Magnificent view of Boston Hill mines that made Silver City and great trail access near my home.
  • Awesome spot for a weary backpacker to reset before doing more hiking in the Gila! I did some laundry, cooking, and got local tips from Julie who knows the great outdoors in & around Silver City. I made some new friends!

  • Great value and location right in town, convenient to everything. Beautiful, well stocked kitchen and cozy sheets and blanket. Julie is a wonderful host and generous with giving assistance and local tips. Felt very comfortable there and enjoyed my stay.

  • Julie’s place was so quaint and quiet, I booked it a second time!

  • Julie was sweet, friendly, and accommodating. She was very flexible with me when I arrived late and left late because my phone failed to switch time zones. Her space was quaint, unique, and very homey. Felt like staying in a cabin owned by an architect lol. 10/10 highly recommend Julie and her home.

  • Great for the price and super convenient to downtown SC.

  • Tamarra was a great host. The space was cute and tidy!

    Gina Marie Taylor2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Only stayed for one night, sadly did not get to meet Tamarra. The room is cosy and you have all you need for your stay. The room was a little cold when I came in but you have a spare heater for you to use so that was perfect.

    Blandine2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cute. Older house. You have a small apartment within it: bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. Walking distance of the old town. Very Artsy touches throughout the place. Tamarra is a great host who interacts with her guests.

Step back into history, to the time of Geronimo and the Wild West. This original bunkhouse has been lovingly restored by a local artist . Geronimo had his last meal as a free man in the Cienega Ranch bunkhouse. The Cienega Ranch was homesteaded by our great great grandfather Augustus Chenowth. Experience the working ranch and the flavor of days gone by. Explore the family graveyard where Uncle Bob's arm is buried along with family and assorted outlaws.
Lot's of room, inside and out. Relax listen to nature surround you. Explore the pond and view native bird species. View more stars than you've ever seen in the dark sky with no abient light!
Remote ranch living with skys that never end. Views of the Chihuacahua and Pelloncillo mountians.
  • Remote getaway, just what we wanted. Very close to Cave Creek, which has gorgeous hiking. The place was just right for two couples. Extra bonus- a 4 wheeling tour of the ranch and surrounds with Rory. Kellye was very responsive and everything was as advertised.

    Peggy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This special, off the beaten path bunkhouse was the perfect spot for our family. We traveled to the area to enjoy hiking in Portal / Coronado National Forest and this location is a short drive to trailheads. The house is sweet, well-equipped and drenched in local history. Our hosts were very kind and took the time to chat about their ranch and give us plenty of tips. We hope to return.

  • Second stay and it was wonderful just as the last time. I really appreciate the small extra things provided like shampoo and conditioner even zip lock bags that would easily be forgotten. Always easy to communicate with the host. Great place we plan stay here every time we go south!

    Cynthia2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place. Cozy and stylish. The kitchen is very well equipped. Many AirBnB kitchens have minimal cooking equipment, but not here. Spices, knives, pots and pans are all here. Nice People an nice place. Highly recommended!

  • Beautiful inn, really cool little town and amazing landscape!

    Amy2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Like weary travelers of yore traversing the Old West Highway, we arrived at this venerable century old inn and were greeted warmly by our charming hosts. The tin-stamped ceilings, the fire in the grate in the front parlor, the old wooden staircase, and the swinging saloon-style doors reminded us of bygone eras and dusty, travel-worn pilgrims. Soon, ensconced in our cozy, dog-friendly quarters we availed ourselves of the little kitchen, then luxuriated in the charming surroundings, the bed, the shower. A door off the kitchen led to our own private courtyard - and beyond a rambling, fascinating garden with sculptures, arches with ancient-looking doorways and plenty to explore. Nearby, across the railroad track, is open, wooded land to wander with canine companions in tow before hitting the trail for far off lands. "And so with men: as one generation comes to life, another dies away.” Homer, The Iliad.

    Charlene2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Travel the Old West Highway to a quiet, sleepy little town for a respite from the busy-ness of the world. Welcoming hosts, beautifully restored rooms, relaxing patio area with delightful surprises at every turn, and an excellent organic breakfast. Highly recommend this hidden treasure.

  • The Simpson Hotel was such a pleasant place to stay. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Lots of history, with original decor. Quite surprised to find this hidden in in the small town of Duncan AZ. Highly recommended.

  • I highly recommend Deborah’s place. We stay here whenever we’re in the area. We love that it’s an historic building with an amazing, eclectic (and always changing), huge garden with all kinds of art and special rocks and designs. If you like artsy and interesting, this is your place. The rooms have historic, unique details as well, from antique radios to vintage furnishings and mirrors. Even though we were surprise, last-minute guests, Debora made sure we had croissants and fruit and chocolate in our room. Also, there’s a sitting room I. The entryway with more art and a bookshelf loaded with books from authors who have stayed there. The resident orange tabby was friendly. The room we stayed in was so good for our puppy as it had its own garden entrance. For a unique, rich lodging experience, book this hotel.

Quaint 1884 brick home within easy walking distance of library, WNMU, downtown restaurants, co-op, and hiking on Boston Hill. Great spot during Tour of the Gila (top of the hill on the criterium course!) or walk to Blues Fest. Enjoy your morning cup of coffee in the sun on the front porch. Grill and have a family dinner on the backyard patio. We hope this house enables you to enjoy a slower-paced life and a comfortable home base to explore the natural beauty, arts, or wildlife of the region.
Bedroom one has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed, both with room-darkening curtains. Perfect for couples or small family. Twin-sized aero bed and extra linens also available. Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, dishes, pans, coffee maker, and cooking essentials (oil, salt & pepper, etc). Right off the kitchen area is a washer. The dryer is located in the garage, which is right out the back door and down a few steps. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo, soap, towels and essentials. Easy-entry shower has grab bars and shower seat. WiFi throughout house. Central heat. AC window units for the hotter months. We do not have a TV and hope you have plenty to do so you won’t miss it! There is a small radio with Bluetooth and USB capabilities to stream your favorite tunes. Enclosed and private back patio has seating area and propane grill. Parking is on-street and shared with other neighbors. Please only park directly in front of house.
  • Only a couple blocks from the historic downtown, so the location was perfect. Many modern touches in the interior which blend well with the old charm of the house. With all the windows, the natural lighting was appreciated. . The back patio was a splendid spot to have an afternoon cocktail. The whole house was spotless and she left a few starter items in the refrigerator, like cream for our coffee. Many little touches throughout the house. Revel was an excellent restaurant in town.

  • This is a great little cottage in a terrific location for exploring the best of Silver City. You have everything nearby from galleries, good coffee, delicious restaurants, and friendly people. It's also just a short drive to the Gila forest for hikes. The cottage accommodated us perfectly. Cozy beds, great shower, functional kitchen and very clean.

    Christie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. It was perfect for 2 couples. The bedrooms were large and had nice closets. The location was nice, within walking distance of downtown. I was confused by the app, and made a mistake in my reservation. The host was very good about working with me.

    Denise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay in Silver City while we explored the Gila Wilderness! Close to Silver City's main drag with lots of restaurants and shops. Megan provided extra touches such as books, guidebooks, travel suggestions, and games. There was plenty of space for two adults, and this was a comfy place to unwind after a day of hiking.

    Tammy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Desert Cottage in Silver City was a terrific base of operations as we visited the area while touring in the southwest. We travelers were a couple and an adult friend, so the two bedrooms were perfect, and the spacious living room allowed us to relax together after a day of adventure (Gila Nat'l Monument, summit of Boston Hill..). Desert Cottage is spotless, and the kitchen and bathroom appear to have been recently updated, with improvements also to other areas of the house. Communication with Megan, who is a local resident, was easy/timely/efficient, and her knowledge of the area was especially useful. The location of Desert Cottage, in a quiet neighborhood only a short distance from the downtown restaurants, and a few steps from the trailhead on Boston Hill, was a nice feature. All in all, our stay at Desert Cottage lived up to Megan's having earned the "Superhost" tag. The Silver City area really is one of New Mexico's tourist gems, and Desert Cottage is a great place to stay while exploring the area.

  • Unique experience if you haven't slept in an RV. Great deal, very nice and clean accommodation, and the hosts live right there in their house where the RV is parked. It is cozy, comfortable, and nature-filled. The hosts are wonderful. Communication with them is fantastic. Only thing to keep in mind. Although the GPS is highly accurate, the road to this location involves gravel and a hard dirt road. It is a ways off I-10. Plan extra time for this, and you will have a wonderful stay here.

Welcome to our homey southwestern log cabin style, pet friendly apartment. It features a full kitchen, very spacious living room with log beam ceiling and pine paneling, a fireplace and hand-made rustic log furnishings, and includes a queen sofa bed. The large bedroom has a queen log bed. We're located in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown, Boston hill & WNMU. It offers a private entrance and off street parking as well and a fenced and landscaped backyard for guest and shared pet use.
This large rustic SW log cabin style space has 4 separate rooms and over 1000sf, of living area, offering opportunity for privacy and room to stretch out. It was created in the 50's and the spacious log beamed ceiling living room was once used as a dance studio. The kitchen has a country feel with lots of cabinets and older appliances and eating space within. The tiled bathroom has all the essential including a large shower a retro art appeal straight out of the 50's. Except for the bathroom, all the other rooms are large and private and the space is quiet, secure and homey.
The apartment is on the ground level of our home in one of Silver City's older and nicer neighborhoods close to the University. Traffic is light and the neighborhood is quiet and among the safest in the city.

  • We were very comfortable here! Mike and Becky were generous and accommodating and allowed us to get in late. We had a great time at the park. The place is spacious and comfortable. It definitely is a basement apartment, so as long as that is okay with you it's a pleasure to stay.

2 rooms plus a bathroom, with a shady front porch and a small private back deck. Front room is a living room/kitchen with a trundle day bed (can be 2 twins or combined as a king size bed), fridge, stove, oven, toaster, coffeemaker, kettle, sink, and dishware. NOTE: Back bedroom has a DOUBLE/FULL size bed (some couples have noted that they find this small for 2 people - it's a standard size FULL bed), closet, luggage holder, and small shelf and drawer space. Our beds are real, comfy mattresses!
Light, bright, fresh... this is the look/feel we want to convey in the space and decorating. There's a cozy, homey feeling to it.
The Stone Casita is less than a mile from downtown Silver City. It's a downhill walk getting to downtown, and an uphill walk back to the Stone Casita. The Casita is fairly close to the street, so sometimes there's some noise from vehicles or people walking by, but usually it's pretty quiet.
  • This is a very cozy and peaceful spot while being close to the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again.

    Brian2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • I loved everything about this little casita--beautiful light, private, and roomier than I expected, with a great homey vibe. The location was perfect for walking to the symposium at the nearby university, and only a hop, skip, and jump away from downtown. Great little neighborhood spot, felt right at home. Would definitely stay here again.

    Cedra2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great little home close to downtown. Had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The Casita was clean, comfortable and we'll stocked. Only note is if traveling as a couple the bed is small. Maybe a double bed? I had a great stay and would definetly stay here again.

    Tess2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Jessica's place and hope to return on a future trip! The casita is exactly as pictured and described, very charming and comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook all meals, and Jessica thoughtfully provided coffee, a good assortment of teas, oatmeal, spices, and condiments. Neighborhood is close to the college, and a few minutes drive from downtown Silver City but all was quiet and peaceful.

  • The Stone Casita is a clean & charming stay an easy walk to WNMU, events and eateries in downtown Silver City, or to hiking trailheads in the area. The bed is comfy, there are ample linens, and the water is hot with plenty of pressure. The hosts fully disclose that there is no television but the wi-fi was more than ample and reliable. They also provided many options for warmth if you are visiting during colder seasons, like we were. Our hosts had kindly turned the heat on for our arrival. The kitchen was fully outfitted with everything we needed to prepare full meals, even our Thanksgiving for two. Parking is steps from the front door. Jessica has also put together a binder for points of local interest & history that is worth browsing. We will return.

Our house is a well-equipped home decorated in south western style. It has been rented by visitors from many parts of the world since 2005, some of whom have returned many times. It is situated at the mouth of Cave Creek Canyon in the beautiful Chiricahua Mountains which are noted for their abundance of wildlife and walking trails. The pristine night skies is evidenced by the number of private observatories. For more details visit arizonaskyvillage.co.uk
The house has three bedrooms, one of which is equipped and used as a study. The others are a master bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with shower and large corner bath. The second bedroom has two single beds and is adjacent to the family bathroom with a bath and shower over it. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house making it highly suitable for two couples. The lounge and dining room are combined to form a 'Great Room'. This leads to the well-equipped kitchen and breakfast area. The whole house is air-conditioned by a heat pump which doubles as a heater in cold weather.
Let us introduce you to one of the world's best destinations for lovers of nature and the great outdoors. The Arizona Sky Village was set up to provide astronomers with access to clear, dark skies where they can enjoy and share their hobby with like-minded people. Its location was chosen carefully by Jack Newton, the leading astrophotographer, with astronomy in mind but it also happens to be one of the premiere bird-watching locations in North America and is at the mouth of Cave Creek Canyon in the beautiful Chiricahua Mountains. The village itself is a low-impact development designed to preserve the unspoilt beauty of the area. Single-storey homes on large plots are dotted about in the desert at the foot of the mountains giving access to lovely scenery and a wealth of wildlife. Strict planning rules ensure the night sky remains dark to reveal its natural beauty. Once the stamping grounds of Apache chiefs such as Cochise and Geronimo the area is rich in game. Abundant pottery shards show the sites of former indian camps. Monuments mark the locations of significant events in the history of the area which involved many conflicts between white settlers, Native Americans and Mexicans. Desert birds, mountain birds and migratory species travelling between Mexico and the north make up a rich diet for the bird watcher, whether novice or dedicated twitcher. Javelinas, Coati, Jack Rabbits, Cottontails and many other animals are seen regularly. More rarely mountain lions and black bears may be glimpsed.
  • This is a great location for access to Cave Creek Canyon. It has the bonus of having a collection of telescopes for those with some interest and experience with using such equipment. There also are very helpful instructions about the facilities and the local area.

    Michael2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • First a warning - make sure you have plenty of gas in your tank before you leave civilization proper! The nearest station is 25 miles away and if you come from Tucson its much more than that. Once you get to Arizona Sky Village you will know you are in a unique and special place. Most of the (relatively distant) neighbors have small observatories, and once night falls you will know why. If the night is clear, you will never see more stars in the sky - truly stunning. If you know about telescopes, Neil has a few you can use (I didn't so I did not risk using them myself). The house itself is very nicely appointed and stylishly decorated. It was extremely clean. If you are looking for a getaway in a QUIET, natural setting, you will not be disappointed. And say hello for me to the family of javelinas I met my first evening just after dark, as they passed within a few yards of the house!

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice private place with quality furnishings and art very close to Cave Creek Canyon which is amazing.

    Richard2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Neil’s place is immaculate and sensibly furnished and decorated. The location is convenient to whatever activity attracts you to this unique sky island ecosystem. Neil was exceptionally helpful in assisting me to recover an item left in the home. We much enjoyed our visit.

    Toni2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Do arrive in daylight. Google maps will get you lost. Very comfortable and well appointed, well thought out for all the comforts of home. Great kitchen. Amazing starry night skies.

    Jane2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Neil's place. The views of the mountains are absolutely incredible, and the setting is quiet and peaceful. The kitchen has everything you might need to make a meal, and the house was spacious and clean. I really enjoyed the bird feeders out front--lots of adorable quail, sparrows, and even a roadrunner came to visit! Very close to Portal and amazing birdwatching opportunities up Cave Creek Canyon. I would definitely stay here again.

    Sabine2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for an opportunity to get away from things and do some astronomy. It’s family friendly and clean.

    Joe2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. Clean, lovely decor, everything we needed. The view was to die for, lovely deck with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy your cup of coffee or glass of wine. So quiet, except for the beautiful bird songs and coyote howls which only enhanced the silence. Loved this place. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely visit again. Close to great hiking and driving through Cave Creek Canyon. Oh! And the Portal Cafe has a great breakfast and exceptional coffee. They have a full menu that also looked great, we just didn’t have enough time to experience it all. Also, don’t miss the Chiricahua Desert Museum, it’s exceptional, if you want to know anything about snakes, ask Rachel.

Private bedroom with shared bathroom overlooking Silver City with memorable sunrises over the Eastern Cordillera, The Kneeling Nun & Cooke's Peak. And, how about morning coffee/tea in my backyard gazebo...under pear trees? For a taste of ole New Mexico check out the old chicken coop and hog & goat shelters also in my backyard. Your room includes a desk/dresser & closet and most importantly, a brand-new, queen-sized bed with a Zinus memory-foam mattress. Free parking, of course, in driveway.
I am a new resident myself to Silver City and am trying to furnish with a SW look and a Native American look.
Silver City dates back to the Coronado expeditions of 1520 and has a wild-west history too. Long before Coronado, of course, The Apache loved the high-ground forests for the hunting & fishing and before them The Pueblo. I am in a residential neighborhood on Chihuahua Hill, just below La Cappella.
  • Awesome place! Pete is super friendly and helpful and his place is very clean and convenient to Silver City.

We are delighted to share this beautiful and elegant home with our guests. The Ashton House is located in the heart of Silver City’s famous historical district and a just short walk to downtown where all the art galleries, shops, coffee shops, and restaurants await.
The Ashton House is one of the many beautiful Victorian homes built during Silver City's mining heyday in the late nineteenth century. This brick Queen Anne with six steeply peaked dormers, lovely arched windows and original interior woodwork, was built in 1883 for saloon and gambling parlor owner, Charles Ashton. What makes the Ashton House truly wonderful is not only the beauty of a well-preserved Victorian home, but also our amazing and eclectic art collection that decorates every room, giving the house an almost museum-like quality. This is not your ordinary or typical Airbnb, but rather a truly unique lodging experience and we hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we love living here! We have three guest rooms to offer in this beautiful and welcoming space. The Silver Room has a king bed and rollaway twin bed. There is a private bath with shower. This room accommodates up to three people. Our guest bedrooms, each with en suite baths, are located upstairs. There are common living and dining rooms for everyone to enjoy downstairs as well as a delightful front porch where you can sit and watch the world go by. We offer coffee in the morning to our guests and breakfast-serving restaurants and coffee shops are just a short walk or drive away. This listing is for one room only. If you have a large group (up to seven people) and wish to rent all three of our rooms, please seek out our "Historic Ashton House" Airbnb listing. Sorry, no kitchen facilities available but guests have the use of our coffee service, a small refrigerator, and microwave oven.
Silver City, the little town nestled at the base of the Gila National Forest in southwestern New Mexico, is steeped in history and a destination spot for those seeking a wonderful climate (elevation 5,895’), boundless hiking, or a charming downtown with many art galleries and restaurants. It is also the home of Western New Mexico University, with its distinctive campus overlooking the downtown area.
  • Come to this Beautiful setting on a hill. Step back in time and visit on the large front porch, walk to local dining, after enjoying comfortable beds, and many amenities. Loved the art and furnishings. We felt welcome and comfortable.

  • Ashton House is a great home base for a trip to Silver City. It is historic, well-appointed, convenient, full of wonderful original artwork, peaceful and quiet. As long as you can handle a fairly steep staircase to the second floor, you will love it!

    Jennifer2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kelsey’s bungalow was perfect! We were in town for Southwest Print Fiesta and it was great to be able to just park our car and walk everywhere. The beds were comfy, the whole place was stylish and friendly. There were only two of us but plenty of room for a third person. I’d highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone and hope to be able to come back soon!

Enjoy the outdoors on a small farm brewery in the Gila National Forest. Rustic and remote, stay in our remodeled 1959 mobile scout camper set in the mountains of southern New Mexico. Hiking, biking and vehicle trails, including the CDT are accessible from the farm by foot and car. The farm is home to horses, goats, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs. We have four rotating taps of our wild brews (beer and non-alc). Enjoy a free tasting flight when you check in before dark.
Light and bright vintage camper with covered awning and outdoor chairs. Your own separate space away from the common areas, where we hope you will make yourselves at home. A small woodfired stove inside can be used for cooler nights. There is a closet for hanging clothes and storing luggage. Warm blankets and flashlights provided. The camper is off-grid and has a small solar lantern. A short walk away is the secluded outhouse for privacy. Running hot & cold water, an outdoor shower, wifi, charging, fridge space and cooking items are available by the communal kitchen space by the brewery & where you park. Silver City and Cliff are both a ~30 minutes drive away (closest grocery + gas). Tucson is 3.5 hours and Albuquerque is 5.5 hours driving.
The farm and our neighbors are set inside the Gila National Forest. Red Rock Road leads you in from Hwy 180 along the New Mexico Birding Trail. The roads to the farm are paved until you reach the neighborhood and these last few miles of road are dirt. They are passable by all cars except during the most inclement weather when alternative means can be arranged. We recommend you plan to arrive before dark as there are no road lights out in the forest.
  • Staying at Page’s place was an amazing experience. The hosts are super friendly and we loved talking to them. It’s a beautiful area and the dogs are absolutely lovely. We definitely recommend this airbnb for everyone who likes a little bit of an adventure!

  • This is a beautiful house with an incredible view of the mountains! And it is overwhelmingly quiet. I very much appreciated the full kitchen that you can really cook in and the website information that Brian provided.

    Cathy2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place in all ways for anyone wanting to explore the Cave Creek area...

    Bruce2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Easy, clean, beautiful place. Second property of Brian's I've stayed in and we will do so again.

    Bryan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Brian’s house is beautifully appointed and set in a tranquil location in open country looking directly from the living room into Cave Creek Canyon. The morning light shines directly onto the stunning canyon walls. The kitchen is set up for serious cooking and the entire house is very comfortable and seems very new.

    John2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The view from the living room floor to ceiling windows, the back porch, and the front porch is absolutely stunning. I loved watching the sunset each night, listening to the coyotes howl, and then coming back out in an hour or two when the stars were breath taking.

    JamieSue2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, spacious and really comfortable. Right from the living room, we watched coyotes, javalinas, jack rabbits, cottontails and lots of birds. We would definitely stay here again.

    Andy2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location at Star Village. Convenient location for everything in Portal

    Tony2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brian's house offers a clean and comfortable modern home with lots of privacy and incredibly dark skies. The Milky Way was clearly visible with only a few minutes of adjustment. And the silence.... Absolutely breathtaking and so needed. I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a desert in August, but there were only a couple of times in the afternoons that kept us inside. The evenings were delightfully cool and unbelievably fragrant after the rains. We watched the desert transform in the week we stayed there. And the wildlife was a constant show. We're already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!

  • Great place and host! Shelly and her dog and cat live on the premises but you feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. My friend is highly allergic to cats and had no issues. Take time to read the amazing books on DIY house construction (cob and straw bale). Umbrellas and yoga mat were nice touches!

  • Shelly's place is beautiful and in a perfect location for venturing out in Silver City, being just two short blocks back from Bullard Street. Shelly is an extremely friendly and informative host. She puts a lot of effort into her B'n'B to keep it in perfect condition. The decor is worth a visit alone. If/when I next visit Silver City I could think of no other place I would want to stay. Five stars for everything.

After hiking or mountain biking in the Gila, soaking in hot springs, or exploring galleries & coffee shops in Silver City, relax in a sweet little casita "Tiny House" (420 sq ft) in a country setting - you can hike Boston Hill right outside the door. Enjoy breathtaking views - on clear days all the way to Mexico. Enjoy cooking your meals, deep bathtub with a colorful mosaic. Two can sleep in the double sleigh bed, plus there is a double size futon, and a roll away cot, all this in a tiny house.
The Casita is a cosy 420sq ft space with French doors opening to the east, southern windows, and a double sliding door to the west. It is a small, simple, and somewhat rustic, yet inviting space that is perfect for relaxing in between outdoor adventures. It is my getaway space that I'm opening up to share with others when I'm not there myself. Rustic = it has unfinished concrete floors, except in the bathroom which has beautiful black and white checkerboard 12" tiles. Also, the only heat in the winter is from electric space heaters. Consequently I do not have open reservations during the winter, if you are willing to experience the casita like this, message me. If you are interested in booking with me, please feel free to message me, as I do not have any dates open except upon request.
The casita is located on Boston Hill. Acres of hiking is available right outside the front door. You can hike across Boston Hill to get to downtown Silver City, about a 2 mile hike. Silver City is home to several art galleries, fine restaurants such as Diane's, and live music at the Little Toad Creek. Sundays at noon, live music is heard at the Tranquil Buzz Coffee Shop.
  • Erica’s place was great! It’s a little house at the end of a shared driveway just a few minutes from silver city. The location is great, we were close to the city and not to far from Gila either! Erica is super awesome too, responds super fast, and is really kind. This place does have a camping feeling to it since there is no WiFi but we were busy out and about anyway. Definitely loved my stay here!

  • Buzzy’s bungalow was outstanding! Clean, great amenities, homey hospitality abound! Without a doubt stay here when in Silver!

    Patrick2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Buzzy's Bungalow is one of those places that is small but efficient Cleverly designed, it makes good use of every square foot. Diane is a dedicated gardener so even in February it was lovely. If you travel with dogs you couldn't find a better spot. Willie and Bozwell should be writing this review. They and Diane really hit it off. Thanks Diane.

  • Cute, cozy little place for a small group! Really nice vibes, very vintage look and feel. The garden is a very relaxing place to spend time. The owners are very communicative. Really appreciated the tea and breakfast food <3

    Nat2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Martha's home in Silver City is charming, well-decorated, warm, cozy, quiet, and conveniently located. We appreciated the use of the large kitchen and the pleasant eating area. Even though we stayed there in the darkest and coldest time of the year, we felt warm and comfortable throughout our stay. It was kind of Aaron to bring us some breakfast foods, and both he and Martha were kind and friendly toward us--this despite the late notice we had to give them that we were interested in staying in the home. Thanks, Martha and Aaron!

    Phil2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Martha and Aaron were very attentive hosts. The house is very sweet, friendly and tastefully decorated. The heaters were super efficient in the NM winter and that was great (especially with a child). We have a 4 year old and Penny Park is literally a stone's throw from the place -- our daughter LOVED this amazing park. The historic downtown is a 15 minutes walk. The neighborhood is quiet. All in all - a very pleasant experience at Martha's cottage. Thank you!

Casa del Mosaic is Silver City artist Cecilia Stanford's home and studio part of the year, and filled with her collection of eclectic art and crafts, as well as her own mosaics. Just several blocks from the greenspace of historic Boston Hill, miles of hiking and biking trails. Casa del Mosaic is available by the month or longer, and is a non-smoking, handicapped accessible home. Artist studio space is available upon request.
The home is approximately 2,000 square feet. The art studio is in the other half of the building, with about 800 square feet of available space for an additional fee. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to assist you in a creative opportunity. Ceramic and glass kilns are available, with ample work tables and the northern light is great.
My home was the first lumberyard in Silver City, located less than one mile from old downtown. A trail head onto Boston Hill, an historic mining area and greenspace has many hiking and mountain biking trails.
  • Casa de Mosaic is an art lovers treat. The wonderful collection of Mexican folk art, paintings and sculpture by local artists makes this home a very special place. All of the amenities, including a well outfitted kitchen, were there. The location is just minutes from Silver City's historic district where there are shops, galleries and great restaurants.

This cabin is completely off the grid, about 40 mins from town. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms with a kitchenette. There is a living room and den with a pool table, both rooms are heated with wood burning stoves. 4 wheel drive is needed during inclement weather. The home also used solar panels, a well, and propane. This cabin sits on 30 acres that borders state property, giving plenty of nature and solitude. This is a great property for those looking to unplug.
You will need 4 wheel drive when raining to reach the cabin. The main heat source are the 2 wood burning stoves in the living room and den, so you will need to know how to start a fire. This cabin does display many animal mounts, including deer, buffalo, and bear. They are hanging in the living room and the den. There is cable television, but no internet service. Cell service is hit and miss. There are places in the cabin that have better reception, but don't be surprised if you drop calls in other spots in the cabin. Once you book we will send a house manual that will have a map, along with other details that will help make your stay in the cabin most enjoyable. We can also arrange to meet you in town when you arrive and you can follow us to the cabin. We will show you how to operate the heaters, generators, pump, and wood stoves. There are 2 wall heaters available as a back up heating source, $20 fee will be charged if you do decide to use them. The heat given off from the wood stoves is plenty, the heaters are used as back up.
Cabin sits on 30 acres that back up to state land. This cabin has all the amenities of home, along with wilderness and serenity.
  • Cool spot to spend some time. Location is great if you're truly looking to get away from society. Large windows and deck great for taking in the scenery. Good access for exploring the canyons below. Nick mentions it, but if animal mounts aren't your thing, there are a handful. If it has rained/snowed recently, 4x4 is an absolute must. Good tires and experience will help too. This is only needed the last 2 miles in inclement weather. Otherwise you're good to go. Nick super responsive. Cozy cabin.

This freshly remodeled two bedroom house sits on a hill on the west edge of downtown Silver City. It has sweeping views of the town and the surrounding mountains. It sits on over two acres well off the street and is private and quiet.
The house was redone in Dec. 2014. It has oak hardwood floors throughout, with slate floors in the bathroom. Countertops are beautiful granite. The master has a queen bed. There is a full bed in the second bedroom. The beds have luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets. The house is about 700 square feet. From the master bedroom and the deck, the views are massive, overlooking the town and the mountain ranges to the north and east. It is a beautiful spot from which to watch sunrises, our ever changing skies, or to lay in bed and watch the moon come up. The house is one of three cottages that sit on over two acres. The property straddles the city limit, and we are the last houses on this edge of town. The house sits well back from the road and there is a wooded canyon directly behind it, making it very private and quiet. We have no close neighbors, and the houses are separate from each other and private. The home's adobe construction adds to the quiet and helps keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. Guests enjoy walking to downtown, which is less than a mile straight down the street. The house also has great access to miles of city open space hiking trails, with the trailhead one quarter mile up the street. WNMU is less than half a mile away.
This location is unique because it feels like being out in the country even though it is close to downtown. For those who enjoy quiet and privacy but want to be close in, we are a great option. The canyon behind the house is a wildlife haven, and we regularly have deer visiting, as well as over 25 species of birds. We have seen javelinas, foxes, raccoons, skunks, a coati mundi (probably), squirrels, rabbits, quail coveys, and non venomous snakes, among other critters, on occasion.
  • Very clean. Charles took care with many details before we arrived. We wondered if we needed to buy aluminum foil to heat our dinner. He provided it. We needed a few paper plates to augment the nice ceramic dishes he provided. Yes, there were already paper plates - the same brand and type we buy for ourselves at home. Several inches of snow fell early in the morning. Charles swept the walk before we began loading our stuff into the car. Framed art on the walls was very tasteful. The list goes on.

    Mark2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay! There was everything you could possibly need, from a toothbrush to spices in the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable with very nice linens. The WiFi was fast and couch was comfortable. If I am ever in the area again, hands down I would choose Charles’s place again!

  • This cute little apartment is perfect for two or three people. It's an easy walk to the college, the shops, and the galleries. The apartment is stocked with all the basic essentials, organic only. Ellen is a great host, generous with advice about the town and each morning she delivers a basket of delicious, warm, homemade muffins. We would definitely recommend Adobe Agave #2.

  • This space was perfect for my needs. It was sparkling clean, quite, had a functional kitchen and a cozy feel. I would recommend this place without hesitation.

    Brian2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen's place was easy to find in a sweet, quiet and safe neighborhood. We really liked the charm of the historic adobe apartment that she has turned into very comfortable guest quarters. It felt like our adobe home in that it resonates with lives lived, but also was clean and comfortable for contemporary enjoyment, with beautiful dishes and cookware, great coffee and fantastic bedding and linens. My son and I also appreciated her delicious vegan muffins (which we requested and she willingly baked), her generous offer of late check out and the local info she provided. We hiked nearby Boston HIll and enjoyed eating at Revel, which she recommended. I highly recommend Adobe Agave to anyone staying in Silver City.

    Julie And Scott2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen was one of the best airbnb hosts we have encountered. The muffins in the morning are amazing. She truly goes above and beyond.

    Sarah Jean2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • A simple adobe get-away with home-style amenities, plus a thoughtful host, made our stay very comfortable for an extended weekend. Our last evening we just walked downtown to a restaurant on Bullard Street (several to choose from), and to our surprise the town was setting up for their Holiday Lights Parade, right outside the restaurant window. We could have stayed longer, exploring more of the hiking trails nearby, but we'll be back!

Mountain View Suite Never before rented. This is part of a 3 unit building. 1 bedroom with queen size bed, 1.5 bath, fully equipped kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. Amenities: washer/dryer, AC, Wifi, Amazon Fire TV stick. Located near Animas, New Mexico and Rodeo, New Mexico. Very close to Arizona. This area is ideal for Birders and Astronomers.
  • Highly recommended. Very completely furnished, including dryer sheets if you need to do laundry. Perfect if you're planning to cook, because the kitchen has everything you'd need. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and it was easy-in/easy-out in terms of directions and parking. Wouldn't change anything and would definitely stay here again.

  • Brian’s place is clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious for one person and would be nice size for a couple too. Only 20 minutes from gorgeous mountain hikes.

  • Easy to access, beautiful scenic views of the surrounding area. Quiet and peaceful, night skies are amazing. People in the area are friendly. Bring what you need to cook as this is a remote area meant for nature lovers and stargazers. I encourage and recommend anyone wanting to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city to check out this Airbnb!!!!

  • As someone who travels a lot by himself and looking to stay in a rural area, it can be difficult to find anything other than a 3 bedroom house or a private room. This unit was the perfect fit for me and made a longer stay much more cost effective. Brian's place is amazing value for money. The unit is nicely furnished and has a full kitchen, which is important in an area with few restaurants. The location is fantastic, with great views and the nighttime sky is amazing!

  • This place is a great value if you're looking to stay in quiet and solitude of NM bootheel and SW Arizona, which I was. Place is spacious with views and full kitchen with all you need to cook, including spices! Moon and stars are beautiful here as it's very dark at night. Since you're in very rural area, here's gas and food situation: There's gas in Animas and Hatchita and a independent grocery store in Lordsburg. Pictures and description are accurate, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brian's place and would definitely stay again!

  • Such a great place! HUGE bedroom, nice hot tub, and very clean. Everything was nicely labeled so we could find and use all that we needed. Walkable to trails and downtown, but do note that there are big hills (which make for nice views!). Would definitely stay here again, it was perfect!

The location in the old town is convenient to everything, the place is really tastefully decorated, and the kitchen is perfect for extended stays. And it's true. The king bed is really comfortable.
