After driving many hours and not wanting the hustle and bustle of Reno, finding the Gilded Drifter in Loyalton was paradise. Chelsea was great in communication and gave us perfect instructions about our stay. We had a new puppy with us and he was welcomed with open arms, literally. The room was comfortable and eclectic. My wife and I slept very well. When we weren't sleeping we enjoyed the interesting books that begged to be picked up and read. If you couldn't find the right book in the room, the extensive library in the main room would keep you very busy. The other guests were very nice and courteous. The communal kitchen is nice if you wanted to cook your own meal, maybe next time. Loyalton is such a quiet little town just tucked into the edge of the Sierra's, its hard to believe such a place exists in California. We contemplated moving there, but for now, we'll settle for the peace and tranquility that you get when you stay at the Gilded Drifter.

A perfect escape from the big city - just what I needed. This is a wonderful Rustic Country House in the tiny, charming town of Loyalton, situated in the middle of the vast, beautiful Sierra Valley. Chelsea has done a great job renovating the place all by herself, with thoughtfulness put into every detail. She made scones and pancakes for me and both were great. If you want to step back in time to quiet, peace, and a home base for all manner of outdoor activities, come here. I hope to be back soon.

We were lucky to find Chelsea's place at the last minute when lightning ruined our camping plans. Her place in Loyalton is picturesque and cozy. She is a great hostess and I wouldn't highly recommend staying at the Gilded Drifter.

Chelsea is an absolutely amazing host and I would 100% recommend this place. She has an amazing Inn with a backyard fire pit, hammock, swing, and BBQ! The only downside is the location. It is perfect for getting out of a city and to the countryside however be prepared for no cell reception. The location also makes it hard for groceries, we only stayed overnight however for extended stays keep in mind that the nearest grocery store is about an hour away! Overall it was a great stay.

It was a really great value for the accommodations. Chelsea is an artist and every detail about the Inn is perfect. She puts her heart and soul into renovating that Inn and her customer service is very heartfelt. We got a lot of amenities not listed on airbnb: wifi, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap. She had social events in the backyard with the locals so it really felt like you were part of the community when you are staying there. 5 stars!

The sweeping view of the valley from the beautiful bridal suite was amazing! The bay windows draw you in and invite you to relax on the chase lounge no matter what exciting plans you have made for your trip. The bed was very comfortable. I was excited to see it was a sleep number and I could adjust to my liking! The shower was gigantic! The bathroom is newly updated and had all the comforts of home. I love the overall vintage feel to this hotel. It is decorated tastefully well. Everywhere you look there is a new treasure to see. I am in love with the velvet green couch in the library! There is a well lit patio out back with a fire pit and a fully stocked kitchen on the first floor with everything one would need to create a healthy meal. Plan on shopping for ingredients before getting to Loyalton though as their grocery store options are limited. Chelsea was exceptionally sweet and the warmest of hostesses along with her dog Nicholi, we were welcomed and encouraged to have the most exceptional stay in her eclectic hotel.

The Gilded Drifter is a beautifully located inn right on the California/Nevada border and falls on a wonderfully quiet stretch of road out in the country. The laissez faire style of innkeeping creates a beautifully old-timey feel that is accented by unique decoration and an incredibly homey atmosphere.

I will come back to this place every time I am in the area!!!!

I rented the Sierra ranch over Labor Day weekend with my dog, a Vizsla named Andy. It's well positioned in Tahoe National Forrest with many hiking and swimming options within a 20 minute drive. The house itself is a very well appointed, off the grid two story building with four bed rooms, three bathrooms, and a giant bathing room. It's an interesting house with an attention to detail you don't often find. The ranch is over a thousand acres of fully private land. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to unwind and listen to the wind blow through the trees and the cows mooing softly in the distance. Eveline's knowledge of the Sierra Valley and the ranch itself enhances your stay, and she seemed to always be available to answer questions and offer ideas for how to enjoy the property. The house is a great mash-up of European and rustic/vintage style and very comfortable. It's in the perfect spot to take advantage of the incredible view of the valley. Sunrises, sunsets, moon rises, moon sets -- the wraparound deck allows you to enjoy them all. I can't thank Eveline enough for making my stay so relaxing and memorable. I will definitely go back.

We celebrated my mother's retirement at this Sierraville cabin. What a treat! Truly such a great escape from the busyness of life. An absolute serene and peaceful place to relax. But at the same time a wonderful adventure for our young kids. Between hikes to the barns, playing I the streams, swinging on the porch, our kids were thoroughly entertained (and not once by video games and tv)!!! Eveline was truly a great host and gave us recommendations for our stay. We will be back!!! Dont hesitate to get away to this fantastic retreat!!

Love this place!!! My 2nd time here on vacation. Off the beaten path and exactly what we were looking for. I feel so fortunate to be able to experience the natural beauty and off the grid living.

SECLUDED!!! We are arrived at night, pitch black! Got out the flash light to find the lock box, met some bats(lol). When we entered the house we where floored! The house has such charm and character, and it's enormous! So much place for a large family to spread out! There are skylights above the master bedroom bed and huge windows, the star gazing from the bed before falling to sleep was truly my favorite. This place is a hidden gem! Thanks to the hosts for everything, such a great weekend!!

Wow, this place is really epic. We had a wonderful time staying in this high quality, gorgeous place. Everything about the house was beautifully appointed, from the classy double hung windows, to the wood floors throughout, and the european aesthetic with lovely antiques and decor. We absolutely loved the remote feel, and the super quiet nature all around. The small stream flowing by the house - still running in late August! - was just delightful! We ate outside every evening. I especially loved the kitchen and that stove!! I have an antique Wedgwood but this stove and double oven was a whole other class. What a pleasure to work in the small but efficient space. Plenty of iron pans (my favorite) to work with, and we ate splendidly all week. Since we were only three people, cleaning up after was a snap, but if you have more people staying please note there isn't a dishwasher if that is important to you. We went down to the historic barns a couple of times and saw the barn owls, plus lots of other birds. We explored the Gold lakes region, swam in waterfall ponds, and kayaked on Independence lake. Truly an amazing area to explore, and the house was central to it all. It's pricey but totally worth it for us, and if we can swing it again in the future, we will be back!!! Love love!

Great, modern new unit with sound proof windows, so very quiet. ADA accessible and easy to find. Great restaurant new by. Simple, clean, and basic amenities were all there. Great access point to back country skiing.

Two thumbs up!! The Valley House was a beautiful place to stay. Our hosts had thought through all the details to provide us a comfortable visit. There was a packet full of information about Sierraville and all the places to explore in Sierra Valley. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances and tableware needed for making a meal. They even left two kinds of coffee and fresh cream waiting for us in the fridge! The mattresses were super comfortable too. Will absolutely be back :)

Unit was just as described, plus very peaceful and quiet. Had a very relaxing weekend, and enjoyed several of the local restaurants for dinners and breakfast. Participated in an event at Lake Davis, which took only about 30 minutes for the drive. Would definitely book again! Oh, and Brendon and Megan's communications were both prompted and extremely helpful.

BEAUTIFUL place! Right as I walked in everything smelled so clean and fresh! Not in any overpowering or hospital-like way, but in a natural relaxing way. This is a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway. Very plush bed, everything is very new and the shower feels luxurious. You have access to tons of outdoor wonders so take advantage of that! Brendan and Meghan also did a lot of extra work to accomodate my particular check-in needs, which I appreciated and which made them stand out. In the house they've provided a wealth of info on what to do around there, with a wide range of types of activities! Also I HIGHLY recommend the Mexican restaurant just around the corner. Their birria had so much DELICIOUS authentic flavor, and the staff there, too, went out of their way to accommodate for me. For example they boxed and bagged my things with a lot of detail. Everyone was really welcoming overall, let alone the fantastic menu.

This was an extra large space with new appliances for a comfortable stay. We were in the area for a bird watching trip and it was central for wonderful spots to check out. Although we didn't need the ADA compliant ramp and facilities, we complement Brendan and Megan for providing these for people who want to stay in this area.

The Valley House is a gorgeous getaway and Brendan and Megan were excellent hosts - very communicative and helpful in directing us to wonderful places to drive, walk and eat in the surrounding areas. We are looking forward to coming back! Can't recommend enough!

This wasn't just an average night at an airbnb. It was an experience! Lauriel's place was one of the most interesting stays we've ever had. It's a large, older home, completely decorated with antiques and other period pieces. Be sure to take a walk around - there are sooo many interesting things to check out, particularly for a history buff. Lauriel has done an amazing job with this place, ensuring it is super clean and comfortable. Great little private backyard with gardens, deck and working hot tub! Beds were very comfortable. Lauriel and her husband met us at check in and they were friendly and helpful. Quick 30-minute drive through scenic National Forest to Truckee. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. This is the kind of place you go out of your way to visit. It's THAT cool! We would totally stay again if ever in the area.

This place is a hidden gem, I was so lucky to have found this beautiful place. From the rustic rooms to the beautiful hot springs 10 min away. I feel privileged to have stayed in this amazing place.

We have a wonderful, relaxing stay at Randolph station. The house was more spacious than we expected and was great for our party of three adults and two six year olds. Lauriel was easy to communicate with and was flexible when we were later than expected for check-in. The backyard was a really beautiful and peaceful place to hang out and eat meals. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. There is only a small market in the town so recommend getting groceries on your way. (As advised by the host prior to arrival.) Also it was only a 15 minute drive to a snopark (there was even still plenty of snow in late may!)

We stayed here so last minute and beyond appreciated the quick response we got from owners. The house has so much space for a big family like ours. The owners are very nice just invasive when we were getting ready to leave. The home does not have a television or any internet what so ever. The hot tub was so nice and clean, the house was very clean too. I would recommend bringing food with you and entertainment too. It's a very cute little town I've never heard of but we would stay again, I'm sure it's so fun in winter with snow. I recommend this home and the owners. Thank you for allowing my family and I to stay.

lauriel's house was amazing! it has some interesting history, is in a quiet and beautiful location, has a hot tub and is close to a hot springs! everything was really easy and lauriel's communication made the whole thing very smooth and comfortable. i would love to stay here again in the future!

What a delight it was to stay in a place with such a rich history and Dan was a wonderful source of information about the history of the house. He took the time to walk us through the whole place. It was clean and homey and unique. The hot tub was really clean and perfect temp and such a treat at the end of the day and again with coffee. The area was so scenic and beautiful.

Lauriel and Dan were great hosts. Lauriel met me at the house and gave me a quick "get acquainted" tour. The neighbors were great as I had a bit unusual need. I was there taking astrophotos in the clear dark sky and the neighbors were very good about reducing outdoor lights. The location is friendly and I had no qualms about leaving very expensive equipment setup outdoors for 4 days. At home I don't leave it unattended for 10 minutes! Very enjoyable stay.

Mike's home was warm and welcoming. It was just like staying at an old friend's house. The home was gorgeous inside and out. Every room was well appointed with everything we needed to make our family comfortable on our vacation on a vacation, which meant we didn't need to pack beyond the basics. My kids enjoyed the yard, sitting by the fire pit and wading in the creek at the edge of the property. Truly magnificent setting….When in Sierraville, we will be back!

The house couldnt have been more charming-we felt like we were in a "Pottery Barn" ad, only it was real! The house was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, sleep, and enjoy ourselves. There was even firewood supplied for the woodstove! The house location was nearby Sierraville and 30 minutes from Truckee. We enjoyed the Fall weather and the pastoral views. Couldnt have asked for more!

Our host, Mike, responded to all of our questions quickly. He welcomed us by phone on arrival. The listing was as described. The neighborhood was serene,quiet. We saw some rodeo action a short bike ride from the house. Sierraville itself is dinky, but this was a great home base for exploring Truckee, Sierra City, Downieville and a number of nearby lakes, hiking trails.

Mike's place is the perfect place for a family vacation. It's a truly magnificent farmhouse, lovingly restored. The kitchen is well appointed. The master bed is luxurious. There is a fun side room with twin beds for the kids. Everything is very clean and well appointed. And the house is just a few minutes drive to Sierra Hotsprings.

The property is great, but Mike was a bad host and I want to warn potential guests of that. He is serious about check-out times and will try to entrap guests into paying more. Just be careful. Here's what happened to us: on the day of our check-out, Mike came by around 1030 and hung around outside by his car, I went out, exchanged some pleasantries, and passed on a phone message he had gotten from his girlfriend. He was perfectly respectful. At 1102 (I checked my watch), he barged in and complained that we had not left on time (1100) and that he was charging us an extra day even when we offered to leave immediately. Now, I had thought that check-out time was at 1130 (there's no internet or cell service up there to check, and Mike "failed to mention it" in any of his many notes left at the house on check-in. I noted this to him, and he didn't care. We were gone at 1120, but Mike still attempted to charge us for an extra night (AirBnB told him no, as we offered to leave). Just take care. In Mike's (maybe) defense, he may have been angry that I came with more people than I had reserved. I am not a frequent AirBnB user, and I didn't realize that affected cost - I just read the property description to make sure it was big enough and clicked "reserve". He complained about this and I paid the difference. It still doesn't excuse the attempt to charge me for an extra day without even attempting to warn me about the check-out time.

This is a lovely house on a terrific street on the south side of Sierra Valley – a great location with beautiful views of the valley floor and surrounding mountains. We did not meet the owner, Mike, but he was great to talk to on the phone and very helpful. The house was all set to go when we arrived and had everything we needed (and more). We really enjoyed our stay there and would return if back in the area again. Thank you Mike!!

This home was a dream home. Unreal view of Sierraville, absolutely quiet and private. This home was a true sanctuary with all the high end finishes you would dream of. Impeccable style and yet was extremely comfortable and cozy. The home had a wonderfully equipped kitchen and every bedroom its own full and luxurious bath. I will recommend it to all of my friends and family and hope to go stay there again soon. Nestled in the woods yet open to the elements, we experienced incredible sunsets and serene peace in nature. Located near the cute town of Sierraville with their famous hot springs and just a quick drive from the town of Truckee and close to Lake Tahoe. This place was truly a gem and we are so glad we found it. We are a family of 4 with two young children and the open floor plan and single story allowed our kids to safely roam the house. They loved running around the wrap around covered patio. The outdoor fireplace and dinning table was perfect for outdoor dinners with majestic views. It was so quiet we could even hear the cows in the farms far below.

This place is truly a gem. If you want a wonderful quiet place to get away and discover the wonders that the greater Tahoe area has to offer, look no further. You will not be disappointed. Stunning, relaxing, wow....just a few words that were thrown around quite a bit during our brief stay. Communication before and after was a breeze as well. Enjoy!!

Scott was very welcoming. Great chatting with Scott about the local area, the Airstream, and motorcycles.

I stayed in Scott's Airstream trailer on a recent bicycle tour. Everything about my stay was excellent. The trailer was comfortable and convenient and everything worked. If you haven't used a travel trailer and have some reservations about that you shouldn't. I also enjoyed visiting with Scott, who is an interesting guy and went out of his way to make me comfortable. If I have a reason to be back in Portola I wouldn't hesitate to stay with Scott again.

Staying in Scott's airstream was awesome! He welcomed us with beers, a tour of the property, and even hung out with us for a while in his awesome "man cave." The scenery and area was unbelievable too. So to say the least Scott helped make the trip to the Sierra mountains a memorable one. I hope that I'll be able to go back again and soon.

We stayed here for the Lost and Found Bike Ride. Very cozy and comfortable. Across the road is the Feather River, so a beautiful, quite place to hang out.

Scott confirmed our check in time for arrival. A friend who is also knowlegable about the area showed us thru the basics of trailer living and gave us a hiking map. This rental was a helpful experiment for us as we tent camp now and might be buying a trailer in the future. Having comfy twin beds, stove fridge and heater, small shower and toilet is a benefit.

Scott was great, was there when we rolled up. Showed us the ins and outs of the trailer, and then had a few beers with us as we settled in. The trailer was great, and easy access to Lake Davis, which was what we came up for. Not far from town, either, so stocking up on food was easy. No complaints!

Scott is a really nice guy with a very cool set up. It's a vintage experience in a secluded and peaceful location.

The Airstream was clean and comfortable, and very fun in a retro kind of way. I stayed here to explore the beauty of the Plumas County area and was not disappointed. This is a great place to stay to get away from the city for awhile and enjoy the great outdoors.

Nicholas' place was just perfect for five of us (all adults). The kitchen had all the tools we needed to make dinner each night, the beds were comfortable and the Foosball table provided several hours of entertainment. The location was also nice, on the outskirts of town. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings and evenings. We would definitely come back.

We stayed at Nicholas’ house for 10 days during the Christmas break and absolutely loved it. The house is more spacious than the pictures show and it is very well equipped. There is everything you need in the kitchen. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and really close to Lake Davis or Johnsville where there are great opportunities for snowplay, snowboarding or ice skating on frozen lakes . The local grocery store is stocked with everything you need for a getaway and if you don’t feel like cooking you can choose from a handful of restaurants in Portola. Our three kids enjoyed the huge collection of Disney movies on VHS. There are also lots of board games for long family nights and a table soccer. Nickolas was great host. Thanks again for sharing this amazing vacation home!

Nicholas was an excellent host - friendly and helpful and also gave us privacy. The cabin is great - comfortable and well equipped. Our kids (8 and 11 years old) enjoyed playing inside and outside. We had fun day trips to the Portola train museum and hiking in the Gold Lakes area. Back at the cabin we BBQed on the gas grill, enjoyed the beautiful kitchen and roomy dining/living area. The beds were super comfortable. A perfect vacation spot!

This house is absolutely amazing! My partner and I went for a romantic getaway, and it was more than we could have dreamed of. The house is very spacious -- 3bd/2ba and a spacious kitchen and dining area. Next time we'll bring friends! Portola is a super cozy town, with gorgeous views. We spent one full day driving through the mountains, taking all the beauty of the Sierras in. My boyfriend and I are not skiers, but the town is not too far away from Truckee, Donner Ski Area, Tahoe, etc. I definitely recommend Nicholas' house for a nice couples or family getaway. I will for sure stay again!

Nicholas' cabin retreat is great for a stay exploring the Sierras. The water ran hot with great pressure (always a super plus!), the updated kitchen was a great shared space where we enjoyed brewing coffee to get ready for a day in the outdoors. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable, and provided privacy for those "me" moments. The scenery can't be beat, nestled in the pine forest, we witnessed deer one morning just outside the window. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac with easy access to the main road, and just minutes from Portola and Greagle. Nicholas' communication was great and he responded quickly and graciously. We had a very pleasant experience.

We went up to Nicholas's place for the 4th of July as nearby Graeagle has a wonderful 3 day event. The home was very clean and well stocked. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac in the beautiful big pines. Nicholas is very prompt and courteous in response to any questions or concerns. He has a wonderful property manager nearby for any needs or questions if he should be out of town. As a family with three children it was wonderful to have a foosball table as well as board games and kid friendly movies available. They never once asked for the electronics! The deck was wonderful to sit out on and have coffee. There is an abundance of hiking trails, lakes and museums in the area. In the heart of gold country there are so many adventures to be had.

Great place to stay for a skiing trip if you want to be away from crowds! Nicholas was a great host.

A nice quiet place, good for a great family experience. House is great value for money. Kitchen was well stacked, we were happy to find Diet Coke and traded it with wine and cider:) Found email communication to be dry and functional. Bring your own sheets if you have issues with synthetic sheets.

A cute, clean house where we housed our groomsmen for our wedding. They were impressed by how stocked up the fridge and pantry were, only downside is it is a little hard to find, but worth it once you do find it!

Nice spacious place we booked for a friend's wedding in the area - it slept 5 comfortably. Sleepy little town with just a couple local spots (I.e. Restaurants and other stores). The house was very well kept and we had everything we needed there. Only drawbacks are no air conditioning in the summer so it may take a bit longer to cool down, and the place is a bit tricky to try and find given the disparity of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps roads and what the actual roads are. Nice spot overall though!

This is an out of the way place to enjoy some snow. The bedrooms were ample and it was nice to have TV and DVD player in multiple rooms. No internet and the hot water was temperamental but overall everything else worked well. Plenty of towels and a washer and dryer which helped with wet clothes. It's a good floorplan for multiple people and was close enough to play in some sno parks and hot springs in about 45 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay there. It was like home with all the amenities.

This mountain home is located in a beautiful setting amongst the pine trees. It is located along a creek bed with such a peaceful and quiet setting. The house is lovely and the furnishings are very nice and comfortable. The interior decorations are delightful! The kitchen is well appointed and very large. We spent every afternoon and evening on the back deck enjoying the beautiful outdoors and loved the privacy from the neighbors. It was helpful to have the use of the garage to store our fishing boat, equipment and tackle when we weren't using them. This is a fabulous vacation rental that we would highly recommend! The owner, Steve, is very easy to communicate with and is very helpful! Without hesitation, we will return again to this delightful vacation rental!

Steve's place was a blissful escape in the mountains surrounded by beautiful redwood trees. His beautiful 3 bedroom house had everything you would want from a home away from home situated conveniently just 10 minutes from the local town of Graeagle. His place was also only 15 minutes away from the wedding venue "twenty mile house" which was very convenient for us. We found steves' place to be very clean, fully furnished and equipped with literally everything you may need for a short stay :)

Really great place to stay in a very nice and cozy home. We highly recommend Steve's home to anyone staying in the Graeagle area. This is one of the most comfortable homes that we have stayed in and we will be returning next year to enjoy the home again.

Great place for families and working away from home. Fantastically outfitted kitchen and a deeeep bathtub to die for! Spent four days here working outdoors in the area. This was perfect to come back to as it was centrally located to my multiple projects. The "side room" was nice in that I didn't have to have my work computer or gear spread out on a bed like in a hotel. Plenty of space for my husband and my employee. Really enjoyed the back deck for evening suppers. Kids were playing in the street..Nice sounds. Slept like a baby in the pillow top queen bed. Jodie was super sweet with great directions...And even mailed me back the hairbrush we forgot. Oh, and the whole place is remodeled. Key code made it really easy, as I lose keys alot! You can walk to the store and nearby restaurants ..6-8 blocks away. Great value Will stay here again.

We loved staying at the Wolf House! We were traveling with 2 small children, and we had plenty of space to hang out and spend time together. The house was freshly remodeled, clean, and well supplied. Having a garage available was very convenient, and there's also a gas BBQ on the back patio. Inside we had plenty of seating, lots of card and board games, satellite tv, internet (and netflix!). Jim and Jodie have done a great job here. I would definitely recommend the Wolf House!

This wolf house is amazing! Very nice and new and clean. Communications with Jodie were friendly and prompt. The house had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend it!

Great home, fast communication. Easy access to get inside and located far enough from things to feel "away" but close enough for a quick drive to Tahoe forest and water which is exactly what we were looking for. Jim and Jodie were helpful and very quick with responses when needed.

The wolf house is a very nice and clean house with all the amenities you could ask for. Jim and Jodie were very easy to communicate with and responded within the hour if I had any questions. A great place for a weekend stay. If you are staying in the area, I recommend staying at the wolf house.

From the moment you arrive at the front doorstep and are greeted by a flowered wreath and bench, you know that you are in for a treat. When you walk through the door you will be taken back the details (such as artwork and antiques) that invite you to look more closely and to sit down and enjoy the comfort of Lisa's home. The back deck has plenty of seating, a bbq, hot tub and beautiful forested view. The house is stocked with everything you'd ever need in a kitchen, including trash bags, dish soap, and spices. And, if you are eager to explore the neighborhood, take a one-mile hike down past the golf course and to the Lodge, and you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you. I would not hesitate to recommend staying at Lisa's house. She is very friendly and quick to respond to any questions you may have.

Lisa's house is cozy and fully stocked. The house is decorated down to the last detail. It also has a lovely porch to eat meals on & the surrounding neighborhood offered nice quiet morning walks.

Very comfortable and cozy within an easy ride to restaurants, golf, lakes, rivers and hiking. Lovely back deck with a view of forest and total quiet.

Lisa place is very nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we could need, with a wide variety of condiments and spices. The home is spacious and the layout was perfect for us with the two bedrooms at opposite sides of the hallway. There was a nice deck behind the house perfect for relaxing after a long hike.

Great stay at Lisa's welcoming cabin. She has every amenity in the kitchen, baths and bedrooms one could hope for which makes for a visit fit for an honored guest. Beds and furnishings are extremely comfortable. The back deck has nice forested views and the hot tub was much appreciated to enjoy the brisk, starry nights. The only minus was the lack of wifi at the cabin. It is available at the lodge though. Neighborhood is extremely peaceful -we enjoyed nice walks and a trip around the neighborhood on the cruiser bikes and stopped in to the lodge restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Nothing fancy or pricey but adequate with friendly service. The golf course looks spectacular even though we did not play -preferring to enjoy a five mile hike in the Gold lakes area instead. A real gem of a place - we definitely hope to return soon.
