Places to stay in New Orleans

Places to stay in New Orleans
A relaxing home in the Treme area.
It also has double winding stair cases with an Angel Cloud mural ceiling that leads to the second and third floors. The common area has two six-foot water fountains, two fire places, plants and artwork. This area promotes a calm relaxing atmosphere to plan your day or simply relax.
The home is located six blocks from the French Quarter, three blocks from Louis Armstrong Park, and lots of restaurant, live entertainment.
  • Magnificent house with beautiful rooms and all the necessary comfort. Well located in relation to the districts of Trémé and the French Quarter, you can do everything on foot but provide sneakers! The street does not look like much but it is very quiet and the neighborhood very nice. It was difficult to communicate with our host because the US accent is difficult to understand, we would have liked to enjoy our stay more but in the midst of a Coronavirus epidemic we had to return quickly!

  • Wow, what a beautiful home. I had so much more privacy than I had expected and it was in a GREAT location. Coffee shop right on the way to Luis Armstrong park and the French Quarter. Also close to great local food spots - just ask at the coffee shop. I loved that there was water available for us in the fridge and the calm sound of the waterfall. I stayed in the room the third floor, which was a little scary because I'm afraid of heights. But, I think I successfully conquered my fear! The bed was so comfortable and I was excited that there was a bathtub in my room!!! It was so easy to find for the Uber drivers at night because she keeps it all lit up. As a woman travelling alone, I felt very safe at Gwen's house. I would definitely stay again!!!

  • I like the theme’s to each of the rooms, I very much enjoyed my first time experiencing Mardi Gras is was very much one to remember! Gwendolyn is super nice and the details of the home are exquisite and private, which I adore. Would stay here again in the future! <3

  • A wonderful place to stay and great location. Way better than your typical bland hotel. Tons of personality and very unique. I loved it ❤️

    Sara2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house location is perfect, your about 5-10 minutes away from everything downtown. There are endless things to do during the day time. Gwendolyn has great hospitality and a beautiful home. Very nice and sweet.

    Savannah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! Easy self check-in, great location, gorgeous decor in the lobby. We were not anticipating a spiral staircase to get into our room — don’t let it deter you from staying in this lovely spot, but it was a surprise for us so thought I’d share with future guests.

    Vanessa2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gwendolyn's place is a wonderful place to stay if your looking for a spot close to the action at an affordable price. The home is quirky and has fun decor. The host is a sweet woman and she is easy to talk to. As other reviewers mentioned, the area is slightly sketchy but as long as you keep your wits about you, it's perfectly fine. We walked most days in the morning over to the French quarter and late at night we ubered back. I felt safe doing so. The shower is also as other reviews mentioned. There's no room to stand up. You have to sit and face backwards in the shower in order to get your hair clean. But honestly it wasn't that big of a deal. Only thing is I wish there was a better curtains between the main sleeping area and the bathroom. There is little privacy if one needs to.... "Use" the bathroom. However, I do recommend this place to anyone who is looking to spend time in NOLA and not a lot of time in your room. It's a great place to set up base and enjoy the culture.

    Grace2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t read into the bad reviews. This place is an amazing quirky attic room in a wonderful building. The location is unbeatable for the price and it certainly is a unique NOLA experience. The room has tons of space, slanting ceilings and a nice comfy bed. I highly recommend this for the solo or couple travelers.

  • Lynn’s place is perfect! It’s so cute and comfortable. We loved being within walking distance of basically everything! He was so welcoming, and had great tips for the area.

    Michelle2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just had an amazing overall experience and stay. The rooms are very well equipped and kept clean, even got new towels and bed made up each day. There were also snacks and self-serve breakfast items available all throughout the day. Would definitely stay there in the future again.

    Jenny2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn and Matthew's place is in a wonderful location. The place itself is really great as well. We didn't get to use the backyard space because of the weather but it seemed very cozy. There are so many detailed touches that make the room and space feel very homey. Matthew greeted is as soon as we arrived and have us a bunch of tips. Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful stay!

    Mihir2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place and right by the French Quarter. Affordable, very Clean, Private. The Hosts were super attentive and quick to communicate back. I will be staying there from now on when I return to NOLA. Highly recommend!!

    Katia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a delightful set up in a house from the 1800's with a clean, well decorated, and spacious room and private bath. Four such separate rooms open into a huge common room with table, chairs, couches , and a well stocked kitchen with breakfast and snack items available all day. There are little amenities everywhere - these guys have thought of everything! A drawer of electrical cords baled me out when my phone charger suddenly died. The private backyard is a beautiful and peaceful area. It is 2 blocks from Frenchman St, which is a wonderful street to explore. And the French Quarter is close. It was much more than we expected, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

    Diane2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great location. Only a couple blocks from French Quarter, so easy to get around, but also quiet at night as it is far enough away from all the late night shenanigans. The place was cleaned everyday. They have a stocked fridge in case you are hungry anytime of the day for you. I would definitely come back whenever I am in New Orleans.

    Vincent2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay here - the guest house was perfect: fantastic location, a lovely room, and Lynn had thought of everything - from the fabulous help yourself breakfast to umbrellas to borrow by the door, it couldn’t have been better!

  • I was in town for a workshop and Joe’s place was the perfect location for walk-ability, which is my preferred way of experiencing New Orleans. Joe and Federico are gracious hosts and having breakfast included was ideal for me.

    Evan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! We were able to walk to pretty much everything we wanted to see from there. They are rated Superhosts and I can easily see why. They pretty much have covered all bases with what you need.

The location is conveniently located in the historic centre, hence you can walk to the French Quarter. Breakfast are fabulous, fresh fruit, and home made bread , scrambled eggs and yogurt . Federico really cares about making sure that you are well fed( so hospitable). Joe is the perfect host ensuring that you set up for your travel with maps and lots of tips. Thank you for making New Orleans even more special. I was travelling alone , but staying here I felt like I was with family . Highly recommendable.

  • A true bed and breakfast, very charming and bursting with classic NOLA style. A great location to explore Frenchmen’s Street or walk a bit to the French Quarter. The sweetly decorated backyard and hot tub were a definite bonus. We loved it! Highly recommend.

  • Such amazing hospitality from Joe and Federico. Close to some great places to eat and shop at the French market. Very safe area and not noisy at all. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Great breakfast in the morning whatever time is best for you.

Cozy Room with Large Private Balcony! A retired Chef and her husband offer a private room on the second story of their historic property. Queen bed, private French doors to large balcony, TV, WiFi, parking and fresh, hot breakfast.
Casa Pelican B&B and Cooking School welcomes our guests (or other visitors to New Orleans) to also book a cooking class with us. Check out our Cooking School listing at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/8607025 and inquire about our class calendar.
Algiers Point is the small, historic community (established in 1719) directly across the Mississippi river from the French Quarter. Largely residential, the architecture is classically New Orleans with Greek Revivals and Antebellums to adorable and brightly colored Shot Guns. It is extraordinarily quiet and safe, yet still boasts one of the city's best local pubs (with free, live music every night!) just 3 blocks away.
  • Karen is full of knowledge and suggestions for the area. Her culinary expertise is expressed in every breakfast. We highly recommend staying here.

    Cindy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place will immediately throw you into the theme of New Orleans. Bright, pastel colors, beautiful traditional architecture and design, and an appreciation for the old and the new. You’ll find Karen to be a wonderful host, and Pork the dog is a fantastic dog who loves belly scratches. The OJ in the decanter at breakfast was the cherry on top. Keep in mind the stairs are a little steep. If I find myself in the Crescent City again, I’ll be sure to check the availability at this location.

    Corey2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Staying there made my birthday trip. I only wish I could leave more stars! Not only was it the perfect location, but the wrap around baloney was only surpassed by the overwhelming feeling of being welcomed, it made our stay feel like a home away from home. I already miss the wonderful smell of blooming fruit flowers wonderfully cooked food, and pork (my puppy away from my puppy). Staying here was the highlight of my entire trip!

    Bianca2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is full of character with a comfy bed and gorgeous wraparound balcony. The breakfasts were out of this world, and Karen is a gregarious host with tons of recommendations - especially foody ones! - and is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city. Algiers Point is a interesting, low-key place to stay for a few nights, it's a pretty neighbourhood about half an hour or so by ferry to the French Quarter (or a shortish uber ride). You need the right change for the ferry!

    Georgia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • if you are ever in the new orleans area go to casa pelican you cant go wrong. the food & hospitality are great. i strongly recommend this location. this is a location we will return to.

    Lesley2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Casa Pelican is a sweet escape from the busier parts of NOLA. We loved Algiers and riding the ferry is very fun. The breakfasts in the morning were fabulous and long lasting. Karen gave us many great suggestions for our time visiting. We also took one of her cooking classes and had a total blast. Such wonderful memories thanks to this amazing find.

    Christa2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This one hands down one of my most memorable trips, a large part was in thanks to our stay with Karen. It was our first time in New Orleans and I was genuinely expecting a party town, but it's truly much more. Staying with Karen and getting to chat with her over great homemade breakfast was amazing to get a lay of the land, but also the view of NOLA from a local's perspective. We were lucky enough to catch her walking in the Mardi Gras parade that weekend! The house is so adorable, clean and a great place to stay. Like reviews before, this is across the river (we took the ferry or Lyft). We really enjoyed it because it was away from the zaniness of the French Quarter. We're already planning our second trip and hoping we can stay with Karen again!

    Jacqueline2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Breakfast with Karen and the other guests in the house was really nice, with great food and fun conversation. The bed was really comfy and the porch off the bedroom was nice. Very quiet part of town but still easy to get to the French quarter via the ferry nearby.

  • Penelope’s place was great and we felt like royalty in the spacious room. The double head shower and soaking tub were amazing and the balcony and front porch were both great for lounging and people watching. This is truly one of the most beautiful little homes in the area, and exactly as described.

    Misty2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Penelope's place was gorgeous. We had an amazing time. The pictures do not do the place justice. It was much bigger, brighter, and beautiful than can be captured on photo. The location is great. We were able to walk to all major destinations. She also has special items for babies which we needed. Her responses were timely and the place was clean. We hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks for everything Penelope!

  • As a super host myself, I must tell you this immaculate home is exactly that - truly a home. We marveled at the architectural detail, not to mention the artwork and stained glass. Our upstairs suite was very spacious and private with a comfy bed, a huge bathroom with bright white towels, a cozy dinette with several amenities and a balcony. The common areas were quite comfortable with a warm and inviting ambiance. I highly recommend this property!

Book a private room at the Sully Mansion, a nine-bedroom bed & breakfast. There are three rooms on the first floor and six on the second floor. We have designed each room of the mansion with an eye for modern convenience, while retaining the grace of its origin. In addition to the guest rooms, there are many inviting spaces to congregate, both inside and outside of the inn. We want you to feel at home and relish in the experience of living like a local here in New Orleans.
The Desire is the Sully Mansion’s smallest and most intimate room, perfect for the single traveler eager to explore the riches of the Crescent City. Tucked away on the second floor, the Desire is everything a guest looks for in a comfortable stay. Please note that this is a very small room with a double sized bed. We recommend only sleeping one traveler comfortably in this room.
The Sully Mansion is tucked in the middle of the New Orleans Garden District. Best known for its jaw dropping mansions, ornate iron work, wrap-around porches, and lush gardens, the Garden District provides a front seat to the cultural and architectural history of New Orleans. We’re just one block from the St. Charles Ave. parade and streetcar routes, and four blocks from the antique shops, restaurants and bars on Magazine Street. Step away from the hustle of the French Quarter and experience authentic New Orleans in the Garden District with a stay at the Sully Mansion.
  • Sully Mansion went above and beyond my already high expectations. The house is beautiful, with its decadent history and modern care. But what set the place apart was the hospitality given! Melinda made staying at the Sully a 5 Star hotel experience; you are given an afternoon cocktail (Sazerac!), an incredible breakfast, concierge service, and local tips catered to your interests! The rooms are lovely, and the lighting (as an artist who cares very much about that) is perfect. Definitely will stay again!

    Erin2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sully Mansion is outstanding. It’s close to the street car directly to the French quarter. Breakfast is amazing. If you let Melinda know about an early flight she will pack you a go bag of quick eats for the airport. I loved every minute at Sully Mansion. There are several historical houses close by. Sully Mansion is one too. It was quiet, close to public transport, and had the best amenities. Melinda and the rest of the staff are warm and very helpful. Melinda helped with local spot recommendations. I can’t wait to stay again.

    Tolu2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • It is a good place to live. It is quite and comfortable.

    Hao2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite Airbnb to date! The entire space has been thoughtfully restored for modern day comfort, yet boasts plenty of original charm. My stay was super short, but I had some time to wind down on the porch with cup of tea. This ended up being one of the highlights of my trip! I hope to pay Sully another (hopefully longer) visit in the future. Thanks!

    Angela2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Sully Mansion was nothing short of fantastic. It was extremely clean and the amenities were wonderful. Melinda was a phenomenal host and provided great local recommendations. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, cozy and all around amazing place to rest and recharge while in New Orleans!

    Andi2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, safe and desirable area. Lots of street parking and amazing host!

    Adam2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Sully Mansion is in a stunning location of the Garden District. It truly is an elegant Mansion that transports you back in time. The breakfast was amazing and delicious...especially the sticky buns! I feel very lucky to have gotten to stay here and I've fallen in love with New Orleans thanks to the Sully Mansions thoughtful hospitality. I plan to return to New Orleans at least once a year and I hope to stay at the Sully Mansion again if there's availability! It's conveniently located near the trolley and The Commander's Palace.

This private room is located on the first floor of a historic home built in 1855. It can comfortably accommodate two people and has a private bathroom with spa tub .
You will truly enjoy this historic neighborhood. Tremé is a very culturally influential neighborhood in New Orleans. This area offers a various amount of restaurants , museums, and local entertainment. It's a light walk to the French Quarter and Congo Square.
  • Kayla's place was absolutely amazing! After driving nine hours to New Orleans, we were given the warmest welcome by Grandma Truedell and two friendly poodles. The room was gorgeous and clean, and in a spectacular home. The location was perfect for our needs: peaceful at night and still a 15-20 minute walk to the French Quarter. I would absolutely stay here if I visit the city again!!

We are close to District Donuts, Commander's Palace, Tracey's Bar, plus over 30 more restaurants and bars you can walk to. Lots and lots of shops. On Magazine bus line to French Quarter or walk to St Charles for Streetcar. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood. Take a self guided walk in the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
On 2nd floor (no elevator). Queen bedroom with door that closes to sitting room with day bed (2 twins), cable tv, private bath with claw foot tub/shower, wifi, shared balcony, A/C and heat.
The Garden District is quiet, but still close to the action. Amazing architecture. Fabulous restaurants. Fun shopping. Chill cafes and bars. Plenty of coffee shops. Free parking.
  • Raynell’s place is amazing!! Fantastic location on Magazine street only only five blocks from St Charles and the trolley to French Quarter and only five blocks from multiple restaurants. Room is cozy and beds were comfy. We had a great visit.

    Nicole2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a girl’s trip for three of us, and were so thankful we picked this place! Raynell was an amazing host, leaving us pastries in the main room in the morning and bars to take with us as we went in our adventures. I’ve never stayed at a BnB before and was happily surprised at how lovely it was! The room we stayed in, “Martha”, had a lovely porch/balcony that we shared with our neighbors. The trundle bed wasn’t too bad, and out of our options, this place had the most beds for our buck. Raynell put orange juice and milk, cheese and yoghurt in the fridge for us, as well as filtered water, which was so nice to have to snack on. There even was a white noise machine, which was perfect since the bathroom is located past one of the rooms and it helped keep things a little more quiet if someone had to go on a nighttime bathroom break (as well as subdued the noises of neighbors coming back from their nights out or early mornings). I would absolutely stay here again, and would definitely recommend!

  • This is a very lovely house in the heart of the beautiful Garden District. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Raynell is a terrific host. She was very flexible about checking in and out and gave us plenty of helpful suggestions of places to eat in the neighborhood. This is a wonderful place to stay in one of NOLA’s most beautiful areas.

  • Great place! Get it over a generic hotel any day. Highly recommend

  • We had a great time. Excellent host went above and beyond to make our stay great. Great location.

    Jon2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Raynell’s space is amazing! It’s a massive Victorian built in the 1800’s that was built into a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was provided each morning, and Raynell was very knowledgeable about everything that was happening in the city. The location was amazing! The bus line No. 11 takes you straight to Canal street, and it’s close to all of the other major attractions like the Mardi Gras museum! Please stay there! If the location doesn’t grab you the amazing refinished claw foot tub will!

    Sheena2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, very clean, located close to tourist places. Nice comfortable and cozy place.

  • Raynell's place was just perfect. A beautiful home, in a beautiful neighborhood. Raynell was there to greet us and show us the room and highlight some restaurants in the area. We took her up in the District Donuts visit a block away and it became our favorite place for breakfast. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Bob's place is wonderful! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is beautiful and so was our room. Everything was exceptionally clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable! Bob communicated everything before and during our stay very clearly. He provided us with a binder in our room of recommendations for everything from places to eat to things to do during our trip. Breakfast was prepared every morning and was delicious! The inn is in a great and safe location that is nearby everything. I would highly recommend Bob's place to anyone planning to stay in New Orleans! You will absolutely adore it.

  • This little BnB is such a gem. Right off the main drag , St Charles. It's easy to get to and just far enough from the center of of the tourist attractions to be a quiet secluded paradise. The room was comfortable and decorated with all the charm New Orleans has to offer. The property is beautiful and enjoying the garden on a sunny winter day was amazing. The hosts were so gracious and such good company. Up there street there is a great pub that is right on the parade route. I will be staying here again.

  • We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Vanessa and her husband made us feel like part of their family - giving us enough space and privacy while being available for questions or to chat over morning coffee. With a private entrance, two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a trundle bed) with TVs, and a private bathroom, we had plenty of space for our visit. We had access to a fridge and the kitchen for our leftovers and cooking needs. In the midst of the rapidly changing world due to COVID-19, Vanessa provided calm reason and understanding. She was knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs.

    Andrea2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time staying at Vanessa's place. The private entrance and bathroom gave us the privacy we wanted, but Vanessa and Stedman were happy to have a pleasant hello or chat in the kitchen as well. They left coffee for us every morning and were just really wonderful. There's a front porch area with seats, great for a morning coffee or relaxing evening drink. There are two rooms, one with a double bed and the other is a twin but it also has a pull-out second bed below! So that's three separate beds and can comfortably sleep four. The location was calm and quiet. We felt comfortable walking about and it was a great location to explore the many neighbourhoods. It is really close to the St. Charles street car which takes you all the way downtown and is a beautiful ride. It is far from the French Quarter and the other 'central' places, and ubers were expensive for the late nights when buses weren't running/ we didn't want to wait for the transfers. This was great for us most of the time - it was nice to be away from the hubbub and to explore the calmer areas. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

  • This is a gracious, clean and stylish home with so much local flavor and extremely thoughtful hosts. Very comfortable and as private as you want. We enjoyed getting to know the hosts and were always delighted by their kindness. Laughter and love fills their home. The deets: Private entry in a safe neighborhood. We had two separate rooms for sleeping and use of a private bathroom and the kitchen.

  • Vanessa and Steadman are a true example of Southern Hospitality. They are warm, welcoming, and very accommodating hosts that will instantly make you feel at home during your stay. My friends and I enjoyed staying in their house, and would recommend choosing this spot for a true taste of the local flavor of NOLA.

Monrose Row is a three-story Greek revival townhouse built in 1839, with attached slave quarters and a most charming courtyard. Located in the historic Treme neighborhood, two blocks outside the French Quarter. The Bed and Breakfast is walkable to all downtown venues, and only a ten minute walk to Frenchman Street. This private two room suite with bath overlooking the courtyard has a two night minimum stay which includes a full breakfast and daily maid service.
This two room suite is on the second floor of the slave quarters overlooking the courtyard. It includes a private bath with shower, self-controlled central air and heat, as well as wifi. Part of a group of three, three story Greek Revival row houses, Monrose Row was begun in 1839 for Charles Monrose. Monrose, who had a bakery and residence on Bourbon Street until 1838, moved to the corner building, the first of his planned row, opening his business in 1839. Later that same year, Monrose's creditors held public auction and he lost his new property to attorney Louis Janin. Janin immediately completed the row of three houses and sold each to separate owners. One hundred and eighty years later, after meticulous restoration, awarded by the Historic District Landmarks Commission, Monrose Row consists of two of the three original townhouses.
We are located two blocks from the French Quarter in the Faubourg Treme. Walkable to all downtown venues, only a 10 minute walk to Frenchman Street.
  • This place will far exceed your expectations. It is exactly what we were wanting to make our trip to New Orleans perfect.

  • Could not have had a better experience! An easy walk to all the must-see tourist places, but far enough to escape for some nice relaxation. The house is beautiful! The room was immaculate, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a beautiful touch. Ms. Cindy is very considerate and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She also made sure to give us suggestions of places to go in downtown before we ventured off. Would absolutely love to stay here again!!

  • Cindy's place was beautiful and she was the best host! Location is perfect- an easy walk to the french quarter and a cheap uber ride for when I didn't want to walk at night. My room was so cute and nailed the new orleans vibe. I hope to be back soon!

  • We stayed in the private room overlooking the patio. The location of the place is perfect, a couple of blocks from the craziness but still walkable to French Quarters and the Bourbon st.. The place was super clean. Cindy was an amazing host she took care of every little detail when designing the room. Her place is decorated beautifully. She gave us very good tips on restaurants, places to visit.

  • Cindy's place is beautifully decorated, and in a great spot - accessible from the French Quarter hotspots but far enough out for it to be nice and quiet. The weather wasn't ideal over our trip but Cindy's amenities really made our trip much easier, especially the umbrellas she had ready for us during the torrential rains. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

    Ribka2019-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Cindy's B&B was the highlight of our trip to New Orleans. Cindy was extremely accommodating with holding our bags, letting us know when our room was ready, and letting me check out a bit late. Breakfast was great- we walked in one night and muffins were cooling and homemade granola was coming out of the oven! Location was good- about a 15 minute walk to the French Quarter. We felt safe walking. Our room was beautiful, the courtyard was beautiful, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Cindy about the house and everything she knows about New Orleans. Can't wait to come back!

The Ignatius Suite is named after the main character in one of my favorite books which takes place in New Orleans, “ A Confederacy of Dunces”. Even though this is the only non-suite at the guesthouse, it has become the heart of the building. There is also a daybed, a desk, and a 48" HD TV. The room includes a small kitchenett
Hi! I'm Joshua, owner of the Blue60 Guest House located in the heart of the beautiful Marigny district in New Orleans. Please note that even though I have a bed-and-breakfast license, I do not serve breakfast. However, a CBTL coffee pod machine and mini-fridge is provided in the room. Our location is just steps from Frenchman Street and the famous French Quarter. You will find savory southern restaurants, world renowned live music, bars exactly how you imagine them, and a world of charm that most tourists rarely get to experience, all within a 6 block radius. Built in 1842, the Blue60 Guest House provides an authentic New Orleans vacation. Stay in one of our 5 guest rooms, each with a private outdoor entrance, a 48" HD TV, and access to a tropical patio and hot tub with plenty of outdoor seating. For larger groups, the suites can be connected through a double locking door to accomodate up to 16 guests. The Blue60 is your ideal accommodation for both intimate getaways and large gatherings. The Blue60 provides comfort and tranquility within the heart of New Orleans, but is just minutes from most of the major attractions that gives this city such a unique flair for life. I Look forward to hosting your next trip to new Orleans!
The Faubourg Marigny can be overlooked by those who think of New Orleans only as "The French Quarter". With an identiy all it's own, the Marigny has a charm that is just as strong with independent cafe's, restaurants, artists studios, and live music. You'll feel like a local in no time.
  • My friend and I stayed in the Ignatius Studio to celebrate her 21st birthday. Joshua was so kind and gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate! The gates to the property and the room have numbered locks for security and keyless access! And the location is great with free and ample street parking. There are many nice bars and restaurants around and Joshua gave us a guide to the city that he personally wrote! The backyard is gorgeous and the suite was nice with a mini fridge, coffeemaker, kettle, plates and cutlery, and even a case of different flavors of teas!

  • This house may look a bit run down, as the former owner let it go; but Josh and manager Will are giving the place the TLC it deserves. They have many plans to improve the property. To me it feels like Old New Orleans, and definitely has it's charm. We were greeted by Will who took us to our room and gave us a tour of the court yards (3). It is small, but so homey! He was very informative and had many suggestions. He has a great sense of humor and we both liked him right off the bat. Josh is also so welcoming, even inviting us into his own home. The hot tub was very much appreciated! Everything is clean, the bed is comfortable, but I'd say the most outstanding thing about the guest house are the 2 amazing Host's. Josh and Will are the best. We WILL stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay. 4 1/2 stars!

    Max2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay with Joshua! I make the annual pilgrimage to NOLA once a year and always stay in the Marigny. This time I brought along some close friends. Joshua's beautiful property was funky & beautiful, wonderfully clean, and comfortable. His location puts you a block of Frenchman, 10 minutes tops to the quarter, and a few blocks off all of the amazing eats of Marigny. If you are considering a NOLA experience and want the real deal crescent city, with a terrific host, and a home filled of southern charm, STAY HERE!

    Daniel2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Josh for being the best host! He gave so many ideas for us to have a great time. He gave suggestions on food, entertainment and sightseeing. The home we stayed in was amazing, clean and very close to everything we wanted. Walking distance to both Frenchman street and Bourbon Street. I recommend this stay to anyone looking to thoroughly enjoy New Orleans! I am definitely looking forward to staying again!

  • The host (Joshua) was wonderful and in the chaotic days leading up to New Years Eve, Josh was responsive, kind, and extremely helpful when it came to travel and our booking. On top of that, upon arrival, Josh was nothing short of warm, inviting, but also gave us our space. When we entered our room, we were delighted to discover a friggin insiders' guide to the whole city! Printed and waiting on the kitchen table (*And it's a GREAT guide...trust me. I would know. You'll get why if you scroll). *I am (slightly) biased.* Having been born in New Orleans and raised by two NOLA natives, when I travel back that way I avoid tourist hot spots at all costs. Having the ability to stay in the Marigny for pennies on the dollar ON NEW YEARS EVE is something not to be missed. The location is wonderful (just on the brink of the FQ) and the space has that perfectly bizarre, big easy feel. (Remember earlier?) These guys KNOW THEIR STUFF. Their recommendations range from the touristy to the deeeep underground scene for Food, Music, Art, Tours, and so on. As far as the neighborhood goes, do be careful late-late at night (after midnight). The Marigny is generally a SAFE PLACE, but with, seemingly random, acts of violence on the rise in New Orleans as of late just keep your wits about you and know which direction your walking late at night. The boys at Blue60 are well-equipped to guide you through the various parts of downtown, uptown, etc. Take their advice!! I can't say enough, so I'll stop here before I begin to ramble. I think any single person or couple would be more than pleased with their stay @ Josh's studio. Get a free shot @ MAG's. Get a to-go daiquiri @ Curbside Daiquiris. Go to a show. Go see Galactic @ Tipitina's. Go out there and be somebody. #WhoDat

  • This little "Oasis" was nothing short of beautiful. Located in the Marigny area of New Orleans, there are plenty of hole in the walls around you. Frenchmen Street is one block parallel, which always proves to be a great time. There is also a Walgreens up the block, helpful for any necessities. As for the room, it was very spacious and wonderfully decorated. I truly felt at home, here. Thank you Josh and Sam for this one-of-a kind experience in NOLA. If and when I do visit the Big Easy again, I hope it is with y'all.

  • Keith’s is amazing & we are so happy he opened his home to us during our recent stay! The neighborhood was within walking distance to the Quarter & Frenchman St. & most anything you could need during your stay. We always felt safe walking around. And I cannot begin to describe the beauty that his courtyard is!!! The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day full of walking around exploring the city. This isn’t some cookie cutter hotel, but rather an authentic, charming NOLA home with old world flair!

  • Keith’s place was beautiful and located close to many sites in the French Quarter. Keith was helpful with suggestions and explaining the history of the house. Loved staying there.

  • Well what can I say apart from absolute praise - so I’ll do that! We had visited Keith for our first trip to New Orleans and Lordy did he help us fall in love with the city, so we came back not 9 months later. Keith had made his suite our home for two weeks and it was simply paradise. All our needs were catered for, the price was incredibly reasonable and a spacious comfortable set of rooms awaited us each night. It is Ornately decorated and it almost feels in a gilded age of times past. We will absolutely be back and there is no where else I’d ever want to stay when visiting New Orleans. Big love to Keith and his endless hospitality!

    Scarlett2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I give the residence a 5 star. I suggest that you stay there if given the chance.

This grand 1850's Greek Revival house exudes elegance and decadence of old Creole Louisiana, located in a very friendly neighborhood 6 blocks from the French Quarter and 4 blocks to Frenchmen St. Fine restaurants, famous jazz clubs and sidewalk cafes are within a short walk. Originally built as a single-family home converted to a Bed & Breakfast over 30 yrs ago, we recently made improvements to this beautiful Mansion to provide you with a comfortable experience, for memories to last a lifetime.
Located on the 2nd floor in the rear house next to the beautiful tropical courtyard and hot tub, this room has a full sized bed and en-suite bathroom with shower only. As one of our smaller intimate rooms, it is quiet and allows more privacy, with it's own separate entrance. We added a touch of pizzazz with a beautiful crystal chandelier, modern artwork, decorative pillows, and small table with soft chairs. This room is ideal for backpackers, local families who need an extra bedroom for out of town visitors, as well as couples looking for comfy, cozy privacy.
This is a very friendly neighborhood, with free street parking throughout. Five popular cafes/bistros are within a 2 block radius from our front door. We are located just four short blocks/minutes from Frenchmen Street where you can find live Jazz and great food every night! We are surrounded by amazing restaurants, cafe's, and coffee shops. Crescent Park is just a five minute walk to see beautiful views of the Mississippi River. It stretches from one end of the Marigny neighborhood to the other end of the Bywater neighborhood along the river. There are three access points. One at Marigny Street and N. Peters Street. One is at Piety Street and Chartres Street. And the Third is at Bartholomew Street and Chartres Street.
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Check in was easy and the place was exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast was great with lots of variety! Our room was private which was perfect. The room is petite as described but did the trick for a short trip (Friday-Monday). Everything was within walking distance. We would recommend this place!

    Samantha2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for this amazing stay. We love this city and felt very safe in your neighborhood. Everything was as described and we could even walk to the Jackson Square which is a double plus for us. We forgot that we booked a “b&b” and were surprised by the breakfast. ;-) It was nice to chat with other guests while having fresh breakfast. We definitely recommend this place!

  • Great street to be on, connects you to most everything within the French Quarter. About a 20 minute walk to Jackson Square. Awesome place to stay and relax, clean room, delicious breakfast, and friendly neighbors. We would stay again!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Royal St. our bedroom was comfortable and quaint. We had a lot of privacy by it being in the rear house and really appreciated the local tips, champagne, breakfast, and quietness! Would definitely stay again!

  • Great location! We arrived before check-in and accessing the luggage drop off was a breeze!

  • This was my first Airbnb stay and my first time in New Orleans. The room was perfect for my friend and I. It was a good size and was secluded from the rest of the house which made it more private. When we arrived, Diane has champagne and 2 glasses waiting in the room for us. It’s a great location and walking distance of the French quarter and bourbon street! I would definitely go back to stay there!

    Kelsey2019-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Royal St. for a few nights and it was wonderful. The rooms were small, but well laid out and well situated in the city. Most locations were a short walk away and grabbing an Uber was also very simple. The rooms were well decorated and maintained and we felt secure with the keypads on the doors. Breakfast was amazing each morning and although we did not have a chance to experience it, the hot tub looked great too. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance and we will be returning next time we are in NOLA.

Our Deluxe Room 2 offers a beautiful armoire for storage and lots of natural light. The queen sized bed will make your nights restful and allow you to get the most out of your trip to the Big Easy. New Orleans offers visitors so much to do and see, no matter the time of year. Balcony Guest House welcomes all newcomers with a complimentary continental breakfast and hot coffee available all day at our restaurant, Silk Road.
“Third World and Proud of It” is a common joke among the locals. But it doesn’t describe the neighborhood fully at all. The phrase really means that we are moving to a different beat and a different pace. People here take their music, food, history, and art seriously. Everything else is an afterthought.
2nd Hippest Town in the USA: Marigny The Marigny is located immediately down river from the French Quarter and follows the curve of the river. In the center is Washington Square Park, an elegant square lined with 200-year-old oaks. Today, the Marigny and nearby Bywater are considered two of the hippest neighborhoods in America. The Marigny is constantly reinvigorating itself. It is now home to the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), several hundred artists, and a lively nightlife along Frenchmen Street including jazz and dance clubs with several great restaurants.

  • Awesome space. The area felt safe and the grounds were very secure. The rooms and bathrooms were both kept clean, could even say they sparkled. The hosts were very responsive. You can tell they took extra time to the spaces. So nice... I would definitely stay again. I look forward to it.

  • The Crescent City Guest House is exactly as pictured: a beautiful, old historic home in Faubourg Marigny with plenty of quirks. And because it is old, do not expect the amenities of a modern luxury hotel, but expect to stay in a little piece of history. The guest house has 4 bedrooms, and I stayed in the double which also had a personal fridge. The rooms were cleaned daily. Guests also have access to a fully stocked communal fridge with juices, bagels, fruit, coffee, and condiments. There are plenty of dry and wet cereals to choose from for your morning breakfast if desired. The garden is a charming and relaxing place to decompress from the chaos of the French Quarter. The house is two blocks from Frenchmen Street, and about a 15 minute walk to French Quarter. There are some amazing cafés in the neighborhood to get brunch and King Cake in during Carnival season. Keep in mind that this is a historic neighborhood with old sidewalks, and it may not work well if you have bad knees or foot issues. As for communication, I mostly interacted with Mat, and he was hospitable and answered all of my questions. Check-in was seamless even though I arrived early. Overall, I highly recommend Crescent City GH in the beautiful Marigny.

Casa Pelican B&B and Cooking School is a historic home nestled in the quaint and quiet neighborhood of Algiers Point, directly across the Mississippi from the French Quarter. You're just a short ferry ride away from all the action, but staying in a quiet and safe neighborhood for sleeping and relaxing. A hot, fresh breakfast is offered each morning
The Casa Pelican Suite is a bright, spacious private bedroom with French doors opening onto a sitting room and full, en suite bathroom. It is furnished with a Queen sized bed, fold down couch, rocking chair and occasional chairs for relaxing, socializing or watching TV.
Casa Pelican is located in the Algiers Point neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.
  • A delightful host and home situated in a lovely neighborhood. So relaxed after the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter which is only a ferry ride away. Highly recommended.

  • Karen’s place is full of New Orleans charm. Like others have stated, it’s in a quiet neighborhood across the river from the French Quarter. It was super easy to walk to the ferry and take a 10 min ride over for 2 dollars per person. (Make sure you have exact change) She is a wonderful person who made sure your needs were met with a great breakfast every day. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft. We took her wonderful cooking class and that was the highlight of our trip! Met great people, had great conversation, learned a lot, and best of all, had the best meal! Thank you so much.

  • Karen is the best. She’s so sweet and hospitable and an EXCELLENT cook

    Brianna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and her husband were above and beyond expectations, hospitality, local knowledge and one hell of a chef!! Every delicious Southern breakfast were spot on. Great and convenient location! Wouldn’t hesitate to comeback again and recommend to friends... you won’t disappoint to stay here at Karen’s house..

    Steven2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Kelly's place makes you feel right at home in New Orleans. We appreciated being a bit out of the fray, and riding the ferry from Algiers Point across to the French Quarter. Karen is a wonderful chef and raconteur. We highly recommend Casa Pelican.

    Margot2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's B&B is a pinnacle of hospitality in a city already known for great hospitality. She really went out of her way to make her guests feel at home, whether it was offering sunscreen on a sunny parade day, helping me come up with a fix when my bag split, or just telling us great stories and sharing fantastic food tips. It definitely felt like staying with a good friend, and I haven't even mentioned the food. The breakfasts were FANTASTIC, homey and superbly cooked. You can definitely tell Karen runs a cooking school! The ferry was running perfectly when we were there for Mardi Gras season, and for just $2 a person you have a lovely trip across the water to the heart of New Orleans. Being away from the craziness of Mardi Gras in the city and being able to experience a quieter side of New Orleans was fantastic, and the ride each morning across the Mississippi was actually a great way to start each day. I highly recommend staying at Karen's B&B. It was a wonderful home away from home!

    Lauren2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Karen's place. Getting to the French quarter was a breeze using the ferry and much cheaper then driving downtown and paying for parking. Karen was sure to share tips on everything from how to get around to the best places to stop for food. Our room was very clean and the included breakfast was wonderful. We left very early on our checkout day and she was even gracious enough to get up and start at the coffee and leave us some to go breakfast items. It was almost like staying with family! We will definitely be returning to New Orleans and to Karen's place!

    Nicole2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Kelly are wonderful hosts. A highlight of our trip was Karen's superb southern/Cajun breakfasts and delightful conversation. We shared four breakfasts with guests from all over the world while seated at a beautiful polished wood dining table in Karen's elegant dining room. Casa Pelican B&B is situated in a period home a stone's throw from the Mississippi River. Visiting New Orleans to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary, my wife and I found Casa Pelican's second floor suite to be a clean, spacious, and comfortable space to unwind after exploring New Orleans. A $7 integrated ticket from NO transit covered the 10 minute ferry rides (five minute walk from Karen's home) across the river and and entire day of bus and streetcar trips that took us all over New Orleans. Arriving from a northern state, it was a real treat to experience February temperatures in the 70s, eat fresh seafood, and take in pre-Mardis Gras celebrations away from worries of ice dams and frozen pipes. Staying with Karen and Kelly at Casa Pelican was one of the highlights of our trip. We enjoyed easy access to the Big Easy while being able to relax in layed back New Algiers.

  • Penelope's place was great!! First off, Penelope is very responsive. She took less than an hour to respond to my questions. There was a key code to enter the house which she sent prior to arrival and there is a lock box on each door with a key to the room inside. The House was Extremely clean and beautifully finished. Plus the location was perfect. It was a block outside the French Quarter so it was an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to everything. We stayed in the Bienville room which had an attached private bath. There was a shared kitchen and living area with TV that we did not use but we did eat a dinner on the back porch deck one evening that was very pleasant. There appeared to be two other rooms on the same floor (first) that used a shared bath that was next to our room. Plus there was at least one room on the second floor. Because of this you could hear people moving around a bit. It is in a neighborhood so you also could hear loud street noise once in awhile but for the most part it was quiet. In the two nights we stayed I am not sure I heard anything after 10 pm so if you plan to be in early like us it was the perfect stay. Also if you are driving there was parking on the street in front of the house. I had no problem finding a spot close by. I would recommend Penelope's place and I would stay there again.

  • Penelope’s place is an incredible spot to take in all the sights of the French Quarter - walking distance to everything we wanted to see but just enough tucked away from the craziness of the nightlife. Close to so many local museums, parks, and a 10 minute walk from nightlife fun. The room was perfect, comfortable, and a cozy place to get down time and rest in such a beautiful home that really speaks to the style of the area. Highly recommend!

  • Great place! Just a few bocks away from the French Quarters main scene, and in a great location on a quiet street. I was a bit cold, but I run that way anyway, and there were extra blankets provided. Mattress was incredibly comfortable. Nice touches like drinks and snacks! Again, it was quiet, even with others in the house.

The "Spain" room is located on the first floor, near the courtyard and back porch. It has a queen bed and a full ensuite bathroom boasting a claw-footed tub/shower combination. It was once part of the family's dining area, adjacent to the double parlor. The room has a wall mounted flat screen tv, 15' high ceilings, desk set-up for business travelers, antique armoire for clothing storage, and is adorned with a beautiful and unique chandelier for a touch of elegance.
  • Excellent location - super close to Frenchman Street, but quiet and peaceful. I loved having coffee on the porch in the morning. Highly recommend!

  • Great location, we loved eating our breakfast out on the porch. Didn't have time to try the hot tub but enjoyed the welcome gifts!

    Helen2019-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Royal St. It was a short walk to Frenchman and a lovely walk throughout the French quarter. There was a bottle of champagne in our room, which we enjoyed in the hot tub! Would definitely stay again.

  • This host and the property exceeded all expectations. 100% would recommend

    Andrés2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Decent spot, the hosts responds pretty quick, they were kind. It's bed and breakfast styled place. You walk in through the main door and there's multiple rooms each with access via keypad. It's older style, shower was way to small for me personally, but it worked. The place can probably use a good scrubbing however, it was clean enough to get a nights sleep and the hosts did their bests. Thanks!

    Brandon2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and perfect spot for a weekend trip. We walked to many places from the house and it was a short Uber or Lyft ride to anything else.

    Jennifer2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • It is exactly what we expected and some! This is a quiet, private, with plenty of towels, shampoo, body wash, etc. They even had robes and free hot breakfast!

    Elizabeth2018-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay if you want the mix of a very short walk to good entertainment and the feel of staying in a historic neighborhood. Easy access to the Quarter, the bywater and great local feel. The host was superb.
