We had a brilliant time in Charlie's farmhouse! The house was beautiful, really comfy and spacious, and quirky, with a cute back garden looking out onto open fields (sheep at the gate!), perfect for BBQs, and loads of space in an orchard around the side. 11 of us stayed very comfortably, with all the bathrooms and kitchen equipment we could want. The pool, baby grand piano and record player were nice bonuses. A great house for rain or shine (both of which we had a lot of). It felt deep in the beautifully green countryside, yet accessible (by the right roads). If you want to travel any substantial distance definitely bring a car (down the bumpy lane), although taxis happily brought some from Honiton. You can easily walk for hours in the rolling countryside around, though. Charlie was very communicative and helpful throughout. We met his housekeeper's partner at the beginning and housekeeper when we left, who were both very accommodating of our traffic issues and very friendly. I'd stay again for sure :) and make it to the beach this time. I wouldn't drive back along the A303 on a Bank Holiday Monday, though...be warned! It was hard to tear ourselves away. Thanks!

Wendy is an awesome Airbnb host. She welcomed us warmly with a cup of tea and loads of great chat and was more than happy to give us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat during our couple of days in Bristol. The cabin itself is a dream place to stay. We weren't sure what to expect of the compost toilet and solar-powered shower. In reality, they were ideal. You have to pop outside the cabin and across the decking to get to these. They work as well as more conventional bathroom facilities and in fact just add to the quirky getaway feel of the place. The decking offers the perfect place to have some breakfast and relax, as it overlooks a local park (from an elevated position, so is much more private than expected) and is set in it's own little area at the bottom of Wendy's lush garden. The decor within the cabin itself is charmingly vintage in style and such a cosy, comfy place to spend time. We only stayed for two nights en route to Somerset, but really did wish we had booked to stay for longer. Car parking was free on Wendy's street, which was great also. Within five minute's drive from Wendy's, you are in the city. We would recommend Poco on Stokescroft for the best brunch in Bristol, and also that you leave yourself plenty of free time to just relax and take in the lovely atmosphere of the Eco-cabin!

One night here wasn't long enough, words don't do it justice. Very relaxing recommended to everyone.
