The location of this beautiful cottage couldn't be better. Imagine staying in a very quiet country setting, with small charming pubs (serving tasty simple meals and great drinks) less than two minutes walk down the street, and only a 25 minute country walk into downtown Cambridge. Even more, we passed banks of black berry bushes covered with ripe berries on our walks back and forth! We would have loved to stay on and on! From a practical standpoint, the cottage is very, very comfortable and pleasant. We could have easily driven to some of the supermarkets in the city for food, but we actually kept our care parked during the entire visit because the walks were so beautiful. It was easy for us to find what foods we needed at Marks and Spencer and carry it home in our back packs. We highly recommend this location!

Easy and prompt communications with James. This a lovely and calming cottage on the edge of charming Grantchester. Beautiful views every morning and gentle walks along the river amongst glowing autumnal colours. All mod cons, tasteful and unobtrusive decor added to the rest fulness. Decent wifi meant that working here (as we regretfully had to) was hassle free. Warm, comfy. Buses into Cambridge or a 50 minute walk along the river-good pubs and just enough people around. A welcomehidey hole for those not wanting to be too far from civilisation.

James was very helpful prior to our stay, answering our questions quickly and in a very friendly manner. We loved the house, it's location is ideal for a quiet break, overlooking fields which lead down to the River Cam. We had the door open for some of out stay as the weather was wonderful and sitting on the bench in the garden for a quiet cup of tea was great. We had a really lovely time in Grantchester. The cottage was welcoming and homely and had everything we needed for the weekend. A pleasant 45 minute walk into Cambridge along the river, and 4 pubs in the village to choose from!

Our second time at this cottage, we don't make a habit of returning to places but we love this place. We can feel relaxed, walk across the meadows into Cambridge, pop next door (nearly) to a great little pub with good food and catch up with work (eek) via the excellent wifi. Lovely room, cracking breakfast, great location in Cambridge and an all round lovely family. Damian and Sue had no problem with my last minute booking, even though they were due to be away during my stay. Their daughter took over the running of the b&b halfway through and everything remained great. What struck me most was how friendly all three were. Overall, it was perfect for what I needed during my short stay. I wish I had some constructive tips for you as I know you said the business was very new, but I wouldn't change anything! Was a really lovely flat and had a great stay!

Great apartment in a convenient location for visiting the city of Cambridge... we parked at the apartment and took a taxi into town, which was under £10 each way. Fantastic.

Excellent comms and easy to pick up and drop off keys. Modern, clean and well appointed flat with great wifi and massive shower/bathroom - very much recommended. Very close to park and ride for central access, with nearby Waitrose and best of all a genuine Car Park space. Only downside is as it is on new estate there are few pubs or restaurants in walking distance.

Can't say enough good things about this apartment! Had everything we possibly needed in the kitchen, had a washing machine which was so handy, and also cleaning utensils like a mop and Hoover which is nice when there for a long time. The bed was so comfy, nice to have a bath and shower. Apartment was spotlessly clean, felt safe and in a lovely location which was a 5 min walk from a regular bus stop and 10 min drive to town. The apartment was so nicely furnished and would love to stay here again, it felt like home!

Our stay at Guy's place was awesome, the place lived up to the expectations (pictures), was in a quiet area and very easy to get into town. The building is new, there is a great parking space in case you need to park a car. Easy to get to Waitrose to stock up for the stay. Guy was the perfect host, communication was great and gave us all the required info timely (like check in and check out instructions).

A very pleasant stay in a clean, modern and tidy home. Terrific host on hand to help. Unfortunately numerous basics missing on arrival (such as a single bath towel) but I'm sure the host will correct these things. A wonderful stay otherwise in a lovely apartment.

Sonia and Dawn were lovely hosts, very warm and welcoming. They gave us advice on where to visit in Cambridge when we arrived. The house is beautiful, and the room very warm and cosy; everything is finished to a high standard. The room is directly above the shared kitchen, connected by an open staircase. We were initially concerned about privacy, but Sonia and Dawn were very mindful and respectful of this, and actually it felt like we were the only ones in the house. Clean towels and linen was supplied for both of us. The bus directly outside takes you straight into the city centre (10-15 mins). So long as you check the bus times, its very easy to get into town. We took a taxi back one time which was just £8. There are a few pubs/restaurants close by, but we didn't get a chance to sample them. If I was going back to Cambridge I wouldn't hesitate to book again :)

Sonia is a wonderful host. She has always been available to help if needed. The room is very spacious. The desk has a comfortable chair. The jacuzzi bath is fantastic - couldn't wait to get home after work to have a bath! :) There is a door that separates the room from the rest of the house. The kitchen is shared and it is very modern. Very well connected to hospital and city centre.

Sonia and Dawn are very friendly and very respectful of the privacy of the guest. The room connects directly to the kitchen, but usually quiet and do not go the necessary cooking time. The center is about 40 min and the hospital at about 30. Good communication bus, with a stop right next to the house. For me it has been a good experience, I would recommend without hesitation.

Really beautiful cottage, with everything you could need! Comfy bed, jacuzzi bath or rain shower, and easy access to a nice cup of tea, all coupled with the cottagey feel including exposed beams and the Cambridge countryside on your doorstep. Brilliant location for accessing Anstey Hall too, if you're there for a wedding! Sonia is really accommodating and incredibly helpful. A wonderful Airbnb host!

Would highly recommend. Stayed there for 2 months while doing some hands on study in the city. Public transport in and out was easy and frequent. I was going through a bit of a rough time as I had recently hurt my knee. Sonia was very supportive, helping me find ways around my mobility situation. The room itself is large with plenty of space and perfect for any type of stay.

My family loved the fact that this house was not right in the middle of town, yet didn't feel totally out of it. It is easy to walk to the bus stop so very easy to get around. The house feels safe, secure and warm and is really nice and spacious. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends.

The residence corresponded exactly to the pictures and description, and represented the perfect environment for a week's vacation in / around Cambridge. Peter was very welcoming and helpful, and he responded quickly to the few questions we had - a sublime host :-).

Peter emailed thorough instructions and everything was as described upon arrival. The location was fantastic, the guided bus was just down the footpath which made traveling into Cambridge so easy.

Peter actually met with my travel companions before I arrived the same night and immediately made them feel welcome and gave them lots of helpful advice about the Bungalow and surrounding area. The location is wonderful, right near Grantchester and a couple of minute's walk to the bus stop for a short journey straight into town. If you felt really energetic you could walk it. There is space for two cars to park securely in the driveway. The house itself is clean and incredibly spacious, comfortably housing four of us in its two bedrooms/ two bathrooms. Furnishings are modern and there are plenty of basics like teatowels/ bath towels and bedding with extra blankets. The wifi is also great which meant I could get some work done. The setting is quiet with virtually no traffic noise. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Bungalow was very well equipped and had everything necessary for a great stay in Cambridge. Peter sent detailed instructions on how to reach his bungalow and tips on good restaurants and what to do and where to visit to make our stay even more enjoyable

This was our second visit and, as with our first, we were very satisfied with the facilities and cleanliness of the property. Really useful guidance and information on arrival (unlike other places we've stayed at). Hope to be back another time.

Peter answered all of our questions very promptly and provided excellent information. The bungalow is exactly as described and we spent three days there very comfortably, enjoying the free Wi-Fi and walks on your doorstep (park close by for my four year old with a great play area). It is a perfect location for visiting Cambridge and the surrounding area - quiet but close to amenities. Would absolutely consider staying there again if coming back to the area.

Quiet, residential location but minimal facilities and poor cleanliness.

The place is could be really nice but the cleanness is the problem, it is a mess, everything even the room that they offer I would not recommend it and I was very disappointed because it was a expensive and I was expecting something nice.

I was not at all satisfied with my experience with Gici, as I felt cheated. I initially booked via instant book and paid for my one night stay, however, I was informed by Gici that the room was no longer available. Upon asking for a refund, she informed me that she can book me a room in one of the colleges in the area for £100, which out of desire for a quick solution and since it was close to my travel date, I accepted and cancelled my other accommodation with Airbnb. The college room was fantastic and no issues with the room itself, however on check out I was told that the room cost £40-50. When I brought this to Gici attention, she denied the cost, saying it was more than £80 with a £20 booking charge she had added on top (she never informed me that there would be any charge and only informed the cost of the room in total). Upon asking for a receipt, she refused to provide one. After some back and forth discussion, she informed me that she will provide a refund, but since has stopped replying to my messages. I can't help but think this is a scam to use the college rooms and make great profit from not providing any service.

The tenants were very kind and helpful but the room was a mess. There was dust everywhere and the sheets on the bed were dirty. I would not recommend it.

Thang greeted me before I could even call him or ring the door bell. He made things so easy, pulling up directions and giving advice as to how I could get from his place to the university. The listing makes the room look smaller than it is. Botanical Gardens are within a short walking distance, and the area is beautiful. Thang and his wife were both very sweet and polite, even offering me a home-cooked dinner one night. Then I had an extra late checkout so I wouldn't have to lug my bag around on the last day. I'd highly recommend this place!

I booked this room for my employee Eleanor to stay in whilst away from work. Thang was very communicative and helpful from the start. The house was easy to find and comfortable.

Thang and his wife are friendly, helpful, and also interesting people to stay and interact with. They allow you to use whatever facility you need in their house—extremely hospitable. Detail: the mattress in the bed is also of good quality which always remains to be seen with airbnbs.

We had a lovely warm welcome from Catherine. We immediately felt at home. The room corresponded to the description, was sunny, clean and spacious. There was a mattress on the floor for our 10 year old daughter. The in-suite bathroom was very nicely decorated. All along our stay, Catherine provided us with tips, maps, directions and other helpful pieces of advice.
