Megan responder quickly to my last minute reservation. She was also polite, flexible and understanding.

There were no sheets for the bed. just two thin fleece blankets (like thin throw blankets but larger) I ended up going to Walmart and buying a set of sheets. When I arrived there was a note that the pillowcases were in the dryer downstairs. I went and got them but It seemed no one actually turned the dryer on because they were still wet. The tub was pretty dirty and stained, It was also broken where you would put soap, creating a safety hazard as it looked sharp. You get what you pay for I guess. If I was really in a pinch and had no where else to stay this place wouldn't be terrible. The kitty that lives there is super friendly and cute so that was nice. A couple little improvements and this wouldn't be a bad place to stay.

I was here on business, traveling about the area servicing businesses in a couple dozen surrounding cities. Carmella and Ken were gracious hosts and made every effort to be accommodating to my hectic schedule.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Carmella and Ken's, as I was travelling through the area for work. They were gracious and generous hosts, sharing their home with me (original woodwork in a 1917 Victorian, they're so lucky!), having a nice chat and glass of wine while watching the sunset from their lovely patio, and making a tasty breakfast spread featuring homemade waffles the next morning. The room itself was very comfortable; they even had a fan for white noise (not that you need it, as it's so quiet). If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stay here! As a heads up for those who haven't spent much time in rural Iowa, you'll probably want to grab dinner on your way up like I did, as Rolfe is a very small town (your only option in town is Casey's and more options are about 30 minutes away).

What wonderful hosts Carmella and Ken were. I think this may have been my favorite of all times as they welcomed us from a terrible storm that we had just passed through by offering us a glass of wine. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was absolutely wonderful brought up to us in a second upstairs room, almost like breakfast in bed. Not one complaint, the place and hosts were perfectly lovely.

My husband and I loved staying with Carmella and Ken. They are so warm and friendly and they made us feel right at home. There is nothing like being greeted upon check-in with a glass of good wine and great conversation and breakfasts in the morning were delicious! I highly recommend their bnb and if we ever find ourselves in the area again we will be sure to drop by for a stay.

This home was an oasis in the country - beautiful, spacious, and lovely. Ken and Carmella were consumate hosts, providing cookies and bottled water waiting for us in our room, and sharing with us a glass of wine and great conversation by the fireplace. In the morning a home cooked breakfast! We feel like we have new friends and a wonderful R&R waiting for us to return to some day in Iowa.

Every Airbnb experience just continues to get better & better! Carmella & Ken were wonderful hosts—welcoming us into their beautiful, rustic, charming farmhouse even though we were hours later than we had originally anticipated. Carmella made us feel right at home upstairs in the comfortable bedroom & downstairs in the spacious, clean kitchen. She was so accommodating of our potential needs. In the morning, her & Ken cooked us a fantastic farmhouse breakfast & dined with us on the porch. They were full of wonderful conversation & stories. When we left, my mother said, "That was better than any hotel experience." I agree!

Janie & Bob were so welcoming! They met us at the house when we arrived and gave us a tour. The tiny house was so cute and was such a great experience. The kitchen was fully stocked with food to cook with as well as snacks! The bathroom had towels and soap and everything you could think of! We had such a great time, thank you!

Everything about our stay was great, it's a really nice quiet town. All the goodies were a awesome touch! It was like home away from home!!

Nice comfortable place to stay. Nicely furnished. I found the loft easy to get to but my wife was not comfortable going up and down the ladder. So your mileage may vary. Futon on main floor was comfortable. Hope to book this again when we return next year.

My stay at Tiny House Living for the last 2 weeks was again very nice, Bob and Janie are great hosts. I had no problems or complaints.

My boyfriend and I were driving cross country and this tiny house was the perfect stop! The house was stacked with anything you could ever need, snacks, drinks, toothbrushes, everything! Highly recommended.

Zoe's home is very comfortable and welcoming! We had the entire lower level to ourselves, and Zoe was very accommodating to our needs. She is an excellent host and did a wonderful job making us feel right at home. I highly recommend her place when visiting the Algona area!

Stayed in house for three days while in area on business. Host had cheese and wine when I arrived at the house and was great at communicating and made sure that everything was great. House is out in the country in a nice quiet area. It sits on a hill next to a stream and field. House is full of antiques and is very spacious. Kitchen is very nice and is easy to make any meals you would want. There is a newer TV with a blu-ray player. No cable or satellite, but there is local channels. Large garage to park your car and plenty of space to relax in the house. Beds are nice and several bedrooms to choose from. Will stay again when I'm in the area.

A wonderful experience for my husband and baby, in-laws, grandmother and aunt to stay for a family wedding. There was wine and cheese for us and COFFEE - I can't say enough amazing things about a host that leaves these! Communication was great via Airbnb, text and phone calls. Just an amazing stay overall in a cozy home with a lovely porch and yard to watch the sunset.

Wilma's home is just a few miles outside of Webster City and was fantastic. It was a perfect place to come back and visit while bringing my family of 4 along. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Wilma's home was great and we were in constant contact with her daughter, Kolleen, to help us with our arrival. Wine, cheese, and crackers were waiting for us as we arrived and the high speed internet worked really well for all our devices. This is definitely a place we will consider again when making the trip back to Iowa. Two Thumbs Up!

The house was filled with great antiques and sat on top of a hill with nice views of farmland and streams. Kolleen - the owner's daughter - communicated with us very well and made sure we had everything we needed, and she even had wine and cheese waiting for us! I'd love to stay there again when I visit my mother.

This is an old house in the country. It had ample space for all of our family and the area was absolutely beautiful. It's a short drive to Webster City and also an easy drive to Fort Dodge. Our host left wine, cheese and farm fresh eggs for us, what a treat. The kitchen is very well outfitted, we had no difficulty finding any utensil or pan we might need. Garage is spacious with plenty of room for the car and I had a lovely early morning run on the road outside.

Fantastic place to stay near Webster City, IA. We were down at the Farm Progress Show working and had 4 colleagues staying here. Very convenient and perfect to get back and forth, and excellent value. The hosts were awesome and we had a great trip! Highly recommended!

Harriet K's Cottage in Whittemore, Iowa is an exceptional vintage home time-travel experience! Having the whole house to ourselves, we felt we were in a 40's-50's Mid-Century Museum throughout our stay. We loved it! City folks that we are, we found Ron's Airbnb to be amazing in an otherwise Twilight Zone area of the country!

Ron has managed to make an entire house full of antiques into an immaculate, quiet place to get away. I was very impressed with the attention to detail, and the level of comfort that I felt. Ron accommodated all of my special requests without issue. I would stay here again.

We absolutely loved staying at Carla and Mike's. They were such gracious and amazing hosts. They took us on their boat for a tour around the lake and were so warm and nice. Carla is a fantastic chef and we loved the delicious breakfasts. As for the lake house, the pictures don't do justice to the beauty of this place. The rooms were so clean and modern equipped with all modern conveniences and yet had a homely feel. The view from the bedroom is breathtaking. The beauty and the tranquility of the place is beyond words. My husband and I just lay on the hammock all day by the lake and relaxed. Apart from amazing bedroom, living area and bathroom, the deck is amazing complete with a fire-pit. Highly recommend for a couple's romantic get away. It was great to de-stress and relax. I just couldn't get enough of the place and we are going back for sure. Also, added bonus for us was Tug, the bull dog Carla and Mike were dog-sitting and we already miss him.

If you have an opportunity to stay at The Lake House ~ count it as your stroke of good fortune! Let me begin with the wonderful accommodations. We had the entire lower level to ourselves - fully stocked mini fridge, very clean, comfortable queen bed & great hammock for naps, fantastic ensuite bath with jetted tub, access to washer/dryer, plus amazing views out every (floor to ceiling) window ~ everything was 5 star! Now let me tell you about the bonus - our hostess Carla - she is such a delight, we so enjoyed the opportunity to gain a new friend. We enjoyed every moment at her home, we felt welcomed from the moment we met. She cooked amazing breakfasts each day, appetizers with a glass of wine in the evening. Carla is one in a million a truly special person.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House! Carla met us when we arrived with snacks and a glass of wine. The Holt's have a beautiful home with plenty of room to relax and spread out. The weather was perfect during our visit. We went out on the lake with kayaks and floaties! We also ate at the local eatery on the lake and had pizza on the deck! Thank you Carla for being such a wonderful hostess! We hope to be back next year!

Carla is a terrific host and has thought of everything in the guest rooms ! She lives on the ground floor and is available nearly anytime for assistance. She is a thoughtful chef and accommodated our special diets without hesitation. She is always laughing and smiling, as well as is a gracious, intelligent, informed host. This is the best property on the lake with stunning views.

The location was beautiful - well kept secret in Iowa. The view was perfect from the Lake House! Carla was responsive to a late request to celebrate our weekend away, after our wedding! Breakfast was delicious, and the cruise/boat ride around the lake was offered and well worth the ride!

This was my first Airbnb experience, and was even better than I could have hoped! Carmella and Ken were extremely warm and welcoming, lovely company during breakfast (which was all homemade and delicious), and easy to get ahold of when I needed to. The home was clean and beautiful, and quite easy to locate. I stayed in "Sarah's Room", which was gorgeous and cozy. I had a bathroom to myself, and had nothing but peace and quiet the whole time. The farmhouse was beautifully furnished and elegant, even though 100years old. Ken made us a spectacular breakfast and we were on our way after a very pleasant visit with Carmella. I wished we had arrived earlier or stayed longer. Excellent hosts!

This was honestly one of the best Air B&B stays I've ever had. Carmella and Ken were so accommodating and the home so amazing that I secretly want to move in! I was met with wine and great conversation, I felt comfortable instantly even though I was travelling alone. The house is truly beautiful, all original woodwork, it's a 100 year old farmhouse. I woke up to the smell of the homemade frittata Ken was making me, he also made me rye bread and Carmella made me her famous Artisan bread, a fruitcake and blueberry muffins. I felt like royalty! I got to take some beautiful sunrise photos, they helped me with suggestions of what to do in the area, and Carmella sent me on my way with homemade gingersnap cookies. I can't wait to get back there. Absolutely nothing I would change, it far exceeded my expectations and I can't believe my good fortune to have stumbled upon this little slice of heaven!

Wonderful stay, Carmella & Ken were great hosts and we're very helpful, interesting and generous with their time. This was my second trip to stay with Carmella and Ken and I will be back again. We had such a wonderful time and it feels like coming home at their house. Breakfast with them was the highlight of our trip! Homemade artisan breads and jam, omelettes, asparagus with hollandaise, assorted breakfast meats, fruit, homemade coffee cake....we felt like royalty! Carmella even sent us off with a bag or fresh baked cookies. Couldn't have asked for a better hostess!
