We also supply a cot and a high chair on demand. The 10x5m inground pool has magnificent unobstructed mountain views, paved beach area, sun loungers, two big parasols and solar shower. Le Fournil holiday cottage is full of character, its name reflecting its agricultural past, when it was the bakehouse and grain store to the main house Le Couloumé, built around 1850. We have lovingly transformed Le Fournil into a 2 bedroom Gite with all Mod Cons, including WiFi internet, whilst retaining most of the original features, with exposed beams in the bedrooms as well as downstairs, also the old bread oven is still in place in the sitting room. Le Couloumé is a traditional French farmhouse with several outbuildings sitting in over an hectare of land on a south facing slope in a commanding position in Loudet, a pretty village in a range of hills sometimes known as the Little Pyrenees. Beautiful and tranquil location, perfect for a relaxing holiday, nestling in an ideal position we have access to some of the most stunning scenery that France has to offer. Great area for all outdoor pursuits, cycling paradise, from flat routes, or rolling hills to the famous Tour de France Cols. Geographically we are in the Central Pyrenees, almost equidistance between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean coast. We enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Pyrenees across the valley - in fact we can see the mountains of three different départments, the Ariège in the east, the Haute Garonne in the south and the Hautes Pyrenees to the west, and even Spain!

The grandeur of the mountains; the magnificent rivers and lakes; the beautiful, ever-changing landscape; the amazing canopy of stars in the dark night skies, the neat villages and the friendliness of the people totally won us over. Whatever the season, you can enjoy a huge variety of activities in this part of the Pyrenees: cycling, skiing, hiking, paragliding, rafting, climbing, golf, tennis, and many more, all within a short drive from us. Close by you will also find wine festivals; country fairs; music festivals; pre-historic cave paintings; Roman villas and a history rich in drama, romance and tragedy. The departmental capitals of Toulouse, Pau and Auch - rich in shopping and cultural attractions - are within easy reach by car; or by train from Montréjeau - just 8 miles down the road. Toulouse is well served by international airlines like BA or Easyjet, from London's airports. Just to name a few sites: Saint Bertrand de Comminges, 12 miles, one of the most imposing sites in the area in an exceptional setting, with its medieval cathedral Sainte Marie surrounded by the old town Montmaurin, Gallo Roman villa, only 6 miles Lourdes, famous grotto and destination of millions of pilgrims each year, 1 hours drive from us Pic du Midi du Bigorre: For an unforgettable experience, be sure to visit the Pic du Midi observatory, over a 1000m above the Col du Tourmalet. The 360 degree views are quite stunning, an evening visit (requires booking in advance) for stargazing is also highly recommended. Or why not go to another country? The closest route into Spain takes 1 hour through Le Vallée de Luchon. Also a very worthwhile visit is the beautiful Spanish medieval village of Ainsa, via St Lary Soulan through the tunnel of Bielsa approximately a two hour drive from us. We are a 2 1/2 hrs drive from the Atlantic coast, worth a day trip to visit the elegant seaside resort of Biarritz with its grand hotels lining the seafront, and to enjoy a good lunch in one of the many restaurants. Or spend the day at St. Jean de Luz, a picturesque seaside village with a pretty centre with strong Basque influences, lovely beach. There is a basque festival in summer, with street music and a great atmosphere. In winter you can choose from several ski resorts for skiing, snow boarding or snow shoeing, the closest is about a 40 minute drive, Boutx Le Mourtis. Bagnères de Luchon is under 1 hour from us, the locals call it La Reine des Pyrénees, the queen of the Pyrenees! It has been a well known spa town for centuries, famous for its Thermal springs, first discovered by the Romans, and elegant town houses. It has its own ski resort, Superbagnères, which in winter is connected to the town via a cable car, but is worth driving up to outside the skiing season for the fantastic views from the top and hikes that start from there. The road to Superbagneres is also a great cycling climb. Other ski resorts all within 40 minutes to a good hours drive from us: Bourg d'Oueil, Peyragudes and Nistos Cap Nestes. Loudet is a very small village without any shops. There is a small supermarket (with bread depot), a post office and a bar just 2,5 km away in the next village, Saint Plancard. The town of Montréjeau is ca. 10 minutes by car: two supermarkets, a variety of bakeries, shops, restaurants, tourist office, weekly market etc. Towns of St. Gaudens and Lannemezan are both 10 miles away, with more shops, restaurants and facilities on offer. The Tour de France makes its way through the Pyrenees every year, so why not join us on the bike for some of the best cycling available in Europe, follow in the footsteps of the tour heroes to tackle some of the great Cols. There are excellent walking opportunities for all levels, some lovely walks can be done straight from our house. Our land is bordered by the Canal de Franquevielle, we have a gate leading onto the footpath running along the canal, a wonderful walk where the canal meanders through meadows, fields and forests, it would also be ideal if you fancied a morning jog. The long distance hiking trail GR86 (from Aurignac to Bagnères de Luchon, 154km) passes through LeCuing, a village a few minutes from us. Canoeing, rafting and kayaking on the river Garonne.

Photographs cannot do this location justice – the wonderful quality of the light and the air, and the sheer majesty of the mountains. The gite is finished to the highest of standards, with attention to every detail, and contains everything you could want, from dishwasher and washing machine to electric kettle, wood-burning stove and a TV/film package for cosy evenings in. Marianne and Brian are perfect hosts – available but discreet, and totally committed to making their guests comfortable. We can thoroughly recommend.

When we arrived at this gite Marianne and Brian were very welcoming. Warm and friendly people who are there when you need them, but also very discrete. The gite is perfect! We spent 3 fantastic days in Gîte le Fournil. Marianne and Brian were perfect hosts, really kind, close and nice with our daugthers. A complete basket with fresh fruit, amazing home-made fig jam and basic things we could need in our first day (milk, juice, cake...) were provided. The Gîte was absolutly fantastic and fully equiped. The garden and area around the swimming pool delighted the kids. The surroundings of the house were also really nice: we could visit little villages around, the Pyrinees and the Easter festival in Montréjeau. It has been a great time spent there! What a lovely place to stay at! Marianne and Brian are super keen hosts, they will share a loaf of bread or a spare computer cable (should you need one) and won't spare efforts to help you enjoy. your stay at The Fournil. A great place to discover the area (it is central, quiet and peaceful too) and to enjoy a calming view of the mountains. We hope to come back to enjoy the pool!

Every once and a while you experience something so special in life that you just wish you could keep it entirely for yourself, a treasure you might jealously hoard. This is how my family and I felt about Marianne and Brian's gite in Loudet, but only for a minute: instead, we want to shout from the rooftop that this is the most perfect vacation getaway with easy access to the Pyrenees, a quiet refuge from all city life. Let me start with the view and setting: from the front porch or the adjacent garden and pool, one looks out in the distance in May on snow-capped Pyrenees, with a view almost to Spain. Gardens and pastures and dappled hedgerows expand immediately in front of you. Within the gite, Marianne and Brian have designed ideal, if not perfect, spaces. The kitchen could not be better appointed with equipment so new and well chosen that I thought I was the first to whip up a meal there. Every utensil is just right, and not a single thing too much. I could not think of a meal I could NOT have made--and with lovely fresh ingredients available at the surprisingly comprehensive markets and supermarkets. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are cosy, with amazing old beams exposed and shaped; anyone who admires fine woodwork will inspect the craftsmanship time and again. The all-modern bath could not be better designed, especially the lighting. A great jump-off for all sorts of Pyrenees adventures, but one might be tempted to rest at home, read novels, check email, and drink in the vista...and perhaps spend a little quality time with Monty, a first-rate canine companion!

We stayed in the bed and breakfast with our children two nights, behoren staying in the gite. The children had their own room, which they really liked. The rooms are big, very nice decorated and very hygienic! The bed is great. We got spoiled at breakfast! We could use the garden and nice swimming pool with splended view! We can really recommand this bed and breakfast.

Marianne and Brian made us feel at home and were extremely accommodating towards our needs. They were very forthcoming, always making sure our family felt well received and taken care of. The setting is beautiful, the rooms spacious, airy, clean and very homely. It was the perfect short stay for us who just wanted to get away from the city. Marianne and Brian introduced us to their other guests which contributed to a very friendly, relaxed and familiar atmosphere. We would consider staying for a bit longer next time (possibly in the cottage as this would be even better for a family) as it is the perfect base from which to explore the area, go on a bike ride or simply to relax at. It is truly a wonderful B&B.

Mon logement est proche de balades dans les Pyrénées, en campagne, vente à la ferme de fromages,de fruits et légumes, de lait proches. Tout autre commerce, commodités et grandes surfaces à moins de 10minutes en voiture. Vous apprécierez mon logement pour le calme, la vue, la tranquillité.. Mon logement est parfait pour les couples, les familles (avec enfants), les grands groupes et les compagnons à quatre pattes.

Home 45 minutes to the Pyrenees mountains & ski stations. Beautiful 19th century house with modern amenities, central heat, modern kitchen. Great for small or large families and retreats. Ancienne ferme rénovée, indépendante, permettant d'accueillir 6 à 8 personnes, cuisine entièrement équipée très cosy avec un petit espace salon aménagé autour d'un poêle à bois, salle de bain avec douche italienne, 3 chambres, dans un cadre idyllique pour l'observation de la faune sauvage, vue dégagée sur les Pyrénées.

Situé au coeur d'un parc privé et clôturé de 50 ha, à la lisière des bois, il permet d'observer certaines espèces de faune sauvage (daims, biches, cerfs, chevreuils, canards sauvages, hérons, lièvres...) point de départ de nombreuses balades et randonnées.

Très bon séjour : l'accueil est bienveillant, le cadre est superbe, le logement est propre, bien rénové. Les enfants étaient ravis de voir les chevaux, les biches et les autres animaux. Nous conseillons ce logement et y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Nous avons reçu un accueil vraiment chaleureux chez Mijo. La chambre était impeccable et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le cadre est incroyable (piscine avec vue sur les Pyrénées, un petit coin de paradis !). Si vous passez dans le coin, il vous faut faire une halte chez Mijo pour découvrir sa gentillesse et sa bonne humeur !!

Chateau of 900 sq meters, extensive gardens, swimming pool/heated jacuzzi. cook/cleaner in adjoining property. ideal for family break, or family reunions/celebrations. Many things for children, trampoline, table tennis, badminton, 45 mins from nearest skiing, tennis & golf nearby, 8 bedrooms on suite. Ideal for groups of 8+, but happy to consider smaller bookings. 4+ people.

the chateau was built in 1890's it is warm in winter / cool in summer, ideal for a quiet break. Electric gates and self contained garden make it ideal for families with young children. There is a very large swimming pool, Heated Jacuzzi for 8 people, pool table, table tennis, trampoline, children swings, competition standard table football. Many items for young children.

Montrejeau is a quiet town, almost exactly in the middle of the Pyrenees. Turn left from our door and you can get the Atlantic coast, Biarritz in two hours. Turn right and you can be at the Mediterranean, Narbone again in two hours, or go South & in 30 Minutes you will be halfway through the Pyrenees and in Spain. Lourds is 40 minutes by car.

What a lovely home, and week. This place is MASSIVE. We were a party of 11 at the busiest point of our holiday, and it never felt crowded or cramped. The house itself is beautiful, all the rooms were huge, and we had everything we needed to feel at home: from things to do, to the more practical stuff like good kitchen utensils etc. Loads of bedding, towels...all those 'extra' little perks you get from being in an actual home. Pool, Jacuzzi, huge garden, tree-swings, terrace, hammocks...the pictures only do partial justice: this house was perfect for us, and i definitely recommend it. Well furnished, stocked and presented. The weather turned on us after a couple of days, so we made good use of the indoor facilities. The 3 levels mean you can be part of the group, or find quiet and space somewhere else. We also ventured out, to town and to Toulouse mostly. Town is pretty quiet, and spartan. Not a great deal to do, unless you travel further away (Toulouse, Lourdes, and a couple other bigger towns/cities are only an - easy - hour away in a car). The famous Gargas caves are nearby too, and the Lake at the foot of town is also worth a visit. We took a day to wander round and get a sense of what's local, and then found ourselves better equipped to exploit whats about (the lake, for instance, has a place to take BBQs, and has pedalos...you could spend a whole day there if the weather was good). Can't comment on public transport; we hired cars, which i'd recommend, but the bus and train stations are easy to find and get to. Services look regular, and non-drivers shouldn't be discouraged to give this place a look. If you're a big group on a quiet get-together like us, or a family, you'll definitely appreciate how easy it is to get to the 2 big supermarkets, or wander into town to the bakery or restaurants. The help (Anna and Olek) were brilliant. Always around if needed, but left us to it and respected our privacy and needs. Gregory is similarly available and respectful. Made sure we were well accommodated with information, messaged to check in on us and make sure things were good, but also left us to enjoy our holiday. A perfect host.

Marvellous! The chateau was incredible. Everything we hoped for and more. The rooms were all spacious, nicely adorned and had their own ensuite. The living areas were stylish and comfortable. Over the week we enjoyed the pool, sauna, large manicured garden and badminton. It was child friendly too! The care takers Oleg and Anna were courteaus and helpful, always acting discretely. The location Montréjeau in the Pyrenees is great; the views are breathtaking. The town has a great market on Mondays (just a short walk away), and the local croissants and pain au chocolat were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time in Gregory's Chateau. The property is very beautiful and well maintained. It is even nicer than the pictures would suggest. There is a lot to do inside and around the house to keep even bigger groups entertained: Billiard, table soccer, playstation, pool, jacuzzi, trampoline just to mention some possibilities. There are also a lot of board games in the library. There is a fireplace in the living room for a perfect castle experience during winter nights. The heating works extremely well for such a big and old building and it was (in February) always comfortable and warm in the whole house. The garden is huge and beautiful and perfect for an afternoon stroll on your own property! Although we did not meet Gregory in person, he was always available via phone and answered every request immediately. Oleg and Nastia, who are taking care of the house are living next door and are extremely helpful: They even offered to come after dinner to clean the kitchen or the bedrooms and try to accommodate any need you have. The village is very cute and laid back with very nice views from the house on the mountains and the river Garonne. There is a big supermarket nearby and it is less than one hour drive to nice skiing areas around. We would definitely recommend and hopefully will come back here soon!

Maison situé dans le Comminges, dans un quartier calme. Proche de la frontière espagnole à 27km. Saint bertrand de comminges à 10km. A proximité des montagnes pyrénéennes à 40km de Luchon avec ses stations de ski (Superbagnères, Peyragudes, Le Mourtis...).

L'accueil des parents de Marion a été chaleureux. Ils se sont rendus disponibles en cas de besoin. Le logement est confortable. La literie est très confortable. L'espace autour de la maison est parfaitement clos. Le véhicule peut être garé dans la cour. Le panorama sur la chaîne des Pyrénées est superbe. Le quartier est calme et des chemins permettent de randonner facilement.

C'est une bâtisse ancienne rénovée très charmante avec une vue sur les Pyrénées, au premier étage, sympa. Le style nous a plu. Il y a de grandes chambres mis à part un petit salon si l'on est 12, mais correcte. Le petit hic, la maison était quand même poussiéreuse. Après c'est un lieu tranquille. Parfait pour passer de bons moments avec la famille et profiter de la nature. Seul petit hic aussi, la cloche de l'église le matin. Ca dépend de votre sommeil. Sinon il y a la vue sur les Pyrénées, au premier étage qui est très agréable aussi. Dommage pour la wifi mais pas de connexion et dernier conseil utilisez le poêle raisonnablement car la chaleur dans le salon peut être dérangeante.

I enjoyed my stay at this lovely home. The hosts were exceptionally gracious and did everything they could to see that I was comfortable and had what I needed. The room is private (upstairs), spacious and comfortable with a view over a lovely garden. J'ai apprécié mon séjour dans cette belle maison. Les hôtes étaient exceptionnellement courtois et ont fait tout ce qu'ils pouvaient pour voir que j'était confortable et avait ce qu'il me fallait. La chambre est privée (à l'étage), spacieuses et confortables avec vue sur un joli jardin.

Natalie was very warm and welcoming. The apartment is large and comfortable and, for those who wish, comes with a bonus very friendly cat. On arrival, the wifi did not work and the hosts very kindly went to great trouble and effort to get it working quickly. Montrejeau is a very convenient base for touring the Pyrenees by car. There are numerous interesting sights nearby and good hiking in the nearby hills. The weekly market on Monday is excellent.
