Unwind on the black leather couch in a monochrome, contemporary loft with polished concrete floors, then stroll the two short blocks to the historic French Quarter. Admire music and artwork reflecting the city's heritage. Permit #17str-13270

The Central Business District is right in the center of New Orleans and convenient to almost everywhere in the city, extremely close to the French Quarter, Convention Center, bars, and restaurants. Gamma,
  • Loved staying in Marigny’s place! My friend and I came for spring break. It’s in such a nice location and is a short walk from the French Quarter. The Airbnb is just as beautiful as it seems in the photos. We loved staying here.

  • This location was excellent! Not only was it spacious and clean, but it was cozy and a nice reprieve from walking around the city all day. You have central access to most things in the touristy part of town (aka Bourbon street, the hotel district, food, and live music). Things like Frenchman street and the waterside are also not to far; I was able to walk basically anywhere I wanted to go while in town in less than ~30 minutes. Bonus: There was coffee right in the Loft along with a washer and dryer unit which saved me at least once during my stay. My only note about the place is that you can sometimes hear your neighbors talking in the adjacent room, but I never rose to the level of being a nuisance. Would definitely recommend!

  • Beautiful loft. Very close to Bourbon Street, and other attractions. Modern, clean and attractive.

  • We stayed here for the LSU National Championship game. This was a great place to stay! It was very clean and we felt very safe. It was close enough to the French Quarter but far enough away from the chaos. The location was perfect! We will definitely stay here again!

  • A cozy, modern apartment in a great location! We enjoyed our stay very much.

    Tim2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was very comfortable and convenient to many places in the French Quarter and nearby. There was lots of space for two of us. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the host communicated quickly and reliably.

  • An absolutely perfect retreat within the heart of NOLA. I really couldn't have asked for a better location. It's 2 stories above an extremely friendly and clean convenience store, has an elevator, is absolutely spotless, and even has some additional amenities and features in case you forget something. The building is also only 20ft away from the Ruby Slipper restaurant which is delicious! Thank you Niko!

    Megan2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was amazing! The location can’t be beat. We were able to walk to the French Quarter, Jackson Square, and various restaurants. The store downstairs was great for last minute buys, and The Ruby Slipper was the best place for breakfast. Please be aware that you will have to pay for parking, but the host, Niko, let us know that right off the bat. I give everything about this place 5/5 stars!

  • This place is absolutely amazing! It's in the center of everything and the loft was beautiful. It was very clean and inviting. Everyone we met from housekeeping to the employee next door were so friendly. Words can't describe how awesome of a host Niko was. He responded very efficiently and gave great tips on where the best places to go were. This was by far one of the best trips and we cannot wait to come back and book with Niko.

  • This was an awesome place to stay in NOLA! we came for Mardi Gras with my two kids and absolutely loved the location and access to everything around us. We could walk to the French Quarter and Uptown if we wanted. Access to laundry was great, there was also a nice store below for all necessities. The room was spacious and quiet, and all the neighbors around us were nice and cordial. Thanks for an awesome stay in NOLA, would come back and stay here again for sure!

    Michael2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • Great location! Highly recommended!

    Don2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the apartment & will definitely stay again if we’re ever back in New Orleans. The bed was super comfortable, and it was easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The only issue we had was that the blinds don’t block the light very well, so there’s a bit of ambient light when you’re trying to sleep. Either way, we really enjoyed our stay.

  • Jason’s place was super clean and in a great location! It was super easy to walk around to different places!

    Ashley2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This really is a great location very close to the FQ and all it has to offer ! To the prior reviews which mention ambient noise I would say: Hey, it's a condo in a downtown location in a major city, it's not Thoreau's cabin on Walden Pond - no noisier than would be expected. Great value.

    Mark2019-09-15T00:00:00Z

Walk to the French Quarter! Available for your short-term or long-term stay is a spacious apartment perfect for solo travelers or a couple. The 1000 Sq ft. loft-like studio is located in historic, quiet and safe Algiers Point; a best-kept secret neighborhood of New Orleans. Experience the best view of the city while taking the Algiers Point ferry across the Mississippi River. The ferry drops you off right in the French Quarter, and the apartment is an 8 to 10 minute walk to the ferry.
The Particular Point Studio is a private space on the ground floor of a historic building. The open floor plan apartment has the living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining area combined in a large room with high ceilings. The apartment gets filled with natural light from the large windows looking out onto Opelousas Avenue. Inside you will find one queen bed that comfortably sleeps 2 and a sofa that folds out to accommodate an additional adult. This apartment is perfect for solo travelers or couples and can comfortably sleep a group of three. There is plenty of seating and a dining table from which you can watch DirecTV satellite service, listen to music or surf the Internet via Wifi connected to a speedy fiber optic line. The kitchen features a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and many of the amenities to make you feel right at home. Also included is a record player and a small crate of vinyl to dig through as well as a radio with an aux cord to play your own tunes. Experience New Orleans on your own terms, stay in Algiers Point and live like a local.
Algiers Point is a historic tight-knit community that looks out for its neighbors. The unique neighborhood kinda has a small beach town vibe (minus the beach). There are some wonderful local restaurants, cafes and bars walking distance from the apartment.
  • All the prior reviews I read were accurate. It was a really nice place not to far from the city. The inside had a nice hip vibe. Really enjoyed it.

    Oel2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Quick response, great location on the Point and the space is awesome. Definitely will recommend this to my friends when they visit.

    Dawn2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The space was even cooler the it looks in the photos. It is right around the corner from the ferry and some local convenience stores/cafes and the ferry. Aaron was incredibly responsive and also very helpful when we accidentally arrived two hours too early. 5/5 would highly recommend.

    Jenna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this place. There were no alarming surprises. The Houseguest Manual was extremely helpful. We chose to park on the side street and take the ferry to the French Quarter.

  • Brad's place is comfortable, stylish, and has a great location.

    Colleen2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brad’s place is super stylish and in a great location!!!! You can easily walk to the French Quarter and WWII museum. The Garden District is close by as well - a little bit of a walk but still walkable in my opinion or you can take the trolley. He was a great host, communicating throughout our stay making sure we had what we needed. He had a storage locker to place our luggage while we were waiting to check in. I thought it was very convenient. There are some very good restaurants close by. I recommend checking out Luke’s for breakfast - the grits are so good, dinner at Josephine Estelle and you must grab a drink at Bar Marilou.

    Teri2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was a great host. He followed up quickly to all of our questions and gave great tips on restaurants. The loft was super clean and close to all the action. We will stay there again. :)

    Angelica2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location for a great price. Just a few blocks from Bourbon Street and so many eating options within walking distance. The condo itself is very clean and modern looking with vaulted ceilings - great place whether you prefer to stay in and watch tv or go out on the town!

    Kevin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic location to be in the center of everything at NOLA. You can't ask for a better host than Brad.

    Adham2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Brad’s place was perfect for our visit to New Orleans. The location is ideal - just a couple of blocks away from the French Quarter and within walking distance of many great sights, museums, restaurants, bars and clubs. The loft space was extremely well laid out and stylish with sliding doors separating the bedroom from the other space. We enjoyed having access to the rooftop with a nice gym and outdoor cooking area. The building lobby is very cool as well. We hope to stay at Brad’s place again.

    Frank2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay. Great location, clean, comfortable bed, easy check-in, no complaints. Would stay again.

    Ricky2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying here! First Close enough to the French Quarters to walk but just far enough away that it’s quiet. Place was very clean. Brad answered questions right away and was very helpful during our stay! It was our first time in the city and we wanted to make sure we saw as much as we could. With this location it made it possible to walk pretty much anywhere!

    Matt2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jovana's apartment was clean and convenient. Stayed for the marathon and it was right by the start. Super easy to get in contact with her and very lovely space!

    Abby2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jovana’s place is not only in a perfect location right off the French Quarter, but she made our stay so easy. Furthermore, we oftentimes have a hard time with the beds in Airbnbs, but this one was fantastic. Additionally, Jovana helped us get into the room an hour earlier than check-in time which was really helpful. Great stay!

There are 3 streetcar lines that we discovered within walking distance. The actual place was so comfortable, for once my husband and I actually spent time just relaxing in the space. Stylish and convenient, the hosts thought of everything. Marcus was great with communication, even before check in. Check in was smooth and easy. Would book this place again in a heartbeat!

The Warehouse District, known today as the New Orleans Arts District, was originally established as an industrial area in the 19th century to store grain, coffee and produce shipped through the Port of New Orleans. As commerce, trade and industry practices evolved over time, the area's prosperity faded and the once busy streets became eerily quiet. The transformation from an urban wasteland to what many have called “the SoHo of the South” began in 1976 with the opening of the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC). The 10,000-square-foot complex is still entertaining and enlightening visitors today with cutting edge-artwork and an eclectic array of music, theatre and dance performances. After the CAC’s opening, the art community saw massive potential and promise in the neighborhood. The abundant and open spaces of the warehouses were perfect for creating, storing, and displaying artwork. Today, more than 25 galleries call the district home. Most are located on Julia Street, which is also the scene of an evening gallery hop that hosts a mix of art lovers and socialites on the first Saturday night of every month. Museums also put the roomy warehouses in this neighborhood to good use. The National World War II Museum, one of the most popular attractions in New Orleans that has brought in over 2 million visitors, features an ever-expanding exhibit space where war veterans are on hand to give tours, answer questions or just to talk with the many visitors. Other museums like Louisiana’s Civil War Museum, The Children’s Museum and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art make the Arts District the place to go to learn about the history and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana.

It was an easy walk to Canal St and Bourbon St and a pleasant walk to Frenchman St this time of year. Still, it was far enough from the busy tourist areas that noise wasn't a problem at all. We had a wonderful weekend exploring New Orleans!

  • By far the best location and the amenities were great. This was my first time using AirBnB and it won't be my last. Whenever I'm in NOLA, I'm booking Kitty's place. Her and Brad were super nice and super quick to respond to all my questions. They're super great individuals and part of the reason my trip was beyond amazing. The space will well kept and immaculate. Get this one if it's available.

    Sky2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place close to the French quarter

    Monte2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kitty’s place was perfect! Close enough to walk into the heart of French Quarter but just far enough to avoid the after-hours chaos. We felt very safe in this neighborhood and the dual access control points (ground floor entry and suite entry) gave us piece of mind. The rental itself is beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities you’d expect and more. We would 100% stay here again and would recommend to all.

    Jonathan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The description is dead on. Great communication, far enough away from the noise but close enough where everything is a 10 minute walk. The place was so clean and they even have a binder giving you East recommendations for grocery’s, food and drinks. Would highly recommend this place to anyone if they’re in NOLA.

    Cj2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend Kitty’s place. The location is ideal: easy and close walks to the Quarter, the Riverside, and multiple museums (the WWII Museum, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the various museums and places of interest in the Quarter. It is on the streetcar line, but parking was plentiful in the areas around the condo. As for the condo itself: so very clean and full of amenities. Also very stylish. Brad was quickly available to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

  • Great location and stylish, spacious loft! We considered staying near the FQ but glad to have stayed in this neighborhood instead. Quiet, nice part of town but still close to the action. Would stay again!

  • Really good size loft that is so cute and has everything you need!! Location to French quarter is not walkable but about $14 Uber ride (one way) and and hour cable cart ride. Host was very responsive and completely hands off- respecting privacy. We really enjoyed our stay

  • This loft was even cuter than depicted in the photos. Super clean and cozy in Uptown. I was able to Waitr some yummy food from Moe’s BBQ (a suggestion from the hosts House Rules manual) before the concert that I was in town for. It was a hassle free Lyft drive to the French Quarter. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

Located in the loft of an old furniture store with lots of brick, concrete beams and character! Super dark and quiet! It’s a rockstar loft without daylight or outside noise for the best sleep. Very LOWceilings too - tall folks may not be as comfortable. Private room in a shared warehouse with other guests
The space is a century old brick former furniture store converted into a guest house. There are 4 separate bed rooms with a communal living area. So it is a shared property. We are in a quiet neighborhood just north of The French Quarter right off the Canal Streetcar line. Whole Foods and the Lafitte Greenway bike trail are 3 blocks away!
I’ve lived in the neighborhood for several years and love the proximity to downtown and French Quarter. It’s centrally located and a quick Uber to any part of town. Intake the streetcar ($1.25) and Blue Bikes to get downtown!
  • i’m a 19 year old female and i traveled by myself to new orleans for spring break and Kj’s place was in the most convenient spot and i felt safe! A little sketchy area at first but the neighbors were nice and i was able to walk around by myself during the day (not so much at night). Street car is close and uber’s are very cheap! The whole building had the coolest style, everything is well put together and styled nice. The loft has very low ceilings, if you’re 5’6 you might hit your head. but it’s extremely cozy and it’s worth it because the bed is so nice and big! I will be staying again

    Jamie2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay for a short trip to New Orleans. Location is convenient as it’s close to a street car stop. Thanks for a great visit!

    Emily2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy space just as described. Nice location- short walk to the french quarter and a block away from street cars to take you to french quarter, art district, and garden district. As others mentioned, the ceilings were rather low and anyone taller than us (>5'8) might be uncomfortable. Also the bed is amazing. Would stay again!

    Kathleen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great short stay in this cozy loft. Check in was easy and coordination was great.

    Sam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it!!!!!! The absolute best decisions. Soooo cute!

    Noorulanne2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Sweet nook next to the VA/Medical Center. We walked back home along Canal St. from the French Quarter without issue, and the location will be even better once the Hard Rock Hotel gets cleared up. The room does not have any windows, so we got the treat of sleeping in after a long day of touring the city. (It would be ideal for nurses doing the night shift!) It was also very quiet. FYI, the ceilings are not very high and the beams on the ceiling require ducking around, so not the best spot for a really tall person, but I was fine at 5’10”.

    Rebecca2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

This is a rustic artsy shabby-chic historic home. You will have an apartment all to yourself. There is a living room and bathroom. There is no kitchen in this space—only a minifrig and microwave. ATTENTION: This space is for long-term (30+ day) rentals ONLY. We love hosting people and families in transition (moving out of/into/within New Orleans). We also enjoy accommodating people who are here for month-long work or travel trips. We want you to feel at home.
The space has a rustic artsy feel. This New Orleans, not HGTV. You will love the character and quirks of the home.
We are located in the St. Roch Art District. There are several galleries within walking distance of the apartment and great food nearby at the St. Roch Market.
  • This stay is unassumingly great. The location and living space are exactly as described. While the area may seem shady, there were no issues. Everyone minds their own business. I stayed here during my transition from out-of-state, relocating for work. It was exactly what my son and I needed—safety, security, and comfort. The bed is very comfortable and there is also a futon that is comfortable for sleeping as well. The close vicinity to the French Quarter was also helpful. Just know it can be noisy—there is a train that runs and blows its whistle at all hours of the night. The host, Jullien, was amazing and communicated perfectly. I had a couple of very minor issues upon arrival that he responded to and fixed promptly—even quicker than expected. His generosity and kindness was beyond measure. I would definitely recommend this stay.

    Victoria2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a comfortable and clean upstairs dormitory-like unit. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. The neighborhood is borderline, so we walked as a group or used Lyft at night. This rental met all of my needs for an economical place to rent bordering on the French quarter. Jullien communicated well, and the rental is as advertised. I would be happy to stay here again.

    Jonathan2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • wanted to thank our hosts, we had a great stay, house very easy to find, great location... only a 20 min walk down well lit streets from the heart of the French quarter, also very close to the streetcars and St Roch market and other shopping, the location felt safe and secure. A big plus -> The beds were very comfortable and i must mention so were the pillows, makes for a good sleep!

  • We had a great stay at this beautiful loft in New Orleans! The loft was spacious, clean, and felt like home. We had no problems with the home, and had an overall great stay! Although nervous about the location, we did not have any problems. We would definitely stay here again!

    Megan2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jullien’s loft is great for traveling with friends or multiple travelers. Very clean and attentive. The neighborhood is optimally locates for you to experience all that NOLA has to offer.

    Mayra2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Jullien were very nice, they put up with our comings and goings at all hours of the day and night during Mardi Gras. For a loft it’s actually quite spacious and stylish and the beds were comfy. We hope to stay with them again!

    Elena2019-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give 6 stars I would, that’s how amazing this place is! First off, the location is amazing. It’s right by a super cute indoor market thing and within walking distance of the French Quarter and a ton of cool stuff. Secondly, the space was huge and super nice, and the beds were so comfy. Third, one of the days we were there, they had to do some work in the AC, and not only was Jullien super apologetic and checked in several times with us, but he bought us breakfast that day too! If you are looking for a cute and affordable spot that’s easy to get to from most places, couldn’t recommend this more!

  • My husband and I had a great stay at the beginning of Mardi Gras. The location is great- close enough to walk to everything (parades, French Quarter, Garden District, Bourbon Street, etc.) but just far enough away that is was relatively quiet. The space is clean and bright, just like the pictures. The host is super responsive, offered many tips and was available to answer questions. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Too bad I can only give this place 5-stars! This place isn't just gorgeous, it was spotless, in a great location, and gorgeous (oh, I already said that!). I visited New Orleans for the first time to run the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. When I chose not to walk, UBERing was super easy. The building is safe and other tenants are friendly. Brad, Elizabeth's Co-host, answered all of my questions with such care. He is very responsive and knowledgeable. He recommended True Food Kitchen and it did not disappoint. The bed was so comfortable and cable TV options were great. Place had everything you could ask for! I will stay there again, as soon as I get the chance! Thank you, Elizabeth! Thank you, Brad!

  • A dreamy, spacious attic that somehow sleeps 5 without feeling the least bit cramped. Phoebe has wonderful taste in furnishings. The place is stocked with helpful books and brochures and Phoebe is just a text away if you need directions or a recommendation. The location is very close to a number of wonderful neighborhoods, and the more touristy parts of New Orleans are easy to reach.

    Robin2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful space in a nice location.

    Sharon2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Unbeatable location for a distinctly New Orleans experience. Easy Uber or Streetcar/Bus ride to the French Quarter — without being in all the noise and bustle of the Quarter. Walkable, friendly neighborhood. Awesome backyard and patio. And Phoebe is extremely responsive and helpful. I took my 10-year-old son to NOLA for his first Saints game, and this was the PERFECT place. We hope to be back next season!

    Jeremy2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was perfect for our family of 4. Phoebe was easy to communicate with, and very attentive. She accommodated our very late arrival, and even had pastries waiting for us to enjoy in the morning.

License number: 17STR-10077 Located in the heart of the Lower Garden District. Close to coffee shops (Hivolt, Mojo, District, PJ's), restaurants (Lilly's, Juan's Flying Burrito, Surrey's and local breweries (Courtyard Brewery, Avenue Pub). Surrounded by historic architecture and walking tours of the Garden District. It is a comfortable walk to the WWII museum. You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings, the views, the location, and the ambiance. My place is ideal for couples.
13 ft high Ceilings. 10 ft high openings. Original refinished heart pine flooring. Great balcony overlooking Sophie Wright Park and Magazine Street.
Staying at this property is a wonderful way to experience the city as a local while being in close proximity to many great sights, restaurants and cultural institutions. As an architect, I have enjoyed living on the edge of the Magazine Street shopping corridor and the historic homes surrounding Coliseum Square Park for the past 20+ years. The property is in the middle of a 4 block continuous corridor of mid-19th century 2 story masonry buildings with cast iron galleries unique to the city. The residential neighborhood of the Lower Garden District is a vibrant eclectic community full of historic homes that are awe inspiring. We are centrally located between the Warehouse District/French Quarter and other Uptown neighborhoods with many walking tours available. The streetcar line is only 4 blocks away which I recommend taking uptown to experience our architecture along St Charles Avenue. The property has high speed internet and a HD Flatscreen with HD cable.
  • This was our second time staying at Calvin's place in New Orleans, and it was just as great as the first. I'm sure we'll be back again for a third. It's a great space in an amazing location.

    Aaron2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This spotlessly clean, comfortable loft apartment provided us with the best Airbnb experience ever. We love the charming neighborhood with its historic architecture and many interesting shops, bars and dining options but the best part was just chilling on the balcony overlooking the exciting street scene. The comfortable bed is set back from the front of the loft to allow for a quiet, relaxing night’s sleep. The high windows fill the space with light and the excellent heat/ac unit maintains a perfect balance for the weather fluctuations we experienced. Calvin made us feel at home and was an outstanding host. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

    Bill2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and stylish, and Calvin was quick to get back to us when we had questions or requests. Location is super convenient and walkable to great shopping and restaurants, and far enough downtown to be a quick drive to museums, even the marigny and bywater. Highly recommend!

    Susan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. Clean and an excellent location! We really enjoyed ourselves.

    Mary2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The location was very convenient and the lodging was clean, comfortable, and had a great deal of old world charm. We especially loved having access to the balcony. I would stay here again and highly recommend Calvin as a host!

    Linda2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Calvin was a wonderful host and very helpful anytime we had a question or needed any suggestions for things to do or places to eat. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. Check in was a breeze! Very beautiful studio style apartment with tall ceilings and windows (and balcony!) in an AMAZING part of town, about a 10 minute cab ride in any direction to most places worth seeing (Uptown/Carrolton, Central Business District, French Quarter). However, you could easily just stay in the Lower Garden District and walk down Magazine Street and have plenty of shopping, eating, and night life options....absolutely beautiful part of the city! We come to New Orleans at least once a year and this was by far our favorite Airbnb yet! We would love to book another stay at Calvin's place in the future! Thank you so much, Calvin!

    Robert2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean and nicely decorated loft in lower garden district with nice porch to drink coffee. Walking distance from several shops/restaurants/bars and close to magazine street. Would definitely stay again.

Charlz is very accommodating and it was nice to have our own private space in the guest house. We were able to bring our pup along and enjoy our first trip to New Orleans! Could only imagine how amazing it would be if it were pool weather!

Coolest/safest funky elegant pad in New Orleans . 1300 sq. ft. Small warehouse art studio style loft. In the heart of the District 50 feet from Cochon and around the corner from "The Howling Wolf". Live and think like an artist
This is exactly where you want to be. Super safe and walking distance to the best restaurants WW 2 and Ogden Museums . Music and street cars.
  • Fred's place is great! Great location. I'm an Airbnb host, and I'm annoyed to see a couple of his low reviews. They are simply off the mark. First off, the price he's offering is amazing. And is clearly priced right for what the loft is. Right in the middle of the CBD. It is an old building...which is what makes it great! So unique. Perfect for our stay.

  • Great location and fun place to stay! I loved all the quirky and retro decor. Fredric was very quick at responding to all of my questions. My friends and I greatly enjoyed staying here!

  • Great place to stay, very close to the convention center!

    Nicolas2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! Very spacious loft exactly as advertised. The funky decor and exposed brick made it feel very cool and wonderfully eclectic. The location is in the heart of the warehouse district which was perfect. The surrounding blocks offered awesome restaurants and shops and you can't beat $6 uber ride to the French Quarter. Would definitely stay here again.

  • This place was perfect for my needs. Fits the atmosphere of the district. A few worthwhile restaurants within close walking distance making my temporary stay in Louisiana a breeze.

    FREDERICK2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cool Location, very convenient for me as I was participating a Convention (3 Minute walk); the loft is very spacious, has all you need and it is in a very cool neighborhood with a couple of restaurants worth visiting within a 1-5 min reach. I felt safe and enjoyed my stay lot. Hosts were very accomoting, too. Easy peasy. Thanks Frederic

The newly remodeled penthouse located on the top floor of the Swoop-Duggins House may be the most accurate representation of how modern design can exist in harmony with a truly historic architectural gem. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and outfitted with 2 private outdoor spaces, a stay in our penthouse located above CellarDoor, our arts themed bistro and tavern on the 1st floor, may just be the standout highlight of all your time spent in New Orleans.
The Penthouse loft on the top floor of the Swoop-Duggins House is truly a unique space. It's the only residence in the building (which we own), and my wife and I have spent the better part of 10 years restoring this beautiful piece of New Orleans architectural history. The loft is decorated with modern art from all over the world, including paintings, prints, photography, and sculpture. Natural light absolutely floods this place during the day! You are located 2 floors above our restaurant, CellarDoor, and 1 floor above the our events space. The sound proofing is excellent, but if there is an event on the 2nd floor (which takes place roughly once every 1.5 weeks), you'll likely hear some light chatter. It's never bothered us when we lived here with our son who was between 1 and 3 at the time. The neighborhood is filled with wonderful coffee shops, restaurants and stores, and is located just about 3 blocks from the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, and about 7 blocks from both the French Quarter and the Convention Center. The neighborhood has just the right about of buzz and foot traffic.. not too much, but enough to know you're definitely downtown. The Swoop-Duggins House (916 Lafayette Street) is located in part of the Upper Central Business District's Historic District, as well as the local Lafayette Square Historic District. At the end of the eighteenth century, the boundaries of New Orleans expanded upriver from the Vieux Carré (French Quarter) when the land owned by Don Bertrand and Madame Gravier was divided into streets and city blocks by the Spanish Royal Surveyor, Carlos Trudeau. The Swoop-Duggins House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Upper Central Business District Historic District on August 10, 1990, and was most likely built around or before 1830. The house is a restored three-story, three-bay, brick house with an attached two-story service wing; the loft is on the top floor and has its own private entrance.
The neighborhood is incredible; downtown New Orleans is truly the most burgeoning neighborhood in the whole city. Enjoy free concerts in beautiful Lafayette Square Park just three blocks away, every Wednesday from Sept. 11 - Oct 30th and March - May. You are in walking distance to the Superdome, the French Quarter, Harrah's Casino, and The Riverwalk. A few of my favorite restaurants/bars in walking distance are of course, CellarDoor (which is on the 1st floor; just take the alleyway entrance), Juan's Flying Burrito, and Johnny Sanchez. Additionally, the nicest grocery store in the city is just a block away at the corner of Girod St and Baronne St. The newly restored Civc Theater has just partnered with Bowery Presents, and has tons of great concerts all year long just a block away.
  • I’m quite certain that we couldn’t have found a better place to stay in New Orleans. This place is absolutely stunning, spacious and in such an amazingly cool building. The location couldn’t be better (super central without being right in the action), there’s an amazing grocery store seconds away and the restaurant downstairs is just outstanding. Greg and Rachel were wonderful and responsive, and John (who works at the restaurant and who let us in) was extremely helpful too! We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend the Swoop-Duggins house to anyone visiting New Orleans!

    Anita2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in New Orleans for a business trip and to spend some vacation days with our family. The apartment was perfect for us: the location is very central, there are many nice restaurants and bars around (the one below the apartment is marvelous!) and there is also a Whole Foods supermarket just a block away. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and fully equipped with anything you could want for (a big kitchen with dish washer, TV including an Apple TV, a washing machine and dryer, ...). And last but not least, there is a wonderful balcony in the front and an extremely beautiful deck in the back with a great view at the urban surroundings. All in all, we can definitely recommend staying at Greg and Emily’s.

  • Thank you very much for a safe and comfortable place to stay well in NOLA. We enjoyed our time cert much. It was as it was shown

  • Great place with everything you would need to say for a while. Front balcony was very nice and had a great breeze. Rouse's supermarket is a block away and is a fantastic local grocery store. Location made it easy to walk all over.

  • Greg and Rachel's home was a brilliant base for exploring New Orleans. Communication was excellent and Greg was super helpful with recommendations. The property is extremely cool, on top of a great restaurant bar (but no issues with noise) and we loved having breakfast out on the balcony. We felt extremely welcomed and would highly recommend this home!

    Tahli2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. From the second we walked in the staff was very friendly and professional. They showed us to the Apartment on the 3rd floor, which encompassed the historic New Orleans charm, with updated features. The kitchen is fully stocked and the balcony is beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique New Orleans experience.

  • The space is fantastic! The neighborhood is very nice and there is plenty within walking distance. The trolley isn’t too far of a walk if you wanted to take that around but we also never had to Uber anywhere more than 10 minutes. Heather gives you a TON of suggestions that were all excellent. It was also our first time in New Orleans so they were all greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay there again.

  • The host was quick to respond to my inquiries once it got closer to vacation time. I also appreciated all the suggestions and recommendations she gave me. I never realized just how close we were going to be to restaurants, shops, the FQ, Fairgrounds (right in the backyard almost), CBD/Storyville, and the drive even to Tulane and the zoo wasn’t far from where we were. We loved the location, everything was clean, and we had a very awesome experience! All the amenities listed were there, the loft was cozy, the neighborhood was quiet but active, parking was never an issue, and it’s situated perfectly when traveling to different areas inside and outside of NOLA. We’d definitely stay again!

  • This is a very cute, clean, and excellent place to stay for your time in New Orleans! Even better that it's walking distance from City Park, making it very easy to get to if you're there for an event. It's about a mile to the French Quarter, and is overall very well situated. Heidi/Heather were amazing hosts, quick to respond with a lot of great tips and information. I highly recommend this place for your stay in a great city.

  • Clean and cozy; it was really perfect for 2 people. The neighborhood is lovely, and Heidi/Heather give wonderful suggestions for places close by. A bit of a trek to the French Quarter, but Metro accessible. Perfect if you’re looking for a quiet space to come back to.

  • First timers in New Orleans and our stay at Heidi / Heather's far surpassed our expectations. Clean, extremely private, well equipped, very comfortable bed and in a really good, beautiful and safe neighbourhood. Bus stop / Street Car into French Quarter / Garden District and surrounds are a 2 min walk away to access transport which we used even at night with our 3 day unlimited passes to save on Uber fare.. Neighbourhood has lovely restaurants and a good, convenient grocer down the road. We stayed for 3 days and nights and we enjoyed every minute. Very highly recommended. We loved it. Excellent value for money and a must stay for visitors.

  • Adorable, cozy, perfect! Outside setup is spacious and just right. I love that the property is fenced in ALL the way around. This allowed me to enjoy the beautiful weather without having to leave my dog inside. Plenty of yard! Beds are unique in style and extremely comfortable! Cute, clean, functional kitchen. *Side note- the freezer is awesome and keeps items very cold. Very quickly cooled my bottled drink (it’s the little things!)* Loved the floors. Upstairs layout is awesome! Perfect communication; very kind and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning :-)

  • Del’s space is very inviting. I’ve traveled numerous times to New Orleans with Airbnb and I always say please tell me that’s not where I’m staying. Lol it’s always the same a nice house and then a rundown house. Del’s house was super cool looking & the cottage was cozy. We walked a lot even in the evening and felt safe. So close to everything we needed. I was there because I had surgery and I liked the fact that all the amenities were on the first floor so I didn’t have to go up stairs. There is a bed on top floor, it’s a loft. I enjoyed the location.

Lovely space for rent in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny. 1000sq ftopen floor plan with sweeping views of the city. 4th floor walk up- loft with private bathroom. Within walking to both the Bywater and French Quarter. There is not a kitchen.
This is a great open space for being relaxed and out of the hub of the French Quarter. There is lots of natural light and beautiful views over the neighborhood.
Faubourg Marigny is one of the most colorful neighborhoods in New Orleans, the architecture borrows heavily from the colonial French and Spanish and has elements of the Caribbean, this unique blending of architectural elements over the last three centuries has resulted in an architectural style unique to the city of New Orleans.
  • Incredible location in a great (and quiet) part of town. Kate was super easy to work with and gave great recommendations. Had breakfast 4 days in a row at the amazing coffee/bagel shop next door, Small Mart - highly recommended!

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cool little artsy spot. The loft is at the very top and is actually quite spacious, but there is only one true bed. I greatly enjoyed my stay at Kate's and highly recommended if you do not mind walking. (up 4 flights of stairs and about 12-20min walk to Frenchmen/Bourbon st). Thank you Kate!

    Daniel2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay. The loft is nice--the stairs are shallow, so if you have larger feet be careful. Also the shower is amazing. The location is nice, it is a relatively quiet area even during mardi gras season.

    Katrina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space is great! We liked the neighborhood and really enjoyed our stay.

    Alex2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great 4th floor loft with wonderful view of the Mississippi and downtown. Within walking distance of plenty of local eats as well as the French quarter. Kate had many lots of suggestions for sights/eats and was a great host!

    Niklas2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • After your enter the atrium of the building and climb a set of more newly built and then original stairs to the 4th floor you reach an old wooden door without a lock which is essentially the entrance to what was likely an attic. As you open the door you find a pleasantly surprising large room with a full size bed, mini fridge, desk, couch and on-suite bathroom. Additionally there is central heating and air with your own thermostat and beautiful views of the city and Mississippi River. The pictures of the bathroom don't do it justice. The flooring is heated and the shower is a large walk in space with a rainfall spout above. This was a gem in a quiet and hip neighborhood within a brisk walk towards Frenchman St or the French Quarter. Moreover, there were great other hangouts in the Bywater that I would have recommended exploring as well. Keeping my fingers crossed with the hope that Kate's studio will be available during my next trip to NOLA.

    Joey2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Kate’s place. The space is much better than the pictures. It is updated, lots of room, and has the unique style you would want when coming to New Orleans. It was a bit farther from the French Quarter than anticipated, but was just a quick 5 min. Uber ride. Will definitely be staying here again.

    Lauren2019-10-20T00:00:00Z

One of the most exquisite loft apartments with a HUGE Rooftop Terrace in the heart of New Orleans. A short walk to Bourbon St. Top notch location, very safe neighborhood, exceptionally comfortable king size bed, luxury linens, Keurig and convection oven, high-end furnishing, luxurious amenities, a mural inside the apartment, and walkable to all of the best attractions in Nola. Also features one-of-a-kind amazing artwork from some of New Orleans' finest artists. Steps away from the Street Car.
A very spacious one-bedroom loft apartment with a huge rooftop deck. Mardi Gras parades pass directly alongside the rooftop deck. Instead of “Throw me something Mister” tell the Mardi Gras Krewes “Hand me something Mister!” Located in the trendy neighborhood of Marigny, the streetcar is directly across the street, a short 3 block walk to the French Quarters, a short walk to Louis Armstrong Park, Washington Square, Jackson Square, The French Market, Cafe du Monde, Esplanade St, Frenchman St. clubs and bars, New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum, Congo Square, New Orleans Jazz Museum. Pretty much everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, Street Car, bike-share, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. The Street Car rail stop is only 5 steps from the front door of apartment. It is a perfect spot for Festival Season or any other time you are visiting since we are just a 15 minute stroll into the French Quarter on foot and 5 minutes by bike. Located on the Mardi Gras parade route, we are closest to Frenchman street and we are right in the heart of the popular Marigny and Bywater area filled with great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. PARKING: A private reserved 8-car parking lot. As well as easy on street parking, no meters, no time restrictions and always spaces available on my block. *Please note the apartment does not have a full kitchen. There is a convection/microwave oven that can cook anything from oatmeal to a raw steak, but there is not an actual cooktop stove. The apartment does have a full size refrigerator and sink.
The Marigny is an eclectic and bohemian musicians and artists community just outside the French Quarter. This is a safe and walkable neighborhood with lots of unusual bars, thrift stores, music, dining, and coffee shops in the area that the locals enjoy. Located a few steps away from Frenchman Street, which is the best street for enjoying the local jazz scene of New Orleans as well as St. Claude Ave which is an up and coming street with art galleries/bars and vaudeville/circus nexus of the city.
  • Super convenient location off the French Quarter and loved the roof top balcony, especially at night under the lights! Walgreens and a grocery across the street in either direction an added bonus as well. Would definitely recommend!

  • We're so glad we booked John's place for our NOLA stay. Great location, beautiful space, reasonable price, comfortable bed. We were sad that it was cool and rainy our whole stay, because the patio was a nice space to hang out (and there's a hammock!). Do know that if you're planning on using the streetcar to get around, it's currently closed on this end due to the Hard Rock Cafe building collapse. There are buses that are running, but no pretty streetcar pulling up every 20 minutes. So if that's important to you, check the NORTA website before you pick a place!

  • John's place was wonderful to stay at! The place was very clean, very comfy, and very stylish! It is also right outside a streetcar stop, which is very convenient for transportation (just make sure it's working, since recent construction downtown caused some changes to the streetcar schedules). Otherwise, the stay was perfect!

  • In a word “Perfect” better than described!

    Bill2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The hosts arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us straight to the building. The accommodations were well-appointed and we appreciated all the special touches, like toiletries and kitchen supplies. The only time we heard other building occupants was when people were going to or fro from work in the mornings and late afternoon. The apartment is located in a very safe neighborhood that is within easy walking distance of the French quarter. That being said, there are so many things to do in the same neighborhood that we hardly spent any time in the French Quarter, save for breakfast at the Oceana Grill. For transportation we purchased daily bus passes for $3/day - all the major bus lines are down the street on Canal Street. We took the bus and cable cars to the Garden District to see the historic homes on St Charles Ave and visited the WWII Museum. We also took the riverfront cable car to Frenchman St on the east side of the French Quarter to see some bands. We loved our first visit to New Orleans and are grateful to our hosts for providing their apartment for our stay.

Located on the St. Charles Streetcar line, this home is just two blocks from the intersection of Canal and Bourbon streets in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Designed to have a modern feel in an important historic building, this unit is walking distance to everything in the French Quarter, Warehouse District and Central Business District — and located directly on the streetcar line that can take you just about everywhere else. Plus, there's a roof deck and a gym! Permit #17STR-06762
This apartment is as close as you can get to the French Quarter while still being able to maintain peace and quiet while you are trying to sleep. There is also a fantastic roof deck! Our home is walking distance from world-renowned restaurants, Mardi-Gras parade routes, The Riverwalk, and tourist attractions such as Bourbon St., Jackson Square and The French Market. Guests are only 5 blocks from the Mercedes Benz Superdome and Arena, and 6 blocks from Harrah's Casino. Take a short uber/taxi ride to The Convention Center. This location beats any place we've ever stayed in NOLA. It is so central whether you are there for a convention, for a concert, a game, or to party on Bourbon. You are in the safest place with the cleanest street, and only steps away from the action! When you walk in to this modern loft, you will be greeted by tall windows across the entire back of the condo. Immediately to your right will be the first queen bedroom, that has access to the hall full bath. This room has two locking doors for the most privacy in the condo. Further down the hall, you will find the living area, with mid-century furniture, large LED television, and an open concept kitchen. Adjacent to the living area is the other two bedroom, one king. The king bedroom has access to another full bath. This bedroom off the living area are separated by sliding, translucent walls that can close off or open up, according to your preference Each room has its own large LED television, and all lights, including lamps, can be controlled with the wall switch. This two bedroom unit sleeps 4 adults comfortably. With so much open space and yet so much privacy, you are sure to enjoy this condo experience with friends and family. beta
Union Lofts is located in the "CBD" or Central Business District. Two blocks away is Canal St. Once you cross Canal, what was once Carondelet St. is now Bourbon St. You are that close! So enjoy the clean, quiet street of your condo, yet just a few blocks away you can enjoy the party vibe of Bourbon St., and/or dine at any of the fantastic French Quarter restaurants. If you wish to venture further than walking distance, I highly recommend using Uber or the St. Charles streetcar that runs in front of the condo during the day.
  • Great space! Walking distance from everywhere. Clean and stylish place!

    Carolynn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and value for our stay in NoLa. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go so having to park at a garage nearby was not an issue, most hotels charge for parking anyway. The guys were very quick and responsive to our questions about the place. Would definitely recommend.
