“This fun, eclectic bar in the heart of Maplewood has some of my favorite food. They do a heavy metal themed brunch on Saturdays and Sundays that you should not miss. Their regular lunch and dinner menu offerings are incredible too. Lots of vegetarian friendly options too. Try the chili cheese fries or the slinger. ”

“Robata is a go to place for sushi and ramen. They have a variety of vegetarian options, including veggie broth. Small on the inside but has a good sized patio if the weather is right. So this is what you do when you come in: 1) Choose the cut of noodles (regular = no surcharge) 2) Choose Chicken, Veggie, or Pork Broth. If you can't and don't eat pork, this is one of the few options in STL to get a non-pork broth. They also can give you pulled chicken - instead of pork slices. 3) Choose (Salt vs. Soy Base, light broth vs. dark broth) 4) Add any optional toppings. Free toppings are Nori (Seaweed) and fried garlic. Do this. ”

“As part of your Maplewood Shopping experience, you should not miss Vom Fass STL. A tempting selection of oils from around the world, tasty balsamic vinegars, craft spirits and intriguing wines awaits. They offer a taste of everything in the store with free wine tastings on most Friday evenings.”

“This local business uses all local ingredients, and is a great spot for a light breakfast or lunch. I recommend the espresso sunrise for a refreshing drink, and the work day sandwich for a bite. Seating is a bit tight, but definitely worth waiting for a spot. There's some great outdoor seating during nice weather. ”
