Pier
“Somewhat far but my favorite area for boat trips, or just eating overlooking the sea and islands full of houses.”

“The village of Sai Kung is also noted locally for its seafood restaurants, many of which congregate on the seafront, known as ‘Seafood Street”

“Great local restaurant serving Fusion food. Lots of atmosphere and great service. Quite expensive however.”

“Saikung is a Mecca for hiking and outdoor activities. Beaches, sporting facilities, cafes, bars etc. A little difficult to get to, but worth the trip. ”

Bakery
“Ali Oli is a bakery and cafe - good food at good prices. Loaf On does Chinese food - and it has a Michelin star but is not crazy expensive. We find the Chinese seafood places on the seafront overpriced. There are also several cheap Thai restaurants in Sai Kung town centre and lots of western eateries: Paisanos is cheap and good for pizza. Above Baccos bar, Jojos is a great Indian restaurant (in the Michelin Guide). On the seafront, Camden Town does good fish and chips. On the square, Jaspers, Big Fish and Piccolos are all good (but not cheap).”

Point of Interest
“Easy beach just a 10 min ferry ride from Pak Sai Wan. Great for families, have lifeguard and shop for drinks and snacks. You can also rent an umbrella for shade. Gets very busy on hot Sundays! Take taxi to the Ferry Pier at Pak Sha Wan (10mins) then get either the blue of yellow sampan (water taxi) from the pier. Don't buy a return ticket as you can just buy it the ticket on the sampan when you come back and will not be restricted to which service you use. Tickets are $10 per person.”

“Specialty Chinese dessert. Original shop among so many branches in the city. Beware of long queue on Fri or weekends. After a delicious seafood dinner, a dessert is perfect for the night.”
