The surrounding area is very nice. The rooms are very cozy and clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. Five stars all around.

This house is fantastic! We loved our room and the bathroom that was connected. She offers breakfast and laundry service which really sums up southern hospitality! The dog barking was the only thing that kept us up at bedtime. The bed was extremely comfortable. We would stay here again for sure!

Kristy’s home was spacious and beautiful, and the room was very clean and had cute touches. I loved the coffee, tea, and water available for guests!

Kristy and Barry were incredible hosts (dogs included, I really liked the larger of the two, she was fluffy and awesome). This is probably the best AirBnB I’ve stayed at in the Houston area hands down. The neighborhood is great, home is amazing, my room was awesome, so much so that I put all three rooms as my saved favorites. My room faced the street so I had a great view of my vehicle the entire time. Walking in my room was the exact same aroma air freshener I have at home. There are so many small touches that listing them all would take too much time. If you’re on the fence about breakfast... trust me... don’t miss out. I hate to only leave a 5 star rating because this deserves more around a 10+. Great value, great hosts, great rooms, great amenities... I’d honestly be shocked that the rooms wouldn’t be booked. If you’re reading this... you should have already pressed the “book” button by now.

Kristy's home was exactly as described! It was stylish, homey, and the bed was nice and comfy! This was my first experience staying in a shared home, but I felt very safe the entire time. If I'm ever back in the Houston area, I would gladly stay here again!

This was my first experience with an Airbnb so I was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. The moment Carlos opened the door to welcome me I knew I had made the right decision in choosing his place. Carlos was very nice and friendly and the place was just as advertised, if not more. I loved the variety of coffees to choose from and the shower head was amazing like others have said. It was a perfect location, too. I would definitely stay here again!

Great place! Stayed for 3 weeks while working a job and it was a perfect crash pad. The TV in the room is all set up with chromecast so I could instantly start watching Netflix. I was sick and coughing during my stay and they brought my honey and tea and Vick’s vapor rub. Excellent experience, AMAZING shower!!!

The house is always amazingly clean, the shower is wonderful, the bed is comfortable, and the internet is extremely good. You get your own private bathroom, your own place at the kitchen table, and your own shelf in the refrigerator, and the 'K-cup' coffeemaker starts the day off nicely.

Best hosts ever! Teresa and Carlos are hospitable, knowledgeable and extremely friendly! They made me love Houston even more. It was much better than I expected. Carlos and his wife were great hosts. They go above and beyond as hosts to make you feel welcome. The room was exactly as pictured and described. Clean, comfortable and stylish. Very comfortable, very relaxing to stay in. The private bath and shower were just steps away from the room.The shower with the alkaline water and shower head was relaxing. All in all for the price, well worth it, I do not think you could find a more relaxing stay or better hosts. The little touches, the welcoming letter, the chocolates, bottled water....and absolutely amazing hosts.

Nice place to stay while visiting my son at Rice. The private entrance was nice and parking was easy. I enjoyed meeting people around the breakfast table and the food was wonderful. I would stay here again!

The location was fantastic. This apartment had a design element and vibe that was reminiscent of my stays in apartments in Europe. Neat place!

Lisa was an amazing host, incredibly sweet and even upgraded our room upon arrival. The space is super unique and represents Houston so well. It’s close to a ton of things and parking is really easy. We will definitely return here!

Tony and Ale were very friendly hosts and prompt in their comunication with me! Their home was a clean and comfortable place to stay during my time in Cypress. I especially appreciated having a microwave in my room and separate fridge to store my food. Their internet connection was nice and fast for the international online work I did during my stay. This place is a great value!

!!! This is not a pet friendly place !!! !!! Avoid this place if you are an early riser !!! We are a couple with a Pomeranian booked for the place last week. We are an early riser and we had to take our pet for a walk when we woke up. Unfortunately, their German Shephard would not stop barking which caused their other guest having trouble to sleep. They wanted us not to go out in the early morning, which I think no host has the right to do. Also, nowhere in their house manual is it mentioned that any movement in those hours are prohibited. Apparently, they preferred their other guest who has been living their for the last two months over us who booked a room only for two nights. At the end, we had to cut our stay short to one night and find another place to stay. Overall, it was a bad experience!

Very friendly and respectful host. The location was great, and close to a lot of nice restaurants and grocery stores.

Stan and Tabitha are friendly hosts who offered great conversation, laced with much humour and a well equipped and comfortable staging point for my departure from George Bush Intercontinental. An easy walk away from a selection of food outlets and a short drive to the airport, if you are budget conscious and don't mind dogs, I would recommend this facility. I would stay here again.

Stan and Tab are both wonderful hosts. The place is clean and safe. They have three beautiful dogs. They are friendly & harmless. Please note if you are not comfortable with dogs then it's not the right place.

Blessed to stay at Uphouse Manor possibly on the most romantic night during Christmas season and It ❄️snowed! Staying warm all night in this beautiful home, the Blue room was our choice. Blue room has a Kingsdown bed...luxury! Katrina, being the thoughtfully sweet owner and hostess, made us the most flavorful delicious breakfast. Consisting of smoked salmon, shallots drunk in Chardonnay, kale and Brie scrambled eggs. The Heights historic homes displayed their beautiful Lights in the Heights trail. We highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

I really can't say enough positive things about the Uphouse Manor! It's worth a trip to Houston JUST to stay in the house. The house is absolutely gorgeous, Katrina and her staff are amazing, and it was our favorite part of our Texas visit. Katrina is a decorator and it shows. The kindness and peace we found here cannot be overstated. The are outdoor and indoor spaces to share that also add to the "at home" feeling. Rooms are beautiful and so comfy - we slept better than we do at home! Katrina also gave us some amazing tips on places to go. Also, they ended up making "breakfast to order" which is truly above and beyond. Just such an amazing visit - can't thank Katrina and her team enough for providing such tranquility during our visit.

Wonderful place indeed! Katrina was a great host and gave us all the good advice we needed, like was Kendall. The house was huge and had so many opportunities both inside and outside, we especially enjoyed the 1st floor balcony and the garden and in general the familiar "feeling at home" atmosphere. The neighbourhood was lovely with all its beautiful, old but restored, houses for enjoyable walkabouts with the stroller and our little son, and Uphouse Manor is just around the corner from that hip 19th street with nice little shops and a really nice juice bar (Juice Girl). The breakfast was perfect, too - homemade, healthy and fresh from the big country kitchen, couldn't seriously have asked for more. We will miss this place and take only the best memories with us from Uphouse Manor :-D Stay here and see for yourself what it is all about!!!

I loved my experience staying in Katrina's home and I will stay with her again when I visit Houston. The location is perfect for couples, families and singles. It is not best suited for elderly people due to stairs and bathroom arrangements. Breakfast is tailored to your needs and desires. Katrina is a fabulous host if you are interested in the Heights area of Houston as she is very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, interiors of this area in Houston.

I just spent three nights at the Uphouse Manor, and words can't express how grateful I am for the hospitality of the entire family. Katrina, Claire, Alex, Katrina's mom, and even Lego, the doggie are not just hosts.... They are your adopted family for the time you spend at the house. From the moment you walk through those doors, you feel special, and you are treated not as a guest, but like family... Or at the very least, as an old friend. What a great feeling to come back "home" after a busy work day for a glass of wine, many many (did I say many?) laughs, and to be taken back on time to your childhood through Alex's Littles eyes (and adventures), I have to say.... He's a fun firecracker! Katrina's place is impeccable, beautiful in every detail. The bed in my room (the blue room) is about the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I have to confess I was bummed before booking it to learned there were no TVs in the rooms and that I would share a bathroom. Wow.... Am I ever so glad I "took the risk"! There was no TV, and that gave me the opportunity to hang out with amazing people that just don't come around too often.... And the bathroom? Never even noticed it wasn't all for me! Wonderful place.... But what really shines at the Manor is a wonderful family.... I miss them all, and I can't wait to go back to Houston and see all of them again soon! Thank you Katrina, Claire, Alex Lego, and please say hello to your sweet mom.... She is a blast!

Location was great and safe. Having a private bathroom was the best. The bed was also comfy. The host responded super quickly whenever I had a question. Highly recommend.

This place is an absolute must stay. Three other friends and I rented the Uphouse Manor to bring in the New Year, and it was perfect. The attic, as well as the entire home, is magnificent and extremely spacious. The house feels so complete. Any group looking for a weekend getaway, or even for an extended stay would love this place. Kendall, the manager, is so sweet, warm, thoughtful, and makes the best pancakes anyone could experience. The area around the home is great with great restaurants close by. Any time I'm looking for a place to stay in Houston, I will always consider the Uphouse Manor first.

There aren't enough wonderful things to say about Katrina's home, or Katrina herself, Uphouse Manor is beautifully decorated, centrally located and in a family friendly neighborhood. Katrina and her staff were able to anticipate our families every need and they were very accommodating, she is familiar with all parts of Houston and always has great recommendations for food, activities and entertainment in the area. Uphouse Manor feels like home and Katrina makes you feel like family, whether traveling for business or pleasure with kids or pets there is a place for everyone at the Uphouse Manor. I would like to say thank you again and can't wait to return.

If you want to stay in a spectacular home with outstanding hospitality you must stay here. This home is restored to pure beauty with modern flares. You host will make you fill like you are a friend, not just a guest.

The attic apartment was huge and was thoughtfully appointed. The location is right off the Main Street going through the Heights which was great. The only drawback is the mattress is old and the pillows too soft. Despite that we will be back.

Uphouse Manor is owned by our amazing neighbor, Katrina (a designer)--who has done a fantastic job of creating a beautiful, welcoming home space. We love the place so much we have gifted stays for our closest family and friends--and they loved every minute of their stays! The attic room in particular has been a hit; I would live in that space if it were possible :) The mansion is spotlessly clean, hearty homemade breakfast is served according to one's dietary specifications, and it is literally one street away from numerous shopping and dining spots on W. 19th Street. If you are visiting Houston, forego the traditional hotel and stay here instead!

The Uphouse Manor was a warm, friendly place to stay in the Houston Heights. The physical space is beautiful and decorated very nicely. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. I would consider staying there again. I was not keen on the fact that the door to our room had no way to lock it when you left the room and there was no safe provided to secure valuables.

Great place in a charming neighbourhood with lots of cute little shops and restaurants at walking distance. Yummy breakfast as well, definitely recommend to stay here when in town.

Staying at Uptown Manor House was a delight! Katrina & Claire were attentive and very responsive to my questions. The house is beautiful and in an awesome part of town! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Houston!

I wrote a more lengthy review under the Uphouse Manor - Blue Room since that is the room where I stayed. My friends stayed in this room (I booked it for all), but I know that they enjoyed it!

This was my second stay at Uphouse Manor and, again, I was very much enjoyed my stay. I see that Katrina has earned super host status (which is well deserved). Be sure to enjoy walks through the neighborhood when you stay!

Katrina and Claire were really easy to work with and they were extremely flexible. My flight was delayed until 4 AM in the morning, but Claire still manage to have breakfast prepared. Claire even went out of her way to assist me with figuring out my schedule. I felt welcomed and quickly became a part of the family. The Learning Lamp room is still my favorite as it looks out onto the veranda and provides easy access to anytime lounging. The entire house was renovated and restored with beautiful ornate touches. The room itself was well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It’d be helpful to have an additional lamp inside the room as it can be a bit dim for reading. Otherwise, the lighting provides a warm and relaxing glow. The breakfast was different every day and was prepared by Claire who also has extensive knowledge of the culinary world. I was able to visit with the 5 semi-feral cats that resides on the patio in the back of the house and Lego (the family dog). The location is excellent and is within walking distance to many locations. It’s a very hip neighborhood with tons of things to do. I was going through some difficult times and Claire and Katrina were both very supportive and helpful. They gave me as much privacy as I needed but were always there for me when I needed them. Although our encounters were brief, thank you both for being a part of my life. You both are an inspiration!

My stay was nothing short than perfect. I am new to the area and Alicia and Luis were incredibly welcoming and kind. They had great suggestions on places to relocate permanently and great places to have a meal or have a good time. I would agree 100% with the title of the listing. The room and private bathroom was extremely clean. The bed was also very comfortable. In summary this was a perfect Airbnb experience and would recommend them highly.

Uphouse Manor is the best¡¡¡ Breakfast is great. Fresh food, fresh ingredients. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance less than 5 minutes one of the best areas in town. Great value and more than worth the money. Had a very romantic weekend for me and my wife's anniversary. Katrina handled all of my special requests including requests I needed and didn't think of¡¡Katrina and Amanda are on top of their game and if I could I would give them 10 stars!!

Uphouse Manor was a gem to find! This was my first visit to Houston, staying in the Heights area provided an eclectic neighborhood close to downtown with lots to do and staying at Uphouse Manor was ideal! A clean, lovely space with unique art, antiques, lots of character, courteous staff and a good laidback coffee house/eatery/bar just down the street.

A very nice B&B in a beautiful historic area of Houston, with fun eclectic shops and restaurants within walking distance. The host and her helpers were very warm and friendly and efficient, and offered a nice breakfast each day. Several nice areas to relax and visit inside the house and outside on the porches.

I love the Heights....a neighborhood you can still walk in, beautiful trees. Katrina is an amazing host beginning with french press coffee in the morning to ensuring I knew where to go to shop for a graduation gift. Uphouse Manor is an oasis to come back to after long day(s). I enjoyed the house, the yard, wonderful conversation, and friendly gracious. It was quite a delight.

Our was very welcoming I loved our room and they worked with me so I had an awesome stay with my dog, our rooms were great and the location of this bed and breakfast is perfect, quite neighborhood but close to everything in Houston.

My host is gracious, friendly, respectful and the property is quiet. I made a last minute reservation and she accommodated herself to my arrival. Aside from making a delicious and thoughtful breakfast the coffee was ready promptly and served to me. I loved staying there. It's a well appointed well cared for home. I wanted to take the entire bed, linens and pillows home they were so comfortable. And it was so clean. This B and B made a great impression on me. The neighborhood is very inviting and the host was kind enough to share with me that a great local coffeehouse is around the corner. I hope to go back to Houston soon just so I can stay there again.
