Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 500+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods, the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast and few blocks from the new Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Excellent host!!

  • Super nice and spacious apartment in a vibrant neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay. Carol and Marc were extremely accommodating , helpful and friendly. Super comfy bed too! Would highly recommend!

    Matt2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing stay at Carol and Marc’s place. I felt like I was at home or staying with relatives. That’s how comfortable and welcoming they were. The place was as described. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, very clean. Carol and Marc made great suggestions for breakfast and dinner. They went above and beyond what was expected of them. The bed was so comfortable. I wish the weather was nicer so we could have taken advantage of the terrace (next time). I highly recommend Carol and Marc’s place. This is the place you want to stay when visiting New York. Everything you can think of is just outside there door.

  • This is a large, clean and comfortable 3rd floor apartment with keyed elevator. Felt completely safe walking around at night. Very quiet street. Just 3 blocks to metro and trains taking you uptown. Great coffee shops and lots of cultures and cuisines to explore nearby. The hosts know every nook and cranny of the lower east side, so ask for their recommendations. Would stay there again.

    Ann2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a shared apartment. Marc and Carol live in the back when you are there. It is an amazing place in a great location. Marc and Carol are kind and respect your space and are also engaging if you are. It is a great way to feel at home away from home in NYC.

    Jason2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Marc and Carol. They both are delightful hosts and had so many suggestions for us first timers to NYC. We were given a guide ahead of time of so many things to do, places to see, and places to eat. Check in was super easy and a bit early, which didn’t seem to be a problem at all this particular day. Marc gave a short tutorial showing us how to get in the building and how to use the elevator. It was great not to have to navigate stairs with suitcases. The apartment was spacious and spotless and we had access to everything we needed. Having shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already there for us to use was nice. Especially since you don’t have to pack it in your suitcase, which makes it a bit lighter for the airport. We didn’t use the kitchen much as we didn’t want to cook for ourselves, but it seemed to have everything you’d need if you did decide to cook. The internet was great and there were lots of choices for tv streaming services. After a long day of walking outside in the cold, it was nice to get back, curl up on the sofa with lots of pillows, have a nice fire in the fireplace, and watch a little tv. Only bad thing was that we didn’t have enough time to see and do all the things we wanted. Well, that means we’ll need to come back and we will have this fantastic place to stay!

    Kathleen2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Carol and Mark are very nice and very welcoming. I love the location to be able to walk everywhere. Again, I highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

    William2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING - the pictures don’t do it justice (the tub is a jacuzzi!)!! Carol and Marc were consummate hosts, their hospitality generous without being intrusive. The location is so close to the subway, we were able to easily travel throughout the city with no trouble at all, and the area was and felt safe at all times. We can’t wait to return to the city and spend more time there!!! Thank you 😊

Awesome spacious private room in my large Brooklyn home. Huge windows streaming in light. Sleep well and feel refreshed thanks to your ultra-comfortable memory foam bed. In your room you'll find a Smart TV, refrigerator, dinette set, and a full closet! We have 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and spacious living room that we keep very clean and available for our guests!
Situated in the top of a beautiful classic Brooklyn row home, my home is very spacious and clean, with a minimalistic style that I find to be fun yet elegant. It has high ceilings with skylights and feels very roomy - especially for NYC! Your room will feature amenities such as a LED flatscreen TV! There is also a refrigerator and a dinette / desk just for you! The comfortable memory foam bed is on a small platform that allows you to easily store your unused luggage underneath while you are here. There is also a hang-up closet that is ready for your use. Enjoy tons of natural light and Brooklyn views during the day with the large picture windows, or catch a show before you turn in for the night. Whatever your style, I'm sure you will feel very comfortable here in my home! The room itself is private, but the common areas are shared. Please understand that this is a large, shared home and myself and a few other room mates will also be using the common areas. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions! -KC
I love this area so much! We are basically in the perfect spot between Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Clinton Hill, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and easily accessible to all of NYC! The subway is right here and will take you anywhere quick quick.
  • Kc's place is wonderful. Unfortunately my trip was cut short due to COVID-19 and I had to check out unexpectedly after 1 night, but I would have been very happy staying there for a week as originally planned. The instructions are very clear with everything, it's a very clean space, and I like that there are the bare necessities there so that you're not overwhelmed with clutter. I wish I could have stayed for the duration of my trip, but I'm glad I had the chance to stay for only one night. Would highly recommend this place.

    Laine2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy to get into the city---just a block away from the G train! Kc was flexible with check-in and check-out, so we were able to leave our bags in the common area before check-in and after check-out. Bed was very comfy too. Really enjoyed my stay!

    Madelyne2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kc’s place is great, you’ll have everything you need to have a great time in the city. The check in is super easy, a comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen plus a mini fridge in your room, which I think is great! I’ve stayed in other AIRBNB’s in New York and this was by far my best experience, extra space in the room, super close to the subway, not super noisy, like manhattan usually is and the best part, super clean apartment, which is always nice. If you’re looking for a good place in New York, this is it. I think the price is great and I’ll say you receive way more than what you’re paying!

    Mario2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in and super clean!

    Michael2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is probably the best Airbnb I have stayed in, no joke. The location is perfect if you already know the city and want to discover the brooklyn side of it - williamsburg specially- which has so much to offer. But also its around the corner to a subway spot and a couple of block away from a train that goes straight to the island. The apartment is the closest thing to a hotel, you get a very private room, shared spaces are confortable but there is no hostel-feel to it. There is plenty of light, everything is sparkling clean and you even get your morning coffee as a complimentary touch. KC is an amazing host, he responds super quickly, he close enough (downstairs) but not really on the apartment all the time and he makes sure you have everything you need every day. I cant recommend this enough, I wont stay anywhere else in this city!

    Laura2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, great price, super clean and KC is wonderful and very responsive. Would absolutely book again.

    Anthony2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay for a quick visit to NYC. Prompt communication, clean place, easy access, comfortable accommodations. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you KC.

    Tino2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed my stay here, the room was very comfortable and the entire apartment was very clean with nice bathrooms. Check-in was super easy. Neighborhood leaves a bit to be desired in my opinion but thankfully the subway is a very short walk away. KC was a great host and I would definitely stay here again!

Please read over all description (below) carefully, following this you may request to book AND very importantly, message me confirming your having read the full description of expectations (below) and house rules, confirming your understanding and agreement to these terms, and giving me a brief introduction of yourself, and why you think you would be a good fit; then your request will be considered. Two young professional women and a dog living in this peaceful loft. Vegan, drug free home.
The main area of the loft is my personal and professional creative studio space; this must be respected as my personal space at all times, especially now as I am working from home full-time. I am a full-time artist and wellness coach, and currently occasionally receiving clients in-person at the space for consultations, healing sessions, and personal fitness coaching. You have full use of the kitchen to prepare food, and will have designated space to keep your things. Guests must join us in a strictly plant-based diet (including no animal food products, meaning no dairy/eggs/fish/dead animal bodies/body parts) when in the home, this is in accordance with our ethical, moral, and spiritual lifestyle and therefore the space we hold in the home and workspace. In accordance with that, this is also a drug-free space. It is also required that guests follow labeled recycling areas with accuracy around the kitchen. Shoes are not worn in the apartment, with no exceptions. Please note this is a LOFT SPACE, if you have been in this style of apartment before you know that there is not a tremendous amount of sound-proofing, it is essential that guests have awareness around this to respect permanent residents, using headphones for all audio, and taking phone calls quietly, our outside in the hall, and not smashing around/making vocal sounds unnecessarily. If you snore loudly or at all, this is not the place for you! Sorry! We have had snoring guests here in the past that disturbed our sleep all night long, not an experience we would like to re-live, as I'm sure you can imagine. Smoking is absolutely prohibited anywhere in the apartment or in the hallway at any time. There is access to a beautiful roof all the way up the buildings main staircase where smoking is allowed.
The neighborhood is extremely safe and quiet, though has lots of nightlife, cool clubs and bars. We are also surrounded by plenty of charming coffee shops and parks for daytime outings; great, inexpensive grocery stores, restaurants, and art galleries are all at hand. Furthermore the area is extremely accessible and connected to all other popular & happening places in NYC.

This is a very cute attic space in a private home on a beautiful, calm residential street in Brooklyn. We are half a block from an express bus that gets you into Manhattan in 20 minutes. It's a 10 minute walk to the subway train into the city. Prospect Park is also in walking distance where you will find a lovely place to jog, ride bikes, ice skate and more. At the end of the block you will find an abundance of hip restaurants and bars to choose from.
After entering through a common front door, the private entrance is up the stairs. On sunny days, light pours in through the 5 skylights and in the evening you can look up at the stars from your bed. The space is all yours. The attic features: *comfortable bed *private half bath *your own microwave and refrigerator *clean linens, towels, and wash cloths *kitchen table and chairs *tons of space *clothes bar for hanging your fancy duds. You will have your own key and absolute privacy.
The neighborhood (Kensigton/Prospect Park South) is possibly one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world and will allow you to experience the true feeling of old Brooklyn while also providing several excellent options for sipping a great cup of coffee. There are quite a few dining options in easy walking distance including some nice Italian, French, Japanese and Thai food. Also lot's of great other authentic fast food from the world including several excellent food spot from Bangladesh/Pakistan, a great taco truck, and some of the best Caribbean Rotis you'll ever try.
  • We had a very enjoyable stay. Totally recommend!

  • Perfect for the price! We had a great stay experience here!

    Dani2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in this cozy loft was amazing. The location is great, between three different subway stations for quick access to anywhere you need to go and near various bars, restaurants, delis, and markets yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood - it doesn't get much better than this! This space was well stocked with a mini-fridge, a microwave, cutlery, a kettle, and they even brought us a French press as well for coffee. It was clean and stylish - albeit a bit cold in the evenings, but there was a nice warm blanket left up there for us! Thank you for a great experience in Brooklyn.

    Emilia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The attic space is really cute. Nice space, fast wi-fi and very clean. And friendly Hosts. I liked this apartment and I've prolong my reservation

  • Very nice apartment, very well located, close to subway and in a very quiet area of Brooklyn. We slept very well after our long days, and we also easily found the accessible bathroom in the basement. Good value for money for a short stay in New York! Ken is also very responsive to messages :)

    Antoine2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a nice place good price would book again

  • This is a very cosy place in a safe neighbourhood in Brooklyn. Easy access into Manhattan/JFK via subway (Fort Hamilton Parkway Station, Church Avenue Station or Beverly Road Station). There are quite a few local supermarkets close to the stations. The house has everything you need, including toaster, microwave, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom in the basement had shampoo and conditioner. Ken was very easy to communicate with. Always replied to messages promptly. Would definitely recommend this place.

  • Love this place! Parking on premises is a great thing to have also I noticed it’s a quiet block which is a plus! The apartment is gorgeous very clean from what I’ve seen. I’m very big on clean freak *the type to see if there’s dust in places to typically think* lol . The host is very quick on responding and helpful ! I highly suggest this place and plan on coming back when I’m back in the area!

  • Super cute set up and location. Loved it, would stay again!

    Monique2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Manuel's place was an absolute joy to stay at. Based on reviews and pictures, the apartment very much lived up to the reported cleanliness. The only small mishap we ran into was parking due to a different tenant's car, but Manuel was extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns--even late at night. Calling him immediately remedied the situation. Overall, our weekend getaway surpassed all expectations. This place is definitely recommended for anyone planning to explore the Manhattan or New Jersey area!

    Christine2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great property. Easy to get to, and having our own parking space is a wonderful bonus. Very close to NYC. Manuel was easy to communicate with. Great food locations close by. My ONLY issue is that the memory foam mattress was too firm for me, but everything else was great!

    Leslie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved Manuel’s place. It was super clean and comfy. We would uber to the train station, which takes you right into the heart of Manhattan. We’ll definitely be back!

    Kelsey2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Manuel's place! It was very clean. I saw some of the past reviews that mentioned cleanliness, but we have zero complaints! There was noise from the construction nextdoor. The space was stylish and cozy. We loved having the parking spot. About a 30-40 minute drive to Manhattan depending on traffic. Highly recommend!

Please do not show up 1 hour early or arrive 1 hour late. Respect our time pleassssseeee CHECK OUT: 11am. After checkout, we do not store any luggage inside the loft after too many guests abused this courtesy. You can also use this for storing you bags before you check-in. I'm sorry but this is not a hotel lobby. HOUSE RULES: Please no shoes in loft, no drinking or partying in loft (enjoy the city nightlife!). Absolutely no bringing other people/friends (who are not apart of booking) to loft... Who are awesome travelers just like you! QUIET HOURS: We want to be respectful of everyone's sleeping schedule. We ask to be considerate of noise between 11pm-9am. We all need sleeeeep :) CANCELLATION POLICY: Strict cancellation policy, no exceptions (including health & weather). Make sure to read everything before you book. If you need to cancel for ANY reason you are agreeing to our refund policy by booking. I really hope you read this ;) TOWELS: A $20 Replacement Fee will be charged if there are any stains on the towels that we are unable to remove. Please be careful of makeup, blood and other liquids. Thanks for looking out! LAUNDRY SERVICE: For $10 per load you can give us your Laundry to wash while you're out with our Washer & Dryer. So convenient! NO SMOKING/VAPING IN LOFT - Outside is ok but not under windows... Our neighbors don't like the smoke going in their home :( NO Roof Access: You can NOT climb up the ladder to the roof. Just don't. Seriously. You better not. DO NOT BOOK if you are wanting to have a video or photo shoot in the space. This is for overnight guests only. We do not book shoots through airbnb. Write us instead to inquire, but do not book. There will be consequences if you book with the intention of having a shoot in our home. Most important rule - Have so much fun! We’re pretty chill and we would just like to have nice and respectful guests :)
    Totally safe!

Sanitized and ready for you! This bright, sunny “tiny home”-styled ApartmentTherapy-featured loft is in the most convenient location for quick access to every borough. Made to be cozy with everything you need to feel like a local living in style in a cabin perched above the bustle. COVID Provisions: Disposable Gloves, Surface Sanitizer Spray, Two Washed and Ready Cloth Masks
A vintage building was taken on by an interior designer who has capitalized on the rustic "DIY" trend, white washing the floors, adding color and accent wood paneling, brightening the space. Enjoy being in the most convenient location in all of New York, while still having a tucked-away private space and cabin vibe. Feel at home with a window-side office, open-plan bedroom + living room, kitchen + dining room, and spacious bathroom with tub. The bed (with comfy down topper) is actually a futon that can be folded into a couch to make the bedroom a living room, should you choose (with a projector to turn your laptop into a movie theatre)! The furniture roves often, as it’s fun to see how many floor plans can be made of one space, but photos are continually added. If important to you to know how it currently looks between the photos shown, of course ask! :)
Williamsburg, Brooklyn is quite literally the trendiest and most happening neighborhood in the trendiest and most happening city in the world.
  • This place was perfect!!!! I got a lot of work done and slept well. Great energy and very clean!

  • Bee’s place is mind-blowing! A comfy cornucopia of wonder and delight. The scents and lighting set the scene for this beautiful escape from the hustle bustle of Bedford Avenue. On top of all of this, Bee was very detailed and responsive in communication. Highly recommend this spot!

  • Great stay and great location!

    Anthony2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Bees little place is wonderful and cozy. It made me feel right at home on my work trip. She was friendly and kind and very helpful and great with communication. The space itself was so whimsical and rustic in every way. Would absolutley recommend and will for sure be staying again! Thanks Bee!

    Kayla2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Bee’s place is a GEM!! Everything about it is “feel good”. The natural light which streams into her apt. is radiant and clearly her fig tree loves it too. Special decorative touches are everywhere!! It is simply is a heart warming spot. My weekend in NYC was booked with fun events so therefore I didn’t get to simply hang out in her apt. Would have loved to soak in the coziness. Next time, Bee’s place will be my destination and respite location. So looking forward to a little Brooklyn retreat in her apt.

    Joan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly think this is the best Air BnB I have ever stayed in. Hesitate slightly upon writing this as I want it to remain a secret, but I have been & will be recommending it to everyone. It’s a small oasis of utter calm, peace & fun-loving touches of care, set back from the hustle of NYC and yet not not too far from Manhattan. Williamsburg is a great lil area, but it’s genuinely quite hard to leave this space. Even more homely than the pics suggest, such attention to detail in each corner .. outstanding music collections & homely touches, (including fresh pears) wherever you look. Think woodland Vancouver island cabin meets Hygge meets NYC. My main impression on walking into room = who is Bee, and how do I meet her! Luckily I did - she is quick to help, super at comms but most imp. of all, just a great gal ! Book it !! Now !xx

    Edwin2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bee's hospitality can be felt from beginning to end. I was in town to do a lot of hard work, I'm a chef and a writer and when I come to the city, I'm always running pretty full tilt, so I look for a place I can really relax at at the end of the day. I was so deeply comfortable at Bee's - and the ease with which she welcomes you was something I was very grateful for. It is a perfect place to tuck in, to work on quiet projects and to explore a great neighborhood. This was one of the first times I felt like I was falling in love with Brooklyn. As a self-proclaimed Manhattan-phile, I was won over by the neighborhood charms and conveniences. I would 100% book this again and again upon future trips to NYC, even if it means taking a train (very conveniently located) to my beloved Manhattan haunts and meetings. All that, and Bee was funny and gracious, let me check in early and was truly delightful to engage with. She has designed her apartment so beautifully and practical things are very well attended to. You will be very cozy. Thanks Bee!

Our beautiful, light-filled art-filled BROOKLYN LOFT invites you to stay, with its characteristic BKLYN style. We're a 10-minute walk to DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights and the waterfront - and a vast choice of great restaurants, boutique shopping and entertainment. Brooklyn Bridge, Barclay Center and the Brooklyn Flea are an easy walk...and in case of emergencies, we're 2 blocks from coffee options (or make your own here). No locals for parties, if no reviews inquire first, thank you!
We are music industry and design professionals who have lived in Brooklyn for 15 years. The decor is a natural result of our love of pop and avant-garde in music, fashion and art. As a result our art studio (and much of our work) has been featured in design magazines, photo shoots and more. The space is a rare 25-wide loft with wood floors, exposed brick and tin ceilings. 800 square feet total, with two rooms separated partially by fiberglass partitions (to let in light). All organic bedding and hypo-allergenic mattress covers. Please note that partitions are translucent fiberglass (inspired by the legendary Thread Waxing Space), not full-height walls or doors. Separate bathroom, separate wet room with washer and shower. Mini-kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, microwave , toaster oven and cooking utensils. The building was built in the late 1800's and was a firehouse in the 1930's. Long time neighbors have said the brass pole was removed in the 1960's! The space has been featured in numerous photo shoots and a few web tv series!
This is a perfect vacation location just one subway stop from Manhattan, which is why there is a new hotel opening every few months! We are a 10-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan bridge, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), DUMBO, Fort Greene (beautiful park!), Brooklyn Heights. Not to name drop but...Brooklyn FLEA, Grimaldi's, Jacques Torres and Shake Shack are ALL within walking distance!
  • Great loft apartment in excellent location in Dumbo. Mike was a terrific host and made my stay very enjoyable!

    Peter2020-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • I'd say this place is perfect for a group, and so affordable for its location. I stayed at Mike's place with 4 friends and we loved having such a nice homebase. We were able to hang out together in a stylish space, have coffee / tea in the morning, store food in the fridge, work (good wifi), take hot showers etc. The mattresses were comfy enough and there was plenty of room for all our luggage. Great and quick communication and check in. It's not the nicest street but it felt safe and good food + views of Manhattan / the bridges are about a 15-20min walk. Would recommend staying here!

    Danique2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice spot to stay at. Perfect area to receive all kinds of feels of the Brooklyn area.

  • Great loft space ! Close to everything, easy access. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Beautiful walk across Brooklyn bridge to the city. Mike is easy to communicate with, very easy stay !

    Satoko2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great value play (maybe the best) for staying in Brooklyn. Clever re-imagination of a loft space. Lots of cool music decor on the walls from what I assume is a life full of crazy stories from the host. Everything is as pictured, which includes some less comfy bed space. My one suggestion would be some better pillows, but that's about it.

    Andrew2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Well i should write that it was a bad place only to have a better chance to find it available next time i’ll be in the city. But that wouldn’t be fair for the host and you guys, bacause the loft is just awesome. Stop searching. You are just in the right place.

Stylish and spacious Brooklyn loft located just 2 minutes from Myrtle ave station and a 15 min train ride to Downtown Manhattan. This historic building offers amazing amenities and the apartment has everything you need for a unique NYC stay.
This amazing apartment has huge windows allowing a great amount of natural light in along with high ceilings and exposed brick. It boasts a large functioning kitchen with a 4 burner cooktop and oven. A large dining table and essentials for throwing a small dinner party. There is one Queen sized bed and two sofa beds, sleeping a total of 4 guests. But I prefer not to have more than 3 people staying at the loft especially as the downstairs sofa bed is a little wobbly. If you are really stuck please ask me and I can allow an extra guest at $35 extra. Bedding and towels are provided. The apartment has a nice sized bathroom with a bath/shower. Enjoy the amazing surround sound system and projector but please do not play music after hours as the neighbors will complain. High speed wifi and LAN is also provided. Along with custom made designer light fixtures and furniture. Normal wear and tear to be expected. Please note the downstairs sofa now has been a little damaged so while I am waiting to replace it please do not put it back up into a sofa if I have set it up as a bed for you as there is a trick and I don’t want it further damaged. The upstairs sofa will be set up as a bed for you if you let me know in advance - fyi the seat lifts up and you will find extra bedding inside.
The apartment is situated in Bushwick, Brooklyn. New York’s most exciting up and coming neighbourhoods. With cute cafes, vintage stores, bars and restaurants popping up week to week this area attracts young creatives to the area creating a great vibe. Exhibitions, installations and warehouse parties are often happening so be sure to check notice boards etc to be part of the action.
  • Piya’s place is in a perfect location. So close to the subway and only 20-25mins into Manhattan. Lots of great cafes, restaurants and bars within walking distance and a supermarket opposite the subway station. Piya met us for check in and to show us around and gave us lots of great recommendations. The apartment was neat and tidy and had everything we needed. There’s a projector to connect a laptop to if you want to watch a film/tv. Thanks for a great stay 😊

  • Piya’s Place is PERFECT for a beautiful stay in Brooklyn! She was extremely helpful before, during and after our stay, supported us with local tips and recommendations, and made sure our stay was comfortable! The airbb is walkable to all the shopping and incredible dining, so 5 stars for location! We will absolutely come stay again. Thank you for a beautiful weekend!

  • Stayed here for Comic-Con, and it was a great spot. Easy to get to from the airport and easy access to downtown. Lots of fun Brooklyn around it as well. Would love to come back and do more Brooklyn!

  • Great space and awesome location. Loved exploring the area and Piya’s recommendations made it super easy. Really loved the apartment, lots of space and everything you could possibly need. Plus the neighbors were all so friendly. Couldn’t recommend anymore highly for anyone looking for a cool base to explore Brooklyn and Williamsburg from!

  • Great place! It was easy to get the keys from the lock box. The game room in the basement looked fun but a power outage in Manhattan trapped us there and we didn’t get to play in the basement. Pita was quick to respond to questions. Very cool place.

  • I had a lovely time staying here. The apartment is clean, bright, and spacious! Its very close to the train, which can be a bit loud, but i honestly was never bothered by it. It’s close to train stations, restaurants, stores, gyms, and anything else you could need. I very much enjoyed my time here.

  • Tokunbo is an excellent host. The apartment was perfect for me and my month long stay. Tokunbo was always so responsive and made it very clear how wonderful of a host she is by always being available if I ever needed her. The space is the perfect size and great walking distance from the train. This was a great stay!

  • Nice place and great ospitality

    Massimiliano2019-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Contrary to other reviews, this is a great location. Yes it isn’t Williamsburg, or where all the hottest restaurants are. It’s truly Brooklyn! If you want a true NYC experience, then I would say book it. The place is super cute, and the perfect size. It was perfectly safe walking home from the train late. Laundromat is right next door so it’s perfect. You definitely get used to the train, and honestly it was never a problem for me. Tokunbo was always there if I had a issue, although I didn’t really have any. Trader Joe’s and target just a train ride away! Super convenient. I would definitely stay here again! Not only because of the place, but it’s a great value!

    Davan2019-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay at T's apartment! I found the apartment's location in Bed-Stuy to be a fun, vibrant and safe neighbourhood with cool eateries nearby and the subway less than a 10 minute walk away. T was really friendly and super quick with the responses - I felt safe knowing that if I needed her, she was just down the hall. The apartment has all the amenities one would need to feel at home so it suited me just fine. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you T!

    Alyssa2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space, spacious, spacious apartment, with full coverage of basic needs, cable TV, fully equipped kitchen, cozy apartment, seldom needed to use the heating even in snow. Tokunbo, gentle and willing to serve immediately! It is unreservedly recommended

    Evan2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tokunbo’s apartment is spacious and very charming with wooden floor, a brick wall, a large bathroom and a nice seating area with two couches. There’s everything you need in the kitchen as well. It’s very well located between two lively neighborhoods with plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars (Prospect Heights and Bedford Stuyvesant), and very close to an Express Subway stop for Manhattan (Nostrand Av). It’s the perfect base to explore NYC. Tokunbo is friendly and available, while respecting your privacy. We loved our stay and recommend it to anyone.

Exposed bricks, sunny, beautifully restored ceiling, 12 feet ceilings Loft. All within 10 minutes walking distance to SOHO, 5 minutes to Lower East Side. Comfortably fits two guests. Private Kitchen, please read description to the end. The photographs you see IS the space you rent: your own private entrance and private bathroom included. There's also an indoor real-wood fireplace!* The studio-loft have 1 real bed, and 1 futon which can accommodate up for 3 people comfortably. It is a walk-up apartment - as listed in the amenities section - no elevator. This space used to be a martial arts academy, and we have kept the entrance in its original decor (with a chinese-temple like awning). The rest of the entire floor functions as a photo-studio and our working space, divided by a wall. We have a separate entrance. As a result of our combined Danish-Singaporean cultures, our dream space materialized into a light-oriented Scandinavian aesthetic. The space took 3 months to renovate; and we have designed all the details from scratch. - We are located on Bowery, lower Manhattan- a main avenue buzzing with activity in the day but absolutely quiet in the night. SOHO is 10 minutes walk away, Little Italy is right around the corner. Lower East Side is 5 minutes on foot. We have amazing variety restaurants in the area and even more into the direction of LES. We are also close to the J, B, D lines which brings you to Downtown, Midtown and even Brooklyn direct and you can easily transfer to various lines. What's included: Wireless Internet Fresh Linens and Bath Towels Hairdryer, Iron, toilet tissue, shampoo, straighteners, coffee and tea. Note: it is an old building with no elevator with some steps up to the penthouse floor. Central heating/ cooling is forced air industrial style so it’s the full authentic experience of a loft in New York.
We are sandwiched between SOHO (7 mins walk), Little Italy (2 mins) the border of Chinatown (a minute) and Lower East Side (7 mins walk).

  • Beautiful space! A bit of a cozy cabin feel in Manhattan. Unfortunately, walls are thin and the water pressure low. But otherwise a dreamy, unique place in a great location with sweet, responsive hosts.

    Sarah2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I had a wonderful staycation at Zi's loft! It's cozy, warm, and full of greenery and artistic books and touches. Whenever we had a question or need, Zi or her partner got right back to us and fixed the issue in no time. (the cleaning lady had forgotten to leave toilet paper for us and the heat was a little low for my liking at one point - nothing serious). The stairs are intense as others have mentioned but it's downtown NYC. Climbing a few flights is to be expected! The wood stove was an especially wonderful touch - it was very chilly and snowy out during our visit and it just made everything warmer and cozier :) I would totally stay here again and even asked if we could extend our stay by a night!

You will be sleeping in the lofted area on a king-size mattress. There are also options for additional guests: queen size air bed mattress and extendable couch. About the apartment: The apartment is a fifth-floor loft space with a hip, industrial-style feel (think exposed brick, high ceilings, huge windows overlooking the street). There are two bedrooms (one of them is mine), a large, sun-drenched common area with leather lounge, a kitchen (which you're free to use), and a bathroom. There is no TV, however there is s WiFi so you can download your entertainment on your computer or device. I also Air BnB my couch in the living room. About the area & the building itself: People say that Bushwick is the next Williamsburg. It's a save area. The area itself has an industrial touch, broken through restaurants and cafe shops and many small private artist's shops and art galleries, second hand stores, vegan eateries, graffiti tours, house of YES, the Gardener venue place. The building was a factory which was converted to residential lofts in early 90is. All residents are artists: painters, writers, photographers, actors, dancers, musicians. Added bonus: close to the train station, 15 min ride to Manhattan. Short ride by train to Bedford Avenue ( the heart of Williamsburg). The "Green" Gym is 2 Block away from my building, they have attractive trials and week prices. The Laundry is in the building, costs $5. Awesome spacious private room in my large Brooklyn home! Get a great night's sleep and feel refreshed thanks to your ultra-comfortable memory foam bed.
  • Great location, and nice room. Airbnb guest are on a totally separate floor to KC's living space, which meant we had a lot of privacy and access to the kitchen and bathrooms on the floor we were on.

    Grace2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay! It was in a great location with easy access to the subway to get to and from Manhattan. It was very nice and clean. KC was very helpful and had quick responses when I reached out via text or email. Also, KC was very informative about what to do in Brooklyn and how to maneuver around the city with his awesome welcome guide. Thank you!

    Anjelica2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Starting with the check in process -everything is laid out via an email with an easy check in. The location is excellent -it may not be in the trendiest area but it’s just around the corner from the G train making all of North and South Brooklyn easily accessible.. the city is also easily accessible via the G to the L or the G to Court square which takes you into mid and upper Manhattan. The bedroom, the living room (shared space) and the bathroom are literally sparkling clean. I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness and this space marked all my boxes. I felt so comfortable feeling how clean it is. There’s a flat screen TV in the room, with Netflix for when you want to chill in the house. There is complimentary coffee and a few snacks. Truly great hospitality here. I’ve come across some real clunkers with Airbnb.. places that weren’t honest or clean .. but I can truly say this was a 10 out of 10 stay.

    Haya2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described, friendly and clean! Gladly again! Thank you Kc, it was cool!

    Lev2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, affordable room with street parking out front (a surprise in a fairly central area in Brooklyn). I didn't meet KC, but communication was clear and check-in with the door codes was easy. The common area and kitchen are nice, though I didn't use them. The two bathrooms are shared with other Airbnb guests in the suite, but one was always available and very clean. All said, this is a great deal for the location and amenities.

  • It's a great place to stay; the area is residential, quiet, easy to get around, lots of food options and there's a park with farmer's market on weekends; the host and team are super helpful too! I went to New York for work for 10 weeks and it's was a pleasure to stay in the apartment. Highly recommended.

    Michael2017-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very spacious, clean, the decor is great. The area is very quiet and it feels very safe. It just felt too far from Manhattan for me but I think the apartment is worth the effort.

    Virginia2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The experience staying at Habitat was awesome. I was there for just under 3 months on an extended business trip and it was exactly what I needed. The apartment had every amenity I could need and I was actually given a bigger apartment than expected! If anything ever went wrong the super was there to help out. One weekend I had a friend staying so the cleaners also gave me extra linen. Having onsite laundry and bike storage was also great. The day I arrived Kevin also met me to help me with the bags etc. The location was also great, just a short walk from a trains station, many bars and restaurants and grocery stores. At the same time it was away from he hustle making it a very peaceful location, especially next to a beautiful park. The only very small downside was the internet connection. At times it was slow, making it hard to make work calls through Skype etc. Apart from that everything was perfect. I would stay there again without any hesitation.

    Eilidh2015-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved the ground floor loft at 101 Habitat! It was very well appointed and very cool with remnants of its history as a cork factory. The space is very generous and laid out very well. It was great having the apt cleaned on a weekly basis. Vida and Kevin were very responsive to my need to extend and a pleasure. The location is close to buses and the G line. While there is a slight walk to the G, I really enjoyed it as a way to explore the neighborhood which is quiet but with great restaurants and walking distance to all the activity of Williamsburg. I was sorry to leave!

This quiet, bright and spacious studio loft in the heart of the Flatiron District boasts 500sq/ft and 14ft ceilings. Decor is modern organic in a newly renovated elevator building. It features a 55" HDTV, leather couches, renovated kitchen/bath, king-size heavenly bed and ample storage.
  • Ryan is actually a super-host. I will definitely stay here again.

    Yordan2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's apartment is very spacious, quiet; soberly decorated; comfortable and comfortable. The king-size bed is excellent. Very complete your dishes to solve breakfast and food. The building has two elevators that work perfectly. The location is unbeatable, Flatiron district; with all the shops that you can think of and connected with several subway lines unique steps from the apartment. I would definitely go back; however, there were two days of my stay where the heating and hot water did not work properly due to general repairs of the building. Then it was resolved by having very good heating and hot water again. It happened in a few days where the cold felt. Ryan is very polite and responds right away. I recommend Ryan (as a suggestion) to change the coffee maker for one that works better than the current one. Thank you!

  • I stayed for 10 wonderful days here. The location is one of the best, in NY. And everything was arranged to give you a feeling of living there. A lot of thinking was invested in the place- from the design to the many little details that make a place convenient to feel at home. The apartment was clean, the bed was big and comfortable and nothing was missing to make it into a place I wish to come back to.

    Vered2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan’s place provided a safe and comfortable environment for a long-stay in NYC for work travel. The apartment is spacious and well-furnished and in a great location near subway stations, grocery stores, laundry services and excellent restaurants. Ryan responded to all questions politely and quickly.

The historic area of Bedford–Stuyvesant - more familiarly known as Bed-Stuy - straddles the hip and trendy areas of North Brooklyn and the family-oriented neighborhoods of South Brooklyn, with easy access to both sides of modern Brooklyn, sharing qualities of qualities of both. Bed-Stuy has rich cultural history of it's own while embracing a vital and evolving community. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BED-STUY as in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is a sprawling brownstone neighborhood Central Brooklyn. In Spike Lee’s 1989 film, “Do the Right Thing,” the area was depicted as a simmering pot of racial tension; in the stories, told through rap, of artists like Jay-Z and the Notorious B.I.G., it seemed there were few tougher places. Even Billy Joel described walking through the neighborhood alone as evidence he may be crazy in his 1980 song “You May Be Right.” Today, Bed-Stuy is different. Well-kept houses have a attracted a whole new population of young families and creative professionals, eager to expand on the rebirth of Brooklyn. A friendly cafe with the playful name Bread Stuy, on a hip strip of Lewis Avenue, serves iced chai tea and terrific banana bread. Jay-Z reportedly took Oprah Winfrey and a camera crew back to the neighborhood to visit his grandmother. The neighborhood, with its large supply of stately town houses and kind faces, has many qualities to boast about and residents who want to share them. “It’s a community that really cares about itself,” said Alexandra Farkas, who moved to Bedford-Stuyvesant with her boyfriend last year. “I feel very happy and grateful to be in such a vibrant community,” Ms. Farkas said. “There’s tons of stuff going on.” Right after the couple moved in, the neighbors quickly came around to say hello; now they keep track of how fast the couple’s 16-month-old daughter, Lily, is growing. Parents and daughter visit the playground at the school next door, take in story time at Brownstone Books on Lewis Avenue and get weekly produce from the Bed-Stuy Farm Share. “We were saying to a neighbor the other day that it kind of feels like ‘Sesame Street,’ ” Ms. Farkas said. WHAT YOU’LL FIND The area is surrounded by several distinct spots: Williamsburg, Clinton Hill, Crown Heights and Bushwick. For locals, it is Bed-Stuy’s brownstone blocks that afford a particular distinction, and nowhere are these more abundant than in and around the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District. Clustered between Tompkins and Stuyvesant Avenues, its streets are chockablock with Victorian town houses and freestanding gems like Akwaaba Mansion, an 1860s villa on MacDonough Street that is now a bed-and-breakfast. Lewis Avenue is a commercial destination in the historic district that has attracted enough businesses like Saraghina, a new pizzeria and trattoria, that you find lamppost banners advertising the area as SoLA, for Shops of Lewis Avenue. Laid-back spots are appearing elsewhere, too, like the new SarahJames “speakeasy” bar on Pulaski Street at Throop Avenue. The biggest shopping nexus is at Fulton Street and Nostrand Avenue, a kind of outdoor mall complete with fast food and athletic-shoe stores. THE COMMUTE For those within walking distance of Fulton Street, a trip to the financial district on the A and C trains takes about 15 minutes; to Midtown (with transfers), 15 to 20 more. The G line, with its shortened trains running under Lafayette and Marcy Avenues, doesn’t enter Manhattan; commuters must change trains. WHAT TO DO In the summer in Fulton Park on Friday nights there is KidFlix, a selection of open air film screenings of popular family films. In the fall, a weeklong Bed-Stuy Alive festival kicks off with concerts and awards and concludes with a tour organized by the Brownstoners of Bedford-Stuyvesant, a community group. Another such group, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration, hosts a 10-kilometer neighborhood run. For green thumbs, the giant Hattie Carthan Garden is across Marcy Avenue from Herbert Von King Park, with a farmers’ market on Saturdays. The Malcolm X Community Farmers’ Market is open Saturdays at Jackie Robinson Park. THE HISTORY In the 1800s there were two villages, Stuyvesant Heights and Bedford, with a disparate ethnic mix. The eventual merger of the villages created a focal point for multicultural Brooklyn that still holds true to this day.

PLEASE READ THE SECTION CALLED “THE SPACE” BEFORE REACHING OUT. - Huge sunny duplex with 2 balconies +giant private roofdeck terrace w/ jacuzzi, BBQ overlooking the east river - Large, new kitchen. 2 bedrooms w/ queen beds+ 1 sofabed. 2 full spa baths - 1276 sq ft inside, 608 sq ft outdoor space. - Living room has a projector; Master Bedroom has a big flat screen w/ Apple TV. - Surround sound throughout. - Full privacy & quiet - Laundry/dryer in unit.
SOME NOTES TO YOU BEFORE YOU BOOK: — I can’t accept anyone planning a gathering or party at my apartment during the pandemic crisis --Upon contacting me, please provide as much info as possible (such as the full names of all guests, ages, professions, how you know one another, plans for your stay, whether there will be any other visitors who aren't staying over). The more info the better, especially if you don't have any reviews and/or have a larger group. --The larger the party, the more risky and therefore the less likely I’ll be able to accept your reservation. -- This apartment has been lived in and loved which is appreciated by those who like some character; if you want a hotel-style immaculate space, this space may not be for you. MORE ABOUT THE SPACE: - The master bedroom has a wonderfully comfortable queen bed and the bedroom always stays cool and quiet since it's located far from the street and direct sunlight. - The 2nd bedroom on the 2nd floor also has a wonderfully comfortable queen bed and a very comfortable sofabed. It's also removed from the street so it's very quiet, although it gets sunny due to its glass ceiling that has special tinting to block out some heat and light, as well as curtains. - Both bathrooms have spa-like showers and the master bath has a huge bathtub for 2 people. Its shower also functions as a steam room. - The private roofdeck terrace with jacuzzi, BBQ, dining and seating area is right off the 2nd bedroom and completely unseen by neighbors - 2 more balconies- one off the living room and one off the master bedroom. - New, big, open kitchen with dishwasher floats between the dining area and living room area -- perfect for cooking with others and entertaining. - Sonos music system connects both floors - Very sound insulated (so rare in New York!) -- you can't hear neighbors or noise from the street - Apart from the 2 beds, there's a sofabed with a new comfortable mattress and 2 sofas extra wide so they can function as twin beds. - Projector so you can feel like you're in the movies in the living room. - Big flat screen TV with Apple TV in the master bedroom - Laundry room with with washer and dryer in the apartment. - You have the whole floor- elevator opens into the apartment (you can lock the floor via the elevator with a key) - The apartment is decorated with art I've made myself and other art and objects collected during travels. I keep it decorated enough that it has it's own unique vibe, but minimalist so it doesn't feel too lived in or at all cluttered. - The gym mentioned is Blink Fitness right across the street and it's just $1 to use it for a week.
The neighborhood of East Village / Alphabet City offers a ton of cool, interesting and tasty restaurants, bars & cafes, live music spots, public art gardens, and interesting shops (I'll send you my full neighborhood guide when you come)... however it still manages to maintain an intimate neighborhood vibe thanks to its relatively small scale and variety of independent shops (there's virtually no chain stores or department stores/ big box stores). You can easily walk to the galleries of the Lower East Side or the shopping of Union Square. You're right on top of Tompkins Square Park and 4 blocks from the boardwalk along the east river.

  • This apartment was perfect for our stay! It was VERY clean. Plenty of dishes, glasses, etc. Having three bathrooms with three showers and great sized common areas was a huge plus for us. The location is great with easy access to busy streets so we easily grabbed cabs. Communication was very good throughout the rental process and upon arrival. I will definitely rent this apartment again.

    Carmela2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Zoie & Chris's place was perfect for our week in NY. It's incredibly well located, maintained to a high standard and the beds in particular were outstanding. I think we slept better in them than we do at home. The master on the back and one of the doubles at the back both have ensuites, the master is huge. The back bedrooms are incredibly quiet for NY. If you have visited NY before, you'll know that it's kind of impossible to be anywhere quiet, even high up in a hotel, but those backrooms are very unbothered by noise, and my son slept fine even in the third bedroom, which is on the front. As others have mentioned, there aren't blinds or curtains on the picture windows at the front, so I bought a robe, though in reality it wasn't really an issue. Across the road is retail so there are no neighbours looking in. Our teenagers were ecstatic to find the TV has Disney+. The bathrooms have generous amounts of products and have underfloor heating. The whole place was very cosy given we visited in winter. Aside from how comfortable and well equipped the apartment is, the other major plus is location. I can't really imagine a better base to explore the city from. It's barely a 5 minute walk to the Empire State Building, and many places that were on our must-see and do (Rockerfeller Plaza for example) were also within walking distance with two kids aged 12 & 14. When we didn't feel like walking, we took the subway, or made use the the 6 seater Uber XLs for getting back from a Broadway show for example. All very reasonably priced. There are some amazing places to eat, drink and treat yourself nearby, including the famous MILK BAR, which is literally 60 seconds walk away (as a baking nut, I could not believe my luck). We flew in from London and arrived around 9pm after a very tedious wait in JFK customs. Chris wasn't in town, but his associate was waiting inside the apartment and a quick text later, were being let in. If you are traveling from outside of the US, make sure you have Whats App if you think you will need to be in call or text contact as some US phones don't necessarily have a tarif that can communicate internationally, but Whats App worked for us. We were able to get a few late night groceries from a bodega only 3 mins walk away, but there were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and fridge already. We don't usually holiday again in the same places, but no doubt we'll be back to NY, and given what we'll always be after is a safe, comfortable place to stay that is well located, I can well imagine we'll be back to Chris and Zoie's place. On last thing for Brits - the description says second floor walk up, but for us, this means first floor. There is literally only one flight of stairs - about ten or twelve total, and no turn. It's really nothing. They are also really shallow. I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment and host. Thanks also for the bottle of wine, which we were too busy out and about to ever get around to drinking!

Amazing loft in the Meatpacking District. The hottest neighborhood in NYC! Enjoy your own 1,100 square foot space within a 2,600 sq ft, two floor loft. Doorman, building, full sized bed (fits two) with true mattress and box frame (not an uncomfortable, thin, sleeper sofa mattress). Can sleep third guest on large sectional sofa, shared kitchen. Guests enjoy exclusive use of two bathrooms.
The High Line starts just a few minutes away from our building. The neighborhood is lively and features some of the best restaurants, bars, clubs and stores in Manhattan. The Hudson River Park is ten minutes away; it's a great place to walk, run, picnic or just sit in, relax and people watch. The Chelsea Market is within two blocks of our home. Some of the most picturesque parts of the West Village are within a five minute walk of us.
  • This was my second time staying at David and Rick's. It is the most perfect location I can imagine in Manhattan. So convenient to public transportation, and the West Village is my favorite district in New York. The guest space is very private and quiet -- great for sleeping. David and Rick helped me up and down the stairs with my bags (I have a bad leg), and that was great.

  • David and Rick are very nice gentlemen and made my 5-night stay easy and comfortable. The guest area is extremely clean and quiet and I slept great. You never hear the sounds of Manhattan.

  • This was the best place I've ever stayed in the city. The location is perfect, easy to get all over Manhattan from here and the neighborhood itself is a delight. There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops all within walking distance. The place itself is super quiet and very private. The hosts are wonderful and extremely hospitable. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

  • Can't recommend David and Rick's place highly enough, such wonderful warm people welcoming us kindly on arrival taking us patiently through the space. The location in our view is #1 in NYC - right in the heart of the cool Meatpacking District, only a short stroll to the Highline and Chelsea Market. The space for guests is perfect with comfy bed and large sitting area all for the guests. Just wonderful guys, thankyou so much for making our visit to NYC memorable!!!!

  • I so enjoyed this oasis in the city. David and Rick are terrific hosts, really friendly and have a lovely home. The private room is really a floor with a sleeping and living area and bathroom. It's spacious, quiet, clean, comfortable, stylish. The location is phenomenal and near all sorts of shopping, restaurants, the High Line and subway. I felt like I was staying with friends from the first day. Highly recommend, book now!

Chic apartment, Hostel Style, in upcoming area minutes from Manhattan. It is located in an artist loft building. A short walk to the 4,5, and 6 train. There are many restaurants and bars nearby including the Mott Haven Bar and Grill. The grocery store is also 5 minutes away. Free parking available on the street. There is also an outdoor area where guests are free to BBQ and hang out.
    There is lockable storage provided.
The neighborhood is up and coming. The neighbors are very friendly and the other guests are other young travelers.
  • If you're ok with not having your own bedroom, this place is ideal, especially for longer term guests. It's near a ton of restaurants, nearby a few grocery stores, and about a 10ish minute walk to the subway (varies depending on which subway stop you're going to). The people are wonderful, the kitchen is very well stocked and everyone there is respectful of your food and your space. It's very social as well - while I was there we all cooked several meals together, and some of my local roommates took an international roommate out on the town!

  • It was great

  • I loved staying here! The hosts were very chill and kind and were able to give me some great recommendations for what to check out in the area.

  • It's a hostel-style room, so not much privacy should be expected. However, the other guests and the hosts were friendly and amicable, and the space is good for anyone on a tight budget. Clean kitchen and bathroom, and some basic amenities are provided. Only complaints might be the lack of more outlets - during my short stay there were no issues, but if the entire room is booked you might run into problems, as well as the hot water being a little bit slow. Overall, a good place if you just need a bed, a hot shower and a place to rest.

  • Great, easy stay. The place is close to Manhattan and very clean. Orit made the entire process simple.

  • The hosts are both super sweet and caring, they talk to you like they’ve known you for years and they make you feel welcomed the moment you walk in the door. I would most definitely stay here again.
