I was made to feel so welcome -my room was quiet, clean and a lovely large bed with a superb view of Chartres Cathedral which I had come to see. It was a twenty minutes walk into main Chartres town which was fine. The toilet and separate shower room were also clean and completely adequate. I would definitely stay here again (I hope I did well too!) even more I had forgotten my French adapter plug and thank heavens they had one. Wonderful!!!

J'ai dormi une nuit sous tente chez Valentin et j'ai été très bien accueillie. Même en arrivant tard, Valentin est venu me chercher à la gare. C'était vraiment sympa ! La maison est grande et équipée tout comme la tente dans laquelle j'ai dormi : le matériel était fourni. C'est donc vraiment une super occasion pour ceux qui ne veulent pas payer cher sans être très loin du centre ville à pied et qui n'ont pas peur de dormir un peu à la rude ! Je recommande vivement !

This is a charming old house, with an impressive library and piano in the living room and a well equiped kitchen. It is located within walking distance to the cathedral and has a friendly and attentive host. We had a very relaxing stay and our kids loved it... thank you!

We had a delay that made us arrive at 21h instead of 18h provided. This was no problem. We were very well received. Our host made us feel immediately at home. We did visit the house and our room. We have things available (towels, cooking: onions, garlic, butter, oil, etc.) we have permission to use anything you want in the house. There is a large library, a piano, nice comic. The furniture is old, but it's always nice stay "at granny" To top it all, our big dog 2 took advantage of the large garden, and got permission to fit them! (They are wise, clean, and love sleeping in a corner) I highly recommend this accommodation +++

The room is in an old house, so guests expecting a modern lodging will be disappointed. However, folks who find old houses charming will enjoy the ambiance. The mattress was very comfortable. The two bathrooms are shared by longer-term lodgers and airbnb guests. There is free on-street parking. It's only about a 15 minute walk to the Chartres cathedrale from the house. There is a bakery only 4 or 5 minutes by foot from the house. Laurent, who hosted us, made us feel very welcome, and we had a very interesting conversation with him, although we ran out of time before we could solve all the world's problems together :-)

Comfortable and spacious room in an old style house with a style. Located about 1km from the centre of Chartres, with the railway station just in-between. We were offered just about anything a traveller might need, including some basic food. Jas is definitely one of the most friendly and relaxed hosts we have ever met and it was a pleasure to meet him. Even though we had a rather bad-luck day, so that we brought more trouble than joy to the hosts, Jas took just everything with a smile and peace. This is a place where you will really feel welcomed!

I spent 5 weeks in the house of Valentin and I am myself very quickly felt comfortable, like home. Lawrence and the other tenants are very hospitable, always ready to talk and laugh. It was really great, I highly recommend accommodation!

The apartment is great and Norman very nice. We rented out last minute and it was very welcoming! It is good to know that Chartres is a pedestrian in the center so the cars can not get there but the underground municipal parking is two streets and Norman very well directed us. It is nice to walk without a car in the center, Chartres is a real postcard decor, the heritage buildings are lit from nightfall! Norman's apartment is a great plan!

Great quiet and personal space, roomy and clean with computer facilities. Wow! Clean and spacious. Magali was very warm and welcoming. Very central, I enjoyed hearing the cathedral bells. There are stairs to the third floor but the serenity is worth the climb. No hesitation in recommending!

A minute's walk from the cathedral, restaurants, and other shops! The place is located on the top floor of Guillaume's house but if climbing stairs is no issue for you, this place is perfect for exploring beautuful Chartres. It is clean, comfortable and has its own toilet and shower. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Guillaume's place and in Chartres.

We especially appreciated the warm welcome from Jean-Louis. The situation of the apartment in the city center is great (5 minutes from the Cathedral) just renovated in a bright and uncluttered style. It's the little cocoon you need for your stay in Chartres.

Airbnb the best we have ever visited! Really. Everything is done for aesthetic comfort and functionality in this house to the impeccable decor and cleanliness. We need an ingredient in cooking? He's there. A tissue ? At hand. Shampoo, a plan, an umbrella ...? We are confident Jean-Louis thought to make available all that is tedious to bring or buy for a short stay with his travel experience. Jean-Louis is an excellent host, very welcoming and providing all the necessities with generosity. He picked me up at the train station and was very amenable to my needs. The flat is charming in an ancient funky little building near the top of Chartres, very close to the cathedral. The bed is very comfy and the shower great. Plenty of clean towels, fresh bread, fruit, juice, tea and coffee. And a very peaceful place to sleep, under the massive oak beams. A small hide-away with very nice feeling.

This accommodation was definitely the best of my whole journey. They really love their city and like to share their favorite places with other people. So I got a guided tour in Chartres in the day. It was really cool. After that I got a second guided tour in Chartres at night. It was really beautiful, because of the illuminations! So this was just the program. The flat is furnished in a modern and friendly style. You feel comfortable at once. The bed is absolute comfortable as well and everything is really clean! I absolutly recommend this accommodation! L'accueil par Julian et Mylène a été d'une rare qualité avec des échanges avant l'arrivée qui ont permis de se retrouver, des repas partagés avec nos hôtes d'un moment, une visite guidée pour profiter des illuminations de Chartres le soir. Très bien logé également (grande salle de bain, lit confortable, etc.). Je recommande ces hôtes qui nous ont permis de profiter à 100% de notre court séjour.

Mylène et Julian sont des hôtes adorables qui nous ont très bien accueilli, on s'est sentis comme chez nous. Nous avons bien sympathisé. Ils connaissent bien Chartres et sont de bon conseil pour visiter la ville. Leur joli appartement est très bien situé, à quelques pas de la cathédrale, idéal pour découvrir les animations de Chartres en lumière. La chambre est agréable, propre et le lit confortable. Il y a la possibilité de mettre à l'abri un vélo. En résumé : super expérience que je recommande !

Comme chez ton meuilleur pôte! Julian et sa femme sont très gentils et acceuillants. Appart bien propre et bien équipé qui se situe à 3 mins aux pieds du centre ville et 10 mins de la gare sncf. Je suis venu pour passer un weekend loin de Paris et vivre Chartres en lumière et ce qui s'est passé est hors de mon attente. Un grand remerciement à Julian pour avoir pris du temps pour me guider un tour dans la ville. Il connait parfaitement sa ville et des petits jolis coins d'ici.
