Alan, and their 3 friendly pups, greeted us upon arrival with smiles and showed us the around most of the property. There were bagels and cream cheese at our disposal already in the kitchen area. We were in more of a hurry the first day so we didn't get to see the entire property until the last day we stayed, which was great! There is so much to see from the big screened-in pavilion, to the pond with geese and ducks, over to the garden area and we can't forget the pigs (Opal is forever memorable!). They were always a "shout" away should we need anything but honestly, everything we needed was in house. The last day we got to just sit down and chat about life. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we met. The Dollhouse, which is where we stayed was super cute and had 2 beds (4 of us shared - one upstairs and one downstairs), small kitchen (you can use the stove in the pavilion to cook - we didn't need to do that), shower, etc. If you're expecting 5-star top notch hotel life, this is probably not for you. There was just a bit of aftermath from Hurricane Matthew that they were just about done cleaning up and Alan is building additional housing for more options for visitors. But honestly, for us, this worked out perfectly. We even caught a bit of the nudist bug! ;) We'll definitely be back!

We stayed in the “Eden” house and I will start with the positives. The hosts were very nice and the place was within striking distance of Canaveral National Seashore, which was why we chose it. The house was relatively clean. The dogs, Rufus and Dufus, were the most relaxed and amiable hounds we have ever met. Overall everything worked out fine and we had a great weekend. On the other hand, the grounds are a “work in progress” with no signs of progress. I suppose “villa” approaches a fair description; it’s more like an adult-sized playhouse. The closet-sized kitchen consists of a dorm fridge, a low powered microwave that took about 5 minutes to boil one cup of water, a toaster oven, a coffee pot, and a wet bar-sized sink. It was well furnished with plates, bowls, and utensils. But there is no place to eat inside. You can either eat at the plastic tables on the porch that you see in the picture (which looks into the owner’s back yard), plastic tables and chairs in the yard, or inside a common screened dining room/living room, which has a grill and stove. We made a nice meal using the grill in the common area, but the furniture is musty and the caged finches in there make the place smell vaguely of bird poop. We were told that there was “on demand” hot water. Hoping for a hot shower, we turned on all the “hot” faucets, then all the cold faucets, then all of them. Be prepared for a cold shower. You really can’t get dishes clean with cold water, but there is something totally refreshing about a cold outdoor shower in the Florida heat. The television is antenna only and the wireless signal is poor, so bring a good book. Do not for an instant think there is a usable second bedroom in this house. There is a room. There is a bed. But even with the window unit AC on full blast the second floor stays hot enough to bake a cake. But, hey, there is a tanning bed up there if you’re interested. The owners are building several additional small units, and there are dribs and drabs of construction material scattered everywhere. Electrical cords, tarps, building materials, you name it. The construction of this and the other new buildings seems amateurish, and we suspect the buildings are not up to code. The pond has two discarded surfboards, Styrofoam, and other trash floating around. This is what you will experience if you stay in one of the tent sites. I wanted to leave on the first day but we were able to stay away for most of the weekend and just used it for a place to sleep. I’ve never been so happy to go home after a vacation. Leaving was the best part of our stay.

First of all it's a great way to relax out in the sticks with all the animals, dog friendly environment. Alan and Pam are great hosts and where extremely accommodating. Alan is really creating an amazing location and we are excited to see what the future holds for bare all bungalows. Last day we where there we went and cruised down to New Smyrna down town had lunch at Yellow dog. "Great place" We went to the beach at New Smyrna dunes recommended by Alan also not to be missed beautiful dog friendly beaches. On our way back to Eden we stopped at a little gem close to Alan's as there where 30 ft wooden sculptures and art work that caught our attention "some of the most amazing sculptures I've ever seen." Come to find out that the artist is world famous Peter Wolf Toth who has donated a monument sculpture or 2 in every state in the US that's 50 states he was present which is rarely the case as he is always busy traveling doing art all over the world. Absolutely tranquil sanctuary to have a super groovy time

So for my group it was an extremely good time. We ventured out to some bars and returned and continued to have a great time with Alan and Pam. They are very gracious and giving. Anything we needed they gave us. I highly recommend this place. Big thanks for the property tour the big breakfast we made ( mid day breakfast) there was no rush to leave. It was just an awesome experience. We will be back.

Our experience was great. Alan and pam were perfect hosts. They even invited us for new years dinner and Alan gave us a pineapple tree to take home with us. They made us feel very special. Their two dogs dufus and rufus were very sweet and friendly. The played with our dog for hours. Was a prefect get away from the ordinary. Thanks Alan and Pam.

This is a lovely rental directly on the river. You can rent the little efficiency with glass doors that open to the porch and dock. Just know that there's an adjoining two room rental so you're sharing the space with other guests. The host was accommodating and quick to respond to questions. Very peaceful place.

This is a hidden gem. The room was very clean and the place was just as described. Great little getaway for relaxation and fishing:) hosts were very friendly and available if needed! I would definitely go back!!!

Wonderful!! Beautiful place literally on the water, lovely view of the bay. The first thing that greeted me was a calico cat named patches. The place we stayed was very clean and inviting with one side consisting of french doors. Kitchen fully stocked, it even had spices. Upon walking out on the dock there were hermit crabs everywhere!! Huge pelicans sitting on the water. My first kayaking trip I saw manatees and dolphins. Capt. Brian is a friendly and gracious host, he had caught some fish and even given us one! ! It was delicious. We were even able to borrow some fishing poles and fish which was great! There was a great restaurant down the road about a block away and fresh caught seafood to cook yourself about a 10 min drive away, (Oak Hill Seafood) as well as large grocery stores and anything else you can imagine. It was a blast to paddle out and explore the many small islands and enjoy the wildlife. The community itself was very quiet and peaceful. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my children. We will def be staying here again.

Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful view and very quiet, hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anybody! The ONLY thing I didn't like was the oven was a bit outdated and difficult to use so I would suggest just bringing things you can cook on the stove, which works perfectly, or in the microwave. Would go back again!

I had a wonderful stay at the woodsy garage apt.in Oak Hill. The view of the lake is so nice. I took my coffee out to the lake for a peaceful beginning to the morning. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. We found everything we needed to make our stay here pleasant. This is an excellent location to visit the space center. It is just a few minutes away from a boat ramp for great boating and kayaking. It is easy to find, the directions took us right to it.

Donna was most hospitable. She made my daughters and I feel at home. The pond and fire pit were great backdrops at night. The house was the perfect hub for us to go on our fishing excursions. We will definitely be back!

Donna's place was awesome and exactly what I needed!!!! I live in Orlando and sold my condo last year and am waiting for closing day on my new home so I'm really a Vagabond Gypsy presently. With that in mind, my son booked a flight down for Christmas and there was no room at the Inn so to speak so I began my search for a short-term temporary home for us since he was staying for almost two-weeks. During previous searches for other needs, I had run across Donna's profile, advertisement, and had even read the reviews before just in case I ever needed to stay on the east coast without being too close to hotel row with its craziness and high prices. As I began my search on Airbnb this time, I kept running into roadblocks since our stay encompassed the before Christmas rush and let's not forget Nee Years Eve. Either the availability was not there or if it was, it was either way overpriced, already booked, or both! I changed the parameters to include areas along the east coast, and after playing with more settings, Donna's 'Farmy' Farm popped up! It met all of my requirements, but more importantly, they have a nice internet signal as my son required it so he could have a successful working vacation. After I requested to book, Donna immediately provided me with her phone number and asked me to call before she accepted my request. She did this for me!!! She wanted to make sure I knew that she lived on a farm with a lake, roosters, chickens, her dog, and a couple of cats. She wanted to "warm" me that she and her family were 'FARMY' people! I got such a kick out of that and now it's in my own personal dictionary to pull out and use comfortably anytime I so desire!! ;-) Her family, which includes her parents that recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary and her nephew, live in the main house and my son and I had the ground floor garage apartment, which is in the building in front of the house, to ourselves. It was awesome and very safe. If you ever need anything, Will who is her aforementioned nephew can help, do, and fix anything. He takes care of his Grandparents when Donna is workimg and he's always easy to find! Upon booking, Donna emails you a get to know you type of questionnaire so she can make sure you are happy. I mentioned that my son is a software engineer and was going to work from there on weekdays and when I arrived, I discovered that her nephew had just purchased and installed an internet signal booster so that my son would have a great signal so he could work efficiently. He loved it and I was blown away by the thoughtfulness and hospitality!!!! In addition, she gave me a beautiful Poinsettia for Christmas that was enveloped in the middle of a lovely...

We just finished our stay at Donna's place. It was perfect. The apartment was exactly as described. The living room furniture was so comfy that I never wanted to leave. The bed provided a great night of sleep as well. Usually anytime I sleep away from my own bed I have a horrible night of sleep so this was a nice surprise. The location of the apartment was 5 minutes from the boat ramp at Mosquito Lagoon. We went there twice; absolutely beautiful place! Close to the apartment is shopping and places to eat. New Smyrna Beach was a 15-20 minute drive. We met Donna and her father, Bill. They were both so welcoming. We felt like family! If they will have us we will definitely book there every time we decide to come to get a way for the weekend. Thank you Donna!!

Such a great spot for a quiet get away!

The Shrimp House was lovely. We spent a beautiful week there, and it was wonderful. We loved the kayaks and canoe, and had a blast cooking daily in the beautiful kitchen. The wildlife in the area is the icing on the cake- we saw seabirds, manatees, and dolphins daily. We also were able to fish off the sea wall and catch dinner one night! Definitely a great place to stay. It was so quiet and relaxing. The house is also ridiculously clean. As a host, Gail is phenomenal. Very friendly and communicative! Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

The Shrimp House is a lovely home with attentive owners. They go out of their way to provide everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. Little things like having a bottle of wine waiting for us, bags of ice, beach bag with towels, sunscreen and bug spray ready to go.. They also have several kayaks, fishing poles and a gas grill to use. You pretty much can't walk out onto the porch w/o seeing several manatee swim by right next to the sea wall. We also saw dolphins out in the channel daily during our stay. We highly recommend the Shrimp House!

Gail has done an amazing job at making this a premier get away! The house is not only beautifully decorated with high end finishes the venue itself is beautiful. Watching the Manatee and the Blue Heron, sailboats and fishing boats while sitting on the balcony was such a blessing. Gail was a great host, with quick responses to any questions. It was a quiet luxury and the perfect get away! This house meets all your needs for an amazing vacation!

Location and design of this home is what makes it an unique vacation stay. This was a "stay-cation" for us. We live minutes away but wanted a place where we could keep our boat in the water, launch our kayaks, bring family together under one roof, and run home to take care of our numerous animals. This is a unique home for this area with its gourmet kitchen, designer layout, and incredible views. Standing in the kitchen chopping veggies and looking out over the Indian River Lagoon was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Hosting friends and family on the water and at the house made for a great stay. Everyone from the granddaughters to us elders loved it. Everything is there for family fun - kayaks, canoes, fishing poles, grill, bicycles, and a park right down the street for the little ones.

Ria's place is a nice home in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. The bedroom is spacious and comfortabel, as is the private bathroom. You have access to the livingroom, kitchen and alovely patio. Ria gave us good advice for restauranrts and places to visit We highly recommend Ria and her place if you plan to visit Daytona and the beaches.

Great place and very clean

Great visit, we brought a canoe and fished for 3 days. The fishing pier was very clean. My kids saw manatees, sting rays, dolphin, and much more! We bought a crab trap at a great price at the bait shop and my kids really enjoyed. Kelly and her husband were very helpful with good information on where to take the canoes and where to fish. Kelly and Neil's campground is the perfect setup for the weekend fisherman. Having the ramp and bait shop less than 50 yards from your door is a huge plus, along with our hosts being extremely friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning to this fish camp.

Nice quite place and very comfortable

My girlfriend and i were looking for a quiet place to stay near the Kennedy Space Center, so that we can watch a rocket launch the next day. The cabin was right on the water, well-equipped with everything, and amenities like in a hotel. Brian was very communicative and helpful, and although we haven't met him, he made sure we had a great time. If you can appreciate a beer around sunset at the porch, and watch the lagoon with the occasional dolphin sight, this is definitely your place to stay!

Great location!! Enjoyed quality time with family right on the beach!

We really enjoyed our brief stay at the Tiki Beach House. It was perfect for a family reunion. The location was awesome. The house was perfect for a beach vacation. The only complaint I heard was there were no mirrors In the bedrooms. But who needs to put on makeup at the beach! The outside area is better than the pictures. The beach is beautiful and very private. We really enjoyed riding our bikes up the beach and trying to paddle board in the ocean. We were much more successful paddle boarding in the inlet. Our 8 lb terrier loved chasing the birds and crabs on the beach. She tried to escape to the beach every chance she got. Unfortunately our trip was cut short by hurricane Irma. John was very responsive and considerate. Hoping the storm spares this beautiful beach house.

John has this house very well stocked. The bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable for adults. The kitchen is well-equipped and the view out of the back of the house is stunningly beautiful! Nothing like looking right at the Atlantic Ocean from inside the house and then spending time on the several decks outside. Due to the hurricane in October, the stairs were rebuilt leading to the beach. The stairs don't go all the way down (about a 3 foot drop), but there are rocks to step on so that you can get on the beach...bring tennis shoes - just a tip if you are traveling with older relatives. All in all, a great value for the plentiful rooms and the BEAUTIFUL view!!

Vanessa is a great person to rent from. She made us feel right at home, made the entire process as easy as it could ever be, and the house had everything we needed. The house is located in a very quiet friendly neighborhood. They too also made us feel right at home. It is a gorgeous area, a beautiful home, and very close to publix grocery store. The boat ramp is very close, and the house is set up perfect for a guest bringing their boat. We cannot wait to stay here again!!!!!! We loved it!!!!

Vanessa's place was very comfortable and close to NSB. We had a great time and Vanessa was a great hostess she made all communications very easy and she was very nice and accommodating.

The house is great. Close to everything you need and still peace and quit. Very clean and has everything you to go to the beach or just to make a big pot of spaghetti. We live it and can't wait to return.

A true hidden gem! I don't know how long this place will fly under the radar because it's flawless, so book while you can. My wife, friends and I headed here for a little birthday staycation (we're in the Orlando area). We couldn't pass this place up with the price and fact that it could accommodate the entire group. Upon on arrival, we met Diane and her husband for the keys. She was very helpful and polite. Once inside, we discovered that the photos online do not do this home justice. The home appears much smaller in the photos than it actually is. There were plenty of towels and blankets. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The shower off of the garage was amazing (it has the rainfall head above, as well as a standard mounted shower head). The couches were extremely comfy. The house was clean and well decorated (coming from my very particular wife who normally thinks everything is dirty). We loved the later than standard check out time, which allowed for our group to catch some extra sleep in the morning. Diane was very thorough to make sure we were pleased with our stay. She also recommended a great local breakfast spot, which we did end up going to and were very satisfied with. Everything about this place makes you feel like you're at home. We will definitely visit again! Thank you for allowing my group to visit.

Diane is a great host. Her house is equipped with high end kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. It's very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and very safety. It is very close to shopping and beaches such as New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa Beach, Ormand Beach, Daytona Beach and Orlando, etc. Price is reasonable. Highly recommended her house to anyone.

Great home with wonderful hosts. Everything you could need and more is there for a relaxing vacation near the beach. We visited with our 4 teenage kids and it was the perfect space for us. I highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

If there were 10 stars for each category Diane's home certainly deserves them. This home super exceeded our expectations, it was torture packing to go home, we just didn't want to leave. It is close to local stores so picking up those hamburger buns you forgot is not an issue. The home is on a quiet street in a great neighborhood with an easy drive to other more popular area attractions. Diane and Paul are the most gracious hosts and a wealth of local knowledge. You would be remiss if you overlook this awesome Airbnb experience!
