“I'm a bit biased on this one, but Harpers Ferry is a total gem! Something for all: Nature, Views, Hiking, History, it's all here. Check out www.nps.gov/hafe for more details on events etc. An easy 30 min drive away, direct route on 340. The Maryland Heights hike is a local favorite. My personal favorite hike is Loudoun Heights. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy (Visitor Center, Mid-Point of the trail) is also a great destination. ”

“This spot has a gorgeous view of Harpers Ferry. The decrepit, abandoned historic hotel is fascinating, yet creepy to see. Nature is taking over the building as it crumbles year after year. ”
