Entertainment
“Great place to walk, shop, and play. Get a HOLLYWOOD feeling with the magic of this place. I grew up here and there are often live musicians/entertainers, fun things for adults/kids, huge movie theater. There is a free tram that takes you up from Lankershim street and the bus station. BUT BEWARE PARKING IN THE BUS PARKING LOT (they will give tickets. Youre better off taking uber/lyft or take lankershem south of Ventura blvd finding a street with no signs (1nice 10 min walk through the neighborhood. ”

Coffee Shop
“Perhaps the place where craft coffee really took off in Los Angeles back in 2007, this Silver Lake coffee bar still has excellent coffee brewed by the cup or via espresso. And that patio is the perfect snapshot of Eastside culture. ”

Café
“This is our favorite breakfast and brunch spot in Venice. Gjusta offers baked goods, breakfast bowls, deli sandwiches (with house cured gravlax), amazing salads and veggies and pizza. It looks very basic from the outside, but inside it's got a very industrial trendy vibe with lots of trendy clientele. Plus, it's not expensive. Tip, get there early to have a baklava croissant - they sell out by 11am most days. Beet gravlax is also one of our favorites.”

Café
“Housed in two historic bungalows, this cottage-like café serves large plates of gourmet American classics—with breakfast items served until 5pm, salads, skillet-roasted chicken, hot paninis and more—loved by locals. Brunch is one of the most popular times to see and be seen here, especially out on that killer patio, so be sure to grab Alcove’s very own chocolate bars and some baked goods from the pastry window while you wait for a seat. The adjacent Big Bar offers hand-crafted cocktails, craft beers and fine wines alongside reinvented bar food, not to mention some of the most fun themed beverage menus in town.”
