Viktoria was a brilliant host! So welcoming and friendly. She helped us get the most of our trip to the area. Our room was perfect and the location of the house is ideal for exploring the High Peaks.

Everything was as pictured and Viktoria was very responsive with our arrival and answering questions. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Joseph's cabin is amazing. When we searched for rentals in the area for a winter getaway, we wanted a small, cozy, rustic cabin/lodge style home with a fireplace. We have been coming up to the High Peaks for several decades in summer and fall to hike/backpack/camp- but this was our first winter trip to the area. Once I saw this listing and the photos, we knew this was the place for us. Joseph quickly responded to all my inquiries prior to booking. After booking, cohost Lana continued communication and made sure everything was in order for us when we arrived. Check in and out was very easy and effortless. While we were there, Lana was readily available via phone to help answer questions. Gary the caretaker helped keep the driveway plowed while we were there and assisted with fireplace questions. The cabin is in pristine condition, and very, very clean (not a speck of dust anywhere). The photos are accurate and up to date. We brought our fatbikes and snowshoes. Each day after our outdoor activities, it was nice to come back to the cabin, take nice hot showers, and enjoy a fire (with available firewood). We snowshoed around the property and checked out the brook and the leanto. We sat at the leanto looking at the snowed over brook and the covered up firepit thinking how wonderful the property would be in the summer. But….being winter, we got to enjoy not only the indoor fireplace, but also the radiant heated floors. Other things that stood out about the cabin were that the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. The bed is super comfortable- just the way we like it; plush and firm at the same time. We also liked having the washer and dryer to use, and the carport to park our Jeep. We were sad this morning when we had to lock the door and say goodbye. This is a truly special cabin.

The Brookside Cabin was absolutely beautiful! We had great weather and enjoyed being able to hear the brook from the cabin. The kids really enjoyed walking down to the brook and sitting in the lean-to. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. The cabin is clean and beautifully decorated. The internet was out when we arrived, but was very quickly fixed. We enjoyed the fireplace. I hope we can come back sometime in warmer weather!

This 1860 farmhouse was amazing. Simple, meticulously clean with fresh linens and Adirondack quilts in every room. Sat on the porch with a glass of wine. Really cool town and great local eateries. The best part is how close this place is to every high peak trail head. It has a one car garage for gear storage. We kept all our stuff there. Lindsey communicated with us before the trip, once during the trip and left us wine. She has done almost all of the 49 high peaks and gave great tips. Definitely heading up for 5 days in the fall. Thank you for a great 3 days!!

Second time here. Such a perfect location that we came back to check some more peaks off our list. We have always been Lake Placid fans but Keene Valley is the real Adirondacks. The house is actually walkable to many trail heads. Wine and welcome treats left by Lindsey, cosy, meticulously clean house. Local eatery fantastic, ADK cafe, but make a reservation. Thanks again to our hosts for another perfect 5 days. We will be back this fall.

Noonmark View was the perfect house for a family visit to Keene Valley. Conveniently located for all the best summer activities: hiking, trail runs, swimming and fly fishing in the Ausable, & eating out a great spots like Baxter Mt. Tavern, Noonmark, SubAlpine, ADK Cafe, Cedar Run and Dogwood Bakery. It's also easy trip to local sights like Whiteface, Lake Placid and the Champlain Valley. Angie and her family provided a warm and welcoming home with everything needed for a great meal and comfortable night's sleep after a busy day outside.

Marcus' Giant's View was a perfect spot to experience the Adirondacks from. The view from the deck and the easy access to the many points of interest was great. The house was spotless and amply supplied with all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. We had minor questions for Marcus which he responded to almost immediately...excellent host!

I had a very nice experience, the house had all the amenities that were listed in the description. You can't beat the location, right in the heart of the high peaks. It made it easy to roll out of bed and be at a trail head in no time. If you are looking for a simple, clean room in a great location I recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Viktoria's charming Victorian home for a long weekend. The house is furnished with original decor, but is very cozy. Although we were alone during our stay and Viktoria was not present, she communicated efficiently and made sure we were comfortable. Her house is conveniently located a few miles from most of the High Peak trails, cute shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again-- a great place for couples or groups to crash in the Adirondacks!

The house was incredible. Well stocked, well located, beautiful setting and comfortable for a large group. Great kitchen and nice wood stoves. The ping pong table was certainly a feature. I would highly recommend this house!

Our stay at Sandra's Keene Valley home was absolutely wonderful. The home was exceedingly clean and well taken care of. The setting is picturesque, and the views are simply incredible. Even the smell is warm and welcoming. You will feel as if you have stepped into your own personal escape into an abode that is truly a part of the nature around it. Want to hike? A 5 minute walk had us at "The Garden", the start point of multiple trails into the High Peaks. Sandra was very informative pre-visit. There was no question left unanswered and the information left for us regarding the home and the surrounding area was much more than adequate. We gladly took her suggestions about local shops and restaurants to visit and found them to be all charming and convenient. Our time was perfect, to say the least. We can't wait to stay again.

Our stay at Rockwell place could not have been more perfect. The location is excellent, down the road from high peaks trails and only 5 minutes to town. The cabin has beautiful views of the high peaks from almost every room. We loved sitting in the spacious living room in front of the huge fireplace and cooking group meals in the well-appointed kitchen. This is a beautiful family home with lots of wonderful character. We felt lucky to have the chance to spend time there and hope we will be able to come back soon.

This was our second time at this beautiful cabin just outside of Lake Placid. The perfect spot for a ski & winter hiking headquarters. It's clean, charming, and you can tell the family has an amazing history there. Our favorite part was sitting in the living room after a day on the mountain, warming ourselves by the large fireplace.

My husband and I have airbnb'd allover the world and have stayed in some truly fantastic homes and apartments. But after one day at Sandy's family cabin, my husband's sentiments put it best: this is probably the best rental we've ever found. The view alone makes this place special. But it's the thought, love, and generations of family history that are ingrained in every single room, every piece of ceramic kitchenware, and every carefully selected book inside that sets it apart. The cabin managed to be both off the beaten path, and very conveniently located - to Lake Placid and to Whiteface, which made it the perfect home base for our Christmas ski weekend. We're already trying to figure out when we can come back!

This was our first experience with airbnb and it was outstanding. Sandra was an excellent host and the house was unbelievable. The views were breath-taking and the house is very beautifully decorated. We enjoyed looking at all the pictures and everything combined created such a homey and relaxing feeling. It is centrally located near many hiking trails. We went in the winter in the hope of finding snow and there was plenty in Keene Valley. We were worried about not having a tv to watch the Superbowl, but Sandra recommended going to the Ausable Inn and it was perfect. We later got the game on the am radio. It turned out to be very nice without the tv. When we were not outside exploring, we found other things to do like sit in front of the fireplaces, talk and play games. We definitely want to go back. Sandra's place is a perfect retreat for anyone who wants to get away from it all and enjoy nature.

Wonderful rental, I am already looking forward to going back. As described, it's both a great base for lots of day activities and a wonderful spot for relaxing with family and friends in the evening. The home has a great atmosphere, and is personal, comfortable and relaxed. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided. It's a great place to unplug and relax.

Our 2nd stay here was just as wonderful - such a beautiful location, quiet, serene, beautiful scenery, and lovely accomodations. So hard to leave!

Sandra's place is magical - the moment we arrived we felt home. The house is wonderfully situated and equipped with anything one may need. This is a great little cabin. Keene is a quiet but adorable little town surrounded by mountains. If you like craft beer make sure you take advantage of the house growler and visit the local craft brew shop. For people with dogs: the fence in the yard is about 3-4' high. For safety we still tied our dogs up in case they tried to jump it (they didnt) but if your dog is adventurous it's a good idea to have backup. Also, a dog crate is generously provided by the cabin owners, but my 40lb female husky was a perfect fit in it so if you have a large dog you should probably bring your own crate. We loved the cabin and had a great time!

This cabin was exactly what we were hoping for, a great location close to wonderful, local shops and grocery. The fenced in yard and deck was our absolute favorite part. The cabin was warm and cozy, the perfect place to nap and cook after a long hike. We didn't want to leave!

Julie's place is beautiful, very clean, and pet friendly, which can be hard to find in a good price range! You will not be disappointed if you stay here, I would recommend her place to anyone!

This cabin was awesome in a lot of ways. Had a lot of good space--huge upstairs, comfortable beds and couches, nice bathroom. Was clean upon our arrival. We felt very at home there. It is important to highlight that the fence is not quite as dog-proof as it is made to seem. There are many areas where dogs can definitely get out, either under or through the fence. This was a bit tough with two dogs, who were definitely curious about what was on the other side, and we had a few escape attempts. Also, this house is right on the road, and the traffic can be a little loud, especially in the mornings. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Come Bye Lodge and loved being so close to Keene and would recommend it for the price.

Our stay at the Lodge was awesome. The location was perfect for hiking! There is a cute cafe nearby (ADK Cafe) that serves yummy home cooked food and it was a short drive from Lake Placid. The pups loved the deck and the yard!

The house was perfect for our needs, and located just where we wanted. The main purpose of our trip was to do some hiking in the high peaks, and this house is located near most of them.

Cute, cozy cabin in a convenient location off 9N. Make sure you walk into town for lunch and bring your bathing suit! There are some great swimming holes in the Ausable river just off Grist Mill Rd... Thanks, Julie, for the perfect homebase for our Adirondack adventure.

Bruce was an accommodating, thoughtful host and his place was very well-suited for our family visit. Keene is beautiful and quiet, and even though the property is very private, it is located just a short walk from Mount Baxter's trail-head (hike recommended!) We really enjoyed eating outside at the picnic table every night, using the barbecue and fire-pit in the spacious side-yard. The house was quite clean, homey and decorated with many handmade items that intrigued our kids, particularly Bruce's diorama/clocks. The beds are comfortable, linens, towels and blankets plentiful, and the front porch is a gem, with great hammocks and flower boxes and a view of the mountains. Given that our son was very car-sick moments before arrival, we also really appreciated the full laundry facilities! Note that there is only a large tub (no shower), but the water pressure is very good for a rural property and the fully equipped kitchen includes an incredibly silent and effective dishwasher. Overall, a lovely retreat for those looking for a quiet, scenic home-base in the Adirondacks.

Bruce was a gracious host who answered my emailed questions quickly before we arrived and he was there in the late afternoon when we arrived to greet us and show us around. The house on the hill is charming and warm and filled with many artful touches. We enjoyed the collections in every corner and appreciated the loving care put into to keeping this house up. The favorite features were the sunny and inviting porch complete with hammocks, the refreshing swimming hole that our teens loved, the firepit and gorgeous yard! We climbed Baxter a few times since it is so close by. The house would be even more perfect with an outdoor shower - I know Bruce is planning on adding this at some point. Even so, the bath was lovely and useful. All in all, a delightful and relaxing retreat off the beaten path and yet in th heart of the most beautiful ADK wilderness around.

This was the loveliest place, better than we could have imagined. Had the best time cooking, napping in the hammock on the porch and exploring area swimming holes. We will be back!

Of our many airbnb experiences we had never had the hosts meet us before at the property and show us around. It was good in some ways but we could of read it in their guide and it was getting into dinner time. They were helpful setting up a temporary baby gate on the stairs for our daughter. The house is a nice old cottage on the hill with a view of a mountain but one of my disappointments was also a view of the road. The swimming hole was novel but also is on the road. We did enjoy a swim after some hiking. The Baxter mountain trailhead is right nearby and that was a great hike with kids and plenty of wild blueberries up there. The house was ecletic decor which did kind of grow on me. There's three bedrooms upstairs for use, the beds are a little small, we squeezed into one. There's a bath but no shower although Bruce is building an outdoor one, not sure the climate is quite right for that! We enjoyed the vege garden full of lettuce and peas for us to use in salads most nights. Loved the hammocks on the front porch and we watched a thunderstorm roll by one morning. There's also a lot of hiking and wildlife books which we made use of identifying berries and reading about some hikes. Our son really took to a stuffed trout pillow in his room and 'cared' for it including some hammock time.

Bruce and his wife met us at the property to show us the ropes of their home. Beautiful property with lots of flowers and character. We didn't have any problems at all. Took naps in the hammocks. We stayed for IMLP and felt very safe. It was nice to be out of Lake Placid a bit in a quieter setting. Very cost effective for us. We would definitely stay again!

Betsy is very accommodating and the place is very clean. For a small studio, it's very well designed and has everything you'd need on your stay.

We wanted to spend time trail running in the Adirondacks and Betsy's studio was beautiful! It is a rustic and elegantly decorated studio/cabin with a super comfortable double bed! It is a wonderful clean and relaxing space and absolutely perfect for 2 people. She invited us to use her deck and grill which was great! The studio is set underneath the main house and the neighborhood is very quiet with woods on three sides of the property. Betsy is a very personable, relaxed and attentive host. She shared a lot of information (and maps) with us on where to hike and trail run!

Everything about our stay at Betsy's studio was great! After a long, snowy drive from CT we were welcomed to an immaculate little oasis filled with local touches. The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette stocked with all the essentials and bathroom with nice towels and soap. Betsy's directions to the studio were clear and easy to follow. The location could not have been better- 15 minutes and we were on the chairlift to the summit of Whiteface. 15 minutes the other direction we were eating delicious food and drinking local beer in Lake Placid. Betsy helped make sure we had everything we needed to have a great weekend. She was available if needed but allowed us to feel that we had complete privacy. We cannot wait to come back in the summer months to take advantage of the great hiking. Overall we wouldn't change anything about our weekend in Betsy's great space- perfection!!

Betsy was an amazing host! Our experience was an excellent joy. The amenities were fantastic and gave us the comforts and rest we needed to explore the gorgeous surroundings. Betsy was a fantastic host, and everything we were looking for when we decided to stay there. She valued our privacy and invited us to use her grill and patio at anytime. There is a dog on the premise; and he is incredibly sweet and adorable! Betsy gives great suggestions and ideas about the local area, cafes, restaurants, hikes, and biking. She has space for bikes that need to be stored or equipment. The studio had many perks and was very comfortable. It is a short walk to Keene( less than 1 mile) and there is a beautiful river close to the house. She supplies many items that are incredibly useful besides the basic necessities. (i.e: beach towels, chairs for the river, wine). She is a very knowledgable host and very welcoming. I would love to visit again and i will recommend this place to all friends.

Great house!

The house is amazing! It accommodates a big group; clean & spacious. We loved the Adirondack, rustic charm and the new wood stove was utilized for nightly ambiance. The owners communicated without delay. Renters need to be aware that there is no cable or satellite service hence no t.v. We stayed for New Years and our only small wish was to watch the countdown on t.v. but otherwise I could care less about watching t.v. There is wifi but it's slow making live streaming very challenging. Overall, I would definitely rent again from Tom & Jennifer. GORGEOUS house inside and out! Also, all the modern amenities and cookware supplied to make cooking easy! Thanks again! :-)

This house is AMAZING! We went with a group of friends for our second annual winter getaway to the Adirondacks and couldn't have found a more perfect place. The large open living space was ideal for a group and all of the bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable. It is very close to Keene, while also being nicely secluded. It is only a short drive to Lake Placid, the Adirondack Loj, and Keene Valley. If you care about being able to walk to restaurants and cafes, this isn't the house for you, but if you want a real mountain getaway - this is it! Communication and check-in/out were extremely easy. Hope we can stay again next winter!

Tom and Jennifer's is beautiful! The interior space had lots of beds and room, as promised. It's on a nice quiet road, just outside of Keene, but be sure to read the directions they supply you with since (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps doesn't take you directly to their house. Hosts were very gracious, and quick to reply. The wifi was a tad slow, but that's to be expected in the mountains. Kitchen was fully stocked, but missing a coffee maker. They do supply a Tassimo machine, but come prepared with your own pods :)

Tom and Jennifer were wonderful hosts! Their house was brand new, spacious, immaculate, and inviting. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Loved the massive deck and fire pits. We will be back!

High Rock was a great place to stay for our ski weekend at Whiteface Mountain. About 20 minutes to the Mountain, 20 minutes to Lake Placid and 20 minutes to Elizabethtown, we were close enough to everything we wanted to be close to and far enough away to not be removed from the hustle and bustle. Sadly, it was too cold to use the outdoor fire pits or grill. Luckily, we got to do some sledding with sleds on the porch. It was a great place for a friend-cation. We skied all day and played board games all evening. It was clean and quiet and wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay in this brand new beautiful home! Jennifer was so helpful and very responsive. The foosball table and fire pit were big hits with the group. The large dining room table was amazing for group meals and lead to toasting and laughs. Rooms were comfortable and everything important was provided. Only thing I wish I brought was house slippers, it was the first cold weekend of the year! We Loved hiking the high peaks during our stay, very close to trail heads and great Market on the bottom of the hill for morning coffee, pastry and last minute items. I recommend bringing keurig coffee pods to use as well! We brought our own espresso maker, but they have a keurig. 5 star stay!

Brook House is a beautiful, tastefully decorated, perfect sized apartment for a couple. The location is Keene is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and shops, and near hiking trails. The description is accurate. We did not personally meet Tammy, but she was easy to communicate with and responsive to a couple of glitches we encountered.

Tammy's home was very welcoming! We hadn't realized there was work being done to the bottom floor but the second floor where we stayed was gorgeous and just as the pictures suggested. We had no trouble finding the place thanks to Tammy's helpful directions and took her restaurant suggestion for our first dinner there--it was great! the only negative is that the lighting was quite dim, but as it is a rustic home, it felt very cozy!
