Suburb Tour of Mumbai by Aircon Car, Tuk-Tuk or Motorcycle
Timing of these tours can be adjusted as per your requirement. These places are in the Suburbs of Mumbai so the pickup and drop will be at Goregaon East Metro station, also I have been rated with 5 Star reviews as a Host for my Mumbai City Tour. After a brief introduction we start our Tour by a Metro train or by Aircon car to visit the Rock cut Buddhist Caves known as Kanheri Caves which dates back to 1st Century and are believed to be one of the oldest cave formations in the country. There are 109 caves with ancient Indian style architecture with a Colossal Buddha statue sculpted out of the Rock. The Caves became a distinctive Buddhist institution for congregational worship, study and meditation. Then stop at one of the 11 Tribal settlements in the heart of Mumbai and understand their culture, life and their Art. The art is known as Warli painting and dates back to the 10th Century. As private vehicles are not allowed we will be hiring a local transport or a public transport. To note, every Monday the Caves are closed. Then we take a Metro train/car and proceed to the fishing Islands Gorai and Manori. Visiting Vipassana Pagoda, Gorai Beach, Churches, see how fishing boats are made and meeting local fishermen and seeing their houses. After the tour you will be dropped at the pickup point. This tour has a moderate difficulty climb while moving around the Kanheri caves.
