Good home. We spent a night in an old small miner's house, very well restored. The bedding and the equipment were new and comfortable. The pool more real by summer temperatures after a long journey. The calm and peaceful surroundings give us the idea to go through there to go hiking.

We have been one week in Les Mines Osor, an ideal place to disconnect, surrounded by silence and nature, and history. The house is very clean and equipped to spend dies.Bé Child as a swimming pool (very nice and clean), pediment and playground. Interesting excursions nearby: Osor, Old English, Susqueda, Virgen del Coll, Olot-Girona Greenway for biking and many trails. Value for money either. Car essential.

The apartment is well. The best area is the starting point for mountain hiking. Marti has been very attentive. Very good overall experience :)

This is a cozy little one-room bungalow situated in a beautiful setting. The nearby town is lovely and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. While we were only there for a very brief stay before some hiking the next day (it provides easy access to nearby hiking as well as the Garrotxa volcanic zone), I would definitely recommend it and would return. It was smaller than the pictures and description online implied, but it was very adequate for us, had all the necessary kitchen supplies as well as toilet, running water and heat inside the bungalow. We quite enjoyed this cozy bungalow and the beautiful area.

The place is in an isolated little village righ in the middle of the mountains and is a total surprise. One minute you are in the middle of nowhere and around the next bend is a picturesque village. The camsite is just of the edge of the village, two minutes walk over a little bridge. You get the wild mountains and the village life all in one. The cabin we stayed in was warm and cosy with comfortable beds and the washroomd right next door with very hot water. I would thouroughly recomment the place.

A very good experience in an environment and a very nice quiet place, welcomed us to make us feel at home from the start. All very clean and in perfect condition, and a very original and charming place to spend a night.

We'd get tired of walking and met with a warm welcome. A fantastic and welcoming home. All were small details, fresh flowers in every room and garden care with love. We had a wunderful stay at Maites place. Maite is a very kind host and the house is placed very nicely close to the river. Maite knows a lot about attractions in the area and we visited some very beautyfull waterfalls, that we would not have found unless she had told us about them. We also had dinner with her, her daughter and the neighbors one night, which my family and I enjoyed very much. This was really a nice place that I can recommend.

My family and I loved staying at this house for 2 nights and with Maite. It was a unique experience. We were made very welcome despite our late arrival due to unexpected delays at the airport. The first phrase that came from my daughters mouth was 'Muy tranquilo', which it was here in abundance. Maite retrieved us from the dark street and welcomed us in to her home and prepared us a delicious mouth-watering snack with corgette, ham, egg and cheese. The rest of our short 2 night stay was filled with just as enjoyable memories. Maite's home is a work of art, a lovingly converted farm building. The restoration and style, including furniture, pieces of art are as unique as our experience here was. It needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. My children were made extremely welcome and were delighted at the number of rabbits which they were gladly allowed to enter the cage of and handle. Maite's dog, a gentle Golden Retriever snoozed in the garden whilst Maite left us to tend the barbecue when she went to get some supplies from the shop for an evening meal. She made us some typical Catalan dishes - by far the most formidable and favourite meal we had during our entire 2 week stay in Catalonia. I was entrusted with cooking the meat and when I naively asked for fire-lighters for the barbecue Maite simply nipped across the road to gather some sticks from under a tree! We are lazy in the city - I had forgotten this basic skill and thank Maite for the gentle reminder of how to make a fire! A member of Maite's family took us to the nearby gorge on our second day, which we never would have found in any guide book, they showed us to the supermarket. This was a perfect welcome to Catalonia and forced us to slow our pace right down after a hectic year in the UK - to a suitable speed with which to commence the rest of our holiday that was on a campsite in Sa Riera, Begur. As each member of my family has contributed to this review I cannot neglect to mention that my youngest liked the toilet seat in the bathroom! We all were so calm, happy and slightly enchanted after our stay with Maite. Muy muy tranquilo. Moltes gràcies.

Small apartment, comfortable and well equipped. The exteriors are luxurious, with a pool, a barbecue and a tent at the entrance of the house gave a fabulous shade. There were going to the greenway from Olot, but seeing that around the house and the people gave much if we change plans. The attention of owners is exquisite in both Salvi and his parents really make you feel at home. Definitely recommend the accommodation.

Salvi and his father Tomas are attentive and discreet hosts. Small functional apartment in a huge old house. The building has a history of almost five centuries Tomas will be happy to tell you. Although renovated, the building's age that the openings are small, the two pieces are dark and it lacks a bit of storage for suitcases; This is partially offset by an attractive terrace on the front for dining and overlooks the pool where it is pleasant to bask at the end of a day trip. The house is isolated from the village, you need a car to get there as at ease to explore the regions of Olot and Girona. Very good typical restaurant in the nearby village, 3 km to Olot, where you eat wonderfully noon.

Mas Moner was an awesome place to stay! A bit tough to find the very first time, but great location to explore from. Salvi was very helpful and suggested places to visit. It was extremely hot being July so we were so thankful to be able to enjoy the pool! Highly recommend.

The apartment is smaller than it seemed in the photos, and even a problem we had in the bathroom, the rest was pretty good. The fireplace is cozy and comfortable. And we Salvi recommended places to visit very charming. Both he and his partner are charming.

We spent almost a week in the apartment and the stay was perfect. The apartment is tiny, ideal for 2 people and has everything. The best is its environment: pool, barbecue, nature and tranquility. Nearby beautiful places on foot and by car, and the greenway, to ride beside. The best place to unwind and relax. Thank Salvi, Sockets & Candy for making us feel at home, and treat us with such kindness.

We have spent a fantastic weekend in a beautiful house with all the comforts and facilities you can imagine. Isabel was very friendly and took care of us very much, has made very good recommendations and has been attentive at all times. Can be Teixidor has been a fantastic experience, I have disconnected from the city, rumors, smells, stress and I've been so comfortable. The cottage is surrounded by nature, there is much silence, only birds, the wind moves the leaves, the two dogs looking for you to say hello, kittens meow, is exactly what I wanted. Isabel has been a special hostess, if you need is always available, if you want to take advantage of nature and the environment, are in full freedom and you do not realize it is. I really want to go back.

Maria & Fernando were amazing hosts who couldn't do enough to help and cater to all our needs. We were a large group from many countries who were all comfortable and able to enjoy the space of their beautiful home. The setting was idillic and the rooms clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place and would love to be able to come back. Even the little touches like fresh eggs and bread bought each morning made the world of difference to us. Thanks so much!

This was a beautiful stay. Plenty of hiking and biking trails nearby. The kids loved exploring the nearby wooded area and making forts. Fernando was a very gracious host and helped us find our way around and answered all our questions. Cozy house with lots of history.

Fantastic experience. The hosts treated us like part of the family (Ferran even brought bread on Sunday) and reacted fantastically when we came an unexpected situation before going over there. The kids had a fabulous time, especially when they went to see and feed the animals. The house is very authentic and wide for people we were. Still not having heating, not spend cold. Yes, I recommend buying enough firewood, because the fireplace, and a pleasure, is a necessary element. And Ferran is very supportive, constantly inquiring about how things were going and if we needed anything. In fact, as happens to feed the animals every day, he came by several times. The house is isolated enough to be really comfortable, but close enough to shops to go grocery shopping once there without problems. Advisable.

a fantastic house, large, in the countryside, 40 minutes from the sea

Our stay in Can More has been fantastic. The house has all kinds of elements necessary for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The hosts, both Maria and Ferran are very friendly and have been pending that everything was properly and anything else we needed. They prepared a guide on the best places to shop, restaurants to go to, routes that can be done, etc. For groups with children because in the garden before the house can play safely without any danger, you can see the adjoining farm animals and a small bamboo forest to the delight of the kids for several games. The weather was in our favor and we could wander around getting soaked by nature and landscapes. You can make routes by bike or walking. In short, we spent 3 unforgettable days. No doubt, we try it again.

Bonifacio and his wife are very friendly. Your house is very nice and quiet, as is described. Bonifacio was us look on his motorbike and we received very well. In the morning we did a very good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Can Cargol my stay was wonderful! The house is beautiful, everything is immaculate and pristine, surrounded by mountains sunset is a sight for sore eyes! But the best are the hosts. Nanda welcomed me with open arms, she was very attentive and friendly and the morning made me some eggs (from their own chickens) that were to die for! I hope to come back and stay a few days.

Bonifacio and his wife have been great hosts, very friendly, helpful and considerate. The house and surroundings are very nice and have been very happy. We hope to return whenever we visit the area.

Bonifacio and his wife Nanda, and son Joan, are wonderful hosts who have an idyllic location in a beautiful valley away from the coast in the middle of hiking, cycling country that also contains many very lovely medieval villages. We reached Bonifacio by phone and he came out to guide us to the family home just southeast of Amer. At breakfast time, Joan and Bonifacio provided eggs and bacon and toast and excellent coffee. Joan suggested visits to volcanic sites and three villages that we managed to visit, despite a cloudburst that slowed us down somewhat. They are wonderful people and Bonifacio and his son, Joan, are very competent in English, while Nanda speaks Spanish. Of course all three speak Catalan, which we do not. They are great conversationalists and we talked about politics, climate change and our shared appreciation of animals and nature.

We spent 15 days of unforgettable holiday in this very functional and pleasant villa! Jaume Roser and are really warm, friendly, helpful and very responsive. We were greeted warmly by Roser and a nice translator and with fresh water and beautiful welcome gift fruit. All necessary equipment is provided in the villa, even more than it takes ... (sheets, linens provided) and as indicated air conditioning. The pool is clean (maintained by Jaume daily) and is secured by a fence and a barrier which is great when it to children! The garden is huge with views of the mountains! The villa is located in the countryside yet only 7km from Bescano (small supermarket, bank, restaurants ...) and 15km from Girona and Salt (largest city with great commercial center, supermarket crossroads and large market on Saturday morning) and then 1:15 Barcelona Very good value for money and then living in Spain is much cheaper than in France so what more :-) We will return with great pleasure! thank you again to Jaume Roser and his wife for all !!

This was an important holiday, and Montse and Alvar stopped at nothing to make it a perfect trip. Our family of four (4 yo and 1 yo girls) met my brother and his wife and daughter (5 yo) for five days at this private, spectacular location. Communication (they offerred email, phone and text as we preferred) was a pleasure and Montse and Alvar gave easy to follow directions with a couple options depending on our interest (we took the more scenic C-17 route from Barcelona). We arrived to a lovely welcome, with a delicious spread of charcuterie and chilled pasta salad awaiting us in the glassed-in kitchen by the pool. The pool really is as great as it looks. I was skeptical about the "salt" part, but it is lovely, with wide steps leading to a shallow end for juniors and a proper deep end for diving. Unforgettably, our 4 yo learned to trust her floaties and go it alone in the deeps for the first time. The kids loved it. The pool furniture is great for eating, playing and relaxing in the endless sun. (The sunsets were beautiful.) There is an apparently unlimited supply of supply of playthings that Montse and Alvar roll out as guests require: there were bikes, trikes, scooters and even 2 battery powered kid's ride-ons...all of which we saw getting put away as we were departing--I'm guessing the next guests were adult. There is a voluminous garage/cellar below the main floor where these all come from, and we observed probably 10 cycles for grown-ups. Lots of books, board and video games (playstation) and movies. The house is well stocked and good for sleeping (we only needed 3 of the 4 bedrooms). A highlight for us was enabled by the owners procuring a 3rd bike seat. The loaded up four bikes with 3 seats into a trailer and transported us up into the mountains. The 7 of us (four parents and our 3 kids) then rode this spectacular 18-km railroad bed (stopping for lunch in a town to the north) back down into Amer, where Montse and Alvar picked us up and trailered the bikes back up to the house. They put a lot of effort into making this happen. A highly recommended adventure if you can swing it! We hardly needed to leave the grounds (Car, the horse provided a lot of entertainment for our daughters), but the surrounding area has lots to offer, and day trips are easy. The markets in Amer (fantastic butcher) are a lot of fun, and the nearby towns offered a festival or two. Besides the great fun grilling out by the pool, other memorable activities include our hike from the house up to Santa Brigida--amazing views--and the dinner (accessed by wooded footpath from the house) at Masia de Amer. We LOVED this trip, and felt exceptionally lucky to gave gotten such great owners to look after us. Highly recommended! - Nick

We celebrated a birthday of 40! We were great, we were 30 adults and many children. The house has everything for everyone. After a great day we could rest fantastically. Thank you very much Montse.

The house Can Xera is in a beautiful setting in the mountains. It has a lovely well maintained pool and there are plenty of facilities for children to enjoy themselves. Overall a good environment to enjoy your vacation.

Very friendly welcoming and great communication. Very lovely people. The house was amazing, we were expecting it to be good but it exceeded all our expectations. The area of catalonia and amer area in particular was beautiful and we loved our visit to Santa Pau and would recommend it to anyone. We all had a fantastic time and no one wanted to return home, i only wish we had stayed longer.

The owners made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived (well actually before that as Montse provided amazing information on the villa, the nearest town (Amer) and things that we might like to consider doing in the region). When we did arrive she kindly agreed to meet us in the town in order to help us locate the villa, took us up and then gave us a tour explaining everything and going through the villa and things to do. There was an amazing amount of information available in the villa on things to do (leaflets and brochures on all tourist things to do) which we found really helpful. The description / photos of the villa were spot on. The villa and grounds were amazing - what we expected and more! It was quite secluded and over looked the town and was perfect for relaxing - the outdoor kitchen overlooking the pool was one of our favourite parts of the villa! It was handy for going hiking nearby and joining the bicarril. The villa had every kind of entertainment possible (swimming pool, table tennis, pool, bicycles and much more!) We couldn't have expected more from this listing and nor how helpful / kind the owners were throughout our stay. We were very disappointed in having to leave to come home! thoroughly enjoyed our time and would recommend it without doubt!

First of all, this house is a paradise for children: there is everything you can imagine and even more for all ages. Secondly, this is an ideal place to stay for almost all types of travelers: you can do sunbathing all day long or make your day as active as possible (biking, tracking, horse-riding, paragliding etc), visit some beautiful cities around or go to the nearest beach. `Also you will never be tired from the view you have from the hill when this house is situated. And the last but not least is that Montse and Alvaro, the owners of this house, are just incredible welcoming, flexible and attentive people, actually the best hosts I've ever met. We were a company of 8 adults and 3 children and we found our rooms completely adopted to the needs of each family, up to the selection of toys and plays for concrete child in each room and size/combination of beds. Everything you need is there and I bet you will not have enough time to use or try everything that you have in your disposal. And please note that this property is situated in the mountains where it is theoretically impossible to organize the Internet with a speed of the rocket, but it is there, several wifi networks throughout the area and it will be enough for almost all requirements. Finalizing this review, I want to say that each of us would like to come back there some day and we definitely recommend our friends to spend there a great time, taking back home unforgettable impressions. We had a great stay with Alvaro and Montse. EVERYTHING was available to spend a wonderful holiday !!! Our little 1 year and a half had fun with all the games that were in the house and Montse and Alvaro very well secure the house and the large terrace for children. There are plenty of hikes to do (from the house). It is near Girona for a ride into town, a volcanic region to the discovery walks (volcanoes, water, villages and natural wastage). We had the pleasure of a bike ride on a railway diverted cycle track (Olot to Amer) and it was a fantastic experience. Montse has again thank you and Alvaro for the valuable advice and your home. We felt at home at home!
